- 1:08SPEAKER_00: I just went.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: And I I made a commitment to myself to do it every single week.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: And now creeping up on episode 100, it's kind of crazy.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Like I'm I'm proud.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: I'm proud of myself for for sticking with it long enough.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: You know, anytime you stick with something longer than average, which is like longer than three weeks, but longer than average, you should be giving yourself credit for that.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Okay?
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: And I'm not afraid to say, yes, I'm proud of myself for sticking with it for 96 episodes, soon to be a hundred.

- 2:59SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Um, today today's gonna be short and sweet, um, but it's it's important.

- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Damn, why am I why am I being so weird about this?
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: This episode is brought to you by Easy Agent Pro.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: They are the website company, the real estate website company that I've used for years, over three years now.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Uh search Salt Lake, my my website, my my brand, my home base is with Easy Agent Pro.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: I actually sought them out to be a sponsor of the show.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: That's what I everyone who's sponsored my show, I've actually reached out to and asked them to be part of it.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be pushing something or promoting something because I'm being paid to do it.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: I want to do it because it's the right thing, that it it's something I actually believe in, that I actually use myself.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: And if I if there's compensation attached to it, awesome, but it needs to be for the right reasons.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: So I sought them out because they are the best value in the industry.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: You need a real estate website.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: If you're an agent, you must have a website.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: People are going to Google you.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: I don't care if you get 100% of your business from referrals.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: If you're referred, what does that person do?
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: They Google you, and if they don't find you anywhere, that's a problem.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: A real estate website is a must, and there is no better, no better value in the industry than Easy Agent Pro.

- 5:11SPEAKER_00: You get the CRM for free.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: And the only way to get all that is to go to uh MassiveAgent Podcast.com slash EAP.

- 5:29SPEAKER_00: So thank you, Easy Agent Pro for supporting the show.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: And guys, go support them.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: I know I do.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: I I can't even think of where I'd be in my content marketing business and career without Easy Agent Pro.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: I wouldn't have been able to afford anything decent if it wasn't for them.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: So Easy Agent Pro is awesome.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: All right, speaking of content and being found online, we talk a lot on this show about putting out stuff and how to do it and you know, tactics about how to how to do this certain post and then put it on this platform and how to maximize it with hashtags and this, that, and the other.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: And and it's all about putting it out there, right?
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: Yes, you absolutely must be focused on getting the consumer's attention first and being found online, being visible, being known at a local level.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: You must.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: But there's there's more to it than that.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: It's not just about getting attention.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: It's not just about somebody finding your website through a Google search, it's not just about seeing your videos on the you know within their Facebook and Instagram feeds.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: You must do that.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: But now once people see you, once you have their attention, or once yeah, once you have their attention, you have to actually show that you're competent.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: You have to actually show that you have some substance to you, that you know what you're talking about.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: There's many different stages to this, and they're all important, and that's why I wanted to do this show specifically is because I feel like a lot of times we only focus on the content.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: We only focus on getting attention, we only focus on people finding us.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: You've got to do that, but then once once they find you, you've got to show that you know it that you're competent.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: You have to deliver the goods.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: If remember, on Facebook especially, you're interrupting them with your content.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Facebook and Instagram.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: They're not searching for it.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: You're they're seeing it in their feed, you're interrupting their feed, their regularly scheduled feed.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: There's so all of a sudden this video you did is showing up in front of them.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: You get their attention, they're watching, they're listening.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: They're making a judgment call all within a few seconds of is this even worth watching?
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: Is this interesting?
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: Are they credible?
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: Do they know what they're talking about?
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: Could they actually get the job done if I were to hire them?
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: You know, maybe I should tell my sister-in-law about them, or you know, or would that be bad?
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Let's find out if they're even good at what they do.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Do they have reviews, that kind of stuff?
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: It's important.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: It it's all the same process.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: We just have to focus on it.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: So I absolutely believe, as you've heard on many, many episodes, you have to do the attention-getting stuff.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: You have to do the engagement posts, you have to do the the the local community-based stuff that has nothing to do with real estate, because you need to get the consumers' attention and you need to get them coming back for more.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: And and the you have to do that.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: That that's the top of the funnel.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: The very first step is get their attention.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: Then how are you gonna keep it?
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: You gotta keep their attention.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: You have to um I mean the power of social media is it's this tool where people can get to know you at scale.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: You can have a thousand people at the same time getting to know you and your personality and your, you know, reading your body language and and making a judgment call on who you are as a person, your personality.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: You can't do that on any other you can't do that face to face.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: It's just it's one person at a time.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: Unless you're speaking on a big stage, but even still a thousand people in a room, that's a big room.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Like, how often does that happen?
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: Even for a professional speaker, like you know, I go do speaking events, it's rare that I have a thousand people in a room.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Like, that's a big event.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: But you could regularly have a thousand people watching your videos on social media, sometimes for free, if it's good stuff.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: So when they're doing that, you need to be likable.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Show, show your family life.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: Show who you are as a person.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: What are your hobbies?
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: What do you like to do?
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: When you're not at the office, what are you doing?
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Are you hiking in the mountains?
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: Are you surfing?
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: Are you doing crafts?
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Are you making soap?
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Are you playing with your kids?
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Show some of that stuff.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: And look, we all have we all have our limits, we all have a certain um uh governor, so to speak, where we're like, okay, this is too much.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: I don't want to show too much of my personal life.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: I need to keep some stuff private.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: That's up to you.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Whatever you feel comfortable sharing, share.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: Because when you show that you're playing with your kids in the backyard, being goofy, people make connections with that.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: That's relatable, that's likable.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: So you you have to do that stuff.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: You have to show who you are.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: You can't just do interviews with restaurant owners.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: You can't only do that.
- 10:11SPEAKER_00: You have to show your personality in those interviews.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: Then you have to show who you are as a person when you're not working.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Who are you as a person?
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: What do you like doing?
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: What are your interests?
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: What are your hobbies?
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: All that stuff.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: You've got to do it.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Your interests.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Then substance.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: You gotta sprinkle in uh let's say you're you're documenting your day.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, let's say you're doing Instagram stories, you're documenting your day, you're going to show some homes.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Sprinkle in there a little bit so that it doesn't take five minutes, but you know, just hey, did do you know what the difference between quartz and granite is?
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: And here's how you can tell.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: You know, like show that if you're in a kitchen and it's relevant.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Show it.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Show an example.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Show how, when you're looking at the front of the house, some ideas for making the curbapeel better and what curbapeel means for how fast the home will sell and how much it'll sell for.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: You can talk about that stuff within 10, 20, 30 seconds to show you know what you're talking about and deliver some sort of value and education.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: You have to sprinkle that in there as well.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: Guys, if you're doing content marketing correctly, you're doing all of this at the same time.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Not every post, not every not every video is accomplishing all of these, but you're kind of hitting it all.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: Okay, you're showing substance, you're showing that you you know the market, you know the neighborhood you're in, you know how many homes are selling, you know how many how how slow homes are selling, if maybe they're not even selling.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: You can sprinkle in little tidbits here and there that show you've studied, you're you have knowledge, you have expertise, you have experience, and it's just by documenting what you're doing and doing it in a way that's authentic to you, where you're showing your personality, show you're an expert.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: If you're an expert in a certain part of being a real estate agent, figure out how to highlight that in videos, in Facebook posts, in LinkedIn posts, all of it.
- 12:03SPEAKER_00: How do you highlight that in a way that you're not overdoing it, in a way that's natural, that is sprinkled in with who you are as a person and you just living your life.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: If you're not if you're a new agent and you're not yet comfortable with this, that's okay.
- 12:21SPEAKER_00: The one of the best things you could do as a new agent is go and see as many homes as possible, study the shit out of the MLS and the and the stats, study the market, study the stats.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: If you don't know how to read the stats, talk to your broker, call the MLS, ask them how to decipher them, ask them how to run certain reports and what they mean, ask other agents.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Um you know, you've got to learn this stuff.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: But once you start to wrap your head around it and you feel like you know your market, you're gonna gain confidence.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: You're and that's gonna shine through.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: If you know that in this particular area between 45th South and 39th South, that homes are selling on average in 32 days, whereas the the rest of the surrounding area is selling in 45 days, you could say, hey, this is one of the hottest areas in Mill Creek.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: You know, in this area, this is one of the hottest neighborhoods because homes are selling 12 days faster on average.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: This is a complete example.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Totally hypothetical.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: But you get what I'm saying.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: That type of stuff can only happen, can only be sprinkled in naturally in your content if you've stu if you've taken the time and made the effort to study up on it.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: New agents and agents who are stuck, and agents who just don't have a lot of confidence that you're the best one for the job, that you're up to the challenge, that you're the best one to represent a client, you need to build some confidence quickly.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: And a great way to do that is to study, build your knowledge, build your your uh expertise, study the market, study homes, study the styles of homes, study uh design trends, like whatever you need to feel like you have a handle on what you're doing and what you offer.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: And that if somebody has a question, look, you don't even need to have all the answers.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: I don't have all the answers.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: You need to feel okay and confident enough that when you're asked a question that you don't know the answer to, that you're like, hmm, that's a great question.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Let me go find out.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: Rather than, oh my God, I can't I don't know the answer.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, what am I gonna do?
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: They're they're gonna see right through me, they're gonna see that I don't know what I'm talking about.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: Oh my God, I I have to know all the all the answers.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: You have to become confident enough to realize you don't need all the answers, if that makes sense.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: A lot of what I'm talking about with showing that that you have substance and showing that you're credible and know what you're talking about, it it comes from confidence.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: And there's so many different ways to build it.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: So whatever you need to do to build that confidence, do it.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Whether that's that could mean something different for everybody.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: Meditation, for me, it's just like wrapping my head around what I'm doing, the market, how you know, reading articles, watching videos, learning new new uh tactics and tricks and new uh new perspectives helps me over time to build my confidence.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: And and once you do, that shines through.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: So you don't you you don't necessarily have to explicitly talk about real estate things or uh you know talk about this neighborhood homes are selling, you know, 32 days on average.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Like you don't need to necessarily do that unless it's natural and you're not overdoing that stuff, because you know I don't I'm always telling you rarely ever talk about real estate.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: But you also want to be knowledgeable about the community for sure.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: You you want to know that, hey, this this part of town, you know, and these three blocks, there's so much development going on.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Here's the reason why this new 28-story hotel is about to go in, they're gonna have retail on the first on the first two floors, then there's gonna be condos for the next eight floors, and then the rest is hotel.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Like if you know all that stuff, that shines through.
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Okay, you could you could still show you know what the hell you're talking about and have it be about the community.
- 16:09SPEAKER_00: Hopefully you get you get the concept here of what I'm proposing, the concept of what I'm what I'm saying.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: We we talk way too much, and I'm guilty of this on this show, because it it's a marketing show.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Uh ideas and strategies for marketing.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: That's that's all meant to get the consumers attention.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Once you do, are you gonna are they going to feel you're credible, that you know what the hell you're talking about?
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: So start thinking about that.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: That that means something different to every single one of you.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: And the way that you display your credibility, the way that you display your expertise and knowledge is different for every single one of you.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: But you've got to start thinking about it as a one-two punch.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Get their attention, back it up.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: Get their attention, back up the fact that you that you're the right one for the job.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: Back it up.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Whatever that means, awesome.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: Start thinking about it because it's not talked about enough.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: There's way too much conversation only about you should do this, you should do that, here, you know, text text posts perform so much better on LinkedIn than video, like blah blah blah.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: That's all true.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: But again, that's just the first step.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Get attention, get people to notice you, get people to know your that you and your brand exist first, then win them over with credibility, win them over with substance, win them over with um expertise.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Short and sweet, but extremely important.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: Please don't blow past this.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: Don't don't go to the next episode and be like, damn it, give me more tactics.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Until you really internalize this, this matters a lot.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: You could do all the tactics, you could have all the things done right, you could be doing all the things right to get attention and marketing.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: You could be doing all those things right.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: But if you're not if you're like, why is my business not growing?
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Why am I not able to convert any of these any of these people into clients?
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: It's because you lack credibility, you lack substance, they they don't feel like you are what they thought you were when when you first got their attention.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: That's why.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: So please take this seriously.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: I am uh today actually, when the show comes out, I am up in Madison, Wisconsin for Neil Mathweg's Onion Wow, I almost called it the Onion Rise Summit.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: It's probably not the last time I'll do that.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: The the Agent Rise Summit, formerly the Onion Juice Podcast, now it's the Agent Rise podcast, so forgive me.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: But I'm up in Madison, Wisconsin, and speaking today at uh what is it, 2.30 in the afternoon, I believe, on some advanced Facebook ads strategies for agents.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: So if you have a virtual ticket to the Agent Rise Summit, awesome, good for you.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: And uh I guess I'll see you later this afternoon then.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: But uh super stoked to be up there.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: I'm excited because this is a mastermind event.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: And if you heard my um massive agent minute flash briefing the other day, masterminds are so powerful because it's it's a two-way thing.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: It's not just going to a conference and being spoken to and learning some information.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: Uh it's it it's a conversation.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: It's it's sitting down with people at lunch, sitting down with people uh after the event's over or during a break, and and filling in those missing pieces in what you're trying to do by learning what somebody else is doing.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Learning masterminds are so amazingly powerful because you can hear how somebody else has put their business strategy together, and you might not even know which questions to ask to put your strategy together, but all of a sudden they say something like, hey, I'm doing this thing this way, and they say it in a way that you're like, that's it, that's the missing piece, that's what I've been looking for.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: That that those type of breakthroughs, those type of uh, those types of situations happen all the time at Masterminds.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: That's why masterminds are so powerful and so I'm just excited about about uh about this event.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: It's uh I'm recording this before I go up there, of course, so I I don't really know what it's like and what we're doing.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: I assume it's gonna be frickin' awesome in a in a state that's known for just copious amounts of cheese, what could possibly go wrong?
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: I mean, could it even get any better?
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: I don't think so.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: But I challenge you to go to any mastermind that you possibly can that has like-minded people.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: If there's a mastermind that you're aware of that you want to go to, you don't know if you could you don't know if you could figure out the scheduling or the money or whatever to get there.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Masterminds need to be top priority.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: Masterminds are where big decisions are made and big shifts in your business, positive ones, happen from masterminds.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: They're inspired by masterminds, they happen at masterminds, and uh th there's just nothing better.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: So I'm honored to do it.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: I'm honored that Neil Mathweg would invite me to do that.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: Super excited, and I'm I'm looking forward to reporting back to you guys next week about the event and uh and you know just tell you what I've learned and and what went on and and bring back some of the knowledge to you guys and to uh to all of you listening.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: So looking forward to that.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm gonna I'm gonna wrap it up.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: Guys, thank you so much for listening this week to this short and sweet episode.
- 21:34SPEAKER_00: I'll be back next week with another interview of an amazing top producer or industry leader.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: But this week, really think about um do you back up your ability to get attention with substance?
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Are you converting as many people as you as you should be to clients, or are they falling through the cracks because you just don't have credibility?
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: They just don't think you they just don't think you have what they thought you had when they first when you first came onto the radar.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: So, guys, thank you so much.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Appreciate it everyone who's listens to the show, everyone who's left reviews on iTunes, everyone who's downloaded the Industry Syndicate app, everyone who's followed me on Instagram and sent a message just saying, hey, I want to say thank you.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: I I do this show for you guys.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Uh there's a lot of awesome stuff that um that I'm able to do because of this show, but none of it would be possible without you.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: So thank you.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: Thank you for listening, thank you for uh just being the the best audience in podcasting.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: As I've said before, it is a proven scientific fact that I'd rather you not fact check, but just believe me, you are the best audience in podcasting.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: Enjoy your weekend, go close some loans, go sell some homes, take care.
