Transcript
- 0:00Donald Trump mentioned the young, beautiful girls
- 0:02who come to the White House five times at his
- 0:05rally yesterday. Meanwhile, Trump's Justice Department
- 0:08is being sued over access to unredacted Epstein
- 0:10files that Congress has claimed implicate Trump.
- 0:14No connection to the young, beautiful girls,
- 0:16wink wink. Trump is bringing back World War II
- 0:18-era steam catapults for future aircraft carriers,
- 0:22potentially costing the Navy more than a billion
- 0:24dollars. Melania Trump hasn't been seen in public
- 0:27for 27 days, and sailors aboard a US aircraft
- 0:31carrier are reportedly being fed two tortillas
- 0:33and a slice of bread, while testosterone is apparently
- 0:37in unlimited supply. The internet had some very
- 0:40specific questions about the junk in Trump's
- 0:42trunk. Watch to the end, you'll see why. It's
- 0:46time for Breaking Absurdity. Everything you didn't
- 0:50know you needed to know today, but wish you hadn't.

- 1:07absurdity. Let's get right into it, starting
- 1:11with Donald Trump's extremely specific description
- 1:13of the woman who came to the White House. At
- 1:16a law and order rally in New York yesterday,
- 1:18Trump repeatedly talked about young, beautiful
- 1:21girls so many times the audience couldn't keep
- 1:23count anymore. These young, these gorgeous, beautiful
- 1:38girls, they want to be safe and they come. Mr.
- 1:42President, may I speak to you? Yes. Thank you,
- 1:44sir. Thank you. I said, why are you thanking
- 1:46me? Because a year and a half ago, I was afraid
- 1:50to leave. I was afraid to open the door of my
- 1:52apartment. And now I walk to the White House
- 1:55every morning and I have absolutely no fear.
- 1:57Thank you, sir. He was talking about women telling
- 2:01him they feel safer in Washington because of
- 2:04his administration's crime policies, but Trump
- 2:06talked about other constituents he consistently
- 2:09gets it from. Yes, we all know what you mean,
- 2:23Mr. President. You're getting it constantly.
- 2:26While Trump was talking openly about all the
- 2:28beautiful girls coming to the White House, New
- 2:31Mexico was suing Trump's Justice Department.
- 2:34The state wants access to unredacted Epstein
- 2:36files connected to Jeffrey Epstein's former Zorro
- 2:39Ranch in New Mexico. New Mexico's Attorney General
- 2:42says the Justice Department is withholding documents
- 2:45that are needed for the state's investigation.
- 2:48So just to recap, while Trump was savoring all
- 2:51the beautiful young girls who come to the White
- 2:53House, New Mexico was calling on the other line
- 2:56asking, where are the Epstein files? That allegedly
- 2:59involved Donald Trump. Sadly, that call went
- 3:02to voicemail. Maybe next time, send a voice memo.
- 3:07Now, if you've ever heard Trump talk about steam
- 3:09catapults and wondered what the hell he was talking
- 3:12about, congratulations, I finally know you're
- 3:15welcome. Trump has been complaining about the
- 3:18Navy's electromagnetic catapult system for years,
- 3:21and now he's actually ordered the Navy to go
- 3:23backwards. The administration wants future Ford
- 3:27-class aircraft carriers to replace the electromagnetic
- 3:30launch system with steam -powered catapults.
- 3:34Catapults. Which is better? Electric or steam?
- 3:45The President of the United States has looked
- 3:48at one of the most advanced aircraft carriers
- 3:50in the world and apparently thought, how about
- 3:52some revolutionary 1940s technology? That's what
- 3:56this ship needs. The order applies to future
- 3:59carriers, including the USS Doris Miller, whose
- 4:02electromagnetic system is already about halfway
- 4:05through production. The manufacturer has warned
- 4:07that changing cores could create major costs
- 4:10and schedule problems. So the Navy is apparently
- 4:13going to spend a whole lot of money replacing
- 4:15state -of -the -art technology with obsolete
- 4:18technology because that's exactly what the military
- 4:21needs right now. Just another quote -unquote
- 4:24upgrade that Donald Trump can take credit for.
- 4:27Are we great yet? Meanwhile, on the USS Abraham
- 4:30Lincoln, thousands of sailors have reportedly
- 4:33been dealing with food shortages and deteriorating
- 4:36conditions after more than 250 consecutive days
- 4:38at sea. With reports that sailors have attempted
- 4:42jumping overboard, families have described food
- 4:44becoming scarce. One reported meal was essentially
- 4:47a small portion of shredded meat and a single
- 4:50tortilla, which is not exactly the well -fed
- 4:53fighting force aesthetic that Pete Hegseth is
- 4:56going for. There have also been reports of poor
- 4:59morale, plumbing problems and other shortages
- 5:01aboard the carrier. But don't worry, because
- 5:04apparently there is a solution. Testosterone.
- 5:07Because while sailors are apparently asking where
- 5:10their food is, Pete Hagseth is more focused on
- 5:13testosterone than keeping our sailors well fed
- 5:15and mentally stable. Priorities. And now it's
- 5:19time for an update on Turtle Watch. Mitch McConnell
- 5:22has not made a public appearance since June 14th
- 5:25when he was hospitalized after a fall. That's
- 5:28now more than 60 days. 60 days. His office has
- 5:33released photographs and statements saying he's
- 5:35recovering and remains engaged with Senate business.
- 5:38So to be clear, we're not claiming he's missing,
- 5:40he's just… remarkably absent from public life.
- 5:44Which brings us to today's question, where is
- 5:47the turtle? While everyone's trying to find the
- 5:49turtle that apparently got lost in a shell during
- 5:52rehab, there's another disappearance people are
- 5:55starting to notice. I'm talking about Melania
- 5:57Trump. And unlike Mitch McConnell, she doesn't
- 6:00have a medical explanation for why she's been
- 6:03missing. She just hasn't been around much. The
- 6:06Daily Beast recently went through Melania Trump's
- 6:08public calendar and found that she has appeared
- 6:10publicly on just 38 days this year. Her last
- 6:14public appearance was July 19th when she attended
- 6:16the World Cup final with Trump. So naturally,
- 6:19we're adding a second counter, we already have
- 6:21Turtle Watch, now we have Where's Melania? We'll
- 6:25keep you posted, assuming she shows up. And finally,
- 6:29Donald Trump is threatening to treat the Strait
- 6:31of Hormuz as U .S. territory, which is an interesting
- 6:34proclamation considering that it's not even clear
- 6:36there's a strategy to win the war, much less
- 6:39start claiming territory for pleases few Americans
- 6:42had even heard of prior to the conflict. Trump
- 6:45made the remarks during the same New York appearance.
- 6:47In international news, an Australian woman claims
- 6:50that her urologist's AI hallucinated that she
- 6:53was microdosing mushrooms, and the woman found
- 6:56out after reviewing her own medical records.
- 6:59Experts warn the error may have been caused by
- 7:00her AI doing some microdosing of its own. Finally,
- 7:05political analysts are reporting that Trump is
- 7:06facing a White House exodus, with Caroline Levitt
- 7:10making her sudden departure as White House press
- 7:12secretary after returning from maternity leave
- 7:15to spend more time with her family. And David
- 7:18Warrington stepping down from his role as White
- 7:21House General Counsel, among others. So apparently
- 7:24the White House is experiencing an exodus, Caroline
- 7:26Levitt is spending more time with her family,
- 7:29David Warrington is stepping down, and several
- 7:31others are headed for the exits. At this rate,
- 7:34the only person who might actually be staying
- 7:36in the White House is the guy who lives there.
- 7:39And finally, the internet demands to know what
- 7:42the hell is going on with Trump's rump. Footage
- 7:45from behind Trump was posted on X, with viewers
- 7:48fixating on what appears to be a strange bulge
- 7:50underneath the right side of his suit jacket,
- 7:53asking, why does it look like there's a box on
- 7:56his right cheek? And honestly, once someone points
- 7:59it out, it is remarkably difficult to unsee.
- 8:03We only know one thing for sure, the internet
- 8:05cares deeply about it. So if any of my loyal
- 8:08viewers have a theory, please let me know in
- 8:10the comments below. This is important journalism.
