VOICE NOTE #111 — I Didn't Expect It to Go That Deep...

I was having a day.

Frustrated. Angry. Tired of feeling like I should be further along than I am.

And somewhere in the middle of sitting with all of that, Spirit showed me a tree.

Deep roots.

A strong trunk.

Branches reaching toward the sky.

Tiny fruit that simply wasn't ripe yet.

And sunlight.

So much sunlight that, naturally, there was shadow too.

Maybe seeing the shadow doesn't mean we've gone backward.

Maybe sometimes we just need to sit in the shade for a little while.

That would have been a perfectly lovely place for this voice…
