- 0:57SPEAKER_02: Now let's jump in.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: Okay, podcast listeners, I'm so excited for the guest today.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: She's a woman after my own heart.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: I think we have a very similar demographic follower.
- 1:14SPEAKER_02: Um, I've listened to her podcasts a bunch and know her perspective on GLPs, midlife, weight loss, supporting women, not judging.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: She's definitely a girl's girl like me.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: Karen Rattel is a certified hormone specialist and the CEO of Midlife Solutions, a woman's health clinic for focus on biodental hormone therapy.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: She also hosts the Hormone Solution, a top 1% podcast with more than two and a half million downloads.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: And once you hear her talk about this stuff, you'll understand why.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: Karen has worked with thousands of women who were doing everything right and still couldn't lose the weight.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: We know how that feels.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: And she still felt awful.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: She still couldn't get a straight answer from anyone, which was really frustrating.
- 1:57SPEAKER_02: So now I have a long list of questions.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: I cannot wait to hear her story.
- 2:00SPEAKER_02: Now let's dive in.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: All right, Karen, I'm so excited for this podcast today.
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: I have been binging your podcast.
- 2:09SPEAKER_02: You're an OG, so props up to you.
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: But you know, a big thing that my listeners know for 2026 is I'm a girls' girl, like at the core of who I am, and linking arms with other like-minded women, especially in your world of HRT and expertise in hormones and midlife, like you are speaking to my community.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: I'm not a hormone specialist.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: And my God, I could use your help right now.
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: I'll I'll share a little bit my story as we get into where I am in my whole journey.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: I'm for 51, and so I'm in like the thick of it.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Um, but you know, just being an advocate, you know, I think right now in the world of peptides and HRT in a great way, we're all shining.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: We're having a moment and we play very well together.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: And when you find someone who not only is very authentic and doesn't mind kind of taking on a little bit of the challenge head-on in terms of your viewpoint on peptides, how they can integrate in the world of midlife and where we are.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: And, you know, it's not always easy to talk the way you speak.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: And so I'm just honored that you took the time to come on my platform for our listeners to kind of just dive in.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: And if you don't mind just sharing a little bit of who you are, I did an intro, but I want to hear it from you.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so I got into this space a really long time ago, over 10 years ago now, because of course my own struggles with hormones.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: And at the time I had been a practicing nutritionist helping women with weight loss resistance and hormonal imbalances.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: And I'm, you know, in my late 30s at the time, and I had this great practice.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: So I was a nutritionist and I'm helping all these women, and I thought I had it all figured out and I ate really well.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: I'd been eating like a clean paleo-based diet, lifting heavy, doing all the things I didn't drink, I didn't smoke anymore, none of those things.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: And I thought, oh, I've got perimenopause and menopause in the bag.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Like, I know so much, right?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: I got this.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I got this.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: Like, had somebody asked me then, what do you think your perimenopause or menopause was gonna be like?
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: I'd be like, oh, you know, when I'm 50, I might have some hot flashes for a couple of months, and then I'm gonna lose my period, and voila, I'm gonna be in menopause.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: And at 42, I from like a bunch of like it's a long story, but I was kind of put on the wrong medication.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: And anyways, I got sent into menopause early.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: So I started losing my period, having all of these symptoms within months, I gained 15 pounds.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: And that's a lot on my 5'3 frame.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Yes, I never changed anything, and suddenly I'm packing the weight on, I'm depressed, I can't get off my couch, I got no energy, I'm hot flashing, I'm night sweating all day.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: Just like, what just happened?
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Like, never in a million years did I think that could happen to me?
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: And so I came out of the experience going, we are not being told anything.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Like, if me, the person that's been in this world practicing nutritionist, working with hormones, didn't think that I was gonna go through that, then how many other women out there in the world don't realize what's coming down the pipeline?
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: And they think us healthy women think we're gonna have it easy because we're healthy.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: And what I realized from that experience was you could be the healthiest person in the world doing everything right, and you could still get slammed with the worst symptoms of hormonal loss, and you cannot diet or exercise or biohack your way out of it.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: No, and I think we all need to hear that.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: And because symptoms are getting worse because of the environment and the stress and the way women are nowadays, perimenopause is usually eight to ten years.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: 80% of women are gonna have symptoms of it, 25% are gonna have severe symptoms, and when I say severe, it can be life-threatening.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: Yes, women have taken their own lives, they've had to quit their jobs, they've left marriages.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: It can be absolutely awful for women.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: And we need to recognize that this can happen to anybody.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: I think that's a good thing.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: And yes, we want those foundational pieces in.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Yes, it is, it is.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: And I think because we as women that are healthy and are trying to do everything right, we blame ourselves if we start to feel awful.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Or we see online all of these comments of from women going, I just prioritize my routine and I never had a single hot flash.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: You know, I've seen it all.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: I've seen like recently, what did I see?
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: It was so bad.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Like this woman was online going, oh, this this is this is one of the best.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: I started eating one cup of blueberries every day.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: And I swear that is why I did not get symptoms of perimenopause.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: By the way, she probably didn't even have a lot of people.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: I wanted to reach through and I know, right?
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: I was like, don't say that.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: That's not blueberries are not gonna be the cure to perimenopause.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Sorry, but doesn't work like that.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: I think to your point, too, and I find this a lot in my industry with peptides, is that because we're online so much, there's so much noise and like false narratives.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: I actually saw a clip the other day which you you would die.
- 7:52SPEAKER_02: I don't even know who it was.
- 7:53SPEAKER_02: It was on TikTok.
- 7:54SPEAKER_02: And basically, this woman is sitting there saying, like, well, because of peptides, you don't have to go on any HRT.
- 8:01SPEAKER_02: You don't need no, you don't need any hormone replacement.
- 8:04SPEAKER_02: And I'm sitting here being like, oh my gosh, though they're the best marriage ever.
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: You know, and I'm going, I'm sitting there being like, that is so irresponsible.
- 8:15SPEAKER_02: A, and mind you, I love peptides, but that is so irresponsible to sit on a big platform and say that you do not need to think about hormone replacement therapy of any type to get through menopause or perimenopause, get on peptides.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: That is not gonna solve your problem at all.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: In fact, you're just wasting your money and flush the peptides down the drain.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: Like if you don't have, and I'm not saying, and I think I would love to ask you some more questions about the, you know, the hormone replacement side of perimenopause and menopause is it's not linear, right?
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: So it's like when I say you need to have your hormones figured out, like, my gosh, like it every month can be a different figuring out, right?
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: We're constantly kind of in this dance.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: I'm in a dance right now with it.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: Why don't you walk our listeners through a little bit of kind of a journey when, gosh, I think I might be paramenopausal.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: Like, what are they a, what does that mean?
- 9:02SPEAKER_02: What are some of the signs?
- 9:04SPEAKER_02: And then what do you suggest and where do you suggest they start?
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: Yes, and this is a big thing: timing.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Timing of HRT is so important.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: And we have to start looking at the signs, or you may realize that you may not have any signs, outward signs, but every single one of us will be being affected by that hormonal loss somewhere inside the body.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Like you can't feel bone going until you break it.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: And so, like things like that, you know, where hormones are super important outside of the uterus.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: They are important for making the neurotransmitters in our brain so that you know, estrogen helps us to make the serotonin and to keep dopamine around longer.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: So a lot of women will find they get depressed because they start losing estrogen.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: And they don't think, oh, this is my hormones necessarily.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And so we have to look at, okay, what age are you at?
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: We typically start seeing perimenopause starting in our late 30s for most women.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: So 38, 39 seems to kind of be these magic numbers where you start to just notice things off usually about your cycle.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: So periods start to get heavier, you start to get more cramping, maybe a little more insomnia in the second half of your cycle, more anxiety, more depression, things like that.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: And so those can start to creep up very slowly where you don't, you can't really put your finger on it because one month you might be okay, and then the next month it's not so fun anymore.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: And we're talking about our socks.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: You kind of justify it.
- 10:48SPEAKER_02: Like, oh, you know, I'm just stressed.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: We always have, at least a lot of us who are type A high-functioning women, are like, I don't have time for this.
- 10:55SPEAKER_02: It must be something else.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: Like, you don't even think about it.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: We see like this is when a little bit of weight gain will happen for a lot of women, like a five-pound weight gain out of nowhere without changing anything.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: And you'll go, oh, wait, wait, what just happened here?
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: And and this is because we stop ovulating as often, right?
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: We start, we're losing our, we're always losing our eggs in our fertile years.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: And then when we're in those late 30s, early 40s, we're getting very the basket's getting very depleted of eggs.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: And so if you don't ovulate on day 14 of your cycle, somewhere in there, you then you will not produce the bulk of your progesterone.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: And so that's the first hormone that starts to go down.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: And we lose about 75% of it come early 40s because you're not ovulating.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: And you can't, and that's something you can't bring back.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: So you can take supplements in the beginning that help to kind of squeeze out the last of those ovaries and help to balance the hormones a little bit.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: But once we stop letting go of those eggs and we're not ovulating, you can't supplement something like you can't bring in some herbal to bring that back.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: That's gone.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: It's just and it's just the only thing left is the HRT.
- 12:18unknown: Yeah.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: And I'm sure that age most women aren't thinking that's an issue.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: You know, I just started cracking over the back of my head as we're talking about progesterone because I'm on this, I've got four girls in my workout group.
- 12:29SPEAKER_02: Well, four, we have a bigger workout group, but four of us are on a text today, and it's like, does anyone have any progesterone?
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: It's out at CVS right now, and I need, you know, we're all on.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: I I got mine.
- 12:38SPEAKER_02: I said, you should switch to this compounding pharmacy.
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: And I'm just laughing, being like, I love this.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: Like, here we are talking about progesterone, and like, God forbid, right?
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: I'm 51.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: That like you run out, that is not an option.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: And now, because of, you know, uh thank goodness we're all talking about HRT more, and it's been, you know, a lot of stuff's been not black box um warnings on it, is it's become more popular.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: And so there's a you know, hard time keeping up.
- 13:03SPEAKER_02: Anyway, keep going, but progesterone is amazing.
- 13:05SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: And I will say that I actually have my own line of over-the-counter progesterone, so you can tell your friends.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Just go to Karen Martell.com.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Hello, we'll link, we'll link all those.
- 13:19SPEAKER_02: And I did tell them, I said, guys, I've got a specialist coming on, so we'll figure that out.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I will 100% link that and I'll let them know.
- 13:25SPEAKER_02: It's awesome.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: It's so funny because all of my ladies, like we we also do prescription HRT, but we they all carry my line of products so that they don't ever run out.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: I yeah, I do it myself.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: I get all my hormones for free here in Canada.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: And I still have my products as my backup, and I use it in combination.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: Like I have my estrogen cream, but I use it with my patch.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: Okay, it's prescribed to me.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: I would love this, it's actually a very good transition to talk about this piece of it.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: So, for instance, I'm on something that not everyone agrees with, but I'm on a pellet, and the pellet worked for me for a long time.
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: And I'm now entering the stage of this pellet might not be exactly what is best for me because as we know with the pellet, guys, it you put it in and over time it goes down, but you know, it's hard to control what's inside of you.
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: And so I'm having symptoms now where I'm spotting a little bit more.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: Sorry, guys, if it's TMI, but spotting a little bit more, and my periods are getting longer, you know, so they're they're not they're not as regular.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: They were really regular when I first went on it.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: I had no issues.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: And now I'm like, okay, I've got to either supplement with some creams or I've got to figure out kind of what my next step is.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: I'm probably halfway through this palette right now.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: And do you have testosterone and estrogen in the palette?
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: I had testosterone and a little bit of just a little bit of estrogen, and then I take my progesterone at night.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: So I would at least separate the estrogen out.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Like if you feel like the testosterone palette is working for you, it's definitely not my favorite, but yeah, if you like it and it's working for you, great, stay on it.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: But separate the estrogen from it because you're 51, you said.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so we know that the estrogen is going to be getting really low.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: And we always want to, going back to that timing thing, is we want to catch it on its way down so that we can mitigate the metabolic storm that happens when we lose estrogen.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: Estrogen is that has the biggest impact on our metabolism out of all the hormones.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: And so when that goes starts to go down, that's when you see the weight gain coming, that's when you get the hot flashes, the nitress, the vaginal dryness, the bone pain, the muscle pain, foggy brain, all of these things start to come down the pipeline because of the loss of estrogen.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: So instead of waiting, so because most women are told to wait because the doctor doesn't want to give them estrogen until they're menopausal, which is an old that's based on old information that estrogen is this big, dangerous, horrible thing.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: Now we know it doesn't cause breast cancer.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: It actually helps to prevent breast cancer in a lot of women.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: But we want to top it up as it's going down so that you don't have to go through all of that stuff.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: Because once you do gain the 15, 20, 30 pounds that you can gain that some women do gain in from the loss of estrogen, that's really hard weight to get off once it's on.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: And then frustrated replace all the estrogen afterwards and think that's going to be the magic bullet to get the weight off.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: And then you quickly realize actually it's not.
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: No, the weight doesn't go away like it came on, the weights come on and it's just wants to stick around and you know even though you're doing everything right.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: And then that's when like the peptides have just been this gift to midlife women because that the menopause weight gain is some of the toughest weight to get off.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: And so combining that GLP1 with the HRT can be amazing.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: But if we can catch you earlier as the estrogen's coming down, you have a very good chance of not hitting that metabolic storm.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: Yes, absolutely.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: I mean, the amount of tears I'm sure you see that I have in my coaching practice of just women, like I I see you, I'm one of you.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: You know, I've been there and I and we'll get you out of this.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, you're not we will, you're not alone.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: I think there's so much fear, shame.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: Um you don't talk about it.
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: I think we're talking more about it with our our um women friends, but not only just the physical piece of like having the tire on or just the if I could get a dollar for and say what's used to work doesn't work, right?
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: We have to train differently now as we get older.
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: You, you know, you're not beating yourself up, you're not doing hit training, there's all the cortisol issues, there's so many things we're dealing with, right?
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: And I think it's easy to just sit and just go, okay, like I I can, I can get I can get out of this.
- 18:06SPEAKER_02: And I don't want to talk to my friends, I don't want to burden my friends, but I'm miserable.
- 18:10SPEAKER_02: And there's so many, you know, the a GLP is one thing that I can't stress enough.
- 18:17SPEAKER_02: I actually just say it.
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: I said, I think every middle-aged man and woman should be in a microdose of a GLP.
- 18:22SPEAKER_02: I say it for insulin reasons, for your cholesterol, for your lipid panel, you know, and I was laughing at not laughing, but I was very proud of you on this podcast that you, a guest that you had on, and you guys are going back and forth, and you took a stance and you did it really beautifully because you know, I always tell people it's okay to change your mind.
- 18:40SPEAKER_02: You know, where GLP started and watching this massive weight loss and scary people walking around and hair and chic coming back in, you know, the your first thing is to be judgmental and what's gonna happen to our population.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: And part of you is like, oh, I kind of want that.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: I I don't know, she's kind of skinny, I want to be skinny.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: Where the microdose came in and it allows people to go on it for different reasons.
- 19:01SPEAKER_02: And I always say the woman who wants to lose five or 10 pounds and doesn't fit into her genes has the same feeling every day as the woman whose genes are tight and wants to lose 50 pounds.
- 19:12SPEAKER_02: So we're not gonna discriminate about what that feeling is when nothing is working, right?
- 19:17SPEAKER_02: When you feel like you want to crawl out of your skin.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: And when there are tools with HRT and there are tools with peptides, when you combine them, it's such a beautiful dance.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: And I think people aren't also talking about how beautifully it affects the brain.
- 19:33SPEAKER_02: When the inflammation leaves the brain because insulin resistance becomes in check, all of a sudden you hear I'm happy again.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: You know, people are coming off of SSRs, you know, people are coming off of Adderall, and like that's not talked about.
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: That's like a dirty secret that all of a sudden someone's like, I've been addicted to Adderall for 25 years, I've been on SSR for 25 years, and I'm now slowly being able to come off because my brain is different.
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: Not only is my midsection different, but my brain's different.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: I mean, who does not want to have a clear brain and a happy brain for the second half of our life?
- 20:06unknown: Right?
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: And we're we are seeing, like on the flip side of that, there's a lot of talk right now about people losing the pleasure in their life.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: And they're not and they're becoming flat from the GLP ones, the mood, right?
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: But what's interesting is they're not seeing that happen in people that actually had a lot of weight to lose, which I think is interesting.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: There's some new research coming out around it, and I haven't actually looked into like the full study yet, but that that's what they're seeing.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: And I thought, oh, well, that's interesting.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: And they think that it's because they're becoming happier people because they're losing the excess weight from them.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: Wait, and because they maybe don't need as much.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 20:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, what you know, it builds a lot of my clients will say, because I'm a obviously my program is a method.
- 20:56SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's the loop away method, it's a method of how you want to live your life.
- 21:00SPEAKER_02: And it's you can't say we HRT is on isolation, peptides are and are not in isolation, but doing the other things, and it's like, you know, really saying you have to eat your weight and protein, and you need to lift heavy and you need to hold yourself accountable because those things are almost actually they're more important while you're on a GLP because a lot of the things you've talked about and I talk about is like you don't want to get metabolically compromised.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: You don't want your hair to fall out, you don't want the other lists of problems.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: And so I talk to a lot of my clients, like it's a responsibility, just like it is.
- 21:31SPEAKER_02: Do not miss your progesterone at night.
- 21:33SPEAKER_02: Do not miss, you know, you want to stay disciplined on being consistent on things.
- 21:37SPEAKER_02: And so not only do you need to be consistent taking your pet sides, but you really need to be consistent with your choices, your lifestyle, and just if you want to be on one and get lucky enough to be on one your whole life, you need to respect it and understand the role it plays in your body and with your mind.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: Yes, I love that.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And I think there just needs to be more practitioners like you and I.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: To be honest, because 90% of the GLP1 programs are these online, you know, buy it and then you're left to your own devices.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: They titrate you up every single month.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: It's like more, more, more, more.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: And so, yeah, you're gonna run into problems and you're gonna have that feeling of flatness because you're on a mil, you know, 10 milligrams of churz up a tie.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Well, it's much.
- 22:24SPEAKER_02: And so now you're like, I'm freaked out it doesn't work.
- 22:26SPEAKER_02: And then also it's expensive.
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: That's why I started loop health was to bring people in who aren't getting the support they need.
- 22:33SPEAKER_02: Because I mean, I feel like it's a funnel.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: The amount of women that come to me with my GLP doesn't work, I'm on the max dose.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: And I mean, not to be mean, but I look at them and I'm like, you are on 12 milligrams.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: I'm sorry, you look inflamed, you don't look great, I'm sure you're exhausted, you're scared to death because now you have something that, God forbid, you get off of.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: It's it is an issue.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: I mean, it for and it I get angry with the doctors, and it's irresponsible, and I think it needs attention and they don't have the time, which is not their fault, but yeah.
- 23:09SPEAKER_02: I mean, I could get on a soapbox about it.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Oh, same.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: But I've been I've had my peptide group for three years now, and we have rarely ever had, I think we've had like less than five people that have had to go above probably 6.57 milligrams tops on trazepatite.
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Most of our clients and patients never have to go past five milligrams.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 23:42SPEAKER_00: Agreed.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Agreed.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: I actually use a lot of peptides.
- 23:46SPEAKER_02: That's how you're doing it.
- 23:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I stack a lot of peptides to really help the petti work better.
- 23:51SPEAKER_02: And I, you know, I look at it at a year with quarters, and like because I work with research peptides and I work with telehealth, I get to kind of play in two really fun worlds.
- 24:01SPEAKER_02: But, you know, once we get the mitochondria healed and really working, they find everything else works really well.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: And so I will go a completely different route before I start upping anyone.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: Pretty much, I think 3.5 milligrams is where I start to go, let's bring in some other stuff.
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: Let's let's get some other things in, let's look back on your hormones, let's introduce some other peptides, and let's be honest about our lifestyle and kind of see where we are.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: And it's not a one-size-fits-all, and some people do need a lot more.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: One of the things that's interesting, and then I want to go back into HRT because I've got a bunch of questions for you.
- 24:38SPEAKER_02: Is I feel like women are so afraid to be hungry.
- 24:42SPEAKER_02: And my hunger is coming back.
- 24:44SPEAKER_02: And so we sit back and I said, or they don't like to go on Reddit true chide because you're hungry.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: And I said, I love Reddit because I'm hungry.
- 24:52SPEAKER_02: You know, I put a pound of muscle on.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm a I'm a I die in the vine with DEXA scans.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: I do them four times a year.
- 24:59SPEAKER_02: And I just put on muscle, a pound of muscle, and I'm really proud of it.
- 25:03SPEAKER_02: But I say, you know, hunger is a sign and that we need to listen to our bodies for a number of reasons, right?
- 25:09SPEAKER_02: Especially like if you are vain, keep your hair.
- 25:12SPEAKER_02: If you're hungry, you need to eat.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: But for all these other reasons, like, I think we also become a culture where you're afraid to be hungry.
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: And that's where, you know, you go back to a lifestyle is like, okay, don't be afraid to be hungry.
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: When you're hungry, do you know what to eat?
- 25:27SPEAKER_02: And I think the lovely thing about both HRT and peptides, I think, is it also helps you make great choices.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: Cravings are a little bit different.
- 25:36SPEAKER_02: You're understanding different times of your month where you when you consciously go, I'm hungry, I need to eat something that is going to support my body.
- 25:43SPEAKER_02: I don't need to eat junk or cardboard.
- 25:46SPEAKER_02: It just and for me, it just shifts and changes that you're eating for nutrition.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: You're not just eating to eat because you don't have that luxury if you're on a GLP.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: You need to eat things that are actually going to be really good for you.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: And I can't tell you how many times I've had to say to women in our group, you want your hunger to come back.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 26:07SPEAKER_00: And they're like, what?
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: Because they think that that's the only mechanism of action, is that they're just not eating enough.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: And so I have to explain to them, GLP1s work on so many different systems in the body.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: It's not just that it's suppressing hunger.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: And you want to get your hunger back because we see it in all the women that have lost their weight, they go, they decrease their dose to a very small microdose, maintenance dose, and their calories go back up to normal.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: So they're going to be eating 2,000 calories, 2,500 calories a day, depending on how much they work out.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: And they don't gain the weight back if they stay on the microdose.
- 26:46SPEAKER_02: You know, and it's interesting, even I find people go on and off the microdose right now very easily.
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: You know, they'll go on vacation and they realize they're metabolically sound because they're doing all the other things.
- 26:57SPEAKER_02: And I I know I really believe you have the same clientele.
- 27:01SPEAKER_02: So you almost you don't, you, you can't, there's a time in your life where you stop trusting your body.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: The time when all of a sudden, when you're getting on these hormones, because you're like what used to work doesn't work.
- 27:10SPEAKER_02: So there's a distrust.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: So I think when you all of a sudden have a body composition that you're so excited about, you feel so good, there's a distrust.
- 27:18SPEAKER_02: Is this gonna get taken away from me?
- 27:19SPEAKER_02: Am I gonna all of a sudden totally go one wake up one day and is it too good to be true?
- 27:24SPEAKER_02: And I want to be like, yeah, no, if you're if you're doing this right, I have the fear.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: I have the fear.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: I'm always like, what if it just suddenly stops working?
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, or it's gonna get taken away from me or something.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: And I do, I have that freak out because it's in great, it's a real gift.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: It's like been a miracle for me.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: I struggled with weight my entire life, and it was always like watching every single thing that I put in my mouth, it was consuming my thoughts all the time.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Even when I was like healthy nutritionist, maintaining the same weight for 10 years, I still had to work so hard at that.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: So to have this GLP one in my system has just been the most amazing experience ever.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: All the brain freedom.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: And so I don't want to go back to that.
- 28:12SPEAKER_02: All the brain freedom.
- 28:13SPEAKER_02: All the brain space.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: I think that's the one piece too that more women are talking about, right?
- 28:18SPEAKER_02: Is just like how you'd ruminoid on it when you'd be scared of a vacation.
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: I had some clients who are like, I only go on a vacation for three days because then, because then I'm out of control.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: And and now saying, well, have a freedom to like realize that I can trust my body again.
- 28:32SPEAKER_02: I've gotten, I've been given the best gift I could possibly give myself.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: And that's just like keeping your insulin resistance under control, right?
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: Quieting the food noise.
- 28:41SPEAKER_02: Like, wow, if I mean, I hate to say it, and this is actually I'm gonna say it.
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: It's why Big Pharma's having such a field day with it because quieting the food food noise to me is like no different than someone getting an antidepressant or an SSR or something, except we get it naturally from a peptide.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: But that brain piece of it, like not enough people talk about it.
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: And I think let's tie it back to HRT and just women getting out of that fog and the depression and how you're seeing your community with peptides and HRT just navigate those two because you really do need somebody who knows a lot about hormones to get you through the stage that I'm in.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, yes, it is, and it's very individual.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: You know, people hate when I say this because people just want this like one-step protocol of one size fits all HRT.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: And it's just for some women, it is.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: It's like, here's your hormones, they go away, they feel freaking amazing, all their symptoms go away, and that's it.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: You they carry on.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: But majority of women, it's a lot of trial and error.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: A lot of women don't absorb certain types of HRT.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: And then it's like, what peptides can you bring in to help support what you need support with, not what your neighbor is using.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: Because a lot of women are doing that too.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: They're like, I get those questions all the time.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Hey, my neighbor's on GHKCU and TB500.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: So do you think that's what I should do too?
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: It's like, no, that's not what I think you should do.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: And by the way, why are they on that?
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: They probably don't even know why they're on those either.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: They don't.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: They don't.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: They just because somebody else told them to be on it or because they're on it.
- 30:21SPEAKER_00: And so we really want to individualize the two together.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: And we really want to make sure that we're optimizing our hormones before we go on a GLP because it's the number one reason why we see women not losing weight or plateauing really quickly on a GLP one is because their hormones aren't optimized.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: They're the top two reasons.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: Number one reason is an underactive thyroid, and number two is their hormones are not optimized.
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Those are the two top reasons we see women plateauing or not losing weight on the GLP.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: Yep, absolutely.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: You know what's interesting for me is I've been on, I've been on thyroid medicine for 20 plus years, ever since I kind of had my kids.
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: Um, and my mom is and my sister is, and I've been able to go since being on peptides and I mean I've been on peptides now for two plus years and do a lot on my mitochondria and do a lot of stuff that's not sexy, but I've taken my thyroid medicine way down because of it.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: When every time I test, it's like, oh wow, this is nice, like this is great.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, I'm sure you get the question with HRT and peptides.
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: Like, do I have to stay on this the rest of my life?
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: And I look at them and say, oh my God, what a gift if you can, you know.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: But look at your thyroid medicine, like you have to oftentimes, right?
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: Or you're on a, you know, a statin, or think of all the medications that you get on, just like because your doctor's like, oh, time in your life, get on a statin.
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: You're on that the rest of your life.
- 31:43SPEAKER_02: You don't ask your doctor really, am I on this the rest of their life?
- 31:46SPEAKER_02: But the amount of people ask me, do I have to stay on these the rest of my life?
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: It's like, gosh, it's like you want their benefits.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: Yes, you do.
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: I'll never get on peptides.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: It doesn't fix anything, it doesn't bring the hormones back.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: You are replacing.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: And so everybody has to keep that in mind.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm gonna take my hormones with me to my grave.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: It's like I will never come off of them.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: I don't want to lose my bone.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: I don't want to lose the collagen.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: I don't want to lose like all the things that come with those hormones.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: Sorry, but I don't want to lose them.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: I want to age as best I can.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: You're guessing I'm not gonna say her name that you you guys are you you're going back and forth, and she's talking about, you know, bone density and all these issues and sarcopenia.
- 32:28SPEAKER_02: And I'm laughing because I'm like, if you just get a DEXA scan, in fact, my but bone density right now, since being on pet sites, is better than it was when I started.
- 32:38SPEAKER_02: I have more muscle on my body.
- 32:40SPEAKER_02: It's it can also do the opposite.
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: So done the right way with the right, it changes your mindset of how you look at things.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: And then when you actually have a matrix to measure it and you're on top of it, just like your hormones, like you're doing your blood work, it's a dance.
- 32:55SPEAKER_02: And if you're in this beautiful dance, it works amazing.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: And it's yes, can you get yourself in trouble?
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: It's no different.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: We talked about this, or you guys talked about this, than you know, someone becoming anorexic or somebody fasting too much, or I mean, there's so many different ways that you can go down a negative health pattern to blame a GLP is irresponsible, to be honest.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: I'm like that that's another excuse of why you don't like it because you're ignorant and you don't understand how to use it as a proper tool.
- 33:26SPEAKER_02: Just like, you know, at one point hormones were thought that way.
- 33:30SPEAKER_02: You know, I think a lot of our generation, I don't know if your mom was like this, my mom white-knuckled it.
- 33:35SPEAKER_02: You know, she was told it was gonna give her cancer.
- 33:38SPEAKER_02: So she white knuckled it, and she, you know, when I talked to her about it, and she's like, you know, maybe it could have been better.
- 33:44SPEAKER_02: And I think to myself, oh, I remember when she was a little crazy, no offense, mom.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: But and I remember friends' moms being like, what is happening, right?
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: In marriages can be saved.
- 33:54SPEAKER_02: And so now we're talking about it, right?
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: We're now we're like supporting women.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: We're now having insurance pay for some things, you know, in certain areas.
- 34:01SPEAKER_02: What would you say to a woman who now is like, okay, I miss the boat, I've gone through menopause, I'm 65.
- 34:10SPEAKER_02: Can she go on any hormones or is the the ship sailed for her?
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: No, no.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: It just has to be done differently because they've been without hormones for so long, the way the hormone receptors are gonna be acting, but because they haven't had hormones, you have to be really careful.
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: And it's all about like you don't ever want to take oral estrogen, especially if you're 10 years post-menopause, because that's going to increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: So, transdermal estrogen, though, is safe to take.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: And you just want to go extremely low and slow for a while, but you can put it back in.
- 34:50SPEAKER_00: My mom was one of those, like she was the same thing where she was told never to take estrogen.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: She was on progesterone, she's she had had a hysterectomy in her early 40s, so she had been post-menopausal for 20 years, and she started, you know, having her dad died of Alzheimer's, and she was starting to have brain fog and not remembering things, and she it was freaking her out.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: So it was like, start estrogen.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: And so we put her on a really low dose.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: And within months, she was like, I just lost half my belly weight, my brain's back online.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: I feel so much better.
- 35:26SPEAKER_00: I'm never going off of this.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: I'm like, great, awesome.
- 35:29SPEAKER_00: And so we have a lot of people in their 60s in our in our practice.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: I think that's important to talk about because I do think it's confusing.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: And Maya's B is a specialist um in hormones.
- 35:39SPEAKER_02: And she did say though, she's like, all of a sudden, when like the black box warning was in America was lifted, and everyone was like, Oh, she goes, My office was flooded with 70-year-olds, you know, trying to figure out what they can use.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: Can I do it?
- 35:54SPEAKER_02: That's literally, she's like, and then I was like, Oh my gosh, it's interesting.
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: Like, oh, I had to switch compounding pharmacies because all of a sudden there was no progesterone and like there's a shortage.
- 36:02SPEAKER_02: And I feel like what's nice is peptides and HRT are having a moment, they have the same publicist and they work so beautifully together.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: So us having this conversation means a lot to me because I am not a specialist in hormones.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: I I work with one, but I'm not one.
- 36:19SPEAKER_02: And so having someone like you to talk through this and also I love that you put peptides in.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: It's the same reason why my first conversation is are you on HRT?
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: I know, where are you in this hormone journey?
- 36:33SPEAKER_02: And I'll be honest.
- 36:34SPEAKER_02: I say to them, you know, if they're not, I said, I'd like for us to get some blood work done.
- 36:39SPEAKER_02: I'd like for you to see my specialist to look at it.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: I'll start you on a couple of these peptides, but I want to manage your expectations.
- 36:46SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be a slow roll until we can get this in line, or you can wait.
- 36:50SPEAKER_02: But I'm very, very open and honest of like the power of a HRT and the power of a peptide.
- 36:57SPEAKER_02: Very, very different.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: Yes, very different, but it's super exciting, and that's how we need to start looking at it, which is we can age so differently now because we have two of the most powerful tools we've ever had, which is bioidentical, HRT, and peptides, and the combination of the two, like, I'm sorry, but 50-year-olds did not look like you and I a hundred years ago, not even a hundred years ago.
- 37:33SPEAKER_02: I think the golden girls were like between 40 and 45, the golden girls, and you're like, oh my gosh, like what is you know, what is what is going on?
- 37:42SPEAKER_02: It's it is fun, and I think what's really nice too is there's so much wisdom that comes with being older, right?
- 37:51SPEAKER_02: And confidence, not caring what people think about you and curating a life.
- 37:57SPEAKER_02: There's being like the list can go on and on of things I love about being a 50-year-old woman.
- 38:02SPEAKER_02: And now when you have the opportunity to have tools and you know, practitioners like yourself and myself that can help you not only feel your best, but also look really great.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: Like my my daughters go, I've got an 18-year-old and 16-year-old.
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: And I don't know if you've got kids, but like they're they're wonderful when they want to compliment you.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: And then, like, God forbid you're having a day when your butt is just saggy.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: They're the first to tell you, like, oh my gosh, mom.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: But you know, the other day my mom said my daughter said, You're aging backwards.
- 38:34SPEAKER_02: You look so much better now than you did when you like had me.
- 38:39SPEAKER_02: And I kind of I step back and I said, I'm such a different woman than I was then.
- 38:46SPEAKER_02: And I didn't know what I know now.
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: And I think that's the difference of the two.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: I know how to take care of myself.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: You know, my oxygen mask is on and ready.
- 38:56SPEAKER_02: I understand, I research, like I've always been a person who I had long-term COVID.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: I went to Guadalajara to get stem cells.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: Like, I've always been a wack-a-doodle that like thinks out of the box.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: And I've always been a person that's, I'm like, oh, I want to get ahead of this.
- 39:10SPEAKER_02: I don't want to be the person who's all dried up, night sweats, all the issues.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: I said, absolutely not.
- 39:16SPEAKER_02: That sounds horrible.
- 39:18SPEAKER_02: And then also on the flip side, I don't want to wake up one day and look in the mirror and say, why do I have all these fine lines and wrinkles when Mary Jo has been taking care of her skin from the time she was 30?
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: So I care about those things.
- 39:30SPEAKER_02: And we have a luxury right now to be in a world where we have a lot of tools.
- 39:35SPEAKER_00: Oh my God.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: It's, I think it's great.
- 39:38SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of women with the mindset that suffering is like gonna get them some sort of badge of honor.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: Like, if I can get through peri-menopause, menopause without HRT, then like I'm so such a great person for doing that.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: And I hear this a lot.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: This is like what's out there on social media, all the negative comments are from thousands and thousands of women saying stuff like that.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: Like oh, I'm not gonna use HRT.
- 40:08SPEAKER_00: And it's like, well, okay, well, that's your choice.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna 100% respect that if you don't want to.
- 40:13SPEAKER_00: But know that if you want to age really well without any symptoms of hormonal loss, preserve your skin, your hair, your libido, your bones, your brain, your muscle, your marriage.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: These are the best tools that are out there for that.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: And you can, you can start aging in reverse.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: I too feel like that.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: Like if you looked at a picture of me at 42 and now I'm 50, I looked like I was 10 years older back then.
- 40:43SPEAKER_02: Well, and I'll kind of go back way better now.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: I go back to the people who like, you know, don't like Botox, right?
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: To to each their own.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: I will never judge you for not liking Botox, but please do not judge me.
- 40:56SPEAKER_02: Don't judge me because I'm gonna do it.
- 40:58SPEAKER_02: Facelift one day deciding.
- 41:00SPEAKER_02: It is all I will tell you all the things.
- 41:02SPEAKER_02: I talk a lot, if you listen to my podcast, I talk a lot about different plastic surgery things.
- 41:06SPEAKER_02: But my thing is like to each their own.
- 41:07SPEAKER_02: Like, I just why are we judging each other?
- 41:09SPEAKER_02: Like, if someone wants to age gracefully and have gray hairs and not dye their hair and not do Botox and not do other things, amazing.
- 41:16SPEAKER_02: But if someone wants to, do not shit on them, excuse my language, because they're them, are they making you feel inferior?
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: Like, are there why do their decisions bother you?
- 41:25SPEAKER_02: I get that's where I like why are there, unless you want to know, then go ask them who their surgeon is.
- 41:32SPEAKER_02: Go ask them what HRT they're on and what peptides they're on.
- 41:35SPEAKER_02: I think that's the place where women, instead of being supportive, are being ignorant and judgmental because secretly deep down inside, they want to look and feel like the woman who entered the room and the room levitated.
- 41:50SPEAKER_02: That energy of a confident woman goes real deep.
- 41:54SPEAKER_02: And I think it's what everyone wants.
- 41:56SPEAKER_02: And it starts, I think the foundation starts off with their hormones and how do they want to age?
- 42:01SPEAKER_02: And they need to ask themselves that question to look in the mirror.
- 42:04SPEAKER_02: It's not cheap, but we got to figure out where our priorities are, our value systems are.
- 42:09SPEAKER_02: Do you want to get a purse?
- 42:10SPEAKER_02: Do you want to fly first class or do you want to get some HRT once a quarter?
- 42:14SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 42:15unknown: Yeah.
- 42:15SPEAKER_02: I know my answer.
- 42:17SPEAKER_02: I know my answer.
- 42:19SPEAKER_02: Like, I can cut a lot of things out before I cut my HRT out.
- 42:23SPEAKER_02: Like, no, that's not happening.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: Or my PAP's.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: And it's just, I think we need to all of those people, like, great, make that decision.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: If HRT is not for you, like you say, like, great, no problem.
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: I will I help women all the time, not all the time, but we do get the odd woman that doesn't want to do HRT but wants to know what she can do that can help.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: And so we'll help those people, no problem.
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: But always look at the research.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: You know, look and see what the research tell us about hormonal loss and how these hormones interact on all systems in the body.
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: Because we can't just think that they're in this little silo of the uterus, and without hormones, like, okay, yeah, we might have some hot flashes or whatever, but let's just get past that.
- 43:08SPEAKER_00: This is natural, so I don't want to take HRT.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: But look at the evidence and look at the research and how powerful these signaling molecules actually are.
- 43:18SPEAKER_00: And there's some, you know, unfortunately, we're lacking in research, of course, right?
- 43:22SPEAKER_00: For women, but there are some things coming out.
- 43:25SPEAKER_00: Like there's been a really good study that was done on biological aging in women.
- 43:32SPEAKER_00: And it was on 2,000 women, and they followed them through their perimenopausal years and menopausal years.
- 43:40SPEAKER_00: And basically what they found was the women that we started to age when we started losing the hormones in perimenopause.
- 43:50SPEAKER_00: And when they were doing the testing on women, so they're testing biological age, which is how old are you on the inside?
- 43:57SPEAKER_00: There's chronological age, is your how many years.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Have you been here on Earth?
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: Biological is how much are you aging on the inside?
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: What they found was that women, if they weren't on HRT, they would all across the board would age about nine years on average, some up to 20 years in perimenopause with the loss of estrogen.
- 44:26SPEAKER_00: So estrogen starts to go down, and the average was a nine year across the board.
- 44:33SPEAKER_00: Some women up to 20 years would they would age on the inside.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: If the woman was started on HRT, they did not see the rapid aging.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: This is amazing.
- 44:49SPEAKER_02: I you know, and it's it's the same thing like like breeds like breeze like in the sense of like think of all the symptoms of going through perimenopause and menopause.
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: Just that alone, just the symptoms.
- 45:03SPEAKER_02: I don't want to live with those.
- 45:04SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't want to live a long life.
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: I'm miserable.
- 45:07SPEAKER_02: Like you look in the mirror, like you don't feel good, you're all dried up.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: I mean, you think of all you're not having sex, you know, you don't feel good about yourself.
- 45:14SPEAKER_02: Like those, I don't know to me, but I mean, teach their own.
- 45:20SPEAKER_02: I just sometimes I'm when you do hear that.
- 45:22SPEAKER_00: And some women, they genetically they don't use the hormone, they age beautifully, they look great, they don't feel anything, their body's great.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: Outliner, outlier.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: Those are unicorns.
- 45:34SPEAKER_00: They really are.
- 45:36SPEAKER_02: They do exist.
- 45:37SPEAKER_02: They do.
- 45:38SPEAKER_02: What I like about you, and I think you're similar to me in this way, is that I don't pretend I have it all figured out, A.
- 45:44SPEAKER_02: And, but I do really practice what I preach.
- 45:48SPEAKER_02: And I'm not an anomaly.
- 45:49SPEAKER_02: You know, I, yes, do I lift heavy weights?
- 45:51SPEAKER_02: Do I live in the gym?
- 45:52SPEAKER_02: No.
- 45:52SPEAKER_02: Do I love to travel?
- 45:54SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 45:54SPEAKER_02: Do I work my butt off?
- 45:56SPEAKER_02: I don't have the luxury of working out for two hours a day.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: You know, I don't have the luxury of eating, meal prepping my food and eating the same dish, you know, every day.
- 46:06SPEAKER_02: Like my life is a luck, but you can have it all, especially when you have these tools in your toolbox and you have a support system.
- 46:14SPEAKER_02: I love that you have a group of women who are on peptides, who are on GLPs.
- 46:19SPEAKER_02: Like that is what I have in my community as well, too, is my groups are supporting each other.
- 46:24SPEAKER_02: You know, you're in there and you're not alone, and it can be scary.
- 46:28SPEAKER_02: Even my last month of my my journey of my hormones, you know, I'm reaching out to friends.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: I'm like, something is not right.
- 46:35SPEAKER_02: Something is going on.
- 46:37SPEAKER_02: This month, I I, you know, I there's a shift.
- 46:40SPEAKER_02: And it's okay, you know, be curious, be open.
- 46:44SPEAKER_02: Okay, what is this gonna look like?
- 46:45SPEAKER_02: What do I need to get tested?
- 46:47SPEAKER_02: What do I need to do now so I can feel my best?
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 46:53SPEAKER_00: And lifestyle, we have to put like everyone knows now that yeah, the lifestyle has to be a piece of all of that.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: Like the hormones aren't the only answer.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: And I never want to pretend that they are, nor are GLP or any peptide.
- 47:09SPEAKER_00: They're not miracle.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: You have to still have all those foundational pieces in place, and that's where our communities come in, where we can make sure that women or try to make sure that these women are not just injecting and rubbing their creams on, that they're exercising, that they're lifting heavy things, they're prioritizing protein, they're watching their stress, like all of this stuff has to be part of your puzzle and part of your menopausal toolbox.
- 47:37SPEAKER_00: And you build that toolbox.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: And so it applies to you and you only.
- 47:43SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 47:43SPEAKER_02: And it's like you said, it's different for everybody.
- 47:46SPEAKER_02: I feel like one of the things that I'm starting to get over is just the everyone, the biohacking to an extreme and 12-step programs and skincare.
- 47:54SPEAKER_02: Like, it's gotten to this extreme where I do think it's gotten a little unhealthy.
- 48:00SPEAKER_02: I see my 18-year-old freaking out when she doesn't have a colostrum.
- 48:03SPEAKER_02: She's 18, she does not need colostrum.
- 48:06SPEAKER_02: But the culture that they're growing up in is that, you know, you need the supplements and you need this, and you we need all these things.
- 48:11SPEAKER_02: And yes, are there tools that work?
- 48:13SPEAKER_02: We just discussed a bunch.
- 48:15SPEAKER_02: But then I just think is pick a small handful, be consistent, and then just live your life.
- 48:21SPEAKER_02: Let's stop freaking out about the littlest, you know, tweak.
- 48:25SPEAKER_02: And and also we know this if you look under the hood long often enough, you are going to find things.
- 48:30SPEAKER_02: So it's a delicate balance of like when do you take your blood work?
- 48:33SPEAKER_02: What are you looking for?
- 48:34SPEAKER_02: Are you willing to if you see something, deal with it or not?
- 48:40SPEAKER_02: Do you want to do a pornovo scan?
- 48:42SPEAKER_02: Knowledge is power, but I think we need to stop making it such an extreme.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: I do too.
- 48:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because I think that just is starting to stress women out.
- 48:51SPEAKER_00: So it's actually being counterproductive.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: Because they're free.
- 48:55SPEAKER_00: And I see women like that in my practice where, you know, I just had a woman the other day where she was freaking out about her A1C moving up 0.2 markers, like freaking out.
- 49:07SPEAKER_00: Well, her ins fasting insulin was three.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: Like she was great, she's doing awesome.
- 49:12SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, look, I think it's the stress that you're putting on yourself over this that's causing this, you know, blood sugar dysregulation that you're seeing.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: Like, don't quit stressing about it.
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: Life's too short.
- 49:27SPEAKER_02: What's interesting, I've always I was an early adapter of the Aura Ring, and then I let it go, and I just got one again, which my community doesn't even know because I bash on it a lot.
- 49:36SPEAKER_02: But I got it because our app, you can tie your wearables into your app and track things.
- 49:40SPEAKER_02: And so I thought, well, maybe I'll get back.
- 49:42SPEAKER_02: So it's been interesting.
- 49:43SPEAKER_02: I've had it for five days now.
- 49:45SPEAKER_02: And the thing I didn't like about the aura ring and why I got rid of it is that let's say I had a good night's sleep, or my mind I did, and then my ring tells me I didn't.
- 49:54SPEAKER_02: And then I'm like, well, my have a crappy day.
- 49:56SPEAKER_02: And but what I'm liking about it right now is the opposite.
- 50:01SPEAKER_02: I actually had a terrible night's sleep one night, one of the first nights I had the ring, and I'm like, this is gonna be horrible.
- 50:06SPEAKER_02: And then I looked at it and I thought, it was like, you have a readiness score of, I don't know what it was, but it was like, it was, it did said nothing except you're gonna have a great day.
- 50:14SPEAKER_02: Well, guess what?
- 50:15SPEAKER_02: I had a great day where I would have been on the flip side, been like, I didn't sleep at night.
- 50:19SPEAKER_02: But uh the other day, I my ready, I had a day where I had traveled, I did a lot of walking, and so my readiness score was really low.
- 50:27SPEAKER_02: And I was gonna go and do I would do my cardio once a week.
- 50:30SPEAKER_02: I was gonna do my cardio that day, and I listened to the ring.
- 50:33SPEAKER_02: And I said, Well, I don't think I'm ready for the cardio and I went on a walk.
- 50:38SPEAKER_02: So I guess to my point is just like, how do you also listen to our bodies?
- 50:42SPEAKER_02: You know, how do we stop the hamster wheel sometimes and say, more is it more?
- 50:47SPEAKER_02: If I'm feeling off for my hormones or whatever, maybe I should be a little more nurturing to myself.
- 50:53SPEAKER_00: If I have a bad night's sleep, I don't look at my, I have an ultrahuman ring and an eight sleep mattress pad.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: So both of them track my sleep.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: I won't look at them till I go to bed that night.
- 51:06SPEAKER_00: Smart.
- 51:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:08SPEAKER_00: My friend told me that.
- 51:09SPEAKER_00: She was like, just don't look at it.
- 51:11SPEAKER_00: I was like, yeah, duh.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I didn't even know.
- 51:14SPEAKER_02: And I think make sure you work with your clients with the scale.
- 51:17SPEAKER_02: I say the same thing with the scale, especially when you're recomping your body on a GLP.
- 51:21SPEAKER_02: And when I say that, it means yes, you're losing some weight, but you're also putting on muscle and things are moving and changing, and that can change someone's whole entire day.
- 51:30SPEAKER_02: And that weight, that that number on the scale is telling you nothing.
- 51:33SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's really telling you nothing.
- 51:35SPEAKER_02: It's it's not even a metric that I think you should be looking at in midlife.
- 51:40SPEAKER_02: I think your clothes can tell you enough, get a DEXA scan once a quarter and just live your life.
- 51:46SPEAKER_02: It's, I think some of these measurements, especially as women, we have water weight and you're traveling and you're stressed, it's just like it's it can change your mindset so quickly.
- 51:57SPEAKER_02: And it's something that I can't stress enough.
- 52:01SPEAKER_02: It's just sometimes we need to just sit down, take a deep breath, and go, okay, everything does not need to be that extreme.
- 52:07SPEAKER_02: Including our hormones, right?
- 52:09SPEAKER_02: A lot of times I'm like, it's not, we're gonna figure this out.
- 52:12SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be a puzzle.
- 52:13SPEAKER_02: We're gonna figure this out and we're gonna keep going.
- 52:16SPEAKER_02: You're not behind.
- 52:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
- 52:19SPEAKER_02: No.
- 52:20unknown: Yeah.
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: And the beauty of hormones, I always tell, because women will freak out and be like, what should I do?
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: Should I raise the estrogen?
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: Should I lower the estrogen?
- 52:30SPEAKER_00: What should I do with my progesterone?
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: Should I cycle it?
- 52:31SPEAKER_00: Should I not cycle it?
- 52:32SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, look, hormones are fast acting, they're in and out of your system within like six hours.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: So tweak something, go for it.
- 52:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, raise the estrogen.
- 52:43SPEAKER_00: It's not gonna hurt you.
- 52:45SPEAKER_02: And now I'm estrogen with this for how many years of our lives.
- 52:50SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 52:50SPEAKER_02: So do you work, because you're out of Canada, so do you work with clients?
- 52:53SPEAKER_02: This is great for my audience in the states.
- 52:56SPEAKER_00: Yes, we've it's moment, my my business is in the states, so we can prescribe in 50 states and British Columbia in Canada.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, which is great.
- 53:05SPEAKER_00: Because I think some do our products are only available in the states because they're not legal to sell in Canada.
- 53:10SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 53:11SPEAKER_02: You Canadians, it's interesting.
- 53:13SPEAKER_02: I've got two coaches that work with me from Canada that sit there.
- 53:16SPEAKER_02: One's a GLP specialist, and one's just our overall coach, and they are having the hardest time getting peptides to Canada.
- 53:23SPEAKER_02: And, you know, I think sometimes I think it's really strict here.
- 53:26SPEAKER_02: It sounds like you guys have it way harder.
- 53:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's terrible.
- 53:30SPEAKER_00: Absolutely terrible.
- 53:31SPEAKER_00: We have research sites that we trust and use in Canada.
- 53:35SPEAKER_00: Our nurse practitioner, she can she'll prescribe the GLP ones, like, but they're more expensive than research peptides, of course, right?
- 53:43SPEAKER_00: So it's it's hard.
- 53:45SPEAKER_00: You know, our GLPs are depends why my business is in the States.
- 53:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 53:49SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.
- 53:50SPEAKER_02: Our our telehealth, we're seeing our GLPs are coming down, which is great.
- 53:54SPEAKER_02: You know, I am, you know, somebody wants a prescription and wants it compounded.
- 53:59SPEAKER_02: It and it's and there's pros and cons, right?
- 54:01SPEAKER_02: I like research because you can play with the dosage much easier.
- 54:04SPEAKER_02: You can reconstitute it.
- 54:06SPEAKER_02: You can, if you're a busy person and you're traveling, and all of us, you know, for us in America, so many of the good peptides were taken off category, you know, compounding pharmacies and they were put into a category two.
- 54:16SPEAKER_02: And so I'm sure you followed that.
- 54:17SPEAKER_02: Like we're just dealing with this like gray area now.
- 54:21SPEAKER_02: And um, you know, with it, I think the scary part is if the administration doesn't get on board, there is going to be a black market.
- 54:28SPEAKER_02: And I see it in my business, it actually changed a lot.
- 54:31SPEAKER_02: My peptides are more expensive than if you go online and you go to a place that's clearly getting them directly from China, which I'm not gonna say it's good or bad, that's their decision, but it's so easy to skip steps.
- 54:43SPEAKER_02: And so I know with my company how much it costs to make sure that your peptide is tested and is correct and it is what it says it is.
- 54:50SPEAKER_02: And so you have to add that piece.
- 54:53SPEAKER_02: And then we have our education and our tech and all the other stuff, but I I'm fighting it more and more.
- 54:58SPEAKER_02: Oh, so and so has it less expensive.
- 55:01SPEAKER_02: And I'm saying, okay, well, make sure you know, and I'll say more times than not, they come back to us and that it didn't work.
- 55:07SPEAKER_02: Well, it didn't work because it wasn't pure, it wasn't reconstituted the way that they said it was.
- 55:12SPEAKER_00: So I understand like my mind how many people are willing to just go with the cheapest peptide research site.
- 55:19SPEAKER_02: And there's some like there's one right now that we are like rejecting that.
- 55:23SPEAKER_02: Yes, that I'm I'm looking at their prices and I'm like, you guys, it's like, would you go somewhere for Botox or hormones that is really, really cheap?
- 55:31SPEAKER_02: There's a reason why.
- 55:33SPEAKER_02: And so we're working with our membership to kind of like the restoration hardware.
- 55:37SPEAKER_02: I don't know if you if you're familiar with the restoration hardware membership, but if you're a member, your peptides are highly discounted.
- 55:42SPEAKER_02: So that's kind of what we're doing is in this community, trying to get them at a price that's somewhat competitive.
- 55:48SPEAKER_02: We're never gonna be what you can do with people who are just getting directly from China.
- 55:52SPEAKER_02: We just never will be, but that's because of our testing and what we do.
- 55:56SPEAKER_02: But America's gotten all over the board, and there's some scary stories out there.
- 56:01SPEAKER_02: And I think the last piece, and Caesar said that I we he gave me the minute warning, and I have some hot seat questions you get at the end, which is really fun.
- 56:08SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 56:08SPEAKER_02: And I know you'll do great at those because you're my kind of girl.
- 56:11SPEAKER_02: But you know, what's happening is people are coming on these protocols that are just outlandish.
- 56:16SPEAKER_02: And not only in high GLP, that's an easy one, but they're coming on these protocols from all these other peptides.
- 56:23SPEAKER_02: They haven't cycled them for nine months, they haven't done their blood work, they've been listening to Joe Schmoe on TikTok, you know, saying that you know, MOTC is the best thing ever, not understanding what a powerful molecular peptide MOT-C is.
- 56:36SPEAKER_02: And if it's not done the right way, you are gonna be sick.
- 56:39SPEAKER_02: You're not gonna feel good.
- 56:40SPEAKER_02: So that's the part right now, at least in my side of the industry, and I'm sure you see with HRT, it's just there's so much noise.
- 56:47SPEAKER_02: And I just kind of laugh sometimes.
- 56:50SPEAKER_02: I get shut off, so I don't really have to listen to all the noise.
- 56:52SPEAKER_02: But now I'm back on and you're going like, oh my gosh, it's it's the Wild West, but it's fun.
- 56:57SPEAKER_02: We're lucky that we're in industries that are having a moment.
- 57:00SPEAKER_02: I would love, I'm actually gonna pick your brain and maybe work with you a little bit on some of my hormone stuff.
- 57:05SPEAKER_02: And then I had heard on your podcast that you have an estrogen cream for your face.
- 57:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:10SPEAKER_02: Can you just I'm gonna let you plug this?
- 57:12SPEAKER_02: It's the hardest seller.
- 57:13SPEAKER_02: I want you to plug.
- 57:15SPEAKER_02: So I have a G HKCU serum, and I will send to you that's amazing.
- 57:19SPEAKER_02: So we can kind of trade products.
- 57:21SPEAKER_02: I might mine are still in sample.
- 57:24SPEAKER_02: I'm bottling it now so we can trade.
- 57:26SPEAKER_02: I'll give you some of my products and I'd love to try that.
- 57:28SPEAKER_02: And I love that you were saying that do not use your estrogen cream that's supposed to go somewhere else on your face.
- 57:34SPEAKER_02: And I thought that was such good information.
- 57:37SPEAKER_00: Because all over social media is put your vaginal estrogen cream on your face.
- 57:42SPEAKER_00: Like, whoa, what a great idea! And I'm like, no, don't.
- 57:45SPEAKER_00: There's way better options here, people.
- 57:47SPEAKER_00: So, guys, check it out.
- 57:48SPEAKER_00: We'll link it.
- 57:49SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna try it, I'll talk about it.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, and putting GHKCU serum is always what I actually say is pair it with the estrogen face cream, and that's gonna be your best.
- 57:59SPEAKER_00: Oh, my serum composition.
- 58:00SPEAKER_02: My serum is my hero product.
- 58:02SPEAKER_02: It is, I have a beta group and it is amazing, and it really, really, really works.
- 58:06SPEAKER_02: So I'll get you that.
- 58:07SPEAKER_02: Okay, you're in the hot seat real quick, Karen, before I've got to jump off.
- 58:09SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 58:10SPEAKER_02: Um, all right, if you could go back to your 20-year-old self, what would you say to this woman?
- 58:15SPEAKER_00: Newly woman.
- 58:16SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, that it's gonna get better.
- 58:20SPEAKER_00: It's a season.
- 58:21SPEAKER_00: Everything is gonna get better.
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: That's what I would tell myself that and that stopping drinking is gonna be the best thing that you've ever done.
- 58:28SPEAKER_00: Because I was a heavy drinker and in my 20s.
- 58:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, you figured it out, which is good.
- 58:33SPEAKER_02: Okay, so what is a daily non-negotiable for you?
- 58:39SPEAKER_02: Hormones.
- 58:40SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 58:41SPEAKER_02: You know, you're the first person.
- 58:44SPEAKER_02: Hormones and coffee.
- 58:46SPEAKER_02: God bless you.
- 58:46SPEAKER_02: Hormones and coffee.
- 58:47SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's I actually should say that.
- 58:49SPEAKER_02: I mean, I would laugh too.
- 58:50SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm a crazy woman before I trip driving around looking for my progesterone if I'm about to run out.
- 58:55SPEAKER_02: Like, you'll never see somebody more committed to getting things in a woman who needs their progesterone or their cream or whatever.
- 59:01SPEAKER_02: You know, my pellets in there, so that's the only other one that I have to get, but I get freaked out.
- 59:05SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 59:06SPEAKER_02: What is something that is a guilty pleasure that's not so guilty?
- 59:11SPEAKER_00: Ice cream.
- 59:12unknown: Yeah.
- 59:13SPEAKER_00: I am an ice cream fiend and I eat it all the time.
- 59:16SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 59:17SPEAKER_00: Multiple times a week, I'm having ice cream after dinner.
- 59:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, I love that.
- 59:21SPEAKER_02: Life's too short not to have that.
- 59:23SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 59:23SPEAKER_02: What?
- 59:24SPEAKER_02: Um, so you have two more questions.
- 59:25SPEAKER_02: What's your favorite peptide?
- 59:27SPEAKER_02: I think I know the answer to this, but oh, actually, that's really tough.
- 59:32SPEAKER_00: I actually the DLP ones, like they're my favorite as far as what they've done for me.
- 59:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:38SPEAKER_00: But how they like I do get headaches from them sometimes.
- 59:42SPEAKER_00: Like, so they're not like my favorite to take.
- 59:45SPEAKER_00: Um I would probably say I've tried a lot of different peptides, and the one that I felt made a big difference where I could actually feel it, was TB500.
- 59:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 59:56SPEAKER_02: A lot of people say that it's kind of a sleeper.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_02: Sometimes you don't hear it as much, but it is for inflammation.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_02: It's amazing.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_00: Like BPC 157 did nothing for me.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_00: Growth hormone secretagogues made me fat.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah, Tessa Morelin for the there's so many that just didn't work.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_02: When I go, when I go on your podcast, I want to make sure everyone knows Tessa Morelin for a middle-aged woman should never, you should never be on that.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_02: The amount of women that come to me and their male concierge doctor or their male tells I I'm going, oh my gosh.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_02: Like, there is like, no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_02: Okay, last one before Caesar really kicks me off.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_02: Where do you see yourself 20 years from now?
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_00: Still doing what I'm doing, actually.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_00: Um I love what I do.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: Love it.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_00: Absolutely love it.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna, I don't plan to retire.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_00: Well, I know I will, but I just in 20 years, maybe then I'll be retired.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: But not till then.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: Oh, I love that.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_00: Well, 70, all maybe.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_02: I'm excited to work with you more.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_02: I'm excited to introduce you to our entire my network.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_02: So we'll have everything in the show notes.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_02: They'll follow you, they'll check out you guys.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_02: She's got you got a great.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_00: Do you want to give your audience a coupon code for the estrogen cream?
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_00: Uh duh.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, let's do that.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_00: What are we gonna give them?
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, so what we'll give them 10% off anything in the store.
- 1:01:20SPEAKER_00: We got uh really nice velvet V, it's called vaginal moisturizer.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_00: That's our also our hardest seller.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_00: So the estrogen face cream and the vaginal moisturizer, like must-haves.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_00: Done.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_02: Okay, you're I'm gonna make you send those to me, and I will I will talk about them online now that I can get back on.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_02: And then I'm gonna trade you and I'm gonna send you my supplements and my uh GHKCU syrup.
- 1:01:43SPEAKER_02: That's so great.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it'll be fun.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_02: Well, awesome.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_02: Thank you for coming on.
- 1:01:47SPEAKER_02: This is amazing.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_02: The coupon code.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_02: What uh let's do loop 10.
- 1:01:54unknown: Perfect.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_02: Caesar, you got that?
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_02: All right, ladies.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_02: Loop 10.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 1:01:58SPEAKER_02: Thank you, Karen.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_02: This has been such a delight.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_02: Thank you for all your time.
- 1:02:01SPEAKER_02: Until next time, guys.
- 1:02:02SPEAKER_00: We'll talk to you soon.
- 1:02:03SPEAKER_02: Thanks for tuning in.
