Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: On this episode of the Massive Agent Podcast, we're going to talk about how the mortgage industry, loan officers, are really waking up to the importance of marketing and really what that means to you if you're a loan officer and what it means to you if you're an agent working with a loan officer.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: Plus, I have something really cool and timely to tell you about.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: The Massive Agent Podcast.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: I love to buy houses.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I like to sell houses.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: That's been better.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Oh my god, your attention now?
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Here's your host, Dustin Brown.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Hey, what's going on, everybody?
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Welcome to episode number 39 of the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: 39.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: What's crazy is I started this podcast.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: I feel like I blacked out.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: I blacked out since January.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Like, oh, all of a sudden we're at episode 39.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: So, guys, this is really the first episode I remember.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: I blacked out for episode one through 38.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: Kidding.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: But it's crazy how I mean January's not that long ago.
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: January 2018, I've already done almost 40 episodes and having an absolute blast.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I've met a lot of amazing people, had a lot of awesome opportunities open up.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: And so, man, it it's crazy.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: Time flies.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Time absolutely flies.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: For those that may not know me yet, my name is Dustin Brome, your host.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: I'm a realtor in Salt Lake City, Utah with EXP Realty.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: I'm the founder of Search Salt Lake and Salt Lake Insider, and also the founder of the Massive Agent Society, our Facebook ad lead generation training and support system, where we give you some Facebook ad campaigns.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: First off, we give you videos and support and live coaching, direct coaching from me and hand holding from me and other members of the group.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: So we teach you how to do them and more importantly, which ads to run, because a lot of people know how to do an ad, but maybe they struggle with knowing what to do.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: So we give you a lot of different examples.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: We tell you use this headline, use this creative, use this copy, copy, paste this, set it up, use this audience, bing, bing, boom.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: And speaking of that, so one of the main reasons why I started the Massive Agent Society is, I mean, first off, honestly, it's because one of the things that I have been very good at and have learned a lot about and had a lot of success with is Facebook ads and paid traffic.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And so, you know, I want to be able to share that with as many people as possible, but doing so requires that they have support because an ad that may work wonders in Seattle might not go anywhere for an agent in Miami, for example.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: So they have to adjust some things.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: So having support so that you can learn and know how to make those adjustments and what adjustments to make, that's key.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: So I wanted to provide that.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: But one of the main reasons too is I see a huge shift coming in this industry.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, the markets are starting to soften a little bit.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: And some of it is seasonal.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: It just depends on where you're at.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: But I know that Seattle, you know, it's starting to really cool off.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: And so we know because we've had the longest bull market ever, the longest bull market in history, we know that at some point this market has to start coming down.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying it's going to crash, but there's definitely going to be a correction in the real estate industry.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And so all of uh so many of us are so used to times being great and just prices going up indefinitely and there always being more demand than supply.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Well, guess what?
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Once there's a buyer's market, that changes.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Things are the opposite.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Now there's more supply than demand.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: And pretty soon you have to actually know how to market a property to sell it, and you might have trouble getting clients.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: So I'm I'm legitimately concerned about a lot of my fellow agents out there who they don't know hard times or they just don't know how to generate their own leads.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Maybe they're new to the business or they've relied on a team to give them leads, they don't know how to get their own leads.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: That's a problem.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: So it's very important to me that I help as many other agents as possible to take their lead generation into their own hands so that when the market does change, and regardless of the market conditions, if you know how to generate your own leads, you're gonna be just fine.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: In fact, you're probably gonna thrive because so much of your competition is going to go back working at Chili's.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: They're gonna go back to being a bank teller, or they're gonna go work at some, you know, accountant's firm.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: I mean, who knows?
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: And so a lot of your competition's gonna fall out, which means you have the opportunity to shine, especially if you can generate your own leads.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: So learning how to do that now, before the big crash or the correction or whatever, before that happens, is key.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: So with that in mind, because I'm personally I'm feeling a little urgency here, I'm starting to see a softening, and some of it is seasonal, but it just depends on the market you're in.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: So, what I'm going to do, against my better judgment here, but I think I think this is important.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: I really want to um I want to get the massive agent society in the hands of as many people as possible.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Now, I already give free lifetime membership to anyone who comes to join EXP Realty with me and to join our EXP team, so that's still on the table.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: But for you guys who are not with us, we do an annual membership, okay?
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: The annual membership's$2,900,$2,999.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that's$600 off.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: If you look at it, if you break down what it would be monthly for the Massive Agent Society, we give you$600 off to buy an annual membership.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: What I'm going to do from now until the end of September 2018, until 1159 p.m.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: on September 30th, 2018, the annual membership's half off.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: Maybe I'm maybe I've totally blacked out during this too, and I don't even realize that I'm doing this and that'll come to my senses.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: But for now, until I come to my senses, I'm doing 50% off the annual membership.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: So it's only$1,500.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: That's only$125 a month for the Massive Agent Society when it's normally$300.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: So take advantage.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: If you're if you've been on the fence, if you're like, oh, I don't know, you know, find out because I'm telling you, we turn into a pumpkin at the end of this month.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: That promotion goes away.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: I'm not going to do the half off the annual membership again, but it's there now.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: So find out.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: Go to MassiveAgensociety.com.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Find out if your market is still available.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: There's still some major cities, major markets that are still available, actually.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: There's Atlanta, Nashville, Miami, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Dallas, Seattle, the west side of Phoenix.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Scottsdale is already sold out, but Phoenix is so big that I broke it into three, along with East Valley.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Denver, Canada, that we don't have any society members in Canada.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: So like Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, those are still available.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Houston, New Orleans, Vegas.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: There's some big cities on there.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: So go to MassivagentSociety.com, click on sold out markets in the top, and find out if your market is still available.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: And if it is, you can take advantage of the annual, the one-year membership for only$1,500.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: That's 50% off.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: To get that deal, here's what you need to put in a coupon code.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Okay, so this coupon code expires, like I said, at the end of September 2018.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: The coupon code is 50 off annual.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: 50 off annual.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: All one word.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: That's the coupon code.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: So you use that at checkout.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: If you don't use that code, you don't get the discount.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Okay, so hopefully that'll help some of you guys get off the fence.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: And I'm telling you, take lead gen into your own hands because when the market turns, if all of a sudden Zillow leads or Realtor.com leads or wherever you've been buying leads from, if those turn to shit or they triple in price because no one can get their own clients anymore, so now they're just, you know, they're all going for Zillow leads, you're going to be priced out.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: The big teams are going to be the only ones that can afford it.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: So you've you have to start learning how to generate your your own leads, and the best spend out there, the best value by far is Facebook ads.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: We're going to show you how to do it in the Massive Agent Society and give you the support to learn it.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, all right.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: I know I yammered on a little bit more than I normally do at the beginning of the show, but I feel that that's important.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: Again, 50 off annual is the coupon code to get half off the annual membership.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: That's only 125 bucks a month for 12 months of the Massive Agent Society.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: So, okay, what I wanted to talk to you about today.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: I just got back from the engaged.marketing conference put on by HousingWire in Dallas.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: It was it was last week, and I spoke on a panel uh along with my my good friend Jason Frazier from theagentmarketer.com.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: We were on a panel about the relationship between a realtor and a lender.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: Now there were only two agents in the room.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: Everyone else were loan officers and lenders or executives at mortgage companies.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: So I'm going to give you my takeaways from it and what you need to know as an agent or as a loan officer from what I learned.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: So first off, I think, and I think it's important to say the tone of the panel directed at these lenders was I don't need your flyers.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: I don't need your rate sheets, I don't need another branded app, I don't need co-marketing, I need that stuff like I need a freaking hole in the head.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: What I need is for you to actually understand what I'm trying to do and understand my value.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: And if you want my clients as a realtor, you better bring some value to me first.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: So what I was telling these realtors, or sorry, these loan officers is that if they're trying to attract a realtor, they need to stop offering lunch or coffee or golf in return for clients.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: That's not a very good deal for a realtor, okay?
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: If realtors have a bunch of clients, maybe you should approach with something a little bit more interesting.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: How about this?
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: How about you as a loan officer learn how to market yourself?
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: Learn how to generate your own leads, learn how to run those Facebook ads.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: And by the way, the Massive Agent Society is absolutely available for loan officers.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: It's not just for agents.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: So LOs, you can take advantage of that half off deal as well.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: But if you can get your own leads and your own clients, then you can take those two pre-qualified buyers you have and approach an agent that you that you want to work with and that you want to build a long-term relationship with and say, hey, Mr.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: Realtor, I have two pre-qualified buyers here.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: Would you like them?
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: Of course, they're gonna say yes.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: They'd be stupid not to.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, this is a given, you have to absolutely wow them with your communication, with just how smooth it is, with getting shit done efficiently.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: And if you can do that while giving them a client first, you get their attention, you get them to work with you, you wow them during the process, and then I can almost guarantee you they're gonna feel like they need to reciprocate to you, and then all of a sudden they're referring business to you, which is what you wanted in the first place.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: But loan officers are doing it backwards.
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: They're coming with an ask first instead of giving something of value first and then hoping for a client in return.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: If you can do that, if you can start getting your own leads and your own clients, then you can get any realtor in town to work with you.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: I'm telling you, but you have to give a client to get a client.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: You know, I think that kind of sent shockwaves through some of the room.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: I mean, a lot of a lot of LOs got it, and the agents in the room were like nodding their heads, they're like, uh-huh, uh-huh.
- 11:01SPEAKER_00: They got it, but some of them it was a wake-up call because it flies in the face of everything that they've been taught from their, you know, old gray-haired mentors that have been, you know, they've been in the mortgage business for 30 years.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Things have changed dramatically in three years, let alone 30.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: So it makes sense to them.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: Here's what I'm noticing: the executives at these big mortgage companies and and lenders that were there, they all understand they're starting to wake up to the importance of content marketing, of social media, of you know, being online and having an online presence, being up to speed technologically.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: I feel like the mortgage industry and loan officers especially are like three or four years behind realtors.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: We've been doing this type of marketing, the stuff we've been talking about on this podcast, we've been doing this for years.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: But most loan officers have fallen so far behind because they're still sending freaking mass canned LinkedIn DMs trying to get realtors to go to coffee with them.
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: And that's their that's their business building strategy.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: And no wonder why they're starving to death.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: But loan officers are waking up, okay?
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: So if you're listening to the show, you're already a step ahead of your competition.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: But now you need to do something about it.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: Now you actually need to take what what you're learning here and go apply it.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, go learn how to run Facebook ads, go run some Google AdWords, go start a blog, start a video show, start a podcast in your local area, and start attracting your own clients.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: Now, realtors, if you're working with a loan officer who's still doing things the old way and they're not showing any signs that they're getting it or that they're starting to wake up, keep an eye on that.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: They may be a fantastic lender, but I'm telling you, technology at some point in the very near future is going to pass them by to where now they can't provide the same level of service and efficiency and everything because they're not up on the best new technology.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: They're just not.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: And here's what sucks if your loan officer has no interest in generating leads the right way, you're not ever going to get any referrals from them.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: So it may be a one-sided relationship where it's just you giving them leads and you don't get anything in return.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: That sucks.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: So keep an eye on your loan officer, but help them too.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: If they show a willingness to learn and realize that the ground has already shifted under their feet and they want to do something about it, they can make that decision like that.
- 13:19SPEAKER_00: Help them do that.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, maybe you can do some marketing together.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: You can go out and do some interview shows together or blog, and you know, you could each write articles or whatever you want to do.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: But loan officers, your competitors are waking up fast.
- 13:32SPEAKER_00: You need to wake up right now and start getting to work, doing what you know you have to do to get your own business.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Now, something else I noticed at this conference is about Housing Wire.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: So Housing Wire, I had heard about for years, but they're mostly as of now, they're mostly like all their content's geared towards the mortgage world.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: And, you know, Inmin is really geared towards the real estate agents.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Well, HousingWire, keep an eye on them because they are wanting to kind of merge the two and kind of build an Inman where it speaks just as much to realtors as it does to mortgage people.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: And I'm telling you, HousingWire could be a force to reckon with as far as a real estate media company in the next year or two because they have a really smart dude uh at the helm, his name's Clayton, and they have some really interesting projects coming up.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: This um this summit, this conference, was really well done.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: It was in a beautiful hotel in Dallas.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: It was at the Renaissance Hotel just north uh northwest of the city, overlooking downtown Dallas.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: It was amazing, beautiful.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: They did a fantastic job.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: They had Ryan Sirhant as the keynote speaker.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: And I didn't I didn't like I had heard of him before, but I I've never seen his show, Million Dollar Listing, and I've never seen Sell It Like Sir Hant.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: So I didn't know a lot about him, but my hell, he is hilarious.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: He is so funny as a keynote speaker.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, dude, I was laughing my ass off.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Everyone in the room was laughing their ass off.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: He's just authentic, he's approachable, he's funny, uh, but you can tell he's sharp and he is a freaking go-getter.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: So um that was cool.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: They brought him in.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: Uh I really was impressed with Housing Wire.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: So keep an eye on them.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: It's not Inman's not the only real estate media company in town, okay?
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: Now there's another company out there that I learned about that I had not heard of called Mellow Home.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: M-E-L-L-O Home.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Mellow Home is actually a company owned by Lone Depot, which I found out is like the fifth largest retail lender in the country.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: Um, and they're mostly online marketing, is how they get all their leads.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: But they they have Mellow Home and they hired the former CEO of Keller Williams.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: His name's Chris Heller.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: Chris Heller was at this conference.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Uh we he was actually at a dinner that I was at, which was cool, uh, but he did a little keynote talking about how Mellow Home is trying to create this all-in-one ecosystem for for the consumer that has you know the mortgage, has the realtor, title, home inspectors, repair people.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Everyone is kind of in the mellow home ecosystem, and they're trying to look for agent partners to work with them.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: Now you have to be a top producer, you have to do a certain number of deals per per year, and then they ask for, I believe it's a 25 or 30% referral fee for every deal you close, but it doesn't cost you anything up front to partner with them and be one of their go-to agents in your town.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: So check them out.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: Um I tr they're not paying me to say this at all, I just thought it was interesting.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: I haven't looked into them much here in the Salt Lake area, but I'm going to apply to be one of their partner agents.
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Mellow Home sounds like a very interesting idea.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: And all I know is the former CEO of Keller Williams is running the show there, and he's the dude that brought Keller Williams to basically to what it is today.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: He knows what the hell he's doing.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: So don't sleep on Mellow Home, don't sleep on Lone Depot either.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: So a quick little story about the conference, which I think is kind of cool.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: I met some really cool real estate podcasters there, and it it was weird.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: So we there were a few of us that went to this this executive dinner with uh with the founder of Housing Wire and and some other people, and we realized that the there were five of us sitting on one side of the table, and all five of us had our own podcast.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: It was it's like all of us loudmouths who can't help but just yap, all kind of congregated together, and someone was like, Holy crap, we have like five podcasts between us.
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: So cool.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: I met some I met some podcasters over in the mortgage space.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: I met David Lickin, who's a podcasting pioneer in the mortgage world.
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: He's been podcasting for nine years.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: He has a show called Lickin on Lending.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: His last name is Lickin.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: I know it sounds weird.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: He knows it too.
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: L-Y-K-K-E-N on lending.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: He is definitely I mean, dude, podcasting for nine years.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Wow, that guy is a legend.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: Jason Frazier, he he's a podcaster, he has the agent marketer podcast.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: I met Nate Smoyer, he does the Tech Nest podcast.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: He interviews real estate tech companies and founders of real estate tech firms, and then Phil Treadwell of the Mortgage Marketing Expert Podcast.
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: These and then little old me.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: These guys, it was so cool to meet and kind of talk shop.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: And these guys have we're all doing totally different things, really.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: So it was nice to bounce ideas off those guys.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: And we here's what's cool.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: We have a project that we're gonna work on together moving forward.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: So if you're looking for some other real estate podcasts, especially if you're a loan officer, check out some of those podcasts.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: The mortgage mortgage marketing expert, technest, the agent marketer, lickin' on lending, and well, you're already listening to this show, so another takeaway from the engage.marketing summit, there are some stats being passed around by these executives at these big mortgage companies like Lone Depot and Flagstar and Movement Mortgage and a lot of these uh these lenders that get a ton of leads online, is they're finding that that a majority, okay, a majority of consumers are now seeking financing first before they seek out a realtor.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: Guys, that's that that's mon that's huge.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's that's like, oh my God, pay attention because it used to be that the realtor started everything.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: The realtor, even though the realtor is still the general contractor of the situation, that is that you know we have to juggle all the subcontractors, title, lender, inspector, appraiser, all that stuff.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: That hasn't changed, but they're seeing a ton of data that shows that consumers are coming to the lender first because of their online marketing efforts.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: They're coming to the lender first.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Now the lender can help persuade them and point them in the direction of an agent.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's crazy.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: And if that trend continues, do you think it's going to be more important to know how to generate your own leads?
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: That means consumers are going to be coming to us less and less, and now we're at the mercy of being referred by a lender.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Pay attention to that, because if that trend continues, and it probably will, that is huge.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: I hope you guys are kind of seeing the theme here.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: This is, I mean, I don't mean this to be like, oh my God, the sky is falling, but this is getting real.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Okay, we have to pay attention and take action doing the right things in situations like this.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Our whole industry is changing.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: It's it's just it's getting nuts.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: So use your critical thinking, figure out, hey, if consumers continue to go to realtors less and go first to a lender, if that continues, what does that mean for me?
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: What do I need to do in order to get my own business?
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: Think about what that means.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: And I'm telling you, you have to learn how to generate your own leads on your own without relying on buying them from Zillow or wherever else.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: I'm talking organic leads through content marketing and Facebook ads.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: So stay tuned because uh there's gonna be a lot more uh now I'm even though loan officers and the mortgage industry is waking up to the importance of of this current modern marketing, I'm now awake to how behind the mortgage world was, and I'm now more in tune with what you know their perspective on things because this whole con this whole summit was basically their perspective.
- 21:04SPEAKER_00: So now I'm conscious of it.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna keep my eye on it.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: This is important stuff.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: I want to know what's going on on the mortgage side the same way they want to know what's going on on our side of things.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: So stay tuned.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: We're gonna be talking a lot more about this.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: This podcast will probably uh start speaking to loan officers a bit more than we have in the past, even though all the marketing stuff we've ever talked about is just as relevant for loan officers as it is for realtors.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: But I really want to help grow our audience in the loan officer community too.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: So, realtors, share this podcast.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: If you haven't yet, please share this podcast with your lender partners.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: They need to hear this stuff too.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Be don't you want your lender to be able to generate their own leads to then refer you more business?
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Because that's what's gonna happen.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, if you're learning, if you're learning stuff here on this show that's helping you to get more business, help your lender to do the same thing.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: That benefits both of you guys.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, just a quick reminder: we do have our Alexa Flash briefing.
