- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you'll be listening to a anxiety hypnosis session
- 0:48that is designed to help facilitate a feeling of calm
- 0:55relaxation. But more importantly, to
- 0:58perceive that there is this ability to create a calm
- 1:02sanctuary from within that once you find that place of feeling
- 1:07at ease and the absence of anxiety, that you can access it
- 1:13again. So I'm not going to do a long
- 1:15intro here because I mean, effectively this is a hypnosis
- 1:19session, which is really useful if you have either moments of
- 1:23anxiety or this kind of ongoing, almost chronic anxiety.
- 1:29In either of those cases, I think you'll get some value from
- 1:32this. Obviously it was created for a
- 1:35specific client, so if you do feel that an anxiety hypnosis
- 1:39session bespoke to you and your situation may be of interest,
- 1:43then there will be a link in the show notes.
- 1:45Or you can check out my website adamcox.co.uk.
- 1:48Book a free consultation, call there and we'll have a chat.
- 1:52For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 1:54won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 2:24Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in a
- 2:33resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 2:38And as you exhale, just take a moment to get as comfortable as
- 2:46you can, maybe sitting or lying down.
- 2:53Just allow your body to settle, to relax.
- 3:01And maybe your eyes are already closed.
- 3:05But if not, take a deep breath in.
- 3:09And as you exhale, allow them to close.
- 3:15And with your eyes closed, notice the rhythm of your
- 3:21breath, each inhale and exhale becoming slower, softer and
- 3:31easier. Take a deep breath in through
- 3:38your nose, and as you slowly exhale, just choose to release
- 3:47any tension you may be holding. And as you continue to breathe
- 3:55in and breathe out, maybe you could imagine a warm wave of
- 4:02relaxation beginning at the top of your head, flowing gently
- 4:09down through your face, down through your neck, into your
- 4:15shoulders, melting away tension with each breath.
- 4:23This wave of relaxation spreads, softening and loosening every
- 4:32muscle as it moves down your arms, into your torso, down into
- 4:41your legs, and all the way to the very tips of your toes.
- 4:55As you breathe in and breathe out, allow yourself to sink
- 5:01deeper into this calm, safe space.
- 5:06And I wonder if you could imagine a staircase.
- 5:12Not your staircase, but maybe a staircase that you've seen
- 5:16before. Maybe you can think of a
- 5:20particular building in Rome, Dubai or somewhere else.
- 5:29Either a real staircase or a staircase of your imagination.
- 5:39A beautiful, distinctive staircase.
- 5:44A staircase that leads down to a place that you decide is a place
- 5:51of deep peace and and relaxation.
- 6:01With each step you take down you feel even more at ease, even
- 6:10more calm. 10 Taking the first step down 9.
- 6:17Deeper and more relaxed 8. Just letting go of any tension.
- 6:27Seven. Feeling so calm now Six.
- 6:32Halfway there now. Five.
- 6:37Imagine doubling the relaxation with every step down the
- 6:41staircase. 4 becomes 3. Almost there, two and one.
- 6:50And at the bottom of the staircase, it transforms into a
- 6:57place of deep relaxation. In this calm and relaxed state,
- 7:14your body is already starting to return to balance.
- 7:18And maybe there's something about this calm, relaxing place.
- 7:23Maybe it's a room you know well, maybe a garden, a place in
- 7:30nature, But here, in this safe, calm, relaxed state, feel that
- 7:38your sympathetic nervous system doesn't need to be hyper
- 7:45vigilant in a state of unease. Just calm it all the way down,
- 7:53giving you time and space to feel grounded and present.
- 8:02And imagine the oxygen in this relaxed space is infused with
- 8:09calmness, so each breath you take carries a sense of ease and
- 8:17relief, releasing any physical symptoms of anxiety.
- 8:25Maybe there's memories of tension or shaking.
- 8:28Just allow those memories to fade, to begin to soften,
- 8:36dissolve and relax any tension. Because here in this place,
- 8:43you're creating a moment of calm where your mind becomes clear
- 8:50and focused. And imagine the centre of this
- 8:59space and imagine it in as much detail as you can that helps you
- 9:06to feel in a safe place of relaxation.
- 9:12And imagine breathing in calmness with every breath, and
- 9:19exhaling tension in every outward breath.
- 9:56So imagine now standing in the centre of your own inner
- 10:02sanctuary, a place where you can reflect and evaluate, free from
- 10:08any urgency or pressure. In this sanctuary, you realise
- 10:15that open loops and uncertainties don't require
- 10:20immediate action. Here you have the time and the
- 10:27inner wisdom to decide what is truly important and what can
- 10:33wait. And with each breath you are
- 10:39untangling those loops, creating space and clarity within.
- 10:50And I wonder if you can imagine holding a gentle light in your
- 10:55hand and allow this light to represent your intuition, your
- 11:03inner guidance. Imagine it glowing softly,
- 11:11illuminating the path ahead, showing you what feels right and
- 11:20true for you. Because you don't need all the
- 11:25answers now. You only need to trust this
- 11:31light to guide you. And I wonder if you can bring to
- 11:42mind a dynamic, a relationship, a situation that you are
- 11:49evaluating, but this time see it as though it is placed on a
- 11:55table in front of you, outside of yourself.
- 12:01Maybe see yourself as a character on that table so you
- 12:07can observe it clearly and objectively.
- 12:13See the dynamics, clarity, confusion.
- 12:19See it all and notice as the observer how it makes you feel.
- 12:28Does it bring you joy, peace and fulfilment?
- 12:35Or does it feel heavy, uncertain or draining?
- 12:42As you observe, allow your intuition to whisper gently,
- 12:51helping you to see whether this relationship situation or
- 12:58dynamic meets your needs or if adjustments are needed.
- 13:08And as you do this, feel a growing sense of confidence and
- 13:15empowerment. You know that you can
- 13:21communicate your boundaries clearly and calmly, honouring
- 13:26your own needs while remaining respectful.
- 13:32Picture yourself expressing your boundaries with clarity and
- 13:37grace, feeling comfortable and self assured as you speak your
- 13:44truth. This isn't a version of you
- 13:49compromising, settling, tolerating.
- 13:56I want you to see a version of you empowered, strong and
- 14:01aligned. And imagine now making decisions
- 14:07that align with your values, with what matters most to you.
- 14:15See yourself moving forward, feeling empowered and supported.
- 14:21See that version of you on that table in front, choosing a path
- 14:26that feels right, knowing that it's OK to prioritise your
- 14:31well-being. You're the observer seeing
- 14:39different scenarios, and as you continue to breathe deeply, feel
- 14:46any lingering anxiety or tension draining away from your body
- 14:53like water flowing down a drain pipe.
- 15:02Imagine your nervous system as a thermostat and just dial it all
- 15:07the way down. That very thing that causes
- 15:13shaking? Just dial it down, replacing it
- 15:18with a steady calm that the triggers become less triggering.
- 15:27You're able to feel so empowered and strong and grounded.
- 15:38Things that used to trigger you now slide off you like water off
- 15:46a duck's back. Because you are in control of
- 15:50your decisions and you choose how to respond to life's
- 15:56challenges with clarity and composure.
- 16:04Maybe you could imagine a still lake within you, the surface of
- 16:14that lake smooth and motionless. This is your inner state now,
- 16:24one of peace, balance and strength.
- 16:29Picture that lake and whenever you need to return to this
- 16:33place. If the lake is turbulent,
- 16:37imagine it calming until it's still.
- 16:42The deeper you breathe that turbulent lake and can become a
- 16:46still lake within minutes. Remember this calm sanctuary is
- 16:55within you. In a few moments time I will
- 17:02count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you and you will take
- 17:06this calm feeling, but also the inside, the clarity of
- 17:12objectivity, the sanctuary within you, back to the here and
- 17:16now. So take a deep breath in through
- 17:22your nose and out through your nose.
- 17:27Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 17:29Connect fully with the here and now as I now count from 1:00 to
- 17:3510:00 to awaken you. Starting to count 123 Waking up
- 17:42456. More alert 7-8 Open your eyes.
- 17:47Open your eyes 910. Wide awake, Wide awake.
