- 0:00Speaker: I see all good people.
- 0:02Speaker: Good morning.
- 0:04Speaker: Good to be here.
- 0:05Speaker: Good to be alive and to have a mind to think.
- 0:10Speaker: Be able to understand and feel things.
- 0:14Speaker: Be sensitive to things.
- 0:17Speaker: As you and I are already making this opportunity to practice being more sensitive, being more aware.
- 0:29Speaker: Someone brought to my attention yesterday, some or maybe even all of the things I say are not uniquely mine.
- 0:40Speaker: Always to be understood.
- 0:44Speaker: We are very similar.
- 0:46Speaker: Homo sapiens.
- 0:48Speaker: We take advantage of our perspective and proceed to think about, to meditate over our long and illustrious path through evolution.
- 1:05Speaker: As a consequence of this, we are very similar.
- 1:10Speaker: Our ancestors have winnowed our beings into the shape and form and way we think we find today.
- 1:24Speaker: So it is logical we would be thinking of the same kinds of subjects, matters, as perhaps those of a hundred years ago or a thousand years ago or more.
- 1:42Speaker: And further, what are the multiplicity of messages suggestive of?
- 1:54Speaker: We need to be reminded all the time of our individual greatness, our energy, our long genealogical history, evolution, which oftentimes are ignored.
- 2:17Speaker: We need to practice, as you and I are doing, as a means, as a suggestion to oneself, to be more aware.
- 2:30Speaker: To rise.
- 2:33Speaker: Find a deeper and greater sensitivity to what's occurring inside and out.
- 2:44Speaker: One's own physical being.
- 2:46Speaker: What can we feel?
- 2:49Speaker: What is our energy thinking?
- 2:53Speaker: What kind of energy is being shared with us?
- 2:58Speaker: Are we receiving?
- 3:00Speaker: And what kind of energy are we disseminating past our skin, into the air, into the atmosphere, into all that is around us, because the energy is going, regardless.
- 3:17Speaker: Yet we have choices to make positive, negative, indifferent.
- 3:24Speaker: Ignoring is indifferent.
- 3:28Speaker: Being here now in our moments together, in one's eternal moment, one has every day eighty-six thousand four hundred moments, there is an opportunity.
- 3:50Speaker: What we're suggesting is to take advantage of as many of them individually as possible.
- 4:00Speaker: A more broad perspective.
- 4:04Speaker: One can share with one's own being, one's own mind, one's two cerebrums and one cerebellum and one brainstem.
- 4:15Speaker: You have four different brains.
- 4:17Speaker: You can talk to each other.
- 4:22Speaker: They talk to each other in maybe not verbalized like we're doing, but in their own way.
- 4:28Speaker: You have two eyes.
- 4:30Speaker: The eyes are going to the different cerebrums, and there is a relationship of focusing between them.
- 4:37Speaker: This is communication.
- 4:39Speaker: When two images overlap a hundred percent.
- 4:43Speaker: We take for granted our sight.
- 4:47Speaker: And yet, it is better and best if we can focus on how lucky we are in every way we can imagine how much better to be full of humility rather than egotism.
- 5:11Speaker: How much better than taking something for granted to be thankful, to be full of gratitude, and these virtues, because they are virtues, humility and gratitude, they are a foundation for AWE, "Awe breathing," with the sound of awe on one's exhale.
- 6:00Speaker: As one exhales long and slow, verbalize or beneath the threshold of sound.
- 6:08Speaker: Feel an energized exhalation coming from your chest, from your lungs, from your heart, from your bones, your rib cage, up into and through your throat, your neck, and into one's mouth, tongue, lips, nose, and nostrils.
- 6:31Speaker: Allowing this energy to flow.
- 6:35Speaker: Oh relaxing, becoming more calm, peaceful, at ease.
- 6:44Speaker: And remember, we're talking about not only breathing with awe or om or ah or anything, but with depth, with the realization one is vibrating throughout this exhalation, and one's whole body is responding simultaneously, thinking there's so much going on, and again coming back to this word of awe, remembering its definition is a sense of reverence and astonishment, being this way, being amazed by what we are representing, have the potential to become, and reverent that somehow, some way, we are here thinking about these things for another minute, linger with the music.
- 8:07Speaker: We are here now, bundles of miracles, humbled before the immensity of creation, and thankful for having a part of the city.
