- 1:02Speaker 2: because it's kind of what is giving clues and talking
- 1:06Speaker 2: about something that we have coming, but also something that
- 1:08Speaker 2: we are so passionate about. There's been really life changing
- 1:11Speaker 2: for us and something we actually did as little girls
- 1:13Speaker 2: we brought back into our adult life.
- 1:14Speaker 1: We're going to talk about it today. It's about dancing.
- 1:17Speaker 3: But first, what is your share of the week dance classes?
- 1:20Speaker 4: Both of us honestly heels by Misha.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:24Speaker 3: The studio is honestly next level. It is like, honestly awaken,
- 1:29Speaker 3: like this fire in me to come back to dance
- 1:31Speaker 3: and to reconnect with my body again after feeling scared,
- 1:34Speaker 3: feeling terrified, feeling like, oh my gosh, it's been so
- 1:36Speaker 3: long since I've done this, and to just drop into
- 1:39Speaker 3: my body after being so work focused all the time,
- 1:41Speaker 3: It's been such.
- 1:42Speaker 4: A gift and I love it. The vibe is so good.
- 1:44Speaker 3: All the girls there are so open, Everyone looks so
- 1:47Speaker 3: sexy in their little outfits and you just get to
- 1:49Speaker 3: just unleash and it's the best feeling ever.
- 1:51Speaker 1: It's so beautiful.
- 1:52Speaker 2: What I love about dance is no matter what you've
- 1:54Speaker 2: got gone on your life, you have to be so
- 1:55Speaker 2: present because you're learning the moves, you're listening to the music,
- 1:58Speaker 2: you're moving your body, so it's like nothing else matters
- 2:00Speaker 2: but that moment and you're just so connected to yourself,
- 2:03Speaker 2: to the music.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And to the environment.
- 2:05Speaker 2: You get to be so present and it really does
- 2:07Speaker 2: help you get back into that flow of your beautiful
- 2:09Speaker 2: feminine essence.
- 2:10Speaker 3: You know, it's so beautiful as well. Like everything that
- 2:12Speaker 3: is built there is based off Misha. Yeah, and if
- 2:15Speaker 3: you guys don't know Misha, she's so incredible. We did
- 2:17Speaker 3: a podcast episode with her a little while back, and
- 2:18Speaker 3: she's the owner and she is just an incredible human,
- 2:21Speaker 3: incredible friend of ours and also previous client of mine.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Everything that she has built is representation of like her beautiful, fierce,
- 2:27Speaker 3: feminine energy.
- 2:28Speaker 2: It's been so cool. She's definitely been a huge inspiration
- 2:31Speaker 2: for me for many years. I remember going to her
- 2:33Speaker 2: dance classes back when she didn't even have her own studio.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It was like tiny, this tiny studios, so cool, A
- 2:38Speaker 2: couple of girls who got like private listeners from her,
- 2:40Speaker 2: and it was just so much fun. I remember when
- 2:43Speaker 2: I first saw a girl I know go to her
- 2:45Speaker 2: classes and.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I was like, what is this.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I've never seen this type of dancing. And from the
- 2:49Speaker 2: moment I had my first class with Misha, I was like,
- 2:51Speaker 2: oh my gosh, I can see myself doing this for a.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Very long time.
- 2:54Speaker 2: We definitely dipped in and out, would go like half
- 2:56Speaker 2: for six months and then we'll have three months off.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Oh for got, she miss dancing so much.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 3:00Speaker 2: The hardest thing is where Grandma's so sometimes if there
- 3:03Speaker 2: isn't the six thirty class, because we like to go
- 3:05Speaker 2: to the beginner's classes. As much as we love to
- 3:07Speaker 2: be challenged, we also want to be able to get
- 3:08Speaker 2: the routine in a way that we feel really confident
- 3:10Speaker 2: and really good. So we go to beginners classes, which
- 3:13Speaker 2: nowadays are more on the seven thirty times slot, which
- 3:15Speaker 2: means you don't get home till nine nine thirty. And
- 3:17Speaker 2: we're so wide because we're so hot.
- 3:20Speaker 4: It's so hard to go to bed.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Go to bed at eleven o'clock on those nights because
- 3:23Speaker 3: I'm just so excited.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Me, you and Meg will be messaging each other and
- 3:26Speaker 2: being like we need to go to bed. Girls, we're like, oh,
- 3:28Speaker 2: how fung was that routine?
- 3:28Speaker 1: I love the song?
- 3:30Speaker 3: Or like all in our beds watching it twenty seven
- 3:32Speaker 3: times over which dance.
- 3:34Speaker 2: It's just so much fun and I think it's really
- 3:36Speaker 2: changed a lot for us, and it's been really cool
- 3:39Speaker 2: to take my audience along the journey of my dance journey,
- 3:41Speaker 2: because I tell you what, when I did a lap
- 3:44Speaker 2: dance class, which was so much fun. You got to
- 3:47Speaker 2: bring your part in and learn a lap dance and
- 3:49Speaker 2: perform for them. I've never ever my whole entire life
- 3:52Speaker 2: had so much interaction with my DMS. I could not
- 3:55Speaker 2: keep up four weeks on it. There's still messages in
- 3:57Speaker 2: there that I just I couldn't keep up, and mostly positive.
- 4:00Speaker 2: So much feedback on where do you go to do this?
- 4:03Speaker 2: How are you so confident?
- 4:04Speaker 1: I want to do this? My partner, my husband would
- 4:06Speaker 1: love this. Where to get you out?
- 4:07Speaker 2: It's from like just so many questions and in just
- 4:10Speaker 2: just like wow, there's so many women that are really
- 4:12Speaker 2: craving to feel sexy again, and a lot of mums.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I have a big mum audience, and I think after
- 4:18Speaker 2: you have children, somewhere along the lines, we think that
- 4:21Speaker 2: we just lost that sexy part of ourselves. And it's like,
- 4:23Speaker 2: why you don't have to just because your mum doesn't
- 4:25Speaker 2: mean you have to wear a moomoo and have your
- 4:27Speaker 2: hair in a messy bun every day. You can still
- 4:29Speaker 2: feel sexy. And I love being that walking role model
- 4:32Speaker 2: for that. Even the pushback I do get, I push
- 4:34Speaker 2: through it because I'm like, I want to show other mums.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I'm thirty seven, I have two children. If I can
- 4:38Speaker 2: do this, so can you. It doesn't matter about the
- 4:41Speaker 2: size or shape. When you get to a class, you
- 4:42Speaker 2: will see there as women from all walks of life,
- 4:45Speaker 2: all different ages, all different sizes, all different experiences, and
- 4:49Speaker 2: every single girl there is celebrated, is being cheered upon,
- 4:53Speaker 2: is having the best time, and walks out at they're
- 4:55Speaker 2: just feeling like a million bucks, like we need more
- 4:58Speaker 2: of this, yeah, every single day, Like get yourself to
- 5:00Speaker 2: a dance class.
- 5:01Speaker 4: That's so true.
- 5:01Speaker 3: I feel like a lot of women are disconnected from
- 5:03Speaker 3: their selves, their sensuality, sexuality, all of it. And when
- 5:06Speaker 3: we're not connected to our bodies, it's like really shows
- 5:09Speaker 3: in everyday life, like we can't have fun anymore. And
- 5:11Speaker 3: everything's so serious and everything's so rigid and all about
- 5:15Speaker 3: work and forward focus and there's no time for play.
- 5:18Speaker 3: And for me at least, like coming back into dancing
- 5:20Speaker 3: has been just about being able to let go again
- 5:23Speaker 3: and it is. It's scary, it's hard, Like every single
- 5:26Speaker 3: woman who walks into the dance studio has their own
- 5:28Speaker 3: set of fears, their own set of self judgments. I
- 5:30Speaker 3: know when I went in there, I was like, but
- 5:31Speaker 3: it's been so long, and what if I don't get it,
- 5:33Speaker 3: And what if I can't dance in heels and it's hard?
- 5:36Speaker 3: Or what if I can't get the moves right? Or
- 5:37Speaker 3: what if I look stupid doing it? Like what if
- 5:39Speaker 3: I don't feel sexy when I'm doing it? All of
- 5:41Speaker 3: these fears came up, and sure, like you face those fears,
- 5:45Speaker 3: but if you just keep going, you'll see how much
- 5:48Speaker 3: they actually quiet down when you start to enjoy yourself.
- 5:51Speaker 4: And that's I guess the art of.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Going to dance is getting out of your head and
- 5:55Speaker 3: your thoughts and getting into your body and feeling the
- 5:58Speaker 3: moves instead of going ABE or one two three four.
- 6:01Speaker 3: You know, it's like it's a different experience, and when
- 6:04Speaker 3: you do it with people like I feel like it
- 6:06Speaker 3: makes it even more of a fun experience, Like going
- 6:08Speaker 3: with you and Meg and the girls and Amy has
- 6:10Speaker 3: been so much fun.
- 6:12Speaker 2: So fun, and you need to do people there like
- 6:13Speaker 2: I met Mega dancing. That's so cool, Like we were
- 6:15Speaker 2: both six weeks pregnant and that's where I met her.
- 6:17Speaker 4: That's a while.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It's been friends ever since. We were going to be
- 6:19Speaker 2: going dance class few years together.
- 6:21Speaker 4: How cooly you guys are both six weeks pregnant and going.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we continued to go for ages while we were pregnant.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Like I literally remember having a big balley and going
- 6:27Speaker 2: to dance class.
- 6:28Speaker 4: So cool.
- 6:28Speaker 2: And yes, I couldn't roll around on the floor like
- 6:30Speaker 2: the other girls. But I find too, I think a
- 6:32Speaker 2: lot of women have a fear that when they come
- 6:34Speaker 2: to these dance classes they're going to get in the
- 6:35Speaker 2: comparison mindset. And for sure that I won't lie. There's
- 6:39Speaker 2: been moments where I've compared myself and I wish I
- 6:41Speaker 2: could move like her. I'm quick to catch it and
- 6:44Speaker 2: turn that mindset into inspiration of Like when I compare
- 6:47Speaker 2: myself to a dance each for example, I'm like, she's
- 6:49Speaker 2: been dancing four years. Yeah, she does this every single night.
- 6:52Speaker 2: If I put that amount of dedication into it, of
- 6:54Speaker 2: course I'm going to get better. Yeah you know, yeah,
- 6:57Speaker 2: And it's just cool. And also with dancing, what stops
- 6:59Speaker 2: the comparison noise in my head is like when you
- 7:02Speaker 2: sit down and you watch and everyone films and you
- 7:04Speaker 2: take turns. You look every single girl, they're all doing
- 7:06Speaker 2: the same move, but it all looks so different. Yeah,
- 7:09Speaker 2: one girl's like flicked a hair and put her fingers
- 7:11Speaker 2: in her mouth, and the others like putting her hands
- 7:13Speaker 2: down her body, and the others got different facials, or
- 7:16Speaker 2: they might kick their legs slightly different because they put
- 7:18Speaker 2: their own style into it. It's like you can't compare
- 7:20Speaker 2: how your body naturally wants to move compared to someone else's,
- 7:24Speaker 2: or if someone's really flexible, your move might look different
- 7:27Speaker 2: to theirs. Me and you we struggle with their hair flicks.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Sometimes we don't even do the hair flick instead will
- 7:31Speaker 2: do an extra body role. You'll just make it work
- 7:33Speaker 2: to what feels good for us for sure. And you'll
- 7:35Speaker 2: hear me Sha and the other teachers be like, oh
- 7:37Speaker 2: my gosh, I love that move.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It's not oh you did that wrong. It's like, fuck, yeah,
- 7:41Speaker 1: we like show you more of your own style.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah, everything is encouraged, and you hear in the background
- 7:46Speaker 2: that everyone.
- 7:46Speaker 1: We're like, wow, you've got this.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Yes, it's so genuine. You'd literally want to scream out
- 7:51Speaker 2: at the girls that are dancing in front of you because.
- 7:53Speaker 1: They just look so good.
- 7:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I love that you mentioned that as well. Everyone
- 7:57Speaker 3: puts their own flavor on the routine.
- 7:59Speaker 4: It's so interesting.
- 8:00Speaker 3: I was behind one of the dance teachers, Saya, Oh my.
- 8:03Speaker 4: God, wow, all right she is she just welve out of.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Ten me and you I draw.
- 8:09Speaker 2: I'm like, yeap guy, just for compe women, honestly, just
- 8:13Speaker 2: for context guys.
- 8:14Speaker 4: Her back flexibility.
- 8:15Speaker 3: And she's a gymnast as well, so she's a gymnast,
- 8:18Speaker 3: she's a dancer. She teaches the advanced classes, so she
- 8:20Speaker 3: is very, very good. And she was in front of me,
- 8:23Speaker 3: but it was It's so interesting because remember watching her
- 8:26Speaker 3: being like, holy shit, I cannot move like that. But
- 8:29Speaker 3: I also looked at her and I was like, oh
- 8:30Speaker 3: my god, how grateful that I get to be behind
- 8:32Speaker 3: to teach her, to learn her little cues and like
- 8:35Speaker 3: see what she does and like little things that I
- 8:37Speaker 3: might miss, like little head nods or a little scoop
- 8:39Speaker 3: with the bumb like things that I would miss because
- 8:41Speaker 3: I'm nervous. I get to watch her and go, wow,
- 8:44Speaker 3: I can just let go in this moment. And it's
- 8:47Speaker 3: again that perspective shift of like actually I remember as well,
- 8:50Speaker 3: on that same night, I ended up hurting my shoulder
- 8:53Speaker 3: and because I'd landed on like a move on the
- 8:55Speaker 3: floor wrong, and then I like got the shits and
- 8:57Speaker 3: I was really hard on myself when I watched my
- 8:59Speaker 3: video back and I was like, oh, I did it
- 9:00Speaker 3: so wrong and I made all these mistakes. But also
- 9:03Speaker 3: in the same breath, it's like I'm not there to
- 9:05Speaker 3: compare to everybody else who's in the room, like you're
- 9:07Speaker 3: there for you and whilso hurt myself.
- 9:10Speaker 4: That wasn't a vibe. We don't love that, but it
- 9:13Speaker 4: was just I'm glad that I went.
- 9:14Speaker 3: And even though I felt like I had hurt myself,
- 9:17Speaker 3: I still kept going and kept going and kept going
- 9:19Speaker 3: all the way to when we filmed each other and
- 9:21Speaker 3: to film ourselves, and I was like, I still tried
- 9:24Speaker 3: to go all out even though I felt like a
- 9:26Speaker 3: little bit injured. Yeah, And I was like no, no, no,
- 9:28Speaker 3: Like I don't have to give up mentally now because
- 9:31Speaker 3: I feel like, oh I can't get it right. Yeah,
- 9:34Speaker 3: you know, It's like my mind in that moment was like, oh,
- 9:35Speaker 3: make an excuse, or you feel a little bit sore,
- 9:37Speaker 3: or you're a little bit tired, and a little bit
- 9:38Speaker 3: gassed out.
- 9:39Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, sure, all of those things get to
- 9:40Speaker 4: be true.
- 9:41Speaker 3: It's hard and challenging, it's something that you don't normally do,
- 9:44Speaker 3: but like have fun with it.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yes, it's so cool. I'm really loving it.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I hate the weeks that we don't get to go
- 9:50Speaker 2: yea even for our buyer and bar retreat. Yeah, it's
- 9:53Speaker 2: like so many the girls like, oh we thought there'd
- 9:55Speaker 2: be a dance class at this timetable. Why are you
- 9:57Speaker 2: girls not teaching one? We're like, oh wow, you wanted
- 10:00Speaker 2: to do this. Yeah, and there's so many women across
- 10:03Speaker 2: Australia that don't have dance classes where they are.
- 10:06Speaker 1: We're very very lucky.
- 10:07Speaker 2: She's got studios in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney. Yeah,
- 10:11Speaker 2: so like, very very lucky if you've got a studio
- 10:13Speaker 2: near you that does these Hills dance classes.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Like, cannot recommend it enough.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Yeah, it's so incredible.
- 10:19Speaker 3: And even when we launched our Spicy Deck, which is
- 10:21Speaker 3: our physical product, yes, all of the women also mentioned
- 10:24Speaker 3: something about dancing men dance classes because of our clues,
- 10:29Speaker 3: which is really cool. But it was also showed like
- 10:31Speaker 3: a showcase like demand and how much women are one
- 10:34Speaker 3: wanting to get offline and in person and to just
- 10:36Speaker 3: be in and amongst that really beautiful feminine energy.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Like, I've had so many conversations with my clients being
- 10:41Speaker 3: like when I started posting, which was so scary by
- 10:44Speaker 3: the way, guys, I was like, well, you know what,
- 10:45Speaker 3: I'm going to commit to this journey and post on
- 10:47Speaker 3: social media my dancing videos. And a couple of my
- 10:50Speaker 3: clients messaged me and we had a conversation about it,
- 10:52Speaker 3: and they were like, oh, what I would do to
- 10:54Speaker 3: be able to access that feminine energy. And I'm like,
- 10:57Speaker 3: every woman is on their own journey, is in their
- 10:59Speaker 3: own timeline of how connected they are, how disconnected they are,
- 11:03Speaker 3: how they feel in themselves, but even more of a
- 11:06Speaker 3: reason why, like it's okay to overcome those fears and
- 11:08Speaker 3: to just put yourself in the room.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Yeah, And it's sad a lot of women think they
- 11:12Speaker 2: can't dance. Dancing is not like singing, you know how.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Some people just born with a good voice. Dancing is
- 11:17Speaker 2: a skill that you build up. You learn the routine,
- 11:20Speaker 2: you learn how to move your body, you learn how
- 11:22Speaker 2: to flick your head, you learn as you go. It's
- 11:25Speaker 2: something like, of course, if you dance as a little girl,
- 11:27Speaker 2: you're probably going to pick it up a lot quicker.
- 11:29Speaker 2: But the way the classes are broken down, you go
- 11:32Speaker 2: over and over and over and over the move. So
- 11:34Speaker 2: I've never been to a class where someone like doesn't
- 11:36Speaker 2: get the routine. Yeah, you know, it's just so much fun.
- 11:39Speaker 2: We absolutely love it. So something's been in the works, guys.
- 11:44Speaker 2: But it's not just a dance class. We're doing something.
- 11:48Speaker 2: And if you follow us on social media last night
- 11:50Speaker 2: you would have seen we posted our first clue, and
- 11:52Speaker 2: then tonight another one goes live, another one tomorrow, and
- 11:56Speaker 2: then we're announcing something on Wednesday.
- 11:57Speaker 4: It's very exciting.
- 11:58Speaker 1: It's so exciting.
- 11:59Speaker 4: We're gonna love it.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Oh, we've been talking about doing something like this for
- 12:03Speaker 2: so long since.
- 12:04Speaker 4: We start it.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I think since we started Cheatriser, this has always
- 12:07Speaker 3: been something that's been on the horizon and we just
- 12:09Speaker 3: always said, like, we'll do it at the right time,
- 12:11Speaker 3: And now feels like the right time and also with
- 12:14Speaker 3: the right people too.
- 12:15Speaker 2: Yeah, something happened we were like, oh my gosh, we
- 12:17Speaker 2: need to do this. So we just like reached out explore,
- 12:20Speaker 2: as we do when we come up with an idea,
- 12:22Speaker 2: we execute very very So this is only a couple
- 12:24Speaker 2: of weeks ago that we were like, okay, we're doing
- 12:26Speaker 2: this and looked at all the logistics and.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Worked it out, made it happen, made it happen.
- 12:31Speaker 2: So it's very very cool and it's something that everyone
- 12:33Speaker 2: will be able to access to to a certain degree.
- 12:36Speaker 2: There's two parts to it, yeah, which is really cool.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Now there's more than two parts to it. Oh my gosh,
- 12:40Speaker 2: so exciting. I can't give for anything else. I like,
- 12:43Speaker 2: I'm like, be careful, head over to our social media,
- 12:45Speaker 2: see the first clue, yes, and just come along the journey.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I love clues. It's so fun for everyone to be
- 12:49Speaker 1: engaged and have their guesses.
- 12:50Speaker 2: And see how well we do with like creating clues
- 12:53Speaker 2: that don't give it away too much but build the
- 12:55Speaker 2: anticipation of like what could this be?
- 12:57Speaker 3: And we would love for you to give us your
- 12:58Speaker 3: opinion on what you think it's going to be or yes,
- 13:01Speaker 3: what you think that we have planned because we'd love
- 13:02Speaker 3: to see what your what your guesses are.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Like you obviously you know the topic of it, yeah,
- 13:06Speaker 2: from this conversation. But yeah, but there are some other elements,
- 13:10Speaker 2: are other parts to it?
- 13:12Speaker 3: Yes, which is very cool so far. I'm so excited. Yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 3: it's very different to what we've done previously.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Very different, but I think you guys are all going
- 13:19Speaker 1: to love it.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 3: I think for a really long time when it came
- 13:24Speaker 3: to dancing, I really got caught in my head of
- 13:27Speaker 3: like being comfortable, you know, like you want to do
- 13:30Speaker 3: something for a really long time and you're just like, oh,
- 13:32Speaker 3: I know, all these stories come up. I can't do this,
- 13:34Speaker 3: I'm scared, I feel fearful, and then you kind of
- 13:37Speaker 3: like prevent yourself from going because those stories build up. Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 3: And I think for a long time there when it
- 13:42Speaker 3: came to dance, like I got really comfortable, and it
- 13:44Speaker 3: got really comfortable not pushing myself and pushing my boundary
- 13:47Speaker 3: of what you know, was outside of my comfort zone. Yeah,
- 13:50Speaker 3: and I think it plays into every other area of life,
- 13:52Speaker 3: Like I recently started doing piano as well, and you know,
- 13:55Speaker 3: we're just like going outside of my comfort and doing
- 13:58Speaker 3: things that feel new for the first time. And even
- 14:00Speaker 3: though this is something I've come back to dancing, it
- 14:03Speaker 3: doesn't mean that the fears don't still come back up,
- 14:06Speaker 3: you know. So it's like if there's something that you're
- 14:07Speaker 3: wanting to do, especially when it comes to dance and
- 14:10Speaker 3: you want to drop into that feminine energy, Like, there's
- 14:12Speaker 3: no better time to start than now, because if you
- 14:15Speaker 3: don't overcome those fears, like you might be like, oh,
- 14:18Speaker 3: just I'll start next month, and then I'll start in
- 14:19Speaker 3: three months from now, six months from now, and then
- 14:22Speaker 3: before you know it, you're kind of that person who's like, Wow,
- 14:24Speaker 3: I've been wanting to do this for five years, and
- 14:25Speaker 3: I just I haven't been able to start. It's like
- 14:28Speaker 3: that start date only feels further away, only feels harder
- 14:31Speaker 3: with time.
- 14:33Speaker 4: So true, I love.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Approaching these things now now that I've gotten more uncomfortable
- 14:37Speaker 3: with time. Is like just learning how to roop the
- 14:38Speaker 3: BANDI off and like closing eyes and jumping into the
- 14:41Speaker 3: cold waters, you know, just like being able to just
- 14:43Speaker 3: do the thing and just trusting that you'll be exposed
- 14:46Speaker 3: to what you need to be exposed to within yourself
- 14:48Speaker 3: to overcome what it is that's actually holding you back
- 14:51Speaker 3: from being yourself, being free, being feminine, feeling flowy, feeling
- 14:55Speaker 3: sensual again in your body, and reconnecting back to yourself and.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Hard doesn't mean that you can't do it. I was
- 15:02Speaker 1: just saying.
- 15:02Speaker 2: With my contemporary dance classes, also got back into temporary
- 15:05Speaker 2: and it's been twenty one years since I've.
- 15:07Speaker 1: Done that style, and it is so challenging.
- 15:10Speaker 2: I could do weights all day every day. This is
- 15:12Speaker 2: like next level fitness, next level coordination. The jumping, the flicking,
- 15:18Speaker 2: the timing of the music. They're bringing the emotion to
- 15:20Speaker 2: every move. It's so mentally and physically and emotionally like
- 15:25Speaker 2: you have to give it all. I found that really
- 15:27Speaker 2: difficult to get into, but also enjoyed every minute of it. Yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 2: it's so weird that two things can coexist. And I
- 15:33Speaker 2: get really frustrated when I can't get a move because
- 15:35Speaker 2: I just want to get it so badly, and I'm
- 15:37Speaker 2: also having the time of my life. And I use
- 15:39Speaker 2: that frustration of like, okay, use that fuel and that
- 15:41Speaker 2: anger and that fire to like go hard and try again.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Like some days, at the end of my lesson, if
- 15:46Speaker 2: I haven't got the whole routine, I'm like again again again,
- 15:50Speaker 2: I'm not leaving until I do this whole routine and
- 15:52Speaker 2: I don't make a mistake, because if I'm leaving and
- 15:54Speaker 2: I feel shit, like I'm so determined and I just
- 15:57Speaker 2: like put all of that, not negative, but that frustration
- 16:00Speaker 2: into good use. And I think with the Heels class
- 16:04Speaker 2: that it feels different because you really have to just
- 16:06Speaker 2: go in there and you're going there to have a
- 16:08Speaker 2: good time. You're not going there to compete. You're not
- 16:10Speaker 2: going into a dance competition. Everyone's focus on their own
- 16:12Speaker 2: body and their own moves. Like no one's really looking
- 16:15Speaker 2: at you except when they're filming you. And you don't
- 16:16Speaker 2: even have to be filmed. That's optional, Like most girls
- 16:18Speaker 2: do it because they want to watch back and like
- 16:20Speaker 2: you can see where you could improve or yeah, maybe
- 16:22Speaker 2: add a heavlick or whatever, but you really are just
- 16:24Speaker 2: going there to have a good time and connect with yourself.
- 16:26Speaker 2: And even as a mum, it's just so nice each
- 16:28Speaker 2: week to have a night that I get to go
- 16:30Speaker 2: with my girlfriends and go and to a dance class
- 16:32Speaker 2: and we grab dinner and it's just that real girly
- 16:34Speaker 2: time and I really come back feeling so filled up
- 16:37Speaker 2: and recharge. And you know, when you look after yourself
- 16:39Speaker 2: and you do things that really light you up, that
- 16:41Speaker 2: just overflows to your family.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's so cool.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I love showing my kids my dance routunes too.
- 16:46Speaker 2: They know how much dance like makes me happy, and
- 16:48Speaker 2: I want to be the role model for them to
- 16:50Speaker 2: find hobbies that makes them feel like that too.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Can't just tell them to do that, like I've got.
- 16:53Speaker 4: To do that, yes, you knowurely by example, Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 2: I could say, well, go to a hobby. It's really
- 16:57Speaker 2: important you exercise and do all the things. It's like, cool, mom,
- 16:59Speaker 2: you're not doing it.
- 17:00Speaker 4: What are you doing?
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:01Speaker 2: And I'm like no, I'm always going to show them
- 17:03Speaker 2: the way when it comes to that and how important hobbies,
- 17:06Speaker 2: especially like physical things that involves are moving their body,
- 17:09Speaker 2: so it's so important.
- 17:10Speaker 4: I love that.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:11Speaker 3: Something that Misha said actually in a dance class that
- 17:13Speaker 3: we went to recently was she goes, I'm not looking
- 17:16Speaker 3: for the person who is going all out and like
- 17:19Speaker 3: thinking about the moves. She's like, I'm looking at the
- 17:21Speaker 3: person's face who's enjoying themselves. And I thought that was
- 17:24Speaker 3: really cool because it shifted something in my mind of
- 17:26Speaker 3: like am I actually enjoying the moves or am I
- 17:29Speaker 3: thinking about trying to get it right?
- 17:31Speaker 1: Yes, and trying to look a certain way, trying to look.
- 17:32Speaker 3: A certain way, like oh okay, what would happen if
- 17:35Speaker 3: I were to just feel into the move and actually
- 17:37Speaker 3: be here to enjoying myself and to feel into my
- 17:39Speaker 3: body and the way that it naturally moves, instead of
- 17:42Speaker 3: trying to force myself to do something and get in
- 17:44Speaker 3: my head about not getting it right.
- 17:45Speaker 4: It's like, no, it's not what it's for.
- 17:47Speaker 3: And I love that about what she said, because she
- 17:49Speaker 3: was just like, you're here to enjoy yourself. Maybe you've
- 17:51Speaker 3: never done this before in your life, maybe you've come
- 17:53Speaker 3: in here for years. Either way, I want to see
- 17:55Speaker 3: how much you're going to enjoy yourself in this class.
- 17:57Speaker 3: And I just thought that was so cool.
- 17:59Speaker 1: That's really cool.
- 17:59Speaker 2: A common question comes through for me to I don't
- 18:01Speaker 2: know if girls, is it in your inboxes, Like oh
- 18:02Speaker 2: my gosh, I can't even walk in heells dancing heels.
- 18:05Speaker 2: When I was more heavily pregnised, I didn't wear heels. Yeah,
- 18:08Speaker 2: and there was times where I had a heel that broke,
- 18:09Speaker 2: so I just went their feet and you don't have
- 18:11Speaker 2: to wear heels. Same with the girls that were Laudree,
- 18:13Speaker 2: you don't have to wear Laingdree. When they just started
- 18:15Speaker 2: wearing more Laundree style outfits like only the last couple
- 18:19Speaker 2: of months. Before that, I was an active wear every
- 18:20Speaker 2: single class until I realized I was like the only
- 18:22Speaker 2: one inactive wear. But I just didn't feel quite comfortable
- 18:24Speaker 2: to go in laundre yet. So I just want to
- 18:26Speaker 2: active wear. Yeah, so whatever you're comfortable with is perfect.
- 18:29Speaker 2: You don't have to do what every other girl's doing.
- 18:31Speaker 2: And also the girls that go on their g strings
- 18:33Speaker 2: and bras, I'm like, fuck yeah, yeah, I love.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Her because they feel safe and confident aspiring.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yeah, Like you know, no matter like I said before,
- 18:39Speaker 2: no matter what they walk alive with their size, or
- 18:41Speaker 2: how long they've been dancing for, they're just there to
- 18:44Speaker 2: like express in what they wear and how they move, and.
- 18:47Speaker 1: We need more of that.
- 18:48Speaker 4: I agree.
- 18:48Speaker 1: You watch the little kids dance, like when I watched
- 18:50Speaker 1: Tyler dance. Yeah, she's just like she's living.
- 18:53Speaker 2: It's just like her whole body's moving like there's no
- 18:55Speaker 2: thought of it and she's just going with whatever her
- 18:57Speaker 2: body does. It's so beautiful to watch because she's not
- 18:59Speaker 2: in here. Yeah, she's not in her head, she's fully
- 19:01Speaker 2: in her body, just listening to the sound of the music.
- 19:03Speaker 4: Now I want to go to a dance class I know,
- 19:05Speaker 4: get me the energy.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So after this episode aka now go to our social media,
- 19:11Speaker 2: go and check out the clues.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Have a guess, but be specific.
- 19:15Speaker 4: Yes please just say dancing. Don't think about it.
- 19:18Speaker 1: Be specific as.
- 19:18Speaker 2: To what you think could be coming. As always, it
- 19:21Speaker 2: is going to be limited spots. Thanks for listening, guys,
