- 0:02SPEAKER_01: All right, everybody, welcome to another episode of Wellness Wednesday.
- 0:06SPEAKER_01: It is always an honor to be hosting something special with Wellness Wednesday.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: We started this about four years ago and really bringing health topics and conversations to the table, really wrapped around activation.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: And if you're not familiar with activation, you're definitely going to learn more about it tonight.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: But I have the honor of hosting.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: My name is Marilyn Marisic.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: I am here in the Pacific Northwest of Washington State.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: It's a beautiful day today, out my window.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: I hope it is where you are as well.
- 0:35SPEAKER_01: But I have been in the wellness space now for about 20 years and just really a wellness advocator, a wellness warrior.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: And really my own health journey is what brought me into that space.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: And in all likelihood, if you're listening or watching, you probably are interested because you know that doing better with your health knowledge is power.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: And so we always are trying to educate and bring new topics to the table.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: But I'm very excited about the topic today.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: We are literally going to be talking about oxidative stress, the hidden stress shaping how we age.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: And I am really excited about our guest that we've got here today.
- 1:13SPEAKER_01: I actually saw something that she had done just really honing in on the conversation of Protonum NRF2, which really addresses oxidative stress.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: So we're going to dive into that tonight.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: But I I love Nikki.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Nikki Elsing, our guest tonight.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: She's just an absolute gem of a person.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: And she has so much knowledge behind her and is so well spoken.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: You guys are going to enjoy hearing from her tonight.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: So knowledgeable.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: But let me just read you her bio a little bit, and then I'm going to have her just tell you a little bit more about herself.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: But Nikki Elsing is a registered dietitian, nutritionist, and certified wellness coach who has spent more than 25 years in health, wellness, nutrition, disease prevention, and integrative care.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: Perfect to have here in this conversation today.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: So, Nikki, literally so glad to have you here.
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Thank you for joining us in this conversation.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: But tell us a little bit more about yourself.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: What made you so passionate about wellness and just kind of what brought you to this space?
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: We're kind of sharing in the same space together, but what brought you here?
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: Tell us more about yourself.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you, Marilyn.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited to be here and great, just a great topic to be able to share with everyone.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I spent a lot of my career in prevention, wellness, understanding the impact of if we would work on taking care of ourselves, we can have that influence over our genes.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: We're not stuck with whatever grandma and grandpa and your aunt and uncle or mom and dad had.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: And so being able to modify that and teach people how things can be different for them was really, really important to me.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: And it's really exciting to think that, you know, all the years ago when I was picking my path, that this is where I ended up landing after many, many years working within a variety of systems and just excited to be able to not have any limits, being able to present to anyone anywhere.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: And it's been really exciting.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: And I absolutely love that.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: I love that too.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: And you are a blessing to many.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: So I just I'm so glad that you're here.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: And really, I think you there are so many people that are listening that are in the health and wellness space that also contribute to this conversation of activation.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Once you know, you know.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you know, you know.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: If you're listening, if you know, you know how special this is.
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: So let's kind of jump into this topic a little bit.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: So I've got another question for you, but why is oxidative stress such an important place to begin?
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: That's kind of our topic tonight.
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: But what is it?
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: Where does it come from?
- 3:51SPEAKER_01: And why should we care, even if we feel healthy?
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: Why is it such a big deal?
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Buzzword for sure.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: I love that because you know what?
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: Sometimes, I mean, I'm getting older now, but for years, I didn't even, you know, think about it.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: You don't really think about how this is directly impacting your every single thing and your future as you're looking out.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: And so being able to think that there's something that we can change, I think a lot of times people are very familiar with inflammation.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: You know, that's been on the cover of magazines and drawn a lot of attention.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: And now oxidative stress is something that we're seeing more and more often.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: And knowing that this is root cause and this is influential on every different organ system, different disease conditions, oxidative stress is influencing all of those things.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: And so years ago, let's see, 15 years ago, when I was really digging more into this, and actually for more majority of my career, I taught people how to be able to lower inflammation, lower oxidative stress through nutrition and lifestyle habits.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: And then knowing that the public is getting more information about what oxidative stress is, and realizing that's basically rusting from the inside out, basically causing more of us this little like switch to flip to be able to make us more vulnerable to different disease conditions.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: And I don't like it.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: We don't like it, and we want to be able to do some controlling of this uncontrolled oxidative stress.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: And it's so powerful.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: And I love the fact that our bodies are not defenseless, they have a defense system built in.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: And so I love that we're gonna kind of dive deeper into this.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: So, can you help us now just like dive into the cell?
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: Let's have that conversation.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: I really kind of want to hand it over to you as you kind of help educate our audience and let's just talk about that, how we can help our bodies help itself.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm going to start with some topics about nutrigenomics first because I feel like I kind of brought it up a little bit when I was mentioning that we're not stuck with whatever grandpa and grandma gave us or mom and dad gave us.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: We have the opportunity to modify that through our daily behaviors, our lifestyle, the choices that we're making, nutrition.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: And I'm just going to share a PowerPoint here with you to help you guys get a better idea of where I'm coming from.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: And it's just kind of nice to be able to get that explanation and see what we can do to be able to discuss this and have it make a little bit more sense for you.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: So one second here.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: So remember Nutrigenomics, this is a potentially very complicated conversation, but believe me, when we're done tonight, I'm going to give you some easy ways to be able to incorporate nutrigenomics into your daily life.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: So we're looking at this scientific study of how different food components, nutrients are interacting with these genes that you've been given, right?
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: To influence their expression, different molecular pathways, and overall health.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: And when we're looking at this, we know that this is very important because every single day that we're doing anything merely, we are running across a gob of different chemicals all over in the environment.
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: And we could do everything we possibly could to try to limit exposure and we're still going to get exposed.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: And we know that when there's more of these environmental toxins, we have more oxidative stress.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: And so we want to make sure that we're being able to pay attention to this because oxidative stress leads to inflammation, and it's just kind of this snowball effect there.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: And so, what is the solution?
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: Well, a solution is being able to look at prevention, right?
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: We all love to be able to think about prevention.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: If you're feeling that you're at the point where it's more of a reaction type of situation, that's okay too.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: I think it's never too late.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Let's just do what we can to be able to take care of ourselves.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: And a lot of these steps that you see, you hear about, right?
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: People talking about a nutrient-dense diet that's less processed, more whole foods, getting physical activity, managing your weight, doing what you can to limit toxins and chemicals, managing stress, not smoking.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Sometimes these ones on the bottom we don't think about as much.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Like social connections is such a big part of a healthy lifestyle.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Healthy gut microbiome, right?
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: Sometimes nobody knows a microbiome.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: It's kind of a weird word, but just thinking healthy guts.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: And then that bottom middle one is what I want to talk about today.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: So getting to that root cause with nutrigenomics.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: And again, this is our oxidative stress conversation.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: And so I'm so glad to be here to be able to talk a little bit more about it.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Now, when we think about uncontrolled oxidative stress, that's what's leading to this free radical damage.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And as you see from this slide, it is your whole system wide, right?
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: Throughout your entire body.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: Look on here, and you can probably see something that you might be dealing with, or your family member might be dealing with, or you don't want anything to do with, right?
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: And so knowing that if we can influence oxidative stress, we have at that cellular level, we have a chance to be able to influence over 200 chronic diseases.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: And this isn't just me saying this.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is talking about PubMed.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: You see on here the slide, I have that up there because that's the National Library of Medicines library or or spot they're putting all of their research, right?
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: And so being able to know that all of us can hop in there and type in different things in the search engines, just like the medical professionals that care for us, they do their research here too to make major medical decisions.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: And so knowing where this information comes is really, really one of the things that we'll talk about later is trying to figure out if there's a way that's simple to be able to influence this oxidative stress.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: So when we're thinking about, you know, what are they focusing on?
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: What are they working on studying?
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: They're trying to be able to identify different areas of, you know, the body that we can be able to have this influence to lower that oxidative stress.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: And all of these universities are coming together to try to figure out what they can do to be able to have this impact.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: And so when we're thinking about PubMed, like I was just saying, for fun, you guys, this is crazy to think back merely 15 years ago.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: I would sit and I typed in PubMed because I spent quite a bit of time on PubMed because I evaluated people's supplements, gave recommendations, looked for interactions, all that stuff.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: That's what I did on the daily.
- 10:49SPEAKER_00: And and trying to help people learn how to have the biggest impact with the least amount of product, right?
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: And not to have something that's going to mix together and cause problems.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so 15 years ago, when I would go to PubMed and I would type in oxidative stress, there were 86,000 published studies on PubMed.
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: And I just did this again a little bit ago.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: And you'll see at the very top there are 415,000 studies are on PubMed.gov when you search oxidative stress.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: And so, I mean, just saying that early, I mean, you can tell me right there that obviously this is something that people are like paying attention to.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: They know it's important, and they need to figure out a way to address it.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: So, another thing that I did just for fun, because remember, I was talking about inflammation.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: I was talking about oxidative stress and both of them together.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: I threw them both together and put it in there.
- 11:47SPEAKER_00: And there was about 94,000 studies on inflammation and oxidative stress.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: So, one of the things that we're thinking about when we're talking about these things is how do we deal with oxidative stress?
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: How do we make a difference in our health to be able to see a change and influence that?
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: And some of these things that we're fighting against on a daily basis, we can't feel, right?
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, you don't feel exposure.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: I suppose maybe if you breathe it in, you feel it.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: If anybody has some of the seasonal allergies to field work, that's me right now.
- 12:20SPEAKER_00: I'm feeling that.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: But otherwise, you don't really notice the things that are causing trouble within your body.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: And I like to say those are the things that are below the band-aid.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: And that's what we're trying to do.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: We're not looking to put something over oxidative stress to cover it up.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: We're looking to get below the band-aid to the root cause and make that difference.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: And that's what I want to talk to you a little bit about tonight, too.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: One of the things, though, is when we're looking at something like that, we want to make sure it's something that's in a healthy form, right?
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: That's not putting other things that we don't want anything to do with into our body.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: So, one of the things that's really important to me as I was looking for different ways to be able to help people have the biggest impact in their health, how to be able to bring neutrogenomics into people's kitchen and to make it so they could have it be easier and get ahead of that fog and fire and everything going on inside to be able to make it simple for them.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: Because maybe some of you are thinking you've talked to a dietitian before, and sometimes it's hard the things that they're talking to you about, right?
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: And so one of the things that we want to address tonight too is Marile, when I'm looking at that, I found this.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: I went up, I was 15 years ago looking for solutions to be able to think of ways to be able to make a difference and have a big impact.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: And I learned about activation.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: And this is important to me because through this activation, I learned about nerf to activation and supplementation versus activation.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: And so when we think of supplementation, that has been my life, my career, right?
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: Like I said, I was there to be able to help people fill in those gaps, how to be able to add in nutrients, kind of giving passive support to people and trying to figure out a way to be able to be more effective and have a bigger influence and not have people feel so overwhelmed, right?
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: I was their resource for that.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: And then 15 years ago, I learned about activation and I thought, holy smokes, I need to sit here and look into this a little bit, Marile, because this is such a big, big deal.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: What if this did what those studies were talking about?
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: What if we were able to make this difference in a simple way and activate different protective pathways in our body?
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: This could be the answer.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: So I sat down, I looked into it, and I wanted to see what all this fuss is about that people were starting to talk a little bit more about.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: So when we're looking at being able to target root cause, like I said, having science-backed research based was extremely important to me.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: I needed to know if I was gonna stand there and put my name on it and tell people that I love and care about this, I wanted to make sure it's gonna make a difference, right?
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: We want to make sure it's doing what it's supposed to do, getting our money's worth, so to speak, and being able to activate those protective pathways like when we were younger.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: So here we are.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Nerf2 activation.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: What do we know about this and how does it influence that oxidative stress level?
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: Well, a couple of slides back, you saw that we have this pro tandem NRF2, right?
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: This is a NERF2 activator.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: And so that's our key to be able to get in there and modify and have an influence on oxidative stress with one pill a day.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: So let me tell you a little bit more about NRF2 or Nerf2 activation.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: So Nerf 2 works really, really good when we're younger.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: And then as we age, it slows down and we start to have some of these, you know, the knees are creaking as I'm going down the stairs.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Maybe my hair is a little bit gray, all the things that happen as we age.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: And Nerf 2 also declines.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: And so it's controlling antioxidant production, detoxification, and people are talking a lot about detoxification nowadays, right?
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: When we think about what people are concerned about, they're looking at trying to, you know, make sure their food is clean, making sure we're not having all these plastic containers and all of those things that we're really looking at, which I'm super proud of everyone, because that's a step in the right direction.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: And then we also know that NERF2 controls the inflammatory response.
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: And you guys have already heard me talk a lot about that.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: And when we think about what it is that's making that difference, like I mentioned, we have our Protandum NRF2 synergizer.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: So 15 years ago, I'm looking into this, I come across ProTandum, I'm digging into Nerf 2 activation, and I am absolutely blown away because I could tell you the things that I would like you to do when you went home, right?
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: As a dietitian.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: And I know that some of you would do absolutely everything, and some of you wouldn't.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: And it's not always going to be easy to do absolutely everything I'm talking about.
- 17:18SPEAKER_00: We're just working on it.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: We're all works in progress, including myself.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: But if I could have you take a one pro tandem pill, the research is showing that it lowers oxidative stress by an average of 40% in 30 days.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: That's doing even more than what I'm telling you to do.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: What if you pair that with a healthy lifestyle and good nutrition?
- 17:42SPEAKER_00: Took care of yourself, like think of the potential right there.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: So we're talking about supporting natural cell repair, rejuvenation processes.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: And one of my absolute favorite things is this National Institute on Aging is showing that it increases the median lifespan of male mice by 7%.
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Well, I would love to live longer, but I also want to make sure I have good quality of life.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: And what if I can put those two together?
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: That makes me excited.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: And we know that when we're looking at putting these things together, each individual ingredient you maybe have in items at your house right now.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, Marilee, you could look in your cupboard and you could see some of these ingredients there, right?
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: And you might think, hey, I'm covered.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: I know I have turmeric on my counter or whatever.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Well, guess what?
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: If you put it in the combination that we have as our patented formula, it can have that huge red bar for an effect on how good it's doing in your body.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: And I want that.
- 18:44SPEAKER_00: And I want it to be easy.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: I want them to be able to snuggle up next to each other and make each other work even better than they do individually.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: And I know that because they're in small amounts, I don't have to worry about interactions and all of the things.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: So really, really fun.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: So let's put on our little scientist hat for a couple minutes, if you guys don't mind.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Let's talk a little bit about genes.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I know I told you a little bit about neutrigenomics and genes, right?
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: And influence of genes.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: Well, these are different genes that are activated by NRF2.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: And when we look at these, you see like 23 genes are involved in antioxidant production.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: 25 genes are encoding an enzyme that's essential for detoxification of xenobiotics.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Hello, that's another one, Marilee, that people are talking a ton about right now, right?
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: People want to be able to combat these things that we're struggling with.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: Downregulating this pro-inflammatory genes and pro-fibrotic genes, like so many good things, scar tissue, all that.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: So the main things that we're looking at are these four.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: So protandom is increasing antioxidant enzymes.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: And remember, this isn't Nikki saying this, this isn't Marilee saying this.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: This is research proven to show that it's doing these things.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: So let's kind of break these down really quick.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: I'll keep it pretty simple.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: And the superoxide dismutase is a big one, right?
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: What is it?
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: And why do I need to worry about it?
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: Well, it's destroying the superoxide, which is actually a really toxic free radical.
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: And you guys maybe can understand that a free radical is not a friendly fella, right?
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: It's something that we don't really want around doing things.
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: And it's repairing damage that's done to the cells by this.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: It's a powerful anti-inflammatory enzyme, anti-cancer, all of those things.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Sign me up.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: Guess what?
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: One Protonum Nerf 2 has been scientifically proven to increase SOD by 34%.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: Then we're looking at the next one, which is catalase.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: And catalase actually converts hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen because hydrogen peroxide is a toxic thing to cells.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: And it's extremely powerful.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: It's converting 40 millimmolecules of hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen every second.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: And some of us, maybe not everybody, but some of us love that we can get more oxygen into our upper layers of our skin, or maybe we don't like our gray hair, whatever.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: Maybe not everybody, but knowing that protonum nerf two has been scientifically proven to increase catalase by 54%.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: Exciting.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Now I love this one, hemoxygenase one.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: So hemox one targets inflammation, neurodegeneration, carcinogenesis, and atherosclerosis.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: And protonum nerf two has been scientifically proven to increase hemox one by 600 to 900%.
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: 600 to 900%.
- 21:48SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: So thinking about that influence on those four, what if it just did that?
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, even if we took one of these slides, I'm in love anyway, right?
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: And then being able to Have that even better is is so much fun.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: So I kind of saved the best one for last, even though I know I said I love the other ones, Marilee.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: And I'm I'm sure you're laughing because I I have so many of these things I like.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: I'm sure you feel the same way.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: For sure.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: So when we look at this glutathione, we have the master of all of these antioxidants.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: And so it is the most potent antioxidant in our body.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: It's a master detoxifier.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: It's essential for phase two detoxification in your liver.
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: It removes heavy metals, antibiotics.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: We've heard that already.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Cancer prevention, immune system support.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: Yes, I'll take it.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: Improves insulin resistance, which is a big, big problem right now.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: A lot of people have some insulin resistant issues and has a significant neurological protection.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: And so why not love glutathione, right?
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: And what if we could have more glutathione?
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: And we know that protonum nerve 2 has been scientifically proven to increase that glutathione by 300%.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Big, big one right there.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: So when we're looking at the difference that we can make, we're thinking about how to be able to deal with this, how to be able to make a difference.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: I'm pretty sure I just showed you a ton of reasons why lowering oxidative stress is important, but also why you don't have to be stressed out about being able to have the option to lower it, because we have that opportunity, right able to be able to get into people's hands.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Like I said, bringing it right into your kitchen and your bathroom, whatever.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: And so knowing when we're looking at the importance of the NRF2 pathway and the difference that it can make, remember you can activate that through a lot of different lifestyle modifications and giving yourself that extra ability in a significant amount, like that 40% in 30 days, by taking a pro tandem daily.
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: And so let's just summarize a little bit here quick mirrorly if we have a few more minutes.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: Being able to look at the NRF2 signaling pathway is emerging, right?
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, we're always learning more, but it's getting a lot of attention.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: It's a critical and principal factor in the protection against cancer, neurodegeneration, inflammation.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: We propose that nerf 2 plays a pivotal role in longevity and in determination of health span.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: That's amazing.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: And that's an amazing article, actually, to look over and read and review.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: One of my favorites to be able just to learn more about Nerf 2 activation in general.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: And then also looking at this as an extraordinary preventive breakthrough in the history of medicine.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: And you guys can read the rest on there, you know, thinking about what we can do.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: Nerf 2, a master regulator of detoxification and also antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and other cytoprotective mechanisms.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: So fun.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: Like there are so many things.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: And, you know, every time I meet with people, and even as a as a nutritionist and dietitian, just being able to give them hope, options, things to think about, and ways to be able to improve their health is really, really important because we all need that, right?
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: And so let's just do some summary here.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: Um, when we're looking at nerve 2 activation and what are the significant things that are benefits related to that, not just the reducing the oxidative stress levels, like we talked about.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: Remember, that is rusting from the inside out of your body and that root cause there, but we're also influencing those pro-inflammatory genes, the detoxification, which I've said many times, increasing the production of those antioxidant enzymes.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: I mean, if we can make our own antioxidants, that's amazing.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: And protecting against neurodegenerative diseases, cancer protection, cardiovascular disease, we are on the right track.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: And knowing that inflammation was a big name and a big thing, and a lot of people talking about that.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: Oxidative stress is something you're all going to hear a lot more about.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: But knowing that we have some options and knowing that our own antioxidants as they fight to protect us are more than a million times more powerful than those that you supplement with.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: So taking a protonum nerve too helps you make those antioxidants.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: So incredible.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: Honestly, looking at this, I am blown away constantly at just the science behind this.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: Truly.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: And I love everything that you shared there.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: I just got two more questions to throw away before we wrap this up.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: So I really, and so jotting this down, like when you look at all the science, what do you think people most misunderstand about nerf two and activation?
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: Well, one of the things is I feel like people are assuming that it's very difficult.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: And it can be, right?
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's some different things as you're looking and trying to understand.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: It can be complicated as you're looking through that and needing to be able to have options to be able to learn more about it and not such a complicated form.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: That's why I like those that paper, like The Guardian of Lifespan that I had just referenced a little bit.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: That's a great conversation, the therapeutic potential of NRF2, just learning more about what that is.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: And it's really activating your body's own survival mechanisms.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: But the really neat thing is that people are paying more attention, but they're also realizing the impact that protandem has on that.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: And so they're researching that and getting that into the hands of people so they're able to make it as a simple way to be able to activate their nerve too.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I agree.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: Well said.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: Well, one of the sayings, and we we I don't know if we said it here tonight, but we definitely have a saying that it all starts with yellow, that yellow tablet, the pro tandem NRF2.
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: And we also have a saying here on Wellness Wednesday in order to get well fixed the cell.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: I know it's just so centralized, like root cause.
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: And I love that you have been featuring that tonight.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: But so we say that, but why is ProTandum NRF2 such a foundational piece?
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: Even as we layer other activation products and healthy habits, why is it foundational?
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: We kind of covered it, but just kind of summarized.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sure.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Well, and I love that starts with yellow because that just really kind of peaks it in your brain and makes you think it's simple, it's easy.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: And you're right, I can take a pill every day.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: That's easy for me to do.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: But also knowing that we're looking at self-care is cell care, right?
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: And knowing when we get to that root cause, I mean, literally, when I sit and think about what I could do to be able to have such an impact on my cells right now, does anything really come to mind for you?
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: But when I think about taking this and having this as my foundational product and being able to know that I am working on activating that product that can lower the oxidative stress that significantly and even further with continued use, I want to start there.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: And then as I'm looking at what other options, because this is so systemic-wide, like having that influence on your whole body because it is a cellular level, I can look at other things to be able to layer on top of that, but always starting with that Protandum NRF2 as my baseline, my non-negotiable, like I'm gonna do everything I can to never run out of that.
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: I'm with you.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: It's an absolute non-negotiable, and I think it's amazing.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: You've been taking it, you've you've learned about it 15 years ago.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: I learned about it with an ABC primetime report 11 years ago, actually, this month, 11 years ago.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: And I am still floored to this day.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: And I'm blown away at the amount of studies, and I think it's amazing that we have it's oxidative stress, it's kind of a buzzword.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: Yet here we have in our hands something that is so significant to help people, and it still blows blows me out of the water every time.
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: And I have loved this conversation tonight, Nikki.
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: And I I know that our listeners have really learned a lot, benefited from this in huge ways.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: So I wanted to say thank you so much.
- 30:15SPEAKER_01: And I hope that you will join us back again on Wellness Wednesday for more conversation in and around just activation in general.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: But I just want to say thank you so much for joining us tonight and to our listeners, thank you so much for being here.
- 30:29SPEAKER_01: And I want to just direct you back to the person that invited you to listen to this conversation for more information.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: And always, please just join us here again next week as we continue to have more conversations around activation and the exciting, exciting benefits of that.
- 30:45SPEAKER_01: So thank you so much again, Nikki.
- 30:48SPEAKER_01: Thank you for being here tonight.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: So appreciate you.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: Thank you, everyone, for joining us.
- 30:53SPEAKER_00: Thank you, everyone.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: Enjoy the rest of your week.
