- 0:00Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:47Hi Adam here. You're about to listen to a
- 0:50hypnosis session that is all about reducing alcohol.
- 0:55Not eliminating alcohol, just reducing it significantly.
- 1:01And that's because a lot of people don't.
- 1:03Have the desire. To be teetotal, they don't want
- 1:06to be a non drinker, but they are aware that excessive
- 1:10drinking can lead to physical issues, health issues.
- 1:16It could be weight issues as well because there's a lot of
- 1:18calories in alcoholic drinks and for some.
- 1:21People. Beyond a certain threshold, they
- 1:24might do things they regret and that might be texting someone,
- 1:28it might be saying something, it might be doing something that
- 1:31they later regret or are embarrassed by.
- 1:35So this is about reducing the amount of alcohol consumed.
- 1:40And I was working with a client that actually did quite like non
- 1:44alcoholic drinks, particularly non alcoholic lagers.
- 1:48So we have here a hypnosis session linked to an idea, which
- 1:53is a behavioral psychology idea and that is doing certain things
- 1:58differently that then can become an automatic habit.
- 2:03And this particular client, given that they liked alcohol
- 2:06free drinks, wanted to make the first drink in certain
- 2:10situations, non alcoholic, giving them the option but
- 2:14without the obligation to having an alcoholic drink.
- 2:18And typically when they would go out, they would go out for
- 2:20maybe, you know, 3 or 4 drinks. So making the first drink,
- 2:25perhaps even the second non alcoholic, or then alternating
- 2:29drinks from alcoholic to non alcoholic would actually mean
- 2:32that they would reduce the amount of alcohol they consume
- 2:35by a dramatic amount, giving them some of the benefits that
- 2:39they wanted. A clearer.
- 2:40Head the next day, more energy and a feeling of being able to
- 2:45concentrate and focus more. So if you can connect and
- 2:49resonate with any of those benefits, this might be a useful
- 2:53session for you. I have lots of other recordings
- 2:57about being a non drinker quitting alcohol for good.
- 3:02This isn't about that, it's just about reducing the amount by
- 3:05introducing non alcoholic drinks and slowing the speed of
- 3:09drinking. Obviously linked to hypnosis.
- 3:14This was created for an individual entirely customized
- 3:18to their situation and and their goals.
- 3:21And if you like the idea of working with me directly, that's
- 3:24also a possibility for you. If you look in the description,
- 3:28you will see a link to book a free consultation call where we
- 3:32can have a chat about working together.
- 3:35But for now, you might benefit from this hypnosis session.
- 3:38And the ideal way to get the most value from this session is
- 3:41to find a quiet, comfortable place, ideally the kind of place
- 3:46where you won't be interrupted or disturbed, and then relax and
- 3:49just enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:38you breathe in, breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath.
- 4:46And as you exhale, just allow your eyelids to feel more and
- 4:56more comfortably relaxed, feeling that tension, stress and
- 5:02worries, but just leaving your body every time you exhale,
- 5:13breathing in and breathing out. And as you get comfortable now,
- 5:23you might begin to notice your breathing, perhaps a little
- 5:29slower, or perhaps a little deeper.
- 5:37Or maybe it just stays the same because there's really no right
- 5:44or wrong way, just your own way of settling in.
- 5:58And some people, when they listen, begin to feel a slight
- 6:05heaviness of the eyelids or a pleasant relaxation through the
- 6:14shoulders, while others simply notice how thoughts can drift
- 6:25just like leaves on a gentle river floating along.
- 6:34And you might already be wondering just how deeply you'll
- 6:41relax today, because every breath you take can guide you
- 6:51deeper, deeper and even further into this gentle learning state.
- 7:06And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 7:14And the more relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe.
- 7:19And as your body relaxes, your imagination awakens, and in that
- 7:32place inside that has awoken, that place that knows how to
- 7:38protect you, how to guide you, perhaps you can begin to explore
- 7:48an idea. An idea that gives you more
- 7:53freedom, not less. Because some people, when they
- 8:07think about a drink, they find it interesting to simply say to
- 8:15themselves, not right now, not yet, or maybe later.
- 8:27And somehow those simple words create a spacious feeling
- 8:35inside, as if a window opens, letting in fresh air.
- 8:48And you may find that it's surprisingly satisfying to reach
- 8:55first for a different choice. Crisp, cold, non alcoholic beer.
- 9:08Maybe there's one that comes to mind.
- 9:12See the colour of the label and the name, even the sound it
- 9:19makes when the bottle is opened. Or perhaps it's an alcohol free
- 9:30gin with tonic or a refreshing minty virgin mojito.
- 9:40And your body, your unconscious mind, can realise how cravings
- 9:50can soften and melt simply by making that first choice a
- 9:59little different. From this point onwards, you
- 10:06will find that because delay isn't deprivation, you connect
- 10:14it with more freedom, more choices.
- 10:20You get to have your cake and eat it because you get to still
- 10:26enjoy alcohol every now and then while losing weight and while
- 10:33improving your health. Because every time you have a
- 10:40non alcoholic drink, first you are reminding yourself that you
- 10:47have the freedom to choose on your terms in your time.
- 10:57This isn't a project to manage, this is you enjoying your free
- 11:05time. And every time you have a non
- 11:10alcoholic drink first, you are proving to yourself that you can
- 11:15enjoy your free time without needing alcohol and that gives
- 11:22you more choices, not less. The more you practice delaying,
- 11:32the more effortless it becomes. Each pause, each moment of maybe
- 11:41later feat was like a small but powerful success.
- 11:50And what if small successes build into strong, powerful
- 11:57habits, The kind of habits that just feel like they've always
- 12:03been that way, That you don't need to think about following
- 12:10rules and regulations, but when you have that first drink as a
- 12:16non alcoholic drink, you increase the probability that
- 12:21the second will also be non alcoholic.
- 12:29And what if maybe by the time it comes to that third drink, you
- 12:36just don't want to have any alcohol at that point anyway?
- 12:44And you might even notice how certain people feel that if
- 12:52they're drinking, that you have to drink also.
- 12:58But you also know from past reasons and explanations just
- 13:06how certain people respond reasonably to credible reasons.
- 13:14Because they do, don't they? When someone says I'm pacing
- 13:20myself, I'm good for now, I'm driving, I have a condition, I
- 13:32have something important to do tomorrow and I want to be alert.
- 13:39People tend to nod and accept and you you feel completely
- 13:49comfortable expressing your reasons when you want to easily,
- 13:57naturally without explanation if you don't feel like it.
- 14:07Just because you can give a reason doesn't mean you have to.
- 14:13You have permission to do what you want to do, irrespective of
- 14:23whether other people are OK with that or not.
- 14:31And in the places you go or the places you find yourself when
- 14:36you would normally drink, your mind might already be imagining
- 14:42future moments. Perhaps you can imagine yourself
- 14:49at home, but before you pour that glass of wine, imagine
- 14:56reaching calmly for a bex blew from the fridge.
- 15:03Maybe you feel refreshed. Maybe it just quenches that need
- 15:10for what would have been an alcoholic drink.
- 15:16I want you to get a sense that whenever you do that, you'll
- 15:20notice how that simple choice sets the tone for what then
- 15:26follows. Or maybe you can imagine
- 15:30yourself in a pub or a restaurant where that non
- 15:35alcoholic beer feels just right to start with.
- 15:42A wise and easy choice. And perhaps you can imagine it
- 15:49feeling like it does what it needs to do.
- 15:55Quenches of thirst satisfies a craving or perhaps starts to
- 16:03turn a gauge or pull down a lever.
- 16:10I want you to get a sense then certain things don't need an off
- 16:16switch. I want you to get a sense that
- 16:20whenever you have an non alcoholic drink, your desire to
- 16:25have an alcoholic drink goes down, and whenever you have an
- 16:31alcoholic drink, the desire to have another alcoholic drink in
- 16:36a row goes down even more. So whether you drink alcohol or
- 16:44non alcohol, the more you drink the less you want to drink.
- 16:51As you feel that certain things have an automatic off switch,
- 17:00you can perhaps think of something like ATV screen or a
- 17:05laptop. After a certain amount of time,
- 17:11it automatically switches itself off.
- 17:17I want you to get a sense that your off switch will be
- 17:22automatic from the very first sip of a non alcoholic or
- 17:29alcoholic drink. It sets an automatic timer
- 17:37whereas time or drinks go by. The off switch is on its way,
- 17:45giving you the ability to enjoy an evening without feeling that
- 17:52one drink will lead to another, will lead to another, which then
- 17:56leads to feeling like a hangover the following day.
- 18:01This automatic off switch and this desire to drink non
- 18:07alcoholic drinks first means you get to enjoy an evening without
- 18:15spoiling it. I want you to imagine yourself
- 18:21at a friend's house, perhaps the kind of friend that feels that
- 18:27if they're drinking, you should be drinking too.
- 18:31But I want you to imagine yourself at this friend's house
- 18:35where the very first drink you enjoy is alcohol free.
- 18:42And maybe you give a reason and maybe you don't, but I want you
- 18:47to imagine it feels comfortable to have that non alcoholic
- 18:54drink. Maybe it gives you a sense of
- 18:59calm, satisfaction and self respect.
- 19:06A feeling that you are playing by your rules, nobody else's.
- 19:16And you know that the more you practice this, the more natural
- 19:21it becomes. Until it's just the way things
- 19:25are, automatic, effortless and free.
- 19:35Because with each not yet and each maybe later.
- 19:42And every. Not right now.
- 19:47You are teaching and training your mind a new way of feeling
- 19:52strong and in control, a new way of being free, a new way of
- 20:00enjoying life even more fully. And as the days turn into weeks
- 20:06and the weeks turn into months. The habit feels easier and
- 20:12easier. Don't be surprised if while your
- 20:18sense of freedom increases, your weight decreases, your mental
- 20:27clarity becomes sharper, and your health and vitality
- 20:33supercharges. And the more you notice these
- 20:37benefits, the more it rewards this new habit and pattern that
- 20:45you're building. Feel how good it would feel in
- 20:52advance. A new way of being free.
- 20:55A new way of enjoying life even more fully.
- 20:59Especially because you're doing it on your terms.
- 21:08And you don't need to remember everything I've said
- 21:11consciously, because your unconscious mind has already
- 21:17begun making those adjustments for you.
- 21:22You can already imagine situations before you get to
- 21:25them. Ordering, arranging or
- 21:31requesting that first non alcoholic drink.
- 21:37And it's more likely that your second drink will also be non
- 21:40alcoholic than alcoholic. These changes are happening
- 21:48inside, in just the right way, at just the right speed.
- 21:57But it's time to leave this place in your imagination and to
- 22:02return to the present. So take a deep breath in through
- 22:07your nose and out through your nose.
- 22:13Wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 22:16Start to connect and calibrate with the here and the now.
- 22:20It's very soon. I count from 1:00 to 10:00 to
- 22:23awaken you. You will awaken feeling free,
- 22:33feeling that you have choices, that you don't need willpower,
- 22:41you just need to experiment, to break some patterns until you
- 22:46find the new habit that is exactly as you would want it to
- 22:51be. Starting to account to awaken
- 22:56you. 123 Waking up 456 More alert 7-8 Open your eyes, open
- 23:04your eyes. 910 wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
