Kremlin denies second infection after reported plague death
The Kremlin and Russia's public health watchdog, Rospotrebnadzor, have firmly denied reports of a second infection following the suspicious death of a laboratory worker in Siberia. Russian authorities dismissed the social media rumors of a second person falling ill as "fake information," stating that nearly 5,000 laboratory tests performed on the deceased researcher's contacts turned up zero dangerous pathogens.
