- 0:51Constance Lavonice: I'm your host, Constance Lavonice.
- 0:55Constance Lavonice: Practice is important with any behavioral change.
- 1:00Constance Lavonice: But how many of us have acted in a way that's not congruent with our inner beliefs?
- 1:07Constance Lavonice: We say that we're confident and we try to project confidence, but underneath we're not.
- 1:15Constance Lavonice: We're successful or we look successful, but underneath we feel like a failure, or we feel as if we don't measure up.
- 1:27Constance Lavonice: We say we love ourselves and we act as if we do.
- 1:33Constance Lavonice: We say we don't care about what other people say or think about us, but underneath it all is a burden to us.
- 1:45Constance Lavonice: It's really a facade that crumbles under pressure.
- 1:51Constance Lavonice: Not only is it important to practice what you are becoming, but to also be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
- 2:02Constance Lavonice: Not the patterns and the trends of the culture, but through the word of God.
- 2:08Constance Lavonice: And Proverbs 4, verse 22 tells us that the word of God is life to those who find it and health to all the body.
- 2:21Constance Lavonice: Your mind is a part of your brain, which is a part of your body, and it applies to the way you think and the emotions that you feel.
- 2:32Constance Lavonice: Also, Matthew chapter 6 in verse 33 tells us to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you.
- 2:48Constance Lavonice: We seek first God and his reign and God's authority through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
- 2:58Constance Lavonice: And through that relationship, we have everything that we need for life and godliness to live a life, our life, in a way that's pleasing to God?
- 3:12Constance Lavonice: Does it please God for us to be confident?
- 3:15Constance Lavonice: Of course it does.
- 3:17Constance Lavonice: Successful?
- 3:19Constance Lavonice: Of course, God's way.
- 3:22Constance Lavonice: To love ourselves?
- 3:24Constance Lavonice: God is love and He first loved us.
- 3:28Constance Lavonice: Does God want us to be burdened by what others say about us or think about us?
- 3:38Constance Lavonice: No, we have freedom in Christ.
- 3:42Constance Lavonice: He came to deliver us from that.
- 3:45Constance Lavonice: We're not to be concerned about man's opinion, but about God.
- 3:52Constance Lavonice: As we begin to renew our mind with the truth of God's word, that truth begins to activate within us through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- 4:07Constance Lavonice: And we're no longer faking it until we make it, we're practicing what we already possess.
- 4:16Constance Lavonice: And if you've heard anything helpful today, share, subscribe, and text the show to let us know what's on your heart.
