- 1:22Speaker 3: Jessica Ricchi and of course the wonderful Miss Beck sayed,
- 1:27Speaker 3: can you believe we have.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Recorded a thousand episodes already?
- 1:33Speaker 4: So many episodes?
- 1:34Speaker 5: Be so real?
- 1:35Speaker 2: A thousand that's like four digits And some.
- 1:38Speaker 3: People have listened to every single one and multiple times,
- 1:41Speaker 3: because I did the maths when we got our Spotify
- 1:44Speaker 3: wrapped last year and I was like, what are you
- 1:47Speaker 3: guys doing?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Like you've listened to more than the minutes I've created.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Wow, some people have listened to it double time, and
- 1:55Speaker 3: it's actually incredible. I'd like, I cannot tell you how
- 1:58Speaker 3: grateful I am do not only be sitting here after
- 2:00Speaker 3: one thousand episodes, but just like for the community that
- 2:03Speaker 3: has been along for the right I cringe a little
- 2:06Speaker 3: bit when people say I went back to your very
- 2:08Speaker 3: first episode.
- 2:09Speaker 2: I'm like, oh no, no, baby cakes, don't do that.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Don't do that.
- 2:12Speaker 3: But we've left it up obviously because it is powerful
- 2:15Speaker 3: and it does really cool things. But my friends, while
- 2:18Speaker 3: there are no dilemmas, this week, we will be revisiting
- 2:21Speaker 3: some of our earliest memories. We're going to be sharing
- 2:23Speaker 3: an update from one of our very first money diarists
- 2:27Speaker 3: and rewarding some of our most active community members. We
- 2:30Speaker 3: are in our sentimental era and I feel like it
- 2:33Speaker 3: feels just right.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Oh, I feel emotional.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I am as well.
- 2:37Speaker 3: And because it's a special occasion, we thought it might
- 2:40Speaker 3: be fun to do things a little bit differently.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So new segment, She's Stashed the Money.
- 2:48Speaker 3: If you've been tuning in over the last few weeks,
- 2:51Speaker 3: you might have noticed a few odd sound bites working
- 2:53Speaker 3: their way into our episodes. Well, now I can finally
- 2:57Speaker 3: reveal our big plan. We've been dropping a word just
- 3:00Speaker 3: here and there that makes up a one mystery sentence.
- 3:04Speaker 3: There are five words in total, and the final word
- 3:06Speaker 3: is being revealed today right here on the Friday Drinks episode.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Why well, my friends, If you are the first person
- 3:14Speaker 3: to correctly place these words in the correct.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Order, you might just win a cool thousand dollars cash.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Once you've heard the final word, head on over to
- 3:23Speaker 3: our Instagram, where you will find the entry form in
- 3:26Speaker 3: our link in bio. There you can take a guess
- 3:29Speaker 3: at your five word sentence. If you haven't already, please
- 3:32Speaker 3: go back and listen and make sure that you write
- 3:35Speaker 3: them all down, and then you can submit your five
- 3:37Speaker 3: words sentence for a chance to win. Entries closed tomorrow,
- 3:41Speaker 3: my friend, because we want this to be quick. If
- 3:44Speaker 3: you're in the community and you have been listening to
- 3:46Speaker 3: our show, this is how we are planning to reward you.
- 3:49Speaker 2: How cool is that?
- 3:50Speaker 5: That is so cool.
- 3:52Speaker 4: I can't think anyone who wouldn't love one thousand dollars
- 3:55Speaker 4: just like on a randomnoon.
- 3:57Speaker 3: You know, but also just being rewarded for being consistent
- 4:01Speaker 3: and listening to our podcasts. I just feel like, when
- 4:04Speaker 3: we were sitting down and we're like, how can we
- 4:06Speaker 3: properly reward the community.
- 4:07Speaker 2: I didn't want it to be super random.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Yes, I wanted to make sure that we were a
- 4:12Speaker 3: little bit intentional, and I feel like this is our
- 4:14Speaker 3: way of playing mind games at the same time as
- 4:17Speaker 3: giving away cash to the most committed person.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Oh my, I just know already. If I was like
- 4:22Speaker 6: listening to this and I was just like twelve pm,
- 4:23Speaker 6: you've already turned it off. I no, I'm like sick
- 4:26Speaker 6: to my stomach. I'm like, oh my god, I go
- 4:28Speaker 6: back and make sure I've found like I would be racing.
- 4:31Speaker 3: I love that for them, I love it. I'm excited.
- 4:33Speaker 3: All right, guys, let's take a really quick break because
- 4:36Speaker 3: I'm sorry. With a thousand episodes under our belt, we
- 4:38Speaker 3: have some really fun sponsors that we want you to
- 4:40Speaker 3: hear from. But when we get back, we'll be diving
- 4:43Speaker 3: into more thousandth episode exclusives. That was a mouthful, but
- 4:47Speaker 3: don't go anywhere. Welcome back to our thousandth episode of
- 4:54Speaker 3: Sheese on the Money, where we're taking a little bit
- 4:56Speaker 3: of a trip down memory lane and looking back at
- 4:58Speaker 3: some of our earliest moment mints. All right, we've got
- 5:03Speaker 3: what I have called my moments. Okay, Jess, be honest,
- 5:08Speaker 3: have you ever gone back and listened to an episode
- 5:10Speaker 3: of She's on the Money?
- 5:12Speaker 4: I have, because it is my job and so.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Unlucky, I do have to go back. That's where all
- 5:19Speaker 2: those listeners came from. Back, pop it up. It's Jess
- 5:23Speaker 2: and my mom.
- 5:24Speaker 4: Maybe we don't have a single fan, it's just just
- 5:26Speaker 4: real listening. Someone mentioned actually recently on an episode that
- 5:32Speaker 4: they heard my first episode because I haven't. Neither of
- 5:35Speaker 4: us have been here the whole time and I did
- 5:37Speaker 4: go back and listen to that when they said it,
- 5:39Speaker 4: because I was like, what did I it was? It
- 5:41Speaker 4: was a randomy one. No, it was a Friday drink.
- 5:44Speaker 7: I threw you in.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Friday, we love Jess. Well, it was easy to
- 5:48Speaker 4: find because it was it was when I started, was
- 5:51Speaker 4: right when format switched to three episodes, so you had
- 5:54Speaker 4: to find the very first Friday.
- 5:56Speaker 2: And wow, what a time.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Wow it was but a shy spring chicken.
- 6:01Speaker 2: We need to actually drink on Friday drinks. Oh that's gorgeous.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Can we see that?
- 6:08Speaker 2: So do you feel like you have changed your.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yes, of course, that you'd be more I've gotten so
- 6:14Speaker 4: much more comfortable, I think, like you can listening. I
- 6:17Speaker 4: don't know if anyone else can tell, but I could
- 6:19Speaker 4: certainly tell that. I was so nervous and so scared,
- 6:23Speaker 4: and I was new to the company, and I was like,
- 6:26Speaker 4: I'd listened to the first season, so I was like,
- 6:27Speaker 4: Victoria's changed my money story in my life, and now
- 6:30Speaker 4: I sitting here sharing a vodka cruiser.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that was crazy.
- 6:36Speaker 3: I need to go back and listen to that because
- 6:37Speaker 3: I can't even remember. I know where we recorded it.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I remember recording it and just how cool we've changed
- 6:45Speaker 3: so much.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Look, I am arguably a.
- 6:48Speaker 3: Very sentimental person, especially since having babies, Like I feel
- 6:51Speaker 3: like my sentimental like limit has definitely increased. And I
- 6:56Speaker 3: feel like a thousand is a massive deal and I'm
- 6:58Speaker 3: all about making a deal about everyday things, but like,
- 7:02Speaker 3: this is not just an everyday thing. The team and
- 7:05Speaker 3: I we did some quick maths and it actually ends
- 7:08Speaker 3: up being something like twenty one full days, like twenty
- 7:12Speaker 3: four hours in the day, full days of non stop
- 7:15Speaker 3: She's on the Money. If you were to play the
- 7:16Speaker 3: episodes back to back, Wow, twenty one whole days of content.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Like of me, non stop talking, no break, no sleep, break,
- 7:23Speaker 2: no sleep.
- 7:24Speaker 4: Thanks.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Yeah, isn't that insane? He's insane.
- 7:28Speaker 4: We spent a lot of time with you guys. You
- 7:31Speaker 4: know us really well.
- 7:32Speaker 3: I'm so grateful to I always say you guys are
- 7:35Speaker 3: friends that we just haven't met yet, and like I
- 7:38Speaker 3: genuinely mean that. When we run into people on the
- 7:40Speaker 3: street or people are like, are you Victoria from She's
- 7:42Speaker 3: on Money, I'm like, yes, queen, who are you?
- 7:44Speaker 2: Introduced me to you? Because I don't know your name?
- 7:47Speaker 2: You know mine?
- 7:48Speaker 3: Like Hi, it's actually the best but are you ready
- 7:51Speaker 3: for the ultimate throwback. I went through some of the
- 7:55Speaker 3: earliest posts on our Facebook page. Okay, so they are
- 7:59Speaker 3: mostly but they're in the early days that She's on
- 8:03Speaker 3: the Money, and I took a heap of screenshots, so
- 8:06Speaker 3: I have them. I've gone on a laptop. I'll share
- 8:08Speaker 3: them on socials obviously for you guys to go and
- 8:10Speaker 3: have a squeeze, so you know what I'm talking about.
- 8:12Speaker 3: But these are my little mic drop moments. They are
- 8:16Speaker 3: arguably I don't know if the word is embarrassing. I
- 8:18Speaker 3: think I'm embarrassed with my graphic design skills mostly, so
- 8:22Speaker 3: please don't.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Look too closely.
- 8:24Speaker 3: But first one is the Victorias or vd's not so
- 8:27Speaker 3: secret cash flow plan. I posted it was a little
- 8:30Speaker 3: bit of a sneak peek into my cash flow system
- 8:33Speaker 3: from twenty nineteen, which by the way, has not changed,
- 8:36Speaker 3: like I've tweaked it. I've updated it, but it's like
- 8:38Speaker 3: the same system Microsoft word formatting and like cut and
- 8:42Speaker 3: paste and all. And I obviously use the like more
- 8:46Speaker 3: than symbol and number three to make a love heart
- 8:48Speaker 3: on that of course.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Yep.
- 8:50Speaker 2: And then there was a.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Post about She's on the Money launching and topping the charts.
- 8:54Speaker 3: It's a screenshot of our Apple podcast app, which looks
- 9:00Speaker 3: so dated, and we're the top spot in the Australian
- 9:03Speaker 3: podcast charts in twenty nineteen, not just of our category,
- 9:06Speaker 3: but of like, oh, the entire podcast world. That's amazing,
- 9:11Speaker 3: that's crazy, so crazy. There was a very cute picture
- 9:14Speaker 3: of myself and Annabelle Lee from twenty nineteen. Then I
- 9:18Speaker 3: took a screenshot and shared it because I was so proud,
- 9:20Speaker 3: and I still am so proud. It's a screenshot of
- 9:23Speaker 3: us hitting thirty thousand friends in our Facebook group.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Oh and now we have over three hundred.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Now we have more than three hundred and thirty thousand, Jess,
- 9:31Speaker 3: isn't that insane?
- 9:32Speaker 2: It just goes to show from little things, big things
- 9:36Speaker 2: grow exactly. I couldn't believe it. I was like, oh
- 9:39Speaker 2: my god. I remember being like, this is the most
- 9:40Speaker 2: amount of people. This is like psychotic.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Imagine a Facebook group with thirty thousand people, three hundred
- 9:46Speaker 3: and thirty Now that's insane.
- 9:48Speaker 2: And then there was a whole thread from twenty twenty one.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Look, it's the pay it Forward thread where people in
- 9:54Speaker 3: our community were sharing things like give vouchers, and favors
- 9:58Speaker 3: and discounted services.
- 9:59Speaker 2: All the name of just being kind to one another.
- 10:02Speaker 4: That's so nice. I remember that that was really it
- 10:05Speaker 4: was because the midst of COVID and we had so
- 10:08Speaker 4: many people submitting into the Facebook group because we've always
- 10:12Speaker 4: had post approvals on.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:14Speaker 4: I remember we had so many people submitting in saying, Oh,
- 10:16Speaker 4: I've got this thing that I want to share, I've
- 10:18Speaker 4: got this thing that I want to share, and we
- 10:19Speaker 4: were like, we can't have five hundred of those posts.
- 10:21Speaker 4: It's just too hard to manage. So we made a
- 10:23Speaker 4: thread and I remember it just being so lovely, like
- 10:26Speaker 4: in the midst of what was an awful, awful time
- 10:29Speaker 4: for everybody, particularly those of us here in Melbourne. I
- 10:32Speaker 4: remember it was just so joyful.
- 10:33Speaker 3: We should do that thread again, maybe in the Facebook group,
- 10:38Speaker 3: not today, because we've got a lot going on. Keep
- 10:40Speaker 3: your eyes peeled and we will do a pay it
- 10:43Speaker 3: Forward thread again where if you've been sitting on something
- 10:46Speaker 3: that you know could go to a better home, or
- 10:48Speaker 3: like just something that you could share with someone in
- 10:50Speaker 3: the community, you could drop it in there. My friends,
- 10:54Speaker 3: are you ready ready for money? Diarist returns. So over
- 10:59Speaker 3: the years we've interviewed literally hundreds of Money diarists, and
- 11:02Speaker 3: while most of them have shared pretty incredible journeys so far,
- 11:06Speaker 3: we know that there is still so much growth on
- 11:08Speaker 3: the cards and that's like the best bit, right. How
- 11:10Speaker 3: many times have you listened to a money diary and
- 11:12Speaker 3: I have been like, oh my god, like your set,
- 11:15Speaker 3: but imagine you in five or ten years, like you're
- 11:17Speaker 3: going so far? Like to me, it's crazy because some
- 11:20Speaker 3: of those diarists have gone five years, have gone six years, like, be.
- 11:25Speaker 2: So for real.
- 11:26Speaker 3: So we decided to seek out some of the diarists
- 11:28Speaker 3: from our very first season to see how they were doing.
- 11:30Speaker 8: It's been so long since I listened to that old episode,
- 11:33Speaker 8: and it's so funny actually to hear how different things are,
- 11:36Speaker 8: I guess, from back then to now. So at the
- 11:38Speaker 8: time I was thirty three, I've recently turned forty. It
- 11:42Speaker 8: just feels like so long ago. And back then, I
- 11:46Speaker 8: was working predominantly as a fitness influencer. I was posting
- 11:49Speaker 8: on social media, and from that my income was then
- 11:53Speaker 8: generated through selling like programs and coaching services.
- 11:57Speaker 5: So I wasn't really making much.
- 11:59Speaker 8: Money, if any, via social media ads or anything, but
- 12:03Speaker 8: I was generating a lot of income via people finding
- 12:07Speaker 8: me on social media and then signing up to my
- 12:09Speaker 8: fitness coaching services. And yeah, the snapshot of I guess
- 12:14Speaker 8: the time that I was interviewed, that was my most
- 12:18Speaker 8: successful period ever in my business. And twenty nineteen, yeah,
- 12:22Speaker 8: I think my business brought in around one hundred and
- 12:25Speaker 8: eighty K. Obviously I had to pay tax, super all
- 12:27Speaker 8: that good stuff out of that, but that was a
- 12:30Speaker 8: really high earning year. And then obviously twenty twenty happened.
- 12:34Speaker 8: People weren't out and about working out as much, so
- 12:37Speaker 8: my business really changed, and I also really changed and
- 12:41Speaker 8: went into a totally different space and I'm now working
- 12:44Speaker 8: as a counselor instead, so not really generating the income
- 12:48Speaker 8: that I did back then, and also not really able
- 12:51Speaker 8: to work the amount of hours that I could back then.
- 12:55Speaker 8: So where I was earning upwards of sort of one
- 12:58Speaker 8: hundred and twenty k consist for a few years in
- 13:01Speaker 8: a row there, I'm a little under that.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Now.
- 13:04Speaker 8: I do earn a little bit more through social media
- 13:07Speaker 8: ads because I am still doing that, and so that's
- 13:09Speaker 8: kind of picked up and supplemented my.
- 13:11Speaker 5: Income, which is nice, but yeah, really crazy to hear.
- 13:14Speaker 8: How different things were back then, and I graded myself
- 13:18Speaker 8: a BEE at the time.
- 13:20Speaker 5: I still think that that's pretty fair.
- 13:22Speaker 8: I think my income was good, but I was not
- 13:25Speaker 8: particularly smart with my money. I would say now my
- 13:29Speaker 8: earnings are lower, but I probably still grade myself somewhere
- 13:33Speaker 8: around a BEE, maybe a B minus in that I
- 13:36Speaker 8: don't earn as much, but I am more smart with
- 13:40Speaker 8: my money. I'm not really investing or doing anything like
- 13:44Speaker 8: that at this point because I did buy a house
- 13:46Speaker 8: a couple of years ago, so I have really invested
- 13:49Speaker 8: into that and just like made sure that I'm keeping
- 13:52Speaker 8: on top of, like getting ahead of my mortgage repayments,
- 13:55Speaker 8: especially with all of the craziness of interest rates and everything.
- 13:58Speaker 8: To be able to try and put extra money aside
- 14:00Speaker 8: to sort of buffer that is a real priority for
- 14:02Speaker 8: me now. So I'm a little more future focused, I
- 14:05Speaker 8: guess than I was at the time.
- 14:07Speaker 5: I'm not spending as frivolously. I'm not buying it much.
- 14:10Speaker 8: Active wear compared to them, So that's been a real
- 14:14Speaker 8: positive that I'm just a little more particular about.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Planning for my future in terms of my money values now.
- 14:23Speaker 8: I think for me it's really important to still be present,
- 14:28Speaker 8: still make sure that I'm enjoying life. I'm not traveling
- 14:31Speaker 8: as much as I was, but it is still something
- 14:33Speaker 8: that is a really strong value for me to have
- 14:36Speaker 8: that sense of adventure and sort of breaking up the period.
- 14:39Speaker 8: But instead of going on a long trip every year,
- 14:41Speaker 8: it's probably a short trip every second year. But that's
- 14:45Speaker 8: something that really does need to be put aside for
- 14:48Speaker 8: me to make sure that I've got the time to
- 14:50Speaker 8: do that, and just safety and security right now in
- 14:53Speaker 8: the world that we live in with the crazy cost
- 14:56Speaker 8: of living and interest rates and all of that. Really
- 14:59Speaker 8: just trying to be somewhat consistent with my income, really
- 15:03Speaker 8: keeping on top of that, putting money extra money aside
- 15:07Speaker 8: if I do have a higher earning period, to just
- 15:10Speaker 8: have that kitty there for the low periods, and just
- 15:13Speaker 8: trying to be as stable as possible. I think that's
- 15:16Speaker 8: the main thing that I really look for. One thing
- 15:18Speaker 8: I am really proud of in running my own business
- 15:20Speaker 8: over the last ten years is that in this entire
- 15:22Speaker 8: time that I've been self employed, I have been pretty
- 15:25Speaker 8: much entirely self sufficient. I've never had a business manager
- 15:28Speaker 8: or anything like that to help me. I've done it
- 15:31Speaker 8: all on my own and just kind of figured it
- 15:32Speaker 8: out along the way, and such a big part of
- 15:35Speaker 8: that is the work behind building a social media community
- 15:39Speaker 8: that then turns into such a great lead generator for me.
- 15:42Speaker 2: And part of that is the hard work.
- 15:44Speaker 8: In showing up and making good content and building those connections,
- 15:48Speaker 8: but also a little bit of that is just luck
- 15:50Speaker 8: and being at the right place at the right time
- 15:52Speaker 8: to build a bit of a following. So trying to
- 15:54Speaker 8: kind of leverage off that and make sure that it's
- 15:57Speaker 8: a sustainable business model is something I'm more conscious of now.
- 16:01Speaker 8: I've been really fortunate that I've never had to run
- 16:03Speaker 8: any paid ads. Everything has just come through so organically,
- 16:07Speaker 8: which has been really lucky. But I'm now kind of
- 16:10Speaker 8: trying to diversify that a little bit and not just
- 16:12Speaker 8: rely on social media just in case it ever disappears
- 16:16Speaker 8: at any point. I'm trying to build referral networks and
- 16:19Speaker 8: all those kinds of things just to make sure that
- 16:21Speaker 8: I'm like safe and stable and kind of planning for
- 16:23Speaker 8: any changes in the future.
- 16:25Speaker 5: But I feel really lucky that I've been able to.
- 16:28Speaker 8: Do that on my own and create this out of nothing,
- 16:32Speaker 8: and you know, lead to me being able to pay
- 16:34Speaker 8: my own way through life, buy my.
- 16:36Speaker 5: Own house, which I never thought i'd be able to
- 16:38Speaker 5: do on my own. So the fact that I did
- 16:41Speaker 5: this by myself is yeah, really special.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Oh that's amazing.
- 16:45Speaker 3: I am obsessed with her. I literally love her so much.
- 16:48Speaker 3: And we know her Jess and I know her personally.
- 16:50Speaker 3: We're not gonna give it away how she is, but like,
- 16:53Speaker 3: that's whey. One of our diarists has been and has
- 16:56Speaker 3: been growing, and I just think it is so important
- 16:59Speaker 3: that we become who we meant to be. Yeah, And
- 17:02Speaker 3: as much as this is a money podcast, not focus
- 17:05Speaker 3: so much on the money, totally absolutely, Like it just
- 17:09Speaker 3: goes to show that even our ideas and our values
- 17:11Speaker 3: about money can shift and change and evolved throughout our lifetimes.
- 17:14Speaker 2: And that I guess things that.
- 17:15Speaker 3: We once thought defined us and were us and what
- 17:20Speaker 3: wealth could look like can be so so different in
- 17:23Speaker 3: just a matter of years. And all of this is
- 17:25Speaker 3: to say, should we bring back money diarists onto the
- 17:28Speaker 3: show and do a whole where are they now?
- 17:32Speaker 4: I loved hearing what she's up to now and I
- 17:34Speaker 4: think it's she's living a life that I would love
- 17:36Speaker 4: to live. Yeah, you know, I think she's so positive
- 17:39Speaker 4: and so happy and just such a beautiful soul. I
- 17:44Speaker 4: think the irrespective of what that journey has looked like.
- 17:48Speaker 4: I loved hearing that update, and I want to hear more.
- 17:51Speaker 4: I'm so we've had so many fabulous dirests over the year.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Bring them back, Bring them back.
- 17:56Speaker 3: But also it's funny listening to it because when I
- 18:00Speaker 3: met this person and they were on the show, they
- 18:02Speaker 3: were just a diarist to me, if that makes sense,
- 18:05Speaker 3: Like I thought they had a really cool story. I
- 18:07Speaker 3: wanted to have them online, and since then we've developed
- 18:10Speaker 3: a personal relationship. They came to my thirtieth birthday, Like
- 18:13Speaker 3: they're just a really wholesome human being. And it just
- 18:16Speaker 3: reminds me that it's not just about like the destination.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Maybe sometimes it's about the friends that you collect along
- 18:20Speaker 3: the way. Yeah, God, we have lots of cheese on
- 18:23Speaker 3: the money friends. All Right, after the break, we're going
- 18:25Speaker 3: to be running through some of our favorite things, some
- 18:28Speaker 3: team picks that we think have enduring value, plus your
- 18:32Speaker 3: way to win each and every single one of those
- 18:34Speaker 3: things that we think are valuable.
- 18:36Speaker 2: So stick around, guys.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Our one thousandth episode is coming up soon, and to celebrate,
- 18:44Speaker 3: We're giving one clever listener a chance to win She's
- 18:47Speaker 3: Stashed the Cash. Today's mystery word is thirty. Tune into
- 18:53Speaker 3: episodes of She's on the Money between the seventeenth of
- 18:55Speaker 3: June and the third of July and listen out for
- 18:58Speaker 3: the hidden code words. In total, the first person to
- 19:02Speaker 3: arrange the code words in the correct order will win
- 19:04Speaker 3: one thousand dollars. Entries open on Friday, the third of July,
- 19:08Speaker 3: with details shared live on the pod. Good luck and
- 19:11Speaker 3: happy hunting. Okay, back everybody, my friends. Now it is
- 19:15Speaker 3: time for the moment I have personally been waiting for.
- 19:20Speaker 3: This is our favorite things. While this podcast is dedicated
- 19:24Speaker 3: to saving money and budgeting well, let's be honest. Whilst
- 19:28Speaker 3: this podcast is absolutely dedicated to saving money and budgeting well,
- 19:32Speaker 3: learning to invest and being really wise with our cash
- 19:35Speaker 3: and creating wealth, let's be honest, it's also about our
- 19:37Speaker 3: earning and our spending habits and building better ones. Part
- 19:41Speaker 3: of that, and we have this conversation in our Facebook
- 19:44Speaker 3: group all the time and sometimes on the show, is
- 19:46Speaker 3: recognizing good value when you see it, so that when
- 19:50Speaker 3: you do end up spending the money, we're making the
- 19:52Speaker 3: best possible investment with our hard earned cash. And naturally
- 19:57Speaker 3: we ask the team about their favorite things. You know,
- 20:00Speaker 3: what are their top picks or simply what is a
- 20:02Speaker 3: pick that brings them both emotional and financial joy? Jessic
- 20:08Speaker 3: RICI remind me what topped your list?
- 20:11Speaker 4: Well, mine had to be a callback to something that
- 20:15Speaker 4: I think everyone who's listened for a long time will recall.
- 20:19Speaker 4: That is my beloved kitchen Aid that I did not
- 20:22Speaker 4: pay a dollar for. If we remember, I saved my
- 20:25Speaker 4: Flybys points. Yes, I hustled hard. Not a cent was paid,
- 20:30Speaker 4: but she was worth every cent, every dollar, every penny.
- 20:32Speaker 4: I use that thing all the time to make all
- 20:35Speaker 4: my sweet treats that I cook for people. Now it's
- 20:37Speaker 4: a powerhouse. It's a workhorse, and I love it so much.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Mine is white. But if I wished you my time over, yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 4: I do think I'd get one in pink.
- 20:45Speaker 2: So you've picked for the community, and I've got it
- 20:48Speaker 2: listed here.
- 20:49Speaker 3: You've picked the Kitchen Aid artisan bowl lift stand mixer
- 20:53Speaker 3: in dried rows.
- 20:54Speaker 4: I just think it would look absolutely beautiful in someone's kitchen.
- 20:58Speaker 4: I only excited to make things to share love and
- 21:01Speaker 4: joy with other people.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Too, And just like Jess, someone in our community is
- 21:05Speaker 2: not going to pay for it. Yeah, because I did money.
- 21:08Speaker 3: So none of this, By the way, guys, I think
- 21:10Speaker 3: it's very important to point out here, none of this
- 21:12Speaker 3: is sponsored. So the brands that we are mentioning and
- 21:15Speaker 3: the items that we are talking about here actually have
- 21:18Speaker 3: been bought by She's on the money for that.
- 21:20Speaker 2: She's on the money community.
- 21:22Speaker 3: Just because we love them so damn much like I'm
- 21:24Speaker 3: collected by the team exactly. I said, Jess, what's your thing?
- 21:28Speaker 3: And I mean that standard suggests I think it's a
- 21:31Speaker 3: little better than your one. That one's one thousand and
- 21:33Speaker 3: forty nine dollars.
- 21:34Speaker 4: Sho's getting an upgrade.
- 21:36Speaker 2: But that's nice.
- 21:38Speaker 3: So Beck, what did you think that the community would
- 21:41Speaker 3: love the most or what do you love the most?
- 21:44Speaker 3: I don't necessarily have one of these, but is my
- 21:46Speaker 3: life's dream, my life's goal to get a coffee machine
- 21:48Speaker 3: from my home, because first of all, saving money all
- 21:52Speaker 3: day every day, And secondly, isn't it the most wholesome,
- 21:56Speaker 3: gorgeous thing?
- 21:57Speaker 6: Wake up, suns out, make it for a coffe If
- 22:00Speaker 6: you sit on the porch, maybe you sit on the deck,
- 22:03Speaker 6: whatever you've got going on. So for me, it's a
- 22:06Speaker 6: coffee machine really of any caliber, of any kind, but
- 22:10Speaker 6: that's my pick for the community of any kind.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Well, you did send us one.
- 22:14Speaker 3: You have sent us And apparently we did ask the
- 22:18Speaker 3: community a while ago, because I was like, what's the
- 22:20Speaker 3: best coffee machine when I was purchasing one, and a
- 22:23Speaker 3: resounding number of people said, it's a Brevel And the
- 22:26Speaker 3: number one Brevel that our community loves was the Brevel
- 22:29Speaker 3: Bambino plus espresso machine. So we have bought one of those,
- 22:32Speaker 3: and that is going to be given away as well.
- 22:35Speaker 3: How are we going to like ship all this stuff
- 22:37Speaker 3: to you guys, TBC.
- 22:40Speaker 2: We'll figure it out. Can't be that hard. Controlways do it?
- 22:43Speaker 5: Boys?
- 22:43Speaker 4: Do it?
- 22:44Speaker 2: And then I thought, I don't know.
- 22:46Speaker 3: I'm like, you guys had such cool things, and like
- 22:48Speaker 3: I remember having this team meeting and being like, guys,
- 22:51Speaker 3: we're gonna pick our favorite things.
- 22:52Speaker 2: We're going to gift it to the community. What are
- 22:54Speaker 2: we going to do? I was like, Oh, I'm being practical.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Like a lot of people in our community are like UNI,
- 23:00Speaker 3: and if they're not at UNI anymore, they probably haven't
- 23:02Speaker 3: spent a lot of money on a laptop.
- 23:04Speaker 2: And like for me, my laptop is my lifeline. Like
- 23:07Speaker 2: I just live and breathe my laptop. I know Jess
- 23:10Speaker 2: does too.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Like I feel like if I was to pick three
- 23:12Speaker 3: things that define a person, which is also a really
- 23:14Speaker 3: fun game we should play later where you go, what
- 23:16Speaker 3: are three items that yes, define Jess or three items
- 23:22Speaker 3: that define Beck? Well me anyway, Jess in a laptop,
- 23:26Speaker 3: but Jess in a pink laptop. So Jess has a
- 23:28Speaker 3: rose gold laptop.
- 23:29Speaker 2: And I was like, okay, cool, let's combine the two.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Because I'm a mac Gurly and everyone else in the
- 23:34Speaker 3: team seems to like PC's weird, but okay, I'm a
- 23:37Speaker 3: mac Gurly.
- 23:38Speaker 2: So I picked the Apple MacBook in pink.
- 23:42Speaker 5: Oh yea.
- 23:43Speaker 2: So I was like, let's give away an Apple MacBook.
- 23:46Speaker 3: It's the new Apple Neo MacBook in blush pink, and
- 23:50Speaker 3: I just I want to upgrade to that, Like I
- 23:52Speaker 3: want that, but I can't justify it.
- 23:54Speaker 2: So I'll give it to you. That's gorgeous, That's what
- 23:55Speaker 2: I'm doing.
- 23:56Speaker 4: If you got us on Instagram, you know it's not
- 23:57Speaker 4: just the three of us. There's a whole wonderful tea
- 24:00Speaker 4: that makes She's in ninety possible. And they all picked
- 24:01Speaker 4: their favorite things as well, and I got them to
- 24:03Speaker 4: make a sneaky little voice.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Note, yeah, do you explain what they've picked?
- 24:08Speaker 4: So they're gonna make their podcast dabut and tell you
- 24:10Speaker 4: what they've picked. Hello.
- 24:11Speaker 9: My name is Brooke and I do a lot of
- 24:13Speaker 9: the content and marketing as she's on the money. No
- 24:15Speaker 9: one actually knows my real role title is, but that's okay.
- 24:18Speaker 9: My favorite thing that I have chosen is the robo
- 24:21Speaker 9: rock Qivo L I believe the number is and it
- 24:25Speaker 9: is a robot vacuum and I love it because it
- 24:28Speaker 9: is like having a little robot working for you twenty
- 24:30Speaker 9: four seven and you do have to worry about it.
- 24:33Speaker 9: It has genuinely changed my life. So I would highly
- 24:35Speaker 9: recommend that if you don't have one, you look at
- 24:37Speaker 9: getting one. And I think that everyone needs one, So
- 24:41Speaker 9: I'm glad someone in the community is going to get
- 24:43Speaker 9: to have one and enjoy it. And you guys might
- 24:46Speaker 9: benefit from this, because who really wants to vacuum their
- 24:49Speaker 9: house every day? Not me, But if you can have
- 24:51Speaker 9: a little robot do it while you do all other
- 24:53Speaker 9: fun things, that sounds pretty good to me.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Hello, this is Georgia.
- 24:57Speaker 10: I'm the graphic designer and work in the content department.
- 25:00Speaker 10: For my favorite Thing, I have chosen the dice in
- 25:03Speaker 10: air Rap. If you've listened to the podcast for a while,
- 25:05Speaker 10: you probably already know that so many of us on
- 25:08Speaker 10: the team are obsessed with our Dison air Rap. I
- 25:11Speaker 10: have had mine since twenty twenty one and it's genuinely
- 25:13Speaker 10: one of my most used purchases. She's a multifaceted gem
- 25:18Speaker 10: and has so many attachments to create all different looks,
- 25:21Speaker 10: and we love a multi use product at Shees and
- 25:23Speaker 10: The Money Money Win. Also, maintaining your hair is expensive,
- 25:27Speaker 10: so having something that you can use at home to
- 25:30Speaker 10: style your hair without completely frying it between appointments is
- 25:33Speaker 10: something that we all just can really appreciate.
- 25:36Speaker 11: Hello, my name is Kiara and I am the community
- 25:39Speaker 11: manager at Cheese on the Money, So odds are if
- 25:41Speaker 11: you've sent us a message, I am the gal responding
- 25:44Speaker 11: to you. For my favorite Thing, I have chosen a
- 25:47Speaker 11: road peptide or lip balm. However, upon seeing what the
- 25:51Speaker 11: rest of the team chose, I have pretty much up
- 25:53Speaker 11: that to the entire Road range as a Haley Beaber
- 25:56Speaker 11: loyalist and have recently come back from America. I brought
- 25:59Speaker 11: it all with me and just in time for it
- 26:01Speaker 11: to become available in Mecca. I am obsessed with it.
- 26:04Speaker 4: It saved my skin.
- 26:05Speaker 2: The colors are.
- 26:06Speaker 11: Incredible and yeah, could not highly recommend enough. So whoever
- 26:10Speaker 11: is lucky enough to win, enjoy the Haley Bebelare and more.
- 26:14Speaker 7: Hello, this is too har she's on the Money's resident copywriter.
- 26:17Speaker 7: For my favorite thing, I've chosen a good food voucher
- 26:20Speaker 7: because as a foodie and a bit of a hedonist,
- 26:22Speaker 7: nothing beats an exciting new dining experience. So these vouchers
- 26:25Speaker 7: are accepted across the country and they always give me
- 26:28Speaker 7: something to look forward to throughout the year. So whether
- 26:30Speaker 7: it's a special event, my birthday, tourist season, you know anything.
- 26:35Speaker 7: They're particularly useful for spoiling yourself, spoiling a friend, that
- 26:38Speaker 7: sort of thing when you feel like doing something a
- 26:40Speaker 7: little bit special or maybe even thoughtful and want to
- 26:42Speaker 7: feel generous, but maybe you're a little bit skinned, so
- 26:45Speaker 7: you can sometimes get these ones discounted, saving you even
- 26:48Speaker 7: more when it's time for the bill. But I'm going
- 26:51Speaker 7: to save you the bill by gifting you one instead.
- 26:54Speaker 2: All right, guys, that's the wrap up. Of what our
- 26:56Speaker 2: prize pack includes. How do we feel?
- 26:59Speaker 4: I very jealous of whoever's going to do this, but
- 27:02Speaker 4: also very happy. You know, you guys give us so much,
- 27:05Speaker 4: so much support, so much love. I wouldn't have a
- 27:07Speaker 4: job if you weren't listening to this show. That is true.
- 27:10Speaker 2: That is true. It's everything to their mission. No, I'm joking,
- 27:15Speaker 2: but also like we owe everything to Jess, Like how
- 27:18Speaker 2: good did the podcast get?
- 27:20Speaker 4: When she joins, I know it's a team effort everybody,
- 27:23Speaker 4: but I just think I'm so happy that we are
- 27:25Speaker 4: doing this episode to give back, because you know, we
- 27:28Speaker 4: sat down, we spoke about it. We said, well, what
- 27:30Speaker 4: do we do to celebrate like a thousand episodes? We've
- 27:32Speaker 4: done so many wonderful things. Do we reminisce? What do
- 27:35Speaker 4: we do?
- 27:36Speaker 2: And no, we give the community cool stuff.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Yeah, like we It just it wouldn't be what it
- 27:41Speaker 4: is without you guys. And I'm really excited to think
- 27:43Speaker 4: about some people winning these great prizes. That's beautiful.
- 27:46Speaker 3: And I think that they're all things that people wouldn't
- 27:49Speaker 3: immediately go and purchase for themselves. Yeah, there are really
- 27:51Speaker 3: big purchases. I just I thought that was a really
- 27:54Speaker 3: cool way of giving back to the community in a
- 27:57Speaker 3: way that's just like fun.
- 27:59Speaker 4: And lines everything.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Weir, Yeah, it's fun.
- 28:01Speaker 3: We want you to enjoy, like it's not about like
- 28:05Speaker 3: you know, the crux of what She's on the Money
- 28:07Speaker 3: is about. Yeah, but it is super fun, all right.
- 28:10Speaker 3: So obviously we're not going to gate keep. We are
- 28:12Speaker 3: giving you the chance to win all of our favorite things.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Head on over to the She's on the Money Instagram
- 28:17Speaker 3: to enter and you could win each and every single
- 28:19Speaker 3: one of these items, which I think is really cool.
- 28:22Speaker 3: And I mean I'm biased because like it's my team.
- 28:24Speaker 3: I love my team, but I also love the items
- 28:26Speaker 3: that my team has picked. Entries close at the end
- 28:28Speaker 3: of July, So my friends, you have to be in
- 28:30Speaker 3: it to win it, all right. As you guys know,
- 28:34Speaker 3: She's on the Money. As you literally just said, it's
- 28:36Speaker 3: like just like got hold of my script that I
- 28:38Speaker 3: didn't give her. She's on the Money would literally be
- 28:41Speaker 3: nothing without you guys. Our incredible community is literally incredible,
- 28:45Speaker 3: And I don't say that lightly. Like we have seen
- 28:48Speaker 3: so many beautiful things come out of this community, and
- 28:51Speaker 3: like we are so privileged to call you not only
- 28:55Speaker 3: our loyal listeners, but our friends like I think each
- 28:58Speaker 3: and every single one of us when we have met
- 29:00Speaker 3: you on the street or at the shop, or one
- 29:02Speaker 3: time I met someone while I was arguing with my
- 29:04Speaker 3: husband over brocolini at Kohl's, and it was just so
- 29:09Speaker 3: funny and so nice, Like I don't think I've met
- 29:12Speaker 3: someone that I'm like, oh, that doesn't make sense that
- 29:14Speaker 3: she listens to our podge Like every single person, I'm like, yes, queen,
- 29:18Speaker 3: I love it, like I've made the most beautiful friends.
- 29:20Speaker 3: But we are just so grateful for the ups and
- 29:23Speaker 3: the downs that you've shared with us and your own
- 29:26Speaker 3: money journeys.
- 29:26Speaker 2: You've been so generous with us.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Let's just say we do pay attention, like we get
- 29:32Speaker 3: to know you in our DMS. We see those consistent voices,
- 29:36Speaker 3: we see those slag names pop up, and we go,
- 29:39Speaker 3: I see you, Leah, I see you. I know you're there,
- 29:42Speaker 3: Like You're not just a number to us, you are
- 29:45Speaker 3: literally a name that we talk about. And that's why
- 29:48Speaker 3: we are rewarding some of the most active members in
- 29:51Speaker 3: our community since this whole thing began. And this was
- 29:54Speaker 3: no mean feat because how the hell do you do that?
- 29:58Speaker 3: So we have trawled across it single social media platform,
- 30:01Speaker 3: ol emails, our dms, literally everything to find out who
- 30:05Speaker 3: has been arguably the most active in the community. And
- 30:08Speaker 3: whilst we have already reached out to a handful of
- 30:11Speaker 3: people already, here are some of the wonderful contributors that
- 30:15Speaker 3: we are just giving some hot hot cash to.
- 30:17Speaker 2: We are sending them some hot hot cash.
- 30:19Speaker 3: Buyer a very nice two hundred and fifty dollars Visa
- 30:22Speaker 3: gift card because I don't want just a yeah, Oprah,
- 30:26Speaker 3: but like no tax implications you get you don't have
- 30:32Speaker 3: to pay tax on a gift card, so I pay
- 30:35Speaker 3: the tax. That's why you know, at like Christmas time,
- 30:38Speaker 3: when your employer gives you a gift card, it's not
- 30:41Speaker 3: just because they don't want to give you cash, because
- 30:42Speaker 3: you would have to pay tax on cash and a
- 30:44Speaker 3: gift card makes more sense. You're welcome, Yes, that's why
- 30:47Speaker 3: my team gift cards at Christmas time. And I'm like, guys,
- 30:51Speaker 3: it's not because I'm gatekeeping. It's because I don't want
- 30:53Speaker 3: you to be paying more tax. I appreciate that you're welcome,
- 30:57Speaker 3: and it's a Visa gift cards so you can spend
- 30:58Speaker 3: it on literally anything you want.
- 31:01Speaker 2: There are just a few names.
- 31:02Speaker 3: I've got Leah, I've got Lizzie, I've got Aurelia, I've
- 31:05Speaker 3: got Alisha, Jessica, Monique, Cassandra, and obviously a handful more
- 31:09Speaker 3: because I've reached out to them already, Like I know
- 31:12Speaker 3: they're listening to this podcast as well. Here's some of
- 31:15Speaker 3: the things that they had to say when we reached
- 31:17Speaker 3: out to them, and my team has like cut and
- 31:19Speaker 3: paste these into a document and I have to read
- 31:21Speaker 3: them out now without getting too emotional. So let's give
- 31:24Speaker 3: that a crack. First, cab off the rank Monique. Monique
- 31:28Speaker 3: says a huge thank you to you all. I love
- 31:30Speaker 3: the different personalities and perspectives in the team. Some aspects
- 31:34Speaker 3: of my finance, I'm like Victoria with spreadsheets and data
- 31:36Speaker 3: and other parts I'm more like Beck and I just
- 31:39Speaker 3: really enjoy the ride, which is so important too. I'm
- 31:42Speaker 3: trying to be more like Brook and stick to my budget,
- 31:44Speaker 3: but Jess and her realism is always there to balance
- 31:47Speaker 3: me out.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Oh. Can I just say I love that you guys
- 31:51Speaker 4: identify with us on such a level. I like, it's
- 31:54Speaker 4: so lovely to hear someone say crazy, a piece of
- 31:57Speaker 4: you resonates with me, piece of me, like, I just
- 32:00Speaker 4: that's so beautiful.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and when they say that, that's exactly how we
- 32:04Speaker 2: see the team too.
- 32:05Speaker 3: It's so funny because that dynamic is not just behind
- 32:08Speaker 3: the mics, like that's in real life.
- 32:10Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Like, how many times am I talking Beck off a
- 32:13Speaker 3: financial ledge. I'm like, Babe, that is not reasonable, don't
- 32:17Speaker 3: do that. And how many times I'm like Jess work less, babe,
- 32:21Speaker 3: like stop taking on so much and you're just like
- 32:23Speaker 3: a realist. You're like, nope, I've got a goal and
- 32:25Speaker 3: I'm achieving and like Brook Queen of Budgets, Like literally
- 32:28Speaker 3: all of that is so true. Lizzie said, you girls
- 32:32Speaker 3: have completely changed my life way back from when it
- 32:34Speaker 3: was VD and the law student to now. I'm so
- 32:38Speaker 3: proud of us in this community. That law student was Annabelle.
- 32:42Speaker 4: Oh beautiful, Yeah, Shan exactly.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Then we've got Leah, she says. Guys, happy one thousandth episode.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Thank you so much for everything you've done for this community.
- 32:55Speaker 3: You've not only completely changed my life financially and professionally,
- 32:59Speaker 3: but you continue to do the same for so many
- 33:01Speaker 3: others every single day. The impact that you've had on
- 33:04Speaker 3: people's lives is incredible. And reaching one thousand episodes is
- 33:07Speaker 3: a testament to your dedication and hard work.
- 33:09Speaker 2: You should all be incredibly proud of what you've achieved.
- 33:12Speaker 3: Congratulations on this amazing milestone, and thank you for continuing
- 33:15Speaker 3: to inspire and help so many people.
- 33:18Speaker 4: That's beautiful.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Look you, Jess said.
- 33:22Speaker 3: It's not only the enormous amount of financial literacy I've
- 33:25Speaker 3: learned over all these years, but it's also the other
- 33:27Speaker 3: small things I've gained from the podcasts, guests and community,
- 33:30Speaker 3: from simple things like recipe ideas, vd's Christmas Crack is
- 33:33Speaker 3: absolutely my favorite holiday destinations, to how to clean my oven,
- 33:37Speaker 3: and all the other random suggestions and recommendations mentioned by
- 33:40Speaker 3: both the She's on the Money team and the like
- 33:42Speaker 3: minded community you guys have created.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Beautiful.
- 33:46Speaker 4: It's more than just money, isn't it. Yeah?
- 33:48Speaker 3: I did teach you guys how to clean your other
- 33:51Speaker 3: I did. I love a cleaning tip and trick. And
- 33:55Speaker 3: if you didn't know that about me, don't worry. There's
- 33:57Speaker 3: a whole Instagram highlights on my page of cleaning. Alicia says, Hello,
- 34:02Speaker 3: She's on the Money, Congratulations on your one thousandth episode.
- 34:06Speaker 3: A magnificent milestone. Your positivity and honestly, all things finance
- 34:10Speaker 3: are what I love about your podcast. The most great
- 34:13Speaker 3: tips and laughs are guaranteed, especially the latest Beck and
- 34:16Speaker 3: Jest Financial Year twenty twenty seven episode not all lips.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I wait, k way k, congrats again, legends. I know
- 34:26Speaker 3: you're laughing, but I have not watched that episode back yet.
- 34:29Speaker 3: I have not had the time. Do I need to
- 34:30Speaker 3: order our content? Miss Jess and Beck?
- 34:33Speaker 4: I see h exactly. If you know, you know, If
- 34:36Speaker 4: you don't, If you don't, you know, I'm sorry. You're
- 34:38Speaker 4: just gonna have to go back and listen.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Oh, dear lord, Okay, that's Amalia.
- 34:43Speaker 4: I think that's one of my new favorite callbacks. Definitely.
- 34:46Speaker 3: Aurelia says, I can't believe we're getting close to the
- 34:49Speaker 3: one thousandths episode. This is such a milestone. I'm so
- 34:52Speaker 3: beyond grateful for she's on the money. My friends are
- 34:54Speaker 3: so sick of me for referencing your team all the
- 34:57Speaker 3: time like we are friendsh we are, And Cassandra said,
- 35:03Speaker 3: I've been on a few month long binges of all day,
- 35:06Speaker 3: every day listening to every single episode of this show
- 35:09Speaker 3: from start to finish. I've finished and read every single
- 35:12Speaker 3: book and we'll scream from the rooftops about how good
- 35:15Speaker 3: it is and what it's done for me to anyone
- 35:18Speaker 3: who will listen. Quite honestly, it's changed my life and
- 35:20Speaker 3: I can't thank you guys enough. It also made me
- 35:23Speaker 3: want to change my career and become a financial advisor
- 35:26Speaker 3: or a broker. I want to be able to pass
- 35:28Speaker 3: on knowledge and help continue to educate those who come
- 35:31Speaker 3: after me. The girl's dynamic, especially on a Friday drinks episode,
- 35:35Speaker 3: is absolutely divine and I often love putting it on
- 35:38Speaker 3: and having a glass of wine on a Friday whilst
- 35:40Speaker 3: I'm cooking dinner. Also, thank you VD for your hair
- 35:44Speaker 3: curling recommendations. Honestly, thank you again from the bottom of
- 35:47Speaker 3: my heart. I've really enjoyed this journey and I look
- 35:50Speaker 3: forward to my future. It's bright because of you.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Gorgeous stop it, why stop special? It's truly is so crazy.
- 36:02Speaker 3: I don't want to cry on this episode because I
- 36:03Speaker 3: cried on the last one that I recorded with Beck.
- 36:06Speaker 2: That's true. I can't have these thighs like. It's actually magic.
- 36:11Speaker 3: Like if you told me to summarize our entire journey
- 36:15Speaker 3: of a thousand episodes, I would literally just say it's
- 36:18Speaker 3: been magic.
- 36:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it's crazy to think that we just come and
- 36:22Speaker 4: we sit and we talk into the silly little microphones
- 36:25Speaker 4: and sometimes like today we wear silly little hats like
- 36:28Speaker 4: the Impact. Do you know what I mean? It's fun,
- 36:31Speaker 4: it's fun to talk, and you it's self centered sometimes
- 36:35Speaker 4: because we talk about our own journeys and like, I
- 36:38Speaker 4: know that that was my experience. I listened to season
- 36:40Speaker 4: one of the show and I literally changed my life. Yeah,
- 36:43Speaker 4: and it's crazy to think that we get to do
- 36:46Speaker 4: that for other people. What a blessing it really is.
- 36:49Speaker 4: It's so like those so kind I'm lost for words, honestly,
- 36:53Speaker 4: like what everyone had to say.
- 36:54Speaker 3: You would have thought that it would be this journey,
- 36:56Speaker 3: and like just saying she started, she'd been from the
- 36:59Speaker 3: community she came, But like, how cool is it that
- 37:02Speaker 3: we get to follow your journeys? But then also we've
- 37:06Speaker 3: been on our own, Like I've been achieving financial independence.
- 37:09Speaker 3: Jess just brought her own friggin' house on her own,
- 37:14Speaker 3: with her own money, with nobody.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Else two thousand dollars invested. Like, yes, we've all been
- 37:20Speaker 4: on such journeys. Yes, thank you in and you guys
- 37:23Speaker 4: have been along for the ride, absolutely, and we're so grateful.
- 37:26Speaker 2: You guys are just amazing.
- 37:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm so proud of you all my friends.
- 37:30Speaker 2: How beautiful.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Well, unfortunately that is a wrap on our thousand episode.
- 37:36Speaker 3: We will see you for another thousand and a thousand
- 37:39Speaker 3: after that, because I don't think you can get rid
- 37:41Speaker 3: of us. We really really love bringing you this content,
- 37:44Speaker 3: not just because we're self centered, Jess, but because we
