It's been amazing how many people, without us even sharing anything, how many people have talked to us individually or together. It's been like, I don't know what the hell is going on, but there's, the last few weeks, I, the theme has been, I feel like I'm getting sick. Except people aren't getting sick. Elevated Life: That's how we reach more people who are ready for change. You can also find everything at CJElevatedLife.com. All right, let's keep going. Johnna: Yeah. Yeah, or their life is an absolute disarray. And and I don't mean like life stress like right now basic life stress seems to be Clint: Mm-hmm Johnna: ⁓ welcomed, right? That's like a welcome reprieve. This is like big stuff. And we're going to talk about it because we've been under an insane amount, you know, a lot of stress and what we've done to mitigate it, how we've had wins and Clint: Yeah. ⁓ Johnna: not so much wins, right? I mean, I don't like to call things good or bad all the time, because I feel like it's like lessons or positive. I don't know. ⁓ Clint: And that's such a weird thing for me because it feels kind of ⁓ cliched or like, ⁓ what am I trying to, toxic positivity. You're like, ⁓ no, nothing's bad. It's either good or a lesson or whatever that is, but it's very true. Johnna: Yeah. Well, I've noticed for me since I started like kind of getting into that mindset, it's very helpful. Now in the moment of heightened emotional stress, it isn't helpful. I'm just for me. I'm like, fuck that shit. I don't even care. Clint: I started like kind of getting into that mindset, it's very helpful. Now in the moment of heighten... Johnna: Take your lesson and shove it. But you know, if you look at, can learn from it, right? I can look at reality on reality's terms and like these are the facts and just, you know, move through it. Then it's definitely, you know, helpful as I start to unpack. you know, the stressors and you know, a lot of times people are just constantly living in stress, right? I mean, I know that a lot of people have had a hard time sleeping. They are, they can't sit alone with themselves. They can't, you know, this, that's just a lot of the population. We, we've already talked about that, a dysregulated nervous system on what you need to do with that. But now we have those people. Clint: I mean, I know that a lot of people have had a hard time sleeping. They are they can't sit alone with themselves. They can't you know, this that's just a lot of the population. We've already talked about that a dysregulated nervous system and what you need to do with that. But now we have those people with compounded world stress and in my opinion. Johnna: with compounded world stress and In my opinion, not just in my opinion. I'm so tired of saying that this is just fucking facts Planetary things happening that are releasing stress on the planet world things that are happening that are compounding that on top of Disregulated nervous systems. I feel like people are glitching out They're glitching out now. We've talked about podcasts. Hey, if you didn't do some of your deep work last year Clint: planetary things happening that are releasing stress on the planet, world things that are happening that are compounding that, on top of dysregulated nervous systems, I feel like people are glitching out. They're glitching out. Now, we talked about podcasts today. If you didn't do some of your deep work last year, Johnna: the years prior this firehorse year is gonna be you know everyone's like yeah the firehorse well guess what folks so far I'm like fuck the firehorse and I spent all last year dealing with ⁓ you know nervous system being able to sit quiet with myself meditation all of the things so Clint: and years prior this firework here is going to be you know everyone's like yeah fire horse well guess what folks so far I'm like fuck the fire and I spent all last year dealing with you know nervous system being able to sit quiet with myself meditation all of the things so we're gonna get into how you know some of the things that we've been stressed about Johnna: We're gonna get into how, you know, some of the things that we've been stressed about, maybe not in a ton of detail, but, and also how we're moving through it. Because I think that that's the most important, you know, aspect of it. Clint: I will say along the lines of what you were just saying before we get into that. Anybody who was questioning the reality of the fire horse, you know, I think it's... It's that that horse has shown up with gusto. That's for sure. And and just get back to that point that I was making earlier. So many people from so many different walks of life or so many different thought processes or it's not just like that it's being driven. You know, we're talking to a bunch of people that are like, ⁓ yeah, that fire horse, you know, it's kicking my ass. Nobody's saying that that we're talking to. But right. Johnna: Oh, no. Maybe like two people that we talk to. Clint: Most people are like, I don't know what the fuck is going on. ⁓ Johnna: Yeah, they feel like they're glitching them. Like, honestly, that's and I've I feel that because I have felt that in the last three weeks, we have between the two of us, you guys know, we have seven children. Most of them have partners and two grandchildren. And like we were just talking about the math out of the 14 ish, maybe 15 ⁓ humans that we love that are our children and we have seven of them that are going through some really heavy shit. And, you know, that's for me as a mother. Oh, my goodness. That's overwhelming. I feel overwhelmed by that. Number. Clint: the ship. goodness, that's overwhelming. I feel overwhelmed by... Well, right, because the other ones, mean, take away the grandkids. Because they're nine months and just over three years. Right, so they've got some heavy shit, but they're just kids, little babies and kids. And then the others from that seven, they still have life shit. Johnna: Yeah, they're doing great grandkids are doing great. Yeah. ⁓ Clint: It's not like things are just perfect utopia. They have all the same stuff that you still worry about as a parent, that you still are concerned about. Kids thinking about buying houses or changing jobs or those major life things. That's not even what we're talking about. We're putting those in the, ⁓ they're good. You know, so that, this other stuff that we're talking about is on top of just the normal stress of being a young adult. Johnna: Yeah, I feel like the last three weeks have been like my son is in the military. So I don't need to tell you listener what that entails. He is a Marine. So I also don't need to tell you what that entails. That's very stressful for me as a mom. I had a huge family blow up. ⁓ with some of my kids that resulted in massive stress and ended a 26 year friendship and that is stressful. ⁓ And what else? Like I feel like on top of the other kids having some issues. It's just been a lot. And there were days where I just was like, I don't know if I'm going to be able to function. So I just want to talk about how I kind of moved through that. Number one was I literally Clint: the other kids having some issues. It's just been a lot. And there were days where I just was like, I don't know. Johnna: I can't say this loud enough. have no fucking clue how people deal with copious amounts of stress and they don't work out. I have no idea. I have lifted heavier in the last three weeks than I have ever lifted in my entire lifting career. Like I just went heavy and hard and like five days a week, right? There was this week, I took an extra day off because I literally was like, I can't lift my hands up over my head. But I don't know how people deal with massive stress without exercise. Like I know. Clint: without exercise. Like I know. Well, they don't. Right. Right. Or they find a different med. But I'm telling you, that has been the most empowering. Johnna: Right, right, or they find a different med. But I'm telling you, that has been the most empowering tool. ⁓ And we've talked about it in past podcasts, how it helps with depression and anxiety and stress and whatever. And I just read a study this morning about how actually when you're lifting weights, it quiets the noise in your brain. And that like, scientifically, right? It's not just Jonna saying it. They ran studies. So that was that's been super helpful. The other thing is listening to birds. I've been like an avid bird listener for the last three weeks, just going outside, listening to the birds. and also doing breath work, putting my hand on my heart, breathing, finding my center. And then the biggest thing happened yesterday when the sun came out and I went and laid in the sun and actually, I don't know for you YouTubers, I don't know if you can see, I got a sunburn. It changed my life. Clint: The thing happened yesterday when I got a sunburn. It changed my life. It didn't in an hour time span. It changed my life. But there were moments where I was... Johnna: like in an hour time span. It changed my life. But there were moments where I was buzzing. It wasn't I really thought about this. It wasn't anxiety. It was like I was buzzing inside of my body. Listeners, have you ever had like that? Just it was so intense and there was nowhere to move the energy, you know, just I had to live in the buzz. So it's been a lot. Clint: Yeah. Yeah, it has. It's important. I think I was thinking about this as you were talking. It's important to keep in mind that those things that were these things that we're talking about working out whatever your version of listening to the birds. And I would say everybody should have that version. Yeah. Johnna: Yeah. Yeah, sitting outside getting in nature. Clint: You can, yeah, stack other things on it. That's great, but it's just being outside even just for a few minutes. Those aren't things that alleviate the stress. Those are things that help you manage the stress. And I think that's an important distinction and it might sound, for some of you listening, it might sound like, no shit. You still have all those things going on. Johnna: Yeah. ⁓ Clint: but I think we get caught up in a stress relief. Exactly, yeah. When you have a bunch of stress going on and you go and you get a great workout in, Johnna: Yeah, like it goes away automatically? Clint: The stress is still there. You just walk out of the gym feeling like, okay, now I can handle it. Now my mind's quiet enough that there's gonna be certain things that are out of my control that I just have to embrace or deal with or whatever you're gonna do with those certain things that are in my control that now I need to take some action and do whatever that might be, whatever your stress is. So I just think I can't reiterate enough Johnna: Totally. Yeah. Clint: that that all these things you know the breath work or excuse me grounding or things that we've talked about another podcast and we still very much believe in they're they're not cure-alls Johnna: You know, I, yes, I'm glad that you brought that up. I just think it expands your capacity to hold the stresses of life. That's what it does for me, right? So when I'm working out and sweating hard, it also makes me feel strong because when you have moments where, you know, this is the other thing I'm really glad you brought up out of my control. Clint: I just think it expands your capacity ⁓ to hold the stresses of life. That's what it does for me. So when I'm working out and sweating hard, it also makes me feel strong. Because when you have moments where, this is the other thing I'm really glad you brought up, out of my control, all of these things are completely out of Johnna: All of these things are completely out of my control. And that can feel very just. crazy like what do I do where do I go you know and it's completely out of my control and so I had to move through that letting go like there's nothing I can do about these situations I can control myself and that's all I can do that's both freeing and frightening all at the same time. It really is. ⁓ Clint: Here's maybe a dirty little secret that Instagram influencers or other people trying to sell you something or whatever maybe won't say. With those things that are out of your control and learning how to deal with them, there's no panacea. There's no quick fix. it's just unfortunately or maybe fortunately, depending on how you wanna look at it, it comes down to you just have to fucking do it. And that's something that's been hard for me to really wrap my head around or grasp, guess, knowing that as moving from my old life into this life, thinking, okay, now I've got the fix. I've got the solution and you don't. You've got tools to help you. But yeah, it's still, you're still just gonna have to buckle down and make decisions and stick with your decisions of, okay, this is something I can't control. So I cannot let it fuck up everything else that I can control because that's where you get into such trouble. Johnna: I feel like it's tools so you don't spiral into anxiety, massive depression, you know, I mean, and it's important to feel all the feelings. So this is my, you know, battle. Clint: you know, battle because I'm like, okay, don't be angry. Don't because I don't want to put that angry vibration out or don't be sad or don't worry because I'm putting all of that out. Right. If I'm worrying for someone, then I'm sending them work. If I'm sad for someone, then I'm if I'm sad for myself, then I'm myself sadness. So Johnna: because I'm like, okay, don't be angry. Don't because I don't want to put that angry vibration out or don't be sad or don't worry because I'm putting all of that out, right? If I'm worrying for someone that I'm sending them worry. If I'm sad for ⁓ someone, then I'm if I'm sad for myself, then I'm myself sadness. So but I still have to work through those emotions, right? Clint: But I still have to work through those emotions, right? Emotions are guideposts, so moving through those emotions has been, you know, kind of debilitating, honestly. Johnna: or guideposts. So moving through those emotions has been, you know, kind of debilitating. Honestly, I'm not, I'm not even gonna front. think for the first time ever. Yeah, or yeah, I actually reached out for help. Like I reached out. I have a book club with a bunch of ladies and I had a situation come up. And I couldn't meet for book club because I had a situation and I actually asked for prayer. I don't do that. That's very ⁓ not old John. Right. Asking for help. I'm not someone who asks for help ever. But I did. I was like you know what I can't I can't do this. certain task on my own. So I'm going to need some help and allowing other people to help me. And it's been the most rewarding thing because you know, I sent out a we have a group chat. I sent out a message and I just said, you know what, these are some bullet points of what's going on. I really need some prayer and good vibes, please. And these women responded just in droves and not just at that initial text, but days later, I'm just checking in on you. So I want to encourage the listener too, if you are, all the masks are off. Okay, you're the fire horse, the planets, all the things I'm not going to get into all the alignments and what's going on. But masks are being ripped off. It's really important that you ask for help. And I know that that can be really vulnerable and really, Oh, but I put off a vibe that everything's perfect all the time. So I can't do that time to stop because you're probably buzzing like I was, you know, or you're just breaking down. It's okay to ask for help to ask for prayer to ask for can we get coffee, whatever that looks like to you in your ⁓ in your circle, it's okay to ask for help. And I'm saying that, like to myself, because I did that. And it, it wasn't, ⁓ fuck you, Jana, I don't have time for you. And, people reached out, they were so supportive, so supportive. And people that I thought would be supportive, not supportive. That's the other lovely thing. I was thinking about this today. When you go through hellacious times, it is such a tell for who has your fucking back. It is such a tell. And the people that you thought had your back, don't they don't have your back and the people that maybe you didn't think would have your back absolutely have your back and so that is one of the biggest blessings of going through multiple layers of bullshit ⁓ is knowing who is on your side. Who's there for you? Who, you know, is going to let you ugly cry, you know, and just snot everywhere. I met, you know, with Ada last week. She's just such a lovely friend. And I literally like did the convulsing, you know, cry. It's so helpful when one of your best friends is a life coach. I just like, dude, how did I score here? Because she's like, John, I'm not going to say anything. I am just gonna create space for you to do what you need and I was like, ⁓ my gosh Someone is not trying to solve my problem because there's no solving right? She just brought me a box of tissue and like rubbed my arm and I just like ugly cried and it was lovely Yeah, and I felt so much better. That's the other thing ⁓ That you can do to release copious amounts of stress is cry Yeah. So what have you done? you know, you, I've just poured my whole heart out. I want to know what you've been doing. Okay. ⁓ great. Yes. ⁓ Clint: Hold on, maybe nobody even heard any of that. I'm not sure. But be open to receiving help. Because that's a tough thing to do. It's one thing when you take that first step of, okay, I'm gonna reach out, I'm gonna throw this out there. But then actually following through with it and being part of that help that you asked for. Yeah, and now I'm trying to think of the other point that I was trying to That's okay Anyway, what did you what were you asking me? No before that Johnna: Was I asking you something? I was just talking about receiving. ⁓ yeah, I was asking what have you done? That's what I what do you do in these times? Because you've been in this stress ball too. Clint: That's what I, what do you do in these times because you've been in this stress ball too. It certainly exercise helps, but like we were just talking about the other day, I'm in a routine where I'm working out six days a week. And you know, sometimes maybe it's five, but six is. Yeah, because you I guess you've been doing it with I mean we've been doing it together. Yeah, but I usually take a rest day on Wednesday. ⁓ yeah But yeah, so we were talking and and that's always one of the things obviously we've said that so it's one of the things that's advocated for is exercise but Johnna: Yeah, but I usually take a rest day on Wednesday. I mean, not a complete rest day. No day is a complete rest day for me just because of my job. anyway. Clint: Believe it or not, you're gonna hear on this podcast, there is too much exercise. You still have to listen to your body. And so if you're, you know, if you're in a point where you're feeling stressed, like, okay, well, I already worked out for like an hour and a half today, and it's one in the afternoon. Am I gonna go work out some more? Maybe some people, that works great. But yeah, it's just. Johnna: I had that thought the last couple of weeks. I couldn't lift my arms, so what the hell was I gonna do? Clint: ⁓ But it so that's one thing but it can't be the only thing and You know, I've I've really tried to spend time In my version of meditation and my version of meditation means I'm Just sitting somewhere I'm not necessarily like, you know doing mantras or trying to get to some other mental space or anything. I'm also not quieting my mind. Because I... I don't want to work to quiet my mind in those times. At least that's what I've been doing is just letting it go. Letting it run, see where it goes, and then addressing the things that are coming up. The best that I can. Some of it's like, why the hell am I thinking about this? What is this? I'm really trying right now not to dig too deep into anything. Johnna: Yeah. Clint: and just deal with the things that are already here. But that being said, there are times where something will come up, a thought will come up, or somebody will just make like a offhanded comment. I mean, usually it's you, because I'm mostly talking to you. And I don't mean offhanded, like in a negative way or just some random, hey, did see that pickup that drove by? Whatever. And it just spurs something for whatever reason. Johnna: Yeah. Clint: In those cases, then I am trying to dig in, but not to like fix myself, not doing that self work, you know, that people talk about, that we talk about sometimes. Just really trying to understand what's going on in my head. Yes, because that is the thing that I can control. Johnna: Sometimes. So being an observer of your own thoughts. Clint: I wish I could remember the quote. It was fantastic. in essence, you can't control the thought that you have, but you can control what you do with that thought. Well, you can't control the first thought, but you can control the second thought. Exactly, yeah. Johnna: Or you can't control the first thought, you can control the second thought. Exactly. Yeah. Clint: And so I've been trying to control those second thoughts and seeing where that goes. And you know, to this point, I would say it's mixed results. Honestly, there are times where that's taken me into a worst feeling, a worst place. And then it's just like buckle down. Try to get through it. Well, it's really interesting because as you're speaking, I thought, you know, and I just kind of thought about the last three weeks in terms of you. Johnna: Yeah. it's really interesting because as you're speaking, I thought, you know, and I just kind of thought about the last three weeks in terms of you. And I thought it, you know, the divine masculine, it's important that they create the container for. Clint: And I thought it, you know, the divine masculine, it's important that they create the container for the feminine to... Johnna: the feminine to have this emotional roller coaster of that's the job of the divine masculine without belittling or saying you're too much or you're too emotional or you're too whatever because turns out that's how we were created and so we can't just go against how we were created which a lot of women have Clint: this emotional roller coaster of that's the job of the divine masculine without belittling or saying you're too much or you're too emotional or you're too whatever because turns out that's how we were created and so we can't just go against how we were created which a lot of women have and that's why they're so dysregulated Johnna: And that's why they're so dysregulated. But what I'm saying all this because I wanted to say that Clint, you've done a really good job of just being like a strong tower. I want you to know that. Yeah, because if you were dysregulated or emotional or reacting to I mean, I've had some pretty big flip outs like big. OK, I mean, I punched, punched a Clint: You've done a really good job of just being like a strong tower. I want you to know that. I really appreciate that. Because if you were dysregulated or emotional or reacting to... I mean I've had some pretty big flip outs. Like this. I mean, actually punched a... Human. No, I did punch you! Yes. Yeah, okay. I punched Clint. I was so angry. Johnna: ⁓ No, I did punch you. Yeah, OK. I punched Clint. I was so angry and it was I wasn't mad at him. I was just fucking pissed because of war, because that sounds like a good plan. ⁓ I punched you and you were just like, okay, you know, not like, fuck you or anything. But I also punched a bench at the gym. Yeah, I punched a bench. I did. Yeah. One. Well, most of my clients, but one in particular is a pretty good friend. And we actually not even one in particular, like 10 in particular, but this one we were talking about some things and I punched a bench and she was like, I'm Clint: ⁓ did you? did. We actually not even one in particular, like ten in particular, but this one we were talking about some things and I punched a bench and she was like, yeah, I'm surprised we both just did start punching the bench. I'm saying this and sometimes you need to do that, ladies and gentlemen, you know, just. Johnna: surprised we both just did start punching the bench but I'm saying this and sometimes you need to do that ladies and gentlemen you know just maybe punch something it's the energy has to move this is what I really want to say the energy has to move out of the body and so this is why crying and you know exercising and Clint: Maybe punch something. The energy has to move. This is what I really want to say. The energy has to move out of the body. And so this is why crying and you know exercising and Johnna: being in the sauna or grounding because when you put your feet on the planet, it discharges that energy out of your body. It's so important that you move it because if you don't, then that's when the crippling depression, anxiety and all of the things happen. Clint: being in the sauna or grounding, because when you put your feet on the planet, it discharges that energy out of your body. It's so important that you move it, because if you don't, then that's when the crippling depression, anxiety, and all of the things happen. And the other side of that, and I'm trying to formulate how to work this analogy, so it might be a little wonky, but. in building the tools that we talk about, it allows you to release that energy in maybe not necessarily a positive way, but in not a negative way. You know, meaning like, I mean, we're joking, not joking, you did actually punch me, but it wasn't like we were in an altercation. ⁓ Right, exactly. Yes, that's exactly what I'm trying to say. Johnna: No, or you're not gonna flip out at the lady during checkout or flip out when you're yeah when you're driving down the road like it's so important. Yeah. Yes. Clint: Or at your kids or at your spouse or those thing, you know at a co-worker It's so important that you move the energy out of your body in some way that you know works for you. We've talked about breath work. Johnna: Because that matters. That matters. you know, that has also happened in the last three weeks. But not with us, but just people that we talked to. It's so important that you move the energy out of your body in some way that You know, works for you. We've talked about breath work. We've I've talked in other podcasts about rage dancing. That's super helpful as well. Exercising, whatever that looks like for you. What are some of the other ones, Clint, that, I did I say breath work? Listening to the birds like there's so much peace in just being in nature and putting your feet on the planet. That's what I've been trying to do. Put my feet on the planet to get that energy. Clint: We, I talked in other podcasts about rage dancing. That's super helpful as well. exercising, whatever that looks like for you. What are some of the other ones Clint that, did I say breath work? Listening to the birds, like there's so much peace in just being in nature and putting your feet on the planet. That's what I've been trying to do. Put my feet on the planet to get that energy out. It has to fucking move. I also think it's important. There that goes again. That's my new absolutely. Yeah. ⁓ Johnna: Important? ⁓ Clint: Well, one thing that we did together, but it came to my mind and something that I like to do a lot is just yard work. So what I was gonna say is getting the energy out and you've kind of, you've talked about it some like with breath work and with watching birds. It doesn't always have to be punching a bench or moving heavy weights around or going on a sprint or like it doesn't have to be super physically exerting. Johnna: Although that's helpful. Clint: It is what but what I'm saying is I like to putter I like to putter outside and so it was just picking up limbs You know cutting a few off of a tree There was a bunch that we had already done and then we got snow Whatever, but we were able to to set a couple little slash piles that we have on fire Johnna: Yeah. Clint: And so we burned those and even just going and collecting the other random debris around to put on the fire, even just tending to the fire. It still, it served that same purpose. And it wasn't like I was sprinting around or trying to pick up a whole tree to drag over there, you where I was gonna feel completely physically exhausted. Johnna: Yeah. Clint: but just getting out and doing something. So I think the point is there isn't a right thing. Exercise is a great thing. Johnna: I think it's different for everyone. here's the important thing, you can't let it fester. Clint: You can't let it fester. Mm-hmm. That's what is a non-negotiable in terms of like your health and wellness I don't care if it's mental. I don't care if it's physical like you can't let it fester it has to move of course, I'm always going to advocate for going to the gym and Moving it with heavy weights because I am telling you right now. I can't even tell you how amazing that is when you are just Johnna: That's what is a non-negotiable. In terms of like your health and wellness, I don't care if it's mental, I don't care if it's physical. Like you can't let it fester. It has to move. Of course, I'm always going to advocate for going to the gym and moving it with heavy weights because I am telling you right now, I can't even tell you how amazing that is when you are just... Clint: And it's even it's even expanded more in those situations We talk all the time about just getting through the door You're not wanting to go and then but going anyway when you're really feeling like shit in a stress way Johnna: pissed and shit's going down and it's so gnarly. feels so good to go lift heavy things. Clint: I know for me sometimes I just, I wanna shut down. I have to fight that urge to shut down. And so going to the gym is one of those shutdown things. Like, no, I'm not gonna go. I don't know, who cares? It doesn't matter anyway. None of this shit matters. Life doesn't fucking matter. Who cares? I'm out. Like, okay. Now I got that out. Now I'm gonna go to the gym and that feeling. Johnna: Yeah. doesn't fucking matter. Who cares? I'm ⁓ out. Yeah. OK. I know. I got that out. Clint: After those workouts when you didn't want to go not because it was just like ⁓ I just want to watch a movie But it's like fuck everything. I don't want to do anything and then you go and you move a bunch of heavy metal around it's it's exponentially more than when it know what it normally feels like which is fantastic Johnna: Yeah, I think for me, you know, I have never not felt like going to the gym more than I have in the last three weeks. And I've done it anyway, because that's just what I do. ⁓ But the empowerment that has come after that workout has been like, I can do fucking anything. Clint: and I've done it anyway because that's just what I do. ⁓ But the empowerment that has come after that workout. has been like, I can do fucking anything. Including, and to reiterate what we were saying earlier, now deal with the stresses. Now deal with the underlying causes or whatever that might be of what those stresses are. Now I got my shit out. Now. negative the energy out, so now I have the capacity for more. It's just the facts though, right? Johnna: Yeah. ⁓ Yeah. Yeah. I got the negative energy out so now I have the capacity for more. ⁓ It's just the facts though, right? Because it just, I mean, I told you, I think this morning, I've used this analogy like forever. ⁓ You know, feeling caught inside a swell when you're surfing, you you take that first wave in, you're caught inside, you got to duck dive to get all the way out. I felt like I was caught inside without a board. Without a board in murky, nasty, Clint: I mean I told you I think this morning I've used this analogy like forever you know, feeling caught inside a swell when you're surfing, you know, you take that first wave in, you're caught inside, you gotta duck dive to get all the way out. I felt like I was caught inside without a board. Without a board in murky, nasty, Oregon coast surf. I literally, was like, am I ⁓ gonna be able to move through this? Like, seriously. Johnna: organ coast surf like I literally it was like am I am I gonna be able to move through this like seriously and I did no I did like I remember waking up it was yesterday I think I woke up and I was like ⁓ what there's Jonah there she is right and then the Sun came out and I got to lay in it so it just added to that Clint: I felt like, ⁓ sorry, go ahead. No, I did. Like I remember waking up, it was yesterday I think, I woke up and I was like, what? There's Jonna, there she is, right? And the sun came out and I got to lay in it, so it just added It was amazing. Yeah. So what were you gonna say? I was just gonna say I felt like I was in a room with a thousand people that I didn't know and we just had to do constant icebreakers. That's my same level of what you're talking about being caught in water. And you know, whatever it is for somebody, that's what it is. But it just, it's been... Johnna: Yeah. Clint: It's been really nice to have those tools. I mean, I feel like a broken record, but I can't overemphasize it enough. Especially when you're first, if you've been on this journey with us, we haven't called it a journey in a while. on this journey with us for a year plus that we've been doing it and you're in some kind of a, what you think is a better place or you've made changes, you've done the things, you you're eating better, you're going to the gym, you're doing those things, then all of a sudden it feels like, well, I've done all this shit. Why? Because I feel like complete shit right now. So what was the point? What was the point of getting up at four o'clock in the morning to go to the gym three days a week and not eating McDonald's and coming home and cooking and and dealing with my inner child and my central nervous system healing and all this stuff and then and I've done all these things and now this fucking fire horse comes and I I don't even recognize myself as a person So what was the point of it all? But the point of it all is to be able to handle it. I totally agree. Like, I can say for a fact, had I not gone through all of the things last year that I went through, and I would have just stepped into the chaos of what has been happening for the last, you know, the, Johnna: I totally agree. Like I can say for a fact, had I not gone through all of the things last year that I went through, and I would have just stepped into the chaos of what has been happening for the last, you know, the, Clint: I don't know overnight. I don't know. Yeah, like I just would have flipped out Johnna: bigness of it has been in the last few weeks, but this has been burning for a long time. There's, I would have gone apeshit. I seriously, probably would have packed all my shit and moved. I don't know, overnight. I don't even know what I would have done. Like I just would have flipped out. So I'm grateful that I have those tools. And that's why we talk about the tools. But guys, you actually have to use the tools. Like listening to this does not change your situation, right? It won't make you feel better or give you the capacity to handle. You actually have to walk these things out, right? Move your body, touch the planet, listen to the birds. Clint: So I'm grateful that I have those tools and that's why we talked about the tools. But guys, you actually have to use the tool like listening to this does not change your situation, right? It won't make you feel better or give you the capacity to handle. You actually have to walk these things out, right? Move your body, touch the planet, listen to the birds. Johnna: reach out to your circle, take the mask off. I know for a fact that people aren't doing well. They're not because I work with the public and 99.9 % of the people are like, ⁓ shit's real right now, like real heavy. And so as a collective humanity, we need to lean on each other, right? ⁓ Clint: reach out to your circle, take the mask off. I know for a fact that people aren't doing well. They're not because I work with the public and 99.9 % of the people are like, ⁓ shit's real right now, like real heavy. And so as a collective humanity, we need to lean on each other. I remembered the other thing I was gonna say. Oh, yay! I thought I just saw it rrrr! Yeah. I wasn't sure if you had a new thing. That was about you. Oh, share. And I'll go somewhat delicately, and then if you want to expand, you can. But, what, I'm gonna speak for you, and correct me if I'm wrong. Johnna: ⁓ yay. thought I just saw like, rrr, happen. wasn't sure if he had a new thing. All right. ⁓ share. Clint: But part of the concern with you reaching out to people is you are the one that's supposed to help people. You're the fixer. You're the strong person. And when you reach out to somebody, if you're that kind of a person, it feels like I can't ask for help because people ask me for help. And once I show that vulnerability, then... why are people gonna ask me now? Now I've shown that I'm not this pillar of strength. I need help too. And so that can prevent some people. I know some of you listening feel the exact same way. That can prevent you from asking for help. But it turns out... all those same people look at you the exact same way, if not more of a pillar of strength after you've reached out and asked for help. Because it shows that you're human. It shows your fullness, right? and. Johnna: Yeah. Clint: And that just exemplifies, or not exemplifies, amplifies the strength that you have to be able to do that. So it's not like you asking for help now all of sudden everybody's like, oh well, I don't know, she doesn't know anything. She does a wellness podcast and she can't even figure things out. It's not like that at all. It's the opposite of that. Johnna: Yeah, no. Yeah. And I literally needed help. Like, and I messaged the ladies. I was like, I felt your prayers. And I did. I did. I know the power of prayer and good vibes. I know it. And I felt it. And it literally was like, you know, one of the things that definitely got me through that specific situation. But Clint: I did. know the power of prayer and good vibes. I know it. And I felt it in it literally was like, you know, one of the things that definitely got me through. Johnna: Use your tools guys. We just gave you a bunch of tools. it going to make you feel, you know, happy and lovely again? No, you know, I'm not going to lie to you. Like after you do, you know, box breathing, you're not going to be like, ⁓ yay, I feel great about my son going to war. No, but you're going to, you're going to be calmed down so that you can see things from a different perspective. Right? We get that tunnel vision and, and that. Clint: Use your tools, guys. We just gave you a bunch of tools. Is it gonna make you feel happy and lovely again? No. I'm not gonna lie to you. After you do box breathing, you're not gonna be like, ⁓ yay, I feel great about my son going to war. No, but you're going to be calmed down so that you can see things from a different perspective. You get that tunnel vision and. I hope that this was helpful. I really do. If it was, let us know. Give us a comment. And if you think this could help somebody else, share it. ⁓ Johnna: Yeah, share it. Yeah, because I know that there's a lot of people going through it out there and it's so important that you have tools. It just is like I don't even know how people are. I feel like I have really broad shoulders in terms of taking on a bunch of stuff. And I literally was like all hands on deck this week. I have to do all the tools. So. Clint: feel like I have really broad shoulders in terms of taking on a bunch of staff. And I literally was like all hands on Johnna: If I have to use all the tools, then I know that there are people out there struggling. And so definitely share this with someone and do the things. That's what I really want to say is do the things. Don't just listen. And I'm pointing to you. You're going to take us out. You're the take us out person. Yeah, but I brought, did I bring us in? Clint: Definitely share this with someone and do the things. That's what I really want to say is do the things, don't just listen. You're the take us out person. Yeah, but I brought, did I bring us in? Yeah, now you're the bring us in and take us out person. Wow, now you can take us out. We clearly do these things on the fly. Yes, we do. Thank you for listening. Johnna: Wow. Now you can take us out. Yes, we do. Clint: and we'll talk to you soon.
