- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Well, good morning.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for coming out this morning.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: My name is Tiffany Swedenski.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: I am the owner and founder of Sharp Cookie.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: I am a fractional CMO for law firms.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: I've been in the legal marketing space for the last 11 years.
- 0:15I got my started as a digital marketing specialist for Ben
- 0:19Glass and Great Legal Marketing.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: I'm a full stack web developer, pre-Chat GPT, I'm really proud to say.
- 0:25And today I am here to talk with you about how your law firm
- 0:29and your marketers can
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: leverage AI and AI tools to give the most out of your marketing.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: So I am very happy to be standing up here today and talking with you.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: I've had the privilege of working with some incredible law firms,
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: including Scott McMair down in New Orleans,
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Premier Law Group in Seattle,
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Parish Law Firm in Northern Virginia,
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: and now most recently,
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Ted Sink in South Carolina,
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Georgia.
- 0:55And I'm gonna share with you how I use AI tools to help me
- 1:01manage these law firms'
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: marketing departments.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: So raise your hand if you know what movie this is from.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: No one?
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, you're right there.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Aliens, which was the second one.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: So when I think about AI,
- 1:19I try to think about how I can use it to enhance what I'm
- 1:24already good at and
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: essentially build an exoskeleton.
- 1:28And today I have to show you how you can also build an AI
- 1:32exoskeleton that will
- 1:34help you execute on marketing and potentially lead an alien out
- 1:38of a spaceship.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: So when I think about how to use AI and what's the best use for it,
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I like to think in these waters.
- 1:47Because if we're being honest,
- 1:49humans are good at things,
- 1:51humans are bad at things.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: AI is good at things, AI is bad at things, right?
- 1:56And it's important to understand where our vulnerabilities and
- 2:00strengths lie in,
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: well,
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: ourselves and also these AI systems,
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: right?
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: So humans are generally not really good at memory and recall.
- 2:11We tend to overestimate how good we are at just remembering
- 2:16what happened.
- 2:17And a lot of you who are trial lawyers probably know that
- 2:20firsthand better than I am.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: But...
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Humans are bad at shacks, recall, analytics, and by and large, logic.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: We tend to backwards justify our decision making a lot.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: And AI, on the other hand, is bad at something very different.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: It's bad at originality.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: It's bad at, I'm formally an English major.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: It's bad at telling, not showing.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Or it's bad at showing, not telling.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: Basically,
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: it just states something without supporting it with facts,
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: without supporting it with knowledge.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And AI is bad at taking risks.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: And I feel like that should be underscored.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: And it's bad at self-reflection.
- 3:04I'm sure you guys have caught chat in its own kind of
- 3:08conflicting logic at times.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: It's very weird.
- 3:12On the flip side,
- 3:12humans are good at emotions,
- 3:16nuance,
- 3:16critical thinking,
- 3:17creativity.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: AI really hasn't taken that from us.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: We're still necessary in this process.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: On the other hand, AI is also good at things.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: It's good at a great many things.
- 3:29Organization,
- 3:30fact storage,
- 3:32data analytics,
- 3:33and also creating templates and drafts.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: I'm so grateful for AI that I don't have to create the first draft,
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: the template,
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: when I already know what it looks like,
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: and it's pretty routine,
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: right?
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: So marketers, think about it like this.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: You're in law firm owners.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Your time is your most valuable asset and you need to spend it wisely.
- 3:57And AI to help you expand your capabilities so you're not
- 4:02spending so much time
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: doing the stuff that you kind of hate doing,
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: right?
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: So just to give some examples of what you can do when you use AI is one,
- 4:14attend events like these and join mastermind groups and
- 4:18generally increasing your
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: knowledge and expertise.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Getting new skills,
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: delegating,
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: reviewing data,
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: enriching and training your team,
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: meeting your team.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: You can do all these things when you leverage AI.
- 4:34Now,
- 4:34I thought that first one was going to be easy,
- 4:36so I feel like this one's going to be hard.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Who here recognizes this still from a movie?
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: No?
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Can you do?
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Nope.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: You know, I thought you guys were going to get through all this.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: This is actually Johnny Mnemonic,
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: and I'll explain it a little bit more than I thought I was going to.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: It's a 1990s movie based on a
