- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Every day I'm hustling.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Written by me, Junk March.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: It is 2am on a Tuesday and my girlfriend,
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: now wife, isn't necessarily grumpy but she certainly isn't smiling.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: We've been writing names and addresses on envelopes for four hours
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: to send my Rheumatology at a Glance booklets to people who have ordered them.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: We are working our way through a pile of printed out orders
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: that I've been stacking up on top of my printer and so they are in time order.
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: We run out of the hundred books that got delivered that day and more aren't arriving
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: for another two days from the printers.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: If I was some weirdo on LinkedIn,
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: this would be a piece entitled, What I Learned About Business From Annoying My Wife.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: But instead, I'm a weirdo in mskmag and it is, What I Learned About Side Hustles and Pricing.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: I didn't plan to be successful.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: Let me indulge my own ego for a few lines.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: When I launched Rheumatology at Glance 1, rag 1, I did a week of pre-orders which did okay.
- 1:02SPEAKER_00: About 35 of them sold at £5 plus £1 post and packing.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: In the first three days,
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: so I ordered 50 and decided to send some to pals because I sort of broke even on it.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: Then two things happened at essentially the same time.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: One, I went away for the weekend without a computer.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Two, seemingly everyone who received a book tweeted about it.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was the golden days of Twitter.
