Transcript
- 0:28Hello everyone, and welcome back again to another Love,
- 0:31your love muscle.
- 0:32I hope you're doing good, that you're enjoying the sessions
- 0:35and a podcast so far.
- 0:39Uh, and as you can see, we're at some different place now
- 0:42by the ocean, or this is still ajo,
- 0:45they say I would call it ocean.
- 0:48And, uh, yeah, so we have a little bit more water,
- 0:50but also a little bit more boats maybe.
- 0:53And those you might, during the session, you might,
- 0:57you might experience those boats as distracting.
- 1:01And that's what our, uh, our session we just had
- 1:04with my Norwegian group, uh, was about as well,
- 1:07like distractions and how we do that, uh,
- 1:12during meditation, how we experience those.
- 1:16And we did a little exercise, a mindfulness exercise
- 1:20that consists of two parts that we're going to do today too,
- 1:24uh, where we just be mindful
- 1:27and experience our surroundings
- 1:29and notice how we react to it.
- 1:31What do we feel, what do we sense?
- 1:34What do we think about certain things that are happening
- 1:37around us during our meditation
- 1:41and how do we react with it?
- 1:45What do we think about certain things?
- 1:48Um, and uh, it was interesting
- 1:51because in the first part, we actually got quite disturbed
- 1:54by a lady with a dog that walked by
- 1:57and didn't really know what to do,
- 1:58and she was a bit, uh, agitated and, uh, irritated.
- 2:03And everybody noticed that even
- 2:04with her eyes closed, they noticed.
- 2:06They felt that this lady was irritated
- 2:07and agitated by us sitting there.
- 2:10And, uh, she thought we were blocking her way,
- 2:12but it was the end of the road, nevertheless.
- 2:15So she had to return, which agitated her even more
- 2:18that she found out that there was the,
- 2:20there was no further way there.
- 2:22Um, so we had a, a laugh about that afterwards.
- 2:27Uh, but then we changed our state
- 2:30of being a little exercise.
- 2:33And, uh, what happened then was that actually our whole
- 2:37surroundings became much quieter.
- 2:41And, uh, any other disturbances that were actually far away,
- 2:47we experience them differently as well.
- 2:50So that's what I want to do with you today as well.
- 2:52So, repeat of what I just did with my Norwegian group,
- 2:56I want you to experience the same thing.
- 2:59And I will soon turn the camera around
- 3:02so you can look out over some
- 3:04the beautiful landscape we have here.
- 3:06As you can see, the sun is slowly going down as well,
- 3:08so it's perfect picture, perfect moment,
- 3:12and, uh, enjoy the sounds.
- 3:15It's, uh, set. You can smell the ocean
- 3:17and you can feel the wind.
- 3:20But uh, yeah, you get the, you get the sense of it.
- 3:24And, uh, we do this little exercise
- 3:26where we change the state of being midway in meditation.
- 3:30And I'll ask you to see and notice the difference before and
- 3:35after that little self-regulation technique
- 3:38that is the middle part.
- 3:40Okay? So enjoy and I'll see you after the session.
- 3:59Okay? Welcome back
- 4:03and find a comfortable position.
- 4:05Make sure you have good enough support.
- 4:13Just move your body until you feel most comfortable.
- 4:21Settle down and just take a good look
- 4:25over the landscape.
- 4:27If you're watching the video of this session.
- 4:34And listen, listen in as you slowly close your eyes.
- 4:38Take a nice deep inhale through your nose.
- 4:42Feel those lungs with air,
- 4:43and as you breathe out, lower your shoulders,
- 4:46loose your jaw, try to relax a little bit more,
- 4:49but eat out, breath, breathe all the way out
- 4:52before you breathe in again through your nose
- 4:57and out through your mouth.
- 4:59Ooh, letting the day go, letting everything go.
- 5:04Settling down, settling down.
- 5:14Now breathe calmly and deeply.
- 5:24Calm, slow, deep breaths.
- 5:46No. And notice where in your body you
- 5:48feel your breath the most.
- 5:57Where do you feel your breath the most?
- 5:59Focus on that point there in your body
- 6:03where you feel your breath the most.
- 6:10Maybe it's in your nose, the back of your throat,
- 6:19your chest, your tummy.
- 6:32Focus on that point where you feel your breath the most,
- 6:36and notice how it feels breathing through that point.
- 7:01Maybe you feel the colder air flowing in
- 7:07the warmer air flowing out.
- 7:38Beautiful. Now, move your focus.
- 7:42Point your awareness into the middle of your chest,
- 7:45right there where your heart is.
- 7:49Focus on your heart space
- 8:01And it can help to focus on your heart when you put your
- 8:05hand on your chest right there where your heart is.
- 8:12And imagine breathing through your heart.
- 8:49Just imagine that you're breathing through your heart.
- 9:07As you breathe through your heart.
- 9:10Think about your heart's electromagnetic field,
- 9:19an electromagnetic field
- 9:20that stretches out several feet away from you.
- 9:28And imagine this field as a soap bubble surrounding you.
- 9:38And I want you that, I want you to enlarge this field,
- 9:41to make this field bigger with its breath.
- 9:48And as you do that,
- 9:53encapsulate more
- 9:55and more of your surroundings in that bubble.
- 9:59Become more and more aware of your surroundings
- 10:03that you put inside, that heartfield,
- 10:07that bubble around you.
- 10:14Breathe through your heart and become more
- 10:16and more aware of the sounds,
- 10:22the wind, the temperature,
- 10:32ray of the sun hitting your skin.
- 10:55Become more and more one with the nature around you.
- 11:15Observe everything
- 11:22through your heart, your ears, your skin.
- 11:40Sense it.
- 11:44You also notice what this does inside of you.
- 12:13Everything you notice as you observe,
- 12:20does it create a sensation inside of you
- 12:23is the positive sensation or negative sensation.
- 12:29Just keep track as you observe.
- 12:41And if there are any thoughts coming up,
- 12:48what type of thoughts are these and how do they affect you?
- 12:52What do you feel with them?
- 13:06Notice everything
- 13:14Become more one, become more the observer.
- 14:20Beautiful. I
- 14:25want you to become more aware
- 14:31of a period in your life where you felt
- 14:38great joy or gratitudes
- 14:44or appreciation.
- 14:49So think back about a moment in your life
- 14:52where you felt joy, gratitude,
- 14:58inspiration,
- 15:09which could be anything.
- 15:10This could be something you were grateful for today,
- 15:15weeks back, years back.
- 15:18Can be small, can be big.
- 15:23Just something that made you feel great, joy,
- 15:28appreciation, or
- 15:31inspired and grateful.
- 15:36And as you breathe through your heart, I want you to relive
- 15:39that moment as if it is happening right now.
- 15:45Not only see it in front of you,
- 15:50but also feel it.
- 15:52Feel it with your whole you. All of your being.
- 15:57Recreate that moment inside of you
- 15:59as if it is happening right now.
- 16:03Really go for it.
- 16:05As you breathe through your heart, feel your whole being.
- 16:08Feel your body with that feeling of joy, appreciation,
- 16:14inspiration or gratitude.
- 16:19Maybe you even notice your body reacting with a smile
- 16:23or warmth that's going through your body.
- 16:26And that's okay. That's your body reacting to
- 16:29that experience you're recreating.
- 16:40Really go for it.
- 16:42Fill your body with this gratitude that,
- 16:46that inspiration,
- 16:51the joy,
- 16:55the appreciation.
- 17:13Beautiful. Now hold on to that.
- 17:16Let that really go through your body
- 17:19and through all your cells as you slowly return
- 17:25to sensing your surroundings
- 17:27where you are right now in nature,
- 17:34letting that experience, that moment go,
- 17:38but keeping the memory, the state of being.
- 17:45Keep that with you. Keep that inside of you.
- 17:48Radiate outwards.
- 17:50Be that in that situation,
- 18:07I should become more aware
- 18:12of what is happening around you right now.
- 18:15Sense it. Listen
- 18:18to the sounds, feel the wind.
- 18:22Feel the temperature.
- 18:27Become more one wi it.
- 19:04And how do you experience your world right now?
- 19:22How does a sound that up uplifts your meditation?
- 19:28How do you experience it?
- 19:35How does a thought or feeling that comes up
- 19:38affect you right now?
- 19:49Observe and learn.
- 19:55And as always, if your mind wanders off completely,
- 20:01don't worry without any frustration.
- 20:05Just get back to your breath.
- 20:06Breathe through your heart and refocus.
- 20:12Refocus onto this moment
- 20:17and your surroundings.
- 24:06Beautiful. Now it's time to become more awake.
- 24:13Just breathe normally.
- 24:17Take a nice deep inhale
- 24:18and as you exhale, move your body back and forth
- 24:21and side to side.
- 24:24Wiggle with your fingers and toes.
- 24:27When you're ready, open your eyes. Welcome back.
- 24:33Welcome back. All right,
- 24:40so I hope you enjoyed that session.
- 24:43What did you think about that last part?
- 24:46Uh, how did you experience that boat that you hear
- 24:51heard coming by?
- 24:54Did you find it distracting
- 24:57or did you feel it in a different way than
- 25:01otherwise, That you
- 25:06sense distractions
- 25:07or experience distractions in another way?
- 25:10Maybe you found it easier to make that bold part
- 25:14of your meditation, and maybe you found it easier
- 25:17to appreciate the waves that you heard
- 25:20that the boat made afterwards, when the boat disappeared,
- 25:24there were waves coming in from the, from the,
- 25:26the wake from the boat giving a more, uh,
- 25:30calming effect again.
- 25:33Uh, and many people that do the the heart, heart-focused
- 25:37bits where they changed their state of being by
- 25:40experiencing something inside of them that gave them joy
- 25:44and appreciation and gratitude, once they hold onto
- 25:48that state of being, they experience the world
- 25:51around them in a different way.
- 25:54So what normally would be very frustrating for them, uh,
- 25:58would be less frustrating or not frustrating at all.
- 26:01Um, there is more appreciation, uh,
- 26:05because there are more in a state of appreciation.
- 26:08They experience things more,
- 26:11they appreciate things more as well.
- 26:14Uh, things that they normally would take for granted maybe.
- 26:18So there's a whole new dimension
- 26:22that you experience once you change your state of being, uh,
- 26:27whilst being inside the same environment.
- 26:30Right? And that's the dimension of
- 26:33how you experience things and how you think of things.
- 26:38So that's an important part that I teach a lot
- 26:42in my classes and workshops.
- 26:45Uh, if you are listening to this podcast
- 26:47and you don't see any video, uh, you would like
- 26:51to see the surroundings here.
- 26:53Uh, and you would like to see things more alive
- 26:56and you would like to like
- 26:58to have seen the boats become a patron member
- 27:00because all the recordings of my podcast are in video,
- 27:07and you can watch them as a patron member.
- 27:09And of course, if you're watching this live now,
- 27:12you also see the video, right?
- 27:15Uh, I don't have to explain it
- 27:17'cause you see it if you're watching this live.
- 27:20And that's, uh, also every other week.
- 27:22Just follow along and enjoy
- 27:25and, uh, yeah, uh,
- 27:28enjoy in our presence
- 27:30and do a, do this meditation in a group together.
- 27:34So I want to thank you for this episode,
- 27:39for this time, for this day.
- 27:41And uh, as you can see, the sun is setting.
- 27:46I'll try to record more of these sessions here in nature,
- 27:50uh, and see how far I can go
- 27:52before the weather gets too bad.
- 27:53But I think it would be nice if you see the changes in the
- 27:57environment here, uh, after a while as well.
- 28:00Uh, so, uh, you won't,
- 28:03you won't see me in a t-shirt all the time.
- 28:06No, I wear a t-shirt even if it's cold.
- 28:09Um, but uh, yeah,
- 28:12I hope you will join me throughout all these sessions
- 28:15and, uh, and enjoy, uh, wherever you are.
- 28:18The beautiful surroundings here,
- 28:20even though it's not it's nature,
- 28:22but there's still human beings around with their boats,
- 28:27their motors there, uh, a sports park not far from here
- 28:31as well that you sometimes here.
- 28:32So there are, there is human activity, uh,
- 28:36and human activity is part of nature as well.
- 28:40And human activity we always have around us
- 28:44and during meditation too.
- 28:46So it's a perfect environment to train, to practice.
- 28:50And please use the comments and a chat to, to talk to me
- 28:55and, uh, and engage and discuss things that you experience.
- 28:59So yeah, be active even, uh,
- 29:04even though this is a meditation podcast.
- 29:07Okay, take good care everyone.
- 29:10Have a wonderful rest of your evening,
- 29:12wonderful rest of your day.
- 29:13Be safe and hope to see you back soon. Namaste.
