- 0:05Speaker 1: Apologie production.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Ins and outs, ins and outs.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I love seeing what people are bringing more in and
- 0:16Speaker 1: say goodbye to. I think it's so cool and really
- 0:18Speaker 1: inspirational as well. My first in is more self development books,
- 0:22Speaker 1: but listening to them. So I really struggled last year.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I set a goal toory twelve books. I read eleven,
- 0:27Speaker 1: which is really big for me, But the self development
- 0:29Speaker 1: books I really struggle with, and Steve was like, why
- 0:31Speaker 1: don't you try to listen to them? So I'm listening
- 0:33Speaker 1: to twelve self development books this year and reading twelve
- 0:36Speaker 1: nonfiction so I'm going to double the amount of books
- 0:38Speaker 1: I did last year. But listening to them, I just
- 0:41Speaker 1: feel like I retain the information a lot easier when
- 0:43Speaker 1: it's self development. Yeah, but with fiction, I love being
- 0:47Speaker 1: lost in reading the story.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I agree.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I don't carry this guilt or resentment like oh I
- 0:52Speaker 1: can't get into my self development book and I was
- 0:54Speaker 1: frustrated that I couldn't get through it, But listening to
- 0:56Speaker 1: it of my walk, I'm like, cool, easy.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Something else that's really helped me is if I highlight.
- 1:00Speaker 2: If I highlight as I go when I read a
- 1:01Speaker 2: self development I find it a lot easier. But audiobook's great,
- 1:05Speaker 2: so good, so good keeping our spaces clean because I
- 1:10Speaker 2: know you've been cleaning everything out in your house and
- 1:12Speaker 2: I've just been really loving keeping up with everything. And
- 1:14Speaker 2: when you've got a tidy space, it feels so nice.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Tidy car, all those things, and I'm like, here, I
- 1:18Speaker 2: just take the extra two minutes to take this shit
- 1:20Speaker 2: out of your car literally when you pull up at home,
- 1:22Speaker 2: and especially in my car, like my car can get
- 1:25Speaker 2: real bad.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Yeah, when I hopped in your car, I was like,
- 1:27Speaker 1: don't judge me. I can't even put my feet on
- 1:29Speaker 1: the floor. And I've been given a gifted a vacuum
- 1:33Speaker 1: cleaner for my car, which I know sounds very unromantic,
- 1:35Speaker 1: but I was saying to Super so long, I want
- 1:36Speaker 1: to get a back and cleaner for my car because
- 1:38Speaker 1: I love a cleaned car, Like it's just this new thing.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Clean space me just helps me. I feel more calmer
- 1:43Speaker 1: than my space is cleaned. And then you've got a
- 1:45Speaker 1: vacuum cleaner for your car.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I won't put one. You was telling me about it,
- 1:48Speaker 2: and I was like, that's a great idea. I was like,
- 1:50Speaker 2: I'm going to get one.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I know, but it really does help you, especially I
- 1:54Speaker 1: feel like if you are a creative person, if your
- 1:57Speaker 1: space is clean and light and airy, and you feel
- 2:00Speaker 1: good in your space, you have way more room mentally
- 2:03Speaker 1: to be able to be more creative. Yeah, it makes
- 2:05Speaker 1: a huge difference. And for me, more regular acupuncture now
- 2:09Speaker 1: I've scheduled in every single month, I just find the
- 2:12Speaker 1: biggest difference in my nervous system, my energy, how calm
- 2:15Speaker 1: I am. It's like the biggest reset. I feel like
- 2:18Speaker 1: going to one acupunctial appointment for me is like getting
- 2:20Speaker 1: a whole extion nized sleep. It's so recovery. But because
- 2:24Speaker 1: it helps me recovery and it helps me be calm,
- 2:26Speaker 1: I feel so much more energized there. You go a
- 2:28Speaker 1: week before my period.
- 2:29Speaker 2: It's scared of acupuncture. I've never done it.
- 2:32Speaker 1: If you've got a tight like there's a part of
- 2:34Speaker 1: my shin that's always tight, so it kind of makes
- 2:36Speaker 1: you jump, But I just don't get it in that point,
- 2:38Speaker 1: and so.
- 2:38Speaker 2: It doesn't hurt at all.
- 2:39Speaker 1: Not even split second you feel a need I don't
- 2:41Speaker 1: want to say needle because it's so easy. Yeah, I'm
- 2:44Speaker 1: literally laying there with my eyes closed, and the lady
- 2:45Speaker 1: I go to she does like a full back massage
- 2:47Speaker 1: at the end, head massage, neck massage. It's honestly, you'd
- 2:51Speaker 1: feel your nervous system. You would love it, and your hormones,
- 2:54Speaker 1: your periods go a week before your period. It's helped
- 2:57Speaker 1: so much.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I should try it. I'm just a bit of a chicken,
- 2:59Speaker 2: so that's in.
- 3:00Speaker 1: More accupuncture.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Well, my inn is more regular sauna use again. I
- 3:03Speaker 2: feel like I was good, so good. I was doingly
- 3:05Speaker 2: five times a week. I was really really good and
- 3:08Speaker 2: I felt freaking fantastic. I felt so good when I
- 3:10Speaker 2: was doing it regularly. It is so good for me.
- 3:12Speaker 2: It's so great when I'm on my period. Yes, and
- 3:15Speaker 2: I just needed to get back.
- 3:16Speaker 1: On the bandwagon.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I love that.
- 3:18Speaker 1: More vitamin D. I feel like I'm not getting enough
- 3:22Speaker 1: vitamin D. And when I spoke to a match path
- 3:24Speaker 1: a little while ago, she was saying that majority of
- 3:27Speaker 1: the population is actually deficient in vitamin D and it
- 3:30Speaker 1: can really affect your sleep, your hormones, your moods, even
- 3:34Speaker 1: how well your body absorbs nutrients, so they reckon. I
- 3:38Speaker 1: think I heard it on Joe Rogan's podcast, like one
- 3:40Speaker 1: of the best things you can do for yourself is
- 3:41Speaker 1: like go out in the morning. Steve does it and
- 3:43Speaker 1: get sunlight on your eyes for five minutes on your
- 3:46Speaker 1: eyes and your eyes like open your eyes up and
- 3:48Speaker 1: look at the sun, like five minutes of direct vitamin
- 3:50Speaker 1: D like to awakens your body. Helps us great. So
- 3:53Speaker 1: I can have said this word Cicadian rhythm. Yeah, it's
- 3:55Speaker 1: so good.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I was supposed to look at the sun.
- 3:58Speaker 1: No, wow, apprent there you go. See feels so energized
- 4:01Speaker 1: doing it too, for like wakes his whole body up. Oh,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I love this. This is the thing. I think there's
- 4:05Speaker 1: a fine line of us being sold this story that
- 4:08Speaker 1: we have to always wear sunscreen, always cover up, and
- 4:10Speaker 1: be so careful with the Australian some which yes, for sure,
- 4:13Speaker 1: my mum's had skin cancer and chemo I think four
- 4:16Speaker 1: times now. For sure, I understand that. But vitamin D
- 4:19Speaker 1: is actually really healthy and really necessary for us to get.
- 4:21Speaker 1: So it's like a fine balance.
- 4:22Speaker 2: It is.
- 4:23Speaker 1: But I feel like I was not getting enough like
- 4:25Speaker 1: the other way, so I wanted to just incorporate more
- 4:28Speaker 1: vitamin D.
- 4:29Speaker 2: So my next one is keeping solid boundaries. I feel
- 4:33Speaker 2: like finally last year I had the self worth and
- 4:36Speaker 2: self respect to put some boundaries in place. Respectfully, kindly
- 4:40Speaker 2: from good place, not being rude or anything like that.
- 4:43Speaker 2: But I'm really happy and proud of the way that
- 4:44Speaker 2: I have honored myself and what I believe in, and
- 4:48Speaker 2: I want to continue.
- 4:49Speaker 1: To be that person you really work to stick in it. Yeah,
- 4:52Speaker 1: it's really proud from the outsider watching you implement that.
- 4:56Speaker 1: And we would have conversations where you'd be like, oh,
- 4:58Speaker 1: I just said no to her. I'm not replying to that,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and I'm like, wow, was she upset? And You're like,
- 5:02Speaker 1: I'm not sure, but that's not my responsibility. I'm like, wait, oh,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but you did it in such a loving, kind way,
- 5:07Speaker 1: and it was really inspiring for me. And I'm glad
- 5:09Speaker 1: you brought that up because I want other people to
- 5:10Speaker 1: hear that that it's okay for you to say no.
- 5:12Speaker 1: It's okay for you to be like no, that doesn't
- 5:14Speaker 1: feel good for me. I'm not gonna do that. I'm
- 5:15Speaker 1: not gonna write back to that person. I'm not gonna
- 5:17Speaker 1: go hang out with them. Just because they've always hung
- 5:18Speaker 1: out with.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Them doesn't mean being rude. It's not you not not
- 5:20Speaker 2: talking to you or ending on bad terms.
- 5:22Speaker 1: But you know what you're saying, Yes, to yourself, Yeah
- 5:25Speaker 1: fuck it. And that's so important and something I think
- 5:27Speaker 1: all of us really struggle with. But the more we
- 5:29Speaker 1: talk about it, the more we normalize it, the better
- 5:31Speaker 1: we'll get at it. Ins for me is more solo
- 5:34Speaker 1: dates with my kids. I really really love that one
- 5:36Speaker 1: on one time because anyone listening that has a big
- 5:39Speaker 1: age gap. Your youngest one takes up most of the attention.
- 5:44Speaker 1: You know, she is very demanding and knows what she wants,
- 5:47Speaker 1: and my oldest is a little bit more chill, but
- 5:49Speaker 1: you have to watch everything they do. They're not independent,
- 5:51Speaker 1: they're dangerous, so they're like I describe her as like
- 5:54Speaker 1: sunshine with a tat of hurricane, Like you've got to
- 5:56Speaker 1: watch everything she's doing. So my eyes are just on
- 5:58Speaker 1: her constantly. And she's also having a lot of first moments,
- 6:01Speaker 1: so there's a lot of like celebrating those moments. So
- 6:03Speaker 1: I feel like having solo time a tage is really
- 6:06Speaker 1: really special, and I've been doing that lately and it's
- 6:08Speaker 1: just nice to have that one on one connection because
- 6:10Speaker 1: when we're all together, I feel like, even with Taj,
- 6:12Speaker 1: like the attention is all on Tala, so just separate them.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Having that one on one time. That one on one
- 6:16Speaker 1: time is so special. It's very quality time. It is,
- 6:19Speaker 1: which is a love language of mine. Okay, so out
- 6:22Speaker 1: some for me is perfume. It gives me a headache. Yeah,
- 6:24Speaker 1: maybe not all of them, but I just notice, like
- 6:27Speaker 1: it's just too much scent. Yeah, Like I love using Hideaway.
- 6:30Speaker 1: It's obviously got a fragrance in there, but it's just
- 6:32Speaker 1: light enough to make me feel and smell really nice.
- 6:34Speaker 1: But Perfume, I'm like, oh heavy, it's a lot. Yes, yes,
- 6:38Speaker 1: that's out for me.
- 6:39Speaker 2: So and out for me, it's having reasons for doing
- 6:42Speaker 2: what I do. I'm just gonna do what I do,
- 6:44Speaker 2: and if somebody goes me, oh why are you doing that,
- 6:45Speaker 2: or like more so online or like questioning why I
- 6:48Speaker 2: do something, it's like because I want to and not
- 6:50Speaker 2: feeling a certain way about it, but just not even
- 6:52Speaker 2: having to tell somebody why I'm doing what I'm doing.
- 6:53Speaker 2: If I do something and it aligns well with me,
- 6:56Speaker 2: just kind of being like sweet, cool, cool, Yeah, I
- 6:59Speaker 2: love that.
- 6:59Speaker 1: For me, that's because I want to do it.
- 7:01Speaker 2: That's because I want to do it like a half myself.
- 7:03Speaker 1: No, yeah, I love that. Out for me is stagnant
- 7:07Speaker 1: energy old friendships or relationships or connections that I feel
- 7:11Speaker 1: like I have to get going. I have to keep trying,
- 7:13Speaker 1: and it feels hard. All the conversations I walk away
- 7:15Speaker 1: from just feeling a bit yeah, like not inspired and
- 7:19Speaker 1: not challenged and not that every conversation has to be
- 7:21Speaker 1: like that. Like I can literally sit in a room
- 7:22Speaker 1: with my friends and it'll be silent and it's beautiful. Yeah,
- 7:24Speaker 1: but the energy is matched. But I just feel like
- 7:26Speaker 1: this stagnant energy. I'm like, oh, this doesn't feel good anymore,
- 7:30Speaker 1: doesn't feel just like this inner knowing that soul contracts ended?
- 7:34Speaker 2: So what does it out mean for you? Does it
- 7:35Speaker 2: out for you? Mean? Just like not putting the effort in.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it's kind of allowing those friendships, relationships or connections
- 7:40Speaker 1: to do it ale away.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah, let them do their thing, let them take their course.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and not as I feel like I had attachments
- 7:47Speaker 1: to friendships lasting forever, yeah, and feeling like I always
- 7:51Speaker 1: need to help them and I always need to check
- 7:53Speaker 1: in on them, and I always need to do this
- 7:54Speaker 1: and that. It's like, actually I don't have to go Yeah,
- 7:58Speaker 1: I don't have to do that, And that also opens
- 8:00Speaker 1: up new space for me to get deeper connections, deeper
- 8:03Speaker 1: conversations with the people that I really am to me it.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Around, Yeah, I have more time.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yeah yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Next one for me is not feeling like I'm worth
- 8:10Speaker 2: investing in. Oh, I really like this one. So, whether
- 8:14Speaker 2: it be for my health, whether it be for my fitness,
- 8:16Speaker 2: whether it be for my well being, whether it be
- 8:18Speaker 2: for my coaching, whether it be for any element of
- 8:20Speaker 2: my life that I feel like I'm needing to put
- 8:23Speaker 2: work into, not feeling like I'm worth investing in.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's beautiful. Yeah, I love that.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Whether it be money, whether it be time, whatever it is,
- 8:31Speaker 2: because I feel like a lot of the things that
- 8:32Speaker 2: I used to tell myself too is like, oh I
- 8:34Speaker 2: can't find the time, But it's like, no, you can
- 8:35Speaker 2: find time to like do this and do that, and
- 8:38Speaker 2: be with your kids and have hours of your kids
- 8:39Speaker 2: a day. If you can't have hours of your kids
- 8:41Speaker 2: a day, just give yourself a little bit of grace
- 8:43Speaker 2: to do.
- 8:44Speaker 1: We need a few I had a DM from a
- 8:45Speaker 1: girl just maybe remember yesterday. It's just like I really
- 8:48Speaker 1: want to sign up to your challenge, but I just
- 8:49Speaker 1: can't justify spending the money on your app. But if
- 8:52Speaker 1: it was my daughter or my husband, I wouldn't even hesitate.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Can you help me like unpack this?
- 8:55Speaker 2: Oh wow?
- 8:56Speaker 1: Yeah? And I was like, well, you don't think you're
- 8:57Speaker 1: worth it then, But I was like, think of the
- 8:59Speaker 1: positive impact, Like you doing this for you actually impact
- 9:02Speaker 1: your relationship and your relationship with your daughter so much.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Your daughter is going to roll model what you do.
- 9:07Speaker 1: If she sees you putting time and effort into herself
- 9:10Speaker 1: into health and fitness and knowing that she's worth that,
- 9:12Speaker 1: she's then gonna copy that. You want to think that
- 9:15Speaker 1: this is for your family, and like, you know, you
- 9:16Speaker 1: wouldn't do it for yourself, but we're actually helping your
- 9:18Speaker 1: family by doing this for you. Yeah, you know there's
- 9:20Speaker 1: so many positive effects on you having a really healthy lifestyle.
- 9:23Speaker 1: But she just didn't think she's worth that twenty dollars
- 9:26Speaker 1: a month or whatever, but she wouldn't hesitate for her family.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I was like, that's really interesting. But I was like,
- 9:33Speaker 1: your little girl's watching everything that you do, and when
- 9:35Speaker 1: you go for a workout and you eat healthy, you
- 9:37Speaker 1: show up differently in your relationship. You have their energy,
- 9:39Speaker 1: your moods are improved, your sexualves improved, like your confidence
- 9:42Speaker 1: is improved and that overflows to everything that you do.
- 9:45Speaker 1: So yeah, we are all worthy of investing in ourselves
- 9:48Speaker 1: and it impacts positively on everything else in our lives.
