- 0:00Hey, tolerators, this week's episode is your trailer sneak peat into what goes
- 0:06on on our Patreon. So this month we have Julia Washington. We're getting
- 0:13a little look into an episode that her and I did at the beginning of
- 0:17the year, where we talked about how we manifest and sucles for the year.
- 0:22For me, it involves lengthy tarot readings, some manifestations, lightning,
- 0:29paper on fire, the full moon for jewels. It requires calendars, counting,
- 0:36math, goal indicators. We come to some common ground and we talk
- 0:41about goal setting and what it looks like to plan out a year. We
- 0:45are hoping to revisit it now that we are halfway through the year on a
- 0:50future Patreon episode. So make sure that you go ahead and head to patreon
- 0:55dot com and check out to all the men I've tolerated before there and our
- 1:00different tiers so you can join in on the fun. Oh you can raise
- 1:26it. Oh my gosh, just like zoom. It's just like I don't
- 1:34think it type you messages like oh my gosh. Patreon members, you are
- 1:40in for a treat today because we are experimenting with how we're recording the show
- 1:46and we're not just doing it through zoom and relying on their shitty audio.
- 1:49So if it sounds better, please let us know in the comments if you
- 1:57couldn't recognize the fabulous voice on the other end of the show, Jules is
- 2:01our January twenty twenty three guests, and we're going to be talking about how
- 2:06we set our intentions and our goals for the new year, because it's a
- 2:10new fucking year, new year, new you, new year, saying me,
- 2:15probably new problems year, new problems, right, new year, new
- 2:22problems. I finished my vision board last night during Critical Role because my goal
- 2:29was to have it done by today. Nice. So I saw that Penelope
- 2:34was absorbing it. Yeah, she immediately as soon as I walked away from
- 2:38it to me, I'll like and now I can concentrate on Critical Role.
- 2:42She like, you know, she will like dig get things that are papers.
- 2:46She's been bad about that with my junk journal. So I'm like,
- 2:51I slay to god, if I just did that and it looks amazing and
- 2:57you tear it up, we will not have a twenty twenty three. Okay,
- 3:04Penelope, you thought I loved you, right and then like she but
- 3:09she just sat in the middle of it. Staring at me, and I'm
- 3:12like, yes, bitch, and view it with your witchy powers. She's
- 3:15like, I'm just setting my intentions. She probably only like set the intention
- 3:21that I wrote out that was to keep her healthy. She's like, well,
- 3:24well you need to do that. You need to do that, but
- 3:29she needs to set the intention and not scare the shit out of you this
- 3:31year, also that so there will be no falling out of the windows and
- 3:37no health crisis. I don't know if you do this with Miss Joe Marge,
- 3:42but you know, pets get really hot on your lap because you guys
- 3:46are sharing body warmth the entire time. I'm like, do you have a
- 3:49fever? I'm constantly petting her head, like how do you check if an
- 3:54animal has a few fever? Because I also think that like part of hurrying
- 4:00and like the way that cats, it also heats him up. And my
- 4:02house is cold as fuck, so the cat probably is constantly like self warming
- 4:08and I'm like, are you hot? Do you have a fever? Josephine
- 4:12will shiver if it's too cold in this house. She'll start like and I
- 4:15don't know if it's like intentional or if she's doing it to be like,
- 4:18mother, it's cold, mother, And so then I'll like, Okay,
- 4:24here's a fuzzy blanket, and then she'll call like she'll just like warm.
- 4:28But it gets really hot here in the summer, like in the Triple digits.
- 4:33Anyway, I don't know. She's so funny. She's like a little
- 4:38princess. Our beds are so funny. But she does make the intention list
- 4:43every year that it's like, Penelope has to be healthy because we don't have
- 4:46money and I don't have a great headspace. So I would jove by the
- 4:51vet hospital today after I dropped off Joe for her grimmer appointment, and I
- 4:57was like, should I buy pet insurance? Is that expensive? It's no,
- 5:02And they make you think then it's like seventy five dollars a month.
- 5:05I feel like pet Smart has it for twenty five dollars a month. Okay,
- 5:11that's that's doable. That's because she is five now, and I do
- 5:17worry. I don't know. I feel like five is not old, but
- 5:24it's not young. When I told Stephanie's kids that Penelope was five, uh,
- 5:30the little girl twin looked at me, and you can only have about
- 5:32five good years left and I was like, what the fuck? How am
- 5:36I already this person at eight? Right? My friend's cat lived until twenty
- 5:42until she was twenty two, and I was like, jokes, bring the
- 5:45last four years she was on like she was like renal failure stuff. I
- 5:50was like, jokes are on you? I was like, which is familiar?
- 5:54Cats live for hundreds of years? Yes, they continue you and your
- 6:00family's line. I've read every Alice Hoffman book. Those cats were old,
- 6:04crotchety and living in a graveyard. Mmm, that's going to me. That's
- 6:11gonna be you old crotchety. I'm living in a graveyard. Probably is that
- 6:15your intention for twenty twenty twenty three move into graveyard? No? I didn't.
- 6:23I don't know. I did have somebody call me a witch because I
- 6:26predicted the time correctly, And I was like, how is that witchy when
- 6:30it's literally the sun like you just look out, said like, how do
- 6:34you not know how to tell time based on the sun? Or you just
- 6:39have a general awareness of how much time has spent pasting your day? I
- 6:44say that like it's a it's a easy thing to do, and I have
- 6:48time blindness. I never know. I'm like, is it Thursday yet,
- 6:54and they're like, well, namily, yesterday was Thursday and you did watch
- 6:58Critical Roles. Ye know, it's not Thursday yet because that's our tagline.
- 7:03Is it Thursday yet? And I'm like, oh, is it? And
- 7:06they're like, no, it's Friday. You watched it last night. Mine's
- 7:13But I'm better at it in the first thing in the morning because I am
- 7:15not a morning person. So when it's like when I wake up, when
- 7:20Joe comes in for food, and it's it's like because I don't keep a
- 7:25clock in my room. Yeah, I have a really good sense of time.
- 7:29And then once I'm up and moving then it's like I don't know what's
- 7:31happening. I don't know what I'm doing here? Why are we still doing
- 7:38this? Speaking of witchy familiars, I'm already sure that all of the ways
- 7:46that I make goals in twenty twenty three and every year is way witchy.
- 7:53And you probably make smart goals, like you probably have like a notebook with
- 7:57like a chart. I actually don't necessarily, I don't know. Maybe they
- 8:01are smart goals I always set out to do, so I set up I
- 8:07look at every month, so like in December, it's Okay, what do
- 8:11I want to achieve in in January? What do I have coming up in
- 8:16January? And how do I want to be successful in those things? Or
- 8:22what kind of bricks do I need to lay down to get to that thing?
- 8:24Because sometimes it's like this really big thing I want to achieve and it's
- 8:28not going to happen in thirty days because I don't like to plan out the
- 8:33full year because that feels like a not a lot of pressure. But as
- 8:39we've talked about in the past, in multiple times, like I'll make plans
- 8:43and then some motherfucker who knocked me up decides that I don't get to do
- 8:46those plants. Oh my god, I hope you're not getting knocked up in
- 8:50twenty twenty three. Your child just left the nest. I know that is
- 8:54not the goal. I actually don't think my body works like that anymore.
- 8:56If I'm gonna be honest, I should make an appointment with the doctor to
- 8:58check. I truly never thought that I was fertile, because like when I
- 9:05was a kid, I thought i'd be a mom, and then all of
- 9:07a sudden I got into my twenties, started having sex, and then made
- 9:11up this idea that I was infertile. Well, I mean there's I feel
- 9:16like, oh, this is terrible. I feel like there's some validity in
- 9:18that when you don't successfully get pregnant on action. Yeah, I had one.
- 9:24I wouldn't see scared and it was made up. I think I was
- 9:26just trying to make my boyfriend upset. I think it was the appeal Asian
- 9:33because like, like my son was an accident. He knows this, he
- 9:37knows that I wouldn't change that. But he's eighteen and I and I don't
- 9:41take birth control because I don't like the way it makes me feel. So
- 9:46I have had successful sex for eighteenish years and have only one child. So
- 9:52that's why I think things don't work properly anymore. Let's see, well,
- 9:56and think they did something to me because I was like twenty and it was
- 10:00a sister. It was a sister. I think they did something and didn't
- 10:03tell me. By the way, I wasn't laughing at infertility. I was
- 10:07laughing at the fact that my brain one day just willed myself to be infertile.
- 10:11It was like, and you won't have babies. You just don't want
- 10:15that. You just we've closed that off for you, I am on birth
- 10:18control. And every year, every time I listened to a podcast and they
- 10:22talk about birth control, I'm like, am I slowly poisoning myself? Like
- 10:26I saw like a reel about it yesterday, these two older women being like,
- 10:31we put these kids on birth control at twelve years old? What does
- 10:35that do to their brains in their hearts? I'm like, what's it doing
- 10:37in my brain? In my heart? But what are the qualifications to judge
- 10:41that? You know? I would love to get a doctor on the podcast
- 10:48and be like, can you confirm or deny if I am? I think
- 10:52I tried to ask my doctor one day. I was like, Hi,
- 10:56I am in on birth control since I was one. So we're thirteen years
- 11:03and I heard that like ten years was like the scary number. That's when
- 11:05it starts to fuck up your body. I don't know if I made that
- 11:09up or if I saw it on a TikTok or if I Cosmo We're yeah,
- 11:13like a fucking targeted ad on Facebook. But somehow the number ten got
- 11:20into my brain, and I believe it was during quarantine, and I believe
- 11:24I was like, fuck, it's already been ten years. I'm done.
- 11:26Done why I'm inert. I was on birth control when I got pregnant.
- 11:33Yeah, that's it's so so after my son, I was like, well,
- 11:37I don't like the way it makes me feel. I got pregnant anyway,
- 11:39so fuck it. I'm just gonna do what are the Catholic people call
- 11:43it. They's just when they track their period and their cycles. That's just
- 11:46that's what I've been doing since m T five. Yeah, the rhythm.
- 11:54Yeah, I've been successful. I haven't had a pregnancy scare and I only
- 11:58have one child. I listen, I never know when I'm ovulating. Sometimes
- 12:01I just put my hand to my stomach and I'm like, now, like
- 12:05I know, like that feels like ovulation. And it's mostly because like everything
- 12:11hurts, like everything hurts during your menstrual cycle. So I'm like a guess
- 12:18that I swear. I can feel which side of my fallopian tube is releasing
- 12:22the egg, and I like feel it like just pop out of my body,
- 12:26which is not how it works, no, but that's what it feels
- 12:28like. I understand. I totally understand. And then whatever fallopian tube release
- 12:33the egg, that opposite boob is going to be sore balanced, yes,
- 12:41yes, yes, It's like we need to make sure that both sides ache
- 12:45are all bad. But I do actually take that my cycle into consideration when
- 12:50I make my plans too. Oh my god, do you, Because as
- 12:56you know, I can't think when I'm PM essay and not never hold and
- 13:03the other the thing under other. Can I ne
