- Jessica Figueroa: Hey listeners, you're listening to the Just For Today podcast. And just for today, we are going to spend some time investing in a friendship. Because have you ever heard it said that the time to make friends is before you need them? I'm gonna say that one again because it's deep. The time to make friends is before you need them. There's gonna come a time in your life you're gonna need to count on people to help you, whether it's a divorce, whether it's cancer, whether it's death of a loved one, whether it's a financial crisis. But there will come a time in your life you will need to rely on your friends. And if you haven't invested the time in making and maintaining great relationships, then when the time comes when you need to be someone who leans on them, you won't have them available to you. So today you're going to invest in some friendships. You're going to reach out, you're going to make a phone call. Maybe you're going to write a little note. Maybe you're going to shoot a text and make a plan to get together. But today, We are going to think about investing in the relationships we have or in new friendships that we might want to have. Because the time to make friends is before you need them. And not only do friends make life sweeter, but community is designed by God to live in. So community makes our life better. But in order to have friends, you have to be a friend. So today, we're going to be a friend. Just for today, we're going to be a friend. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
