- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey, hey, rock stars! Welcome to the Daily Happy, your little daily reminder to find the joy, celebrate the good, appreciate the people in your life, and remember that happiness isn't something we have to choose.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: So often it's already right in front of us, just waiting for us to notice.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: I'm so happy you're here because we're going to talk about something truly special.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: The value of being a Libra, the beauty of celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, and the incredible gift of being 60 years old and grateful for every single day we're given.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: So take a breath, settle in, open your heart, and let's find a little happy together.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: First, the beauty of being a Libra.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Let's start with my fellow Libras or anyone who has a Libra in their life.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: There's something wonderful about being a Libra.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: We're often known for our love of balance, beauty, harmony, fairness, and connection.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: We're the ones who want everyone to feel included, who appreciate a beautiful sunset, a thoughtful gesture, a lovely dinner with friends, and a conversation that leaves us feeling closer to someone than we were before.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: Libers are often natural peacemakers.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: We want things to feel right.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: We want people to get along.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: We care about fairness, and we have a special appreciation for the little things that make life beautiful.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: But here's something I think is especially important.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Being a Libra isn't just about bringing harmony to the world around us, it's about learning to create harmony within ourselves.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we spend so much time making other people happy that we forget to ask ourselves what makes us happy.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: We try to keep the peace.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: We want everyone to feel loved.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: We may even struggle with making decisions because we can see so many sides of a situation.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: But my friends, it's okay to choose yourself sometimes.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: It's okay to say no.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: It's okay to protect your peace.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: And it's okay to recognize that your happiness matters just as much as everyone else's.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: Now let's talk about celebration.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: Celebrate.
- 3:33SPEAKER_00: Come on, good times.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Birthdays and anniversaries are so much more than dates on the calendar.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: They are opportunities to pause and say, look at this life we lived, look at the love we've shared, look at everything we've made it through.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: A birthday celebrates the gift of being here, another year of laughter, lessons, friendships, family, unexpected surprises and opportunities to begin again.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: And an anniversary, an anniversary celebrates a connection that has endured.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: It celebrates the memories two people have created, the challenges they faced, the laughter they shared, and the decision to keep showing up for one another.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Whether it's a wedding anniversary, a friendship anniversary, or another meaningful milestone, these occasions remind us that relationships are among life's greatest treasures.
- 4:38SPEAKER_00: So let's not save our celebrations for the big impressive moments.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Celebrate the birthday with the homemade cake.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Send the card, make that phone call, give flowers, raise a glass, make a toast, take the picture, tell someone how much they mean to you.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: And if someone you love is celebrating a milestone, don't assume they know you're thinking of them.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Tell them.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Because sometimes the smallest acknowledgement can become one of the most meaningful moments in someone's day.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Life moves quickly, years seem to pass faster the older we get, and the people we love deserve to know that their presence in our lives is something we never take for granted.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: And the gift of being 60 and grateful.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: This is something that's very close to my heart right now, being 60.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: What a beautiful milestone.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: When we were younger, we sometimes think of 60s as a distant destination.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: We imagine that by then we'll have everything figured out, that life will somehow slow down, and that we'll finally understand all the things we were too busy to appreciate before.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: And then we get here and we realize that life is still unfolding.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: We're still learning, we're still growing, we're still dreaming, we still have reasons to laugh until our stomach hurts, people to hug, places to see, and memories to make.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: Not every invitation needs to be accepted, and not every day needs to be extraordinary to be wonderful.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Sometimes a perfect day is simply waking up, feeling the sunshine through the window, hearing a loved one's voice, enjoying a cup of coffee, or sharing a laugh with someone who knows us well.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: At 60, gratitude takes on a different meaning.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: We understand that time is precious because we know we cannot assume how much of it we have left.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: None of us knows how many birthdays we'll celebrate, how many anniversaries we'll share, or how many ordinary Tuesdays we'll get to enjoy.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: And while the thought might feel a little sobering, I think there's something beautiful about it too.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: It reminds us to be present, to stop postponing happiness until we have more money, more time, a better body, a bigger house, or fewer responsibilities.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: It reminds us to stop waiting for the perfect moment to tell someone we love them.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: The perfect moment may simply be the moment we have right now.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: Being grateful at 60 doesn't mean pretending life has always been easy.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: It means recognizing that even though the through the difficult chapters, there have been gifts, there have been people who helped us, there have been lessons that have made us stronger, there have been moments that reminded us why life is worth celebrating.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: And there is still so many possibilities ahead.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: Maybe our greatest adventure isn't behind us, maybe it's the way we choose to live the days that are still waiting for us.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: So if you're 60 today or approaching 60, or well beyond it, or even younger, I hope you celebrate yourself.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Celebrate the wisdom you've earned, celebrate the resilience that brought you here, celebrate the love you've given and received, celebrate the person you are becoming.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: And if you're younger, remember that every birthday is a privilege, not a guarantee.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: Every year is another opportunity to live a little bit more intentionally, love a little more openly, and appreciate a little more deeply.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: We don't have to be afraid of time passing.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: We simply have to remember that our time is precious, and what a wonderful reason that is to live with gratitude.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: So here's your little daily happy assignment today.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Think of one birthday, anniversary, or milestone worth celebrating.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: It doesn't have to be yours.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's someone you love, maybe it's someone who made your life better, or even a memory that deserves a moment of appreciation.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Reach out to that person, make that call, send the message, share the memory, tell them why they matter, and then take a moment for yourself.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Put your hand over your heart and say, I'm here, I'm alive, I have people to love, things to appreciate, and moments still waiting to be lived.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: And today that's enough because happiness isn't measured by how many years we've lived, it's measured in part by how much we love and we've allowed ourselves to experience along the way.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: My fellow Libras, keep bringing your kindness, your appreciation for beauty, your desire for harmony in the world, and just remember to give some of that kindness to yourself too.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: And to everyone celebrating a birthday or anniversary or simply another day on this earth, congratulations, you are here, you're part of someone's story, and your life is worth celebrating.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: And that's our daily happy for today.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Remember, my rock stars, life is precious, time is a gift, and happiness often lives in this in the simplest moments.
- 10:59SPEAKER_00: Don't wait for a special occasion to celebrate.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Don't wait for tomorrow to express your love.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Don't wait for everything to be perfect before you appreciate the life you have today.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: Be grateful to where you've been, be hopeful about where you're going, and be present for the beautiful moments happening right now.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: Until next time, keep smiling, keep shining, keep spreading kindness, and keep finding your happy because there's always a little happy to be found.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: Doodly doodly doodle daily happy here for you.
