- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to the She Rises podcast. I'm Ashi. And I'm Tiana.
- 0:14Speaker 2: This podcast is about female empowerment and encouraging you to
- 0:17Speaker 2: be your biggest, boldest, and most authentic version of yourself.
- 0:21Speaker 1: We help you shed the shame, grow to a new level.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're going to laugh, cry, and talk about the topics
- 0:25Speaker 1: everyone else is too afraid to talk about.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Get ready for your next level self. Hello, and welcome
- 0:31Speaker 2: back to another episode of She Rises podcast, your favorite,
- 0:35Speaker 2: if not Potentially new favorite hosts, Ashley and Tiana.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Hello.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Today's episode is all about a system and a structure
- 0:41Speaker 2: that we've implemented into our lives that has been so
- 0:44Speaker 2: unbelievably important and helpful in the last two years of
- 0:48Speaker 2: both of our lives and also in our business as
- 0:50Speaker 2: she rises. But before we get into that episode, Ashley,
- 0:54Speaker 2: what is.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Your share of the week? It's a new TV show.
- 0:56Speaker 1: It's called Lucky on Apple TV. So if you don't
- 0:59Speaker 1: have Apple, it's only on that. She is, I don't
- 1:02Speaker 1: even know her name, but she's a fantastic actress. She
- 1:05Speaker 1: was in another series that I did not love, The
- 1:07Speaker 1: Queen's Gambit. Anna something? I honestly don't know. Fuck, she
- 1:11Speaker 1: can act. Yeah. This role she plays, it's a lot
- 1:14Speaker 1: of drama, a lot of crime, a little bit of romance,
- 1:18Speaker 1: interesting relationship with her father, gangsters. But she has been
- 1:22Speaker 1: taught by her dad from when she was a little girl,
- 1:24Speaker 1: the mom left when she was a baby, how to steal, survive, fight, fight.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Run away from the police. Wow. So she gets herself
- 1:33Speaker 1: into quite a lot of trouble, but it's all revolved
- 1:35Speaker 1: around her dad. And every single episode, I'm like, how
- 1:39Speaker 1: the fuck did she get out of that? Wow. She's
- 1:42Speaker 1: like a little ninja. Wow. But she's just a really
- 1:44Speaker 1: good actress. She's a great actress. I'm really, really enjoying it.
- 1:47Speaker 1: So it's called Lucky. I would highly recommend it. Okay.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I'll have to have a look.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good. Thanks for sharing. Yeah.
- 1:52Speaker 2: My share of the week is actually somebody that I
- 1:54Speaker 2: listen to. He is like an author. Yeah. He's also
- 1:57Speaker 2: kind of like an OG manifestation coach from like the 90s,
- 2:01Speaker 2: I believe. His name is Neville Goddard.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Oh, I haven't heard of him.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Oh, really? No.
- 2:05Speaker 1: He's phenomenal.
- 2:06Speaker 2: So he's like, if you listen to his audio books
- 2:09Speaker 2: and things like that, it's recorded and it feels old school.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Oh, yeah?
- 2:12Speaker 2: He's quite from like back in the day and he
- 2:14Speaker 2: was like one of the OG guys and he talks
- 2:16Speaker 2: all about how you can manifest your desires and you
- 2:19Speaker 2: can manifest– what you want and like how to not
- 2:22Speaker 2: be so reactive and like talks about how, what you
- 2:24Speaker 2: teach yourself and what you basically speak out loud to
- 2:27Speaker 2: yourself becomes truth with time and with repetition.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 2: And it's something that I've been listening to probably every
- 2:33Speaker 2: day for the last like couple of weeks. I used
- 2:36Speaker 2: to listen to him a lot before and then I
- 2:38Speaker 2: kind of like fell off the bandwagon. I'm like, now
- 2:40Speaker 2: I love starting my day with like just a different
- 2:43Speaker 2: perspective on life.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I think I actually sent it.
- 2:45Speaker 2: I did.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I actually sent it to you. Do you remember? I
- 2:47Speaker 1: was like, this will actually help with mindset right now. Yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Yeah. Didn't listen.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Need to listen. That's okay.
- 2:54Speaker 2: That's okay. Honestly, just find it so uplifting when it's
- 2:58Speaker 2: so easy to get caught up in like the little
- 3:00Speaker 2: micro moments of life, like your usual way of thinking.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I like the way that it challenges me to be
- 3:06Speaker 2: unbelievably optimistic in my life.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Oh, that's beautiful.
- 3:09Speaker 2: So you can find it, you can download it and
- 3:11Speaker 2: just follow it on Spotify or you can do his
- 3:14Speaker 2: whole book collection on audiobook.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Physical books, all that sort of stuff.
- 3:17Speaker 2: You can find them on TikTok.
- 3:18Speaker 1: What's his name again?
- 3:19Speaker 2: Neville Goddard.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Neville Goddard. Okay, cool. Thank you. Alrighty, so we're going
- 3:24Speaker 1: to get into this. This system, we really refined, I
- 3:28Speaker 1: suppose this year, but the way we refined and brought
- 3:31Speaker 1: this together to actually give back to our community, because
- 3:33Speaker 1: we thought, gosh, if we're getting so much out of this,
- 3:35Speaker 1: we want to give this to as many people as possible,
- 3:36Speaker 1: because we know it will change your life. It's really
- 3:38Speaker 1: helped us, was we had certain things that we did,
- 3:41Speaker 1: And we'd always talk about it and then it just
- 3:43Speaker 1: became this system that we brought into our lives for
- 3:45Speaker 1: our personal lives and for our business. And we do
- 3:49Speaker 1: this every New Year's and we do our vision board.
- 3:50Speaker 1: We go through this 10-step system and it really just
- 3:53Speaker 1: helps you get so much clarity and direction and really
- 3:56Speaker 1: specific on your goals and where you want to go.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Because before that, it's like it's all good and well
- 4:00Speaker 1: to write out your goals and it feels fluffy and
- 4:02Speaker 1: then too exciting. You've fucking forgotten what they even are. Yes.
- 4:05Speaker 1: This is broken down into a system that you follow
- 4:08Speaker 1: step by step and you actually get to achieve them.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yeah. So we're going to share a few of the
- 4:13Speaker 2: steps with you today. We don't have a lot of
- 4:15Speaker 2: time to go through all the steps with you. So
- 4:16Speaker 2: we'll probably go through maybe one to three to one
- 4:19Speaker 2: to four if we have the time and we'll run
- 4:21Speaker 2: you through them so that you can start implementing it too.
- 4:24Speaker 2: And yeah, we'll just showcase to you and share with
- 4:26Speaker 2: you like what really works for us. And yeah, you
- 4:29Speaker 2: find little ways where you can implement that into your
- 4:31Speaker 2: life so that you can start progressing forward. with the
- 4:33Speaker 2: same kind of momentum that we've had over the last year.
- 4:35Speaker 1: And even if we only share three or four today,
- 4:37Speaker 1: like I said, this is completely free. This is something
- 4:39Speaker 1: we developed and we did for ourselves. We're like, oh
- 4:41Speaker 1: my gosh, let's give this to our audience. So if
- 4:43Speaker 1: you want this goal setting 10 step system, just DM
- 4:47Speaker 1: us on Instagram with the word goal setter and we'll
- 4:49Speaker 1: send you the link and you can literally download it,
- 4:50Speaker 1: print it off and it's yours. You can use it
- 4:52Speaker 1: as many times as you'd like. We encourage you to.
- 4:54Speaker 1: So it's just like our little gift back to our community. Alrighty,
- 4:58Speaker 1: the 10 step system. So it's like a 17 page PDF.
- 5:02Speaker 1: So it's not just the steps do this. It's really
- 5:04Speaker 1: broken down in a really beautiful way. And there's a
- 5:06Speaker 1: lot of information about why we did this as well.
- 5:08Speaker 1: But let's get onto the very first thing that we
- 5:11Speaker 1: want you guys to do. So this is called a
- 5:13Speaker 1: truth dump. I want you to actually get out your journal,
- 5:15Speaker 1: a pen and paper and set a timer for five minutes.
- 5:18Speaker 1: I want you to write out all of your dreams,
- 5:21Speaker 1: all of your desires, all of your goals, all the
- 5:23Speaker 1: things that you're wanting and And just let that pen glide.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Don't overthink it. Don't try and be perfect. Don't have
- 5:30Speaker 1: that little voice telling you, oh, you can't do that.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Or you set that last year and you didn't achieve it.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Just write. It's called a truth dump for a reason.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It's true to where you're at right now and what
- 5:38Speaker 1: you're desiring, what you're wanting, and all of that gets
- 5:40Speaker 1: to be fully true. This is only for you. No
- 5:43Speaker 1: one else has to see this. Absolutely.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And the powerful thing about doing a truth dump is
- 5:46Speaker 2: that there are a lot of things swelling in that
- 5:47Speaker 2: beautiful head of yours. Ideas, thoughts, feelings, emotions, everything that
- 5:51Speaker 2: you're holding for the day, your to-do list, everything. And
- 5:53Speaker 2: so Actually allowing yourself to consistently write really allows you
- 5:57Speaker 2: to remove the performative goal that you want or the
- 6:01Speaker 2: thing that you think that you want and actually kind
- 6:03Speaker 2: of uncover some deeper layers to what is truthful for
- 6:06Speaker 2: you and ultimately what your deep-rooted heart desire kind of
- 6:10Speaker 2: goal is.
- 6:11Speaker 1: And you might think you have a goal to make
- 6:13Speaker 1: X amount of money or to start the business, but gosh,
- 6:15Speaker 1: where you're at right now might be just to strengthen
- 6:17Speaker 1: your relationship and feel really connected to your partner again.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Or to really focus on your nervous system so that
- 6:22Speaker 1: you can handle this next level that you're wanting to
- 6:24Speaker 1: go to. It might be just incorporating a couple of
- 6:26Speaker 1: new habits. Like there's no right or wrong, big, small,
- 6:30Speaker 1: anything in between. This is your time to just get
- 6:32Speaker 1: everything out of paper. Like I said, you're taking that
- 6:34Speaker 1: mask off and you're just getting it all out so
- 6:36Speaker 1: you can actually see where you're at and what you're wanting.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Because things might come up that you're like, fuck, I didn't. Wow,
- 6:40Speaker 1: that's actually now it's written out. That's really sticking out
- 6:42Speaker 1: to me.
- 6:43Speaker 2: And there's often like a surface level goal and then
- 6:45Speaker 2: like a deep rooted goal. You know, it's like what
- 6:47Speaker 2: you mentioned about the money goal. You might want to
- 6:49Speaker 2: make X amount of money, but really what's important to
- 6:51Speaker 2: you is actually finding relief where you are in your
- 6:53Speaker 2: life right now. And you think that the money goal
- 6:54Speaker 2: is going to give you relief. So like actually allowing
- 6:57Speaker 2: yourself to unpack this with yourself, which we do not
- 7:00Speaker 2: give ourselves enough time to do, will allow you to
- 7:03Speaker 2: really like reveal what kind of sits underneath the surface
- 7:05Speaker 2: for you. So when you write your first goal, ask
- 7:08Speaker 2: yourself why. So as you're doing this truth dump, Write
- 7:11Speaker 2: your first answer down and go, okay, why do I
- 7:13Speaker 2: want this?
- 7:13Speaker 1: Keep going.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Why do I want this? Keep going and chunk down
- 7:16Speaker 2: and actually allow yourself to reveal what sits underneath.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yes. Which then leads on to step two. Now, out
- 7:22Speaker 1: of your truth dump, when you look over that, when
- 7:24Speaker 1: you read over that and take your time, you can
- 7:26Speaker 1: sit with it, you can close your eyes, you can
- 7:28Speaker 1: keep reading it. There's going to be one that really
- 7:30Speaker 1: sticks out the most. And that one might feel the
- 7:33Speaker 1: most important right now for where you are. It doesn't
- 7:35Speaker 1: mean you can't look at the others, but for now,
- 7:37Speaker 1: we want you to pick out one main goal. Circle it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: highlight it, and then we're going to expand on that.
- 7:43Speaker 2: And something that we say in our group coaching container,
- 7:45Speaker 2: which is Accelerator, is you can have everything, just not
- 7:48Speaker 2: all at once. And this is why actually getting hyper-specific
- 7:53Speaker 2: on one thing to focus on is because you're not
- 7:55Speaker 2: going to get bogged down with a to-do list and
- 7:57Speaker 2: trying to move in 17 different directions. You're actually going
- 8:00Speaker 2: to go, here is my objective goal, the thing that
- 8:03Speaker 2: I want to work on, And then actually following the
- 8:05Speaker 2: steps that helps you get to that one goal. And
- 8:07Speaker 2: then once you nail that.
- 8:08Speaker 1: You can move on to the next.
- 8:09Speaker 2: So it's just simplifying the process so that you don't
- 8:12Speaker 2: get overwhelmed in it.
- 8:13Speaker 1: So once you've chosen it, highlight it, circle it. And
- 8:15Speaker 1: this just gives you a really clear roadmap of what
- 8:18Speaker 1: your focus is going to be for this next month.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Perfect.
- 8:21Speaker 1: What's step three?
- 8:22Speaker 2: So step three is write your future you vision.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I love doing this.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I know.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Isn't it so great?
- 8:28Speaker 2: So this is going to just allow you to really
- 8:31Speaker 2: use your imagination and understand what vision you actually have
- 8:35Speaker 2: for your life. Because there is a difference between I
- 8:38Speaker 2: want XYZ, I want this money, I want to live
- 8:41Speaker 2: in this house, I want this car, like whatever the
- 8:43Speaker 2: dream or desire or goal is. But there is another
- 8:46Speaker 2: thing for you to write in hyper-specific detail what a
- 8:50Speaker 2: day in that life actually looks like.
- 8:53Speaker 1: When you're getting.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Hyper-specific around who that version of you is, how does
- 8:58Speaker 2: she dress when she wakes up what does she do
- 9:00Speaker 2: what does she think who is in her life how
- 9:02Speaker 2: is she communicating how is she emotionally reacting is she patient.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Like she have habits getting a full.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Grasp of what that version of you looks like and
- 9:11Speaker 2: leveraging your imagination so you can bring that vision to
- 9:14Speaker 2: life because if it's just an idea it's just an
- 9:18Speaker 2: idea you're not emotionally attached to an idea of who
- 9:21Speaker 2: you want to be, you're disconnected from that.
- 9:23Speaker 1: It's so true.
- 9:24Speaker 2: If you actually understand what that looks like and give
- 9:26Speaker 2: yourself permission to just like close your eyes and sit
- 9:29Speaker 2: in the feeling of what your future version of yourself
- 9:31Speaker 2: actually looks like and feels like on a day-to-day basis,
- 9:35Speaker 2: you've just now created a bridge between where you are
- 9:37Speaker 2: and where you want to be. And now you've created
- 9:39Speaker 2: an emotional connection to that. And it's really important to
- 9:41Speaker 2: do that.
- 9:42Speaker 1: That's so cool. And I love doing this because sometimes
- 9:45Speaker 1: when I have a goal and I do this future
- 9:47Speaker 1: vision dump where I'm writing things out, I'm like, oh,
- 9:50Speaker 1: If I want to achieve that, the way I'm showing
- 9:52Speaker 1: up now and the current habits or structure that I'm
- 9:55Speaker 1: working with right now isn't going to get me there.
- 9:58Speaker 1: All of that now has to change. So if I
- 9:59Speaker 1: was to be that woman that has XYZ or that's
- 10:02Speaker 1: doing XYZ, the way I do things has to change.
- 10:05Speaker 1: So what is she doing? How is she dressing? What
- 10:07Speaker 1: are her habits? What time does she get up? How
- 10:09Speaker 1: does she think? How does she speak to herself? Who
- 10:11Speaker 1: is she surrounding herself with? Who is she cutting off?
- 10:14Speaker 1: Even how is she eating? Like all the things that
- 10:17Speaker 1: are going to support me to be who I am
- 10:19Speaker 1: as my goals have gotten bigger over the years, that
- 10:20Speaker 1: has just consistently evolved. It's so cool to get that
- 10:23Speaker 1: out on paper because if you think that you're just
- 10:25Speaker 1: doing the same thing all the time, it's going to
- 10:27Speaker 1: get you there. It's not. Remember, nothing changes if nothing changes.
- 10:29Speaker 1: You have to evolve as your goals evolve.
- 10:31Speaker 2: And step three is such an important part because it
- 10:34Speaker 2: almost reveals all of your current blind spots that are
- 10:37Speaker 2: in the way for you to actually jump from where
- 10:39Speaker 2: you are to where you want to go. So if
- 10:41Speaker 2: there's a step that you do that is very, very important,
- 10:44Speaker 2: please allow it to be this one and be serious
- 10:46Speaker 2: about what you see here because if you can do that,
- 10:48Speaker 2: you're going to reveal everything. everything that needs to fall
- 10:51Speaker 2: away from your life or that you need to subtract
- 10:53Speaker 2: from your life so that you can actually embody the
- 10:56Speaker 2: version of yourself who is the one who speaks highly
- 10:59Speaker 2: of herself or sets boundaries without feeling guilty about it
- 11:03Speaker 2: because she knows that it's good for her and her relationships.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Like there is a gap between where you are right
- 11:08Speaker 2: now and where you want to be and it is everything.
- 11:11Speaker 2: that you write down on that list.
- 11:12Speaker 1: It's so cool to get such clarity. And we also
- 11:15Speaker 1: don't want you to get off this podcast and feel
- 11:17Speaker 1: the pressure that, oh, now I've got this goal and
- 11:19Speaker 1: I need to change all these habits, do everything. It
- 11:21Speaker 1: might not happen overnight, but now you've got the awareness
- 11:23Speaker 1: and you've got your plan. It's like, we stack, you know,
- 11:26Speaker 1: try and implement this. Once you've nailed that, you do
- 11:28Speaker 1: the next thing. And it's a work in progress, just
- 11:30Speaker 1: like we always are. So there's no pressure here, but
- 11:34Speaker 1: there's new implementation and there's a new level of dedication
- 11:36Speaker 1: and and disciplined towards yourself and your goals.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 11:39Speaker 1: That's the biggest form of self-love I think that you
- 11:41Speaker 1: can do. That's right.
- 11:42Speaker 2: And you get to choose what you do with this information.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:44Speaker 2: That's all it is, information.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:46Speaker 2: If you do this and you write it out and
- 11:47Speaker 2: you go, oh, my gosh, I'm not setting boundaries in
- 11:49Speaker 2: my life, and three conversations that you need to have
- 11:51Speaker 2: pops up in your head, don't feel like you need
- 11:53Speaker 2: to go and rip the band-aid off all of them today.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a lot. Give yourself some time.
- 11:57Speaker 2: Give yourself some time. Just know, okay, this is my
- 12:00Speaker 2: next step, and that's more than enough.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Perfect. Well, we've got time. Let's go on to number four, hey? Okay, done.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Let's do it. Now, step number four is where we
- 12:08Speaker 2: get more into the implementation, the action side of this
- 12:11Speaker 2: goal setting system. Essentially, step number four is breaking your
- 12:14Speaker 2: goal into three to five actionable steps. Now, I'm going
- 12:18Speaker 2: to use like exercise and fitness goals as an example
- 12:21Speaker 2: because I feel like it's relevant to everyone.
- 12:22Speaker 1: Quite relatable, yeah.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Easy to understand. I guess the outcome of this is
- 12:27Speaker 2: making sure that you have actionable, doable steps that don't
- 12:31Speaker 2: feel overcomplicated so that you know, yes, I have this
- 12:34Speaker 2: big goal. But now I have micro actions underneath that
- 12:37Speaker 2: that I can implement either every day, every week or
- 12:39Speaker 2: every month that's going to help me get to that goal.
- 12:43Speaker 2: So say, for example, if you have a goal that
- 12:44Speaker 2: you want to build your dream body, three actionable steps
- 12:47Speaker 2: in that would be either to prep your food, make
- 12:50Speaker 2: sure that you're doing a 30-minute walk every single day,
- 12:53Speaker 2: that you are going to the gym at least twice
- 12:55Speaker 2: or three times a week and actually creating micro steps
- 12:59Speaker 2: like that. Another one could even be going to bed
- 13:02Speaker 2: at 8.30, 9 o'clock and not having a late bedtime.
- 13:05Speaker 2: waking up at the same time every single day so
- 13:08Speaker 2: that you can get up straight away and go straight
- 13:09Speaker 2: to the gym. So that's five actionable steps that I've
- 13:12Speaker 2: been able to break down into this goal of building
- 13:15Speaker 2: my dream body that allows you to simplify what it
- 13:18Speaker 2: is you're actually trying to work towards. So when you
- 13:20Speaker 2: get a second, you can either pause this and you
- 13:22Speaker 2: can do it right now is to write down based
- 13:25Speaker 2: on the goal that you chose for yourself. And that
- 13:27Speaker 2: one thing that you're going to focus on What are
- 13:29Speaker 2: three to five actionable steps that you can do that
- 13:32Speaker 2: will bring you closer to bringing that goal to being
- 13:35Speaker 2: able to achieve it?
- 13:36Speaker 1: And you might only need three. You might need five.
- 13:37Speaker 1: I think another one that you did with this system
- 13:39Speaker 1: was really good. Your goal was to post more consistently
- 13:41Speaker 1: on social media. Can you talk about your breakdown of
- 13:44Speaker 1: allocating your micro steps? I remember we were allocating the
- 13:47Speaker 1: time to film, allocating the time to plan your content,
- 13:49Speaker 1: allocating the time to edit. You really structured everything out
- 13:53Speaker 1: and it's helped you to be really consistent.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so I think when it comes to posting consistently,
- 13:58Speaker 2: I had like a goal of being like, okay, I
- 14:00Speaker 2: want to post three times a day or whatever the
- 14:03Speaker 2: goal has been. And with that, I'm like, okay, I've
- 14:05Speaker 2: been really overwhelmed with the idea of that. And I'm like, okay,
- 14:08Speaker 2: how can I simplify that to actually support me in
- 14:11Speaker 2: what I do? And so now on a Monday, Monday
- 14:14Speaker 2: is my filming day. And what I was doing previously
- 14:17Speaker 2: was I was creating the ideas, I was filming the videos,
- 14:20Speaker 2: I was editing them all on a Monday, and I
- 14:22Speaker 2: realized that I actually wasn't getting it done in time.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Things would pop up and then I'd have our team
- 14:27Speaker 2: reach out and we'd have to do some work for
- 14:28Speaker 2: that and I'd get pulled in different directions. So I
- 14:30Speaker 2: realized that what I was doing there wasn't actually working.
- 14:33Speaker 2: And so now what I do is on a Friday
- 14:35Speaker 2: afternoon after work, that's one step where I actually write
- 14:39Speaker 2: a list of all the ideas that I want to
- 14:41Speaker 2: write down and that I want to speak about next week.
- 14:43Speaker 2: I get them done on a Friday. And then I
- 14:45Speaker 2: write down the format of what that's going to look like.
- 14:48Speaker 1: So like your hooks, your bulk of it, your call
- 14:50Speaker 1: to action.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:51Speaker 2: So I like kind of plan out what the core
- 14:53Speaker 2: of that message is going to be, how it's actually
- 14:55Speaker 2: going to help somebody, what the purpose of it is,
- 14:57Speaker 2: if it's going to actually be beneficial for somebody to
- 14:59Speaker 2: listen to and what different.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Types of content it's going to be.
- 15:03Speaker 2: And then I do my filming, which is going to
- 15:05Speaker 2: be on the Monday. And then after that, I do
- 15:07Speaker 2: the editing straight after that.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Yes.
- 15:09Speaker 2: And then I schedule it all. And then each one
- 15:11Speaker 2: has like a name and like a day of like Tuesday,
- 15:14Speaker 2: 6 p.m., Tuesday, 12 p.m., Tuesday, X, Y, Z. Yeah.
- 15:18Speaker 2: And just those simple steps have honestly helped me be
- 15:21Speaker 2: able to make sure that I'm actually posting that many times.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I love the structure of it. And even you do
- 15:26Speaker 1: talk about a lot and you've taught me too is
- 15:27Speaker 1: like closing the gap. thinking about doing something and actually
- 15:31Speaker 1: doing it because sometimes if that gap's too big you
- 15:33Speaker 1: forget about it you procrastinate you make excuses and for
- 15:36Speaker 1: you the editing side of it was a gap yeah
- 15:38Speaker 1: so now it's like I remember you saying to me
- 15:39Speaker 1: I've just decided when I film I'm editing straight away
- 15:41Speaker 1: so it's done yes and since then you've been able
- 15:43Speaker 1: to stay consistent so it's like not only did you
- 15:46Speaker 1: do your truth dump you wrote out your goals you
- 15:48Speaker 1: broke it down into the steps yeah you actioned it
- 15:50Speaker 1: and you figured out this new structure that works for
- 15:52Speaker 1: you that's now allowed you to be able to post
- 15:54Speaker 1: consistently and I know it was like once a day
- 15:56Speaker 1: back then and now you've been able to increase the
- 15:58Speaker 1: amounts because you've got this structure that really works and
- 16:00Speaker 1: that goal now feels easier, which I think is just
- 16:03Speaker 1: a really cool story to tell because whether it's posting
- 16:05Speaker 1: on social media or your health and fitness or something
- 16:07Speaker 1: else in your life, it shows how powerful this 10-step
- 16:10Speaker 1: system is because it really gets the ball rolling. That's right.
- 16:14Speaker 2: And even outside of that, I love that you mentioned
- 16:17Speaker 2: the closing the gap between idea and execution because something
- 16:19Speaker 2: that I've implemented on top of that structure that I
- 16:22Speaker 2: have is is what I was noticing is that I
- 16:24Speaker 2: was writing down a list of all these ideas. And
- 16:26Speaker 2: I still do that because I have a content ideas
- 16:28Speaker 2: dump list, basically. And then it's where I put all
- 16:30Speaker 2: of my ideas when I'm not in a position to
- 16:32Speaker 2: be able to actually film.
- 16:33Speaker 1: So you don't forget about them. That's right. So I
- 16:35Speaker 1: can always come back to them.
- 16:36Speaker 2: But what I've noticed ever since I came back from
- 16:38Speaker 2: America was closing the gap between idea and execution. So
- 16:41Speaker 2: what I found is if I'm not doing anything, I
- 16:44Speaker 2: have an idea, I'll film it straight away. And then
- 16:46Speaker 2: what I do is I film it straight away, I
- 16:48Speaker 2: edit it straight away, and then I draft it. And
- 16:50Speaker 2: then if it's time to post, I'll post it straight away.
- 16:52Speaker 1: Perfect.
- 16:53Speaker 2: But like what was taking me, you know, a week
- 16:55Speaker 2: to do, a week and a half to do, now
- 16:57Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, how can I bring that like closer
- 16:59Speaker 2: so that I can actually take care of future me
- 17:03Speaker 2: and do what feels hard or do the task now
- 17:05Speaker 2: if it's only going to take 10, 15, 20 minutes
- 17:07Speaker 2: instead of banking it for later.
- 17:09Speaker 1: That's cool too because it takes away that, I know
- 17:11Speaker 1: you have spoken about the podcast before and just in
- 17:13Speaker 1: our friendships, perfectionism. It's like sometimes, you know, you want
- 17:17Speaker 1: to look a certain way or say a certain way,
- 17:18Speaker 1: or my hair's not done or like it's noisy. Now
- 17:21Speaker 1: it's like you plug your earphones and you're like, I'm
- 17:23Speaker 1: going to get this video done. And I love that
- 17:24Speaker 1: because it's so much more raw because it's in the
- 17:27Speaker 1: moment where you're actually, your body is feeling the message
- 17:30Speaker 1: that you want to get out to your audience to help,
- 17:31Speaker 1: which has been really cool.
- 17:32Speaker 2: That's what I really noticed coming back from America is
- 17:35Speaker 2: I was falling into that like quite a lot and
- 17:38Speaker 2: being like, I need to be well positioned or sit
- 17:40Speaker 2: in the car properly or be professional or whatever. And like,
- 17:43Speaker 2: I literally filmed a video laying in my bed the
- 17:45Speaker 2: other day. Yeah. And like, I haven't done that in
- 17:47Speaker 2: a really long time, but I was just like, it's
- 17:48Speaker 2: not about how it looks or how it's presented. It's
- 17:51Speaker 2: about the message.
- 17:52Speaker 1: And how someone's going to feel. That's what's actually important. Yeah.
- 17:55Speaker 2: And also I do want to like overcome like the
- 17:57Speaker 2: whole perfectionism part and just be like, no, like this is,
- 18:00Speaker 2: it's not about one piece of content. It's about the
- 18:01Speaker 2: accumulation of all the pieces of content over a long
- 18:03Speaker 2: period of time. So like, I have to get used
- 18:05Speaker 2: to thinking of an idea and filming it, posting it,
- 18:08Speaker 2: filming an idea, posting it.
- 18:09Speaker 1: So cool.
- 18:09Speaker 2: And like just consistently doing that and just being able
- 18:12Speaker 2: to use this structure that we've created. Yeah. It just
- 18:15Speaker 2: streamlines everything.
- 18:16Speaker 1: It streamlines. It makes it easy. It takes the guesswork
- 18:18Speaker 1: out and it's not just being fluffy writing out a goal.
- 18:20Speaker 1: You've actually got 10 steps that are going to help
- 18:22Speaker 1: you get from A to B and close that gap.
- 18:24Speaker 2: And you know what? Like there might even be some
- 18:26Speaker 2: of you listening being like, oh, look, this before, or
- 18:29Speaker 2: I know that I need to do this, but like,
- 18:30Speaker 2: are you actually doing it? And is it actually helping you? Right?
- 18:33Speaker 2: Because we look at our goals and we go, oh,
- 18:35Speaker 2: we feel so overwhelmed by them sometimes because they're so big.
- 18:39Speaker 2: They feel intimidating sometimes. This takes the intimidation out of it.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And it might seem like a quote unquote, simple thing
- 18:44Speaker 2: to do, but the simple things done well is what works.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Absolutely. Walking, drinking water and eating healthy. Oh my God. Wow.
- 18:51Speaker 1: That gets you results. No shit.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Consistently.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Consistently. Consistently.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Me filming and uploading it in the moment done consistently
- 18:58Speaker 2: is the simple thing. Not everything else and all the
- 19:01Speaker 2: noise on social media that everyone talks about. All that
- 19:04Speaker 2: shit is irrelevant if you're not consistent.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Exactly. And that's what I'm learning. I love that so much.
- 19:09Speaker 1: So we will wrap it up here because there is
- 19:11Speaker 1: like six more steps to go through and I wish
- 19:13Speaker 1: we had all the time in the world. If you
- 19:14Speaker 1: want this, download it. If you are someone who sets
- 19:17Speaker 1: goals in January and then by February you've forgotten what
- 19:19Speaker 1: they are or you feel like they're gone or you
- 19:21Speaker 1: don't even know how to attack it, this is going
- 19:22Speaker 1: to help. This will honestly change your life and you
- 19:25Speaker 1: can literally have it for as long as you want.
- 19:27Speaker 1: You can print it off whenever you want to set
- 19:28Speaker 1: a new goal, whenever you feel like you're about to up-level,
- 19:30Speaker 1: when things have changed, your circumstances, your ideas, your goals
- 19:33Speaker 1: have changed. Get out this 10-step system. And I think
- 19:36Speaker 1: the more we've found, the more we do it, the
- 19:37Speaker 1: faster we are actually filling it out. Yes. The first
- 19:40Speaker 1: time I felt like I spent a lot of time
- 19:41Speaker 1: in there. I was like, okay. Thinking about it. Still great. Yeah.
- 19:44Speaker 1: But now it's like, I know the steps. I just
- 19:45Speaker 1: need to go through it and it helps give me
- 19:47Speaker 1: so much clarity and then straight away I'm actioning it.
- 19:50Speaker 1: It's like my first step. I'm in there. Let's go. Yeah, urgency. Urgency, speed,
- 19:55Speaker 1: stop the hesitation. Stop waiting until you're ready. Stop waiting
- 19:58Speaker 1: until you're confident you can actually action something straight away. Absolutely,
- 20:00Speaker 1: and this is how. This is how.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Anyway, we hope this has been helpful. Honestly, get the
- 20:05Speaker 2: goal-setting workbook. Allow yourself to move with urgency towards the
- 20:08Speaker 2: things that you want. At the end of the day,
