- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: You guys it does so.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: so many good things for the show.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_00]: And really take time to, if there was an episode that speaks to you, take time to listen to it again.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: There is something magical and powerful about hearing a message twice, or even three times, you catch things.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_00]: I am a nerd, I'm a super nerd, and I will listen to my own episode one for edits, you know, and I have to listen to stuff like that.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: And then two, I listen to it as a listener, and the three I listen for like content, which is a lot of listening to your own voice, but you know, I'm listening to the ones that I guess on,
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: and there's always something that I am like, holy crap, I didn't hear that the first time I listened and I take a note on something or it just pounds a message into my brain even more.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_00]: So my recommendation if there is an episode that you loved, go back and listen.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: Trust me.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: You'll probably write into the show and you'll be like Melissa.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: I totally listen to that episode with so-and-so And you guys were talking about this and I went back and listened and you're right I heard so many other things so go back and listen today.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: We are talking more about the mindset Okay, we're talking about being like mentally stuck things getting stored in the body
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's so amazing to, I don't know, just keep finding guests and experts on this topic, and I said at the beginning of the episode, and I'm gonna say it again once we get started, you'll hear me say this, but I just have to say it again here in the intro, that you never know what episode is going to speak to you.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't new, right?
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: We've talked about mindset stuff before, nothing new here.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: But how we take this message in, it's new.
- 4:17[SPEAKER_00]: Hearing from our guest, that's new.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Things that I'm saying, you might have heard me say before, but now you hear me say it in a different way, that's new.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: And you just never know what's going to make it just like stick in your head.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_00]: And be like,
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my god.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: No, I got it.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: I got it now.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: How she said that or I've heard Melissa say that before, but I never really understood what she meant.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: And I heard it and wow, so you never know what episode's going to speak to you.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: You never know what episode's going to honestly change your life.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_00]: You never know what book that we're like, go read this and you're like, fine.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: And it does something this episode could be one of those episodes for you.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: Today we have Josie Gibson on and she's the director of communications for bridge publications and bridge publications, it's an award-winning publishing house with state-of-the-art production and distribution facility.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the largest and most advanced of its kind.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_00]: And Josie leads all media outreach, publicity communications for bridge publications, and she's an official spokesperson for Diagnetics.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_00]: The book Diagnetics, the modern science of mental health,
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: the all-time bestselling book on the mind and Josie is uniquely qualified to discuss its practical application and it's global reach that's spanning like 50 languages now and over two million readers.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: Dionetics is incredible.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: You guys have to get this book and we're talking about everything that the book covers, you know, being mentally stuck.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: Why you sit there and you do these irrational things or have irrational behaviors and you sit there and you go, why did I do that?
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I knew better.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Why do I have this anxiety around this still?
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: Why does this keep coming up?
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: And you're gonna see and start to really understand like why you behave a certain way and how do you change it for life?
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: And we talk about this in the episode, you guys are anxiety, are trauma things that have happened to us things that we aren't clearing, that we're not healing from, that we're just slapping Band-Aids on.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: That changes us.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: That silently shapes the way that we parent love,
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: So when I'm like, are you a second tired of being second tired?
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, are you guys ready to take the next step?
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, yeah, that means getting your ass up and going to the gym and make better choices.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: But there's work mentally that has to happen at the same time as the physical.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: And yes, I want you to book a call for sure.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to talk like how we can jump on board and get moving forward.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm gonna tell you, I am not going to just push you physically.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: There is got to be mental changes in what you do, how you say, how you think, how you speak like everything, how you show up in life.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: They're just has to be.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: There has to be mental changes that happen, too.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_00]: And this book, Diagnetics, you guys, it is a tool in your toolbox that's going to help you do that.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I said this in the other episode, I'm like, you're welcome.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: This could be a life changing moment for you.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: So listen to this conversation around it.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: listen to what Josie has to say about mental changes and the possibility and what you can do.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's exciting, like listening to the shit gets me fired up because it can change the course of everything for you.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: And this episode might be one of those moments.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Alright everyone, go to the show notes, get the book, let me know if you have questions, and enjoy the show.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Hey everyone, welcome to the Bomb Life Podcast.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: Today we have Josie Gibson on Welcome Josie.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, Melissa.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for having me.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'm so excited.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm so glad that we connected because like mental health and diving into all of the stuff that like make us stuck, how we can get unstuck like anxiety, like the more we can just connect that with health and like fitness and know that that has to happen along the journey of like getting strong and whatever.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my God, people become unstoppable.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is my job.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: So you're the director of communications for bridge publications.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and you are the spokesperson for the book, dionetics.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: How did this happen?
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: How did this become the thing you talk about?
- 8:14[SPEAKER_00]: How did you get hooked up with this company?
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: What's your story behind this?
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a great question.
- 8:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, my name is Josie Gibson and I found the book dionetics, the modern science and mental health several years ago and I really was dealing with some, you know, internal problems of really knowing who I am and I wanted to have stability of myself and not have other people's opinions or thoughts about it.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was referred to the book dionetics and it
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: get rid of all of the, you know, the clutter that can build up sometimes.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_01]: And sometimes it's hard to really, you know, differentiate other people's thoughts and opinions versus who you are, but when you have a stability and that it's very powerful thing.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_01]: And because of how much it helped me, I then fell into a career on it.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: And now I work at the publisher, bridge publications.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I get to every day get to help people become aware of dynamics as well as, you know, experience the miracles that can really happen for people because they really get down to the root and get rid of all of the source that's causing their anxieties and their stresses and even those self doubts that you have running around and I get to help
- 9:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's awesome.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: Like, and my audience is, you know, no stranger to the conversation around mental health and anxiety and you just never know what guest will come on and will say, you know, something that
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: and then Josie comes on and she explains it in a different way in like something just clicks and you never know what message that will be, what podcast episode you'll hear in that will happen and that's why I love just talking about this over and over and over again and getting different views and different opinions on it and dionetics it's it's all about a specific technique correct okay yeah you're exactly right tell me about the technique like kind of give it to us for
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I'm going to take it back very simply first and just explain a little bit about what dionetics is.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: So dionetics is a it's a book and it's also a science of the mind.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_01]: There's actually two parts of the mind, which the book goes over and that is there's the positive side of the mind and that every day you use that that is the analytical mind it thinks very clearly.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_01]: you're able to calculate useful problems, you're creative, you're motivated, you know, all the really positive parts of ourselves, and then, secondarily, we have the bad or the negative part of the mind, and that is called and dynamics the reactive mind.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_01]: So this part of the mind is actually the source and the reason behind all of our fears, anxieties, stresses, irrational behaviors, self doubts, like those things that we really don't like about ourselves are stored in this reactive mind and can be triggered or what's called restimulated later in life.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_01]: and cause us to lash out or to have, you know, heavy turns of depression over anxiety or grief and those emotions that can really burden us and hold us back.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason for that is because we have passed negative experiences in our life and moments of pain and unconsciousness
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: and these ingrams are moments of pain and unconsciousness when your reactive mind is reporting everything that's happening around you.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, you stub your toe on the door frame, your mind at that point and the reactive mind is picking up the pain of the toe.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: The person next to you saying, oh, are you okay?
- 12:08[SPEAKER_01]: The feeling of your hand on the door and the temperature of the air, you know, every, every little part that's happening during that moment,
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: And then what can happen is that later in life, something a situation or an environment is very similar to that ingram, right?
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: And it can cause you to feel that same kind of stress or that anxiety that you felt when you stubbed your toe.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Or maybe you always send your toe starts to kind of ache, but you have no reason for it.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: That is actually stemming from that reactive mind, which is making that situation seem like it's the first situation, right?
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: And you could expand that even more in life, you know, if you have situations in your life, where you continue to act the same way over and over and over.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: But you don't really have a reason for it.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know why it happened.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you are doing good in one area of your life.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, yes, I'm doing really great in my career.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_01]: And then you come home, and nothing goes right at home.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: But you don't know why there's no rational reason for it, but just everything is just it's always horrible.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing goes right.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: Right, but there is a reason for that and that actually is described in the book dynamics and there is as he was saying a technique and a technology to actually help a person to remove and get rid of the part that is negative and that that reactive minds you actually can remove it so that it no longer has an impact on you and it doesn't store those triggers anymore.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I was just going to say like, so do you think that these stored events, which is essentially stored trauma, you know, in our body, no matter how high it is or low, like, it could be a simple as studying the toe or, you know, an abuse of attacker, whatever, do you feel that those things like stored in our body, yes, they can trigger us, yes, they can or what was the word that you used.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: not triggers.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_00]: You simply like re-stimulate.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great word to describe it.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: When you're re-stimulated, because those other things are kind of like stored in the body, does that also trigger and bring up like anxiety?
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: Because that hasn't been cleared and that's linked to our anxiety, too.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: And we don't even know what?
- 14:19[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_01]: So there's these anxieties or these, these ingrams that can be triggered or restimulated later in life, they're actually stored in the reactive mind.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_01]: You have two parts in the mind and that reactive mind is the part of the mind that is storing all of that.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: And at any given point, it can reactivate and cause person to lash out.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: And the same goes for, you know, there's
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: and these are illnesses that are caused by the mines.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: So just like, you know, really heavy belts of anxiety, like you were saying, and you feel those stress in that look like sharp knives and butterflies in your stomach, that is a that is a symptom that's a
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: occurring because the reactive mind is thinking, oh, this is a, this is a terrifying situation right now in my not even need that big of a deal where you just publicly speaking right I had a friend who she did was terrified of public speaking like couldn't even not even in front of her coworkers go up in front of all of her friends and and say like a little line right and it's just every time like,
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: Super sharp razor blades knives and her stomach and and it wasn't until she actually found the reason and use the dynamic technique and found the root cause.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: of that anxiety that she was able to completely get rid of that, like totally.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: So then when she went up and talked in front of her friends, she was like, no big deal.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it's not a problem anymore, because you actually addressed the root problem.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_01]: And that is the key of dying and exes that you are getting onto the actual problem.
- 15:56[SPEAKER_01]: Because I feel like it's a very common thing in life for people to go about and life and just have
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: Put a bandage over it.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's fine.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: Just keep going and I think that that's something that we've been almost conditioned at this point to just think is normal and okay it's a continue to do even though internally we know that we're not okay.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: dynamic, the special, it actually helps the person to completely break that stigma and get out of it for good because when you use a dynamic technique, you get you're actually drawing this reactive mind so that it can't react against you anymore.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: And you have, you know, you're clearly thinking at that point, you're just to you.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then that's really important is that then you, you get to make it a decision of, okay, great.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_01]: I am going to be terrified in this moment because it's a rational reaction versus, you know, me going up and talking on a stage, not necessarily a rational reaction, when I'm just talking to my friends, right.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: So, we have rational reactions.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_01]: We think clearly, even our intelligence goes up at that point, Dynx does that.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: It helps a person to really become the best version of themselves, so it's just simply you thinking.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_00]: I saw somewhere in, I don't know, maybe in the stats that you gave me or something that like 70% of human elements are psychosomatically.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_00]: That's crazy.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_00]: That is a high number of just things that like we actually could control, but we think like, oh, I just got this and I'm sick.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_00]: And right, and now this is this is what I have.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's no true.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: And it does talk about indian and like how 70% of our illnesses are psychosomatic because, but I'm not right, but if we also were to, you know, actually address the root of our problems, then we could get rid of some of those things because, you know, we ultimately are the people who control of ourselves and if we're causing ourselves to have.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, a lot of the rational behaviors, even anxiety, like that and stress, how many times have you felt way way way way, way overly stressed or overwhelmed and you're just like you hit your max capacity, you can't go past that moment and then you start to like basically tear yourself down a little bit and you're like, okay, I'm just going to not be as productive or I'm not going to take a lot more or whatever and then you end up actually, you know, not doing as much as you you actually could have right.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if we actually handle the root, which is the reactive lines, and we get into those ingrams, we actually handle them and address them, then we honestly don't, we don't have that anymore to be resimulated and to react irrationally.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: It almost sounds too good to be true because I know there's a few and I love playing Devil's advocate.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_00]: So just go with me.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm sure there's people listening going like, okay, yeah, well, I've been working on this in a therapy for a really long time.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like, what's the difference between dynamics in these techniques and what we can learn in this book versus like a traditional therapy where people are going and like, okay, let's really dive into your childhood.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like why do you feel abandoned?
- 19:11[SPEAKER_00]: Why do you have these abandonment issues now?
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: what's happening with that?
- 19:16[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what is the difference between it?
- 19:18[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm sure people are pushing her on.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_00]: I am so sure.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: I can answer that.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: The main difference about that.
- 19:26[SPEAKER_01]: There's actually two differences about dionetic and the biggest points that I want to bring up and the first is that in dionetic, you work with another individual and you're using this dionetic technique.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: And when you do that, what you're doing is you're actually locating these
- 19:44[SPEAKER_01]: And you are working with this person to actually go back and dig into it because some of them are blanked out in their minds.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't want to remember them because there's there's anything there, right?
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: So that person is going to help you and guide you to that moment.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_01]: And then what you do is that you remove all of the negative mental energy that's connected around it.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: So like I use this analogy where if you've ever had an argument with a friend and you know weak later, you're still upset about it.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_01]: use for some reason you just can't get the chip off your shoulder and you're still upset about it.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: But then, you know, you end up talking to a friend and he realized, oh, well, there was just a total misunderstanding and it just dissolves right then, right?
- 20:27[SPEAKER_01]: And then you guys are in back in communication and everything is perfect and that's all I find.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_01]: But there was just a miscommunication that you weren't seeing the full picture, right?
- 20:36[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a very simple example.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_01]: But if you were to expand that into your mental health, we blank out these moments of pain in our life.
- 20:45[SPEAKER_01]: And when we don't have the full picture of it, we are not able to actually handle that, right?
- 20:50[SPEAKER_01]: Because there's something that still doesn't really make sense or we still have an upset there or some kind of pain.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_01]: So when we actually address that and we're able to see the full picture and go, oh, well, I can piece all these pieces together.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: You're able to actually remove the negative mental energy that you have there and completely resolve it with yourself so there's no upset there and actually turns just into a memory just as if you were to have that argument with your friend right just a memory all that happens that's fine, but you can think clearly from there right, but what you're doing with this partner is.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_01]: that they are not evaluating for you and they're not telling you oh well this is why you act like that or this is why you have this problem or oh yeah remember when you blow and they're not going to tell you any of that there are simply there to just listen to you and to help you and to guide you and then I think that's that's the biggest difference of that in a mix because
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: other techniques out there, they evaluate for you and tell you what's wrong with you or tell you, well, you're messed up because of XYZ.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe that's not true for you, right?
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: But you are the only person who knows yourself and you know yourself better than anybody else.
- 22:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so when you're able to actually go on the journey for yourself, I think that's a very, very, very powerful because it's just you making that decision for yourself.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I see the full
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: And then on the other side of that, dynamics is the only technique in the technology out there that actually addresses the reactive minds, this actually was a previously unknown and hidden portion of the minds.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_01]: until dionetics was developed, it actually was not known that there was a reactive mind.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_01]: It was known that there is, you know, there's something else, and we don't exactly know why we act irrationally.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_01]: But the reactive mind is the only the source of all these anxiety and stresses.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_01]: And when you actually adjust that with dionetics, you're able to completely overcome it.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: And dionics is the only technology out there that actually does that for a person.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, Bob and my fam, I have a question for you.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_00]: Are you the kind of person who crushes it at work?
- 23:02[SPEAKER_00]: Shows up for your family, checks off every to-do list.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: But when it comes to your fitness, your energy and your confidence, it feels like something's missing.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_00]: You might be doing the workouts listening to all the right podcasts.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you are listening to this one.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: But deep down, you know you're just kind of going through the motions and you're done playing small in this area of life.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's exactly why I created FitMine Coaching.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: My private one-on-one program for high-achieving women and men who are ready to level up.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_00]: This isn't just another fitness plan, this is about building the body and the mindset to match the life you're working so damn hard for.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because success in business means nothing if you're hiding in hoodies, avoiding mirrors, or dragging through your day with your energy, or showing up on Zoom meetings, feeling good from the chest up, but praying no one ever sees what's going on below the screen.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking about fat loss, muscle building, and real confidence that bleeds into every area of your life.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: Your boredom, your bedroom, and your parenting.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_00]: You want it all?
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: Good.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_00]: You should have it all.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_00]: Click the link in the show notes and book your free call with me today.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: You're ready for more, and I'm ready to show you how back to the show.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I can, what you're saying, like, it makes sense to me in the way to that and how I like train my clients, like, because there's so many people out there that are just like, tell me what to do.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and they're like, just give me the answer, be my trainer, tell me exactly what to do, how many do you do, and tell me exactly what to eat.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_00]: right and they just want to be told what to do and like I'm there to guide them through it, right?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_00]: But with how I do it, it's like, yes, I'm going to give you pieces, but like, you need to figure this out.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_00]: I can give you a guide of like foods to eat, but you really need to see what works best for you and what doesn't.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: I can't just give you, well, I mean, I could, but I don't agree with it anymore.
- 24:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a meal plan.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like, if I give you a meal plan, you're not going to learn.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: You're not going to get down to the root cause of, you know, why you don't eat this way or what happened to your hunger or what's going on through metabolism?
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you have to learn, but there's so many people are just like, no, I need a trainer.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_00]: I need someone in person telling me what to do or is like, if I'm doing it virtually, I'm like, I'm your trainer.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: I'm your guide.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm there.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: But like, your ass has to get up and get to the gym.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: You need to go lift and figure out how to do two more without me standing next to you going,
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like so I can relate how it's like you're doing the work you're getting in there and yes, they're being all that's great, but like you're right someone else is kind of like guiding you through it and I could see how it would that prevent but I don't know another word to say right now, but kind of like prevent you from getting down to like the meat of the issue.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, there's another key data I guess that you could say is what is true for you is what is true for you right like there is not another I personally this is my own pet peeve I hate when people tell me what I have to believe or what I should know or how I should act or whatever and that is my
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's my own personal pet peeve, but also I have experienced telling other people, oh, will you act like blah, or you should do blah, and I always never end well.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like never end well.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_01]: So when you actually are addressing your mental health for yourself, and really getting the full picture for yourself, I think that's way more powerful because you get to get to do that.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_01]: And again, like I was saying, there is nobody who knows you,
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: and you are ultimately going to be that person that sparks the change in yourself.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that is very, very, very important.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people too walk around and they think like, we think of the outsider.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: They might think about themselves that, oh, I'm successful.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_00]: I got, I got a good house, a good marriage.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: I got a good job going on.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_00]: Like my family is like fine.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_00]: And they might not even realize, but especially other people don't realize it like they are mentally stuck.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_00]: there are areas in their life where they're stuck.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: So I think we can't be fooled by what we think is successful, you know, and oh, they got it all together and it's like, they don't.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: And they even know that they don't.
- 27:07[SPEAKER_00]: And I work with pretty, you know, driven high achieving people.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_00]: And when others find out they're working with me, they're like,
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: what you like you see you're doing great and they're like oh I got to go in on the board room you know like a lot's happening there like on my podcast or my business but on the inside they are hurting their stock they're like oh no I am like in fat pants right now but when I'm on zoom meetings you can only see me from
- 27:34[SPEAKER_00]: you're down, you know, and they're like totally hiding.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, I am stuck in a lot of areas of my life.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: And I know it looks good, you know, somewhere on the outside, but in the inside, like, I'm dying.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, I'm not sleeping at night.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm picking the wrong foods.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not showing up for me.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: I got so much good thing.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_00]: So many good things happening here, but back here, man.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I can bench the bar at this point.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_00]: And right, that's a problem.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_00]: I think, and you probably
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I think it's very interesting to look at people who have very good mental health versus other people and you can tell and there's a there's a light and a shining like they shine brighter when your mental health is doing very well.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_01]: whether that's with your partner or your family and your kids and even helping mankind out there.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: Like you are so much more able to do a lot more things in your life and pick your other others around you when you are doing well.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_01]: So absolutely, I think that's a very, very
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: good point, and you, I mean, I've also worked as several people who are very high achievers that've worked with a lot of entrepreneurs who have used the book and the technique of diandetics, and one of them in particular, she was really struggling personally because she would always self-sabotage, like, and specifically in relationship.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_01]: Always always always like there was not a person that she didn't cast in her life and you know like all the men came in and she was like okay great I have to be the first one to cut this off and this is I'm not going to love you forever but what actually happened is that she had watched the passing of her her best friend when she was younger and I had a really.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: powerful and really big impact on her life.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: And there was actually, you know, trauma that was stored there.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: And, and that was later, you know, seeping into her life.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: And so she was just cutting off every relationship.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: And in turn, she wasn't doing the lesson for life.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then it wasn't until she actually used the technique of dynamics and address that root problem that she was able to finally let go of that and go great.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to think.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_01]: painly and clearly right now.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: And I actually can't have an amazing husband and amazing kids and a bomb career like an amazing career.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_01]: And now she's one of the most influential people out there.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, you absolutely have to get your mind right and get your mental health really, you know, really good.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's not good grammar, but you know, but you know, you got to, you got to
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she probably had no clue that that was even.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely connected.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people, you know, when they start evaluating why they're like, still 30 pounds overweight, why they're still doing certain things.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, no, I just know, I know I just need to get up and get to the gym.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, I already know what I need to do.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm just not there yet.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, I'm comfortable in my life and like they're totally lying to themselves.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like, you are not happy every day when you get unrest and get dressed and, you know, having sex and like, like, let's, let's be real here, but people like to just, I don't know, stay surface, stay surface and not admit certain things.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: You're like, no, I'm fine, you know, and you're like,
- 31:00[SPEAKER_00]: Bet you way fine.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know you're not and you're just like trying to hide it.
- 31:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and also on that point, like there is also a reason that people make up random reasons for their irrational behaviors, there is absolutely reason for that.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_01]: And it talked about in the book that analytics and it, it's actually called justified thoughts.
- 31:19[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a very, really good description and a reason behind that in Diannex, but it causes a person that, to actually say and rationalize, they're irrational behaviors every single time.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: Every single time, because they're just like, oh, well, it's fine, I'm just, you know, I'm just not feeling it today.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not feeling it, but if you were to actually go back and to use the dynamic technique and address the roots, you would probably find that there is some sort of phrase that was said during an ingram that was recorded in the reactive minds that later is being restimulated time and time and time and time and again when there's a situation that is very similar in the environment that's learned that first ingram and maybe in that ingram somebody said, I'm just not feeling it today.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: And so then they repeat that over and over and over again.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, there is a there is definitely dynamics is filled with so many different topics and that is definitely a subject in there.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: So you probably like that part.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's crazy.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we can literally justify anything to ourselves.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_00]: Like we can lie enough to ourselves to make us believe anything.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look at how many people enter into like a relationship and then it turns abusive, and they know it, but then they're like, yeah, but they're so good to me in this way.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_00]: Like, maybe it's me, you know, and typically if it's a abusive relationship, that person's not healthy, so it's just pouring gasoline on a massive fire that's already going, but we can make it look like there's a million reasons to stay.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: and that's such a, and we know that you just need one to leave.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_00]: You don't need a million reasons to lead, but we can completely justify that to ourselves.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's just crazy how much we can believe our own wise over and over and over again.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: I see that to with people with training, and you know what a popular thing is for people to say like, why they can't do something?
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: funny finances.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_00]: It is the most justified reason that people in their head justified reason for them that they can't go forward with something that they I can't do this because it's just not in the budget we don't have the money for it like I can't afford this blah blah blah and I'm like oh man you know and sometimes it's true like you just can't make money just vanish.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know where, but when they sit down, like I've had people be like, oh, I had to cancel my gym membership, you know, because of this or I can't, I can't do this because that.
- 33:49[SPEAKER_00]: And then the next thing you know, they're buying or sponging something that was completely unnecessary, or you find out they're going out to eat every single night of the week pretty much.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's hundreds of dollars at night.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_00]: Just one meal.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's so true.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: You see that all the time, but if we've actually invested the time, and really anything that we wanted to actually set our mind to, we could do.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: But there is also a reason behind why we don't do that, or why we don't have the motivation to do things, or why we procrastinate, why we keep doing the same, having the same, have it happen over and over and over and no matter what.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: You can't break it and there is a reason for it and it all lies back in the reactive minds and dynamics can it does address that and get you past that so that you don't have to continue that cycle you break it totally completely and the cool thing about day and that is is that it never comes back.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: never comes back.
- 34:49[SPEAKER_01]: So rather than, you know, just soften a bandaid on it and saying, great, I'm just going to cope today and I'm just going to be okay for, you know, whatever it is a day, a week, a month, maybe a year or whatever, right.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: Dynamics completely handles all of the source.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_01]: and the problems so that the anxieties, the stresses, the self doubts, the procrastination, the lack of motivation.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't come back and you are fueled for life.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_01]: Like you are fueled and you are just simply you and you have more energy, you're more productive, you're creative, you're motivated, you are just simply you and neatly.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that is, I think that that's one of the most empowering like states that you could possibly be in as a person.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's cool and that it's kind of I bring everything back to health and fitness like everything it reminds me of like if you do this journey right and you do it slow and you take everything off like one pound at a time you work on the brain and you work on the body at the same time We're not taking magic pills and shots and shakes like we're doing it one step at a time.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: It will never come back
- 35:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I like how it can be related like if you do the real work on the inside that does not come in back ever and I know we have to we have to read the book and like that will give us everything but are there any like I don't know immediate like useful tips or even like can you give us insight into different techniques that that they use that I don't know because I'm sure people are listening going will like how
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: How?
- 36:20[SPEAKER_00]: How would we do it?
- 36:21[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously read the book, get the big picture how, but can you answer that for us today a little bit of like the how?
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's a very step-by-step technique.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: And as you're saying, obviously you have to read the book to get the whole understanding.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: But I will say that just simply by reading the book, that alone gives you the power of knowledge.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: And that can absolutely give you the power back to people to recognize, oh, well, this is a reactive moment and I know that and I'm going to control myself because, you know, I know that this was somewhere to a pass incident that I had and that's okay, and I'm just going to be here in the presence, right?
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely, because when you have knowledge, that's honestly priceless, and that gives you power.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the first thing.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_01]: And then secondarily, there is a technique in that and that it's and it's a very simple step-by-step technique that anybody can do.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: You can you can read the book with a partner and then do the technique even in your home.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_01]: But what you're doing is that you actually are you're addressing and
- 37:35[SPEAKER_01]: Right, and this person you're working with, we call it in dynamics and auditor, and that is simply somebody who listens and that person is there to just simply listen and to be a team with you to help you to actually locate these painful moments, right, and at the same time, because some of those moments are blank out in our minds that person can be of assistance to actually help you because when the reactive mind is you're getting into the reactive mind, right, you're digging into the reactive mind and you are actually,
- 38:04[SPEAKER_01]: you are finding those painful moments and when that is going the reactive mind can be quite powerful and you need another person there to actually you know help you and be that that supports kind of like they'd ground you like they're going to be kind of a little bit yeah exactly isn't that person that's going to be able to use their analytical power and their analytical mind to actually you know work with you to address these moments.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: So, you are actually going to locate these moments and you're going to use this dynamic technique over and over and over on that same moment and you're getting rid of the negative mental energy that's connected to it, right?
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: Whether it's grief or pain or, you know, anxieties or stresses or whatever feelings and emotions you had at that very moment or maybe with somebody else's, but you are looking at it and taking it back so that you can look at full picture,
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: and then what you're doing is that you eventually, you completely get rid of the negative mental energy that's connected to it.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_01]: So you simply just have a memory and no longer has that attachment or that chain that's connected to it and you can you can from then on live clearly and not have that same moment happen over and over and over again.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_01]: And then the goal of Dynamics is to actually achieve what's called the state of clear, and that is simply just somebody who no longer has the reactive mind.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_01]: So that is the goal and thousands of people out there are achieving this every single year and day because it works time and time again.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's a workable science that.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: There are so many people that are achieving this state of care where they no longer have the chains of a reactant lines and they're not being triggered or restimulated and they're life anymore and they're clearly just thinking for themselves that that that's the goal of dionetics and it's a very powerful.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_01]: the powerful state to be in.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, if any of you.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: Well, because I'm sure that on healed state that you're living in, I mean, that silently, like, shapes how you are as a parent, a partner, a lover, you know, showing up in the gym.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: like all of that is is just kind of guiding you like I don't know I could I could just think of examples of like if I hadn't done the work that I've done how I would parent today would be completely different I would not be on the path as a parent that I am today I would probably continuing some cycles along.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_00]: you know that we're not the best and because I have done the working on on the path I can I can see now how you know I am breaking cycles and stuff but can you think of examples of how I don't know people that you've worked with or stories of people that like there was clearly unresolved stuff and it was impacting how they were taking a different direction of life.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I actually recently worked with a person and he had lost his mom recently and he was really I mean he didn't have a reason for it because but he was so upset and this was month after right and to agree it is it is correct to feel upset and to feel grief but he was he was almost like soaking in it a bit and he realized that that's how he normally operates and he didn't like that.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I worked with him and what we actually found out, and I was using the Dynax tape technique, is that the loss of his mom was actually connected to the loss of his dad, and he didn't think that it was connected because he lost his dad when he was like a year and a half person.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, I mean, yeah, it's fine.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: I lost my dad, but I didn't know him.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_01]: It's okay.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_01]: But then he was still really upset.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason is that it was connected to this past moment.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_01]: And there was a lot of grief that was coming from his mom.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_01]: And he picked up on all that emotion.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that is the same emotion that he was using with his mom, the loss of his mom.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: And it was actually amazing, because when we finished the session, it's what it's called.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: It was about an hour or so.
- 42:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he was so relieved.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_01]: He was so, he was smiling so bright.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: And he was so happy.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, oh my god, like, I cannot believe that that's what it was.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what was holding me back.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I can finally just, I just, I'm thinking of all these beautiful memories of my mom and I just have that, and I don't feel burdened or held back by.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, there's heavy Greek that I have anymore.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: He was just not a carry from her grief.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's crazy.
- 42:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_01]: So that was one really incredible one that I that I worked on.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_01]: And then another one, you know, I had a friend who she for husband actually was a biker and he got into an accident.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_01]: and hurt and leg.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then after that he was on crutches and everything and then he went into the doctor and he was told you're going to have to get surgery.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to have to put pens in and so on and so forth.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: And he was upset by it.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, like, this is not awesome.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like this sucks.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_01]: And she had used the Dynodic technique before and she was like, look, you can totally, you should get medical attention and so on and so forth because you need that.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_01]: But before we get surgery and everything, I want you to do the Dynodic technique and just, you know, alleviate and get rid of all the negative mental charge that you have on this incident because that is very important for healing and.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: She felt the story where he went in and he ought to session maybe like two hours or so and he came out He went in with a cane and he came out with no cane and he was jumping all over the place and his leg was all like Like he was jumping on his leg and everything and she's like, oh my goodness, and he was like It's gone like the pain is gone.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: I completely got rid of all the pain and that's another incident You know the the psychosomatic illness where he addressed
- 43:54[SPEAKER_01]: the roots of his pain and what was sticking that pain and got rid of it so that he like completely got rid of it.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_01]: That was that was an amazing miracle.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_01]: Dianetics says we like to call it.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I believe it girl.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: So much get stuck in there and I just talked about this on another episode not that long ago and I was talking about because that's that connection of the mental work along with the physical again so important to do at the same time and I love now we have another tool and know about this to build a use on our journey because all you know all my listeners clients like you're either interested or you're on the journey.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_00]: Right, like that's why they're here.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I love a little bit of a tool for them, but the other things that they have going on in their life People just don't realize how much that's attached them holding on to the weight or not showing up or turning to food and There's just so much that can be clogging up our system that's impacting everything else and and making you sick or have an Interch holder and they're like, no, no, that happened because I was walking the dog and he pulled me really fast and ever since I my shoulder wasn't the same is it
- 45:00[SPEAKER_00]: Is that you know like what else was going on?
- 45:03[SPEAKER_00]: What else are you storing there and can right and I am sure there are people and what would you say to the the the naysayers that are listening to this going oh my god like
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: really he went in with the king came out of the king like what would you say to them that they're listening right now going I don't know about this.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_01]: I would say that you know we all have things that we want to address in ourselves and whether we admit it to ourselves or whether we tell their people about it you know that's up to you but we all have something we want to improve and that's just a fact and there's always room for improvements.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_01]: And you have to be willing to actually, you know, improve yourself and get yourself to the point where you're willing to experience the change and improve yourself and elevate yourself.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_01]: And every person's different.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_01]: So you just got to take the journey for yourself and know that there is something new to do about your mental health.
- 45:56[SPEAKER_01]: And there is a reason for everything that's happening that you're not sure why it happens.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_01]: There is a reason for it.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: And you can find out about it and dive at it.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this was a great conversation around it.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: How can people find the book?
