- 0:01Speaker 1: Radio.
- 0:03Speaker 2: She's on The Money Radio Show.
- 0:07Speaker 3: With Victoria Divine.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Now, Hello and welcome to that. She's on The Money
- 0:12Speaker 1: Radio Show podcast, the podcast for millennials who want financial freedom.
- 0:20Speaker 3: I'm just not giving you anything, Travels. I heard everything
- 0:24Speaker 3: you said.
- 0:28Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, yeah, that's all you get this week, Cold
- 0:30Speaker 4: Dead Air.
- 0:31Speaker 2: We've had a very We've.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Been busy, we're tie.
- 0:35Speaker 1: Ye're exhaust say, we've had a show this week where
- 0:39Speaker 1: we we.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Love each other, don't lie.
- 0:42Speaker 1: I feel like it's probably something that Victoria has made
- 0:46Speaker 1: us put in our drinks before I have.
- 0:49Speaker 4: So I've been spending a lot of time this week
- 0:52Speaker 4: because I have been traveling on TikTok, right, And when
- 0:55Speaker 4: you're traveling, you're exhausted, so you spend a lot of
- 0:57Speaker 4: time mindlessly scrolling. And I have found myself Mormon TikTok,
- 1:01Speaker 4: which arguably is my favorite place on TikTok to find myself. No, literally,
- 1:06Speaker 4: the drama in that community is wild. It's like someone's
- 1:09Speaker 4: cheating on someone else and like, I just it's wild.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Now they're getting divorced, and like obviously in Utah that's
- 1:14Speaker 4: like so frowned upon. Anyway, I am so deep. It
- 1:17Speaker 4: is not funny, but when you're a Mormon, you don't
- 1:20Speaker 4: drink coffee or tea or any kind of alcohol, and
- 1:23Speaker 4: up until recently, you weren't even allowed to drink any
- 1:26Speaker 4: drinks with caffeine in them. But now coke is accepted.
- 1:30Speaker 4: So all of the Mormon mums on TikTok are going
- 1:33Speaker 4: wild for diet coke, and all through Utah they have
- 1:36Speaker 4: these soda shops. Right, and I have recently discovered a
- 1:40Speaker 4: thing called true lime. This is not sponsored, it is
- 1:42Speaker 4: just good. In fact, it's a really bad money loss
- 1:44Speaker 4: because I had to import it from the US, But
- 1:47Speaker 4: I bought these little sachets of crystallized lime. Not don't like,
- 1:52Speaker 4: let me hear out that full sentence before you cut
- 1:55Speaker 4: me off, but a crystallized lime and you pop it
- 1:58Speaker 4: in your drink tastes exactly like fresh lime. So I
- 2:01Speaker 4: have been carrying that everywhere. I've been putting it in
- 2:03Speaker 4: my water, in my mineral water, I've been putting it
- 2:05Speaker 4: in my diet cokes. And it's changed my life. So
- 2:08Speaker 4: that's my big money tip this week. Waste your money
- 2:10Speaker 4: on crystallized lime.
- 2:12Speaker 3: Okay, story is also wearing a Mormon girdle, and I
- 2:15Speaker 3: wonder how your undergarment. Sorry, it really actually suits you
- 2:20Speaker 3: the one I.
- 2:20Speaker 4: Really really I am quite deep on Mormon TikTok. So
- 2:23Speaker 4: if people would like to send me videos on TikTok
- 2:26Speaker 4: that are not related to Mormon TikTok so I can
- 2:28Speaker 4: find my way out of there, that would be great.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I'm on daytalk. I'm going to send you some.
- 2:33Speaker 4: If you could send me gaytalk videos, that would be
- 2:35Speaker 4: a better place for me.
- 2:36Speaker 3: What are you getting?
- 2:37Speaker 1: You're getting cow trap took right, I'm getting amish one, mate, amish.
- 2:42Speaker 4: I really like you know, there's high land cows and
- 2:45Speaker 4: on that TikTok too.
- 2:46Speaker 2: I don't know what happens with that.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Anyway, you were talking about wasting money on things. We're
- 2:54Speaker 1: going to save you some money. We're going to talk
- 2:55Speaker 1: about whether private school versus public school is any good. Also, Divine,
- 3:00Speaker 1: you've got a pretty damn good tip that I am
- 3:03Speaker 1: not going to tell people just yet because they've got
- 3:05Speaker 1: to listen.
- 3:06Speaker 4: I always have good tips if you like entertainment.
- 3:08Speaker 1: This is going to be a tip for you. All right,
- 3:11Speaker 1: let's get into the show. She's on the Money radio
- 3:14Speaker 1: starts right now. We thought we'd do this this Saturday morning,
- 3:18Speaker 1: let me work.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I want to talk about flipping. I don't know
- 3:23Speaker 3: where you stand on flipping, Victoria, but I know.
- 3:26Speaker 4: You're currently doing flips, no.
- 3:29Speaker 2: Wheels, fling the bird.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, I can flip the bird. I can flip
- 3:33Speaker 4: a cud of.
- 3:33Speaker 3: The Master of Flipping off. Yeah, but I'm talking about
- 3:35Speaker 3: house flipping. I watched The Block. The Block is back.
- 3:38Speaker 3: They're like, we're doing their eighteenth hundredth season with Scott
- 3:40Speaker 3: cam and Shelley Krabb and all. I always watched that
- 3:43Speaker 3: show when I get so inspired, I want to flip
- 3:45Speaker 3: because it seems like you get such a good return
- 3:47Speaker 3: on investment. And I know you're currently flipping or are
- 3:49Speaker 3: you flipping or you're just renovating.
- 3:51Speaker 4: No, no, no, we're not flipping. We are renovating because the
- 3:54Speaker 4: house we bought was definitely not as livable as it
- 3:57Speaker 4: could have been. So when we bought it, we moved
- 3:59Speaker 4: straight in, even though it was like a little bit
- 4:01Speaker 4: worse for wear because one we couldn't afford to renovate
- 4:04Speaker 4: straight away we had to save some coin, but two
- 4:07Speaker 4: we were like, you know what, we're just going to
- 4:09Speaker 4: make do. So now we're renovating and we'll move back
- 4:11Speaker 4: into the house and hopefully we will live there for
- 4:14Speaker 4: a fair few years to come.
- 4:15Speaker 2: She's flipping with the other three houses that she owns me.
- 4:18Speaker 4: I don't own any other properties. If I'm being honest,
- 4:20Speaker 4: I would love to think that one day I'll be
- 4:22Speaker 4: baller enough. Who knows you're the one that's so. I
- 4:25Speaker 4: don't know why we're calling me out.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Let's just move on from that.
- 4:29Speaker 1: But apparently all these celebrities are doing it is definitely
- 4:33Speaker 1: the cool thing to be doing now, and it does
- 4:34Speaker 1: look so easy.
- 4:35Speaker 4: But well, the block makes it look easy. People on
- 4:38Speaker 4: Instagram makes it look easy. I follow these girls on
- 4:42Speaker 4: Instagram who I'm obsessed with three birds. They make it
- 4:45Speaker 4: look like a dream. My house is not going to
- 4:47Speaker 4: look anything like that, but that's okay.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Is there anything you thought was going to look amazing
- 4:51Speaker 1: and then it looked absolutely rubbish? Or did your partner
- 4:54Speaker 1: Steve O like accidentally put a sledgehammer through the wall, Like,
- 4:57Speaker 1: have you experienced.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Something like that?
- 4:59Speaker 4: No, nothing thing yet. They have only gone through the
- 5:02Speaker 4: demo stage, so the point was actually to put things
- 5:05Speaker 4: through the wall. I'll be a little bit more concerned
- 5:07Speaker 4: if we get like a slab of marble in there
- 5:09Speaker 4: and someone breaks that because I'll be a little bit salty.
- 5:12Speaker 4: But our budget has completely blown out because trades are
- 5:15Speaker 4: so much more expensive. So that's why it's kept getting
- 5:18Speaker 4: pushed off and off. Like I bought this house and
- 5:20Speaker 4: announced on Instagram to at that point in time like
- 5:23Speaker 4: my four followers, that I was going to renovate my house,
- 5:25Speaker 4: and it's actually another eight months past that because everything
- 5:29Speaker 4: has been blowing out. Trades are hard to secure. You know,
- 5:32Speaker 4: all of the things that we're purchasing are like thirty
- 5:35Speaker 4: percent more expensive, which is meant We've rejigged the budget
- 5:39Speaker 4: a bit to cut it back and changed the way
- 5:41Speaker 4: that we're doing it because I just can't justify it
- 5:43Speaker 4: if I'm being honest.
- 5:44Speaker 2: No, hang on a second.
- 5:45Speaker 1: You were telling me about a SPA that you were
- 5:47Speaker 1: putting in, mister viral, All.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Right, what happens?
- 5:49Speaker 4: Right? I don't need to be called out on national radio.
- 5:52Speaker 2: You're doing that at about it?
- 5:54Speaker 3: What's happening with the SPA.
- 5:56Speaker 4: I know we're not because it was going to be
- 5:58Speaker 4: too hard. So I wanted a SPA because I have
- 6:02Speaker 4: learned from Richie, who is one of our producers that
- 6:05Speaker 4: you can buy SPA's secondhand on Facebook Marketplace for a
- 6:07Speaker 4: very good deal. I was like, this is a great idea.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Turns out the house I have doesn't have any back
- 6:13Speaker 4: access and we have you know, power lines and stuff
- 6:16Speaker 4: out the front of the house. So when I asked
- 6:18Speaker 4: my builder, you know, can we get a SPA through
- 6:20Speaker 4: the back, and then he was like, yeah, of course.
- 6:22Speaker 4: So what we'll need to do is get a helicopter
- 6:24Speaker 4: and have it lifted up and over. And I was like, ah,
- 6:27Speaker 4: I wish I never asked. So found a five hundred
- 6:29Speaker 4: dollars one that you can buy from Targets inflatable probably
- 6:32Speaker 4: going to go with that.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I've got that, Victoria. Have you actually every night? Oh
- 6:36Speaker 3: my god, I'm doing the show from it right now.
- 6:38Speaker 4: O my Well, I just need an inflatable one then,
- 6:42Speaker 4: because there is no chance that I am going to
- 6:44Speaker 4: pay for a helicopter to lift one into my garden.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Not another one. I mean, want to tell you the one.
- 6:50Speaker 3: I was going to say, the one that takes you
- 6:54Speaker 3: to the radio station every weekend to do the show.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Can we're talking about that? Let's just open up the lines.
- 6:58Speaker 4: What do you reckon?
- 6:59Speaker 5: Mitch? Yeah?
- 7:00Speaker 2: I reckon we do thirteen one oh six five.
- 7:02Speaker 1: We want to know from you right now, if you're
- 7:05Speaker 1: renovating or if you have renovated reno blowouts, what were
- 7:09Speaker 1: you expecting? How much did it actually cost you? And
- 7:12Speaker 1: we want to hear those absolute crazy stories.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Because let me work kid down six.
- 7:21Speaker 3: All right, we're talking renolds and when the budget blew
- 7:23Speaker 3: out because Victoria apparently there wasn't enough concrete in the
- 7:26Speaker 3: state of Victoria to build her helipad. So she's got
- 7:29Speaker 3: a headache after headache after headache. She's currently trying to
- 7:32Speaker 3: slip her house. So we want to know reno blowouts,
- 7:35Speaker 3: when expectations verse reality, when it goes wrong, when the
- 7:37Speaker 3: budget blows out. Thirteen one oh six five.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Who do we have, trav We have got Jarlene, who
- 7:43Speaker 1: I kind of want to sing like that Dolly Parton song,
- 7:45Speaker 1: je Joe, Jarlie, Jarlene.
- 7:48Speaker 2: What happened? Mate? Talk to us about your reno blowouts.
- 7:51Speaker 5: So we bought an older house about five years ago,
- 7:54Speaker 5: and we decided to get married that year and we
- 7:58Speaker 5: had a lot of Rehninno's to do at the same time.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Time is the wedding and a week out from the
- 8:02Speaker 5: wedding really couldn't pay some of the bills because we
- 8:04Speaker 5: didn't really think it's through that.
- 8:05Speaker 4: Well, ah, you are leaving my worst nightmare. We literally
- 8:10Speaker 4: our like official move in date is like literally the
- 8:13Speaker 4: day before our wedding, because obviously I like cutting things
- 8:16Speaker 4: fine and that that gives me mad anxiety. Charlie. I
- 8:20Speaker 4: think that's really rude of you to call and give
- 8:22Speaker 4: that information to me at this point in time.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I know about that.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Do you give you this time, Charlie, Charlie, why don't
- 8:29Speaker 3: you just cancel the wedding venue a house and do
- 8:33Speaker 3: a house wedding. See trave and I are on the
- 8:35Speaker 3: same page. That is cost Maybe it's he's on the
- 8:37Speaker 3: money because just have the wedding at home.
- 8:39Speaker 5: Yeah, no, the wedding was at home, so we were
- 8:42Speaker 5: running for the wedding to be at home.
- 8:44Speaker 6: So I wanted everything to look.
- 8:45Speaker 2: You know, I'm kind of getting that.
- 8:48Speaker 1: You know, I think is at friends when Ross marries
- 8:50Speaker 1: the English chick and.
- 8:51Speaker 2: They're going that like really dilapidated building. Is that what
- 8:54Speaker 2: it was like, Charlie.
- 8:56Speaker 3: It was.
- 8:58Speaker 2: You got to make do with what you've got, you know,
- 9:00Speaker 2: That's what my house looks like. And that's what she
- 9:02Speaker 2: said about her husband as well. Anyway, get your calls
- 9:06Speaker 2: on thirty one or six five talking reddo blowouts. What
- 9:09Speaker 2: happened to you?
- 9:10Speaker 3: Laza? I love?
- 9:11Speaker 4: Hey?
- 9:12Speaker 6: How are you good?
- 9:13Speaker 2: Mane? How are you?
- 9:13Speaker 3: What happens?
- 9:14Speaker 6: Gosh? This was all the beginning of COVID. So we
- 9:18Speaker 6: found up we're pregnant. So we decided that we're going
- 9:20Speaker 6: to have to extend the house, and we decided to
- 9:22Speaker 6: include two new bathrooms and add an extra bedroom upstairs.
- 9:26Speaker 4: That's exciting.
- 9:27Speaker 6: It was either that or move house.
- 9:29Speaker 2: It's probably a bit easier option, if I'm.
- 9:31Speaker 6: On us looking back now, I wish we did. But
- 9:34Speaker 6: not only was that pregnant and quite hormonal, but also
- 9:37Speaker 6: very conscious of money given that COVID was happening. And
- 9:41Speaker 6: so we engage these two carpenters and we signed a
- 9:45Speaker 6: contract for thirty five thousand dollars. Okay, And I've always thought,
- 9:50Speaker 6: you know, you've always have a bit of a buffer,
- 9:51Speaker 6: and my parents have always said, you know, whatever you
- 9:54Speaker 6: get quoted always at about ten to fifteen percent. So
- 9:57Speaker 6: we had that buffer and it was all going to
- 9:59Speaker 6: be taken out of them mortgage as well.
- 10:00Speaker 4: That's some valued in the property too, So not the
- 10:03Speaker 4: worst idea.
- 10:03Speaker 6: Not the worst idea, I guess. But then you know
- 10:06Speaker 6: they started to work one day, one of the treaties
- 10:10Speaker 6: has decided not to turn up. Oh good, So I'm calling,
- 10:14Speaker 6: I'm calling, I'm texting. He basically texted back about maybe
- 10:18Speaker 6: eight hours later to say, oh, I'm not coming back.
- 10:21Speaker 4: Why though, my brain?
- 10:22Speaker 3: Why why?
- 10:24Speaker 6: Well? That was my question and the only text I
- 10:27Speaker 6: got back was job seeker is far more lucrative to me.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Because there's a lot to unpack here.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Hang a novel of Hang on a second, are you
- 10:38Speaker 1: telling me, Laza that trades are lazy?
- 10:42Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 10:43Speaker 3: This country is built on tradees guys.
- 10:45Speaker 2: So it might take a little bit longer Mitch, but
- 10:47Speaker 2: it is built on him.
- 10:48Speaker 3: Yes, my heart, my heart bleeds.
- 10:50Speaker 5: All right.
- 10:51Speaker 4: I have an idea we move on because I feel
- 10:53Speaker 4: like this is dangerous territory.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Hey, I'm a decent mechanic by trade. I'm allowed to
- 10:56Speaker 2: say that anyway.
- 10:57Speaker 1: If you've got yourself for money's a lemma, and you
- 10:59Speaker 1: want us to help you, just search.
- 11:00Speaker 2: She's on the money on socials this week.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I believe it's well, it says Andrea, but I think
- 11:05Speaker 1: we can all agree it's pronounced Andrea.
- 11:08Speaker 3: I know we'll probably get her on and she'll be like,
- 11:10Speaker 3: it's pronounced on one's advice. Andrea wants to know private
- 11:13Speaker 3: or public school for secondary education? Victoria, I know you've
- 11:16Speaker 3: got opinions on this. I do too. We'll unpack it. Next.
- 11:21Speaker 3: This is she's on the Money radio show.
- 11:23Speaker 1: We've got ourselves a money Jelemma guy. So it's time
- 11:25Speaker 1: to do this.
- 11:28Speaker 3: All right? Each week we bring someone's financial story on
- 11:30Speaker 3: the ED again Victoria's advice on what they should do.
- 11:33Speaker 3: So Andrea has sent us a DM. She wants to
- 11:36Speaker 3: know private versus public secondary education and if it's worth
- 11:40Speaker 3: coughing up the money for private school. So she says, Hello, Vi,
- 11:43Speaker 3: I've been arguing with my husband about whether we should
- 11:45Speaker 3: send out three children to a private or public secondary school.
- 11:49Speaker 3: He was a private school boy, and he's on a
- 11:51Speaker 3: big tradition. Even if it means we'll have to make
- 11:53Speaker 3: huge sacrifices. He won't budge. I went to a public
- 11:57Speaker 3: school and she turned out. Okay, we've been quoted fees
- 12:00Speaker 3: to the private school the one that he wants. It
- 12:02Speaker 3: will cost them thirty k per year, get this per child?
- 12:07Speaker 3: She just feels like, I know the money could be
- 12:08Speaker 3: spent better elsewhere. Do you think this is for UV?
- 12:11Speaker 3: It would be irresponsible to spend this much money? Or
- 12:14Speaker 3: is private school the way to go?
- 12:16Speaker 4: Do you know what parents want? Unsolicited opinions from people
- 12:19Speaker 4: who aren't parents yet, So I'm glad you asked. So
- 12:22Speaker 4: what's gas in mind? I just think it's such a
- 12:25Speaker 4: personal decision, right, Like, if you've got three kids at
- 12:28Speaker 4: thirty grand each, that's ninety thousand dollars a year that
- 12:31Speaker 4: is actually higher than the average salary and Australian makes
- 12:35Speaker 4: each you. So like, if you've got the funds and
- 12:37Speaker 4: that's aligned to your values, then you do you. But
- 12:40Speaker 4: I also think it's really dependent on who the child
- 12:43Speaker 4: is and what they thrive with or not. You know,
- 12:46Speaker 4: I went to a Catholic school, so it wasn't private,
- 12:49Speaker 4: but it also wasn't public. I kind of was in
- 12:51Speaker 4: the middle ground. But I'm also like, let's be honest,
- 12:53Speaker 4: like I'm probably the biggest nerd you've ever met. I'm
- 12:56Speaker 4: the finance podcaster. So I feel like someone like me,
- 13:00Speaker 4: if probably was going to thrive inside or outside public
- 13:02Speaker 4: school or private school. Like, I don't think it really
- 13:05Speaker 4: mattered because I was one teeing up friendships with the
- 13:09Speaker 4: librarian and to asking questions from grade seven about how
- 13:13Speaker 4: to apply to be the debating team captain. So I
- 13:15Speaker 4: just feel like my career, yeah, I just feel like
- 13:19Speaker 4: my experience when it comes to education was probably very
- 13:23Speaker 4: different to you know, other kids who might be really
- 13:26Speaker 4: interested in trades, or really interested in working with their hands,
- 13:30Speaker 4: or actually need a lot more discipline and guidance. So
- 13:33Speaker 4: to be honest, I feel like this is a really
- 13:35Speaker 4: personal decision. But I also want to look on the
- 13:37Speaker 4: flip side of wealth creation and go, if you've got
- 13:40Speaker 4: ninety thousand dollars a year to spend, because that's post
- 13:43Speaker 4: tax too, that's so much money. If you've got that money,
- 13:47Speaker 4: would it actually be better to be investing that or
- 13:50Speaker 4: even buying a home in a different location where the
- 13:53Speaker 4: public school is better. I don't feel like the question
- 13:56Speaker 4: I'm being asked right now is Victoria, do you think
- 13:59Speaker 4: public or private edge ducation is better? Because, like, to me,
- 14:01Speaker 4: that's a very deep question to ask. But if you're
- 14:04Speaker 4: in the financial circumstance where like we can afford this,
- 14:07Speaker 4: I think we actually should be looking at whether you
- 14:10Speaker 4: want to afford that or there are other luxuries in
- 14:13Speaker 4: life that you would like to afford your children, right,
- 14:15Speaker 4: Like we're ninety grand a year and then going to
- 14:17Speaker 4: public school. Look at the holidays you could have, or
- 14:20Speaker 4: even maybe that means that you know you as a
- 14:23Speaker 4: parent could actually go back to part time work to
- 14:25Speaker 4: be more present. Like there are just so many options
- 14:28Speaker 4: when it comes to finance. And yeah, it's just such
- 14:31Speaker 4: a personal question.
- 14:32Speaker 3: It's tough. I also think school is more for socializing
- 14:35Speaker 3: than it really is for learning, especially high school, like
- 14:38Speaker 3: go to university to actually learn your specialty. But for me,
- 14:41Speaker 3: I went to a public school, and all.
- 14:43Speaker 4: In our case, we probably should be looking at private.
- 14:48Speaker 3: Wow. I was about to get up on my soapbox
- 14:50Speaker 3: and preach, but because I'm not private school educated, I
- 14:53Speaker 3: don't know how to do that.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I think as well, it's more about sometimes the parents
- 14:57Speaker 1: just kind of saying, hey, look my kids go to
- 14:59Speaker 1: private school. It's like buying that flashy car or whatever.
- 15:02Speaker 1: It's all about it it's more for jay kids.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Yeah, and to me, if you really need to look
- 15:07Speaker 4: at what the kids are going to thrive in and
- 15:10Speaker 4: also the reason why you're making those decisions, because as
- 15:13Speaker 4: I also.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Can I just say, the school uniform suck and your
- 15:15Speaker 3: kids will look ugly. It's always like some sort of
- 15:18Speaker 3: World War two jacket and these awful pants and boots.
- 15:21Speaker 4: I got really lucky the school I went to. The
- 15:24Speaker 4: colors were navy and white, so I feel like that
- 15:26Speaker 4: was quite complimentary. But as yeah, I know right like,
- 15:30Speaker 4: I just went with my vibe. I liked the aesthetic.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Do you know what? I think?
- 15:33Speaker 1: We've actually saved Andrea and her husband ninety thousand dollars
- 15:37Speaker 1: a year, because that's how good we are right here
- 15:40Speaker 1: at she's on the money.
- 15:41Speaker 4: I don't say we don't do anything for you.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Our favorite segment of all times coming up right now,
- 15:47Speaker 1: since the same Saturday every week, Victoria, you give us
- 15:51Speaker 1: a sneaky couple of little tips and how we can
- 15:53Speaker 1: keep more money in our bank account, which you got
- 15:55Speaker 1: for us this week to vite.
- 15:56Speaker 4: Well, this week, I'm going to go first, but Mitch
- 15:59Speaker 4: said he has a.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Good Do you remember what happened last week when we
- 16:02Speaker 2: said this, okay.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Look, just because we don't trust him doesn't mean we
- 16:05Speaker 4: shouldn't hear him out.
- 16:06Speaker 3: The amount of bullying I face on this show. This
- 16:08Speaker 3: is a good tip life do the show.
- 16:11Speaker 4: You can take that to HR later.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Wow.
- 16:14Speaker 4: All right, so here's my tip. All right, So you
- 16:16Speaker 4: guys might not like this, because Mitch, I don't think
- 16:18Speaker 4: that you would ever part with anything in your wardrobe,
- 16:20Speaker 4: but it is time to do a bit of a
- 16:22Speaker 4: spring clean. And while you are there, you can either
- 16:25Speaker 4: sell some stuff that you're not using or donate it
- 16:28Speaker 4: or put it to better use. I have recently gone
- 16:30Speaker 4: through my wardrobe and pulled out a few dresses that
- 16:33Speaker 4: were from last summer that I was saving for this
- 16:35Speaker 4: summer that I just know I'm not going to wear,
- 16:38Speaker 4: and I've chucked them on Facebook marketplace. Wham bam, thank you.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Ma'm fifty bucks each dress. I've gotten rid of a few,
- 16:44Speaker 4: and now I can go on by another one.
- 16:46Speaker 3: You want to post them? Or did your pa post them?
- 16:49Speaker 4: Do you know what? What's your tip? Mitch? So I
- 16:52Speaker 4: can cut it straight down?
- 16:54Speaker 1: I was going to say, Mitch, you look amazing in
- 16:56Speaker 1: those summer dresses as well, Mate.
- 16:57Speaker 3: You look thank you. I went to linkraft and got
- 17:00Speaker 3: about three meters of linen and just cut a hole
- 17:02Speaker 3: in it. All right, Just washing my fat guy. Honey,
- 17:08Speaker 3: listen to you guys. Let's write more ammunition for HR
- 17:11Speaker 3: after the show in the corner. My tip is fantastic.
- 17:14Speaker 3: I think we should all grow our vegetables. Let me
- 17:18Speaker 3: finish in our own home garden. So you get some
- 17:23Speaker 3: soil from Bunnings. Lettuce was eleven dollars recently, but actually would.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Drive me to try and grow my own vegetables.
- 17:30Speaker 3: And yeah, you got a Bunnies, you get your own
- 17:33Speaker 3: seed links. Now it's a nine to eighteen week process.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Of course, for the growing, it's a long game. It's
- 17:37Speaker 3: an investment.
- 17:40Speaker 4: Commitment exactly.
- 17:41Speaker 3: It's a nine to eighteen weeks and you'll have your
- 17:43Speaker 3: own lettuce by that time. Let us will have already
- 17:46Speaker 3: skyrocketed to one hundred dollars.
- 17:47Speaker 4: So you can sell it on Facebook Marketplace. You don't
- 17:51Speaker 4: have anything in your wardrobe. You can just sell the
- 17:53Speaker 4: lettuces you just grew.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Thank you very much. There you go. That's called cross collaboration.
- 17:57Speaker 3: And yeah, you could do carrots, you can do turmeric root.
- 18:00Speaker 4: That's a great tip.
- 18:01Speaker 6: Mitch.
- 18:01Speaker 4: We're in your apartment. Are you putting your reggie guards?
- 18:04Speaker 2: We're in your west apartment. Are you doing this?
- 18:06Speaker 3: Mate, I have to get counsel approvement approval, but it's coming,
- 18:10Speaker 3: it's coming. I'll send you photos of my cucumbers.
- 18:12Speaker 4: Right, how much are you going to spend on like
- 18:14Speaker 4: seedlings and all of that, Like how much it'll be free?
- 18:16Speaker 3: It'll be spun con with me in Bunning's warehouse.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Oh right, yeah, okay, I'll hit them up. I'll let
- 18:22Speaker 4: them know if they're looking for a new influencer. It
- 18:24Speaker 4: is million dollar Mitch. Al right, So I actually I'm
- 18:27Speaker 4: just moving on. I have no comment. I have another
- 18:30Speaker 4: tip for you guys, and I remember this one from
- 18:32Speaker 4: primary school, triv you're probably too old you would remember
- 18:37Speaker 4: it from maybe like your teenage years. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Do you remember the entertainment books? You don't remember entertaining?
- 18:45Speaker 4: Remember you just choosing to be a pest? Okay? So
- 18:48Speaker 4: the entertainment books were books that you got and you
- 18:51Speaker 4: could buy them. And I remember they used to sell
- 18:53Speaker 4: them in the office at my primary school. You go
- 18:56Speaker 4: and get them, and they had all these coupons in it,
- 18:59Speaker 4: so like Coop for the movies, and it might be
- 19:01Speaker 4: like take two friends and the popcorns free. And they
- 19:04Speaker 4: were jam packed full of value and obviously that's gone
- 19:08Speaker 4: a little bit out of trend. It's not in vogue anymore.
- 19:11Speaker 4: But you know what is an app? So they've made
- 19:13Speaker 4: an app amazing. So now you get the Entertainment Book.
- 19:16Speaker 4: They haven't updated that. It's called the Entertainment Book, but
- 19:20Speaker 4: it's an app now. So it's full of like a
- 19:22Speaker 4: whole heap of really good discounts and different deals like
- 19:25Speaker 4: they do everything from restaurants to experiences, to weekends away
- 19:29Speaker 4: to free popcorn at the movies.
- 19:30Speaker 2: It's money we now do you.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Have to I remember you bought the Entertainment Book? Do
- 19:34Speaker 1: you can you buy a subscription?
- 19:37Speaker 3: Is it?
- 19:37Speaker 5: Like?
- 19:37Speaker 4: I don't know how it works, to be honest, I
- 19:39Speaker 4: just know it exists and I was impressed. Share it
- 19:42Speaker 4: with the reunity. Yeah, that's all I've got.
- 19:45Speaker 1: So anyone can tell us how it works to hit
- 19:47Speaker 1: us up at sees on the money anywhere on social
- 19:49Speaker 1: is that.
- 19:49Speaker 4: The contribution is still better than Mitch's.
- 19:51Speaker 1: It is one hey speaking that we are going to
- 19:55Speaker 1: get out of here for your Saturday morning. Mitch, you've
- 19:57Speaker 1: got to stick around. That's your punishment for bringing crap tips.
- 19:59Speaker 1: You've got do another show, The Life on Cut with
- 20:03Speaker 1: britt Hockley and Laura Burn.
- 20:05Speaker 2: That is coming up with you next Yeah, I don't mind.
- 20:07Speaker 3: I mean, you know, I'll have ninety K send my
- 20:09Speaker 3: kids to private school with all the shows that I do,
- 20:10Speaker 3: so and I'll do it. Maybe I'll see you next week.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Everybody, all right, see you bye,
