- 0:18Speaker 3: and most authentic version of yourself.
- 0:20Speaker 1: We help you shed the shame grows to a new level.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're gonna laugh, cry, and talk about the topics everyone
- 0:26Speaker 1: else is too afraid to talk about.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Get ready for your next level of self.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Hello everybody, Welcome back to a Wednesday episode. Today, we
- 0:35Speaker 1: have a random episode of random thoughts. Yeah, but we
- 0:37Speaker 1: thought it would be really interesting and just maybe entertaining
- 0:40Speaker 1: if you guys listen to. So both got a bunch
- 0:43Speaker 1: of random thoughts and we're gonna chat about them together,
- 0:45Speaker 1: so you guys can hear. Yeah, help me to go first.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely, bring it in.
- 0:49Speaker 1: As you guys may or may have not known, I
- 0:51Speaker 1: had my second brain aneurism surgery a couple of weeks ago,
- 0:54Speaker 1: and I just had this random thought and I see
- 0:56Speaker 1: you looking down at my wrist. I'm like, how the
- 0:59Speaker 1: fuck do they operate on my brain by going up
- 1:03Speaker 1: through my wrist? And I know a lot of you
- 1:05Speaker 1: are thinking this because a lot of you dm me
- 1:07Speaker 1: asking why I had didn't get any of my hair shaved.
- 1:10Speaker 1: So when Steve had a brain aneurysm, they had to
- 1:11Speaker 1: cut his whole skull open, shave the back of it,
- 1:15Speaker 1: cut it all open, pull his brain out, pull out
- 1:17Speaker 1: the aneurysm. He'll all put it all back together. He's
- 1:20Speaker 1: got this massive scar, like the hair never grows back
- 1:23Speaker 1: where his scar is. It was a wild thing his
- 1:25Speaker 1: hospital for six months, whereas mine, my anneurism was a
- 1:28Speaker 1: lot smaller than his. In a different type of anneurysm.
- 1:31Speaker 1: They literally go up through my arterie, through my wrist
- 1:34Speaker 1: and insert a stent into my aneurism, which is mind blowing.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Like thinking about it, I'm like, what the actual fuck.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And they can do that for heart surgeries as well.
- 1:43Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 1:43Speaker 1: They can go through your wrist and through your growing
- 1:45Speaker 1: up to your heart and put stents in there. It's
- 1:48Speaker 1: mind blowing, right, that's impressive. It's really impressive even the
- 1:53Speaker 1: thought of that.
- 1:54Speaker 2: I know how you barely have a scar.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I know there's two tiny little scars from both surgeries,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and like you have to look up close to see them.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Looks like a little pencil mark, you know, when someone
- 2:03Speaker 1: like holds a Pence reckle twist. Yeah, so that's my
- 2:06Speaker 1: first random thought. What's yours? I was having this.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Thought last night.
- 2:10Speaker 3: So I just got back from the Billie Eilish concert
- 2:12Speaker 3: in Brisbane and I left the concert. We were waiting
- 2:15Speaker 3: for our driver to come get us, and I was
- 2:18Speaker 3: sitting there thinking how crazy is it that her life?
- 2:22Speaker 3: That imagine having the whole world be your biggest fan,
- 2:26Speaker 3: And I just was thinking in my head like she
- 2:28Speaker 3: wouldn't be able to live a normal life. Even in
- 2:30Speaker 3: the airport there was photos of her being photographed. You
- 2:34Speaker 3: could not even see her skin, babe, and she was
- 2:36Speaker 3: so easily identifiable, obviously by the way that she dresses,
- 2:39Speaker 3: but people knew.
- 2:40Speaker 2: That it was her.
- 2:41Speaker 3: She had like a mask on Sonny's a hat or hoodie. Yeah,
- 2:44Speaker 3: like photo she was fully covered and people could identify her.
- 2:49Speaker 2: This is so random.
- 2:49Speaker 3: For this is literally what I've been thinking about the
- 2:51Speaker 3: last twenty four hours. Random thought is that I remember
- 2:55Speaker 3: looking at her on stage and looking at her on
- 2:56Speaker 3: the big screen and thinking like, wow, she looks sad today.
- 2:59Speaker 3: And then I ended up talking to my brother about
- 3:01Speaker 3: it in the morning and he go, oh, yeah, she's
- 3:03Speaker 3: been really sick. So she's performing while she's been really sick,
- 3:07Speaker 3: So makes sense why I thought that. And also this
- 3:10Speaker 3: Australian tool is her first tool without her family. She's
- 3:14Speaker 3: not performing with her brother, which she normally does, and
- 3:16Speaker 3: it's like the best thing in the world to her,
- 3:19Speaker 3: Like she just wouldn't live a normal life. No, Like,
- 3:21Speaker 3: how does she go anywhere? How does she do anything?
- 3:24Speaker 3: Does she leave the house?
- 3:25Speaker 1: Like?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Imagine having the whole world obsessed with.
- 3:27Speaker 3: You, that you literally have raving fans that are screaming
- 3:31Speaker 3: everywhere that you go.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I can't imagine. I thought about that when Taylor came
- 3:34Speaker 1: to Taylor Swift. I was like, whoa, I just can't
- 3:36Speaker 1: imagine your life like that.
- 3:37Speaker 2: It's insane.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Yeah, every move, everything you do is been watched, you
- 3:41Speaker 1: being followed. Everyone's so interested, so much gets made up
- 3:44Speaker 1: about you, assumed about you. You get criticized for everything.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Oh but even like sitting in the crowd, I was
- 3:50Speaker 3: thinking to myself, like people literally screaming like behind, in
- 3:53Speaker 3: and in front from everywhere.
- 3:54Speaker 2: I love you, Billy. I just can't.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Fathom that people can't hold it together when it's another
- 4:01Speaker 3: human thing.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Do you know what I mean?
- 4:03Speaker 1: No, I can't relate to it. There's never been in
- 4:05Speaker 1: the celebrity that I would ever camp out for, yeah,
- 4:08Speaker 1: or line up for ten hours or there's not even
- 4:11Speaker 1: that many live concerts I've gone to. Like, I love
- 4:13Speaker 1: a lot of artists, but to be that obsessed with them,
- 4:16Speaker 1: I can't relate.
- 4:16Speaker 2: It's wild.
- 4:17Speaker 3: And you know, you see videos of people on social
- 4:19Speaker 3: media and they're like crying and their videos and hysterically
- 4:22Speaker 3: crying oh.
- 4:22Speaker 2: God, like and I'm just like, that's another human being.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Like, imagine putting aside the love and the admiration that
- 4:28Speaker 3: you have for that person, Imagine how that would be
- 4:31Speaker 3: on the receiving end for that person.
- 4:33Speaker 2: Like, I just can't fathom.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I can't fathom that either. Wow. You know what
- 4:37Speaker 1: I'm pondering on at the moment because I got sent
- 4:40Speaker 1: this screenshot from a gossip page the other day, and
- 4:43Speaker 1: people just send me a screenshot. It's not like, hey, babe,
- 4:46Speaker 1: really supporting you, like what you let know about this.
- 4:48Speaker 1: They just send me a screenshot of what people are
- 4:50Speaker 1: saying about me. And people the other day were saying
- 4:52Speaker 1: that for someone who's so well put together, which thank you,
- 4:55Speaker 1: I don't feel like I'm always put.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Together you think I'm well put together.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Her kids look homeless. You think she'd take her son
- 5:01Speaker 1: to get a haircut because he just got a cut,
- 5:04Speaker 1: actually because of them. Yeah, he decided to Actually, the
- 5:07Speaker 1: hairdresser fucking decided to go shorter, but he had long hand.
- 5:10Speaker 1: He really loved it. He wanted his curls back from
- 5:12Speaker 1: when he was younger, and you can see Tyler's got curls.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Says he want his curls back. I said, you probably
- 5:16Speaker 1: need to grow your hair because when it cuts, it
- 5:18Speaker 1: cuts the curls off at the ends. When it gets longer,
- 5:20Speaker 1: he gets curly ends. So he wanted to grow it long.
- 5:22Speaker 1: And he got his curls back, and he was loving it.
- 5:24Speaker 1: It was starting to kind of get in his eyes
- 5:26Speaker 1: a bit, and we went to get a trim, which
- 5:28Speaker 1: he wanted, and the hairdresser ended up getting Sis are
- 5:30Speaker 1: happy and it's way shorter now. But I was just pondering.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I'm like, I went really deep in it. One. Why
- 5:36Speaker 1: are you sending me this? It doesn't serve me. What
- 5:38Speaker 1: I don't know doesn't hurt me. Let me live over
- 5:40Speaker 1: here in fairyland. I don't give a fuck what's saying
- 5:42Speaker 1: behind my back? Truly, Yes, it doesn't impact me in
- 5:45Speaker 1: a positive way if you send it.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Yes.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Three, Why are you in a gossip page? What does
- 5:50Speaker 1: that do for your life? What makes you want to
- 5:53Speaker 1: join in there? What makes you want to stay in there?
- 5:56Speaker 1: What makes you want to engage? I want you to
- 5:57Speaker 1: think about what emotional needs this is meeting for you?
- 6:01Speaker 1: Is it significance? Is it community? Is it connection? Is
- 6:05Speaker 1: it variety? And understand all of that, but is there
- 6:08Speaker 1: a healthier, more productive way to get those needs met?
- 6:13Speaker 1: Is this helping you achieve your goals? Definitely not? Is
- 6:15Speaker 1: this helping you be the woman you know you can be?
- 6:18Speaker 1: Definitely not? Is this helping you be a better mother?
- 6:20Speaker 1: One hundred percent not? Ye. Is your partner attracted to
- 6:23Speaker 1: you being in gossip pages looking at if I'm bitching
- 6:26Speaker 1: about other girls? Definitely not. Would you want your daughter
- 6:29Speaker 1: to be in there bitching about other girls? Nope? What
- 6:31Speaker 1: would you think about your sister being in there having
- 6:33Speaker 1: a bitch about other girls? You wouldn't like that?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Not at all?
- 6:36Speaker 1: So why are you in there? I've just been pondering
- 6:38Speaker 1: on it. I'm like, seem really curious on why these
- 6:41Speaker 1: women are in there? And I had another girl reach
- 6:43Speaker 1: out and she was really lovely. It was actually about
- 6:45Speaker 1: being in hospital, and someone sent a screenshot saying that
- 6:48Speaker 1: all the nurses were laughing at me in hospital and
- 6:50Speaker 1: they're going to find out the tea about me. They
- 6:52Speaker 1: know someone that works in there. And I was just like,
- 6:54Speaker 1: oh my god, is this legal. I spoke to Meg
- 6:58Speaker 1: about it and she's like, no, they would lose their job.
- 7:00Speaker 1: It's like full confidentiality, then allow us speak about you.
- 7:03Speaker 1: And they obviously are the trolls are just making things up.
- 7:06Speaker 1: I'm not too sure, but I was just like, wow,
- 7:09Speaker 1: this happens. I would never It just got me really
- 7:13Speaker 1: curious as to why women do that, what they get
- 7:16Speaker 1: out of it. Yeah, Yeah, it's interesting.
- 7:18Speaker 3: It's definitely a really interesting one, isn't it, Especially like
- 7:21Speaker 3: the passing on the information. It's like you could see,
- 7:24Speaker 3: like if you assume the best, you could see how
- 7:26Speaker 3: somebody might want to do that from a place of
- 7:28Speaker 3: like warning you. Yes, But also it's really a discernment thing,
- 7:32Speaker 3: like access discernment in those moments of like, Okay, she's
- 7:35Speaker 3: showing this person going to help their mental health?
- 7:38Speaker 2: Is it going to benefit them anyway?
- 7:39Speaker 1: You?
- 7:39Speaker 2: Like what you said is it going to be a
- 7:41Speaker 2: positive thing for them.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Absolutely not.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Sometimes ignorance is bliss when it comes to things. Sure,
- 7:46Speaker 3: especially with the Internet, like people do and say very
- 7:49Speaker 3: unhinged things and very.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Unhinged place you know, So it's.
- 7:53Speaker 3: Like it's going to happen. It's like, do you need
- 7:56Speaker 3: to be receiving it?
- 7:57Speaker 1: No?
- 7:57Speaker 3: Do people also need to be passing on that information? No,
- 8:00Speaker 3: because they're also engaging it in their.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Own life too.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Yeah, actgetically they're.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Being a parti it.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Yeah, they're actually choosing to contribute to the drama that's
- 8:08Speaker 3: happening by involving themselves in.
- 8:10Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with them. The hairstyle and
- 8:13Speaker 1: I was like, I don't know why you're sending me this.
- 8:15Speaker 1: And then the girl that sent the hospital stuff, she
- 8:16Speaker 1: was genuinely concerned. She wants to take it further. Yeah,
- 8:19Speaker 1: she's like, if you're not going to take this further,
- 8:20Speaker 1: I am Because she had a mum in hospital at
- 8:22Speaker 1: that point in time. She was like, I'd fucking be
- 8:24Speaker 1: so upset if the nurses were one laughing about you
- 8:27Speaker 1: when you're in a hontable position, but two like then
- 8:29Speaker 1: allowed to share your information. So she's like, if you're
- 8:31Speaker 1: not going to take this further if you don't mind,
- 8:33Speaker 1: I will. I was like, well, that's really lovely. She
- 8:36Speaker 1: was coming from a good place, but I just wanted
- 8:38Speaker 1: to share that in case you are in a gossip
- 8:40Speaker 1: forum and maybe you're you're like, oh shit, why am
- 8:43Speaker 1: I in there? Like, I get it's interesting, Yeah, it's gossipy.
- 8:45Speaker 1: It's like watching a TV show or I don't know,
- 8:48Speaker 1: maybe you're a bit lonely or bored or I don't know.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You're interested in someone's life, so you're trying to find
- 8:52Speaker 1: out different pieces. I'm trying to understand it, but I
- 8:55Speaker 1: still just can't relate. It's not something I would ever
- 8:57Speaker 1: want to be a part of.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Yeah, So it's these kind of behaviors that we get
- 9:01Speaker 3: to look at, especially if like anybody who is in
- 9:03Speaker 3: a gossip page. But it's also on the other hand,
- 9:06Speaker 3: going oh, I want to find my people, and I
- 9:08Speaker 3: want to put myself in better environments, and I want
- 9:10Speaker 3: to be surrounded by better people who are focusing on
- 9:13Speaker 3: growth and not talking about people. It's we get to
- 9:15Speaker 3: look at ourselves of being like, Okay, why am I
- 9:17Speaker 3: in this gossip page? If what I'm trying to say,
- 9:20Speaker 3: and trying to create for myself is the complete opposite,
- 9:23Speaker 3: because you'd very rarely, almost ever find the people that
- 9:26Speaker 3: you're actually.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Looking for in places like that.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Oh gosh, no, not in that low vibration.
- 9:30Speaker 2: No, not at all.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Nah. If you've being really honest with yourself, you do
- 9:33Speaker 1: not want to be living in that low vibration. Yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 1: that's not the kind of people you'd want surrounded by.
- 9:38Speaker 3: It's just another way to take responsibility for what we're
- 9:41Speaker 3: doing and what we're choosing and why we're maybe where
- 9:44Speaker 3: we are in life.
- 9:45Speaker 2: It's just really cool to look at. It's curiosity.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I wanted to bring it up to
- 9:49Speaker 1: hopefully just maybe make some people take a breath and go,
- 9:52Speaker 1: oh shit, Yeah, okay, why am I in there? Why
- 9:54Speaker 1: would I send that to that person? Do I want
- 9:55Speaker 1: to be a part of that? Yeah, that's not helped
- 9:57Speaker 1: me in any way. No, thank you. Join a page
- 10:00Speaker 1: it's about uplifting women, or about growth, or about something
- 10:03Speaker 1: you're passionate about. Good time, so precious and so much
- 10:06Speaker 1: your energy. Yeah, the full energy exchange being in that
- 10:09Speaker 1: and it will drain and suck the life out of you. Yeah.
- 10:14Speaker 3: My other random thought is just because we've sparked this conversation.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Now it's brought up a conversation we're having the other
- 10:20Speaker 3: day that I just genuinely can't fathom sometimes why some
- 10:24Speaker 3: people who have fake profiles of user underscore one, two, three,
- 10:27Speaker 3: four five you.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Were blocking the other day, It's like, what are you doing?
- 10:30Speaker 1: You're like, I'm just blocking these fake profiles.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Oh I always do.
- 10:33Speaker 3: If I ever see a fake profile with no post,
- 10:36Speaker 3: no image, I would just block them immediately because I'm like,
- 10:38Speaker 3: you're obviously here for no good, and immediately I just
- 10:41Speaker 3: don't want a part of that.
- 10:43Speaker 2: It's just not worth it.
- 10:43Speaker 3: I love that boundary you have if you want to
- 10:45Speaker 3: follow me on a normal profile, follow me on.
- 10:47Speaker 2: A normal profile, normal, I know, do you know what
- 10:49Speaker 2: I mean?
- 10:50Speaker 1: Like, Or if they have a profile and it's like
- 10:52Speaker 1: this one the other day, it's like peace and puppies.
- 10:55Speaker 1: It's like, you're not peaceful.
- 10:56Speaker 3: You're literally trying to fight with me at six am
- 10:59Speaker 3: on a Saturday morning.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Literally you're not peaceful. So blocked.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I just genuinely can't understand how some would want to
- 11:05Speaker 3: spend their energy trying to misunderstand you and trying to
- 11:08Speaker 3: fight with you back and forth on a post when
- 11:10Speaker 3: you know, I just don't understand.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I don't think we ever will understand because it's not
- 11:14Speaker 1: what would ever do.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Like there's been some trolls and even like I feel
- 11:17Speaker 3: like we've responded like quite well back and been respectful
- 11:21Speaker 3: and kind and thoughtful and just like reflected back some things,
- 11:24Speaker 3: and then they just want to fight. And you can
- 11:26Speaker 3: see after like one to two to three responses that
- 11:29Speaker 3: they're there to argue with you and they're looking for
- 11:30Speaker 3: a fight, and to be honest, like it's just.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Not something I'm willing to entertain. Yeah, I'm just not.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Tiana manages our social media accounts and it's been cool,
- 11:38Speaker 1: especially the last couple of weeks when there has been
- 11:40Speaker 1: more hate just observing your responses. And then I've said
- 11:44Speaker 1: to you a couple of times when they reply back,
- 11:46Speaker 1: like are you going to respond again, You're like, I'll
- 11:47Speaker 1: do one more time than after that they've made up
- 11:49Speaker 1: their mind. I'm not going to keep fighting with someone
- 11:51Speaker 1: that is so committed to misunderstanding us. They're not here
- 11:55Speaker 1: to have a conversation. And I feel like you can
- 11:57Speaker 1: pick them quite well, but you'll always give everyone the
- 12:00Speaker 1: benefit of the doubt. So you'll always reply once yeah
- 12:02Speaker 1: and explain the situation or help them see your different side,
- 12:05Speaker 1: and sometimes they come back in their suite, other times
- 12:07Speaker 1: not Yeah, I just trust you to make the right decision.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yeah, it's cool here.
- 12:10Speaker 3: I appreciate that because it's just like you know, I'm
- 12:13Speaker 3: not here to say that no one gets to have
- 12:15Speaker 3: an opinion. I think everyone gets to have an opinion.
- 12:17Speaker 3: And I'm not mad at people for disagreeing with what
- 12:20Speaker 3: we post or something that we've shared, Like, I don't
- 12:23Speaker 3: blame them. I don't expect everyone to love what we post. However,
- 12:26Speaker 3: I do expect people who are going to come onto
- 12:28Speaker 3: our social media is to come with respect. Yes, and
- 12:30Speaker 3: if they don't have that, like I just don't have
- 12:32Speaker 3: time for it. But also even when they don't, I
- 12:35Speaker 3: can still have respect and still resk. We can still
- 12:38Speaker 3: have respect and respond in a respectful way because we
- 12:40Speaker 3: don't need to stoop to that level, like I'm never
- 12:42Speaker 3: going to be match someone in that frequency and that
- 12:44Speaker 3: energy of what they're coming at us for when we're
- 12:48Speaker 3: just doing our best to share like our magic with
- 12:50Speaker 3: the well it's.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Been for me to learn from you too. I feel
- 12:53Speaker 1: like I'm getting a lot better at my responses where
- 12:55Speaker 1: sometimes I get a bit defensive and I think it's
- 12:57Speaker 1: just been fifteen years online. I'm like why, Like I
- 13:01Speaker 1: get a bit worn down sometimes, but it's been awesome
- 13:04Speaker 1: to learn from you how to communicate away and allow
- 13:07Speaker 1: people to have their opinions, for you to still stand
- 13:09Speaker 1: up for yourself as well. But just yeah, I open
- 13:12Speaker 1: up different conversations. It's really cool. I'm enjoying them coming
- 13:16Speaker 1: in for us to be able to respond in a
- 13:17Speaker 1: way we're proud of. Yeah, and hopefully see if we
- 13:20Speaker 1: can shift their perspective on us all the topic or
- 13:23Speaker 1: whatever it is that's upset them. And then if they're not,
- 13:25Speaker 1: it's like okay to say, you don't have to be here.
- 13:28Speaker 3: So just to give you guys some context, like there
- 13:29Speaker 3: was one that we got in the DMS not that
- 13:31Speaker 3: long ago, and obviously if you guys have been listening,
- 13:34Speaker 3: and you guys know that, unfortunately Ramber has passed away
- 13:37Speaker 3: and all of that situation had happened, and essentially what
- 13:40Speaker 3: happened from then, I took over the social media and
- 13:42Speaker 3: I just let everybody know that as well, and I
- 13:44Speaker 3: posted continuously about our Valentine's Day event because it was
- 13:48Speaker 3: the week prior, and you know, we have work commitments,
- 13:50Speaker 3: we've got contracts in place for what we're doing with
- 13:52Speaker 3: the podcast.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Wing in for the event. Yeah, we can to the event.
- 13:55Speaker 2: We couldn't cancel the event.
- 13:56Speaker 3: And we got a DM and someone had said directly
- 13:59Speaker 3: to me that I was money hungry because I wasn't
- 14:02Speaker 3: making the social media go dark for a week. I
- 14:05Speaker 3: wasn't respectful, It was disrespectful for me to continue posting
- 14:08Speaker 3: what I was posting, and that it looked like I
- 14:09Speaker 3: was money hungry, and that I didn't care about what
- 14:11Speaker 3: was happening. And I just responded to this woman and
- 14:14Speaker 3: just like sent a long message and just gave her
- 14:16Speaker 3: some context and just said like, hey, I really don't
- 14:18Speaker 3: appreciate your message. Is really disrespectful, like it's really hurtful
- 14:22Speaker 3: when everyone is grieving, and then gave her some context
- 14:24Speaker 3: about what's actually happening behind closed doors, and she actually
- 14:27Speaker 3: came good, and she was like, I'm so sorry, like
- 14:29Speaker 3: I shouldn't have seen it so black and white, but
- 14:31Speaker 3: I judged something just in the split moment, and she
- 14:33Speaker 3: took responsibility for it. So beautiful, and then she was like,
- 14:36Speaker 3: I actually love.
- 14:36Speaker 2: What you guys are posting. I appreciate what you guys do.
- 14:38Speaker 3: And you know, so it's just allowing people to have
- 14:42Speaker 3: their thoughts, their opinions and whatever it is that they
- 14:44Speaker 3: want to say, and then we can respond how have
- 14:46Speaker 3: we won? And then you know, if they come around,
- 14:48Speaker 3: they come around. If not, that's also okay too, but
- 14:50Speaker 3: just not here.
- 14:51Speaker 1: It is good to give context Sometimes sometimes I feel
- 14:54Speaker 1: in two minds too, wan of thoughts, like we didn't
- 14:56Speaker 1: owe anyone an explanation, not at all. But then sometimes
- 14:59Speaker 1: it is good to give context. I remember that reply.
- 15:01Speaker 1: There's been so much come through, but I shouldn't be online.
- 15:03Speaker 1: We shouldn't be doing this and doing that throughout this
- 15:06Speaker 1: whole thing. But it's like, you guys are seeing literally
- 15:09Speaker 1: a tiny snippet of what we're posting about work. You
- 15:12Speaker 1: don't know about the twenty three other hours of the day,
- 15:14Speaker 1: what we're doing to support someone who's grieving, or support
- 15:17Speaker 1: their family, or support our friends, or support ourselves. Actually
- 15:20Speaker 1: have no idea, And I think that's a really important
- 15:22Speaker 1: thing to remember. Whoever you're following online, you're seeing two
- 15:25Speaker 1: percent of their day literally, and if they're sharing more great,
- 15:29Speaker 1: you can have more compassion for what they're trying to hold.
- 15:32Speaker 1: But it's just so easy to quickly jump to an
- 15:35Speaker 1: assumption that they're doing things wrong where they shouldn't be
- 15:37Speaker 1: doing something or showing up a certain way, but you
- 15:40Speaker 1: don't actually have context or understand what they actually have
- 15:43Speaker 1: to do. And me being online or us being online, Yes,
- 15:46Speaker 1: it's fun, but we are also in a contract. Yes,
- 15:49Speaker 1: I caught my podcasts which ducers and said I'm having
- 15:51Speaker 1: a week off, but didn't mean you could just take
- 15:53Speaker 1: a week off as well. You know, we have things
- 15:55Speaker 1: in place that we have to do in responsibilities and
- 15:58Speaker 1: bills to pay, things that need to be done.
- 16:00Speaker 3: And just because it looks a little different doesn't mean
- 16:03Speaker 3: that it's not work.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Yeah, because you go to an nine to five, it
- 16:06Speaker 1: doesn't mean our work is any less important.
- 16:09Speaker 3: We had this conversation the other day talking about how
- 16:12Speaker 3: just because people see the fun conversations that we have,
- 16:15Speaker 3: people don't recognize the amount of work that goes in
- 16:17Speaker 3: behind the behinds of what we're doing, especially with everything
- 16:20Speaker 3: that we're doing with the events, while we're doing the
- 16:22Speaker 3: social media's podcasting, all of that stuff, Like it's a
- 16:25Speaker 3: commitment it's still work at the end of the day.
- 16:28Speaker 3: It's commitments. We have responsibilities in the roles that we
- 16:31Speaker 3: both play, and it's really easy to look at what
- 16:33Speaker 3: we do and go, oh, wow, they're having so much fun.
- 16:36Speaker 3: That means that they don't have anything that's hard or
- 16:38Speaker 3: responsibility wise or commitments. It's just like, well, they're just
- 16:41Speaker 3: having a conversation and they go from the day.
- 16:43Speaker 2: It's so not like that.
- 16:44Speaker 1: And you know, or without the job that I have
- 16:46Speaker 1: and being online back to like the Megazi thing, I
- 16:49Speaker 1: wouldn't have been able to raise fifty thousand dollars. My
- 16:51Speaker 1: community got behind them. Yeah. I also wouldn't have been
- 16:54Speaker 1: able to be at Megsie's house as much as what
- 16:55Speaker 1: I was if I didn't have the job that I have.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Because I've shown up online and I've created this lifestyle,
- 17:01Speaker 1: I've been able to support megs in a way that
- 17:03Speaker 1: I have. And a lot of her friends work nine
- 17:05Speaker 1: to five and they couldn't go and be at a
- 17:07Speaker 1: house all the time.
- 17:08Speaker 2: You were there every day.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, But like, why should I be criticized for doing
- 17:11Speaker 1: that just because my job looks a little bit different. Yeah,
- 17:14Speaker 1: No matter what you do, there's going to be someone
- 17:15Speaker 1: that doesn't agree with it and someone that criticizes it
- 17:17Speaker 1: and thinks it's the wrong way. But no one can
- 17:19Speaker 1: tell you what's wrong or right, especially in grief. Everyone
- 17:22Speaker 1: grieves differently. Yeah, it's so interesting and hectic to go
- 17:26Speaker 1: through because even myself, I'm like one minute I'm okay
- 17:29Speaker 1: and the next minute I'm just not. And it's such
- 17:31Speaker 1: an emotional rollercoaster. Yeah, it's really hard to navigate and
- 17:34Speaker 1: just allow it all to be there. Yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I think an important thing to note as well is
- 17:39Speaker 3: like when you're seeing people on social media and you've
- 17:41Speaker 3: just seen someone go through something heavy, and then they're
- 17:43Speaker 3: posting something happy or they're posting something and you think
- 17:46Speaker 3: that they shouldn't be doing that. Can we just agree
- 17:49Speaker 3: and make a pact right now that we're going to
- 17:51Speaker 3: start assuming the best of people that like, no matter
- 17:54Speaker 3: what we see online, that there maybe even for you,
- 17:57Speaker 3: for example, people having something to say about you being
- 17:59Speaker 3: happy whilst grieving and doing all these things for business,
- 18:02Speaker 3: Like maybe you're just doing the best that you can.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Maybe you're trying to keep yourself afloat so that you
- 18:07Speaker 3: can hold everybody and continue to do so.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Like what you've been doing.
- 18:10Speaker 3: This whole time, Like, can we just agree to disagree
- 18:12Speaker 3: that we're going to start to assume the best and
- 18:14Speaker 3: not the worst of people, especially the people that we
- 18:16Speaker 3: say that we look up to and that we speak
- 18:19Speaker 3: highly of and all these things. But then you know,
- 18:21Speaker 3: they do something, one wrong thing, and all of a
- 18:23Speaker 3: sudden it's you know it's wrong. No it's not, but
- 18:27Speaker 3: in people's eyes, yes, she's doing a wrong thing.
- 18:29Speaker 1: You shouldn't be happy. How could you be happy? How
- 18:31Speaker 1: could you post a dancing video? You know what? That
- 18:33Speaker 1: like two minutes of dancing might have been the highlight
- 18:36Speaker 1: of my day that day. Maybe I was grieving, like
- 18:38Speaker 1: this is truth, grieving and crying and having a really
- 18:41Speaker 1: fucking tough time, and then I got to just be
- 18:44Speaker 1: silly and playful and be in that joy for a moment.
- 18:46Speaker 1: And this is something Megsi's taught me as well. It's
- 18:48Speaker 1: just to allow it all to be there. Because you're grieving.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Does that mean you can't ever be happy again? Yeah?
- 18:53Speaker 1: Does that mean you can't laugh with your kids again?
- 18:55Speaker 1: Does that mean you can't show up online and share
- 18:57Speaker 1: your story? There's no rules as to how grief is
- 19:00Speaker 1: and we need to allow Megsi and anyone listening grieving
- 19:03Speaker 1: to have their process exactly how it feels good for
- 19:06Speaker 1: them and for me. I jump amongst it all and
- 19:09Speaker 1: I allow all that to be there. I allow myself
- 19:11Speaker 1: to be happy and have fun during my work of
- 19:13Speaker 1: being with my kids and being silly or play with
- 19:15Speaker 1: my husband, that I allow myself to go to Megsi's
- 19:17Speaker 1: house and fucking cry for three hours and be there
- 19:19Speaker 1: with her and hold her and that and talk about
- 19:21Speaker 1: whatever she needs to talk about in that moment. It's
- 19:24Speaker 1: allowing all of it to be there and not demonizing
- 19:26Speaker 1: any of it. Yeah, it's turned into a rant. I
- 19:29Speaker 1: love it. Oh, I love that. What's your next one?
- 19:33Speaker 3: I just wanted to say, the difference in the opportunities
- 19:37Speaker 3: from when I was younger to the next generations of
- 19:41Speaker 3: online work is bizarre. Like when you think about this
- 19:44Speaker 3: all the time, I can't tell you the amount of
- 19:46Speaker 3: hard work and dirt that I had in my nose,
- 19:50Speaker 3: literally in my head, on my body from working in
- 19:52Speaker 3: construction for five bucking years to all of the younger
- 19:57Speaker 3: generations being able to clock in and clock out to
- 19:59Speaker 3: be social media marketers or managers, or to have online
- 20:03Speaker 3: roles and it's just unlike, I love it for them,
- 20:06Speaker 3: I really do. But we talk about the contrast of
- 20:10Speaker 3: the type of work that we had to do back
- 20:12Speaker 3: then to what people had the opportunity now, how crazy.
- 20:16Speaker 3: It's polarizing.
- 20:17Speaker 1: And then you think about the generation above us they
- 20:20Speaker 1: had to work trivial times harder, and above them it
- 20:24Speaker 1: almost gets like easier and more fun as the generations
- 20:27Speaker 1: go along.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Like, it's not to say anything's bad, because no, I
- 20:31Speaker 1: love the opportunities for gen Z. Even my job now
- 20:33Speaker 1: gets to be like that. Yes, but I think back
- 20:35Speaker 1: to what my mum had to do and how hard
- 20:37Speaker 1: she had to work for a dollar compared to what yeah,
- 20:39Speaker 1: gen Z's do now, I'm like, whoa, it is just
- 20:42Speaker 1: random thoughts. It's just random thoughts.
- 20:44Speaker 3: It's just so cool because I honestly, I just think
- 20:46Speaker 3: about like, shoveling dirt for like twelve hours.
- 20:49Speaker 1: I don't know how the fuck you did that day.
- 20:51Speaker 1: That is not from me. Oh my god, you'd have
- 20:53Speaker 1: been the sexiest girl on the side, that's for sure.
- 20:56Speaker 1: So funny. I was thinking the other day about how
- 20:59Speaker 1: when life feels really really comfortable and good and content
- 21:03Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden something comes in. It's
- 21:06Speaker 1: like I literally I feel every time I voice that
- 21:09Speaker 1: to Steve when I'm like, oh my gosh, life right now,
- 21:11Speaker 1: can it freeze? It feels so good. I'm so content,
- 21:14Speaker 1: I swear. The next day or the next week something
- 21:17Speaker 1: comes in to just throw me off, and not in
- 21:20Speaker 1: a pour me victim way. It's like I need to
- 21:22Speaker 1: learn whatever that lesson is to help me level up,
- 21:25Speaker 1: because I never want to be comfor. I always invite
- 21:28Speaker 1: and ask growth in. I love it, Yeah, always like
- 21:30Speaker 1: bring it, bring it, like I'm ready. But you know,
- 21:32Speaker 1: I always have random thoughts about that always happens. And
- 21:35Speaker 1: then because I have that thought process, I'm like, am
- 21:37Speaker 1: I manifesting it? I'm putting it out there. Yeah, But
- 21:41Speaker 1: in the moment, I'm like, no, I just said life
- 21:43Speaker 1: is really content. I'm happy in don't.
- 21:45Speaker 2: It's so funny.
- 21:46Speaker 3: It does happen like that sometimes though, because he's like, oh,
- 21:49Speaker 3: this is really good.
- 21:49Speaker 2: And then it's like boom, here's another lesson. Yeah, oh
- 21:52Speaker 2: you're feeling good. Oh boom, I think.
- 21:53Speaker 1: That traun was gone. It's back.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:57Speaker 1: True, you thought you've done the word.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Here's another situation to help you heal that wound you.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Love so much. I just always think beyond that. I
- 22:06Speaker 1: love going in deep thoughts, but beyond that too, I'm like,
- 22:09Speaker 1: I want a big life. Yeah, I have to do
- 22:11Speaker 1: big things and I have to get really uncomfortable and
- 22:13Speaker 1: I have to push myself. And if I want a
- 22:16Speaker 1: mediocre life, then all that wouldn't be happening for me.
- 22:19Speaker 3: This is happening for me, not to me, And this
- 22:21Speaker 3: is forever work right. Literally, we can do hard things. Literally,
- 22:25Speaker 3: we all can do hard things.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Love it.
- 22:27Speaker 3: This is really random, but it has to do with
- 22:29Speaker 3: going to the Billie EARI concept. I remember thinking when
- 22:32Speaker 3: the tickets went on sale, Oh do I really want
- 22:35Speaker 3: to go see her that bad? I'm not really much
- 22:37Speaker 3: of like a die hard fan for like really anyone,
- 22:39Speaker 3: So I was like, oh, I'm not really it's going
- 22:40Speaker 3: to be worth it kind of thing, and I was like,
- 22:42Speaker 3: four hundred dollars, can I justify that?
- 22:44Speaker 2: Whatever?
- 22:44Speaker 3: When I realized that it was sold out, I realized that,
- 22:47Speaker 3: like it was something that I really wanted to experience,
- 22:49Speaker 3: and I.
- 22:49Speaker 1: Knew regret not going to Taylor too.
- 22:51Speaker 3: I regret not going to Taylor, and I just remember
- 22:52Speaker 3: thinking in that moment where else does this show up
- 22:55Speaker 3: in my life? Like, where else do I try to
- 22:58Speaker 3: convince myself that I don't need something because of whatever reason,
- 23:02Speaker 3: whatever way I justify it. Instead of just going I
- 23:05Speaker 3: really want to experience this thing, how about I just
- 23:07Speaker 3: do the experience, live the experience, have the moment, go
- 23:12Speaker 3: to the place, do the holiday. You know how many
- 23:14Speaker 3: times do we potentially limit ourselves from not experiencing things
- 23:18Speaker 3: because we justify.
- 23:20Speaker 1: That we don't need it, that we don't need to
- 23:21Speaker 1: deny ourselves of it.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it was.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Just really a cool moment because I was like, me,
- 23:26Speaker 3: wanting to go to Billy is not for anybody else.
- 23:28Speaker 3: This is one of those things that was like a
- 23:30Speaker 3: Tiana wants.
- 23:30Speaker 2: To experience this.
- 23:31Speaker 3: And I was like, you know what, how about the
- 23:33Speaker 3: next time that you want to do something, you just
- 23:34Speaker 3: buy the tickets fucking from the first.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Go just do it.
- 23:38Speaker 1: I love that.
- 23:38Speaker 3: That's really cool because you grow and learn and it
- 23:41Speaker 3: was a really beautiful experience.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Like it's all about memories. What are you working so
- 23:45Speaker 1: hard for if you're not going to spend the money
- 23:47Speaker 1: on the thing or the adventure or the memory. Yeah,
- 23:49Speaker 1: keep saving when you're eating. You've got money in the bank. Cool,
- 23:52Speaker 1: what do you do with that?
- 23:53Speaker 3: The backstory on this and why I'm thinking this is
- 23:55Speaker 3: because a couple of years ago, I was really bad
- 23:58Speaker 3: with money, so like I had just a not very
- 24:00Speaker 3: healthy relationship with money and not a lot of experience
- 24:02Speaker 3: with money. So when I would get it, I would
- 24:05Speaker 3: spend it on silly stuff. And then I had a
- 24:07Speaker 3: boundary with myself and I was like, we're not going
- 24:09Speaker 3: to buy anything outside of essentials. And I realized that
- 24:12Speaker 3: I still have that mindset now of I'm not going
- 24:15Speaker 3: to buy anything outside of essentials. And I was like, fuck,
- 24:17Speaker 3: how many times have I limited myself from experiencing things
- 24:21Speaker 3: simply because I'm like, no.
- 24:22Speaker 2: No, no, don't spend, don't spend, don't spend.
- 24:25Speaker 1: You know you had that realization, I think maybe a
- 24:27Speaker 1: couple of weeks ago when you're like, oh, you've got
- 24:29Speaker 1: so many nice dresses and like, I love shopping. Yeah,
- 24:31Speaker 1: it's hobby. I really enjoyed. You're like, fuck, I really
- 24:33Speaker 1: deny myself of buying new clothes. Yeah, I've still got
- 24:36Speaker 1: this mentality that I'm not allowed to spend. Yeah, it's like, good,
- 24:39Speaker 1: buy that dress, Go treat yourself.
- 24:41Speaker 3: Oh and you know what, it was really productive at
- 24:42Speaker 3: the time, Like it was, Yeah, it was what I
- 24:45Speaker 3: needed at the time, But I realized now that my
- 24:47Speaker 3: life has changed and as my life has evolved, I'm like,
- 24:50Speaker 3: I don't necessarily need to keep doing those things, Like
- 24:52Speaker 3: I'm allowed to have moments where I give myself those things.
- 24:55Speaker 2: And it's just a really.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Beautiful lesson as well to just for anyone listening that
- 24:59Speaker 3: you get to invest in yourself. Yes, no matter what
- 25:02Speaker 3: that may be, whether it's an experience, whether it it's
- 25:05Speaker 3: the beautiful dress, whether it's a new lip liner, where
- 25:08Speaker 3: it's something that's ten dollars a fucking coffee every morning,
- 25:10Speaker 3: like whatever it is that is your thing, just know
- 25:14Speaker 3: that you're allowed.
- 25:14Speaker 1: To have that and you don't have to carry any
- 25:16Speaker 1: shame for it.
- 25:17Speaker 3: And investing in yourself in this way is only going
- 25:19Speaker 3: to bring you a better quality of life anyway, and
- 25:22Speaker 3: that's what we're all after, is a better quality of life.
- 25:25Speaker 2: I love that, that's mine. That's what I've got for today.
- 25:28Speaker 1: So beautiful that anyways, they were just some random thoughts
- 25:31Speaker 1: we thought would pop in. Let us stuff you guys
- 25:33Speaker 1: like this style of episode because we have lots of
- 25:36Speaker 1: conversations about random shit like this all the time, and
- 25:39Speaker 1: it's cool to bring it in because when you talk
- 25:41Speaker 1: about something, I normally learned something as well, or I
- 25:43Speaker 1: it makes me inquire about myself too, so I think
- 25:46Speaker 1: it's really empowering and vice versa. I love it. Thanks guys,
- 25:49Speaker 1: we'll see you in the next episode.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Bye bye,
