- 1:06SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: I'm so excited, guys.
- 1:08SPEAKER_02: I have one of my most favorite people here.
- 1:10SPEAKER_02: And I talk about this a lot.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: Is that one of the best parts of me starting the loop away is I've gotten to link arms with amazing women.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: And our story, you guys, is woo-woo.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Like I really think it's woo.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: So, anyway, no further ado.
- 1:21SPEAKER_02: I have Lisa Odenweller here from Chroma Wellness, and we are gonna talk all the things, all the things health and wellness, like two girlies sitting on the couch, and you're gonna need a lot of this episode.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: All right, welcome to my woo living room.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: We did it.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: Finally, finally we're here.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: All right, I want to tell it on our story because I do feel like it's a good one.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: It's a good one.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:43SPEAKER_02: And I think my community knows I'm I got a little woo-woo in me, and that's okay.
- 1:47SPEAKER_02: And I feel like it's it's guiding me.
- 1:49SPEAKER_02: A lot of things.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're very, you're very similar.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: So we're gonna rewind, guys.
- 1:53SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't know, it feels probably a life ago for you.
- 1:56SPEAKER_02: It feels like a life ago for me.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: But I invested with a private equity group that was doing a lot of health and wellness stuff.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: And um they had invested in a company or they purchased a company called Beaming.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: And they'd asked me to sit on their board because I had worked at restaurants before, I was a health coach, and so and you know, for me, it was a time of my life where it got me out of Hawaii.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: It got me to California once a month.
- 2:22SPEAKER_02: I was really excited about it.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: And I'd gone through my phone, Lisa, and I had found a photo of me on Montana Avenue holding a beaming juice.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: So at the time I thought, oh my God, this is all meant to be.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: Look at this picture of me holding a juice three years ago.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: Now I'm asked to sit on this board, and I have a reason to get off Hawaii.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: I was feeling like I needed a purpose.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: I was feeling very lost.
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: And so it was, I just felt like this was this amazing experience.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: Then I start trying your food.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Well, yours.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: Now I've already tried this.
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: It was mine.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: I gave it, I gave the hands away.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: Long story short, Lisa owned beaming.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: And the best food to this day, health food I have ever eaten.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: I mean, it was good.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: It it was really good.
- 3:07SPEAKER_02: It was so good.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: And I know I don't know how much you want to get into that story, but that's a good one.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think it's a good one.
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: Maybe why don't we start there and then I'll I'll I'll wind this back of kind of my current day with you and I, and really, because I never even met you.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: Well, and I think what the part that's the woo-woo, right, is that I had exited at that point and I was no longer with the company when you came in.
- 3:28SPEAKER_04: So we you and I missed each other completely.
- 3:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah, which is like obviously the minute we met, we were besties.
- 3:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:33SPEAKER_04: I was like, how did we not get to do that together?
- 3:36SPEAKER_04: And I think backing up more, I mean, I I launched the first beaming cafe in December 2021 after introducing the first superfood culinary food cleanse in San Diego, be in like nine, I guess 20 um 2010.
- 3:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:54SPEAKER_04: 2010.
- 3:55SPEAKER_04: 2019, uh, 2009.
- 3:56SPEAKER_04: And it was the first time it was when everyone was doing juice cleansing.
- 3:59SPEAKER_04: And I was like, this is crazy.
- 4:00SPEAKER_04: Why is everybody drinking 220 grams of sugar a day, no fat, no fiber, no protein, just to fit in our skinny genes over the weekend?
- 4:07SPEAKER_04: Like, what if we feed ourselves and we nourish ourselves, which is everything that I stand for with beaming and I mean, by the way, if you guys did see her Madonna arms, you would die.
- 4:15SPEAKER_04: Well, right back at you.
- 4:16SPEAKER_04: So, um, but I think like for me, it's always been about nourishment.
- 4:19SPEAKER_04: So I completely changed the cleansing game, introduced this beaming cleanse, becomes this cult followed thing.
- 4:26SPEAKER_04: People became obsessed because they were eating food and losing weight, which is exactly what I we did with Chroma.
- 4:32SPEAKER_04: But this idea that I could eat, I could, I didn't have to starve myself.
- 4:36SPEAKER_04: I didn't have to feel deprived to look and feel good, which has always been my underlying mission and premise.
- 4:42SPEAKER_04: That became so successful in San Diego that it allowed me to open the first cafe in Del Mar, California, 2021 or 2020.
- 4:52SPEAKER_04: That became the most successful concept in the country, it like almost overnight.
- 4:55SPEAKER_04: And it was overnight, but not really, because there's a lot that had gone into that.
- 4:59SPEAKER_04: And I had never worked in a restaurant.
- 5:01SPEAKER_04: I had never Were you a chef?
- 5:03SPEAKER_04: I wasn't a chef.
- 5:04SPEAKER_04: I had not done business school.
- 5:05SPEAKER_04: I had I raised money for this.
- 5:07SPEAKER_04: I put a business plan together.
- 5:08SPEAKER_04: I had, I was going through divorce, I didn't have a dollar to my name.
- 5:11SPEAKER_04: Like all important context for sort of like this was the ultimate like you have a dream, you have a why that's bigger than you, and I had to bring it to life.
- 5:21SPEAKER_04: I didn't know how, but somehow I figured it out.
- 5:24SPEAKER_04: And the first cafe was wildly successful.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: I raised more money, ended up with 10 locations, and most of which were in LA.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: That's hard to do.
- 5:34SPEAKER_04: It was really hard to do, but it was also so exciting.
- 5:37SPEAKER_04: I mean, it brought me to LA, right?
- 5:38SPEAKER_04: I was like living in San Diego because my kids were there, but I got to build this life in LA.
- 5:43SPEAKER_04: And next thing you know, we opened three cafes in LA in a year, which was nuts.
- 5:48SPEAKER_04: I don't recommend it.
- 5:49SPEAKER_04: Um, and so, but I fully immersed myself into LA to build that brand.
- 5:52SPEAKER_04: I loved it so much.
- 5:53SPEAKER_04: It was like I had another child with beaming.
- 5:56SPEAKER_04: It was an extension of me.
- 5:57SPEAKER_04: It was an extension of my passion and my belief in food and food is medicine, but in a way that was sexy and cool and hip, and the food was so elevated.
- 6:06SPEAKER_04: It was so good.
- 6:06SPEAKER_04: And to this day, like I've never found anything like it.
- 6:09SPEAKER_04: No.
- 6:09SPEAKER_04: It's really like I'm very proud of what I did.
- 6:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:12SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 6:13SPEAKER_04: And I would say that I'm I'm chef inspired, right?
- 6:17SPEAKER_04: I'm very savvy in the kitchen and inspired in the kitchen, but I worked with chefs.
- 6:22SPEAKER_04: And so me and and a bunch of different really great chefs would just collaborate and come up with these incredible concoctions.
- 6:28SPEAKER_04: And I think we nailed it.
- 6:29SPEAKER_04: Like I think we still to this day have never had smoothies better than ours.
- 6:32SPEAKER_04: Or the cookie, the gluten-free cookie that people are obsessed with, and all the things.
- 6:37SPEAKER_04: And I think, you know, it was a beautiful story in having all the fear, not knowing how to do something and doing it anyway.
- 6:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:45SPEAKER_04: And I had all the odds against me.
- 6:46SPEAKER_04: I got divorced with$100,000 to my name and no support.
- 6:50SPEAKER_04: So I had nothing behind me and three little kids.
- 6:54SPEAKER_04: And I had employees living in my home.
- 6:56SPEAKER_04: Like it was like the really the diary of a startup.
- 6:59SPEAKER_04: And so to bring it to 10 locations, to bring it to like this really successful brand that all the celebrities came to, it was changing lives.
- 7:08SPEAKER_04: People still stop me to this day.
- 7:11SPEAKER_04: It was before it's time.
- 7:12SPEAKER_04: Erawan wasn't Erawan.
- 7:14SPEAKER_04: Like Erawan was a weird, hippy-dippy place, one location, nobody went.
- 7:20SPEAKER_04: And this was way ahead of its time.
- 7:22SPEAKER_04: And so I think what I pulled off was amazing.
- 7:25SPEAKER_04: And then, of course, I made all the entrepreneurial mistakes and didn't protect myself and had a board that didn't understand me and all the things that you do.
- 7:32SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:33SPEAKER_04: Um, best teacher of my life, um, brought me to my knees.
- 7:36SPEAKER_04: Um, and at that time was when I exited because things just got not fun for me.
- 7:42SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 7:42SPEAKER_04: And I really for emotionally, it was like, here's this company called Beaming, but nothing about me was beaming.
- 7:48SPEAKER_04: It had just, it was killing me.
- 7:50SPEAKER_04: And so I had to step away and I had to go heal.
- 7:53SPEAKER_04: And that was the time when people came in and bought it.
- 7:57SPEAKER_04: And and then you were part of that, having no idea like who this woman was behind this whole thing.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: And the craziest thing with you guys is that I remember where I was listening to you on the Skinny Confidential.
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: I was in Beverly Hills on a walk.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:11SPEAKER_02: And I heard the story for the first time.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: And I go, Oh, because you're on there talking about chroma.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: But then you're talking about beaming.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I had no idea the story behind the story.
- 8:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: And so I my like my jaw was on the ground with that.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: And I was like, wow.
- 8:26SPEAKER_02: So that was like when actually there was a face and a person, my first like inkling of kind of who you were.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: So now fast forward, you guys, and I start loop and I start meeting some amazing women, and I have, you know, someone's like, oh my God, you need to meet this woman, Lisa, behind Chroma.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: And I had done your cleanse after I listened to the podcast to go, oh, I know exactly who she is.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: And by the way, she's gonna die when I tell her what we have in common.
- 8:48SPEAKER_02: So that was one person, and then I meet somebody else.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: You've got to meet Lisa.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: And all of a sudden, that was happening with both of us.
- 8:54SPEAKER_04: Like we both are like, You got to meet Stephanie, you gotta meet Stephanie.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: And it's like as soon as we met each other, we were like, I'm more in New York.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: They go to New York for a conference, we meet, and we hang out every night, and then we're talking, then we're just like, we're gonna do big things together.
- 9:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but the funniest thing is you guys, so I'm on the phone with you, or we're texting or something, and I said, Oh my god, we have something in common that you're gonna die for.
- 9:12SPEAKER_02: And Lisa goes, Did we date the same man?
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: I went for just like the obvious.
- 9:19SPEAKER_04: I did not expect you to come back that you had were part of sort of that next um ownership of beaming.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: And I felt like because I'd heard your story, I felt like I had to give a little disclaimer of being like, Oh no, no, no, I had nothing to do with any of this stuff.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: I just came in, sat on the board, loved the food, and like you know, the board lasted like six months, and you know, you we all know what happened with the whole situation.
- 9:39SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I definitely think that we're destined to meet.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: And it was just a matter of time.
- 9:45SPEAKER_02: It's so cool.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: And now we're doing like fun things together, and my God, I mean, there's so much to talk about.
- 9:51SPEAKER_02: It's also really fun when you meet somebody who's has the spirituality and has the woo-woo and has gone through hard things, you know, has gone through divorce, has kids.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: You're very open.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: I'm a very open person, you know, and I meet, and I think sometimes being open is wonderful, and sometimes it kicks you in the ass, right?
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: When you kind of start to learn about boundaries and you can't trust everybody.
- 10:13SPEAKER_02: And so it's been really fun.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: I love our morning walks and talks.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: And even if we're on just we're not together, but we're actually on our we do a lot of that.
- 10:21SPEAKER_02: That's mostly fun.
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: We do a lot of that, and I think it's been really fun for me just to learn about you as an entrepreneur, and you know, you've done so many amazing.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: I feel like you're like my big sister in this sense.
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: Like you've done so many wonderful companies and brands and learned, and I'm still like I still am learning so much.
- 10:37SPEAKER_04: Well, you're killing it.
- 10:38SPEAKER_04: And I think that that's what the whole point is is it's like you believe so much into something and your passion drives you.
- 10:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:46SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 10:46SPEAKER_04: And I think in some ways, I reflect back to beaming, and there was a naivety there that I I miss.
- 10:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 10:51SPEAKER_04: Like I loved that because anything was possible.
- 10:54SPEAKER_04: And I and I think that's a really powerful place to create from, whereas we get more knowledgeable and we understand that you can't trust everything.
- 11:04SPEAKER_04: And what have I done?
- 11:05SPEAKER_04: No, I'm it's like it's not for the faint of heart.
- 11:07SPEAKER_04: And your why has to be so big.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 11:10SPEAKER_04: Or um, and your ability to pick yourself up when things go down.
- 11:14SPEAKER_04: And God knows, just in the short time I've met you and and known you, there's been so many curveballs, and and vice versa.
- 11:22SPEAKER_04: Um, what it takes to keep going forward, because it's what do you think what would you say?
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: Because you can't you've had to do it a few times.
- 11:30SPEAKER_02: What would you say are your biggest uh motivators?
- 11:34SPEAKER_02: Like, because you're even in it now.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: I mean, we're all you're pivot we pivot as entrepreneurs.
- 11:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 11:38SPEAKER_02: So what do you what are the tools that you lean on or you use?
- 11:42SPEAKER_04: I think I go back, in fact, it was interesting.
- 11:44SPEAKER_04: I was working with my coach today, and she reflected something back to me that was really about my why.
- 11:52unknown: Yeah.
- 11:53SPEAKER_04: And sometimes I get disconnected from it because you get so in the business that you're in the business.
- 11:59SPEAKER_04: And that's when you're just doing.
- 12:01SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 12:02SPEAKER_04: And obviously.
- 12:03SPEAKER_04: There's grinding, there's doing, there's all that.
- 12:05SPEAKER_04: And and that's necessary to get things done, but it also disconnects me from that passion and that wisdom and that that um that why, right?
- 12:16SPEAKER_04: Which is what uh gives you the strength to overcome um all of it, honestly.
- 12:22SPEAKER_04: Because even the good stuff still took a lot to get there, right?
- 12:25SPEAKER_04: Even things that we celebrate are like, wow.
- 12:26SPEAKER_04: And when you're there, you you don't even know you're there.
- 12:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 12:29SPEAKER_04: So um, so I think, you know, one of the she reflected back to me something that it was about really like my purpose around empowering women and helping women take control of their health and understanding how much power we have over our health and we take it for granted.
- 12:44SPEAKER_04: And also within that is that when we make ourselves a priority, which is so hard as women, we're not programmed that way.
- 12:52SPEAKER_04: We're so used to taking care of everyone else, our kids, our partners, our work, anything else but us, and we usually are the last one.
- 13:00SPEAKER_04: And I think for me, I'm trying to turn that on its head because we actually can't take care of everything else if we're not taking care of ourselves.
- 13:06SPEAKER_04: Absolutely.
- 13:07SPEAKER_04: And we know this is oxygen mask first.
- 13:09SPEAKER_04: But women were not.
- 13:10SPEAKER_04: In theory, but do we practice it?
- 13:12SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 13:12SPEAKER_04: Then we're selfish.
- 13:13SPEAKER_04: And I think remembering that, like when we nourish ourselves, when we take care of ourselves, and I don't mean just food, I mean girlfriend time.
- 13:21SPEAKER_04: I mean taking walks, taking a bath, having a glass of wine, yeah, um, enjoying life, dancing, like whatever it is for you, you have to make you a priority.
- 13:31SPEAKER_04: And when you do, we know it, we feel it, we show up differently in life.
- 13:35SPEAKER_04: When we're alive, we're vibrating, we're beaming, which is really where the whole essence of the word came from.
- 13:40SPEAKER_04: And so she was reflecting that back to me today.
- 13:43SPEAKER_04: And I started to cry and I said, Thank you.
- 13:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because like I'm so in it that I needed to hear and have reflected back to me why I'm here and why I'm working so hard to do what I do.
- 13:56SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:57SPEAKER_04: And I think for me, that's what keeps me going.
- 14:00SPEAKER_04: Because if it's just about an exit or making money or something, that's I yes, I want those things, but it's it's not big enough.
- 14:08SPEAKER_04: No.
- 14:08SPEAKER_04: Because, and I think that a lot of women are driven this way.
- 14:10SPEAKER_04: It's like, yes, we want, we want the big win, but we really want to make a difference.
- 14:15SPEAKER_04: And we want to make a pass.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: At what cost, right?
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: I think at what cost.
- 14:18SPEAKER_02: I think what's interesting now is you're you're seeing a lot of female entrepreneurs talking about like the hustle culture and just like how do you still have it all but have it with grace?
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: Like you said, still make the time for a glass of wine.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: Like, why are we in such a rush?
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: You know, we and I ask myself this sometimes.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: I'm like, it's not that deep, Stephanie.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: You know, at the end of the day.
- 14:36SPEAKER_04: Well, you and I talk about this, and I because I watch the pace, yeah, right.
- 14:40SPEAKER_04: And and I do a check-in with myself too.
- 14:43SPEAKER_04: And because we can take on more and more and more, and at what cost?
- 14:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 14:49SPEAKER_04: And so it's something that I've actually become more um better at than no.
- 14:54SPEAKER_04: Um and I still feel like I'm like on the treadmill, but I watch the pace of like the content and the this, and you're here and you're there and you're everywhere.
- 15:02SPEAKER_04: And it's like, how do we do that in a way that isn't at our sacrifice?
- 15:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: And it's a constant um because like you said, if it's sacrificing you, imagine the children, imagine the community, imagine the employee.
- 15:16SPEAKER_04: I mean, it's just like I mean, and I like right now, full like I'm exhausted.
- 15:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:21SPEAKER_04: And I was just talking to my boyfriend, I said, I think I need at least a week off.
- 15:25SPEAKER_04: Like, can you imagine?
- 15:26SPEAKER_04: And he and I were talking in the last six months, we could think of two days where we didn't work and that we just played.
- 15:35SPEAKER_04: And and I was like, two days in the last six months.
- 15:38SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 15:39SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 15:40SPEAKER_04: And so that's not that's not something to celebrate.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: What's interesting you said that because I was home this weekend, and on Saturday, I went to my workout group.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: I love, I went to two farmers markets, I put orchids back in my house, I went in a walk with a girlfriend, I booked myself a massage, I took a bath, I took a sauna, and then my girlfriend took me into an early, a belated birthday dinner at like five.
- 16:04SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: And I got into bed that that night and I was talking to JP, and I said to him, I said, I need one day a week like this, minimum.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: That's just about nurturing my soul and like what I needed, and like some of that is routine and health.
- 16:20SPEAKER_02: And I want to actually talk about health because you and I we can look on the outside really healthy, right?
- 16:26SPEAKER_02: I think there's people who would look at you and never know what journey you've been through recently.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: And if you don't mind sharing it, I think it's really inspirational and I think it's also really important.
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: It's a lot of the message that I talk about in terms of looking under the hood and how you heal.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: Would you mind just sharing it a little bit?
- 16:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, absolutely.
- 16:43SPEAKER_04: So I think it goes back to sort of like empowering women with their health and being the CEO of your health and taking control of it.
- 16:50SPEAKER_04: And I think um underneath all of that is sort of the questioning everything.
- 16:56SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 16:57SPEAKER_04: And no matter, you know, people look at me like you said.
- 17:01SPEAKER_04: So I move my body pretty much every day, right?
- 17:04SPEAKER_04: And I do things that I love, whether it's hiking, whether it's hit dancing, hit workout tennis, whatever it is, I'll move my body because that feeds my soul.
- 17:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 17:12SPEAKER_04: Um, it's it's more that even than just the physical benefits, but I know also how good it is for me.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: I eat well, I don't eat perfectly.
- 17:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I love food, but I incorporate chroma, like it's a big part of my life.
- 17:23SPEAKER_04: I'm very thoughtful and mindful, but I enjoy life fully, right?
- 17:27SPEAKER_04: You and I enjoy tequila, like it's not about perfection.
- 17:31SPEAKER_04: Even with that, I have, I think we still need to be questioning.
- 17:37SPEAKER_04: So, for example, I'm 55.
- 17:39SPEAKER_04: I haven't been able to take HRT.
- 17:41SPEAKER_04: Every time I take HRT, it I blow up like a balloon.
- 17:46SPEAKER_04: I it completely screws everything up.
- 17:48SPEAKER_04: If you look at my labs, it shows that I need the HRT, but it wasn't working.
- 17:52SPEAKER_04: Simultaneously, I've had gut issues for 20 years.
- 17:55SPEAKER_04: Now, I know they always say I don't all hot girls have gut issues.
- 17:59SPEAKER_04: That's the thing, right?
- 18:00SPEAKER_04: And I think that the truth is all people have gut issues.
- 18:03SPEAKER_04: Especially America.
- 18:04SPEAKER_04: Especially America, I do think women are more susceptible.
- 18:06SPEAKER_04: And my theory is because we take on so much and we are carrying the burden of our children and our lives and our minds going a million miles per hour, thinking about things that that goes that that is the gut, and it makes it incredibly vulnerable.
- 18:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 18:23SPEAKER_04: That's a theory.
- 18:24SPEAKER_04: That's not doctor-approved.
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: If you think about it though, it's like the brain-gut connection we always talk about.
- 18:27SPEAKER_02: So it makes actually complete sense.
- 18:29SPEAKER_04: It it does, and I and I'll still stand by it.
- 18:31SPEAKER_04: I think, um, and I've gone to doctor after doctor, and I was having all of these symptoms over the years, it just kept getting progressively worse.
- 18:40SPEAKER_04: And no doctor could figure it out.
- 18:41SPEAKER_04: I went to specialist, I had my hair was breaking off.
- 18:44SPEAKER_04: Um, my ferritin, the iron and ferritin go hand in hand.
- 18:48SPEAKER_04: If your iron's high, usually ferritin's high.
- 18:49SPEAKER_04: My iron was high, my ferritin was low.
- 18:51SPEAKER_04: Ferritin's necessary for hair and lots of other reasonings, but I went to specialists on that.
- 18:57SPEAKER_04: They're like, well, that's just a weird phenomenon.
- 18:59SPEAKER_04: It's not a weird phenomenon.
- 19:01SPEAKER_04: Your body's speaking to you.
- 19:02SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 19:02SPEAKER_04: It's trying to tell us something.
- 19:04SPEAKER_04: I went to gut specialists, I went to functional doctors, I went to naturopaths, I went to everyone.
- 19:09SPEAKER_04: I had stool tests done.
- 19:11SPEAKER_04: All of that came back as something's going on.
- 19:14SPEAKER_04: Let's just give you an antibiotic.
- 19:16SPEAKER_04: And so we did that.
- 19:18SPEAKER_04: And for a week or two, I felt better.
- 19:20SPEAKER_04: And I hate antibiotics, by the way, but there's a necessary means at some point.
- 19:25SPEAKER_04: Um why couldn't I take HRT?
- 19:28SPEAKER_04: We don't know.
- 19:29SPEAKER_04: But as I dug into all of it, and this is just an interesting theory and something I want everyone, not anybody but a theory, something that I I would encourage everyone to do.
- 19:37SPEAKER_04: As you're taking control of your health, take all of your labs and put them in AI.
- 19:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:42SPEAKER_04: And put them into Claude, is my preference.
- 19:44SPEAKER_04: And you will be amazed what Claude will come back with.
- 19:47SPEAKER_04: And I'm not suggesting that you replace doctors with Claude, but I am suggesting that you will really be empowered when you have a real-time database looking at your your whether it's your blood test, your hormone test, your thyroid test.
- 20:04SPEAKER_04: Your nutrient tests.
- 20:05SPEAKER_04: If you're going to function health, take all those, put those in.
- 20:07SPEAKER_04: I mean, it's put your stool test in there, put it all in there, and it's real-time data.
- 20:12SPEAKER_04: And I get blood tests done, especially at my age with hormones changing, every three to six months.
- 20:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 20:17SPEAKER_04: I upload those.
- 20:18SPEAKER_04: It's comparing this one to this one to that one.
- 20:21SPEAKER_04: It's giving real-time data.
- 20:22SPEAKER_04: Then I also tell it how I'm feeling.
- 20:24SPEAKER_04: I'm constipated today.
- 20:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 20:26SPEAKER_04: I'm weepy.
- 20:27SPEAKER_04: I'm exhausted.
- 20:28SPEAKER_04: I didn't get my period.
- 20:30SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 20:30SPEAKER_04: I'm I'm more inflamed today.
- 20:32SPEAKER_04: I'll tell it what my poop is like.
- 20:34SPEAKER_04: Like I tell it everything.
- 20:36SPEAKER_04: Because of that, Claude is the one that helped me understand that I had a massive parasite infection.
- 20:42SPEAKER_04: Massive.
- 20:43SPEAKER_04: And no one else can figure that out.
- 20:44SPEAKER_04: No one else got that.
- 20:46SPEAKER_04: No.
- 20:46SPEAKER_04: And also that my enzymes were completely depleted.
- 20:50SPEAKER_04: So I was not absorbing protein.
- 20:52SPEAKER_04: I wasn't absorbing the necessary nutrients.
- 20:55SPEAKER_04: That's why my hair is still breaking off, still we're healing all of this.
- 20:58SPEAKER_04: This has been going on for years.
- 21:00SPEAKER_04: I haven't had my hair cut in 12 years.
- 21:03SPEAKER_04: Nobody, no doctors flagged it.
- 21:05SPEAKER_04: How long do they think that you have this whole parasite infection?
- 21:08SPEAKER_04: 15, 20 years.
- 21:09SPEAKER_04: Shut up.
- 21:10SPEAKER_04: They've been having a party.
- 21:11SPEAKER_04: I I can barely talk about it because it was so foul.
- 21:14SPEAKER_04: And I can and I can't.
- 21:16SPEAKER_04: But it's it is um, I think this is everyone has parasite issues to some extent.
- 21:20SPEAKER_04: It's in our food, it's in our water, it's in our spinach, it's in our air, it, you know, whatever.
- 21:25SPEAKER_04: It's in our pets, right?
- 21:26SPEAKER_04: So, but it's how vulnerable our gut is to create sort of a breeding ground.
- 21:33SPEAKER_04: I am still going through it.
- 21:34SPEAKER_04: I am on, I'm about to start my second round of ivermectin.
- 21:37SPEAKER_04: I've been on multiple rounds of antibiotics.
- 21:39SPEAKER_04: But what the important thing is, I actually feel like I finally have help.
- 21:43unknown: Yeah.
- 21:43SPEAKER_04: It gave me a protocol that I could trust and that I could follow and say, that makes sense to me.
- 21:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 21:48SPEAKER_04: Because it wasn't a one and done, which was all the other doctors were doing, because that's not how parasites and gut issues are.
- 21:54SPEAKER_04: You have to continue to do this.
- 21:56SPEAKER_04: And the reason why I'm zeroing in on the gut health thing is because your gut is.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: The center of your health.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: And we we we talk about this sort of casually.
- 22:03SPEAKER_04: And we think if we take a probiotic, yeah, that solves for it.
- 22:06SPEAKER_04: It's more complex than that.
- 22:08SPEAKER_04: And so if your gut environment is not optimized and there are things going on, which I encourage everyone to do some sort of parasite cleanse twice a year.
- 22:17SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 22:17SPEAKER_04: Hopefully you don't have to go through what I've gone through because if you do that and it's preventive, preventative, you should be fine.
- 22:23SPEAKER_04: But you will save yourself all the issues that I have been dealing with that have prevented me from using peptides, which I now can again, from now using HRT because I now can, but no doctor identified that that was the issue.
- 22:38SPEAKER_04: They didn't even mention it.
- 22:39SPEAKER_04: And think about how many women you talk to, you're like, oh, I'm so bloated.
- 22:42SPEAKER_04: Or I have SIBO.
- 22:43SPEAKER_04: Oh.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: I mean, everybody has SIBO.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: I know client, amount of clients that come to you with SIBO.
- 22:47SPEAKER_02: I'm like, are you kidding me?
- 22:48SPEAKER_02: Okay, rewind for a second because now I'm curious.
- 22:50SPEAKER_02: Like, I my daughter um had a parasite and we had to kind of work through that.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: So if I was to do a parasite cleanse twice a year, maybe have my daughters do it too, what does that look like?
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: Um, which part?
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: Like what comes out of you, or what you go.
- 23:02SPEAKER_02: No, I don't want to know what comes out of me, but I do want to know what what do you what what do you what is?
- 23:09SPEAKER_04: I think it's um depending on there's so many like out of you know out of the box kind of solutions for parasites.
- 23:16SPEAKER_04: Um it I I I can't give you, I I ended up putting a very, very comprehensive protocol together with Claude that was five pages long.
- 23:25SPEAKER_04: And it became almost a full-time job with all the different things that I'm continuing to do.
- 23:29SPEAKER_04: And the reason why it's so important, this is what I want to zero in on, yeah, is that with parasites, they continue to breed.
- 23:35SPEAKER_04: And so that's why you have to, um, depending on how significant the issue is, you it's not just they, they're not just dead.
- 23:42SPEAKER_04: Like there's they're they hide behind biofilm, they hide behind layers of things to protect themselves.
- 23:48SPEAKER_04: It's why stool tests don't identify them.
- 23:50SPEAKER_04: And this is a really important thing, and I know we're going all in on this, but because of what I've learned, I want others to sort of anyone dealing with any kind of if you're bloated, like significantly, if you're gassy often, if uh I my stomach was like six months pregnant.
- 24:04SPEAKER_04: I was inflamed all the time.
- 24:05SPEAKER_04: You even said to me when you saw me today that I look less inflamed.
- 24:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I was so inflamed.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: I only noticed your face and your eyes are so clear.
- 24:13SPEAKER_02: I mean, you have beautiful eyes.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: Like I'm not saying they weren't, but like I've never noticed how beautiful your eyes were until today.
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 24:19SPEAKER_04: And like it wreaks habit, it makes you tired.
- 24:21SPEAKER_04: It if you're more exhausted than than normal, right?
- 24:24SPEAKER_04: If you're super constipated, if you have SIBO, SIBO usually comes from parasites.
- 24:29SPEAKER_04: Like there's a whole like trickle-down effect of like what your body's trying to tell you.
- 24:35SPEAKER_04: But the bloating, the constant bloating, the constipation, the gassiness, right?
- 24:39SPEAKER_04: The when pains when you eat, those are really like very much directed back to parasites.
- 24:46SPEAKER_04: And so again, go get the stool test done, but just understand that stool test probably won't identify anything.
- 24:53SPEAKER_04: My stool test didn't say anything except that I was missing enzymes.
- 24:57SPEAKER_04: It wasn't until I started a protocol of antimicrobials and different antibiotics where shit started coming out.
- 25:05SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 25:05SPEAKER_04: And I took those pictures and I put it in Claude, and Claude figured out what was going on, and the two of us created a protocol that I'm still working on.
- 25:12SPEAKER_04: It's my best friend doctor.
- 25:13SPEAKER_04: It is my best friend doctor.
- 25:14SPEAKER_04: I call her Dr.
- 25:15SPEAKER_04: Claud Um Claudette.
- 25:16SPEAKER_04: And I um and but I and I'm only sharing this because I just hear from so many women.
- 25:21SPEAKER_04: It's a, I mean, it's a nasty conversation, but it's something that I feel the part that I am so excited about.
- 25:28SPEAKER_04: One, to get these MFs out of me.
- 25:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 25:30SPEAKER_04: One.
- 25:31SPEAKER_04: But two, the fact that I have been probably only at about 60% capacity for many, many years.
- 25:39SPEAKER_04: Because and building an empire and doing everything you were doing.
- 25:41SPEAKER_04: Doing everything I'm doing.
- 25:42SPEAKER_04: I all of a sudden, my brain is back on.
- 25:45SPEAKER_04: My like, I feel like I have control over my body again.
- 25:48SPEAKER_04: I have my stomach back.
- 25:49SPEAKER_04: Like I'm going to the bathroom.
- 25:50SPEAKER_04: Like these are simple things, but huge things.
- 25:52SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 25:53SPEAKER_02: I remember our conversations, and you're like, Stephanie, I am beside myself.
- 25:57SPEAKER_02: Like, I am not.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: I mean, you were so sad and desperate, and it was really hard for me as a friend because I'm like trying to help you with peptides.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: I'm like, you got to figure out your hormones.
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I'm trying to throw everything that I would think of, right?
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: And finally, I remember you calling me, I figured it out.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: You can just tell.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: I remember I was at the airport.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: I think I was going to Dallas.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: And we were talking in the phone.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: You told me this story, and I'm like, I'm so happy for you.
- 26:18SPEAKER_04: Because I kept advocating for myself.
- 26:20SPEAKER_04: And that's the other message here is like your body is always talking to you.
- 26:24SPEAKER_04: Listen.
- 26:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 26:25SPEAKER_04: And the fact that we have AI now is putting literally like a doctor in your hands at all times.
- 26:32SPEAKER_04: I communicate with it every day.
- 26:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 26:34SPEAKER_04: I like this morning.
- 26:35SPEAKER_04: I woke up and because I'm we're we're not sure what's exactly going on with my hormones, I missed my first period.
- 26:40SPEAKER_04: So I'm in this perimenopause, menopause stage.
- 26:44SPEAKER_04: I have a real-time interaction, which makes me feel in control.
- 26:49SPEAKER_04: So imagine if you're just dependent on your doctor, you have to wait for the doctor.
- 26:52SPEAKER_04: You have to, I mean, but by that point, you're you're over it.
- 26:55SPEAKER_04: But it's like three weeks, and if you're lucky, I'm over it.
- 26:57SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 26:58SPEAKER_04: And they're gonna give you maybe 10, 15 minutes of your time.
- 27:01SPEAKER_04: The fact that you have, I have a running conversation, it has all of the inputs.
- 27:05SPEAKER_04: Yeah, when I go get my blood work done next week, it will compare it and we'll see where I was to the last one to last one.
- 27:11SPEAKER_04: This is brilliant.
- 27:12SPEAKER_04: Like this is such an exciting time.
- 27:14SPEAKER_04: And when we talk about it being empowered with your health, like really, really, really, this is the time.
- 27:19SPEAKER_04: And I'm not saying that you replace your doctors, but I will tell you this.
- 27:22SPEAKER_04: I tell my doctors what's going on.
- 27:24SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 27:24SPEAKER_04: And I now screenshot it and I send it to them and I'm like, here's what's going on.
- 27:28SPEAKER_04: Can you order me this?
- 27:30SPEAKER_04: And so are they open to that?
- 27:32SPEAKER_02: Are they yeah, yeah, they are.
- 27:33SPEAKER_04: They probably know too.
- 27:35SPEAKER_04: And so, but like I I I feel like I feel like I got my life back.
- 27:41unknown: Right?
- 27:42SPEAKER_04: And because when I did, I mean it's like it makes you so depressed.
- 27:45SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, I couldn't take it.
- 27:47SPEAKER_04: I didn't want to come to the podcast, I didn't want to go to your event.
- 27:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah, like I you want to hide.
- 27:52SPEAKER_04: And for any women who feel this, whether you're going through menopause and you feel like aliens have taken over your body, or you just know something's not right, you're feeling extra exhausted, you're feeling extra moody and depressed.
- 28:03SPEAKER_04: That is your body talking to you.
- 28:04SPEAKER_04: That is not because this is who you are now.
- 28:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, this is because something's not right.
- 28:08SPEAKER_04: And if you have any kind of parasite infection, those little motherfuckers will absolutely destroy your overall well-being.
- 28:18SPEAKER_04: And my brain, I couldn't remember things, like my brain is lit up again.
- 28:21SPEAKER_04: Didn't matter how much creatine or peptides I took.
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: You're like, these peptides don't work because you got a whole factory living inside of my stomach.
- 28:28SPEAKER_04: So it's just, you know, I think it's something that I really am gonna get a lot more vocal about.
- 28:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah, good.
- 28:34SPEAKER_04: Um, I hope that nobody has to go through what I went through, but I'm so glad I did because I hopefully can share my story and help others.
- 28:41SPEAKER_04: Um, I guess that's why we go through the shit, right?
- 28:44SPEAKER_03: So that we can all happen for us, right?
- 28:46SPEAKER_04: It's all happening for us.
- 28:47SPEAKER_03: This tastes so good, by the way.
- 28:49SPEAKER_03: I don't know if you're having the colostrum.
- 28:50SPEAKER_03: I mean, since when is colostrum taste good?
- 28:52SPEAKER_03: It tastes really good.
- 28:53SPEAKER_03: I've never actually had it in just water.
- 28:54SPEAKER_03: It's so good.
- 28:55SPEAKER_03: I'm obsessed with our colostrum.
- 28:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 28:56SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 28:57SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 28:58SPEAKER_04: I might put it creatine in it the other day, and I was like, that just killed it.
- 29:01SPEAKER_04: And I was like, I love the flavor of our colostrum.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: No, this I'm gonna now drink this on its own.
- 29:05SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's let's get rid of no, we're not gonna have the worms and the bugs and all the shit.
- 29:09SPEAKER_02: That that story, guys, is I mean, it's I'm gonna actually go and it's real and do a cleanse, figure out which one and how my daughters do because they all they have tummy things here and there, and one of them had a parasite, so it's not like it's like I mean, I have a lot of different tinctures and things that I take that are very non-conventional.
- 29:26SPEAKER_04: Like you can get kind of off-the-shelf stuff.
- 29:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and um, by all means, that's probably enough for most people.
- 29:31SPEAKER_04: But if the problem is system, you know, systemic and it keeps going, then um there's much more involved things.
- 29:37SPEAKER_04: Dig deeper.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: Um and I maybe after this, your next thing is gonna be a parasite cleanse.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: You never know.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: I, you know, I kind of want to forget about it.
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: But who you never say never.
- 29:46SPEAKER_02: Who knows?
- 29:47SPEAKER_02: All right, podcast listeners, we are gonna talk about supplements.
- 29:50SPEAKER_02: All right, so I rap a lot and I talk about the loop waste supplements that I formulated.
- 29:55SPEAKER_02: And I really had the idea because I'm talking all the time on how the pillars of health are so important while you're on peptides.
- 30:02SPEAKER_02: Getting enough protein, having creatine and amino acids to increase your protein levels and protect your muscles, put some water back into your muscles and protect your brain.
- 30:11SPEAKER_02: These are things I use every single day.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: So I thought if I'm telling my clients and community to go out and purchase creatine, amino acids, and a high quality protein, why wouldn't I just create one for myself?
- 30:22SPEAKER_02: And by the way, I nailed it.
- 30:24SPEAKER_02: I'm really, really proud, especially in my vanilla whey isolate.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: It was made really soaking.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: It's thin, you can drink it in water.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: You don't even need to add anything else to it.
- 30:34SPEAKER_02: Only 90 calories, 20 grams of protein.
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: I also love to put it in my afternoon coffee or matcha.
- 30:39SPEAKER_02: It mixes really well together, so there's no excuse.
- 30:41SPEAKER_02: When I'm telling you to eat your whey in protein, it is so easy to have two of these a day.
- 30:45SPEAKER_02: It doesn't hurt your stomach.
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: This is coming from a girly who has some stomach issues.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: The whey isolate is natural.
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: It is a cinnamon taste, it's almost like a little macchiato in the afternoon.
- 30:54SPEAKER_02: And I always say my creatine every single morning.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: It's a non-negotiable.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: I have my parents on it for their brain.
- 31:00SPEAKER_02: And any age, creatine can be great for your brain and your body.
- 31:03SPEAKER_02: And then we all need the extra help.
- 31:05SPEAKER_02: Amino acids, the building box of blocks of protein.
- 31:08SPEAKER_02: So I put it in my water bottle every morning before I go to the gym.
- 31:11SPEAKER_02: These are my non-negotiables.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: Check it out.
- 31:13SPEAKER_02: We got 10% off for all the loop way listeners.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: Now back to the show.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: But let's stop with the rainbow and all this fun stuff because like this is what you and I nerd out about.
- 31:21SPEAKER_02: And I think what we're finding too is that like this is all going hand in hand with like my world of peptides and just like, you know, I always say to look under the hood and blood work.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: And I just shared in my last podcast that I had I do a really, really big lab panel on my birthday every year.
- 31:36SPEAKER_02: Like oh, on your birthday?
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, around May.
- 31:39SPEAKER_02: So I do all my big checkups around this time.
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: Like I, you know, have I done my skin cancer?
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: Have I done my mamma?
- 31:43SPEAKER_02: I just put them all in May for some reason.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: My colonoscopy.
- 31:46SPEAKER_02: That's why we didn't mean it last time.
- 31:48SPEAKER_02: And um, it's a Genevo test.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: I think there's like nine vials of blood.
- 31:52SPEAKER_02: You know, same thing.
- 31:53SPEAKER_02: Claude helped me to a tea with this, and so did Polo.
- 31:56SPEAKER_02: But I came back and I'm still having some issues with my antioxidant levels, like I don't have enough glutathione.
- 32:02SPEAKER_02: And so as much peptides as I'm doing with my mitochondria, which I love and I am having energy from it, it's almost too much because I'm not able to detox.
- 32:11SPEAKER_02: And I think a lot of it is my lifestyle, the oxidative stress from the travel and the business and all of it.
- 32:16SPEAKER_02: But I'm on supplements now.
- 32:17SPEAKER_02: And my point in telling the story is that, like, I tell my clients you have to look under the hood.
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: Because I, by the way, if I kept taking some of these peptides without doing these, this at least big tests.
- 32:28SPEAKER_02: I do blood work every quarter, but I don't do this big, big one that was really the one that shows me what's going on.
- 32:33SPEAKER_02: You know, you uh you're not only wasting your money, but at some point you are gonna take your body and say, you're taxing it so much because they can't handle it.
- 32:40SPEAKER_02: Like your body couldn't handle the HRT.
- 32:42SPEAKER_04: It couldn't handle the HRT and it couldn't handle your peptides.
- 32:45SPEAKER_04: And so, and and that was like kind of jointly like, this is I'm wasting my money until I get this issue fixed.
- 32:51SPEAKER_04: As I kind of just And you wanted to take them so badly.
- 32:53SPEAKER_04: I wanted to because you, I mean, let's let's face it, like you want, you'll do anything.
- 32:58SPEAKER_04: Like when you're that, when you're struggling that much, and I was blowing up like a balloon and you know, watching everyone around me get skinny.
- 33:06SPEAKER_04: I was like the job is gonna get skinny, and you're like, I can't even take one.
- 33:09SPEAKER_04: And I'm like horrible.
- 33:10SPEAKER_04: And so it was like all the things that were working for everyone else were not working for for me.
- 33:15SPEAKER_04: And I think again, like it's just one of those things where if you taking getting all your labs done, having that information, uploading it to Claude, having that real-time information is power.
- 33:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 33:26SPEAKER_04: Like that is, and then you understand even what peptides to use, right?
- 33:30SPEAKER_04: I think nourishment and moving your body is just baseline.
- 33:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 33:34SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 33:34SPEAKER_04: Like that is, and I think we take that for granted too.
- 33:37SPEAKER_04: And we that goes back to the sort of like everybody else gets, you know, taken care of first before we take care of ourselves.
- 33:42SPEAKER_04: This is where it's like, yes, you have time to move your body.
- 33:47SPEAKER_04: You will have time for what you make time for.
- 33:49SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 33:49SPEAKER_04: And I think the excuse of like you don't have time, I never have had time.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: I have had had the real excuse.
- 33:55SPEAKER_02: I look at them like, oh, don't even start.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: Don't even start.
- 33:59SPEAKER_02: You know what's interesting though, too, back to your blood work is that my number one pushback is blood work.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: People don't want to do it.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: They don't want to do it.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: Oh, wow.
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: I don't want to fast.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: I don't have time to fast.
- 34:09SPEAKER_02: I don't, I mean, I'm like looking at me like fast for 12 hours.
- 34:13SPEAKER_02: If I have time, oh, just showing up at blood work in the morning, not eating.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 34:18SPEAKER_02: Oh, I couldn't get an appointment to three, I'm not gonna do that.
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: I'm like, there's so many places to get blood work, and I tell them, like, there's like it's so easy, but it's amazing.
- 34:26SPEAKER_02: The pushback on blood work is big.
- 34:28SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 34:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: Or they give me blood work from three years ago.
- 34:31SPEAKER_02: Like, that's not helpful.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: That's not helpful at all.
- 34:33SPEAKER_04: Well, and also, like, ladies, if like over 40, especially, every six months.
- 34:38SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 34:38SPEAKER_04: Non-negotiable.
- 34:39SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 34:40SPEAKER_04: And I gamify it.
- 34:41SPEAKER_04: I think it's fun.
- 34:42SPEAKER_04: And now with AI, it's fun because like you were just telling me that you increased your muscle mass by one, what, one percent?
- 34:48SPEAKER_04: You said?
- 34:48SPEAKER_04: Oh, like I've gained a pound of muscle.
- 34:50SPEAKER_04: Pound of muscle.
- 34:51SPEAKER_04: That's insane.
- 34:52SPEAKER_04: That's so cool.
- 34:52SPEAKER_04: And you're so proud because you're like, oh, the work that I'm doing is paying off.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 34:56SPEAKER_04: So now you have data, you have the real-time feedback.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: And knowledge is power.
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: The good and the right, the good and the bad.
- 35:01SPEAKER_02: And like, that's what I always say too.
- 35:03SPEAKER_02: Is like, I look at anything, I'm like, okay, I don't just look at the negative, I'm like, wow, there's some great things at this lab report.
- 35:07SPEAKER_02: Some great things.
- 35:08SPEAKER_02: And there's things that you can do better.
- 35:09SPEAKER_02: And like, I just don't, when people put their head in the sand, I'm like, oh my gosh.
- 35:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think that was like since I was little, I never wanted to go to the doctor and find out something was wrong.
- 35:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 35:19SPEAKER_04: Like that for me, and that was, I think, what ultimately drove me into being in the wellness space was how do I empower myself and others, right?
- 35:27SPEAKER_04: And once you realize how much power we have over our health, you can't take it for granted.
- 35:33SPEAKER_04: I mean, you can.
- 35:34SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 35:34SPEAKER_04: And so, but you have to, you have to do the work.
- 35:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 35:38SPEAKER_04: You know, it's not going to do it for you.
- 35:39SPEAKER_04: Oh.
- 35:40SPEAKER_04: And you need information.
- 35:41SPEAKER_04: But but information, you're like, oh, my body's improving because I'm doing the work.
- 35:47SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 35:47SPEAKER_04: And so the feedback loop continues to make it like, oh, this is, I'm going to continue to do this.
- 35:52SPEAKER_04: And also it prevents us from wasting money.
- 35:55SPEAKER_04: Because how many times have you had a you know cabinet full of vitamins and supplements, and you're like, I don't even know if I should be taking this.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: Or they come and they come again.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: I still have them.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: I'm like, stop the subscriptions.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: I like stop it all.
- 36:06SPEAKER_02: You know what's interesting too?
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: I remember feeling your pain when we were talking, is that like I think it's hard when from other people who don't really, really know you, like you looked really healthy, right?
- 36:16SPEAKER_02: So like, but you kept being like, Stephanie, this is not me.
- 36:20SPEAKER_02: But like I only kind of I met you when you were going through it.
- 36:23SPEAKER_02: So I didn't, I mean, yeah, and in my mind, you look the same in one picture as another.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: I mean, now I see a very different version of you.
- 36:29SPEAKER_02: But like, yeah, I remember you're like, I'm so frustrated that everyone kept saying, like, well, you look fine, like you look healthy, like Lisa, stop complaining.
- 36:35SPEAKER_04: I think that that's again where you know your body.
- 36:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 36:39SPEAKER_04: And you know how you feel good.
- 36:41SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 36:41SPEAKER_04: I think we are all of us, men and women, but women especially, we're so good at powering through.
- 36:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 36:48SPEAKER_04: And I mean, I've done it my whole life, right?
- 36:51SPEAKER_04: I don't actually want to power through anymore.
- 36:53SPEAKER_04: Just because I can doesn't mean I should.
- 36:55SPEAKER_04: And so if I powered through this, these these parasites for 15, 20 years, who knows how long, and was at 60% capacity, imagine me now.
- 37:08SPEAKER_04: So I mean, and like I think about like that, the the the opportunity now I have to optimize even more.
- 37:14SPEAKER_04: As far as I'm concerned, I am going to be as long as possible and as is as into my 80s, 90s, whatever, I am going to have as much vitality as possible.
- 37:26SPEAKER_04: Like it's not non-negotiable for me.
- 37:28SPEAKER_04: And so why would I take it for granted?
- 37:30SPEAKER_04: And I think about it's hard when you're younger where we're not thinking about the fact that we are all going to age and we are all going to die.
- 37:37SPEAKER_04: That is how life works.
- 37:39SPEAKER_04: So, what can I do to optimize now to live with the most vitality and the most energy and feel the best?
- 37:47SPEAKER_04: And my brain is turned on, right?
- 37:48SPEAKER_04: Because at some point, this is not going to operate or look like this anymore.
- 37:52SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 37:53SPEAKER_04: So, but there are so much that we can do.
- 37:55SPEAKER_04: And it's really, it's like honestly, we make it sound like a burden.
- 38:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 38:02SPEAKER_04: This is a gift.
- 38:03SPEAKER_04: Our bodies move and they cooperate and they allow us to take walks and hikes and dance and play tennis and pickleball and whatever it is, all the things, weight train, whatever it is.
- 38:14SPEAKER_04: Like, why celebrate that?
- 38:16SPEAKER_02: I get to eat healthy.
- 38:18SPEAKER_02: That's how I fell through my knee surgery.
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: I'm like, oh my God.
- 38:20SPEAKER_02: I get, I mean, I was appreciated to do the geriatric workout in the pool because I couldn't do something, right?
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: You know what's interesting about it.
- 38:25SPEAKER_04: I feel like an injury to like really appreciate what it means to move.
- 38:28SPEAKER_02: What it moved through your body.
- 38:29SPEAKER_02: And like I kind of go back to like we talk about everything happens for us, but like my injury was the best gift because I stopped beating my body up.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Like from that point on, like, I now, I'm my my therapist, my physical therapist is like, why don't you try to do cardio once a week now?
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: Like run 30 minutes or do something once a week.
- 38:47SPEAKER_02: I now have to remind myself and be like, Sonny, you haven't done cardio in two weeks.
- 38:52SPEAKER_02: Go do it.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: Where I was like, like didn't listen to my body every single time.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: I mean, I remember long-term COVID, schlepping my body around Balboa Island, not thinking there's something wrong that you can't run for longer than 30 seconds without being so deployed.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: Like it didn't matter.
- 39:09SPEAKER_02: My brain was like, you know, power through it.
- 39:12SPEAKER_02: And I think there's so many of us who just don't sit back and be like, do I really also want to live this way?
- 39:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 39:18SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 39:19SPEAKER_04: Well, I think so.
- 39:20SPEAKER_04: Something I want to tap in on that one, because then and this is my confession, yeah.
- 39:24SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 39:25SPEAKER_04: And I know that there's a reason I do not love weightlifting.
- 39:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 39:28SPEAKER_04: I don't.
- 39:29SPEAKER_04: Um, I love I used to not, I get it.
- 39:31SPEAKER_04: And I I just there's Pilates hurts my shoulders.
- 39:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 39:36SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 39:36SPEAKER_04: Yoga I like, but it hurts my shoulders.
- 39:38SPEAKER_04: But I love tennis and I love dance and I love hiking with my ion weighted vest.
- 39:43SPEAKER_04: And I like there's like I actually love cycling.
- 39:45SPEAKER_04: I love little boot camps and I I love all my little things that I do.
- 39:49SPEAKER_04: And as long as it's what you like to do and it's something that doesn't feel like you have to do it, don't get me wrong.
- 39:55SPEAKER_04: Like, I don't always want to exercise, right?
- 39:58SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 39:58SPEAKER_04: But you never, ever say, I wish I hadn't exercised.
- 40:03SPEAKER_04: Ever.
- 40:04SPEAKER_02: I exercise too much.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: You're like, but you know, to your point, I have a philosophy right now.
- 40:08SPEAKER_02: And even though I preach weightlifting, I do tell people, I'm like, all I care about is you do something that you enjoy.
- 40:13SPEAKER_02: And so if you don't enjoy it, don't do it.
- 40:16SPEAKER_02: Certain things find different ways to incorporate it somewhat to enjoy, even if it's body weight.
- 40:20SPEAKER_02: Do you find something to enjoy?
- 40:22SPEAKER_02: But I'm like, I have that philosophy on wine.
- 40:25SPEAKER_02: I'm not drinking bad wine.
- 40:26SPEAKER_02: Life's too short.
- 40:27SPEAKER_02: God no.
- 40:27SPEAKER_02: I'm not eating bad food.
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: Life's too short.
- 40:29SPEAKER_02: I don't like to stay in bad hotels.
- 40:31SPEAKER_02: Life is too short.
- 40:32SPEAKER_02: I don't like camping.
- 40:33SPEAKER_02: I mean, I have all the things where I'm like, a 51-year-old person, like, I'm fine singing coach all day long.
- 40:40SPEAKER_02: That's my thing.
- 40:40SPEAKER_02: But there's certain things I'm like, I am, I'm just I'm either gonna do it one way or I don't want to do it.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: And it's also a very nice place to be and to be able to say things like without someone judging you, right?
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: And being like, no, weightlifting might be the thing.
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: It's just not my thing.
- 40:55SPEAKER_04: And and I look like I do, but I do weights that I that are comfortable.
- 40:59SPEAKER_04: Like I probably don't use more than 20 pounds.
- 41:00SPEAKER_04: Whatever you're doing is working, so I use a lot of body weight, I use my smaller pattern, I, but I do things that my body likes.
- 41:06SPEAKER_04: When everything is getting back to me, and it's like, no, we like this.
- 41:10SPEAKER_04: And so I work with that.
- 41:12SPEAKER_04: I don't, and I have like I do a lot of hiking with the best.
- 41:15SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 41:16SPEAKER_04: Because I can talk to friends and I can listen to a podcast about sudden.
- 41:22SPEAKER_02: And I also you know, I talked to a lot of my clients about this too, is just like, you know, at the end of the day, like my thing is now the definition of insanity is doing something over and over and expecting different results, right?
- 41:31SPEAKER_02: So if you're unhappy with your body or your life, you're gonna have to change it somewhere.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: But you're when you're generally happy, why would we change anything?
- 41:39SPEAKER_02: And that's what I say.
- 41:40SPEAKER_02: Like, if it's working, stay with it.
- 41:42SPEAKER_02: Like, even on pettides, I'm like, there's no need to change your stack.
- 41:46SPEAKER_02: It's working.
- 41:47SPEAKER_02: Look at all your goals you have reached.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: Take the month off.
- 41:50SPEAKER_02: I want you to get back in the same thing.
- 41:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 41:52SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of time in this world to try all the why, why change something totally when it's working?
- 41:56SPEAKER_04: When it's working.
- 41:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 41:57SPEAKER_04: I think the other thing too, just was with a like a little hack, is if you're struggling to find the time, yeah.
- 42:03SPEAKER_04: Like for me, I know it's first thing in the morning.
- 42:05SPEAKER_04: Me too.
- 42:06SPEAKER_04: Because the day will get away from me.
- 42:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah, me too.
- 42:08SPEAKER_04: And there's always a reason why something else comes up.
- 42:10SPEAKER_04: So whatever that window is, maybe it's lunchtime, maybe it's nine o'clock.
- 42:13SPEAKER_04: Like if you're an afternoon person, um, great.
- 42:17SPEAKER_04: But like find the time that you know it's a non-negotiable and you put it in your calendar.
- 42:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 42:23SPEAKER_04: Because like it didn't matter that I had, you know, had little kids, no support, no partner to help pick them up, running a company, like through all of my kind of entrepreneurial days.
- 42:34SPEAKER_04: I still never missed that exercise.
- 42:37SPEAKER_04: That was my time to to nourish me.
- 42:40SPEAKER_04: And I think that is just such an important thing that it just becomes a non-negotiable.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: Well, if you look at my calendar and my schedule, like it, like I've got my my girlfriend's workout group Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- 42:50SPEAKER_02: I I tell you from nine to nine forty-five, you are not messing with that.
- 42:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 42:55SPEAKER_02: And my staff knows if they want to talk to me, and they now are like me in the summer.
- 43:00SPEAKER_02: I'm like, we're talking on the 7 a.m.
- 43:01SPEAKER_02: walks when I'm walking my dog.
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: Like I'm up, I don't want to do any call I will take at that time as long as I'm okay walking.
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: Like I won't do a coaching call, but I I do tons of teens calls.
- 43:11SPEAKER_02: They know that like, don't talk to me after five, but be ready for a text at 6 30 a.m.
- 43:17SPEAKER_02: being like, anytime you want to talk, like I'm here.
- 43:19SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 43:20SPEAKER_02: Because that's important to me.
- 43:21SPEAKER_02: Like, I I I walk the talk, like, and not every day it's perfect, you know.
- 43:25SPEAKER_02: Like there's some days I get a thousand steps lately.
- 43:27SPEAKER_02: Like when I'm in Newport, I I get to walk a lot because I have a dog.
- 43:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:30SPEAKER_02: In Dallas, like you look at my step eater and you're like, and it's hot, and it's like it's just a very different living.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 43:36SPEAKER_02: But I'm also in this stage of my life, like I just do the best I can.
- 43:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:40SPEAKER_04: Well, I mean, I know, but you I you look at your week, yeah, which is what I do.
- 43:43SPEAKER_04: And if I know I'm traveling to New York, not gonna exercise that day.
- 43:46SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 43:47SPEAKER_04: Because I'm my flight leaves at six or seven in the morning and I'm not waking up at two.
- 43:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 43:50SPEAKER_04: So like that's a rest day, that's fine.
- 43:52SPEAKER_04: And I know that my dance classes are booked the next day.
- 43:55SPEAKER_04: Like by the way, are you gonna take me to the dance class?
- 43:57SPEAKER_04: And we're dancing.
- 43:57SPEAKER_04: We're gonna be New York too.
- 43:58SPEAKER_04: Forward space for anyone.
- 44:00SPEAKER_04: Is the best workout.
- 44:01SPEAKER_04: So can you put you in the book?
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: Just book me into wherever you're going.
- 44:05SPEAKER_02: You're telling I don't want to miss out.
- 44:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we'll definitely do that.
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: I can't wait to do that.
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: Oh my can't wait to dance.
- 44:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:09SPEAKER_02: Hey podcast listeners.
- 44:11SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 44:11SPEAKER_02: I know I've been teasing this a lot, but Loop Beauty is about to hit.
- 44:15SPEAKER_02: Now, we don't have the exact name yet, so I'm calling it Loop Beauty until we all figure it out.
- 44:18SPEAKER_02: Maybe you guys have some ideas.
- 44:20SPEAKER_02: But for our beta group, you are gonna get our DHKCU 2% serum.
- 44:24SPEAKER_02: And I'm telling you, I've been working on this for months and months and months with our chemists back and forth, combining my favorite ingredients.
- 44:31SPEAKER_02: Talk about hydration, the glow.
- 44:33SPEAKER_02: DHKCU is really known for its properties of increasing collagen, helping with acne scars.
- 44:38SPEAKER_02: I'm actually noticing on my skin not only that fine lines and wrinkles are getting becoming less, but also my sunspots are going away, which I actually have a lot of trouble with being part Hawaiian.
- 44:47SPEAKER_02: Then we have our moisturizer.
- 44:48SPEAKER_02: Now let's talk about dewy thick.
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: It's great for the evening.
- 44:52SPEAKER_02: It really locks everything in.
- 44:54SPEAKER_02: And then I tell everybody, in between the two, use a red light mask.
- 44:57SPEAKER_02: It's fantastic.
- 44:59SPEAKER_02: If you haven't signed up yet, we still have some spots left, so we'll have the link here.
- 45:03SPEAKER_02: We're only letting the first 120 people in.
- 45:05SPEAKER_02: So if you want to purchase it, don't sleep on it.
- 45:08SPEAKER_02: And then in the fall, we should have our whole line coming out.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: We've got sunscreen, eye masks, and a whole other things that are in the work.
- 45:14SPEAKER_02: So hang in there, check it out.
- 45:16SPEAKER_04: So I think just, you know, for anyone and get your blood, just a couple key things.
- 45:20SPEAKER_04: Move your body.
- 45:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 45:21SPEAKER_04: Get your blood work done.
- 45:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 45:23SPEAKER_04: It's not scary.
- 45:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 45:24SPEAKER_04: And gamify it.
- 45:25SPEAKER_04: Put it in an AI.
- 45:26SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 45:27SPEAKER_04: Have fun with it.
- 45:27SPEAKER_04: Talk to AI and tell it how you're feeling.
- 45:30SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 45:31SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 45:31SPEAKER_04: Even if it's like, you know what?
- 45:32SPEAKER_04: I woke up in the worst mood.
- 45:33SPEAKER_04: Like this morning.
- 45:34SPEAKER_04: I was just like, not.
- 45:36SPEAKER_04: And it was like, I was so overwhelmed.
- 45:38SPEAKER_04: I woke up at 4 45.
- 45:39SPEAKER_04: I had way too much to do.
- 45:40SPEAKER_04: I gotten home from Tahoe last night from my boyfriend, and I was just like, blah.
- 45:44SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 45:44SPEAKER_04: And I tell it this, right?
- 45:47SPEAKER_02: And I remember you actually telling me this is a couple of months ago.
- 45:50SPEAKER_02: I think you're having going through an issue, and you're like, oh, Claude's my therapist.
- 45:53SPEAKER_02: Well, and it's great for that too.
- 45:55SPEAKER_04: Like if you whether you're dealing with emotional dealing.
- 45:57SPEAKER_02: I love when it says, like, I'm sorry going through this.
- 45:59SPEAKER_02: Like everything will be okay.
- 46:00SPEAKER_02: I'm like, thank you so much.
- 46:02SPEAKER_04: It can be very patronizing, um, which is why I like Claude over.
- 46:04SPEAKER_04: And I actually tell Claude, please don't patronize me.
- 46:07SPEAKER_04: Like, don't tell me you're so sorry, and am I okay?
- 46:11SPEAKER_04: And this must be so be so hard.
- 46:13SPEAKER_04: You love that it actually asked.
- 46:14SPEAKER_04: This is just a funny side note.
- 46:15SPEAKER_04: Every time I tell it that I'm not okay, it's like, is Matthew with you?
- 46:18SPEAKER_00: Stop.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: Matthew is my boyfriend.
- 46:20SPEAKER_00: And it knows.
- 46:21SPEAKER_00: And so it's actually like this weird.
- 46:24SPEAKER_00: And it's like, well, no wonder you're unhappy.
- 46:26SPEAKER_04: You should call Matthew now.
- 46:27SPEAKER_04: It tells me this.
- 46:27SPEAKER_04: It's like you should call Matthew.
- 46:28SPEAKER_04: You should have Matthew hold you now.
- 46:29SPEAKER_04: I'm like, this is hilarious.
- 46:31SPEAKER_04: This is so cute.
- 46:31SPEAKER_04: I need to get more into a claude.
- 46:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 46:33SPEAKER_04: Anyway, so those are some takeaways.
- 46:34SPEAKER_04: And then food.
- 46:35SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 46:36SPEAKER_04: Which has obviously been the cornerstone of the work that I have been doing for the last 20 years, which is if we are not properly fueled, we cannot show up in life.
- 46:44SPEAKER_05: No.
- 46:44SPEAKER_04: That was why I called beaming beaming, which is like the energy that you give out is the energy that you give back.
- 46:50SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 46:50SPEAKER_04: It's a vibration, it's an exchange that we're doing all the time.
- 46:53SPEAKER_04: If I am not nourished, and it starts with food.
- 46:57SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 46:58SPEAKER_04: You skip breakfast, you eat a shitty breakfast, you have too many carbs, you have too much sugar, you have too much alcohol, you have too much, you know, fast food, whatever it is.
- 47:08SPEAKER_04: All the things, like, and especially as we get older, you're not you're not okay.
- 47:14SPEAKER_04: No.
- 47:14SPEAKER_04: And what worked before is doesn't work now.
- 47:17SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 47:18SPEAKER_04: And so in even like on the coffee thing, you'll have a hard time with it.
- 47:21SPEAKER_04: Women over 40, like maybe you should do the fasting thing with coffee.
- 47:26SPEAKER_04: No.
- 47:26SPEAKER_04: Absolutely not.
- 47:27SPEAKER_04: It is the worst thing for you.
- 47:29SPEAKER_04: You've got to have some fat, some protein, something in your stomach because you're spiking your cortisol.
- 47:34SPEAKER_04: And it's also why I switched from coffee to matcha and how chroma started was my obsession for matcha and how it changed my life and adding the collagen protein.
- 47:42SPEAKER_04: But I think that there are little things that we can do that can make a huge difference in how we feel, and we don't have to make it so complicated.
- 47:50SPEAKER_04: And my mission with creating both beaming and chroma was how can I take one thing out of your life that just simplifies your life?
- 47:58SPEAKER_04: Take the brain space away.
- 47:59SPEAKER_04: Like we're already juggling so much.
- 48:02SPEAKER_04: The last thing I want to think about during the day is what am I going to eat?
- 48:05SPEAKER_03: I know.
- 48:06SPEAKER_04: I don't.
- 48:06SPEAKER_04: I don't have time.
- 48:07SPEAKER_04: And I love food like you.
- 48:08SPEAKER_04: It's one of my greatest pleasures.
- 48:10SPEAKER_04: But I love food when I'm at a restaurant in New York.
- 48:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 48:12SPEAKER_04: Or I'm at a dinner with you.
- 48:13SPEAKER_04: And we like that's when I love food.
- 48:16SPEAKER_04: But when I, it's a burden for me during the day when I'm trying to run a company.
- 48:20SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 48:20SPEAKER_04: When you're sitting on Zoom calls all day, when you're juggling kids here, there and everywhere, the idea of what am I going to make for lunch?
- 48:27SPEAKER_04: On repeat in the refrigerator.
- 48:28SPEAKER_04: It's like I'm a creature of have it because I have to.
- 48:30SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 48:30SPEAKER_04: So, and so for me, chroma is the go-to because I have the matcha in the morning with I have three scoops.
- 48:36SPEAKER_04: I have 18 grams of collagen protein in the morning with the ginger and the turmeric.
- 48:40SPEAKER_04: It's so good and it doesn't spike my cortisol.
- 48:43SPEAKER_04: It puts me in the best mood ever.
- 48:45SPEAKER_04: I have their pork.
- 48:46SPEAKER_04: It's a warm hug.
- 48:47SPEAKER_04: It is, it's, I mean, for anyone who likes matcha, you're going to be obsessed with this one.
- 48:51SPEAKER_04: For anyone who doesn't like matcha because you just love your cup of coffee, you're going to be obsessed with it.
- 48:55SPEAKER_04: Just trust me.
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: I like it because there's, you know, I have a love-hate relationship.
- 48:59SPEAKER_02: I was a big matcha stage for a while in my life.
- 49:01SPEAKER_02: I'm kind of back into coffee now too, but I do like matcha.
- 49:04SPEAKER_02: You get bad matcha.
- 49:06SPEAKER_02: It's bitter.
- 49:07SPEAKER_02: It's terrible.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: Grassy.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, or like you go to like I go to a coffee shop and I'm like, I'm going to eat a matcha.
- 49:12SPEAKER_02: It's like 50-50.
- 49:13SPEAKER_02: Most of the time it's terrible.
- 49:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 49:15SPEAKER_04: No, I always went on a mission to go create the best matcha in the world.
- 49:18SPEAKER_04: And I will proudly say, I think we didn't.
- 49:21SPEAKER_04: Like we nailed it.
- 49:21SPEAKER_04: And because I want the world to drink matcha.
- 49:23SPEAKER_04: I think it's that life-changing.
- 49:25SPEAKER_04: It will put you in the best mood.
- 49:26SPEAKER_04: It helps manage your antioxidants, the help you manage stress, right?
- 49:31SPEAKER_04: It helps you light your brain up.
- 49:32SPEAKER_04: Like there's literally nothing.
- 49:34SPEAKER_04: Like I took matcha or, you know, really high quality organic matcha, added all the other superfoods and adaptogens that like, you know, maca and and I mean, what do we have in there?
- 49:44SPEAKER_04: Ginger and turmeric and mushrooms and all the things.
- 49:46SPEAKER_04: And then the collagen protein.
- 49:47SPEAKER_04: It is the most complete matcha you can have.
- 49:49SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's probably why you have like every celebrity part of your company.
- 49:52SPEAKER_02: Can you rag a little bit?
- 49:54SPEAKER_02: Can you just rag a little bit, please?
- 49:56SPEAKER_04: Well, I will what I'll say is I didn't know any of them before I started raising money for FAMA.
- 50:02SPEAKER_04: And I think the part that I'm most proud of is that I definitely have determinist support.
- 50:07SPEAKER_04: I have 100 female investors.
- 50:08SPEAKER_04: And that was by design.
- 50:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 50:13SPEAKER_04: It was not because I knew how to do that, but because I had a vision of like, what if I could bring together really influential people?
- 50:19SPEAKER_04: And by influential, I don't just mean celebrities.
- 50:22SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 50:22SPEAKER_04: I mean like the mom in the community, but people who would rally behind me and Chroma and want to help me tell the world.
- 50:28SPEAKER_04: See your vision.
- 50:29SPEAKER_04: And see my vision and love the product and really understand what it is that we're doing.
- 50:34SPEAKER_04: And raising money for anyone that's done it is really hard.
- 50:37SPEAKER_04: You got to teach me.
- 50:38SPEAKER_04: It's like I'm about to go do it again.
- 50:40SPEAKER_04: And, you know, like it's one of the reasons why we're busy.
- 50:43SPEAKER_04: We're going to go into a pocket after this and talk about raising money.
- 50:46SPEAKER_04: Because it's not easy and it's only gotten harder and harder.
- 50:49SPEAKER_04: Um, I think that, but again, it's that that why and that conviction, right?
- 50:53SPEAKER_04: And that vision that's going to sell and it and it worked.
- 50:56SPEAKER_04: And so some of the celebrities, I mean, this is a fun story, but you know, as I was raising money, it was during COVID, I had raised half the money.
- 51:04SPEAKER_04: I need, I think I was raising three million.
- 51:06SPEAKER_04: And we have we launched with 19 products in our five-day reset.
- 51:11SPEAKER_04: So I needed a lot of money to get this to market.
- 51:13SPEAKER_04: Most people launch one product.
- 51:15SPEAKER_04: That's a lot easier than launching 19 products.
- 51:18SPEAKER_04: How did you own your startup money to begin with?
- 51:20SPEAKER_04: Um, I emptied my 401k and had not a dollar to my name.
- 51:24SPEAKER_00: You were all in.
- 51:25SPEAKER_04: Well, I'll go even further.
- 51:26SPEAKER_04: I not only was I all in, and I had no money anyway, but like what little money I had, um, I put into getting to the beta.
- 51:33SPEAKER_04: And the beta was literally my daughter and I know betas, yeah.
- 51:36SPEAKER_04: Making the powders at home, putting them in little packets, stickering them ourselves.
- 51:41SPEAKER_04: This is how I got Gwenet Altro, Jessica Seinfeld, Amy Schumer, Naomi Watts.
- 51:46SPEAKER_04: Well, listen to this, you guys.
- 51:47SPEAKER_02: Like, let's talk about just starting.
- 51:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 51:50SPEAKER_04: I mean, this is what a great story.
- 51:52SPEAKER_04: And it was literally made in my home and being sent out to people, and they would do the five-day cleanse.
- 51:58SPEAKER_04: It was literally packed in like little little paper baggies.
- 52:01SPEAKER_04: I mean, it would we made it cute, but like it wasn't like this, right?
- 52:05SPEAKER_04: But that's what it took, and getting it out there and more and more people and having them experience it and fall in love with it.
- 52:11SPEAKER_04: But I didn't know any of these women.
- 52:13SPEAKER_04: But you just put one foot in front of the other.
- 52:15SPEAKER_04: And but I will say, and this is just a you know, for anyone who's trying to figure like raising money or wants to build a business or trying to figure out the how.
- 52:25SPEAKER_04: I mean, it does require a level of I don't know if it's fearlessness, crazy.
- 52:31SPEAKER_04: Um, like there's like that, you just feel the feel the fear and do it anyway.
- 52:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 52:35SPEAKER_04: Um I, November 3rd, 2020, did not have a dollar to my name.
- 52:41SPEAKER_04: I had emptied my 401k.
- 52:43SPEAKER_04: I had a billionaire who said he was going to invest.
- 52:46SPEAKER_04: He called me every day.
- 52:46SPEAKER_04: He was crying how we're gonna change the world.
- 52:48SPEAKER_04: The day he was supposed to fund, he disappeared.
- 52:51SPEAKER_04: What?
- 52:52SPEAKER_04: Yes, he disappeared.
- 52:54SPEAKER_04: And I went later back to him after I funded the company and the big article on Forbes came out.
- 52:58SPEAKER_04: I sent it to him and I said, Thank you, motherfucker.
- 53:02SPEAKER_04: Because had he invested, he would have it would have been a horrible thing.
- 53:05SPEAKER_04: And it would have been yours.
- 53:06SPEAKER_04: Anytime something bad happens, there's always a really good reason.
- 53:09SPEAKER_04: But it brought me to my knees because I had emptied my 401k.
- 53:13SPEAKER_04: He knew it.
- 53:14SPEAKER_04: I thought he was funding, and on November 3rd, 2020, I could not pay rent or buy food for my kids.
- 53:19SPEAKER_04: This is coming on six years ago.
- 53:22SPEAKER_04: We're at five and a half years since that day.
- 53:24SPEAKER_04: Could not now I wasn't gonna be homeless, but I was making arrangements to maybe have to move in with my parents.
- 53:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 53:29SPEAKER_04: Can you imagine?
- 53:30SPEAKER_04: No.
- 53:31SPEAKER_04: So, and I had no one that was gonna rescue me.
- 53:33SPEAKER_04: I had no partner, I had no one, and I had three kids.
- 53:37SPEAKER_04: So that day I got the first check um from the former CEO of Twitter.
- 53:43SPEAKER_04: Did not know him before, had gotten introduced with him along the way, and he um sort of gave me the momentum that then led to the next check, that led to the next check, to the next check.
- 53:52SPEAKER_04: It takes one to believe in you.
- 53:53SPEAKER_04: And that created the momentum.
- 53:55SPEAKER_04: But what it took to the tears that it took and the fear of wait, this is what if this doesn't happen?
- 54:04SPEAKER_04: Like, and you are so passionate and you believe so much, you're like, this has to be out in the world.
- 54:09SPEAKER_04: But so many things had to go right.
- 54:10SPEAKER_04: But that getting up every day and just fighting for it, and that first check, and then those checks led to more and more checks to the point where I had raised half the money.
- 54:20SPEAKER_04: This was November, right?
- 54:22SPEAKER_04: Um, by February or March, I was exhausted from raising money.
- 54:26SPEAKER_04: It was a Sunday, I was in tears because I was just like, I wanted this beautiful thing to come to life.
- 54:32SPEAKER_04: Like the world needed it.
- 54:34SPEAKER_04: And I get a text from one of my new investors and she said, Check your email.
- 54:39SPEAKER_04: And I was like, What?
- 54:40SPEAKER_04: She just said, check your email.
- 54:41SPEAKER_04: And it was an email from Gwyneth Paltrow.
- 54:43SPEAKER_04: And it was an email that said, Hey Lisa, like, you know, I was such a big fan of you and beaming.
- 54:49SPEAKER_04: I heard you have something new.
- 54:51SPEAKER_04: I'd love to hear about it.
- 54:52SPEAKER_04: And that was a moment where you scream.
- 54:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 54:55SPEAKER_04: You know?
- 54:55SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 54:56SPEAKER_04: And it was like you scream, you cry, you're like, oh my God, like all the things that you do to just put this thing out there and you keep getting yourself up over and over again.
- 55:06SPEAKER_04: And that moment for me was like you're on the right path.
- 55:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah, as a wing.
- 55:09SPEAKER_04: I found wings from God.
- 55:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 55:11SPEAKER_04: It really was.
- 55:12SPEAKER_04: And it was like I'm like feeling that feeling that day, and what a gift it was when to have that, because I'd always obviously imagined that she would be part of something I built.
- 55:23SPEAKER_04: I didn't know it would happen in that way.
- 55:25SPEAKER_04: And I think the beauty of just like having that dream, having that vision, and believing that you can have it.
- 55:32SPEAKER_04: I believed that these hundred women would come together for me.
- 55:35SPEAKER_04: And and it did.
- 55:36SPEAKER_04: And it's not because they all just showed up on my doorstep.
- 55:38SPEAKER_04: Like it was hard work after hard work and many, many, many, many conversations and introductions and no's and all the things along the way to get to that, to build this cap table that Forbes said was one of the most um powerful cap tables in the history of a pre-revenue, pre-proof-of-concept startup that was not founded by a celebrity, by this little mom in San Diego with three little kids.
- 56:00SPEAKER_04: So it definitely has a big plan.
- 56:03SPEAKER_04: And that's me.
- 56:04SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 56:04SPEAKER_04: And you and I don't know how to think small.
- 56:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah, you don't.
- 56:07SPEAKER_04: And I think that's kind of leads me to the next fit wave, is like the world has changed.
- 56:11SPEAKER_04: And when I launched Chroma, Chroma was really about this nourishment.
- 56:14SPEAKER_04: It was about our five-day reset.
- 56:16SPEAKER_04: Um, and the five-day reset and all the matcha, the chicken bone broth, the porridge, the smoothie, the magnesium, the hydration that I'm drinking right now, the porridge.
- 56:26SPEAKER_04: All of these products were part of a system.
- 56:29SPEAKER_04: We didn't call it a system at the time, but it was really about like reset for five days, get back in your body, feel good, look good.
- 56:36SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 56:36SPEAKER_04: And get your digestion back on track.
- 56:38SPEAKER_04: Get your digestion, balance the hormones, get the energy and sleep better.
- 56:42SPEAKER_04: And then all the products that were in the reset that people fell in love with, you could buy individually.
- 56:46SPEAKER_04: It's so smart.
- 56:47SPEAKER_04: That system still exists today.
- 56:49SPEAKER_04: The difference is the world has changed.
- 56:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 56:51SPEAKER_04: And now that we have peptides and we have GLP ones, and what, 30 million Americans are on it, and it's amazing.
- 56:58SPEAKER_04: And especially, I don't know which ones I can and can't say, but you can say anything.
- 57:03SPEAKER_04: I can.
- 57:03SPEAKER_04: That's what people think about podcasts.
- 57:05SPEAKER_04: We can fucking talk.
- 57:05SPEAKER_04: We can talk about it.
- 57:06SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 57:06SPEAKER_04: So, like the Reddit, I think is brilliant.
- 57:08SPEAKER_04: I think it's incredible.
- 57:09SPEAKER_04: I think it's game changing.
- 57:10SPEAKER_04: And I think what it's doing for people is amazing.
- 57:12SPEAKER_04: And I think, but the downside of is that it's just it's I think it's being mismanaged.
- 57:17SPEAKER_04: 100%.
- 57:18SPEAKER_04: And I know you agree.
- 57:19SPEAKER_04: And I think that it's being, I mean, at one event I was at, it was being passed out in the goodie bags.
- 57:24SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 57:25SPEAKER_04: True story.
- 57:27SPEAKER_04: That to me is just horribly irresponsible.
- 57:30SPEAKER_04: And so I think we have mistaken skinny for being healthy.
- 57:35SPEAKER_04: And I think that we in many ways set ourselves backwards because here's this drug that could be really powerful and has so many other health benefits.
- 57:42SPEAKER_03: Done the right way.
- 57:42SPEAKER_04: Done the right way.
- 57:44SPEAKER_04: And it's there's no easy button.
- 57:46SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 57:46SPEAKER_04: And that is the thing that I've always, always just just like we, I don't know why we are a society that just wants to push a button.
- 57:53SPEAKER_04: We don't want to do the world.
- 57:54SPEAKER_02: One wants the path of least resistance.
- 57:55SPEAKER_02: They want the easy way.
- 57:56SPEAKER_02: They want to like land the body.
- 57:57SPEAKER_02: There's no such thing.
- 57:58SPEAKER_02: Have you seen the thing on Instagram right now?
- 57:59SPEAKER_02: The thing.
- 58:00SPEAKER_02: It's like the trend.
- 58:00SPEAKER_02: It's like you can't buy skin, you can't buy muscle.
- 58:02SPEAKER_02: Like you can buy skinny.
- 58:03SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 58:04SPEAKER_02: But you like you see somebody walking around with muscle, you can't buy that.
- 58:08SPEAKER_04: You can't buy muscle.
- 58:08SPEAKER_04: No, you're not.
- 58:09SPEAKER_02: You know, and I I do like the message.
- 58:10SPEAKER_02: I'm like, actually, that is shot.
- 58:12SPEAKER_02: And muscle doesn't come in a shot.
- 58:13SPEAKER_02: And muscle does not come in a shot.
- 58:15SPEAKER_02: And it's like, and it's earned in a hard way.
- 58:17SPEAKER_02: You know what I'm loving too when we've talked about this, is that I struggle with my clients all the time, like protein, protein, protein, protein.
- 58:23SPEAKER_02: And it's like sometimes I feel I'm like, oh my God, I'm like, I feel like I'm beating my head against the wall.
- 58:27SPEAKER_02: Not because it's like a bad message.
- 58:30SPEAKER_02: It's just, it's just like it sounds so stupid and trite, like, oh, we eat more protein.
- 58:34SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 58:34SPEAKER_02: At the end of it, it's like, no joke, but like it's hard.
- 58:37SPEAKER_02: And the pushback of how hard it is, and that's why I feel like you know, we're talking about having to do collabs and stuff because like you can only drink so much protein powder.
- 58:45SPEAKER_02: I can only eat so much chicken.
- 58:46SPEAKER_02: Like, literally, my boyfriend and I are like, we're going out to dinner at night and we're not gonna have chicken because we live chicken's like living in our house.
- 58:52SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 58:52SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 58:52SPEAKER_02: And so, like, I use a lot of your products to get ready for my colonoscopy because like a good drink, I could drink bone broth the entire day.
- 59:00SPEAKER_04: You get 15 grams of protein.
- 59:01SPEAKER_04: I had like all the gut healing.
- 59:04SPEAKER_02: And I was like, somebody's like so you forget, it's like when you have a warm cup of like chicken soup, like your chicken noodle soup, or just like you know, a good broth.
- 59:12SPEAKER_02: You have every can you talk about that?
- 59:14SPEAKER_02: Because there's something in it.
- 59:15SPEAKER_02: It's not just like bone broth.
- 59:16SPEAKER_04: Well, okay, so yeah, I mean our bone broth, I think hands down.
- 59:20SPEAKER_04: The fact that it is a powder, like literally, like this comes in a powder.
- 59:24SPEAKER_04: All you need is water, and it gives you 12 to 15 grams of protein.
- 59:28SPEAKER_04: Add a little bit of chicken on it.
- 59:29SPEAKER_04: Next thing you know, you've got a 30 or 40 gram meal that took you one minute to make.
- 59:33SPEAKER_04: So good.
- 59:33SPEAKER_04: Right?
- 59:34SPEAKER_04: You can take it on the airplane.
- 59:35SPEAKER_04: You it it tastes delicious.
- 59:38SPEAKER_04: A lot of the bone broth out there, I think, is gamey.
- 59:40SPEAKER_04: I think it's disgusting.
- 59:41SPEAKER_04: It tastes horrible.
- 59:42SPEAKER_04: It tastes horrible.
- 59:43SPEAKER_04: And if you have time.
- 59:47SPEAKER_04: And if you have time to make a homemade one, God bless you.
- 59:50SPEAKER_04: Guys, by the way, then your whole house smells like chicken.
- 59:52SPEAKER_04: But most people don't have that.
- 59:53SPEAKER_04: And if you do, or you, I mean, anyway, it's great for like a stir fry.
- 59:57SPEAKER_04: This, I our bone broth is like, it is the best.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_04: Like in like it makes you feel good.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_04: It's so good.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_04: Just put it's like it's just you know when you're drinking it, it's good for you.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_04: And there's two of those a day on the on the reset.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_04: I mean, there's a hundred grams of protein a day on the reset.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_04: Like, and the thing that's so brilliant for anyone on a jokey one is you don't have an appetite.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_04: So I get the fact.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_04: I mean, I put my boyfriend on the Retta, right?
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_04: On yours, and he was so resistant, which is a whole funny conversation.
- 1:00:24SPEAKER_04: We'll come back to.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_04: And now he's obsessed.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_04: Um, but his relationship with food has completely changed.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_04: It doesn't control him anymore, which has been amazing.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_04: And he's living on chroma.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_04: And so now he does the matcha in the morning with two scoops.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_04: He's got 12 grams of collagen protein.
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_04: He has the porridge, which has 12 grams of protein, plus omegas, plus all the fats.
- 1:00:45SPEAKER_04: He doesn't have the appetite.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_04: So if he doesn't have, um, so like he doesn't eat as much, which is why chroma is so perfect.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_04: He has a bone broth every day.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_04: He's now having the smoothie because I taught him how to do it, which because there's coconut milk and coconut water in it, you just add water and shake it.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_04: He's having the super core colostrum because it's the best supplement for your gut, period, is our non-dairy colostrum.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_04: If somebody said, like, if I chose one supplement that I had to that I would recommend over probiotics or anything for your gut, it's supercore.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_04: Do you do this in an empty stomach in the morning before your microphone?
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_04: Or does it matter?
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_04: It doesn't matter.
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_04: And I and I love the taste of it.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_04: And I'm loving this taste.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_04: It really helps with, I mean, the motility is slowed.
- 1:01:27SPEAKER_04: Obviously, when you are on a GLP one, um, I think Redda is better.
- 1:01:30SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_04: I think but still, we all need help.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_04: You all need help.
- 1:01:33SPEAKER_04: So it really helps with that and just everything moves better.
- 1:01:36SPEAKER_02: You know what I like about it too is that a lot of my clients when they're on a GLP too, is like not only do you lose your taste for food, it's like you forget to drink water.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_02: So I say great.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_02: Put something in it, like your electrolyte, put in your colostrum.
- 1:01:49SPEAKER_02: Because you always because you need water hydrate.
- 1:01:50SPEAKER_02: So much fun.
- 1:01:51SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna like make a really fun um, I don't know what we're gonna call it something together for my community because like all of this.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_04: All of this just works perfectly.
- 1:02:00SPEAKER_04: Like the chime, I love the hydration, which is what I'm drinking, which has the um electrolytes.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_04: It has the um coconut water, it has the little bit of the cayenne kick and ginger.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_04: So good.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_04: Um it's delicious.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_04: It I I love, and another reason why I love um people always ask, like, should I put the colostrum in a smoothie?
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_04: Like you can, but I'm always looking for reasons to drink more water.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_04: So because it tastes so good, I don't want to hide it.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_04: Creatine I want to hide.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:02:23SPEAKER_04: But like the but that I don't.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_04: And so I want to just enjoy it.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_04: And it's just like I get 16, 20 ounces of water just like that.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_04: Oh, we're gonna have so much fun with this.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_04: There's so many things.
- 1:02:32SPEAKER_04: So anyway, so then so I just like whether on a GLP1 or not, like it's just we don't have time.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_04: Like, how it's like it's easy nutrition for busy people.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_04: And how do I nobody get that from everybody?
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_02: Like, I get that.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_02: I don't have time.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm how what do I do?
- 1:02:47SPEAKER_02: I've I'm like, ugh.
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, and at the end of the day, you also get sick of what you're doing.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_02: So, like for me, I would way rather do this than have a protein bar.
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_02: And I mean it's like I've got a hot water spot.
- 1:02:57SPEAKER_02: I mean, in between calls, I can come down.
- 1:02:59SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm yeah, all the things I'm gonna get.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_04: And I, you know, it's funny because I like I there's nowhere in the world that I don't have my chroma with me.
- 1:03:06SPEAKER_04: Like, I would never start my day without a matcha.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_04: No, like with my without my matcha.
- 1:03:11SPEAKER_02: I I'm just thinking like all my flights that I'm on, and I'm like, it's so easy to ask for some hot water and then pour the bone broth in.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:03:18SPEAKER_04: And we're about we're gonna transition everything into stick packs, so it'll be even easier.
- 1:03:22SPEAKER_04: Like right now, we have the big sachets, but it's going into stick packs, and I'm redesigning the whole reset anyway.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_04: Of course, I got lots of goodies for you.
- 1:03:30SPEAKER_04: Oh my god, so good.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_02: Well, and I also feel like let's go back to my on, he already gave me five minutes, five minutes ago, so don't get mad at me.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_02: But I'm gonna talk about this before I go into the rabbit fire in the hot seat.
- 1:03:41SPEAKER_02: But I just think, you know, the world of entrepreneurship and having to pivot and wanting to pivot and like what does it look like?
- 1:03:47SPEAKER_02: You're so good at it.
- 1:03:49SPEAKER_02: And I'm doing it in my business a ton just because I'm the peptide world is so damn crazy.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_02: Um, but I feel what I'm excited about is like it's such a great time to partner and partner with different like-minded people that I said that I'm like 2026, I'm linking arms.
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_02: Like it's all I want to do is like be around like-minded women and women who build each other up.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_02: And I feel like you've really been like you've been like that for me.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_02: Because I I am ignorance is bliss, you know, and it is fun to have someone who's like, You're in the right place at the right time, go, you know, go, Stephanie, go.
- 1:04:18SPEAKER_02: And so I'm like, okay, I'm going.
- 1:04:20SPEAKER_02: And then you're also like, how are you doing this?
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_02: I live back.
- 1:04:22SPEAKER_02: I go back.
- 1:04:23SPEAKER_02: How are you doing this?
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I don't know, I don't know.
- 1:04:26SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, but it is fun just to to have real women, and I just wanted to say thank you for that because it has been a journey, you know, for me together a hundred years.
- 1:04:35SPEAKER_02: And being online is not always easy.
- 1:04:37SPEAKER_02: I've lost my big account again, and it was interesting because I've had some feedback from people and and my team, and and they're like, you know, your your energy's different.
- 1:04:49SPEAKER_02: And it was really hard for me to hear because I kind of took it personally, you know, and I'm like, and I'm like hired my coach again and being like, okay, why is my energy different?
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_02: And how do I not take that as something negative?
- 1:05:01SPEAKER_02: And it's like sometimes when you have to shine bright all the time, yeah, people expect you to show up even when you don't want to show up.
- 1:05:08SPEAKER_02: And like I think social media is a hard place for me because it's like I can't talk about on social media my business and my passion.
- 1:05:17SPEAKER_02: But they're like, you need to have a social media presence.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_02: So then you're out there and you feel like you're doing a horse and pony show half the time, or like, why am I here?
- 1:05:22SPEAKER_02: Or my, you know, and it's like I'm just trying to figure out sometimes like where where do where does it all make sense?
- 1:05:29SPEAKER_02: And like where am I really authentically true to me?
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_02: So I can have a spark almost all the time, you know.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_04: And it might be, and this is where I'm at, where it's like, yes, do I need to have more social media presence?
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_04: I do.
- 1:05:41SPEAKER_04: And you and I talked about substack.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_04: You're like, it's so easy.
- 1:05:44SPEAKER_04: And I my check in with myself is I uh I don't have more capacity right now.
- 1:05:48SPEAKER_04: The things that I'm focused right now need my full attention, and for me, and because it's also not something that social media that doesn't isn't a natural thing, like it's not something where I can't wait to like put the Phone up and start talking.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_04: I can't.
- 1:06:01SPEAKER_04: Now I look forward to the day when I have more mind space to do that.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_04: I know.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_04: So I can educate because I love, I do love that.
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_04: And I want to do it from a place that's super authentic, not because I have to.
- 1:06:11SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_04: Because it's something that I have to do.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_04: Oh my God, I have a message I want to talk about.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_04: And I can't wait for that.
- 1:06:16SPEAKER_04: But right now I don't have it because I am very protective of my time.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_04: I'm very protective of all the energy that I'm putting into this whole rebrand of Chroma, this repositioning to really support women through menopause, through how to get hundreds of grams of protein a day, through GLP1s, to empower women through their health.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_04: All that stuff that has I'm consumed, also just running a business, right?
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_04: And all and raising money and all the stuff.
- 1:06:41SPEAKER_04: And you have a love.
- 1:06:42SPEAKER_04: And I have a for the first time in my life, I have a deep, deep, deep love.
- 1:06:46SPEAKER_04: I've met my king.
- 1:06:47SPEAKER_04: I've met like waited 55 years for this.
- 1:06:50SPEAKER_04: Like, I want to be in love.
- 1:06:51SPEAKER_04: And so I'm really trying to say, like, how much can I take on?
- 1:06:55SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_04: And for me, social media is one of those where it's like, I should, and but not now.
- 1:07:03SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:07:03SPEAKER_04: And I want it to be something where it's like, yes, I just it went, and there's those times where you're like, oh my God, I can't wait to talk and share and whatever.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_04: I don't have that glow right now either.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:07:13SPEAKER_04: And I don't want to beat myself up for it, even though sometimes I do.
- 1:07:16SPEAKER_02: When, you know, I give I say this to people all the time, and I have a hard time saying it to myself.
- 1:07:20SPEAKER_02: Like, give yourself grace.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:07:22SPEAKER_02: You know, and I say it nonstop, but I I have a harder time giving myself grace.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_02: You know, I take it when and you know, you're not as sparkly.
- 1:07:32SPEAKER_02: Well, fuck.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_04: Like you try to be sparkly every single day.
- 1:07:35SPEAKER_04: But also what an opportunity to be like, oh, I guess I need a hug, I need a hug.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_04: Like, I need to hug me.
- 1:07:41SPEAKER_04: Like, what do I need if I'm not as sparkly?
- 1:07:44SPEAKER_04: And what it would happen if I just don't do so much.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_02: Well, and you know what's interesting is um not having my big social media again.
- 1:07:53SPEAKER_02: That's all my friends.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_02: Like my like mine, I'm on the loop right now, which is fine, but it's not my community.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_02: And yeah, in terms it is my my work community, which is great.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm growing I'm growing it because that's where I can show up.
- 1:08:05SPEAKER_02: But like I I don't endlessly scroll because it's like it I don't know a lot of people, right?
- 1:08:10SPEAKER_02: And it's been a really nice break.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_02: Like, I'll be honest, sometimes it's like 10, 11, 12 when I check my social media.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_02: I'm not, or I would wake up and check my social media and like almost like like you're saying, like a video game gameitize it.
- 1:08:25SPEAKER_02: Oh wow, I got this many more when I was building, I got this many more followers.
- 1:08:27SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I'm so disassociated with it.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 1:08:30SPEAKER_02: I think that's L.
- 1:08:31SPEAKER_02: And a girlfriend said to me the other day, she well, I mean, she was kind of encouraging me to get more in in, spend more time in my community.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_02: And it's hard for me with all, and I'm very, very protective of myself right now and my family and everything.
- 1:08:43SPEAKER_02: And so it's a delicate dance.
- 1:08:46SPEAKER_02: And then how much do I want to do it?
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_02: And she said to me, She's like, you know, I'm sure I mean you have a lot of social media friends.
- 1:08:53SPEAKER_02: And I just kind of sat back and I looked you and I smiled, and I'm like, I I really don't.
- 1:08:57SPEAKER_02: Like, and I don't like I I I'm not offended that you said that, but I think it's funny that you think.
- 1:09:04SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I actually don't spend much time on there, like, other than like doing what I need to do for work.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_02: And I'm actually, that is the one benefit of it going away.
- 1:09:11SPEAKER_02: And so, and when it does come back, because one day it will, like, we how does that play?
- 1:09:15SPEAKER_02: And I don't know.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm I'm a whole reevaluation, but that's for a glass of wine another time.
- 1:09:19SPEAKER_02: No, I think it's gonna make you in the hot seat because he's gonna kill me.
- 1:09:22SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's do it.
- 1:09:23SPEAKER_02: And I'll have you back.
- 1:09:24SPEAKER_02: We're gonna I'm gonna have you back on because I want to actually, when we get this like collab that we're gonna do together, we're gonna like scream it from the rafters.
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_02: Okay, and I'm gonna have you back.
- 1:09:32SPEAKER_02: And we can do a lot of I'm gonna have you part of loop health with my whole inside community, and they're gonna be obsessed.
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love it.
- 1:09:37SPEAKER_02: Okay, exactly.
- 1:09:38SPEAKER_02: All right, this is the fun part.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_02: And I think you don't know what I'm asking, which is even better.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_02: Okay, hopefully.
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_02: Lisa, go back and talk to your 20-year-old self.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_02: Like, what would you tell her?
- 1:09:51SPEAKER_04: I've what's coming up is like you're so supported.
- 1:09:58SPEAKER_04: And by that I mean I've had a story my whole life that I felt I was doing this alone because of my upbringing.
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_04: And I have to remind myself that I am not alone.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_04: I'm surrounded by amazing friends, I'm a m my like my community, my boyfriend, my things.
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_04: But life hasn't always been easy.
- 1:10:18SPEAKER_04: And that 20-year-old self was really alone and like I but I never was.
- 1:10:25SPEAKER_04: Like, and it was a story that just sort of kind of fed on itself.
- 1:10:28SPEAKER_04: So I think I would tell her she's not alone and how loved she was, um, even though I didn't know how to love me at the time.
- 1:10:35SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 1:10:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 1:10:38SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 1:10:39SPEAKER_02: All right.
- 1:10:39SPEAKER_02: What's I I know the answer to this one.
- 1:10:41SPEAKER_02: What's a daily non-negotiable for you?
- 1:10:43SPEAKER_02: Moving my body.
- 1:10:44SPEAKER_02: Do you know what's interesting?
- 1:10:45SPEAKER_02: I would say, CJ, wouldn't you agree?
- 1:10:48SPEAKER_02: That answers, I would say, like, I'd say seven out of ten.
- 1:10:52SPEAKER_02: Say movement, move your body.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:10:54SPEAKER_04: The other, yeah.
- 1:10:55SPEAKER_04: No, a hundred, it's just like in whatever, even if 10, 15 minutes, 20 minutes, like just move it.
- 1:11:00SPEAKER_04: Don't put up a zero.
- 1:11:01SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 1:11:02SPEAKER_02: Okay, and this one's more fun.
- 1:11:04SPEAKER_02: It's like, what's a guilty pleasure that's like not that guilty?
- 1:11:06SPEAKER_02: You know, like something that you just go, you know what, this is like like binge watching reality TV.
- 1:11:11SPEAKER_02: I'm saying it doesn't have to be like a food, whatever is like a thing, it just brings you joy, even though you're like, this is not necessarily in alignment with what you would think my healthiness would be mentally, physically, whatnot.
- 1:11:24SPEAKER_02: Why do I cannot think of one?
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_02: That's good.
- 1:11:27SPEAKER_02: It means you're probably giving yourself a lot of grace.
- 1:11:30SPEAKER_02: My guilty pleasure is just like snuckling with my boyfriend.
- 1:11:33SPEAKER_02: It probably doesn't feel that guilty.
- 1:11:34SPEAKER_04: It's like it's like someone might say it's tequila, but you're like, well, I don't feel guilty.
- 1:11:37SPEAKER_04: Well, I don't feel guilty with tequila.
- 1:11:39SPEAKER_04: I think that I had to learn in this relationship to just settle in.
- 1:11:44SPEAKER_04: My nervous system had to learn how to be with a man who could really show up for me and to feel safe and just settle in.
- 1:11:52SPEAKER_04: So it feels like a guilty pleasure still in like to just cuddle, like to not get up on a Sunday morning and rush out the door to do.
- 1:12:00SPEAKER_04: My whole life has been about doing.
- 1:12:01SPEAKER_04: You can just be.
- 1:12:02SPEAKER_04: And so I'm really learning how to literally just like what if you did stay in bed all day?
- 1:12:08SPEAKER_04: Like, I'm not there yet.
- 1:12:10SPEAKER_04: I'm not there yet.
- 1:12:10SPEAKER_04: Call me when you do, because I want to.
- 1:12:12SPEAKER_04: But like, wow, people do this, right?
- 1:12:14SPEAKER_04: Okay, like that is I'm working towards it.
- 1:12:17SPEAKER_04: Like, what if I stay in bed, you know, and we or what if we go jump in bed in the middle of the afternoon just because, right?
- 1:12:23SPEAKER_04: Like that's for me, and just take a nap.
- 1:12:25SPEAKER_04: Like, that feels like the guilty pleasure that I never allowed myself to do.
- 1:12:28SPEAKER_02: I love that actually could be mine.
- 1:12:30SPEAKER_02: I think it's a good one.
- 1:12:31SPEAKER_04: Ah, I love that.
- 1:12:32SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 1:12:33SPEAKER_02: All right, what are each other?
- 1:12:34SPEAKER_02: What's your favorite peptide?
- 1:12:37SPEAKER_04: I I mean, I love the GHK, but I think God, but BPC is so BPC is so I mean, even like with my boyfriend, he was so anti-peptides.
- 1:12:50SPEAKER_04: My God, he's so left brain.
- 1:12:51SPEAKER_04: And then I finally got him on it, and I was like, Well, you're not having your surgery on your knee anytime soon because he's raising a bunch of money for his company.
- 1:12:58SPEAKER_04: I was like, Well, you just try it.
- 1:13:00SPEAKER_04: Like, just stop with the left brain stuff.
- 1:13:02SPEAKER_04: And like, here's all the clinical studies like the BBC, the Wolverine Stack.
- 1:13:07SPEAKER_04: And in one week, he is hiking again.
- 1:13:11SPEAKER_04: I haven't been able to hike with him or do any activities in one in one week, and now he tells all his friends his inflammation is totally down, his body doesn't hurt anymore.
- 1:13:20SPEAKER_04: And like he can handle the travel, I'm sure now.
- 1:13:23SPEAKER_04: And like he raised the money, he can do it all.
- 1:13:25SPEAKER_04: He asked me one day at a hike and he said, How much does your body hurt every day?
- 1:13:28SPEAKER_04: And I looked at him, I was like, It doesn't.
- 1:13:31SPEAKER_04: He's like, What do you mean?
- 1:13:32SPEAKER_04: And then I realized because of the peptides with BPC.
- 1:13:36SPEAKER_04: Now, in the times when I go take the month off, yeah.
- 1:13:38SPEAKER_04: Oh, you feel it?
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_04: I feel it.
- 1:13:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, isn't that crazy?
- 1:13:40SPEAKER_04: It's crazy.
- 1:13:41SPEAKER_04: So um they all are great for different reasons, but I'd probably say that one just because I think it's such almost an immediate response.
- 1:13:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 1:13:48SPEAKER_04: And um, and I miss it when I don't have it.
- 1:13:50SPEAKER_04: I love that.
- 1:13:51SPEAKER_02: So I often say that too to people.
- 1:13:53SPEAKER_02: I'll say, like, it with BPC, if they don't, like usually you notice it right away, but if they don't, they notice it when they go off of it and they go, Oh my god, from my gut health, my inflammation, my water retention, my soreness, like all of it.
- 1:14:04SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 1:14:05SPEAKER_04: I haven't had mine for a week and I miss it.
- 1:14:06SPEAKER_02: It's time.
- 1:14:07SPEAKER_02: Okay, and your the last question is like, and I think I'm gonna tie it into chroma.
- 1:14:11SPEAKER_02: Like, where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
- 1:14:13SPEAKER_02: Playing.
- 1:14:14SPEAKER_02: Absolutely playing.
- 1:14:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think I will bring chroma to life and really my next chapter is to really, really, really get the right partners behind us so we can get in front of more people and help more people.
- 1:14:29SPEAKER_04: Um, and then there will be a point where it's time to pass it off and let them do what they can do with and it'll be time for me to play.
- 1:14:36SPEAKER_04: Because I have been churning and burning my entire life.
- 1:14:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and I see, I see that I'm excited to play, and you know, I think I'll do a lot of stuff with women and and hopefully inspire in new ways.
- 1:14:48SPEAKER_04: Um, but it's time to also like wake up and be bored.
- 1:14:50SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 1:14:51SPEAKER_04: I don't even know what that means.
- 1:14:52SPEAKER_02: Lay in bed all day.
- 1:14:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:14:54SPEAKER_02: Well, I see that for you.
- 1:14:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they do.
- 1:14:55SPEAKER_02: I think this is me in the next next chapter.
- 1:14:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:14:58SPEAKER_02: And when we come back and be like, remember you manifested that on this couch?
- 1:15:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:15:01SPEAKER_02: On these chairs.
- 1:15:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:15:03SPEAKER_02: Oh, I loved having you.
- 1:15:04SPEAKER_02: I don't want this to.
