- 0:00SPEAKER_00: You're listening to Quick Wins for ADHD moms.
- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Hey, I'm Jessica Lynn Lewis.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: The last two episodes, we have had the wonderful Leah Carroll join us.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: I hope you've been learning so much from her.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: I know I have.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: And because the last episode was so long, we decided to split that up so that we keep it at 20-minute episodes.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: So this actually is the second part of the last episode, and we're just going to jump right in.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: And like I said, when you kind of wake up and you can do any of them, and maybe they all are genuinely the same priority.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: None of them have a real deadline.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Um, nobody's really waiting on it, then you can go into this spiral of decision paralysis.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: I just don't know which one to choose.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: They've all got about 10 steps.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: They're all overwhelming me.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna kind of uh do something else that's easy.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: That could be cleaning your house, which is great because that needs to be done.
- 0:59SPEAKER_00: But I find too that I process things like, okay, I'm just gonna go put the laundry in or fold laundry.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: And as I'm folding laundry, I'm able to process, like slow down and process.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, I know what I need to do now.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: I need to do, I need to work on this.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: This can wait.
- 1:14unknown: Yeah.
- 1:15unknown: Yeah.
- 1:16SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times we will go to things like that.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: Like I find myself, and I'm not like, I don't like, I'm not one of those people that I'm like, I love cleaning.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: It brings me calm.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: I'm not one of those people, but I find myself going towards those tasks because I know exactly how to do them.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: There's no that's why.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there's no, um, what's the word?
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Ambiguity?
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: I can never say it.
- 1:40SPEAKER_01: Ambiguity.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: Um, there is none of that in folding laundry.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: You know exactly how to do it, right?
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Even though you don't really want to do it, it's straightforward.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: Same thing, like literally.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: It's not a heavy thinking task.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: So I find that when I'm folding laundry, I don't really realize I'm folding laundry because my brain is I have it all to myself.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Now that was hard when I had the kids at home because you never have your brain to yourself.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: And that's a whole other episode of Yeah, exactly.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Um, exactly.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Everything rattling around and yeah, all of that kind of stuff.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Which is another reason if you've got small kids at home, this is such a um, it gives you an anchor point.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: So throughout your day, when you're like, I don't even know, you're like, oh, I did this last night.
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: This is my gift.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: This is a future gift.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: And when you think about it in that way, it feels like a favor, not a demand.
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: And that's a really big, we talked about this in last week's episode as well.
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: That's a really big differentiator for us.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: A lot of us struggle even slightly with demand avoidance.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Most people do, um, which is again, it's just is what it is.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Um but how can I reframe this of like, oh, I'm gonna feel really good if I do this.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: This is really gonna help me get my morning off to just 1% better.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: And then 1% leads to 2%, 2% leads to 5%, 5%, right?
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: Like that's that's kind of how those um how those go.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: This also, we talked about this, it reduces, reduces decision fatigue plus chaos first thing in the morning.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: You don't have to decide what the kid's gonna wear.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: You don't have to decide what you're gonna wear.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: You've already decided, it's already there.
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 3:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: We only have so much capacity, or if you know, if you're familiar with the spoons theory, we only have so many spoons and everything we do.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: I just read that the other day and I was telling my daughter about it.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Yes, I was explaining it to her.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: The spoon theory.
- 3:38unknown: Yeah.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: I can't.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so go ahead and explain that just really quick.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Well, the spoon theory, I don't really think I the way that I look at it, um, my brain kind of computes it better in money, right?
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: So you've got a hundred one dollar bills.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Everything you do throughout your day costs some money.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: So picking out what you're gonna wear in the morning costs three dollars.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Picking out what your kids are gonna wear costs$2 each.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: Deciding what you're going to wear or what you're going to eat for breakfast,$5.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: Deciding what you need to get from the grocery,$10.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Deciding what you're going to cook for dinner, another$7.
- 4:16SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Um, so by noon, you're like$50 spent.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: And some of these things, depending on, I mean, where are you in your cycle?
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Maybe you're starting at only$70 huge.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: Maybe only maybe you've only got$70 today.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe you've got 30.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: I've got five.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Waking up with five bucks to see how far we can get this.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: We're balling on a budget today, ladies.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: Um, going to Salvation Army with our five bucks.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: Exactly, exactly.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: The the dollar menu.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: Um, but really kind of thinking about all of these little things.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: And I know specifically the mental load of mothers is really high.
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: And things that you're not even thinking about, like we talked about where are the coats?
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: Oh, it's it's spirit day today, right?
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: These are all little things.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Spirit day drives me nuts.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: As a mom, spirit day is like, I know this is supposed to be fun, but my child wants this specific thing and we can't find it.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: And it was in the toy box, but we don't know where it is now.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: And we looked all last night so we could be prepared, but it's not there.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: And but he has to have it because it's Spirit Day.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: And this is something to keep in mind as well, and we're kind of rabbit holing here.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: If you know Spirit Week is coming up, your Sunday.
- 5:41SPEAKER_01: I have a um, I have a a membership community, and we have a um can I can I say a small cuss word on this show?
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: Am I allowed to sure go ahead, go for it.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: We have get your shit together Sundays.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: So um it is, yeah, everybody gets on, everybody we turn off the mics, everybody looks at their calendar, and we get our shit together for the week.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: And that could be a really great thing for you if you know it's spirit week.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: Take a few minutes on Sunday.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: All right, guys, this is what we go and got going on.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Monday's this, Tuesday's this.
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: What do we need?
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: Who's gonna, all right, y'all are big enough, go find your stuff.
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: If you need my help, let me know.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: But you know, however that works for you.
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: But um, be as preemptive with it as you as you can.
- 6:24SPEAKER_01: I normally say only do the night before because doing a whole week leaves too much room for something to get thrown off, and then we go into all or nothing black and white.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: Well, now everything's gone to, you know, gone to pot.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: Um, but in that case, it makes sense.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: Look at the whole week.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: What do we need to find?
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: What do we need to do?
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: And it won't always happen.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: It's fine.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Again, that's okay.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: We're gonna roll with it.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: These are just fail-safes to kind of try to to put um put those things in place.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: So um another reason this is really great is it builds self-trust.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Self-trust is really important for us.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: We struggle with it a lot as ADHDers.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: We do.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: Um, because of a multitude of things.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: We have struggled to trust ourselves or making the right decision.
- 7:10SPEAKER_01: Is this should I have said that?
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: Should I not have said that?
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: Should I have done it this way?
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: Should I have done it that way?
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: That's not how my mom did it.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: You know, all of those things that are that are super fun.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: The over yes, the overthinking and the I've messed up before a lot.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: And now I realize it's my brain, but also it is my responsibility to follow through.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: But but how do I follow through?
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: So like all your past coming together and overthinking.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:36unknown: Yeah.
- 7:36SPEAKER_01: So setting up these little nightly check-ins, and again, maybe it doesn't happen Sunday to Thursday.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: Maybe it only happens twice a week or twice this week, three times next week.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: That is still showing up.
- 7:49SPEAKER_01: That is what we talked about last week.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: That is persistence.
- 7:52SPEAKER_01: That's what it looks like.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: Um I think you have visually blocking that time off.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Like you have Sundays.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: We're gonna get our stuff together on Sundays together, together.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: I like the community part of that too.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: It's great.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: Um, because you take time to do that.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Because I for I forget, honestly, I forget to carve out time.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, this is on the calendar.
- 8:18SPEAKER_01: You get a reminder, it's all the things, and it doesn't take a lot of time.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: Pop on, take a quick look at the calendar.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's really helpful.
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: Um that made me think of, and this is a whole other episode that we could do of like honoring your capacity.
- 8:32SPEAKER_01: So we were talking about like t today I woke up and I got five bucks.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: So if you've got five bucks and you give five bucks, then you've given a hundred percent.
- 8:41unknown: Yeah.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: And to what?
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: To what did you give that hundred percent to?
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Like, does it connect with what you value?
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: Like, do you sometimes sometimes it sometimes you don't have the bandwidth to to connect the dots, like right?
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: You've got to like, well, this is I don't want to go to this parent teacher conference, but I have to do that.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: Or I told this friend that I would meet her and I really don't want to, but she's going through a really bad divorce.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: So I'm going to have a a you know, a flexible boundary here, and I'm gonna go ahead and meet her, even though I'm I'm running on zero.
- 9:15unknown: Yeah.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: So just reminding yourself of giving a hundred percent when you've only got 50% to give will leave you at a deficit of 50%.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: And if you keep putting yourself in a deficit, you will burn out and you will be exhausted and it will be a whole thing.
- 9:33SPEAKER_01: So we've got to, and that's again, that's easier said than done.
- 9:36SPEAKER_01: This is very um, I'm kind of presenting it in a black and white manner, and it's definitely not, but just trying to be right, it's very nuanced, but it's helpful to see it that way.
- 9:45unknown: Yeah.
- 9:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, as well.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: Definitely.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: So so like I said, building that self-trust every time you do one of these nightly brain dumps, this kind of nightly prep, um, your brain learns like, oh my gosh, I can rely on myself.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: This is great.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: I love this.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it feels really good.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: And it works.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: It works.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: It's got the hit of dopamine.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: I will do it again.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 10:09SPEAKER_01: Another, and this is kind of same, same, but different.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: So again, I live here, and whenever I fly out, I have to take really early um trains and flights and blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: And I cannot tell you how many times I have pushed that to like, well, I could take the 5 a.m.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: train, but I could get away with taking the 7 a.m.
- 10:28SPEAKER_01: train.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: So I'm just gonna take the 7 a.m.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: train.
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: And I've almost missed my flight so many times.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: And I have decided my new rule is you take the first train out of town and it's at 4 45 in the morning.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: And I, I mean, unless my flight's at like 3 p.m., which it never is, it's always an early, it's always an early morning flight.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: It does not matter you take the first train out because German trains are historically unreliable.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: You will get, you will miss a train.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Something will get delayed, and you will be in a full-blown panic that you're gonna miss that flight.
- 11:00SPEAKER_01: And it's just not worth it.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: It is not worth the cortisol.
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: So now I plan.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: I'm taking that first 445 train.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: And I now I'm like, easy breezy.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: I don't care.
- 11:12SPEAKER_01: Miss a train, grab a coffee.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: I don't care because now I've about four hours to get to the airport.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: And you've replaced it with now you have this time.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: It's like this gift of time that you gave yourself.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: It's the gift of time.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: It's the gift when we were talking, we were talking about the beginning, that gift of calm.
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: Um, I mean, it's travel day, so I'm only as calm as that will allow.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: But um, there is a, oh my gosh, I gave myself this gift.
- 11:36SPEAKER_01: Yes, it sucked.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: I do not like getting up at four in the morning so that I could be ready and at the train station at 4 45.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: I don't like that.
- 11:43SPEAKER_01: And that's okay.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: Because I can do things I don't like in order to get to where I want to be.
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: Like, literally.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: I like I can do things I don't like in order to get to where I really want to be.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: Um, Glenn and Doyle, we can do hard things.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: Who's the other one?
- 12:00SPEAKER_01: We can do hard things.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: So um, we tell our kids that all the time.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: Mm-hmm.
- 12:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we can do hard things.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: We can too.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Um, and they don't have to be perfect, they don't have to be precious, they don't have to be every single day.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: They just have to, and these are just things to add to your toolbox, right?
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: You don't have to do this all the time.
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: You're on vacation, throw it out the window.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: You're on vacation and it still feels good, do it.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: You can you can decide to do all that.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: You have you have the choice.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I love that.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: That pause, that reflection, taking a beat.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: Okay, wait, what's gonna what's gonna help me feel?
- 12:38SPEAKER_01: How do I want to feel?
- 12:39SPEAKER_01: What actions align with that feeling?
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: And that, I mean, just right there, if that's all you do today is figure that out, think about think about the next year, how that could totally change your year or how it could totally change your next month.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: Just taking that time to think ahead and prepare yourself for that next morning.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: Um, and tying it back to last episode, too, those micro things that you can do to habit stack.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: So I love how all of that really comes together the evening before and the morning, the micro habit stacking.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: So um, you know, maybe this is like a a small plug for the for the podcast, but maybe you put the kids in bed and you listen to an episode of this podcast as you're laying out your clothes and filling up your water bottle and you know, throwing something together that you could take to the office for lunch tomorrow, or you know, whatever it is, because most of your episodes are 20 minutes, something like that.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: So on purpose, yeah.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 13:42SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: So use that as the dopamine hit of like, ooh, I'm gonna listen to the podcast because that's exciting and I like it.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Because I get ideas.
- 13:51SPEAKER_01: This is this is a whole different thing.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: Dopamine stacking.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: So the pod gives you dopamine, the other things not so much.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: So we stack them so that we can do the thing that gives us dopamine with the thing that doesn't really give us so much.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: But then that way in the morning, you've woken up, you've got your water bottle, you've got your work bag packed, you've got, you know, something to take for a snack, whatever it is.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: So so yeah.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: All kinds of things.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: I love it.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: And start small.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: All kinds of things.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: You don't have to, you know, revamp your whole night.
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: Start with one small thing that would help.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: Would it be good to just, I'm just gonna go ahead and fill up the kids' water bottles?
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: We'll start there.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: See how that goes.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: Just take one thing off my plate in the morning.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's all.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Now, Leah, you work with a lot of ADHD women, a lot of moms.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Um, and I know everybody is so different.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: And so can you really quickly just say, what are what is one of the advantages of working with an ADHD coach?
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: Kind of goes back to what you were saying.
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: It really allows you to carve out that time for yourself.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: And it allows a third party or a second party, the coach, to ask you those questions that you don't really take the time, you know, like you were saying, what how do I want to feel in the morning?
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 15:08SPEAKER_01: I just want to feel like not so crazy.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, yeah, let's take a minute.
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: What does that mean?
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Where is the craziness?
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: Well, we can never find shoes.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 15:18unknown: Okay.
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: How?
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: What's something that we can can we do about that?
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Is there, you know, a way that um when you get home, like I said, there is you've you've put something on your Google Maps that it knows when you pull in the driveway to send you a thing that says put shoes, you know, in the mud room, whatever it is.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: Ask the kids to help.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: Hey guys, mom's having a moment.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: Can you guys remind me to take my shoes off when we get in the house and put them in the mud room?
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: That would be so helpful.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: Do you think you all could do that?
- 15:46SPEAKER_01: They might not.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: But having that conversation, saying it out loud, bringing them into the fold, especially depending on how old they are, they might.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: So it allows you to come up with things that you haven't really thought of yourself because questions have been asked in a different way, and then solutions are presented in a lighter way.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: Again, these are at least the way my coaching works, these are options.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: You don't have to do a single thing that I have said, but you could try it.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: We can experiment with some things and see how it feels.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: Try it on, keep it if it fits.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: So I think the the the biggest benefit is it allows for that pause that we struggle to take for various reasons because we're too busy, we've got kids, we've got jobs, we've got friends, we've got all the things.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: But then also sometimes we just don't know the questions to ask.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: And that's not a that's not a bad thing.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: It just, you know, we're too, we're too close to the, what is it?
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: You're um too close to the trees to see the forest, something like that.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: That makes sense.
- 16:51SPEAKER_01: Too close.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: So you're you're too close to it.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: It's it's it's you, right?
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: And so you can't see the whole thing.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: You can't see the whole picture because it's hard to zoom out and see it.
- 17:01unknown: Yeah.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: When you are overwhelmed, you just you're just you're done.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: You can't think.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: So awesome.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Well, if somebody wanted to work with you, wanted to know more about you, interested in these Sundays, um, what where can they find you?
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: So you can pop over to Instagram.
- 17:18SPEAKER_01: That is definitely the most um social media that that's the most um active platform that I participate in.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: I am not a huge social media girly, so you want to see a ton there.
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: But um it is still the the place that um I show up the most.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: So that's gonna be at adhd.coach.lea.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: There's all kinds of links there.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: You can get to my website, you can book a free 45-minute coaching call, no strings attached.

- 18:01SPEAKER_00: That's that.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 18:03SPEAKER_00: Wonderful.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: I just, you know, everybody is in such a different season of life, and it's nice just to make all of these connections to let us know like we're not the only ones who've who are going through this and who are dealing with it.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: And and you just seem so put together and you know what you're doing.
- 18:19SPEAKER_00: And I know I'm sure that's not always been the story if you've had ADHD.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: But but what I see is someone who like I see like a bodybuilder, you know?
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: Like, yeah.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: You're you've you've you've habit stacked and you've put all these things together, and you took all of these micro steps, and you're you've built this thing that's working for you.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of us want that.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: And so it's nice to be able to look and see, okay, here are the small little micro steps so I can get there.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: I think I really want people to know it's possible.
- 18:53SPEAKER_01: It's just because, yeah, just because it's always been a way doesn't mean it has to stay that way.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: It is possible to make these small changes and to make things stick.
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: And like you were saying, you are not alone at all.
- 19:05SPEAKER_01: And you don't have to go at it alone anymore.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: Um, I think a lot of us try that and it's hard.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: So it is.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: So all right.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Thank you again, Leah, for being on the show.
