- 0:02SPEAKER_00: The one who makes everything okay and has no idea what to do when she can't.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: For instance, someone is struggling.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: A friend, a partner, a colleague, or a child, they bring it to you maybe directly.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: Maybe just by being visible.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Something's off, but something activates within you immediately before they've finished the sentence.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Before you've even fully understood what's happening, your mind starts moving.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: What is the solution?
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: What resources do they need?
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: What do I know about this and what can I do?
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: How do I fix this?
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: And it feels from the inside like love, like care, like being genuinely useful to the people that you love and care about.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: Which is why it's so confusing when the person you're trying to help says, I don't need you to fix it.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: I just need you to be here to listen.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: And you don't quite know what to do with that.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Because being here, just being present without a solution or an action, without moving towards resolution, it feels like doing nothing.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: And doing nothing feels dangerous.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Not rationally dangerous, not in a way you can point to or explain.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Just a low-grade urgency that sits in the chest and says, there is a problem not yet solved, and something needs to happen.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Even when the problem is not yours to solve, even when the solution it's not being asked for, even when the most loving thing available in the moment is your presence, not your productivity.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: But the fixing isn't the problem, and it never was.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: It is a subconscious program.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: A protection strategy, so well developed and socially rewarded, so completely woven into your identity that it doesn't register as a pattern.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: It registers as who you are.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: I'm just someone who likes to help.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: I'm a problem solver.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: All of which may be completely true, but underneath a part is running a much older calculation about what happens when problems don't get solved.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: And today we're going to go directly to that.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: The subconscious programs the fixer is running, where they came from, and what the internal family systems map of the parts involved, what it actually takes to update the program so that presence becomes available more than solutions.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: And as always, we'll end with a practice, a gentle experience of meeting this part of you underneath the fixing, but the one thing the fixer rarely allows herself, which is stillness.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: The subconscious programs that the fixer is running.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: The fixer is one of the most socially celebrated patterns in this entire series.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: She is competent, resourceful, reliable.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: She's needed.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: She's the person everyone calls in a crisis.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: She's good at what she does.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Very, very good at it.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: But underneath the competence is a set of subconscious programs that has nothing to do with helpfulness and everything to do with survival.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: And let me name them directly.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: Notice which ones of these land in your body, not just in your mind.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: If I can fix it, I don't have to feel it.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: This is the most foundational program the fixer is running, and the one most likely to catch you off guard when you hear it, because it reframes the fixing not as care directed outward, but as protection directed inward.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: When someone brings their pain into the room, two things become possible.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: The first is to be present with it and to let it land, to just be present and feel the weight of it, to sit with someone in their difficulty without moving towards resolution.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: And then the second is to move immediately into solution mode.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: The fixer does the second.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: Because feeling it, really feeling letting someone else's pain land in her body, staying with there, it activates something.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: It activates a helplessness, the sense of sitting with someone that cannot immediately be made better.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: And that feeling for the fixer is one of the most intolerable in the system.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: So the system moves into action, into solutions, into the part of the experience where she's competent and useful, and not just sitting with something she cannot fix.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Because helplessness is not safe.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: This is the program, the direct driver of the urgency, the low grade activation in the chest when a problem isn't yet solved, when someone's in pain and the path to resolution isn't clear, when the circumstances are outside of her control and there's nothing actionable to move toward.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: For the fixer, helplessness isn't just uncomfortable.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: It is at the subconscious level a threat.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: Her nervous system learned early in a specific context that we'll get to that situations where she couldn't do anything were genuinely dangerous.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Or being helpless meant something bad happened that she couldn't prevent.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: This is the program that makes the fixer so indispensable and so quietly unseen.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Because when your value is located in your usefulness, you become extraordinary at being useful.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: And people come to rely on that usefulness.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: And the reliance feels like love, then sometimes it is love.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: It is also not the same as being loved for the ordinary, unproductive, not currently solving anything version of yourself.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: Who am I when I'm not needed?
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: The fixer is often deeply genuinely loved, and she often has a nagging, persistent sense that the love is for what she does rather than who she is.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: That if she stopped being useful, if she needed something, if she struggled visibly, if she brought her own pain into the room without also having a plan for addressing it, the terms of the connection might shift.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: This program often runs alongside people pleasing, alongside the perfectionist, the imposter syndrome.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: They share the same exile underneath.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: And remember that the exile is the part that carries the wound.
- 8:13SPEAKER_00: It is who the protectors protect.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: So in this situation, the fixer is the manager-protector part of the exile.
- 8:24SPEAKER_00: If I don't fix it, something bad will happen and it'll be my fault.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: This is the program that carries the weight of responsibility, the particular quality of heaviness that the fixer feels when something goes wrong in the life of someone she loves, even when she had no power over it, even when it was never hers to fix.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: The guilt, the replaying of what she could have done differently.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: The sense that if she had just seen it sooner or acted faster, found the right resource, this could have been prevented.
- 8:58SPEAKER_00: That her failure to fix it is in some meaningful way her failure.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: But this program is running very old logic.
- 9:10SPEAKER_00: One that was installed in a context where the child within you was fixing.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: Her management of the emotional environment around her, her reading of the room and anticipating the needs, and some mooting, difficult situations actually did prevent bad things from happening.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: And when her confidence and attentiveness were real factors in the safety of the system she was in, fixing earned her love and acceptance.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: And I'm just using the pronoun her.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Obviously, it could be anyone, he, you, they.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: The adult is still running that logic, still treating her ability to fix as the variable that determines outcomes in her relationships, still carrying the weight of responsibility for things that are not hers to carry.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: Because the subconscious hasn't received the update that she's no longer the child who keeps things together by managing everything around her.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: Where do these programs come from?
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: What is the developmental origin?
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: The fixer almost always developed in response to an environment where she needed to attune to others to gauge her safety.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: She had to read the room, anticipate needs, manage emotional dynamics, move towards resolution, to gauge her own safety, to create her own safety.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: Sometimes this is explicit.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: A child who grew up in a home where one or both parents were emotionally dysregulated, where the emotional temperature of the household was unpredictable, where conflict was frightening, where a parent's mood determined the safety of the environment.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: And so the child learned to track that mood with extraordinary precision, to see it coming, to do something, anything, to smooth it before it escalated, to become good at managing the emotional environment that she began to feel responsible for.
- 11:17SPEAKER_00: And this is what internal family systems literature, IFS, sometimes called, sometimes calls the parentified child.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: More specifically, the child who developed an adult level of emotional attentiveness and management in a context where the adults in the room were not fully resourced to hold their own emotional experience.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: So the child stepped in.
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: The child's fixing worked.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: It reduced threat, it produced safety.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: It was not the wrong strategy for the context that generated it.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: The problem is that the context no longer exists, and the strategy is still running in every relationship, in every moment of someone else's pain, in every situation where the most honest and loving thing available would be to sit with the helplessness, to be present without moving.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: But the system hasn't learned to let you.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: In internal family systems, the fixer is a manager, a specific kind of manager, one that runs a proactive, forward-moving, solution-oriented protection strategy designed to prevent the system from ever having to rest in helplessness.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: She is extraordinarily competent.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: She's been running this strategy for a very long time, and she knows how to assess the situation quickly, generate options, mobilize resources, create movement towards resolution.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: She's often the person other people turn to in crisis.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: Not just in her personal life, but professionally, socially, in every context where her particular form of competence is visible.
- 13:26SPEAKER_00: And she has a very specific, specific set of things she's protecting the system from.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: The exile underneath, the part carrying the wound of helplessness, the younger part who was in a situation where something needed to be okay and she couldn't make it okay, where her best efforts were not enough, where the fixing didn't work, and something happened anyway.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: That experience of being without a solution in a situation where not having a solution had real consequences.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: And so it was encoded as intolerable.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: And the fixer manager has been running ever since to make sure the system never has to feel that again.
- 14:18SPEAKER_00: The second is the feeling of being ordinary, of not being needed, of being in a relationship where she's loved for her presence rather than her usefulness.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: And not knowing what to do with that, not trusting that it's real, not knowing who she is in it.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: So the fixer keeps her in her role.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: The role keeps her connected.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: But what the fixer part of you needs is you and your self energy.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: The calm, grounded, curious, unafraid presence at the core of who you are.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: The fixer needs to know it's not alone.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: And when the fixer manager feels self energy from you, when she senses that something capable and steady is here, that she doesn't need the forward movement to be okay, she can begin to step back.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: Not because she's been convinced she's unnecessary, because she can feel that the system doesn't need her to run so hard right now.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: That something else is providing safety and care.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: And that is what self can offer.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: Not a solution, not a path to resolution, just presence.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: The felt experience of sitting with what cannot be fixed, and discovering that the system does not fall apart.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: That discovery, that specific embodied felt experience is the beginning of the end, the fixing as a survival strategy.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: In IFS, IFS opens access to the exile.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: It opens access to the wounded, lets the protector part start to relax, to rest, to give you space.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: A reminder: the exile is the wounded part, that the manager part in this case, the fixer is protecting.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: And when the fixer manager trusts self enough to step back, when the part carrying the wound of helplessness can be reached and witnessed, when she's finally met in her not knowing and her not fixing with something that is steady and unafraid, the belief she's been carrying can begin to loosen.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: But the subconscious programs, like helplessness is not safe.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: My value is what I in what I do.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: If I don't fix something, something bad will happen.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: It'll be my fault.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: These get encoded neurologically and they need to be updated at that same level.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: Psych creates a whole brain state.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: Psych K is the subconscious process I was trained in.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: It is incredibly simple, conscious, quick, direct, gentle.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: This is when both hemispheres of the brain are in optimal communication, and there is a lot of documentation by EEG research.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: In this state, the subconscious becomes receptive in a way that ordinary waking consciousness cannot reach.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: The new belief can reach the level where the old programmer was written, not as an affirmation or an intention or the conscious mind, which only creates 5% of your life, but as a genuine neurological update at the subconscious level, the place where 95% of your life is created.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: The beliefs we create with a psyche process for the fixer part might be it is safe to be still.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: It is safe for me to just listen and be present.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: My presence is enough.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: I am loved for who I am.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: It is safe to allow others their own experience and still be loved.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: In ordinary waking consciousness, those statements can feel aspirational and hollow in the same breath because the subconscious is still running the opposite program underneath.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: In a whole brain state that we get to in the process of psych, we get to open up to the place where those imprints and those programs were created.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: What happens is daily life changes.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: The urgency in the chest when a problem isn't yet solved begins to have a different quality.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Like less threat, more like information.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: The automatic pivot and dissolution mode has a pause, a fraction of the beat where presence becomes possible before fixing begins.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: Or the guilt when something goes wrong that you couldn't prevent, it's shallower and shorter.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Because the program running this was yours to fix no longer has charge or urgency.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: The best part is that something opens in relationships, because the fixer can be present without immediately moving towards a resolution, where she can sit with someone in their pain without the discomfort of doing, so driving her immediately into action.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: The quality of connection that becomes available is different.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: It's deeper, it's more mutual, it's clearer, it's healthier, it's less organized around her usefulness and more organized around her actual presence.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Which is what the exile underneath has always wanted.
- 20:37SPEAKER_00: Not to be more useful, to be met, but to be in relationships where her ordinary, not currently fixing self is enough.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: To discover in the body, not just the mind, that stillness is not the same as abandonment, that presence is not the same as doing nothing, that she can sit with which cannot be solved and remain completely safe.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: The fixer is not a flaw.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: She's one of the most beautiful and costly things in a human being, a system of extraordinary attunement and competence built from a real experience and a real environment, organized around a genuine and understandable fear.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: But she was never supposed to run that alone.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: She was supposed to have self alongside her, the part of the system that can be still, that can be present, and can sit with what cannot be fixed, without that sitting being a failure.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: The discovery that she's enough.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: Not when the problem is solved, not when everyone Around her is okay right now, and she is present, still not fixing anything.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: That has always been enough.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: The work is just helping her nervous system, her subconscious programming, and the part of her that fixes as a survival strategy.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: Finally, no, she's always been more than enough.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: If you want to begin understanding which programs are most alive in your system right now, the free workbook on my website, Krishnaavalon.com, has specific exercises designed to help you see exactly what's underneath and what it's been costing you.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: And if you're ready to go directly to the root, I have a free 15-minute consultation also at my website.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: And now let's close with our practice.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Find a comfortable position, close your eyes, and let's start to go inward.
- 23:18SPEAKER_00: Taking a couple of deep slow breaths.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: And I have as we really slow it down.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: We make space to be present and to witness what is in the room right now, inside our systems.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: And you could put a hand on your heart if that feels good.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: Couple more deep breaths.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: What we're gonna do is we're gonna practice connecting to self-energy.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: Notice if you can bring some awareness to your chest and to your heart.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: Notice if you can feel some kind of openness or curiosity there for what you've just learned and for what is here right now within your own self and your system.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: And take a couple breaths into your heart.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: Feel the energy within you that is open, has presence, curiosity.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: Take a couple breaths into this energy within yourself.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: Self is truly the God that flows within you, it is always available to you, and this is your practice of connecting with that.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: Slow deep breaths, feeling your heart, feeling your presence, openness and curiosity.
- 25:29SPEAKER_00: From here, notice what else might be happening in your system.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Maybe what got activated listening to this episode the fixer.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: Where does that part of you live?
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: Within your body or around you?
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: And it's okay if you don't get an answer right away.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's not the fixer right now.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: It might be tension in your jaw.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: Or your neck.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: Could be your busy thoughts.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: It's okay.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Just stay with your breath.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: Stay with that presence in your heart.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: And find some place to extend this curiosity.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: Your self-energy.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: For me, the fixer often lives in my head.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: The solutionizer.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: What can I do?
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: What can I do?
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: What can I fix?
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: What can I solve?
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna extend my presence, care, compassion, curiosity, openness towards this part of me.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: I invite you to do the same.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: What you're doing is you are practicing presence.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: You're practicing noticing where the fixer part of you lives.
- 27:19SPEAKER_00: And then you're staying with that.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: This alone is enough because you are connecting to yourself energy.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: You are noticing the fixer within you.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: You're also noticing where the fixer lives in your system.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: The body often holds the parts of us.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: Body holds our stories.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: The body gives us information.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: If we know how to inquire, it always tells us everything we need to know.
- 27:58SPEAKER_00: Extending that heart energy, openness, curiosity, presence to the fixer part of you, wherever it lives within your system, just extending it.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: You're letting this part of you know, hey, I'm right here with you.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: I see you.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: And then ask it.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: Is it okay if I sit here for a moment and just get to know you?
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: Then you'll typically get a very clear yes or no.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it takes a moment.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: It's usually not no.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: But sometimes a part of us is surprised to receive our attention of self-energy.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: It's never had this before, often.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: So again, slowing down, taking deep breaths, staying connected to yourself, and now you're practicing extending self-energy to the part of you.
- 29:11SPEAKER_00: The fixer.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Wherever you notice that within your system.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Letting it know, hey, I'm right here with you.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: Is it okay?
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: If I sit here with you.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: And typically you'll get that yes.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Maybe something kind of softens or feels more open.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: And you could just say, uh, you're not alone.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: I'm right here with you.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: I just want to let you know I see you.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: I'm right here with you.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: And this is so powerful, just in what we've already done.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: So take a couple more deep, slow breaths.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: Just sit with the part of you that needs your attention.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: Today, yes, we're talking about the fixer, but this could be for any part of you.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: The practice of IFS is getting your parts that need your self-energy attention.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: You're getting the parts of you in relationship with yourself because all of our parts want to know they're not alone.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: All of the parts of us want validation.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: They want to be witnessed.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: And sometimes they're shy.
- 30:36SPEAKER_00: So the witnessing is like scary or weird because they've never felt this from us before, and that's okay.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: If you get a yes, you could also be like, thank you.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: Taking some more deep breaths.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: Really growing that self-energy within your system, just with presence, curiosity, and openness.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: Care.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: Extending this to the part of you that needs your attention.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: Letting it know that you're right here and it's not alone.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: And you could do this many times in a day, just this part alone.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: We do not go into our systems with an agenda in IFS.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Because parts of us can feel when we have an agenda.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: They can feel when we want them to be different.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: And they don't like that.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: They just want us to be present and to slow down and to see them and be with them.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: And a next version of this, a next step, would be to ask this part of you, what do you need right now?
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's to feel held, to feel safe.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: Often these parts of us were created very young.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: They were established very, very young.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: And you could ask this part of you, how old are you?
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: I have yet to meet a client who doesn't get an answer, but sometimes sometimes the part just says very old.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the part of you just shows you that it's three years old, four, five years old.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: Either way, what do you need right now?
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: And you could offer this part like, do you want to hug?
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: Do you want to hold my hand?
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: You don't even have to go that far.
- 33:28SPEAKER_00: You can, and sometimes parts are so ready for that.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: But just practice being there, present, extending your self energy, slowing down.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: Letting it know that it's not alone.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: This is such a deep, powerful practice.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: This is more than enough of a practice.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: And the more you do this, the more the parts of you get to know you and trust you.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: When they feel your self-energy, they begin to trust you.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: They begin to give you space.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: They might even step back a little.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: Think of this practice as generating more self-energy.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: Extending that to the part of you that needs your attention.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: Letting it know it's not alone.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: Stay here for as long as you're able, but even just a few breaths, it's enough.
- 34:52SPEAKER_00: This is your practice.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: I hope that landed for you.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: And if you did, I will see you in the next episode where we will meet the perfectionist.
