RCV Overview
The discussion focused on ranked choice voting (RCV) in Maine, particularly relevant as the primary is two weeks away. The speaker explained the RCV process, emphasizing the importance of ranking all candidates to avoid "exhausted" ballots, which are discarded. Errors, such as filling out multiple bubbles, also invalidate ballots. The speaker argued that RCV favors larger parties, strengthening the majority. For instance, in Democratic-leaning areas, it benefits Democrats.
