- 0:21Speaker 1: Hey, teen tolerator, This is Nablee Katona with two all
- 0:25Speaker 1: the men I've tolerated before. Clearly I'm not looking at
- 0:27Speaker 1: my notes. This is to all the men I've tolerated before,
- 0:32Speaker 1: with Navlee Katona, your weekly look at everyday misogyny Today.
- 0:36Speaker 1: We are so lucky to have back to the show,
- 0:38Speaker 1: Noel Cope. You will remember Noel from our episode on
- 0:42Speaker 1: saffic relationships and how they're represented in film and media.
- 0:46Speaker 1: She's back today to discuss the different ways misogyny affects
- 0:49Speaker 1: her experience as a bisexual woman.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Welcome back, Noel.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Thank you for having me. I'm so excited to be here.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I'm so excited that I figured out a reason for
- 1:00Speaker 1: us to reconnect and get you back on here.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Always always what's new with you?
- 1:05Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 1:06Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, it's actually been a great time since
- 1:10Speaker 3: I've been on here last. I am doing so many things.
- 1:14Speaker 3: My book is available all over the US at independent
- 1:17Speaker 3: bookstores for those of you who did not hear the
- 1:20Speaker 3: last episode. I wrote a collection of poetry called Notes
- 1:23Speaker 3: from the in Between. It is a poetry recounting of
- 1:27Speaker 3: my real life experience with intimate partner abuse, which My
- 1:31Speaker 3: bisexuality and queer identity is woven throughout that book and
- 1:36Speaker 3: is referenced within the poetry as far as how I
- 1:39Speaker 3: handled being in that type of relationship and the misogyny
- 1:42Speaker 3: within that and abuse. And it's also if there's any
- 1:46Speaker 3: international listeners, it is available on almost all major international
- 1:50Speaker 3: book sites and retailers as well, along with a couple
- 1:54Speaker 3: of stores potentially in the UK will be carrying it
- 1:57Speaker 3: soon knock on wood. And then as far as film
- 2:00Speaker 3: and TV goes, things are slowly resuming after the strike,
- 2:04Speaker 3: and I may have a very exciting project announcement coming
- 2:08Speaker 3: soon and one that all of our lovely LGBTQ listeners
- 2:16Speaker 3: will be very excited for, so keep an eye off
- 2:19Speaker 3: with that.
- 2:19Speaker 2: On my socials, listen, You're a great social follow I
- 2:23Speaker 2: feel like I have.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Really big anti energy as I get further and further
- 2:28Speaker 1: into my thirties, where it's like, I'm just so proud
- 2:32Speaker 1: of all of you. You all are just doing really great.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You're putting on your little outfits, You're going to the
- 2:37Speaker 1: little UH premieres and little parties and all of it.
- 2:40Speaker 1: And you are one of my favorite follows because you
- 2:43Speaker 1: are doing all of those things like you're always at
- 2:46Speaker 1: an event. It's always the fanciest thing I've seen all week.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I try so hard, Like I tried to film so
- 2:55Speaker 3: many of those like Red Carpet get Ready with me,
- 2:57Speaker 3: and they fail every time because instead there's just like
- 3:01Speaker 3: like two minutes said, I'm going like, hi, here's me before,
- 3:03Speaker 3: and the next thing I know in the video is
- 3:05Speaker 3: like me at home. I'm like, I forgot to film
- 3:07Speaker 3: any of it because I almost burn my apartment down.
- 3:11Speaker 3: And that's how you know I'm.
- 3:12Speaker 2: A bisexual chaotic bisexuality.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Oh, exclusively, exclusively, I think Number one, I love that
- 3:21Speaker 1: you try hard, because I think that our inability to
- 3:24Speaker 1: be honest about how hard we try is also misogyny
- 3:28Speaker 1: because men just like walk into rooms and they're like
- 3:31Speaker 1: I own this building now, and we're like what and
- 3:34Speaker 1: they're like I've taken over and you're all fired, and
- 3:37Speaker 1: meanwhile we're just like, so, I did write this script.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I don't think it's any good, but like I did,
- 3:44Speaker 1: I did write it on the computer, and I just
- 3:48Speaker 1: want to know. I don't like work hard on it
- 3:50Speaker 1: or anything like it's real chill. This is me asking
- 3:52Speaker 1: for notes on my script.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Like, oh yeah, no. Anytime I've gone any level of
- 3:57Speaker 3: success and like people are always like, no, well, you're
- 3:59Speaker 3: like going out personality, so from your like at home personality,
- 4:03Speaker 3: I'm like, yes, when I go out, I channel my
- 4:05Speaker 3: father straight up, Like no, like I'm not having a kid.
- 4:09Speaker 3: Anybody a little bit of my mom because my mom's
- 4:10Speaker 3: a gorgeous, chaotic Hungarian woman. So I kind of merge
- 4:13Speaker 3: the two. But no, my dad is a white well
- 4:16Speaker 3: mostly white, Gemini white passing. And so I go out
- 4:19Speaker 3: with and him, and he's a producer and so he
- 4:21Speaker 3: just walks up to anybody. He's like, hey, man, I
- 4:23Speaker 3: really like this or blah blah blah, and there's no
- 4:27Speaker 3: He's like, what are they gonna do?
- 4:29Speaker 2: Tell me no.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I'm like, you're right, you're right. What are they going
- 4:31Speaker 3: to do telling you no? I guess that's not an option.
- 4:35Speaker 3: But then like I go up to these events and
- 4:36Speaker 3: I'll just walk up to anybody and be like, Hi,
- 4:38Speaker 3: I'm a producer, Hello me, I wrote a book. Yeah.
- 4:43Speaker 1: I just like, uh yeah, I'll just walk up to
- 4:46Speaker 1: people and be like hello, I've been writing on my
- 4:48Speaker 1: comedy journal.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Do you like jokes? And people are like.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Hey, lady, how how are you? I wrote a sitcom.
- 4:54Speaker 1: My uncle told me that writing is he listened to
- 4:58Speaker 1: an NPR. This is a true story from this past
- 5:01Speaker 1: week nd my uncle. I told my uncle that I
- 5:04Speaker 1: officially finish a script, which is something I've never done,
- 5:07Speaker 1: because that's scary. What do you do when it's done,
- 5:10Speaker 1: when it's out of your brain? And my uncle has
- 5:14Speaker 1: always read and or listened to something that has to
- 5:17Speaker 1: do with anything I could be talking about. And he
- 5:19Speaker 1: looked at me and went, well that I recently read
- 5:23Speaker 1: this book. I don't know if you ran into it,
- 5:24Speaker 1: but one of the central themes of one of the
- 5:26Speaker 1: big players in the book is that writing in it
- 5:30Speaker 1: of itself is a torturous process that you definitely never
- 5:34Speaker 1: want to be doing, but you have to do because
- 5:37Speaker 1: you're a writer, and it's awful and you hate it
- 5:41Speaker 1: and it's and I'm like, are you.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Proud of me? Are you confused by me? What kind
- 5:46Speaker 2: of At the.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Same time, he is saying the most real thing I've heard,
- 5:49Speaker 3: and like, like in a decade.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Now, I'm sharing with him my weird writing ritual, which
- 5:56Speaker 1: is I put an hour on my timer and then
- 5:58Speaker 1: I type, and then I go out. I'm done, Tye,
- 6:00Speaker 1: And I paused the timer and I go and put
- 6:02Speaker 1: laundry away, and then I'm like, I could type again,
- 6:04Speaker 1: and I hit play on the timer because the entire
- 6:08Speaker 1: time I've been folding laundry, I'm like, and then the
- 6:10Speaker 1: person will say this, and then we'll go into this.
- 6:14Speaker 1: And I was like, so I technically write to one
- 6:17Speaker 1: to four hours every day because of my nice little
- 6:19Speaker 1: timer situation, but officially it is one hour.
- 6:24Speaker 3: He's like, oh, that's a great, great way to hold
- 6:27Speaker 3: yourself accountable, because I'm I'm notorious for doing the thing
- 6:30Speaker 3: where I sit down, I go, hmm, I do this too.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Stop and then like a long time will past. I'm like,
- 6:37Speaker 3: well I tried.
- 6:39Speaker 1: I really did that, now, Dann, And I like, I'm like,
- 6:42Speaker 1: I held a pen in my pocket all day long.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I am a writer and that's as far as I got.
- 6:50Speaker 1: And then I was like, Love is blind dropped? What
- 6:52Speaker 1: am I doing?
- 6:54Speaker 3: Dude? The chokes? Love is blind as on me every
- 6:58Speaker 3: year every year. I'm like, this is it. I'm done.
- 7:00Speaker 3: I watched the first episode and then I get hung
- 7:03Speaker 3: up again.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Well and this season is fantastic and we'll talk about
- 7:06Speaker 1: it offline, online whatever, because yeah, yeah, oh.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Yeah, But here's my question. This goes great into the
- 7:13Speaker 3: segway where we're talking about today. Yes, so, if love
- 7:18Speaker 3: is blind, why are there no bisexuals on the show? Exactly?
- 7:21Speaker 2: Why?
- 7:21Speaker 3: I'm sorry? Why can't Why can the bisexual contestants not
- 7:26Speaker 3: speak to both men and women? I get it's because
- 7:28Speaker 3: they're like in the living situation together, But plot twist,
- 7:32Speaker 3: maybe we change the living situation, create a third dormitory
- 7:37Speaker 3: and allow the by like the bisexuals to like do
- 7:40Speaker 3: it or we do like room buddies or something.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Oh, we do the circle I don't know, what's that?
- 7:46Speaker 1: What are we doing with that circle building on the
- 7:49Speaker 1: off season?
- 7:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm like, there has to be some way because
- 7:52Speaker 3: I would be so interested in watching the conflict between
- 7:58Speaker 3: having to choose between a man and a woman and
- 8:01Speaker 3: the difference in how they flirt and communicate and handle things,
- 8:04Speaker 3: because so many times the pods are such a disappointment
- 8:07Speaker 3: because I see so many of these women showing up
- 8:10Speaker 3: and like, especially the women that I think have healed
- 8:13Speaker 3: a lot of misogyny within themselves and ingrained sexism. They
- 8:17Speaker 3: come in and they hold their ground and they do
- 8:20Speaker 3: so well, and they navigate so much like gaslighting and
- 8:23Speaker 3: bs that's thrown at them. Like one moment that stands
- 8:27Speaker 3: out to me is when Taylor was talking about how
- 8:29Speaker 3: she didn't want to reveal her race, and she did
- 8:31Speaker 3: a great job of kind of like throwing that out
- 8:34Speaker 3: there and kind of teasing it out to see how
- 8:35Speaker 3: he responded. And he immediately called her cagey and that
- 8:39Speaker 3: she was calculated and she was playing games, and that
- 8:43Speaker 3: he had only dated white women because the initial terror
- 8:46Speaker 3: in him that he was only talking to a woman
- 8:47Speaker 3: who was not white, and all of her reasons for
- 8:50Speaker 3: not disclosing that, especially for her own well being, were incredible.
- 8:54Speaker 3: And like, I want to see, though, if Taylor was bisexual,
- 8:57Speaker 3: is bisexual as Pam, how a woman would have reponded
- 9:00Speaker 3: to that? Yeah, show me how a woman would have
- 9:02Speaker 3: been interested and wanting to know if it affects if
- 9:07Speaker 3: her culture without revealing how it affects her identity and
- 9:10Speaker 3: her values or like all these other things. Whereas a
- 9:13Speaker 3: man standing there going, well, if you're not white, I
- 9:15Speaker 3: don't know if I want you.
- 9:17Speaker 2: I don't even think He asked her if her parents were,
- 9:20Speaker 2: like if she was first gen.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Oh he got there. He had a hissy fit first.
- 9:24Speaker 1: He had the hissy fit first, but then he was like,
- 9:27Speaker 1: are the immigrants. She's like, I'm not telling you anything,
- 9:31Speaker 1: and he's like, okay, marry me.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Though, yeah, insanity, but it's like that's why I'm like,
- 9:38Speaker 3: I want to see I just want to see. Show
- 9:41Speaker 3: me options, show me non binary people. Let's make this
- 9:43Speaker 3: more interesting because every season we deal with the same thing,
- 9:46Speaker 3: which is, oh, my god, man hates a woman because
- 9:48Speaker 3: woman isn't what he thought she would look like.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Right, which is just me swiping on Tinder like, I like,
- 9:54Speaker 1: I don't know, and I like, give me body diversity,
- 9:58Speaker 1: which they're technically trying give me, you know, the disability
- 10:02Speaker 1: represent visibility representation. I like, I want all of it.
- 10:07Speaker 1: The Queer Ultimatum series leads ahead and better than straight
- 10:13Speaker 1: People Ultimatum, like, and people learn things from Queer Ultimatum,
- 10:18Speaker 1: like speaking to one another.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I was gonna say, I think this comes back to
- 10:22Speaker 3: so much of it is. It's amazing how no matter
- 10:25Speaker 3: what member of the LGBT community you are, to some degree,
- 10:29Speaker 3: in order to gain acceptance within your identity and step
- 10:35Speaker 3: into the community, all these things you have to do
- 10:37Speaker 3: a lot of soul work, and you have to do
- 10:39Speaker 3: a lot of internalized leg work. And obviously it's very
- 10:43Speaker 3: different for you know, very masculine presenting gay men, but
- 10:47Speaker 3: nonetheless from the way that you know men will talk
- 10:51Speaker 3: to other men and the whole concept of who wears
- 10:53Speaker 3: the pants. Even within those dynamics, all those things require
- 10:56Speaker 3: so much more work and internal work and kind of
- 10:59Speaker 3: step outside the norms of society that you do end
- 11:03Speaker 3: up being a far more interesting person to date because
- 11:07Speaker 3: you're not focused on as much of the bullshit, the
- 11:10Speaker 3: little bullshit and all those things. Sure they come up.
- 11:12Speaker 3: We all have friends that are in different types of
- 11:14Speaker 3: relationships where we look at them and go, isn't this
- 11:17Speaker 3: argument beneath you? You guys are so good at ninety
- 11:20Speaker 3: nine percent of the other relationship things. Why are socks
- 11:24Speaker 3: breaking you? No? Seriously.
- 11:27Speaker 1: A woman once told me that she was going to
- 11:29Speaker 1: divorce her husband over towels and whether or not you
- 11:32Speaker 1: get to use more than one towel while showering, like,
- 11:36Speaker 1: and she was like, I'm just supposed to do laundry
- 11:39Speaker 1: day in and day out because you want three fresh
- 11:41Speaker 1: towels every day. And I'm like, no, that's ridiculous. I
- 11:45Speaker 1: believe it.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Meanwhile, let's just a minute, ninety nine percent of lesbians
- 11:49Speaker 3: would go Okay. So if I built and handstained a
- 11:53Speaker 3: new towel cabinet and then purchased additional towels for myself,
- 11:59Speaker 3: and then I did the washing of these extra towels,
- 12:01Speaker 3: that I also created a storage solution forte us as
- 12:03Speaker 3: many towels as I wanted, and be like, yes, because
- 12:05Speaker 3: you solved the problem. You addressed to your needs without inconvenience. Me.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I follow those lesbians on TikTok. I hope they're doing
- 12:13Speaker 1: really well with their cadio. Like I know them, we
- 12:17Speaker 1: know them. We all have those lesbians on art tiktat.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I saw a lesbian the other day.
- 12:22Speaker 3: I loved it so much. She like is the one
- 12:24Speaker 3: who went through like the whole I think it was
- 12:25Speaker 3: like in Billy like crazy apartment situation. Oh my god.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I saw her steaming this rug that her wife fell
- 12:32Speaker 3: in love with, and she's like, I bought a rug
- 12:34Speaker 3: steamer just for this because my wife is insisting that
- 12:36Speaker 3: we keep this rug. But she also says it smells
- 12:38Speaker 3: like mildew. And this whole saga of cleaning this rug
- 12:42Speaker 3: and she rearranged the carpets in every room in their
- 12:45Speaker 3: new living situation just to accommodate this like Facebook marketplace rug.
- 12:50Speaker 3: And I'm like, and that's love, that's love.
- 12:55Speaker 1: And I think every straight person, mostly because when I
- 12:58Speaker 1: went to see Pros, I went with two women who
- 13:02Speaker 1: present as pretty straight, like maybe things have changed, maybe not,
- 13:05Speaker 1: But when we were going it was like I was
- 13:08Speaker 1: baby gay and they I don't even know if I
- 13:11Speaker 1: was baby gay yet I was like, I like gay
- 13:14Speaker 1: people more than straight people, like Will and Grace still
- 13:18Speaker 1: pretending to be straight.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Like and I was watching Bros.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Crying telling them things like you don't understand, like how
- 13:25Speaker 1: important that dynamic is right there that he felt vulnerable
- 13:29Speaker 1: enough to like, I'm like gay, explaining to the Straits
- 13:33Speaker 1: why Bros. Is an emotional roller coaster of a comedy.
- 13:36Speaker 2: And I was like, straight people should have to watch this.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, I mean it's like and again, I
- 13:44Speaker 3: think it's also where so much is like the like
- 13:46Speaker 3: the bisexual, pan sexual, When you're just anything other than straight,
- 13:51Speaker 3: it gets so confusing because the narrative and the media
- 13:55Speaker 3: and the relationships that were modeled are so hyper specific,
- 14:01Speaker 3: you know, like I keep seeing these videos and I
- 14:03Speaker 3: love them because they're so true, which is a lot
- 14:05Speaker 3: of pant sexual women joking about the second that they
- 14:08Speaker 3: see a strict couple putting each other down as flirting.
- 14:13Speaker 3: And you know, she was saying not in a way.
- 14:14Speaker 3: That's like She's like, it's clearly not like a kind
- 14:17Speaker 3: of a cute, kinky thing, right, Yeah, it's definitely like, oh,
- 14:20Speaker 3: you guys actually hate each other a little bit, and yeah,
- 14:26Speaker 3: public shame is the only way you guys know how
- 14:28Speaker 3: to resolve the other issue, because that's how you put
- 14:29Speaker 3: pressure on each other. She's like, as a lesbian, she's like,
- 14:32Speaker 3: I would only look at my girlfriend in public and
- 14:35Speaker 3: be like, isn't she a goddess? I know you want her,
- 14:37Speaker 3: but you can't have her because she leves me, And
- 14:39Speaker 3: it's just like it's so different. And also when you
- 14:45Speaker 3: don't just date street men, I feel like it can
- 14:47Speaker 3: be very intimidating when you do go out on dates
- 14:50Speaker 3: of those men because the standard and the bar and
- 14:53Speaker 3: the expectations are so vastly different. And at times they
- 14:57Speaker 3: will love it because you know, I'll sit there and
- 15:00Speaker 3: I'm notorious. When I do date men, I will put
- 15:05Speaker 3: a spending cap. I'm like, look, I love that you
- 15:08Speaker 3: are successful and that you have money. It's not the
- 15:10Speaker 3: reason I'm dating you, nor do I want it to
- 15:13Speaker 3: be a easy band aid for anything we're experiencing. I
- 15:18Speaker 3: will happily let you pay for things within a budget
- 15:23Speaker 3: and a spending cap. And I also would love us
- 15:26Speaker 3: to try to prioritize doing things that I could pay
- 15:28Speaker 3: for at the end of the night if I decide
- 15:29Speaker 3: I want to pay. And it's one of those things
- 15:33Speaker 3: about like shifting the dynamic for me to be focused
- 15:36Speaker 3: on our emotional connection and not on the financial ability
- 15:41Speaker 3: to go through the motions of a relationship.
- 15:43Speaker 2: You need to write a book.
- 15:45Speaker 3: Like I mean, you have no I'll tell me more.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Like this one, like you need to write this one.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I So the thing for me is is one of
- 15:55Speaker 1: the big rainbow flags that I was probably you know
- 16:01Speaker 1: I was straight for my twenties, but I wasn't giving
- 16:04Speaker 1: it my all.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Is that what you just said about?
- 16:07Speaker 1: Like I look at my girlfriend and I goes, she's
- 16:09Speaker 1: a goddess and you can't have her because she loves
- 16:11Speaker 1: me the most. That's how I feel about all my
- 16:13Speaker 1: female friends. I go to the movies with my female
- 16:16Speaker 1: friends and I'm like, look at my beautiful friends, where
- 16:19Speaker 1: all women were all gorgeous.
- 16:21Speaker 2: These are all of my wives.
- 16:23Speaker 1: I love them the most out of anyone I've ever loved,
- 16:28Speaker 1: and I would never let you touch them. And I'm
- 16:31Speaker 1: kind of mad that you get to and I'm like,
- 16:34Speaker 1: is that normal?
- 16:36Speaker 3: Well, it's also just even like the flirting with that stuff,
- 16:39Speaker 3: like when a woman says things to me, I'm like,
- 16:43Speaker 3: versus when a man says it, I'm like, the fucking
- 16:46Speaker 3: audacity to lie on my sakes.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Yeah, why are you speaking to me? No?
- 16:50Speaker 3: Literally, I had an instance where I was like at
- 16:53Speaker 3: a party and this girl, like I came up to
- 16:55Speaker 3: her afterwards. I was like, hi, just introducing myself because
- 16:57Speaker 3: we're all friends with the same group of friends, and
- 17:00Speaker 3: she looked at me, She's like Hi. She's like I
- 17:01Speaker 3: saw you across the room. You're beautiful. And I was like,
- 17:06Speaker 3: are you telling me I'm pretty? Are you flirting? What's
- 17:07Speaker 3: happening right now? And it's like you know that thing
- 17:10Speaker 3: where you're just like, oh, no, it's happening, versus like
- 17:12Speaker 3: if a man said that to me and be like,
- 17:13Speaker 3: why were you watching me?
- 17:15Speaker 2: Ew ough Yeah, I'd be like CAUSEY said what Yeah,
- 17:20Speaker 2: I go for it.
- 17:23Speaker 3: No, I was just gonna say, which is like I
- 17:24Speaker 3: do think is sad, because I do think there's genuinely
- 17:26Speaker 3: world where there is some like very very sweet, very
- 17:31Speaker 3: wonderful men that are pan sexual that truly would say
- 17:35Speaker 3: and mean that because they've also divested so much from
- 17:39Speaker 3: misogyny and from the patriarchy that they are in a
- 17:43Speaker 3: different place with emotions and intention and dating. But that
- 17:47Speaker 3: guy is like literally one in seven billion.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Yeah, and if you yell, if you yell at them first,
- 17:53Speaker 1: if you go ew gross man talking and they don't
- 17:56Speaker 1: yell back, then you're like, oh, not an insult, this
- 17:58Speaker 1: was nice.
- 17:59Speaker 2: I'm at least saying you have to vet them.
- 18:02Speaker 1: You have to you have to say, you know, to
- 18:04Speaker 1: at least five things to see like how they're doing
- 18:07Speaker 1: with that.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah, no, I mean again, this is also I'm
- 18:11Speaker 3: the girl that sat on a first date where the
- 18:13Speaker 3: guy spent almost the whole day trying to pressure me
- 18:15Speaker 3: into making an only fans Oh cute m and you know, nothing,
- 18:19Speaker 3: I said dissuade him.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And like here's the thing, Like maybe you had already
- 18:25Speaker 1: drafted up your business plan and you just didn't need
- 18:28Speaker 1: his input.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Or My thing is I don't like a man telling
- 18:31Speaker 3: me what I should do for income. Exactly, he could
- 18:34Speaker 3: have been telling me I should be a nurse, I'd
- 18:36Speaker 3: say fuck you. Fuck you.
- 18:38Speaker 1: When I was laid off from my theater job right
- 18:41Speaker 1: after the quarantine while the quarantine was going on, and
- 18:46Speaker 1: the guy I was saying looked at me and went, well,
- 18:48Speaker 1: there's always teaching to fall back on. And I try
- 18:51Speaker 1: to explain to him that, like teacher, namily is not
- 18:53Speaker 1: a fun namily. She's miserable, she's usually manic. She'll stay
- 18:57Speaker 1: out all night long just to prove that she can
- 18:59Speaker 1: because like, fuck school and fuck those kids. Like she's
- 19:03Speaker 1: not fun no, and I'm not going back to her.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I'm like, it makes me think of throwing up every
- 19:10Speaker 1: time someone's like, why don't you just get your sub license?
- 19:12Speaker 1: And then it's still all on you and I'm like,
- 19:14Speaker 1: but is it e. I don't like her. I feel
- 19:18Speaker 1: like I've healed her and she's been put to bed.
- 19:22Speaker 1: But he was like, so, well, you need a job,
- 19:25Speaker 1: and I was like, the theater is going to ask
- 19:26Speaker 1: for me back as soon as.
- 19:27Speaker 2: All of this is over, which was also a lie.
- 19:30Speaker 3: It's okay, he didn't earn the truth.
- 19:33Speaker 2: He earned the truth. Like it was a lie.
- 19:36Speaker 1: I was telling myself, and I told myself that lie
- 19:38Speaker 1: for two years. And that's my right as a chaotic
- 19:43Speaker 1: bisexual to just be like I'm lying to myself and
- 19:45Speaker 1: that's fine.
- 19:47Speaker 3: No, it's also you're right as a creative chaotic bisexual
- 19:50Speaker 3: because I also I adore teachers. Teachers and incredible they
- 19:54Speaker 3: do the Lord's work. I would love to do what
- 19:57Speaker 3: I can to support teachers in their mission. I know
- 20:00Speaker 3: for a fact I should never teach. And I know
- 20:03Speaker 3: this because one absolutely, no child should be subjected to
- 20:08Speaker 3: me in the morning. No child, No, you see like
- 20:12Speaker 3: I am the type of bisexual and pan sexual where
- 20:15Speaker 3: I sit within the maleficent realm. No child should see
- 20:20Speaker 3: that in the a m. Maybe after lunch. They need
- 20:25Speaker 3: two solid meals before they're interacting with that behavior from me. Okay, Like,
- 20:30Speaker 3: think of the children before you suggest that I be
- 20:32Speaker 3: a teacher.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:34Speaker 1: I So we watch my nephew every Thursday, and he
- 20:39Speaker 1: gets here because my sister is a teacher. He gets
- 20:41Speaker 1: here at six, at six fifteen, and my sister was
- 20:45Speaker 1: laughing because she's like, namely just rolls out like she's
- 20:48Speaker 1: come straight from bed. She's like, the pillow is still
- 20:51Speaker 1: attached to her face. Actually, her hair is everywhere. She's
- 20:55Speaker 1: in her pajamas, her boobs are outside of her T shirt,
- 20:58Speaker 1: and she's just like one up neighbors and she takes
- 21:01Speaker 1: my child in that state, and she's.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Like, because did you just roll out of bed? And
- 21:06Speaker 2: I go, I set that alarm.
- 21:08Speaker 1: For fifteen minutes before I know you're arriving and you're welcome.
- 21:13Speaker 1: And I don't care what. I don't care that I'm
- 21:15Speaker 1: bringing down property value because that's how I roll out
- 21:18Speaker 1: of this house every day.
- 21:20Speaker 3: You know what property value is too high in America.
- 21:22Speaker 3: We actually need to bring it down. You're saving the economy.
- 21:25Speaker 3: You're saving the economy. I do mean this and everyday hero.
- 21:28Speaker 1: And then she's like and then I come and pick
- 21:30Speaker 1: them up and Nable still looks like that. I go,
- 21:32Speaker 1: who am I showering for? I'm with your infant all
- 21:35Speaker 1: day like we're just watching blue Ee.
- 21:39Speaker 3: No exactly, No, I love this. There's this one mom.
- 21:41Speaker 3: I adore her. She's my next door neighbor. And I
- 21:43Speaker 3: help her out with her daughter sometimes because entertainment work
- 21:46Speaker 3: gives you an incredibly bizarre schedule. Yes, and I loved
- 21:50Speaker 3: it because one time she was like explaining like the
- 21:53Speaker 3: meal planning for her daughter for the day, and it
- 21:56Speaker 3: was very simple because she's just like, I have it
- 21:58Speaker 3: all prepared. She's a picky eater. I was like, great.
- 22:00Speaker 3: And the thing that cracked me up and where I
- 22:02Speaker 3: really loved this mom is the mom looked at me.
- 22:04Speaker 3: She's like, so I made her these many muffins. I
- 22:06Speaker 3: was like, okay. She's like, she's gonna want to eat
- 22:07Speaker 3: those first. I was like okay, and she's like and
- 22:09Speaker 3: then it's gonna be like two hours before she has breakfast.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I was like okay, and she got really honest with me.
- 22:13Speaker 3: She's like, she might not eat the mini muffins. She
- 22:16Speaker 3: might want a Hawaiian roll. And I was like, okay.
- 22:18Speaker 2: She's like, you see, I.
- 22:20Speaker 3: Accidentally got her started on eating Hawaiian rules for breakfast
- 22:23Speaker 3: because I would wake up I just couldn't take her food.
- 22:26Speaker 3: I needed to give her something, so I just started
- 22:29Speaker 3: giving her like little skits and rolls in the morning.
- 22:31Speaker 3: And I was like, oh my god, you're just like me, Yeah, yeah,
- 22:34Speaker 3: what do you mean at six am? I just woke up.
- 22:36Speaker 3: I'm expected to give a child food like I need
- 22:38Speaker 3: to cook at eggs? What No, it's getting a Hawaiian roll.
- 22:41Speaker 3: You're a genius. Thank you for that idea.
- 22:43Speaker 1: You're a hero. If that woman's listening, you're a hero.
- 22:47Speaker 1: You've got out to jade. You've never done anything wrong
- 22:50Speaker 1: in your entire life.
- 22:53Speaker 2: We all love Hawaiian rolls.
- 22:55Speaker 3: It's fine. Every little girl should start her day with
- 22:59Speaker 3: a little treat. Okay, with a little treat.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I number one, like, of course she has weird food stuff.
- 23:06Speaker 1: All the hot girls do. Like we all have ibs,
- 23:09Speaker 1: Like I don't know, I.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Have one friend. We will we will just periodically just
- 23:14Speaker 3: to each other. We're like, so do you want Italian tonight?
- 23:17Speaker 3: And we go to this little hole in the wall
- 23:18Speaker 3: Italian place, and the only other people that go there
- 23:22Speaker 3: are seventy five years old, and the waiters, like the
- 23:25Speaker 3: whole white staff knows us. They know our order. It's
- 23:27Speaker 3: like a joke that they even handles the menu at
- 23:29Speaker 3: this point because we always order one of two things
- 23:33Speaker 3: and we love it. And we sit there and we
- 23:35Speaker 3: don't even properly talk. What we do is one person
- 23:40Speaker 3: goes for fifteen minutes while the other person eats their pasta,
- 23:43Speaker 3: then reverst the other person eats and the other girl
- 23:46Speaker 3: we just yet It's true, yapping, It is like sending
- 23:50Speaker 3: voice memos to each other, but we're in person with
- 23:53Speaker 3: food in front of us.
- 23:54Speaker 1: That's feminism. It's fourth wave feminism, is what it is.
- 23:58Speaker 1: And yeah, I I'm trying.
- 24:02Speaker 3: To seguey back to the bisexuality of it all. Oh
- 24:04Speaker 3: what I was about to just say?
- 24:06Speaker 1: It does help that we are, you know, queer, So yeah, no,
- 24:10Speaker 1: And like here's the thing, I don't know.
- 24:12Speaker 2: When you're queer, you get to do stuff like that
- 24:14Speaker 2: and it's fine. I don't just know.
- 24:16Speaker 3: What what happened is you said the rules the rules,
- 24:20Speaker 3: because the rule thing, the rules don't want me to
- 24:22Speaker 3: exist as my authentic self. Therefore I don't take them
- 24:26Speaker 3: seriously anymore. Now. Moral beliefs, my core values, those can
- 24:32Speaker 3: exist because those aren't determined by the patriarchy. Those are
- 24:35Speaker 3: determined by love and the concept of being a good person.
- 24:38Speaker 3: But not under the terms of the whole idea that
- 24:41Speaker 3: I was made from.
- 24:42Speaker 2: Like Adam's ripuie, I like here's the thing.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I make up stupid rules all the time, and I
- 24:47Speaker 1: get like very indignant about it, and I'm like, I
- 24:50Speaker 1: get to do this as some sort of queer woman.
- 24:52Speaker 1: And I'm like, my love for Dave Bautista gay, and
- 24:55Speaker 1: you can't tell me otherwise. Like, I love him, but
- 24:58Speaker 1: it's a I love for him is rainbow.
- 25:01Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 25:02Speaker 1: It's the same for Papa Pascal, Major Pascal. My love
- 25:06Speaker 1: for him and Ryan Gosling rainbow. Tell me I'm wrong, no, And.
- 25:10Speaker 3: The thing is, you said it, and I get it
- 25:12Speaker 3: because there are some people that I'm like, I look
- 25:14Speaker 3: at you, and I love you in a way that
- 25:16Speaker 3: I assume a gay man loves you. And the reason
- 25:17Speaker 3: I feel like I can tap into that is because
- 25:20Speaker 3: it's the most to kins the way that a woman
- 25:22Speaker 3: loves a woman, except you're a man, and I'm aware
- 25:24Speaker 3: that you're a man.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Right Like, because I love all the soft parts of you.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I don't care that you were a former wrestler. I
- 25:30Speaker 1: care that you love pipples.
- 25:32Speaker 3: And like, my fantasy with you is not actually involve
- 25:36Speaker 3: anything inherently sexual. It's like I love the idea of
- 25:39Speaker 3: curling up on a couch with you and watching you
- 25:42Speaker 3: explain something absurd to me, Well, I know you're wrong.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I want to teach Dave Pezisa how to French braid
- 25:49Speaker 1: my hair. And that's your love story.
- 25:52Speaker 3: Exactly, And that's how I know it's gay, right, And that's.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Why I know Rainbow and I feel there's a comfortable sharing.
- 25:58Speaker 3: A straight woman would say and be like, I love
- 26:00Speaker 3: Dave Patista because I want him to drive me fast
- 26:02Speaker 3: in his car room room, yeah, versus like I could
- 26:06Speaker 3: understand that, like, for example, do I want Michelle Rodriguez
- 26:09Speaker 3: to drive me fast in a car room? M less?
- 26:11Speaker 3: And that is that is also gay? Yeah, I'm like, yes,
- 26:15Speaker 3: do I ever want a man to do that to meet?
- 26:17Speaker 3: Maybe Lewis Hamilton. But aside from that, now, no, I.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Like the love that I have for Dave Fatista is
- 26:24Speaker 1: so gay because it's truly like, I just want us
- 26:27Speaker 1: to go have season a pipole.
- 26:29Speaker 3: It's a buddy cap Yeah, it's a funny, it's a
- 26:31Speaker 3: buddy movie.
- 26:32Speaker 1: Yes, it's a buddy movie. Which and here's the thing,
- 26:35Speaker 1: I think that my love for Dave Fatista is the
- 26:37Speaker 1: only thing still qualifying me as a bisexual woman because
- 26:42Speaker 1: my sister is having a second baby, and we were
- 26:45Speaker 1: talking about whether or not the first baby has realized that,
- 26:48Speaker 1: and I go, what if when we're talking about babies,
- 26:50Speaker 1: he just assumes that I'm having one because I don't
- 26:53Speaker 1: have one yet. I go, or do you think he's thinking?
- 26:56Speaker 1: I wonder who's having that baby? It can't be aunt nanny.
- 26:59Speaker 1: She finds me and distasteful, like, what do you think
- 27:03Speaker 1: is going on in his head?
- 27:05Speaker 2: And places?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Just like I don't think anything's going on in his head,
- 27:08Speaker 1: and definitely not that. I was like, oh, okay, maybe
- 27:11Speaker 1: it's just going on in my head.
- 27:13Speaker 3: No, that's that's the beautiful thing about children. Children actually,
- 27:16Speaker 3: until they are quite a bit older, don't actually care
- 27:19Speaker 3: about anything other than their own needs, right, So he
- 27:21Speaker 3: honestly that's why he doesn't care about you bring down
- 27:23Speaker 3: the property value.
- 27:24Speaker 2: No, he doesn't care.
- 27:26Speaker 3: He's like, are you going to feed me? Are you
- 27:27Speaker 3: gonna play with me? Do I get bluey? Right? Every
- 27:30Speaker 3: everything's checked.
- 27:32Speaker 2: That's the only reason he learned my name. In case
- 27:34Speaker 2: I have.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Goldfish crackers, Like exactly the dude goldfish the choke hold
- 27:39Speaker 3: goldfish has on everyone, on everyone, And oh, here's a
- 27:44Speaker 3: great question to ask. Go for it. Okay, So as
- 27:48Speaker 3: a queer woman, and like, let's say you're like a
- 27:51Speaker 3: queer Santa Claus, right, instead of putting out milk and
- 27:53Speaker 3: cookies to summon you, what what would someone who wanted
- 27:57Speaker 3: to summon Natalie have to put out?
- 28:00Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, it's still a cookie Sunday, Like I
- 28:03Speaker 1: love a tree. But if it's like representing my like
- 28:07Speaker 1: bisexuality or queerness or whatever, like it's gonna be like,
- 28:12Speaker 1: we're hey, I'm paying.
- 28:13Speaker 2: To dye your hair purple again so it looks good again.
- 28:17Speaker 1: And here in chapel Rone tickets because I'm very upset
- 28:22Speaker 1: that I didn't get to see Chapel Rone when she
- 28:24Speaker 1: was cheap and not chapel Rone. Yeah yeah, no, I
- 28:30Speaker 1: hear that, because now she's really popular and like causing
- 28:34Speaker 1: the entire state of Kentucky to shut down, and I
- 28:37Speaker 1: can't do it.
- 28:39Speaker 3: No, I hear it. Yeah again, I was really dumb.
- 28:42Speaker 3: A lot of my friends saw her a lot in
- 28:44Speaker 3: the l like we're seeing, and I just always did
- 28:47Speaker 3: not make it out to the shows that she was on.
- 28:50Speaker 3: And now I'm like, I should have left my house.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Yeah you should have, and look at us now, we're
- 28:55Speaker 1: fools and we're just like I won't go to the
- 28:58Speaker 1: Pink Bony club, but I do. What would you what
- 29:03Speaker 1: would be on your Christmas plate?
- 29:05Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Okay, first up, you want to summon
- 29:09Speaker 3: me a slice of Baker Square Oreo pie because that
- 29:12Speaker 3: it closed and I've been obsessed with that since I
- 29:15Speaker 3: was little. Yeah, I think that, like all, I've never
- 29:17Speaker 3: been able to find a breaker Square post two thousand
- 29:19Speaker 3: and eight recession. Wow, so I want that. Put that
- 29:23Speaker 3: on a plate for me. Honestly, that might just do
- 29:25Speaker 3: it for me. But if we're gonna lean super and
- 29:28Speaker 3: super into the bisexuality thing, like I don't know, there's
- 29:31Speaker 3: a lot, there's a lot that could get me. It's
- 29:34Speaker 3: not like it's like, oh it'd be hard. No, there's
- 29:36Speaker 3: many things like probably Nisa, like I was gonna say, honestly,
- 29:41Speaker 3: but I'm a cheerleader. Yeah, that would summon me pretty
- 29:44Speaker 3: instantly death because oh my gosh, yes, basically saying that
- 29:51Speaker 3: you will take me too and got us tickets for
- 29:53Speaker 3: any event at this community space called Junior High in
- 29:56Speaker 3: LA It is like my happy place. I love it
- 29:59Speaker 3: and I don't make it out to as many of
- 30:01Speaker 3: the events as I want. Oh, museum tickets, Oh, museum tickets. Yeah,
- 30:07Speaker 3: I'm like that would be so much fun. Imagine a
- 30:10Speaker 3: cute museum day with two pretty girls and we recreate
- 30:13Speaker 3: the poses in the painting, but as women come on,
- 30:15Speaker 3: come on, yeah no.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I like again, you can get like are you gonna namly?
- 30:22Speaker 3: Don't worry.
- 30:23Speaker 1: I've written your new D and D character, so you
- 30:25Speaker 1: just get to assume the role. I've always wanted to
- 30:29Speaker 1: just trust someone to write my own D and T character,
- 30:32Speaker 1: so I could just show up like it was a
- 30:34Speaker 1: casting call and be like, Okay, I'm her.
- 30:38Speaker 3: No, it's like it's oh my gosh. It's just a
- 30:39Speaker 3: little things like that, Oh, tickets to like a drive
- 30:41Speaker 3: in it's my favorite movie. Oh yeah, oh oh, surprising
- 30:46Speaker 3: me with a book instead of flowers.
- 30:48Speaker 1: We're going to like an anniversary screening of cry Baby
- 30:51Speaker 1: and ignoring like where Johnny Depp.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Is now, Like yeah, exactly exactly, Oh I date to
- 30:58Speaker 3: Hollywood forever, like just like, oh, we're going to the
- 31:00Speaker 3: cemetery for a picnic. Yes, yes, yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Oh ghost tour. We're doing a ghost tour ugh ah yeah.
- 31:09Speaker 3: But also also I would be getting this again where
- 31:11Speaker 3: I'm a little too easy. I think. You tell me, hey,
- 31:15Speaker 3: we're gonna go get milkshakes and animal style fries and
- 31:18Speaker 3: sit in the parking lot and talk until it's like
- 31:20Speaker 3: three am, and we watched the sunrise?
- 31:22Speaker 2: Yes, do you know.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Those straight men have done that with me right up
- 31:26Speaker 1: until the point that we're sleeping together.
- 31:28Speaker 2: And then they're like, why do you want to talk
- 31:29Speaker 2: to me now?
- 31:30Speaker 1: And I'm like, well, we used to do this when
- 31:34Speaker 1: I had insomnia, so why has it changed now?
- 31:40Speaker 3: No? No, no, Like I saw this like post online
- 31:42Speaker 3: one time that said the best part of being married,
- 31:45Speaker 3: and I was like, this is something I want to
- 31:46Speaker 3: print out and put on my vision board. It's like
- 31:47Speaker 3: a Tumblr post, so it's probably not real, but I
- 31:50Speaker 3: want it to be in my soul. And this person
- 31:52Speaker 3: was saying that the best part of being married is
- 31:54Speaker 3: by accident, this husband and wife both woke up and
- 31:57Speaker 3: they couldn't sleep, so they decided to just hang out
- 32:00Speaker 3: out and not sleep together. And I was like, that
- 32:02Speaker 3: is what marriage was made for. That's what my cat do.
- 32:07Speaker 3: If I'm gonna have to like like share a bed
- 32:10Speaker 3: with someone and like have to fight over the covers
- 32:12Speaker 3: every night, the rest of my life. I want to
- 32:15Speaker 3: be able two am to go. Hey, hey, I know
- 32:17Speaker 3: you're not asleep. You want to watch the newest Love
- 32:19Speaker 3: is Blind with me?
- 32:21Speaker 1: Or Love is Blind around the World. My mom just
- 32:24Speaker 1: recently told me that you have access to all of
- 32:26Speaker 1: the Love is Blind.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Dude, in all the countries.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Love is Blind Japan. That's what she said. No no, no, no,
- 32:33Speaker 3: no no no no no no no no. That made
- 32:36Speaker 3: me cry every episode. There is one couple on there
- 32:42Speaker 3: I have like, I cried every episode. Oh my god.
- 32:46Speaker 3: They were so cute. They were like we gave them
- 32:48Speaker 3: a code name because they were a favorite couple. They
- 32:50Speaker 3: were so top here. They had a ship name. They
- 32:52Speaker 3: were called Sweet and Sour.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Cute.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Sweet and Sour made us cry every episode. I believe
- 32:56Speaker 3: in love because of Sweet and Sour. I follow Sweet
- 32:58Speaker 3: and Sour on Instagram and see the updates of their
- 33:01Speaker 3: lives and I'm like, love has to be real, Yeah,
- 33:04Speaker 3: because of Quay and Sour. Yeah.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I once had a straight couple that made me believe
- 33:09Speaker 1: in hetero noormative love to the point where I looked
- 33:12Speaker 1: at him at some point and I was like, someone
- 33:14Speaker 1: in your family has to be closeted like I don't understand,
- 33:19Speaker 1: and like he was like, I think this is a compliment,
- 33:22Speaker 1: and I was like it is because you're just not
- 33:25Speaker 1: like you don't give me the ick. You're the only
- 33:27Speaker 1: one anyone else brings their straight boy friend around, and I'm.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Like, oh God, look at what he's wearing.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Hansel bringing the boyfriends around.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Oh, Cavencil.
- 33:38Speaker 3: I have one friend I love. We have known each
- 33:40Speaker 3: other for ten years. I have never met any man.
- 33:42Speaker 2: She's gated and that's how it should be. That's respectful.
- 33:45Speaker 2: It is.
- 33:46Speaker 3: It is icy photos of him. I know enough about him.
- 33:49Speaker 3: I've never I have never ever had a hangout ruin
- 33:53Speaker 3: by him being there.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, this is how I talk about marriage. Now
- 33:58Speaker 2: I will.
- 33:59Speaker 1: They're like, there's a man who I talk a lot
- 34:03Speaker 1: about amongst friends. It's Lou Wilson from Dropout TV, in
- 34:07Speaker 1: case anyone knows him, and I'll be like, I can't
- 34:10Speaker 1: wait to marry Lou Wilson and people are like, yeah, okay,
- 34:13Speaker 1: good for you, manifest that shit.
- 34:15Speaker 2: I go, And then I can't wait to.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Divorce him for Ashley Johnson from Critical Role, and they're like,
- 34:23Speaker 1: or I go, or.
- 34:26Speaker 3: He's cool with everything.
- 34:27Speaker 1: And then I'm like, and this is the chaos that
- 34:30Speaker 1: I wanted all along, and that's mine and I manifest
- 34:34Speaker 1: that every day.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Every day. I tell like, I.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Send a video and I'm like, look, it's my husband.
- 34:40Speaker 2: They're like, yeah, there he is.
- 34:42Speaker 1: And then I'm like, and the woman, I'll leave him
- 34:43Speaker 1: for it, and they're like, that's also her.
- 34:46Speaker 2: There she is.
- 34:47Speaker 3: But they get it.
- 34:49Speaker 2: They get it.
- 34:49Speaker 1: And Hillary Burton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are the They're
- 34:55Speaker 1: the polls of my bisexuality. They are the representation. Put
- 34:58Speaker 1: them on the platter to suffer, to summon me.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Just put a picture of them every time they're on
- 35:06Speaker 1: Instagram or in a magazine or anything. Julia Washington, who's
- 35:10Speaker 1: on this podcast, gets a lot, gets a DM where
- 35:14Speaker 1: it's like, these two are the hottest people I've.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Ever seen stand next to one another.
- 35:21Speaker 3: Is that fair? Oh yeah, well that was like me
- 35:24Speaker 3: recently learning that, like Robmy Mallick and Emma Corn are dating,
- 35:27Speaker 3: and I was like, oh, yes, I see this.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I was like, you know what, actually, correct, if they
- 35:33Speaker 3: can't have me, they should have each other. They should
- 35:35Speaker 3: have each other.
- 35:36Speaker 1: The only time the only time I was on board
- 35:38Speaker 1: with rap Boy Summer was when it was Sabrina Carpenter
- 35:41Speaker 1: and Sulburn. Then I was like, I like this, this,
- 35:45Speaker 1: this is toxic in a way that I'm hot for.
- 35:48Speaker 3: No, dude, the whole Barry Kyogan Sabrina Carpenter thing I
- 35:52Speaker 3: was so there for. And again I was there for it.
- 35:54Speaker 3: I support female musicians having a rap boy Summer because
- 35:59Speaker 3: I know I'm going to get the greatest album of
- 36:02Speaker 3: my life. Why because you have to, like you have
- 36:06Speaker 3: to pay a toll for making us all endure that
- 36:08Speaker 3: there is some major compensation and reparations that must be
- 36:11Speaker 3: paid when you date a wrap away. Yeah, And I
- 36:14Speaker 3: mean I also love a lot of Barry Kogan's work
- 36:17Speaker 3: as an artist. And I see it. I'm like, I
- 36:19Speaker 3: see the vision, I see the like I you know
- 36:22Speaker 3: what I truly saw. I don't know if this is true.
- 36:24Speaker 3: I think he's like an air sign. But what I
- 36:25Speaker 3: saw between them as I was like, this is a
- 36:27Speaker 3: very traditional earth sign chaotic water sign relationship. And I
- 36:31Speaker 3: was like, I support. It was a Watpad novel come
- 36:35Speaker 3: to life. It was I earned that.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Yeah, we all did.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Also, here's another figment of my bisexuality. Chris Pine in
- 36:46Speaker 1: his My aunt always had a roommate silk pajamas. My
- 36:51Speaker 1: mother will send me photos of Chris Pine in his
- 36:53Speaker 1: silk pajamas and loafers because that's what he's wearing twenty
- 36:56Speaker 1: four hours a day now. And she'll be like, in
- 36:58Speaker 1: his long, like raggedy hair, and she'll be like, what's
- 37:01Speaker 1: wrong with Crispine now? And I'm like nothing, He's perfect.
- 37:04Speaker 1: He's my prince. He's not Viking.
- 37:08Speaker 3: No, literally, I I don't think I have words to
- 37:11Speaker 3: describe my deep love of Crispine. And it started because one,
- 37:15Speaker 3: he's just he's funny and he's beautiful. Like to meet
- 37:17Speaker 3: somebody who's like beautiful and funny, that's hard for man.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Women do it all the time effortlessly. But like I
- 37:25Speaker 3: was like, damn. And then I saw a single quote
- 37:27Speaker 3: from him and it just sold me on him because
- 37:29Speaker 3: I was just like, oh, you're not like the rest,
- 37:31Speaker 3: which he said, I don't have time for sports, like
- 37:34Speaker 3: watching them, He's like, because I'm always reading my mom's
- 37:38Speaker 3: old book club picks. And I was like a man
- 37:42Speaker 3: who reads his middle aged mom's book club picks, a
- 37:47Speaker 3: man who's consuming the exact media I.
- 37:49Speaker 1: Need my love for Crispine is rainbow gay because of
- 37:53Speaker 1: the lesbian pajamas and that quote.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Okay and the end no he he for I think
- 38:01Speaker 3: so many bisexuals is the perfect specimen is because he
- 38:05Speaker 3: plans exactly what we love about everyone.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Yes, I Chrispied, if you're listening, and I know you are.
- 38:12Speaker 1: I love you, never changed.
- 38:16Speaker 2: I love number one. I love when my like.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Hollywood cuties become weirdos overnight and it's like we weren't
- 38:22Speaker 1: watching them closely enough and now all of a sudden,
- 38:25Speaker 1: they're a weirdo. Dan Stevens has recently done it.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Oh okay, see I didn't keep up with him. I
- 38:30Speaker 3: watched Chris Pine pretty closely. And this is like so
- 38:33Speaker 3: embarrassing in Santa podcast because my dad and his dad
- 38:35Speaker 3: worked together. So I'm like very like, I'm always just
- 38:39Speaker 3: like anytime I hear anything about like Robert Pine, I'm like,
- 38:42Speaker 3: is Chris coming along? I was like, I need it.
- 38:44Speaker 3: I was like, my husband hasn't seen me in ages.
- 38:47Speaker 3: My husband's never met me, but he doesn't need to
- 38:49Speaker 3: have clash. I'm always just like when my husband be there,
- 38:52Speaker 3: and like it's gotten to the point now where my
- 38:54Speaker 3: mom's like isn't he kind of weird? I'm like, no,
- 38:56Speaker 3: he's perfect.
- 38:56Speaker 2: He's perfect. He's by perfect prince.
- 38:58Speaker 3: And you know, I have to say honestly, my mom though,
- 39:01Speaker 3: was so supportive, like people like other people make jokes
- 39:03Speaker 3: when they're in the room. They're like, isn't the age
- 39:05Speaker 3: gap intents? My Mom's like for Noel and Chris, no, no,
- 39:09Speaker 3: and like, thank you for supporting that.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Yeah, he's perfect.
- 39:12Speaker 1: If your dad would like to email his dad that
- 39:14Speaker 1: I'm proud of him, I would love that.
- 39:16Speaker 3: It's just like we just put the dads on it, right.
- 39:19Speaker 1: My daughter's friend said on a hot mic that she
- 39:23Speaker 1: was proud of your son. She really wanted him to know,
- 39:26Speaker 1: and that she likes his jammis that he's wearing a
- 39:28Speaker 1: street clothes.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Like I as you see as a Taurus. That makes
- 39:32Speaker 3: me love him more. I also want to leave my
- 39:34Speaker 3: home and my jammies always.
- 39:36Speaker 1: When he when that one picture of him just like
- 39:39Speaker 1: going loafer first and the camera shooting up from the
- 39:42Speaker 1: loafer and the silk pajamos, I was like, yeah, put
- 39:45Speaker 1: that on my bisexual platter to summon me.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Yeah, see my And that's the thing. My bisexual power
- 39:52Speaker 3: is Chris Pine can be any iteration, but that photo
- 39:55Speaker 3: also works. And also Kate McKennon and if you really
- 39:58Speaker 3: want to go the extra mile, McKennon rapping and Hungarian. Yeah, yeah,
- 40:03Speaker 3: as a Hungarian girl. Yes, she's who I'm bringing home
- 40:06Speaker 3: to the village.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Yes, Oh who are my well? Hillary Burton? Oh and
- 40:13Speaker 2: Sophia Bush.
- 40:14Speaker 1: My oh, my baby gay icon who also in her
- 40:19Speaker 1: thirties with I feel like I'm it by Dick and
- 40:22Speaker 1: then found I'm here's what I'm waiting for. And because
- 40:26Speaker 1: like I'm a baby gay, I live in the Midwest,
- 40:29Speaker 1: I have no I truly do not know how to
- 40:31Speaker 1: date women.
- 40:33Speaker 2: So I'm just waiting.
- 40:34Speaker 3: No, no, no woman does.
- 40:35Speaker 2: No woman does.
- 40:36Speaker 1: And I'm truly just waiting for the gay adoption agency
- 40:39Speaker 1: to deliver me my soccer wife. I'm like, where's my
- 40:42Speaker 1: soccer player wife? Lennon got one, Sophia got one? Where's mine?
- 40:48Speaker 1: Where's mine? I feel like I'm as important, if not
- 40:51Speaker 1: more than those two, Like we're where's my soccer wife? Uh,
- 40:56Speaker 1: I'd watch soccer if my wife was playing.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Oh oh yeah, that's like the funny thing again. I
- 41:02Speaker 3: like you because it's the whole Taylor swift thing. I'm like, God,
- 41:05Speaker 3: she has got to be a stronger woman than me,
- 41:08Speaker 3: because I could not go to that many NFL games
- 41:10Speaker 3: and I couldn't learn to I could, I could not
- 41:12Speaker 3: learn to care. I'm sorry, my whole my My grandfather
- 41:15Speaker 3: was like a quarterback. All this shit. I've dated sons
- 41:17Speaker 3: of NFL players. I cannot care. I live so close
- 41:20Speaker 3: to the My connection to the NFL is too much
- 41:23Speaker 3: for me. I'm like, I cannot learn these rules. I
- 41:25Speaker 3: cannot give it up. But I think a Roman athlete
- 41:28Speaker 3: in any sport, I am learning everything. I will become
- 41:32Speaker 3: a sports doctor to be able to dissect, like if
- 41:35Speaker 3: I was dating any of those incredible gymnasts the way
- 41:38Speaker 3: I was learned about g force and gravity to understand
- 41:41Speaker 3: the impacts of their flips and the beams.
- 41:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:46Speaker 3: But I think it's also and here's the thing where
- 41:48Speaker 3: it all breaks down. I think it's very easy for
- 41:51Speaker 3: us to make these claims with women and are like
- 41:53Speaker 3: female crushes. Yeah, because female relationships are built so much
- 41:58Speaker 3: more in reciprocation.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Which is why I am drawn more.
- 42:02Speaker 3: To them exactly. And it's like, because I will hear
- 42:04Speaker 3: so many guys and I like to listen to the
- 42:06Speaker 3: complaints of men because I think it's interesting and it
- 42:10Speaker 3: reveals a lot, and they'll be like, why is it.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Women will have these outrageous things and say these outrageous
- 42:16Speaker 3: things about dating other women, but when it comes to men,
- 42:19Speaker 3: like they have no interest in that. I'm like, well,
- 42:21Speaker 3: because statistically speaking, we do anything for a man and
- 42:25Speaker 3: we're going to live to regret it. Yeah, we do
- 42:27Speaker 3: anything for a woman. And yes, even if she breaks
- 42:30Speaker 3: my heart runs me over with a truck, I still
- 42:33Speaker 3: have gone it is the best relationship I ever had. Yeah, Like,
- 42:36Speaker 3: the ending can be terrible, like it can be a
- 42:38Speaker 3: dumpster fire, but the relationship itself will have felt so
- 42:42Speaker 3: much more equitable. Again, there are exceptions to every rule here,
- 42:48Speaker 3: but it's like still the general consensus compared to dating
- 42:51Speaker 3: men is that the relationship's going to have a much
- 42:55Speaker 3: better balance and payoff. So it's like, Yeah, I will
- 42:57Speaker 3: build her a shelf, I will make her food because
- 43:01Speaker 3: you know what, when I am sick and vomiting, she
- 43:04Speaker 3: will take care of me and she will not make
- 43:06Speaker 3: me feel like shit for it. She will complain. My
- 43:08Speaker 3: lesbian wife would never complain about taking my kids to
- 43:11Speaker 3: the pumpkin patch. Never, oh I hated them ever in
- 43:15Speaker 3: front of her, never, in front of.
- 43:17Speaker 1: Her, well, in front of my kids, in front of
- 43:20Speaker 1: my cat. So my lens of the conversation that you
- 43:26Speaker 1: just had is from a woman who's just trying to
- 43:30Speaker 1: figure this out.
- 43:30Speaker 2: And be like, how approached wee?
- 43:32Speaker 3: Man?
- 43:33Speaker 2: Is Like my initial.
- 43:35Speaker 3: Fear is like who cares?
- 43:38Speaker 1: Like I've disappointed so many men, and I've never cried
- 43:41Speaker 1: or batted in an eye at it or even thought
- 43:43Speaker 1: about it. I just went, yeah, you deserve to be
- 43:46Speaker 1: disappointed and moved on.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, But to disappoint.
- 43:50Speaker 1: A woman, I feel like I would just turn into
- 43:53Speaker 1: a pillar of salt. I'd be like, I'm done here.
- 43:55Speaker 1: I've disappointed one woman. I don't deserve to live like
- 44:01Speaker 1: I'm a statue and that's what I deserve. Like it's
- 44:07Speaker 1: so scary conceptualizing how because I craved that like deep
- 44:12Speaker 1: reciprocal relationship with women, And it's why I knew that
- 44:17Speaker 1: dating men wasn't going to be it for me anymore,
- 44:21Speaker 1: because I'm like, I've just never liked a dude as
- 44:23Speaker 1: much as I've liked any woman.
- 44:25Speaker 3: That I've ever talked to.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's so scary because I'm like I've also
- 44:33Speaker 1: and I've said this before on the podcast, that I've
- 44:35Speaker 1: never dated authentically because you don't go authenticity first when
- 44:41Speaker 1: dating men. You never do, and you're trained not to no.
- 44:46Speaker 3: And I think that was one of the things that
- 44:47Speaker 3: I encountered really early on, because I became very aware
- 44:50Speaker 3: of my own sexuality very early on in life, regardless
- 44:52Speaker 3: of if I did or didn't pursue it, but a
- 44:54Speaker 3: lot of my early on experiences were with women first,
- 44:58Speaker 3: and I think that that programmed me differently because for me,
- 45:02Speaker 3: I approach so many of these things from more of
- 45:05Speaker 3: an equal stance, and for example, while in interviews and
- 45:08Speaker 3: these type of things, I'll often default like bisexual, pan
- 45:10Speaker 3: sexual for ease, I internally and at my core do
- 45:14Speaker 3: not use a label because I date individuals, and that's
- 45:17Speaker 3: just something I've always aligned with. More is because for me,
- 45:19Speaker 3: it's about regardless of so many elements, regardless of if
- 45:23Speaker 3: you present with masculine energy, feminine energy, regardless of anatomy,
- 45:27Speaker 3: all these things, there are inherent things I'm attracted to
- 45:31Speaker 3: across men and women, and if you really like look
- 45:34Speaker 3: at the people, you'll kind of see that physically it's
- 45:37Speaker 3: a very different level of things, but everyone that I've
- 45:41Speaker 3: dated or had crushes on all share core similarities in
- 45:46Speaker 3: who they are as people, and it's always things that
- 45:49Speaker 3: tend to align with my perception of the lifestyle we
- 45:51Speaker 3: would live, yeah, which is like I've discovered a big
- 45:54Speaker 3: thing for me with attractions. It's like I love the
- 45:56Speaker 3: idea of something hot and heavy and all of that
- 45:59Speaker 3: and that, but what I really love is like the
- 46:02Speaker 3: fun moments of like imagination and play and all of
- 46:06Speaker 3: those things that come into it and kind of like
- 46:09Speaker 3: that like established intimacy. And so it's always been really
- 46:13Speaker 3: funny for me with dating because so many times, like
- 46:17Speaker 3: my weird like imposter syndrome or all these little things
- 46:20Speaker 3: will pop up in such a like person by person
- 46:23Speaker 3: way that'll make it very complicated, just like decode and
- 46:26Speaker 3: be like, so, why did that rejection hurt me more
- 46:29Speaker 3: than others? And it will always break down to these
- 46:32Speaker 3: weird things that I like didn't realize. And when you're young,
- 46:35Speaker 3: you've got so much going on, and like everybody, especially
- 46:38Speaker 3: if you're a woman, everybody's telling you all the reasons
- 46:40Speaker 3: you should hate yourself. So when you get rejected, the
- 46:42Speaker 3: first thing is like, Oh, it hurt my feelings because
- 46:44Speaker 3: I don't think I'm like, they don't think I'm pretty,
- 46:46Speaker 3: And it's like, oh no, upon further review, that rejection
- 46:49Speaker 3: hurt because I actually been really vulnerable with them about
- 46:53Speaker 3: this part of me as like an actor or creative,
- 46:56Speaker 3: and then rejecting me didn't feel so much like they
- 46:58Speaker 3: rejected me based off of my appearance. That felt like
- 47:00Speaker 3: they rejected me because they didn't appreciate what I shared.
- 47:05Speaker 3: And it's like, so all of that gets like so
- 47:07Speaker 3: much more complicated. But it can be very hard when
- 47:09Speaker 3: your friends are predominantly heterosexually dating to understand that these
- 47:15Speaker 3: rejections can be much deeper if you're pursuing people in
- 47:18Speaker 3: a different way, because you're not pursuing someone based off of, oh,
- 47:22Speaker 3: you're a guy and you're single. I'm a girl. I'm single,
- 47:24Speaker 3: so I'm going to ask you out. Yeah, And when
- 47:26Speaker 3: you're not dating with these pretenses, you're not dating leading
- 47:29Speaker 3: anyone on. You instead date and you actually go actually
- 47:32Speaker 3: on this first date to see if we really have
- 47:34Speaker 3: something worth my time. I'm actually going to let at
- 47:36Speaker 3: least two freak flags fly. If you roll with it,
- 47:40Speaker 3: we will continue dating, and people couldn't understand how a
- 47:43Speaker 3: date like that, And like, if I'm going on a
- 47:45Speaker 3: date with a guy, second date, I'm not wearing makeup
- 47:48Speaker 3: maybe Mas Scara. I'm like, I cannot be bothered. Why
- 47:53Speaker 3: if they're going to see me the next morning when
- 47:56Speaker 3: I put makeup on my face tonight. No. Now, if
- 48:01Speaker 3: I'm going out with my galpas and we're having a
- 48:03Speaker 3: fun night out, I am dressing I'm a performer, I
- 48:05Speaker 3: am dressing up. But on a date, I have such
- 48:07Speaker 3: a hard time because I'm like why. I don't want
- 48:09Speaker 3: them to like suddenly decide they're not attracted to me
- 48:11Speaker 3: because what they fell in love with versus like the
- 48:13Speaker 3: billboard poster of.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Me right or the natural Kardashian look that we've all perfected.
- 48:19Speaker 3: Yeah exactly. I'm like, screw that, you're actually gonna see
- 48:22Speaker 3: me with like fucking deranged. And I had one ex
- 48:26Speaker 3: that like, I got into his car one time after
- 48:28Speaker 3: having spent like a couple of days at his place
- 48:30Speaker 3: and he had roommates, and I got on the car,
- 48:32Speaker 3: flipped the little mirror down. I saw what I looked like,
- 48:35Speaker 3: and I was like why. I was like, I just
- 48:38Speaker 3: had a whole conversation through rights, why didn't you tell me?
- 48:40Speaker 3: And he's like I thought it was intentional and I
- 48:43Speaker 3: was like, just don't look like this. She was like no,
- 48:50Speaker 3: and so I had to sit there and explain to
- 48:51Speaker 3: him that no woman wants to have eyelinerer on only
- 48:56Speaker 3: one eye.
- 49:00Speaker 1: And like, and that's a really good rule. Is like
- 49:02Speaker 1: go make up second date because again back like this
- 49:08Speaker 1: whole idea of like what does it look like when
- 49:11Speaker 1: I re enter the idea of naive let fallen in love?
- 49:15Speaker 1: And I'm like, but this time, I want to do
- 49:17Speaker 1: it authenticity first, like because I tried it when I
- 49:21Speaker 1: was on fake Love is Blind back in Dayton and
- 49:23Speaker 1: it was all on zoom, and I was just like,
- 49:26Speaker 1: I'm a witch, I love abortion, I'm a feminist.
- 49:31Speaker 2: My cat is my soulmate.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I was just telling you only in all the freak
- 49:35Speaker 1: flags because I was talking to a b link zoom
- 49:38Speaker 1: screen and I was like, who.
- 49:39Speaker 3: Cares what I tell this person.
- 49:42Speaker 1: I would be so good on Love is blying, because like,
- 49:44Speaker 1: if I'm not seeing you, you don't exist, I'll say
- 49:48Speaker 1: anything like I would be so comical on Love is Blind.
- 49:52Speaker 1: I'd just be sitting there eating my Chicago Mix popcorn,
- 49:55Speaker 1: just being like I don't know, and like my friend Annie,
- 49:59Speaker 1: like she got to paint my nudes because I saw
- 50:02Speaker 1: a TikTok where she was asking for nudes and I
- 50:04Speaker 1: sent them to her, and then that's ending up on Netflix.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Oh no, I mean again, I joke with my friends
- 50:12Speaker 3: and I'll be like, it is a running gag. I'm
- 50:14Speaker 3: just like, you don't understand. I don't like God rejected me.
- 50:19Speaker 3: My life is actually controlled by a staff of screenwriters,
- 50:22Speaker 3: and every once in a while, too many of them
- 50:26Speaker 3: get the flu and call out, and so then there
- 50:28Speaker 3: is the there's the writer's assistant. She is twenty one
- 50:31Speaker 3: years old. Her writing credits and experience are what pad
- 50:34Speaker 3: and she gets to write an episode of my life.
- 50:37Speaker 3: And for example, the last time that she got control
- 50:40Speaker 3: over the writer's room, I ended up working on Shaboozi
- 50:43Speaker 3: and Young Gravy. And there's a video somewhere of that happening. Okay,
- 50:47Speaker 3: no one needs to see it, it doesn't need to exist.
- 50:48Speaker 3: But it did happen. Why did it happen? I was
- 50:50Speaker 3: trying to rescue two of my friends, Okay, I didn't
- 50:52Speaker 3: realize that they were there voluntarily to get the free
- 50:55Speaker 3: drinks I didn't know. I'd also spent most of the
- 50:58Speaker 3: night babies and this other girl who was just like,
- 51:01Speaker 3: you know, needed babysitting. I didn't know her. She was
- 51:03Speaker 3: a stranger, but I did it right, and so you know,
- 51:07Speaker 3: I'm just like, no, this is screenwriter, And so I'm like,
- 51:10Speaker 3: I know that I would be crazy ONLL Love is Blind,
- 51:12Speaker 3: not because screenwriter would write that episode, but because I
- 51:15Speaker 3: would sit there and I would try to recount my
- 51:17Speaker 3: life and the players in it and how I end
- 51:19Speaker 3: up in these situations and be like, so, if you're
- 51:21Speaker 3: dating me, are you prepared for this? And if they
- 51:26Speaker 3: look at me and they're like, why do you make
- 51:27Speaker 3: these choices? And I say I don't. I just show
- 51:30Speaker 3: up and things happened. Yeah, no exactly, And honestly, I
- 51:38Speaker 3: think maybe that's why, like lifestyle is such a big
- 51:40Speaker 3: factor on who I crush on and like who I
- 51:42Speaker 3: choose to date. I'm like man woman and be anything
- 51:45Speaker 3: that your pronouns are like, can you go with whatever?
- 51:49Speaker 3: This is what pad girl does to my life.
- 51:52Speaker 1: I so I try to do it like the good
- 51:54Speaker 1: old authentic way where I was like I'll just say, well,
- 51:57Speaker 1: fucking ever, it's a blink zooms and he was laughing
- 52:02Speaker 1: and like follying back, And in my brain, I'm like,
- 52:04Speaker 1: that means you're into it, because you're because I had
- 52:08Speaker 1: another guy get off when we all finally like met
- 52:11Speaker 1: in person after the quarantine or whatever, and he was like,
- 52:14Speaker 1: when you started saying that you have a personal relationship
- 52:18Speaker 1: with all of the animals at the Columbus Zoo and
- 52:20Speaker 1: you speak to them and they know your voice by
- 52:23Speaker 1: like and like you just go in there and you're
- 52:26Speaker 1: like hello, my friends, and they all come towards you.
- 52:29Speaker 3: Like.
- 52:29Speaker 1: We talked in the men's room about how that's insane,
- 52:33Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, okay, so I was a
- 52:34Speaker 1: crazy one in the season.
- 52:35Speaker 3: That's great.
- 52:37Speaker 1: I made it out in a couple. He must really
- 52:40Speaker 1: like be considering where the I'm the crazy. And then
- 52:44Speaker 1: one day we were at a friend's house in his
- 52:47Speaker 1: pool and one of the guys from the Fake Love
- 52:51Speaker 1: Is Blind told his former college roommate, I don't know,
- 52:54Speaker 1: I was meeting one of his friends and I'm in
- 52:56Speaker 1: the pool and they're outside of the pool and he goes,
- 52:59Speaker 1: oh my god, this is Nadley. She was so funny
- 53:02Speaker 1: on the show. We all loved her so much, so personal,
- 53:04Speaker 1: so much personality, so many things to say, we love her,
- 53:09Speaker 1: and but like in a straight man way, however, a
- 53:11Speaker 1: straight man would say all that, and the man that
- 53:15Speaker 1: I'm letting penetrate me literally looks our mutual friend in
- 53:20Speaker 1: the eye and goes. I thought we all decided that
- 53:22Speaker 1: Nadley was a whack job who we were surprised even
- 53:25Speaker 1: made it on the show. And I was like, I
- 53:27Speaker 1: drowned myself. Now I'm just going to drown.
- 53:33Speaker 3: Oh, And I was.
- 53:35Speaker 1: Like, so I asked him eventually. I was like, I
- 53:38Speaker 1: thought that you were like into all my weird shit,
- 53:43Speaker 1: and he's like, I thought you were doing a bit
- 53:45Speaker 1: the entire time, and I was like, well I was,
- 53:48Speaker 1: but all of my bits are in true life fashion,
- 53:51Speaker 1: Like you don't just get bits.
- 53:54Speaker 2: No.
- 53:55Speaker 4: I hate that, Yeah, saw Red that whole story. I
- 54:01Speaker 4: get with his friend because his friend at least seems
- 54:03Speaker 4: nice and enduring narratively Comparatively, No, that's terrible, But.
- 54:10Speaker 3: I also get it. I dated a guy like the
- 54:12Speaker 3: most serious relationship and I could not be funny with him.
- 54:18Speaker 3: I hate that. It was the most I mean, anyone
- 54:23Speaker 3: who's read my book is familiar with a lot of
- 54:24Speaker 3: this relationship, but it was one of the hardest components.
- 54:28Speaker 3: So of course, you know, after the breakup, you date
- 54:30Speaker 3: a guy who you only laugh with, which is fantastic
- 54:33Speaker 3: by comparison. It's like, is there anything intellectual here at No,
- 54:36Speaker 3: But I'm laughing the whole time, So that's a huge one.
- 54:39Speaker 3: But no, I remember because it was just like any
- 54:41Speaker 3: time I would like even a little bit. And I'm
- 54:43Speaker 3: a chaotic bisexual, like, I'm sorry, And I'm not one
- 54:47Speaker 3: of those people. I'm not intentionally funny like I am
- 54:50Speaker 3: known for comedy in the la acting scene. Honey, it's
- 54:54Speaker 3: not I'm not trying to be funny. I'm just just
- 54:57Speaker 3: I'm sorry. Neither of my parents are neurotypical. My sister's nerdivergent.
- 55:01Speaker 3: Like I'm sorry, there's no I'm everyone I know is
- 55:03Speaker 3: part of the lgbtwo, like the Laquax, the Lacroix. Yeah,
- 55:08Speaker 3: I'm not gonna be normal and like I was, I'm sorry.
- 55:12Speaker 3: I was raised by like a bunch of hippies, homeschooled
- 55:14Speaker 3: on the mountain side of Colorado. The society's expectations of
- 55:18Speaker 3: a woman did not touch me until it.
- 55:20Speaker 2: Was too late until it was too late.
- 55:24Speaker 3: Like I'm gonna be weird. I'm gonna do weird voices
- 55:27Speaker 3: like oh my god. I'm known for like having a
- 55:30Speaker 3: slap happy hour, which is if I've been a week
- 55:33Speaker 3: too long, or I have not had enough food, or alternatively,
- 55:37Speaker 3: I have slept too much and had too much food,
- 55:39Speaker 3: I'm gonna get weird. I'm gonna have an hour and
- 55:43Speaker 3: during that hour, over the last fifteen minutes to be
- 55:45Speaker 3: spent with me laughing till I'm in tears over a
- 55:47Speaker 3: joke that is so funny I can't even say it
- 55:49Speaker 3: out loud because I'm laughing. Yes, I actually think that
- 55:54Speaker 3: makes me one of the greatest people on the planet.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Yeah, I it does.
- 56:00Speaker 1: Because I've also had people be like when I'm because
- 56:03Speaker 1: I can tell when I'm trying to be funny and
- 56:06Speaker 1: when I'm not trying to be funny, and it kind
- 56:07Speaker 1: of hurts my feelings that I get the.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Most laughs when I'm not trying.
- 56:11Speaker 1: So one time someone did say, like, Manly, you're just
- 56:14Speaker 1: so funny because you say things like well, and that's
- 56:16Speaker 1: how it is, and because I just say things like
- 56:19Speaker 1: they're absolute truth. I just went, yeah, it's probably the autism,
- 56:25Speaker 1: and then she laughed harder and wait, I don't think
- 56:27Speaker 1: you're autistic. And I was like, all right, well, the
- 56:29Speaker 1: jury's still out. No one will diagnose. No one's taking
- 56:32Speaker 1: this brain on. They won't diagnose. At this point, I
- 56:36Speaker 1: just tell people, so, I have an undiagnosed brain. I
- 56:39Speaker 1: know it has some of the letters, possibly all of them. Yeah,
- 56:45Speaker 1: but no one's tackling it, let alone trying.
- 56:48Speaker 2: To medicate it.
- 56:49Speaker 1: They'll only medicate my depression, which might also still be
- 56:52Speaker 1: my head. I'm not sure.
- 56:55Speaker 3: No. Well, it cracks me because people always like, so
- 56:58Speaker 3: do you have I'm like, look, going to a DIVERGI
- 57:00Speaker 3: see I have or kind of the boring ones. I've
- 57:02Speaker 3: got synesthesia so I hear color, congratulations, and I am dyslexic,
- 57:08Speaker 3: so good fucking luck texting me. And so it's funny
- 57:12Speaker 3: because everybody everybody's like, but you seem I was like, oh, like,
- 57:16Speaker 3: I have memory issues and I've got a crazy personality.
- 57:18Speaker 3: I talked to that. I'm like, thanks, baby, that's trauma.
- 57:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the trauma.
- 57:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's it's the trauma.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Like, yeah, honestly, those are the letters that I have.
- 57:27Speaker 1: The t R A U m A. That was a
- 57:30Speaker 1: real close one. I was like, do I know how
- 57:32Speaker 1: to spell trauma? I'm doing it on the mic.
- 57:34Speaker 3: You know you're solucky. I would not have known I'm dyslexic.
- 57:39Speaker 3: You're ready to get no support from me?
- 57:42Speaker 2: Right, You're just gonna be like, yeah, that's how Yeah.
- 57:45Speaker 3: That is there a second team? Maybe.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Listen.
- 57:49Speaker 1: Recently, some man who knew things about money and was
- 57:53Speaker 1: trying to help me with mine, ask me what are
- 57:55Speaker 1: your money goals? And I had to tell my mom.
- 57:58Speaker 1: I was like, hey, I'm not ignoring question. I just
- 58:01Speaker 1: have to like google what money goals are because I
- 58:03Speaker 1: don't have any, Like I have to ask.
- 58:05Speaker 2: Chat GPT what he meant, like, what are my goals?
- 58:09Speaker 3: Chat GPT? Again, that's such a man thing to ask
- 58:13Speaker 3: what are your money goals? No, I don't want to
- 58:15Speaker 3: be asked that. I want to be asked like, on
- 58:17Speaker 3: a scale of one to ten, what type of blanket
- 58:20Speaker 3: you want on your bed? Like those kind of fluffy
- 58:22Speaker 3: ones are like a faux shirple.
- 58:23Speaker 2: One, a cooling blanket?
- 58:26Speaker 3: No, exactly, like question weighted blanket, not weighted blanket.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Here's the thing I think that I truly am asociopath.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Because I bought myself a cooling blanket because I was like,
- 58:38Speaker 1: I get so hot and now I use the cooling
- 58:41Speaker 1: blanket as a shield to the real comforter that's making
- 58:46Speaker 1: me warm.
- 58:47Speaker 3: You know what. I can see the vision though, see it.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Yeah, because I think that's what bisexuality is, just wanting
- 58:53Speaker 1: to be like somewhere lukewarm.
- 58:56Speaker 3: Like just you know. It's like the hard thing with
- 58:58Speaker 3: bisexuality that you always go back and forth between is
- 59:02Speaker 3: do I want to have everything or do I want
- 59:06Speaker 3: a mid level of everything? Like like oh, like you
- 59:09Speaker 3: just you just you're forever stuck in the cycle where
- 59:12Speaker 3: you feel you know what here it is. Bisexuality is
- 59:15Speaker 3: perpetually playing Goldilocks and the Three Bears but never finding
- 59:20Speaker 3: the little bear at.
- 59:22Speaker 1: The right chair with the right porridge and the right
- 59:26Speaker 1: bed and the right bed.
- 59:28Speaker 3: Oh you never find it. That is a sexuality. You're
- 59:32Speaker 3: always going like mama bear, pop a bear. But it's
- 59:35Speaker 3: not right. Listen.
- 59:40Speaker 1: I hope at some point someone decoded the misogyny out
- 59:42Speaker 1: of this. I had bullet points where I was like,
- 59:45Speaker 1: by erasure, that's misogyny, did you know, listener, that's yeah,
- 59:51Speaker 1: it's missa and here's the thing. I'm like, why am
- 59:54Speaker 1: my man's playing misogyny to people? Where I'm like, did
- 59:56Speaker 1: you guys know that the reason why they won't believe
- 59:58Speaker 1: in by people is because of homophobia and misogyny?
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: There are so many talking points about how like we
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: try to like why we don't have femme bisexual relationships
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: shown how that continuous argument of who wears the pants
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: is just patriarchy. Like I came in with so many
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: talking points and instead what I like, I feel like
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: we instead appreciated the joy of.
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: Being bisection, yes, which we hardly get to do of
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: this show. Is it a like talk about the joy?
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: But like we also talked about it when we were
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: talking about saphic relationships and how it's like when you
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: enter queer relationships, do you still end up with these
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: really weird societal pressures and to be like, well, which
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: one of you's the man? And it's like, well, we
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: took a survey and we decided that we didn't want one.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Yeah, no exactly, And that's like the thing. And so
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: that's where I feel like this conversation is very funny
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: because aside from my couple like weird dating antidotes what
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: it is. We just really got to enjoy actually being
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: bisexual and the fact that there's no easy answer for it.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: But what we didn't solve is how am I going
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: to be brave about approaching women? And then you said
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: you won't be because it's not a thing.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: No, it's it's not. So here's the solution I've come
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: up with. Listen to this. Okay, it's called a wing woman.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: Oh so I have not experienced a wing woman working
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: for me when it comes to to date before maybe maybe,
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: but like it was with a man, so it doesn't count,
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: like I can't I can't remember it. Okay, But I
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: have learned also I should never be a wing woman
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: in a queer situation. I tried to wing woman for
- 1:01:44Speaker 3: my friend and instead I ended up with the girl.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: So that was a little complicated. Bad on me, I
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: mean to some degree, like and not my intention. I
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: can't help who she liked. I was her flavor. It
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: was a great time. We still talk. She wrote a
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: fanfic about me. It was beautiful. Again, this is why
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: we love. But I've just learned wing women. It's kind
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: of the only way that my friends who go like
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: to lesbian only bars end up meeting other lesbians. Is
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: you have to have one friend who, because it's not
- 1:02:12Speaker 3: their pussy on the line, will go up and do
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: it for you. They are also don't have to be
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: someone who would ever do it for themselves. They just
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: have to go. If Natalie doesn't get late tonight, I'm
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: going to walk into oncoming traffic. Therefore, I must make
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: this introduction happen. And that's the girl you take with
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: you and she. Alternatively, it could be a very a
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: very great ally man. He could be a panman, a
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: gay man himself, but you just need you need someone
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: who truly, truly feels that sense of the headlights coming
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: towards them if you do not get a woman's phone number.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: The other misogyny point that's a real mindfuck for me
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: and keeps me off of dating is the I can't
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: get O. We're this like degrassy media like TV subpoint
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: point that like women who have been queer their entire
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: life do not want to train me.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: They're like em not you a baby.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: I feel like, and this is gonna be really controversial
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: hot take. I feel like there are people who are
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: the LGBTQ equivalent of a fuck boy. We're not interested
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: in that. What you need is a love connection. Yeah,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: that's what I want because I feel like again and
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: maybe this is again my own projection. I truly think
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: regardless of gender, gender identity, biology, any of that. If
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: someone that I truly was developing feelings for looked at
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: me and was like, hey, I am a virgin period, Like,
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: it doesn't matter what type of sex, just any type
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: of sex. I am truly a virgin. The most I've
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: done is ever kissed, I'd be like, okay, so I
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: get to train you to do it how I only
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: like it and you have to. But I think that
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: thing is like you have to have and this is
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: the thing. I think I could only do that though,
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: with someone who's a good sense of humor and can
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: laugh at themselves, because we're not going to get through
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: that unless we can laugh at each other. For example,
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: there was a guy. He did things his own way,
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: and I was like, you're doing that fine, I prefer
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: it like this, And you know what, power to this man?
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Truly powered to this man. You could tell he was
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: like raised by a sister he and not in like
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: an incest way. I need to clarify that raised by
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: sister in the sense of he knew how to take
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: notes from a woman in any situation, took the note,
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: went home. Don't know how he studied, I don't care,
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: came back not only did what I asked, embellished on
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: what I said my preference was executed it beautifully and
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: was so happy, like a little puppy about it, because
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: like as soon as he was done, he was like,
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: was it better? He's like, was it better? And it's like, yes,
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: it was much better. Treat Yeah, I know exactly. It's
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: like that's energy in the coupling that is necessary with it.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: So it's about finding someone who's like, who's also looking
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: for for something meaningful, who wants to share in the
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: fact that you would leave them for hair braiding with,
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: you know, ba Batista, Ba Batista.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Here's the thing.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: When people ask me what my kink is and I
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: literally have no idea, I go, I just like to
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: laugh in bed, and I didn't realize that not everyone
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: likes to do that. Like people are like, why are
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: you always laughing? And I'm like, I'm having a fun time.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I thought we were having a fun time.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: No, I swear I'm one of those people. Again, maybe
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: I'm crazy. The best experience, in my opinion, is and again,
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: maybe it's because i'm a t toorus, maybe it's because
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: I'm an artist, Maybe it's because i'm you know, outside
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: the realm of misogyny. I think the best is when
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: you spend a night with a partner and in a
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: course of the night, you have had steamy sense, you've
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: had romantic sex, and you've had funny sex. I want
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: all three. I don't have like a little bit of
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: all three in there. I don't think I'll have had
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: as good of an experience as I could, you know exactly.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: And the first time I'm with someone, I wanted to
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: be funny. I wanted to be a little bit of funny.
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: Yeah, because you like number one, Like, sex is weird.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: It's a little like, you know what, if you think
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: about it too hard, it's a little gross. And Craig
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: Ferguson has like a whole stand up bit about it
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: that's phenomenal. Think about it. Two heard it's a little gross.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: One time I had sex with a man that I
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: had done for six years, like and like I was
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: a grown up now. I had known him when I
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: wasn't a grown up. We were having sex as grown ups,
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and he just kept boring his eye contact with me,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: directly into my eyes. I was like, we've never done this,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Like we've taken car rides, we've gone to movies, we've
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: held hands at stake in shake just as friends, like
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: we've never what stop looking at me?
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: You weirdo? Like no laughing. I'm like, why aren't we laughing? No?
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: Like there's there's just so many things. It's also like
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: when you know, when you know someone emotionally so well, right,
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: and then they see a part of your bid and
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: they never seen before, Like they discover like a birthmark
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: and they'll be like, whoa where did that come from?
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: I'm like I've had that since birth And they're like really,
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: And I'm like, dude, you know me up here in
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: my brain. You don't know my body, Like hold up now,
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: don't speak with that kind of authority. And it's like
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: it's okay if it's funny, if there's like a joy
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: to it. If they're like, oh wait, you have a birthmark,
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: like where did that come from? Cute? Adorable? I can
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: tell a funny ansidote. If they're like, where did that
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: come from. I'm like, you do you think? Who do
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: you think you are? Antonio Banderaz? Get the fuck out
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: of here? Okay, put some boots, leap, yeah, ladies back on,
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: good bye.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: I'm like, and people are like, only that's not normal
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: to be turned off by eye contact.
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: And I was like, well I was. I was like,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: stop stop it.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Like you know, I'm one of those people. I think
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: it's entirely possible to be turned off by quite literally
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: anything anything, if it's any and this is I'm like,
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: it comes down to the person. I can have one
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: person do something and be like, m okay, never again learned.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: I don't like that. I can have somebody else do it,
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: or I'm like, you know what, for you, maybe we
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: can figure it out. I'm not saying I like it.
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: I'm just saying it's not gonna stop. What's already in motion.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Yeah, And I'm like yeah, so like sex is weird
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: to begin with. I love doing bits, Like I'm like,
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: why wouldn't we do bits? We're always doing bits. It's
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: how I got you here to begin with.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: I had one friend tell me and I thought this
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: was the greatest thing ever. She's like, my boyfriend and
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: I don't role play, but we do improv our sex.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: Love that that sounds amazing.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: You're playing Game Changer in the in the bedroom?
- 1:08:41Speaker 3: What up?
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: Drop Out TV? I love that?
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: Oh literally? And again, I think and I think that
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: also again because so many people that are part of
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: the LGBTQ community, and so many pan and bisexual people
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: have already had to fight back from society telling them
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: that they are sexual or their attraction or their interests
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: or their pleasure is already so wrong just inherently that
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: it has freed it up for so much more play
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: and fun and acceptance of foreplay. And you, especially when
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: you're not focused on purely penetrative sex, get to expand
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: the definition of sex to be so much more experience based,
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: and inherently it is so much better then. And that's
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: why I feel like there are so many people out
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: there for yourself, for anyone who's just starting to get
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: out there with It's like, look, you can find someone
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: who just wants to play, and it's okay if they
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: have to teach you the game. I just think a
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: lot of misogyny comes around and trying to tell us that, like,
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: like it doesn't tell us. It just hypes up these
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: outlayer voices who for whatever reasons, and I think there's
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: a lot of truth in speaking to like the I'm
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: burnt out, I don't want to be somebody's phase, because
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: it's about talking about not being taken advantage of and
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: not being like, just because you had a shitty breakup,
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: don't break my heart. And I think that that part
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: of it and that clarification is wonderful. Or I don't
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: want you to just use my body. I'm not going
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: to teach you all these things just for you to
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: go back to your shitty acts, you know. Like, I
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: think there's a lot of fairness in that, because I
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: think that there are a lot of people who I
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: think are not always don't always lead with their heart
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: because again, they don't realize the difference in relationships outside
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: of the lens of misogyny, which is like, hey, don't
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: be unkind to someone just because you've only ever been
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: in unkind relationships.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Oh what what a line? Put it on a T
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: shirt like I number one. Now in our Dave Fatista
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: rom com there has to be a scene where they're
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: playing zip SAPs in the bedroom because now we're improving
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: in the bedroom. I want to be friends with your
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: friends with zip SAPs.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: I have it like that's how I want every orgy
- 1:10:57Speaker 3: to start. Plea yes, zip STAPs.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: And you're just eliminating people. It's like, okay, you two
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: in the corner kissing. Yeah, no exactly, it's like that
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: weird Listen the second hand embarrassment I got during Drive
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: by Dolls with the like basement makeout party but I love.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: I was like, is this a thing? And can I
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: sign up?
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: Or is it only a thing with twenty somethings? Have
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: I aged out?
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: Like okay, but hear me out. You're a writer, I
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: feel like, if you haven't already, I want the Midwest
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: indie comedy about a bunch of women who later in
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: life are getting either back out on the dating scene
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: or are discovering that they want to start dating women
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: and they form like a lonely hearts club, but it's
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: a basement makeout club for late bloomers. We have to
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: write this. Wait, hear me out, guys.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Hear me out guys. Number one part of the reason.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: And now we're just talking about why I'm bad at
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: writing even though I'm good at it. I so I
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: craved the writer's room. It sucks sitting down to write
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: something by yourself.
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: That sucks.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I'm like I had to come up with all of
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: it and decide that the jokes are good.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: That sucks.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: Where are the team of people to be like, you're
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: on to something? Their kid like?
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: Oh no, it's why I've almost I predominantly have worked
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: in like writing pairs like cornerships co writers. I why
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: why why me?
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: Why just me? Why just me?
- 1:12:31Speaker 3: Me?
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: You spending time with me and with my own thoughts? Ah,
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: I hate it again.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: It goes back to the mprov in the bedroom, like
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: I just want somebody. I just want somebody to play with.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: I was a lonely child on the playground.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: I was so lonely on the playground before the popular
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: girl at school, uh in third grade was like, why
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: don't you just come over here instead of singing your
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: weird little song over there? Oh, don't you just come
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: over here and hang out with bus? Because I was
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: pretty popular in school and I had the mentality of
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: a lonely girl.
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: You see, I was the opposite. I was theoretically despiping homeschool.
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: It's semi popular because it was a small town but
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: I always opted to play on the swing by myself
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: because I was like, y'all are wow, I want to
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: hear what's cooking up here? I was writing. I was
- 1:13:19Speaker 3: writing fan Fix on the swing set. I was like,
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: leave me alone.
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: I would sit underneath the jungle gym I don't know
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: that dome thing, and I would make up new lyrics
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: to the Brandy Cinderella Roger Hammerstein's song in my own
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: little Corner, in my own little chair, and I would
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: just like rhyme India with things. I'm like, I'm not
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: rhyming now, I'm not doing it.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: But I would just sing. And finally the popular girl was.
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: Like, hey, you with the weird song like you in
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: your drama, Why.
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: Don't you just come over here?
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: And I was like, what but my one act show
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: that I doing for my beanie babies.
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: No exactly, and you know what that is? Exactly how
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: you get a woman to fall up with you at
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: the bar?
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Honestly, I remind my one act baby song, So how
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: I think that I'm going to get my love story?
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: And maybe this can go into our new series about
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: the Women and the Lonely Hearts Club for women who
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: went to date women. We have in my hometown. It
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: hasn't opened yet, but one of the restaurants is also
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: doing like a.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: Karaoke bar situation.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: But the theme of the karaoke bar is there are
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: animatronic Founding Fathers.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the face you should be making.
- 1:14:44Speaker 3: Okay, Yeah at home listeners, I'm so beyond confused. Yeah,
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: so is it the Founding Fathers? And this is so gaming?
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: Ask is it the Founding Fathers? And like a you
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: got an American flag stick or on the back of
- 1:15:00Speaker 3: your truck or like in the Hamilton.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Yeah, way, I think it's to choose your own adventure
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: because they're just animatronics.
- 1:15:09Speaker 3: I've got so many So is this eventually going to
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: be five Nights of Freddy's but with the animatronics? Like
- 1:15:16Speaker 3: I've is it Abraham Lincoln and Disneylan Like I've got
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: so many questions.
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: We all have so many questions. Why won't they open
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: this up already so I can get in there? Because
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: I think that the way I'll make my love connection
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: is when because I sing it every day to my nephew,
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: I perform perfectly Nope for No Pink Pony Club while
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: grinding on President Abraham Lincoln as because what.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: Else am I supposed to?
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: I know, I'm going to get kicked out of this bar.
- 1:15:44Speaker 3: Yeah, but also fun fact about me, it seems like
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: maybe my ancestor was one of Abe Lincoln's boyfriends. Yeah,
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: so I support the gay agenda because Abe Lincoln supported
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: my CAYR great grandfather.
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: It's great trivia. You can look up Abraham Lincoln and
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: Captain Fancher. Oh, you can get on Google. The Google
- 1:16:10Speaker 3: gives the like very heterosexual account of the story. But yeah,
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: their family story always springles in a little bit more
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: because of Captain Fancher's letters to Lincoln. So enjoy that, historians.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Yeah, so I'm going to get kicked out of this
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: bar because I can't believe. I can't imagine that in
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Northwest Indiana they want me and my gay agenda coming
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: in and being like I'm mounting President Lincoln and singing
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: Pink Pony Club and I brought boas for every one.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: I think, actually they should make you the manager.
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Honestly, I don't what did you think?
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: And like when they try to kick me out because
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: I'm being belligerent, I'm gonna be like, what did you
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: think was going to happen in the bar with the
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: with robot uh tamas Jefferson and I'm not going to
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: sing Lizzo's uh yeah while humping President Jefferson. What did
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: you think was gonna happen in this bar? I need
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: to know what were your plans? Because that's what I'm
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: gonna do.
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I don't I ask you don't think
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: they had They didn't think about this, right?
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: How did you know?
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: I mean? Also, hold up, imagine this. I hear all
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: of this, and I raise you. Imagine you singing on
- 1:17:27Speaker 3: Holy Oh Wall while grinding on George Washington.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: Oh yeah, just like make a playlist and it's whatever
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: I'm saying. I'm grinding on a founding father.
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: Like literally, oh, throw some Ricky Martin.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: In there, and like I'm doing like, hey, everyone, remember
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: when we all gave Riverdale a shot and Lily did
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: that really weird strip tease to sad World or whatever
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: that's Strange World or whatever that songs called.
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: Dude, she's such a queen.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: She's such a queen.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: But like we were all weirded out by it. I'm
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: doing that on a founding father.
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: Oh no, exactly. I was like she she said, Look,
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: I don't get to make choices. I cash checks and
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: support her for that. But what were they thinking?
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: What were they thinking?
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: And are girl through that?
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: Putting our girl through that with her mother in the
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: room and a Sprouse twin. Well, this has been fantastic,
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: always high brow information that I think we changed lives today.
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: We changed my life today. You have we're doing. We're
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: doing trickle down economics, we're doing with change.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: Listen, the next time I'm in La, I'm calling you,
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: and the next time you're in Chicago, you're calling me.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: And the things that we'll get up to and we'll
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: livestream it or something I don't know. I'm always threatening
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: to live stream my life, like we'll just live stream it.
- 1:19:00Speaker 3: No, we will, we will. We will go somewhere chaotic
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: in Chicago and we'll live it up. We'll start the
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: night at Mary's Hamburger's. Yes.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: My favorite bit is when someone tells me like, so
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: this is super secret and I don't want you to
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: tell anyone, and then I immediately go should I turn
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: off TikTok life? It's my favorite bit I get. I
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: don't think anyone else's left because I do it all
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: the time. Whenever someone's like, so I wrote about this
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: person in my book, and I'm going to tell you
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: what their real name is. But I don't want you
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: spreading this around. And I'm like, should I turn off TikTok?
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Life?
- 1:19:35Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: Should I? I don't know?
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: It was just add actually not only The plan was
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: that I don't know that they don't. Oh, I can't
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: get start for deformation?
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: Right? Should we turn it off now and restart it?
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: And restart it? Okay?
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: Ban ahead, ahead, go ahead?
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Yeah. I love the Internet. The Internet brought Noel together.
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: No I did.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: I did.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: What do you think is the best message and or
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: lesson you could pass on to any woman who's questioning
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: her sexuality or is starting the time old tradition of
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: experimenting or whatever.
- 1:20:21Speaker 3: I think that the best thing to do is stop
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: listening to anybody else. You're going to get some good advice,
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: but honestly a lot of what you're going to get
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: are things that are going to because we like to
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: problem solve, instead of hearing all the ways that it
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: could go right, you're going to hear every single bit
- 1:20:37Speaker 3: of advice somebody says, and hear how it could go wrong.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: And that's going to cause you more distress than if
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: you just give yourself permission to be exactly who you
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: are and that you don't have to know this whole
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: thing of percentage wise. You know, I don't care what
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: the statistics of the types of people I date are.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: I don't. I gave up caring. You don't have to
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: prove your sexuality to anyone but you. It is a
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: lifelong journey. It does not go away. Other people's opinions
- 1:21:09Speaker 3: really really don't matter.
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I so part of that, like fun trauma brain
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: that I have, the tr a uma brain is that
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: when someone says something to me, like women don't want
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: to date women who didn't realize they didn't want to
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: date women until they were thirty five, that becomes a rule.
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: Like I'm like, oh yeah.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: And like it's so dangerous that this is how my
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: brain is wired. And I know it's some sort of
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: misogyny that I haven't like stumbled into about like why
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: my brain wired this way.
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: But it could be a.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: Rule from a show as stupid as Degrassy. Someone says
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: it on de Grassy, and my brain's like, and now
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: we can't do that anymore, Like and it'll be like
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: silly things like you don't eat that with cheese, and
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, you can't just put cheese on that.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: And it's like, you can put cheese on anything. If
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: you're trying hard enough, if you're finding the right cheese,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: you can do it.
- 1:22:06Speaker 3: It's like that famous Tumblr post where it's like, I
- 1:22:09Speaker 3: paid this much in therapy to complain about how I
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: think my day starts off bad because I have to
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: eat breakfast food for breakfast. In my therapist said, you
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: literally don't. You don't. You can eat anything for breakfast
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: and it counts as breakfast. Somebody's like, I pay one
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: hundred and seventy five dollars to be told that I
- 1:22:25Speaker 3: have permission to eat anything for breakfast.
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: Yeah, include you know what I love to do in
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: the fall. I love to get a Marine calendar apple
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: pie Dutch apple pie because apple pie is bullshit. If
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: it doesn't have the crumbles, it has to have the crumbles.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: And then I bake it on a Sunday night and
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: for that entire week, I have a apple Pie a
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: La mode for breakfast because I'm like, it's apple strudle,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: like it's a it's a toaster strudle. That's just in
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: buye for Yeah.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: Literally again, I think those kind of rules are made
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: up also board noes. I could die within two hours
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: of breakfast. I should start my day off with what
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: makes me happy exactly. It could be the best or
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: worst day of my life. But I know that starting
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: off any story by saying, so my day actually start
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: when I had apple pie with ice cream for breakfast,
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: like any day is automatically more interesting to me. Yeah,
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: I start the story like that exactly.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: So like my brain will make a rule like that,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: and it's what kept me on the straight and narrow.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: As PC Musgraves has called it, Oh, I love a
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: queer anthem. She didn't mean to make a queer anthem
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: for me.
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: That is it, dude, it's my anthem.
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: So what's the song called. It's not Rainbow. It's follow
- 1:23:44Speaker 2: your Arrow, Follow your Arrow, thank you. I was like,
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: I know, I know what this song.
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: Is, which I love that song. That was her apologizing
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: for being homophobic. She was like, I actually learned that
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: it was wrong for me to be this way, so
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: she wrote an apology song.
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: Do you know how often I was just Midwest homophobic
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: without realizing that that's homophobia. Oh, I wish I could
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: get to the misogyny point of my brain. That's like,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: if anyone is on the TV or is older than you,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: or is just more put together than you, and they
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: say something that's a rule, including anything about your sexuality,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: I think it's so important to like just be like
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: none of this fucking matters, Like.
- 1:24:24Speaker 2: We have we figured that out, yet none of this matters.
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: Like no, I have a friend that has a sign
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: that's so good it goes. Do you think this mattered
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: to the dinosaurs when the asteroid hit?
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: No, T shirt or no? And I'm like, you know what,
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: because it's just absurd enough to actually register in my brain.
- 1:24:42Speaker 3: I'm like, I actually don't think the dinosaurs had an
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: established society. But also, you know what, you're fuck, You're
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: right when the asteroid came to hit, did it matten? No?
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: No? And that's so much of these rules.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: So I'm just like hurdling more and more into my
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: thirties with this dumb rule that I'm unlovable because I was,
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: like what late to the game. I was also a
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: straight late late bloomer, like you boys are like high
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: school boys. You men, men who are grooming you because
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: you're a high schooler ew like I like I was
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: a late bloomer there too.
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: So like also college prap boys. You you know it.
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: It's tough out there.
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: It's tough out.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: There when you've decided that your only option is men
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: who like football, like Taylor call me.
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: You don't have to do this.
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: I'm so bored with it, Like, can I be honest
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: with you, I'm so bored of Kelsey.
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: I'm over it. But yeah, I forgot what my lesson was.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: I feel like it was really profound, but I think
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: it's Yeah.
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: I think I'm just gonna be.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Like, follow your arrow wherever it goes, unless it follows
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: you to homophobia and then fuck you, why did.
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: Your arrow go there?
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: That was bad?
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: Watch Bross.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: It makes me so mad. That's straight people didn't show
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: up for Bros. And then Billy Agner had to call
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: them out about that to be like, well, maybe if
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: straight woman showed up for Bros, we'd be getting a sequel,
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: and I'm like, god, damn it.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: So one of the biggest reasons in entertainment that lesbian
- 1:26:16Speaker 3: stories are underrepresented is because straight women will not watch
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: lesbian stories.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: I love lesbian stories.
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: Yeah, but you're not straight.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: Sweet damn it.
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: That's what this whole episode is about. You know what's
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: fun when people are really mad about a show that
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: came out like thirty or forty years ago, Zena the
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Warrior Princess and they're rewatching it, going, is this gay?
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: And I'm like, it's always been gay, That's why we
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: were watching it.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: Why were you watching it?
- 1:26:44Speaker 3: Like?
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: No?
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: What was hilarious was I had one friend who's like
- 1:26:47Speaker 3: og crushes were on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and so's
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: with that had only ever seen the daytime TV edit
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: that we made the kiss.
- 1:26:55Speaker 5: Oh, so we were there world shatter on YouTube, on
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: the floor on a phone, tears streaming, and this friend
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: literally was like, if I had known this years ago,
- 1:27:07Speaker 5: my dating life would have been so much better. She's like,
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: my sexual identity would have been filled so early on.
- 1:27:15Speaker 5: And sure enough, I will not I will not lie
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: to you. After watching that episode, her femsam relationships through
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: the roof happiest, healthiest they've ever been.
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: Is it purely because of the vampires. I don't know,
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: but it seems like more than a coincidence.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: I love to get give Sarah Mitchelle Geller credit for everything,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: like I don't. I don't think she gets enough credit.
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: But in my book, she makes the world go round.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: I'm like Sarah Mitchelle Geller does every lady. Also, Matthew
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: Lillard told me hello at gen Con and in my
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: entire year, he's so nice.
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: I freaking love Matthew. He is a gem.
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: I remembered my we talked long enough, I remembered my lesson. Yeah,
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: so things get made a rule my head. But then
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: my best friend started combating the rules to be like.
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: Taylor Tombinson has this bit about her experimentation with sexuality
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: where she's like, I don't want to learn new things.
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: Learning new things is hard. I can't be bad at
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: one more thing. And I used to be like yes,
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: And that's why I've never tried Taylor, because Taylor Tombinson
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: and I sometimes.
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: Live parallel existences. But my friend said this.
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: When I went my dad told me that driving in
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: the mountains from LA to Modesto was going to be scary, scary, scary.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: And then I got onto the mountains and it was
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: a four way highway, And what's ever been scary about
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: a four way Highway. Now mountains do get treacherous because
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: of rain in bullshit or whatever. And it was a
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: sunny day and my friend said, stop listening to other people.
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: You've always learned to do whatever it is you want
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: to do or not want to do. But had to like,
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: you can learn anything, including sex stuff, even though it's weird.
- 1:28:59Speaker 3: Cuche. There is one girl on TikTok, can't remember her
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: during COVID taught me some new tricks and I was like, wait,
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: you can learn sex stuff.
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: You can learn sex stuff at any age. It's not
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: like I mean you.
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: Honestly, I would hope you could learn sex stuff at
- 1:29:15Speaker 3: any age, just because I'm like it, GE's so boring.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: Listen, there was that whole Hulu movie Good Luck Leo
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Grande where Emma Thompson at like upper sixties, early seventies,
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: was like, my husband died and I've never.
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: Orgasm, so you try.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: Here's some money, and she learned some shit and we
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: got to see like Emma Thompson Lake semi nude, which
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: is like something I never knew that I craved. But
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: it's like I do want to see older women just
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: being like I would like to come please and then
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: like fulfilling that.
- 1:29:50Speaker 3: No, exactly, no, please do that? Also, can we please
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: cast the woman from Ted Lasso and Everything? I need
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: that dommy mommy in my life. Yes, we love her.
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: Just give me more, Just give me more middle aged women.
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: Yes, we love middle aged women, middle age mommy women
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: like boys. Give us the Dungeon mommies.
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: I don't care if they're late bloomers or not. I
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: need them in everything.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: We also now have to write a show called Dungeon Mommies. Yes, yes, yeah,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: or get it on VH one as a reality TV
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: show with Brett Michaels. If we did both, we can
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: do both. Yeah, yeah, the first ever both because Rock
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: of Love was also fiction. I found out too late
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: in life.
- 1:30:36Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: Yeah, he was married with one of his baby babies
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: moms during that whole production, and no one knew but Brett.
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: I guess.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: So more you know, the more you know. Brett Michaels
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: is a liar, is what I'm saying. What's a manifestation
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: that you would like to put into the general collective
- 1:30:55Speaker 1: about people who are, you know, looking to jazz it
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: up a little bit, but are afraid to me?
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: I think again, the biggest thing is patience understanding as well,
- 1:31:11Speaker 3: that just because you have hit one milestone in your
- 1:31:14Speaker 3: journey does not mean that you have curbed all of
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: the internal criticism that came from external sources. And I
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: think it's one of those things where just because it
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: seems challenging doesn't mean it's not worth the reward. And
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: by that I mean I think that it can be
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: so confusing and so scary to be in a relationship
- 1:31:39Speaker 3: that challenges little basic rules that we didn't even realize
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: exist because we model them after heterosexual relationships and ways
- 1:31:48Speaker 3: that negatively impact our self image or our concept of
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: healthy love. So I think it's one of those things
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: where just because a partner is asking more of you
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: as far as communication or different things than any of
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: your male partners did, doesn't mean that they're high maintenance
- 1:32:07Speaker 3: or that they're difficult. It just maybe means that they
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: have a more evolved concept of what a healthy working
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: relationship looks like.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I would say I was blown away during Queer
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: Ultimatum just by the conversations alone, and then don't worry,
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: eventually it got toxic.
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: Too, and I was like, Ah, they're just like us.
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: People are people. People are people.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: But yeah, like the whole patience and not labeling we're
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: you know, we're just like programmed to believe so many
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: things about women that then when you want to love women,
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: you find yourself instead just tearing them down.
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: Oh yeah, well, I think it's again getting through this
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: whole idea of seeing women as competition that can get
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: so hard in relationships. Like I remember being a teenager.
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: When you're a teenager, it's the time where everybody's very insecure,
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: And I remember one person being like, so, what would
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: you do if you're dating another woman and you thought
- 1:33:06Speaker 3: she's prettier than you? And this was like a group
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: of conversation between a month a bunch of us, and
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: we were just all kind of talking in that very
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: safe space where none of us felt the need to
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: have an answer instantly. We're all like, yeah, what would
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: I do if my partner is prettier than me? Because like,
- 1:33:19Speaker 3: when you're dating a guy, it's supposed to be like
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: lucrative that he's prettier than you. But then as a girl,
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: you're like, was it supposed to make me sad am?
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: I supposed to be happy? What do I do if
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: she thinks she's prettier than me and all these things,
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: and ultimately, again we all came down to the conclusion
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: that seems so simple, but it's like, if I loved her,
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: would I care? And it's like, no, if we actually
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: cared about each other, it does not matter who has
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: bigger tits, who has longer legs, who's this, who's that,
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: because again it breaks down to being so much more
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: about the individual. And again you're gonna have to fight
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: to prove to the world that your relationship or your
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: sexuality is valid, So you might as well do it
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: with one that actually aligns with you, because you're never
- 1:33:59Speaker 3: gonna make everybody happy. There's literally no way if you
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: are anything but cis white, straight, heterosexual male to make
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: everybody happy. And even then a lot of us see
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: through the bullshit anyway. So it's it's like you honestly
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: just have to I think, uh yeah, I just embrace
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: embrace yourself as you are. And it's kind of those
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: things where it's like, take what makes you the best
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: version of yourself and you have to leave everything else
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: at the door, Like for like this podcast, any shit
- 1:34:30Speaker 3: that I said that doesn't ring true, doesn't register, isn't
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: helping you evolve. Fuck that shit thrown in the trash
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: can light on fire if it helps you and you
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: feel like it empowers you to be that person you
- 1:34:41Speaker 3: know you're capable of being awesome. Keep it, hold on
- 1:34:44Speaker 3: to it. The second it stops being useful, get rid
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: of it.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I think, like I think my manifestation like you
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: Judio's patients, and I went, oh, mine is grace because
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: with patience and with the whole, like, you actually get
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: to choose what resonates with you and what does it.
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: We don't always give ourselves the grace to actually give
- 1:35:06Speaker 1: us credit for evolving or even to evolve, because we're
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: like like, my sister likes to bring up the fact
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: that when I was fifteen, maybe no, I was younger
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: because I was riding my bike to the Blimpy So
- 1:35:23Speaker 1: when I was younger than fifteen, my sister had bought
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: a Blimpey sandwich and had put it in the fridge.
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: I got home later than everyone asked my mother, Hey,
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: what had been for dinner? And she went, there's a
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: Blooby sandwich in there. Ate it got food poisoning because
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: you can't just trust that mayo. After an hour got
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: food poisoning whatever. And my sister to this day will
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: be like, do you remember when you just let yourself
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: eat my blimpy sandwich? I go the blimomy sandwich I
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: was gas lit into believing was my dinner and then
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: gave me food poisoning.
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: Like we let things like that go.
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: And I've always been selfish and I've never grown since
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: or whatever, like I'm still.
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: That eight year old who eats people's.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: Sandwiches and throws fits if she has to take the
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: garbage out and like all of that. But you gotta
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: give yourself grace, Like Liza, we all deserve to love women.
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: Women are fantastic.
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: Yeah, well to that so much. What I always have
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: to remind myself is the earliest core version of myself
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: is not hoterosexual. She did not know that there was
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: those concepts. She just was. And so like any time
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: that there is, there's those feelings of you know, kind
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: of like that imposter syndrome, or that I'm not good
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: enough or I haven't did enough, or what if my
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: like you know, score percentage isn't equal between men and women.
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: What if the women I like aren't fed enough? What
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: if the women are to mask what if whatever, Like
- 1:36:57Speaker 3: anytime I look at any of that, I'm like, little
- 1:36:59Speaker 3: me didn't care hair, and little me was not straight.
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: And that's as simple as it was. She did not
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: label anything else. She did not care. She didn't question
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: if she saw women kissing each other, Like none of
- 1:37:11Speaker 3: that stuff ever registered is abnormal because of what she
- 1:37:16Speaker 3: already knew about herself. And that's something I always try
- 1:37:18Speaker 3: to like encourage people to like, even if you're a
- 1:37:21Speaker 3: late bloomer, yes, but no, you didn't consciously because you're
- 1:37:25Speaker 3: programmed otherwise. But you can't change the fact that this
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: is who you are and where your heart's always been.
- 1:37:31Speaker 3: And that's not something society can take away or invalidate.
- 1:37:34Speaker 3: Like it's there and it's allowed to take whatever form
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: it takes with you because it again, it's not in
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: a box. It's not binary, doesn't have like a little
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: bucket list to ensure that you can get your membership
- 1:37:47Speaker 3: to the gay club.
- 1:37:48Speaker 2: Yeah, life isn't a cosmo quiz.
- 1:37:51Speaker 3: It turns out, I know, be really easy if it was,
- 1:37:54Speaker 3: but it's not. It's not.
- 1:37:56Speaker 2: We took so I took so many cosmo quizes.
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: Play dude, I still will whip out a BuzzFeed quiz. Oh,
- 1:38:04Speaker 3: I love a BuzzFeed quiz. I'll do BuzzFeed, Cosmo, oh,
- 1:38:08Speaker 3: and magazine Time.

- 1:38:22Speaker 1: talk about again. You were like, yes, I will do
- 1:38:24Speaker 1: this episode, but then I want to do and I'm like.
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: Yes, yea, so many ideas.

- 1:38:41Speaker 3: spending the rest of like the next few months trying
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: to live up to that. I'll be like, what would
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: be cool to Natalie.
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: Yes, it's everything I want exactly.

- 1:40:02Speaker 1: it is. Here's something. That's why I stop dating them
- 1:40:05Speaker 1: because their dates are boring. They're not gonna want to
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: sing Pink Pony Club and grind on Abraham Lincoln.
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: Now it's gone to the point where if I go
