- 0:17Speaker 2: be your biggest, boldest, and most authentic version of yourself.
- 0:21Speaker 1: We help you shed the shame, grow to a new level.
- 0:23Speaker 1: We're going to laugh, cry, and talk about the topics
- 0:25Speaker 1: everyone else is too afraid to talk about. Get ready
- 0:29Speaker 1: for your next level self.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Hello and welcome back to another episode of She Rises.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Whether you're plugging in from the morning, evening or afternoon
- 0:36Speaker 2: or anywhere around the world, thank you for joining us.
- 0:38Speaker 2: And if you're new here, welcome to She Rises.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Welcome. I'm Tiana. And I'm Ashley.
- 0:43Speaker 2: And today's topic, today's conversation, we're actually going to be
- 0:45Speaker 2: talking about a $ 50, 000 decision that we made and all
- 0:49Speaker 2: the decisions around that, why we did it, why we
- 0:51Speaker 2: made it, the ups, the downs, the pros, the cons,
- 0:54Speaker 2: all the things in between of spending $ 50, 000.
- 0:57Speaker 1: On She Rises. But before we get into it, Ashley,
- 1:00Speaker 1: what's your share of the week? My share of the
- 1:01Speaker 1: week is the burst feature on iPhones. We only recently
- 1:05Speaker 1: discovered this. We did. Absolute game changer. Not even if
- 1:08Speaker 1: you're just a content creator, but even like to get
- 1:10Speaker 1: your husband to take photos of you. Literally go into
- 1:13Speaker 1: your camera and you just push it quite fast to
- 1:15Speaker 1: the left and hold it there. And it takes hundreds
- 1:18Speaker 1: of photos in the span of 30 seconds. Very good.
- 1:22Speaker 1: So then you click on the burst in your album
- 1:23Speaker 1: and then you select which ones you want and then
- 1:25Speaker 1: they get saved to your phone. But you just like
- 1:28Speaker 1: can move around or like candid moments you're playing with
- 1:30Speaker 1: your kids and if your husband can just do that
- 1:31Speaker 1: or your friends, whatever, you get all these beautiful photos
- 1:34Speaker 1: to choose from. It's so handy rather than only taking
- 1:37Speaker 1: 10 and hoping one's good.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yes, or like completely like taking hundreds of photos in
- 1:41Speaker 2: your camera roll and then, you know, having 20,000 photos.
- 1:45Speaker 1: It's such a cool feature and I can't believe I've
- 1:46Speaker 1: only just discovered it. It's very good. It's cool. It's
- 1:49Speaker 1: definitely how we take photos now. We're like, burst me.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Burst me. Burst take 500. Yeah. And as we're doing it,
- 1:55Speaker 1: we're like, up to 200. We're on 250. Yep. 300. Yep.
- 1:59Speaker 1: It's good fun. It's so good. Yep.
- 2:02Speaker 2: My share of the week is actually a little snack
- 2:04Speaker 2: that I've come across recently.
- 2:05Speaker 1: The guy at my fruit.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Store, the one who owns it, he randomly pulled it
- 2:09Speaker 2: out one day and was like, Tiana, you have to
- 2:10Speaker 2: try this. It's called Franui, F-R-A-N-U-I. It's raspberries, like frozen
- 2:16Speaker 2: raspberries covered in white and dark chocolate or white and
- 2:20Speaker 2: milk chocolate.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Yum. It is the best. Like, I don't know if
- 2:23Speaker 1: it's because it's started.
- 2:24Speaker 2: To get hot here on the Gold Coast now that
- 2:25Speaker 2: I'm wanting more and more fruit. Like, I'm eating kiwis
- 2:28Speaker 2: like it's gone out of fucking style. She is. But
- 2:31Speaker 2: this little sweet treat is so fun and I think
- 2:33Speaker 2: for like the container it's probably like 350 cals or
- 2:36Speaker 2: something like that and it's just like fruit and chocolate.
- 2:38Speaker 1: It's yum. It is the best.
- 2:39Speaker 2: It's my new obsession and I like to think that
- 2:42Speaker 2: I have self-control, that I won't eat the whole jar,
- 2:44Speaker 2: but I do.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Same. I can't buy them without eating the whole thing. Yeah,
- 2:47Speaker 1: it's a problem. Yeah. It's a problem. I don't want
- 2:49Speaker 1: to share. No, we don't want to share. Highly recommend.
- 2:52Speaker 2: If you can find them, I don't know where else
- 2:54Speaker 2: you can buy them, but maybe if you Google it,
- 2:56Speaker 2: you might be able to see them local. Yeah.
- 2:57Speaker 1: There's another brand. It starts with B. They're in Flannery
- 2:59Speaker 1: and they're exactly the same. And I think they're also
- 3:01Speaker 1: now sold on Woolies or Kohl's, one of them. Amazing. Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 1: But I know the free show, that's where I got
- 3:05Speaker 1: mine too. That's so good. Okay. Let's get into it.
- 3:09Speaker 1: So we've actually done a previous episode about our $ 50, 000 investment.
- 3:13Speaker 1: It's an investment that we did with our business coach.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Our six months has now come to an end and
- 3:17Speaker 1: we want to talk about our experience and the pros,
- 3:21Speaker 1: the cons, what came up for us, fears, resistance. I
- 3:23Speaker 1: thought we'd like take it right back to the beginning
- 3:26Speaker 1: when we were first decided like, oh, maybe we should
- 3:29Speaker 1: get some support in our growth for SheRises because we
- 3:31Speaker 1: are growing at a rapid rate, but there's a lot
- 3:33Speaker 1: of things we don't know how to do, or we'd
- 3:35Speaker 1: like an outside perspective or just like how to juggle
- 3:38Speaker 1: all the ideas because our business isn't just the podcast.
- 3:41Speaker 1: There's quite a few different pillars to it now. And yeah,
- 3:45Speaker 1: we were like looking for someone, we couldn't really find anyone.
- 3:47Speaker 1: And then I put up a dance video one day
- 3:50Speaker 1: and this woman swiped up and she was like, oh
- 3:51Speaker 1: my gosh, this reminds me we need to get back
- 3:53Speaker 1: into dancing. And then my slide after that was looking
- 3:56Speaker 1: for a business coach to help with She Rises. And
- 3:58Speaker 1: she was like, hi, this is what I do. So
- 4:01Speaker 1: we started a conversation from there, common ground on the
- 4:03Speaker 1: dancing and just chatting back and forth. And I remember
- 4:05Speaker 1: sending the profile to you and I was like, I
- 4:07Speaker 1: really like this girl and her content and everything. And
- 4:09Speaker 1: you're like, oh my gosh, me too. So we inquired
- 4:12Speaker 1: and there was different options to go in private or
- 4:15Speaker 1: in her group. I'm more lent towards the group. purely financially.
- 4:19Speaker 1: I was like, oh, it's half the price. It's a longer,
- 4:22Speaker 1: it's a 12 month container, but it's half the price.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Whereas you more lent towards the one-on-one because of the
- 4:29Speaker 1: potency of it, which makes sense because you're a one-on-one coach.
- 4:32Speaker 1: So you know the power of proximity. I've never hired
- 4:35Speaker 1: a business coach. I've only more done self-development or someone
- 4:37Speaker 1: to help me through healing something. It was back and forth.
- 4:40Speaker 1: And we were in a position where like we were
- 4:42Speaker 1: making money from SheRise. I wouldn't say we're killing it.
- 4:45Speaker 1: So it's quite a big, we hadn't even been taking
- 4:46Speaker 1: a wage at that point. Yes. So it's quite a
- 4:48Speaker 1: big investment, but I think you were so certain on it,
- 4:51Speaker 1: it gave me more confidence to be like, yeah, let's
- 4:52Speaker 1: do it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's so interesting because in the beginning, like obviously
- 4:56Speaker 2: once I had found out like the investment I had,
- 4:58Speaker 2: was like, oh, okay, like I can see why she
- 5:00Speaker 2: charges that much. I did a deep dive, looked at like,
- 5:03Speaker 2: you know, all of her, you know, like who she
- 5:05Speaker 2: had worked with before, like what she was actually working on.
- 5:07Speaker 1: You're good at that. You really investigate everything. Look at
- 5:09Speaker 1: all the highlights. Yeah.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Just like a context, like context of what we're going
- 5:13Speaker 2: to be working on with this person, how they're going
- 5:15Speaker 2: to help us. Like I always believe that like any
- 5:17Speaker 2: investment you make is worth it tenfold simply by making
- 5:21Speaker 2: the decision. So anything after that is honestly a bonus
- 5:24Speaker 2: because you're literally declaring like we are worthy of this investment.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Therefore, like we're going to do the work afterwards.
- 5:29Speaker 2: And like when you're in that headspace, I think it's
- 5:31Speaker 2: so powerful. I remember the conversation we had. We were
- 5:34Speaker 2: both voice messaging. I think I was in Bali at
- 5:36Speaker 2: the time. So we were voice messaging back and forth
- 5:38Speaker 2: and we were like, oh, I'm a bit nervous.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It's a big investment.
- 5:41Speaker 2: It's our first big investment and she rises. And I
- 5:43Speaker 2: just remember thinking like I'm not feeling pulled towards her
- 5:46Speaker 2: group stuff, even though it was a cheaper option. it
- 5:48Speaker 2: didn't feel like the right option for me personally.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Like, I don't know. I just like, I thrive in one-on-one.
- 5:54Speaker 2: When I have somebody who's there, like looking at everything,
- 5:57Speaker 2: oh my gosh, they can't look away.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's like getting a PT.
- 6:00Speaker 2: They have to watch your form and they critique every
- 6:02Speaker 2: little thing that like they maybe wouldn't catch in a
- 6:04Speaker 2: group class.
- 6:05Speaker 1: You get faster results because of that. That's right. Yeah, absolutely.
- 6:08Speaker 2: And it's like that extra attention I find is like
- 6:10Speaker 2: really helpful for the way that I like to learn.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And yeah, I was just like, no, I like, I
- 6:15Speaker 2: think we should do it, babe. And just obviously being
- 6:17Speaker 2: a one-on-one, like a coach myself, where I offer one-on-one,
- 6:20Speaker 2: the way that I see my clients progress in one-on-one
- 6:22Speaker 2: is just like chalk and cheese, you know, when it
- 6:24Speaker 2: comes to like a masterclass or something like that. I'm like, oh,
- 6:27Speaker 2: I just understand the power of proximity, like what you said.
- 6:30Speaker 1: And after that, it was.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Honestly like 24 hours and we just decided and we
- 6:34Speaker 2: were like, okay, cool. And we paid the first payment,
- 6:37Speaker 2: but we were both still nervous. Like we still have
- 6:39Speaker 2: human moments and still you know, is this going to
- 6:42Speaker 2: be worth it? What if we don't get anything from it?
- 6:43Speaker 2: Like we had all the conversations and I was like,
- 6:46Speaker 2: I feel nervous, but it feels like the right decision.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So it was like, I still felt.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Scared and I'm like, oh, this is a big jump,
- 6:52Speaker 2: like 50 grand for one container for six months. And
- 6:56Speaker 2: that's probably like the biggest investment that I've made personally
- 6:58Speaker 2: into one person. And it still was like, no, this
- 7:02Speaker 2: makes so much sense for She Rises. It just felt
- 7:04Speaker 2: like the right next step.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah. And I felt a bit more well-being. I remember
- 7:07Speaker 1: telling Steve and he's like, okay, what exactly is she
- 7:09Speaker 1: going to do? I'm like, I don't know. He's like, okay,
- 7:11Speaker 1: so you just invested $ 50, 000. You don't know what she's
- 7:13Speaker 1: going to do. I'm like, well, she said X, Y, Z,
- 7:16Speaker 1: and she means she's going to do this, but I
- 7:18Speaker 1: don't actually know. And I remember going back to you
- 7:19Speaker 1: and being like, is she going to be doing this
- 7:21Speaker 1: or telling us? How does this work? And I remember
- 7:23Speaker 1: feeling a bit like, fuck, have we made the right decision?
- 7:25Speaker 1: But I also was excited at the thought of just
- 7:28Speaker 1: the expansion of growth that she could help us with.
- 7:31Speaker 1: And I remember a conversation we had as well.
- 7:32Speaker 2: We might not have known exactly what she was going
- 7:34Speaker 2: to help us with.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Yes. But we both loved her perspective on money. Yes.
- 7:39Speaker 2: We both looked at the way that she spoke about
- 7:41Speaker 2: money and the money that she was making herself. And
- 7:43Speaker 2: she just had this freedom perspective around money.
- 7:46Speaker 1: She's like, I love money. It is great. It is supportive.
- 7:48Speaker 1: It helps me. And like, it is like a resource. Yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 2: We often talk about money like that. We just wanted
- 7:54Speaker 2: somebody who would also have that perspective on money. And
- 7:56Speaker 2: she had it more than what we did.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Similar mindset to us. But yeah, she's almost like that
- 8:00Speaker 1: next level up. The next level up. Yeah. And to
- 8:02Speaker 1: see that in her, I was like, oh, okay, that's
- 8:04Speaker 1: somebody I want to be led by. Yes. And I'm like, cool. Like,
- 8:07Speaker 1: why the fuck not? Yeah. So cool. So it's been
- 8:09Speaker 1: an incredible six months. Do we make our money back? Absolutely.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Which is really, really cool from what she advised us
- 8:15Speaker 1: to do as well. Like easily made the money back.
- 8:18Speaker 1: And just learnt so much. I think one of the
- 8:19Speaker 1: biggest takeaways for me was her just reminding us who
- 8:23Speaker 1: the fuck we are.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Like on our wobbly moments or our moments of hesitation
- 8:27Speaker 1: or maybe when we put something in place and didn't
- 8:28Speaker 1: go to plan, we felt very comfortable to be ourselves.
- 8:32Speaker 1: One of the last phone calls, she was like, all
- 8:34Speaker 1: this fire, this feistiness, like this attitude, like the sash
- 8:38Speaker 1: you guys have, like more of that. Stop downplaying and
- 8:41Speaker 1: trying to be more palatable in fear of what others
- 8:44Speaker 1: think of you. Like all of this that we see
- 8:46Speaker 1: behind the scenes was put that in front of your brand.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Like this is what people want more of. This is
- 8:50Speaker 1: what makes you guys so magnetic. It's showing all of that.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You don't want to just blend in with everyone else.
- 8:54Speaker 1: You'll never make it if you do that. The people
- 8:56Speaker 1: that are really successful online, they're not trying to fit in.
- 9:00Speaker 1: They're super controversial. They say their opinions. They're loud and
- 9:03Speaker 1: bold about it. They're not afraid of what people think. Yes,
- 9:05Speaker 1: they have lots of haters, but they also have lots
- 9:06Speaker 1: of lovers and the lovers are spending. The lovers are
- 9:08Speaker 1: making money. The lovers are supporting them, backing them, standing
- 9:11Speaker 1: up for them. Like you watch like a cult in
- 9:12Speaker 1: the comment section. They get behind them. They get behind them.
- 9:15Speaker 1: But if you're just trying to be like, everyone's cup
- 9:17Speaker 1: of tea. You always just chill there. You never really exceed.
- 9:20Speaker 1: And I was like, I used to have that confidence
- 9:23Speaker 1: about myself. And then I don't know, kind of got
- 9:24Speaker 1: worn down for a bit there. I got scared to
- 9:27Speaker 1: really share all of me. And I'm still working on it.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Definitely still a work in progress for sure. Yeah. Isn't
- 9:32Speaker 1: it interesting when she called us out that day? I know.
- 9:34Speaker 1: We're both like sitting on this Zoom with her and
- 9:37Speaker 1: she's literally sitting there. She goes, I love you girls.
- 9:40Speaker 2: But can I share something? Like I'm going to call
- 9:42Speaker 2: you forward on something. You guys are literally fluffing about.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Yes.
- 9:46Speaker 2: And I can't remember exactly the language that she used,
- 9:48Speaker 2: but I remember just sitting there, we were looking at
- 9:49Speaker 2: each other like, I feel so called.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Out right now. So called out, so seen. And you
- 9:53Speaker 1: can't fucking hide. She's staring at us being like, yeah,
- 9:55Speaker 1: I'm talking to you. Yeah. She's like, yeah, yeah. You're
- 9:57Speaker 1: going to listen to me.
- 9:58Speaker 2: You're going to listen to me and you're going to
- 9:59Speaker 2: hear what I have to say because I don't know.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I think there was a point we just like weren't
- 10:03Speaker 2: sharing who we were when we were on a call
- 10:05Speaker 2: with her. So she's like, what's this contrast? Why are
- 10:08Speaker 2: you guys showing up like this online when like really
- 10:10Speaker 2: I see this fire and I see who you are
- 10:11Speaker 2: behind closed doors and you guys are bold and opinionated
- 10:13Speaker 2: and actually have something fucking loud to say. And like,
- 10:17Speaker 2: why are you not being that and doing that?
- 10:19Speaker 1: And I said, I want it to be relatable. And
- 10:20Speaker 1: she was like, There's nothing relatable about you. Yeah. You
- 10:23Speaker 1: don't want to be relatable. Why do you want to
- 10:25Speaker 1: be like everybody else? Yeah. No, that's what makes you
- 10:28Speaker 1: so special. Yes. I was like, oh, that's so true. Yeah.
- 10:31Speaker 2: And then she's like, okay, so what would it look
- 10:32Speaker 2: like for you guys to just say the thing, be
- 10:34Speaker 2: blunt about it, say what you care about, say what
- 10:37Speaker 2: you think. have an opinion, push back, be willing to
- 10:39Speaker 2: like stand up for what you believe in and actually
- 10:42Speaker 2: sit on either side of the fence instead of in
- 10:44Speaker 2: the middle. I feel like that's been a huge part
- 10:46Speaker 2: of my work. Even now I'm still working through that.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I'm still being challenged by that to be bold enough
- 10:52Speaker 2: to just say what I fucking think and feel.
- 10:54Speaker 1: It's a muscle you've got to flex, hey. It takes
- 10:56Speaker 1: a while for it to feel comfortable. Yeah, it doesn't
- 10:58Speaker 1: feel comfortable yet.
- 10:59Speaker 2: No.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Yeah, the outside noise can be so loud and especially
- 11:02Speaker 1: the more you grow and the more followers and the
- 11:03Speaker 1: more ears you have listening to what you say. Yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 1: it gets noisier. So you've really got to be a
- 11:07Speaker 1: certain type of person and super resilient, super thick skin. Yeah.
- 11:10Speaker 2: To be able to hold it and not take it
- 11:12Speaker 2: on board. But like, even then, like you're human at
- 11:14Speaker 2: the end of the day.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Yeah. How do you not take it on board? It's
- 11:17Speaker 1: just like, how good are you at feeling it?
- 11:19Speaker 2: Letting it, you know, maybe impact you a little bit,
- 11:20Speaker 2: having a little wobble and then getting back up again.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Not making it mean something. This is irrelevant. Yeah, not
- 11:25Speaker 1: making it mean something.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Even that post, we did a post and then all
- 11:28Speaker 2: these men, it was like hundreds and hundreds of comments
- 11:30Speaker 2: like shitting on us.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Still get comments. It's so bad.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Literally like, oh my gosh, you should have been hit
- 11:34Speaker 2: more as a child. And like, this is the dumbest
- 11:37Speaker 2: thing I've ever heard. Like this is satire, right?
- 11:39Speaker 1: Lost brain cells listening to these two girls. Oh, yeah.
- 11:42Speaker 1: What about the dads? It's crazy how triggered it made
- 11:45Speaker 1: a lot of people. So triggered. We were both like, oh. Well,
- 11:48Speaker 1: at least we spoke our truth. We don't expect you
- 11:50Speaker 1: all to agree with us. Yeah. You're a man. You're
- 11:52Speaker 1: not a female. You don't understand what females go through, obviously. No,
- 11:55Speaker 1: not at all. You're a part of the problem. And
- 11:56Speaker 1: then a man was like, this is what women have
- 11:58Speaker 1: been doing for thousands of years, hon. And I'm like,
- 12:00Speaker 1: that's the problem. Yeah. That's the problem. Yeah.
- 12:04Speaker 2: But it was moments like that I think I started
- 12:07Speaker 2: to voice a little bit more and then I got
- 12:08Speaker 2: a little bit wobbly and I was like, oh shit,
- 12:10Speaker 2: but when I speak up, this is what happens.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Yeah. You know, you've got to allow it to come in. Yes.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Can't stop it coming in.
- 12:16Speaker 2: And I think the hard thing in those moments is like,
- 12:18Speaker 2: if you don't feel like you already have the capacity
- 12:20Speaker 2: to hold that.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Then you're like, well, I don't really want to invite
- 12:23Speaker 2: more of that in because right now I don't have.
- 12:25Speaker 1: The capacity to hold that shit.
- 12:27Speaker 2: Because it's just another layer onto your life that you
- 12:29Speaker 2: have to add and hold on top of everything else that's.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Already going on in your life. And you're just like, oh,
- 12:34Speaker 1: I could deal with not having to deal with this
- 12:35Speaker 1: right now. Absolutely. It can feel heavy sometimes. But anyway,
- 12:40Speaker 1: it was great.
- 12:40Speaker 2: And being called out like that, I feel like I
- 12:42Speaker 2: needed that in that moment because since then has been
- 12:44Speaker 2: an onslaught of internal shifts for me of like okay
- 12:48Speaker 2: like push beyond.
- 12:49Speaker 1: That push yeah keep pushing scary it is very very
- 12:52Speaker 1: scary I think another takeaway was just like the importance
- 12:55Speaker 1: of having the right support around you because you're either
- 12:57Speaker 1: going to have expanders or people that hold you back
- 12:59Speaker 1: so true depending on their language they use how they
- 13:01Speaker 1: view the world how they view like life how they're
- 13:04Speaker 1: living and being around someone that has a really big
- 13:07Speaker 1: mindset and big money goals and likes to openly talk
- 13:11Speaker 1: about and express that, it becomes more normal for you.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, so much. It's like so important who's
- 13:16Speaker 1: in your circle. And I think that's made me hyper
- 13:18Speaker 1: aware of who I spend time and energy with and
- 13:20Speaker 1: what kind of mindset they have. Because not that I'm
- 13:22Speaker 1: easily influenced at all, but if I'm friends with someone
- 13:25Speaker 1: or I'm close to someone, I care about what they say.
- 13:26Speaker 1: And I'm like, oh gosh, maybe I am too much
- 13:30Speaker 1: or whatever. And my old wounds come out. But when
- 13:31Speaker 1: you're around someone that's just so bold about what they
- 13:33Speaker 1: believe in, it gives you more courage to do that.
- 13:36Speaker 1: And rep after rep, that feels more natural to you
- 13:38Speaker 1: as well. So just like solidified the importance of having
- 13:41Speaker 1: the right people in your immediate circle.
- 13:43Speaker 2: I think even as well around like controversially around money,
- 13:46Speaker 2: you know, who you spend time around, who have certain
- 13:49Speaker 2: beliefs around money, it's either going to rub off on
- 13:51Speaker 2: you or not. And whether we like it or not,
- 13:52Speaker 2: it happens, you know, it happens so quickly. And it's like,
- 13:55Speaker 2: I want to be around people who have expansive relationships
- 13:58Speaker 2: with money, feel supported by money and feel that money
- 14:01Speaker 2: only makes them more and more generous, which is something
- 14:03Speaker 2: that you've also always said. And I think it's a
- 14:06Speaker 2: beautiful relationship to have with money. I don't want to
- 14:08Speaker 2: buy into the shit that people talk about around they
- 14:10Speaker 2: need to be in scarcity and they shouldn't want for
- 14:12Speaker 2: too much. And we have this conversation all the time
- 14:15Speaker 2: around feeling like why would we want to limit ourselves
- 14:18Speaker 2: and make ourselves shrink just because it makes everybody feel comfortable.
- 14:21Speaker 1: No, thank you. Fuck that. Fuck that. Fuck that. Yeah.
- 14:25Speaker 1: Behind the closed doors, like we talk about money and
- 14:26Speaker 1: joke about it. Like more money, more fun, da, da, da.
- 14:29Speaker 1: But she's like that as well. Yeah. Like when we–
- 14:31Speaker 1: We're literally sitting over there and we love money. I
- 14:33Speaker 1: remember her saying, I know you girls love making impact
- 14:35Speaker 1: and connection. We're like, yes, so important. And it is. Yeah.
- 14:37Speaker 1: She's like, what else is important? We both looked at
- 14:39Speaker 1: each other and we're like, revenue, money, and more of it.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Like how do we keep being able to make impact
- 14:45Speaker 1: and connect with women and create safe space and do
- 14:47Speaker 1: all the things that we love and also make good
- 14:50Speaker 1: money off it? Like that's the dream for anyone. Absolutely.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Anyone who argues that, like you're lying to yourself, don't
- 14:54Speaker 1: you want to do what you love? And make lots
- 14:56Speaker 1: of money doing it. Absolutely. That's the dream. People don't
- 14:58Speaker 1: start businesses for it to fail. No. Do you know
- 15:00Speaker 1: what I mean? People don't start businesses to just kind
- 15:02Speaker 1: of like live paycheck to paycheck. No. I'm sorry. You're
- 15:05Speaker 1: trying to create freedom for yourself, for your staff, for
- 15:07Speaker 1: your family, for your kids. Yeah. Anyone who comes into
- 15:10Speaker 1: your life, you want to be able to help them.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And I feel like anyone that I've come across who
- 15:14Speaker 2: has done well with money or in their careers or
- 15:16Speaker 2: in being an entrepreneur- They have a beautiful relationship with money.
- 15:20Speaker 2: They do.
- 15:20Speaker 1: They love it. They're not attached to it though. Yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 2: They make fun. They make it a game. They gamify it.
- 15:24Speaker 2: And I think that's a really.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Beautiful perspective to have. They know what comes and goes too.
- 15:27Speaker 1: They're like, I'm not attached to it. I'm not afraid
- 15:29Speaker 1: to spend it or for it to like go down
- 15:31Speaker 1: a bit here because I know more is coming to me.
- 15:32Speaker 1: You spend money to make money. It's like an abundant mindset,
- 15:35Speaker 1: isn't it? I know more money is coming to me
- 15:37Speaker 1: because I know how to make it. You're not trying
- 15:38Speaker 1: to hold on to it because they don't think that
- 15:39Speaker 1: that's the last that's going to come in. Yes. Which
- 15:41Speaker 1: has been really cool to experience. Yeah. And then my
- 15:44Speaker 1: last takeaway, which I'm sure you can agree to, we
- 15:46Speaker 1: already felt this, but it was like more evidence that
- 15:49Speaker 1: you can just never stop learning. You can never, ever
- 15:52Speaker 1: stop learning. I don't care. It's even the fitness industry.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Like I've been in the fitness industry for a very
- 15:56Speaker 1: long time. And with George, I still learn off him
- 15:59Speaker 1: every session. Different little tweaks in my form, different ways
- 16:03Speaker 1: to eat, like how to balance things. I'm always learning
- 16:06Speaker 1: from him. I'm like, I came into getting a personal
- 16:08Speaker 1: trainer with hiring him as a beginner. And same with Beck,
- 16:11Speaker 1: our coach. It's like, I don't know anything she knows.
- 16:14Speaker 1: I'm a complete beginning here. Break it down for me
- 16:16Speaker 1: like a five-year-old. You know what I mean? You can never,
- 16:19Speaker 1: ever stop learning. And I just, I think we'll always
- 16:22Speaker 1: get support and help. Like we've already signed up for
- 16:24Speaker 1: another course that we want to learn about, which we're
- 16:25Speaker 1: going to do together in a couple of weeks. And
- 16:27Speaker 1: it's just like, we always want to be learning and
- 16:29Speaker 1: seeing different perspectives and different coaches are going to have
- 16:31Speaker 1: different ways to do things. If you take one thing
- 16:33Speaker 1: from here and one thing from there, and then you
- 16:34Speaker 1: figure out your own way, like how cool. Yeah. It's
- 16:37Speaker 1: so powerful. I think like There's this saying, the more
- 16:39Speaker 1: that I learn, the more I realize how little I know. Yes,
- 16:42Speaker 1: I've heard that before. And I feel like that sometimes too.
- 16:44Speaker 2: It's like the moment that I think that I'm like
- 16:46Speaker 2: getting on top of things and I feel like I
- 16:47Speaker 2: know everything, it's like it opens up this whole other
- 16:49Speaker 2: wealth of knowledge.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Where I'm like, oh, shit, now I'm a beginner again.
- 16:52Speaker 2: And it's constantly refining. It's just like there's so much
- 16:55Speaker 2: to learn and grow. I almost feel like there's like
- 16:57Speaker 2: not enough time to learn all the things that there
- 16:59Speaker 2: is to know.
- 17:00Speaker 1: But that's what makes it so fun.
- 17:01Speaker 2: Like when we first were going to sign up with Rebecca,
- 17:04Speaker 2: I was so excited because I was just like, I
- 17:06Speaker 2: feel like I haven't had a business coach in like
- 17:08Speaker 2: a couple of years since I'd hired one. And I
- 17:10Speaker 2: was like, I'm so ready to learn something new off
- 17:12Speaker 2: someone else and to just be led by someone who
- 17:15Speaker 2: has done more than what we.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Are doing right now. Yeah.
- 17:19Speaker 2: It's showcasing that you get to have all the things.
- 17:20Speaker 2: She really highlighted all of the levels of freedom, you know,
- 17:24Speaker 2: freedom and spaciousness in her life and travel and supporting
- 17:27Speaker 2: her family and you know, being able to do what
- 17:30Speaker 2: she wants with the people that she loves and support
- 17:32Speaker 2: her clients.
- 17:32Speaker 1: And it's so beautiful to be a part of that.
- 17:34Speaker 1: It is so cool, isn't it? Yeah. I love that.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I will never not advocate for hiring a coach.
- 17:39Speaker 1: No way.
- 17:40Speaker 2: I can't tell you like how many years, ever since
- 17:42Speaker 2: I started with a life coach myself, there's been a
- 17:45Speaker 2: very rare times where I haven't not had a coach
- 17:47Speaker 2: myself and I wouldn't change it. Like we had this
- 17:50Speaker 2: conversation the other day, we probably spent equally both like
- 17:53Speaker 2: quarter of a million dollars just on our personal development.
- 17:56Speaker 1: And I would not take a cent back. I would
- 17:58Speaker 1: do it 10 times over.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Same.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It's actually life-changing, isn't it? Because if you become in
- 18:01Speaker 1: the process, it's fucking awesome. Absolutely. And just to add
- 18:05Speaker 1: on to that about being a beginner, we say this
- 18:07Speaker 1: to the girls that come into our retreat. Because I
- 18:09Speaker 1: remember we had one girl and she's like, oh, I've
- 18:10Speaker 1: done a lot of breathwork before. Like I've done most
- 18:12Speaker 1: of this stuff before. I'm like, amazing. And what you
- 18:15Speaker 1: get out of this breathwork is going to be completely
- 18:16Speaker 1: different to what you've gotten out of the previous ones.
- 18:18Speaker 1: So true. Like come in here as a beginner. You
- 18:20Speaker 1: might have heard about shadow work or values or the
- 18:22Speaker 1: things we're going to teach on, but you might not
- 18:24Speaker 1: have heard it from our perspective and our stories. And
- 18:27Speaker 1: that's why I love when people teach through storytelling, because
- 18:30Speaker 1: it's like you might have learned something from a book,
- 18:32Speaker 1: but someone's personal experience of how they've been through something,
- 18:35Speaker 1: you're going to take something that you never would have
- 18:37Speaker 1: heard anywhere else before or put in a way that
- 18:39Speaker 1: you haven't heard before. Because it could be the same lesson,
- 18:41Speaker 1: but people learn it in different ways. Yes, so true.
- 18:43Speaker 1: It's like come in as a beginner, have a super
- 18:46Speaker 1: open mind, and you'll walk away with so much more.
- 18:48Speaker 1: And whether it's a retreat, or a course, or a mastermind,
- 18:51Speaker 1: or a one-on-one coach, if you walk away with one
- 18:53Speaker 1: thing that can change your life and impact your life
- 18:55Speaker 1: in a positive way, worth its money in gold. Oh, absolutely.
- 18:58Speaker 1: But if you're open-minded, I think you'll walk away with
- 19:00Speaker 1: a lot more than what you think you would.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I like what you said around being a beginner in
- 19:04Speaker 2: every situation. And we've had this conversation before, the moment
- 19:07Speaker 2: that you think that you're done learning is the moment
- 19:10Speaker 2: that you're actually limiting yourself.
- 19:11Speaker 1: It's like, that's your ego. It's so true.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Your ego is telling you that you know enough and
- 19:15Speaker 2: you know too much, or You know, there's nothing else
- 19:17Speaker 2: left to learn. It's like you're on the cusp of
- 19:19Speaker 2: like a breakthrough. of something that you haven't seen in
- 19:22Speaker 2: yourself yet. And that's when you lean in, not lean out.
- 19:25Speaker 1: Absolutely. Love it. Mic drop. So good. So yes. Are
- 19:28Speaker 1: we happy with our decision? Yes. Any regrets? No. Will
- 19:31Speaker 1: we do it again? Absolutely. We actually booked it for
- 19:34Speaker 1: another month. Yes. Yeah. We extended another month. One more month.
- 19:38Speaker 1: One more month. We're not done yet. No, no. It's really,
- 19:40Speaker 1: really cool. And we're looking at some other like just
- 19:43Speaker 1: online courses that teach different things towards your teachers that
- 19:45Speaker 1: can help us as well just continue learning and growing.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Just improve in every area. Yeah.
- 19:48Speaker 2: This is a thing also we talk about. Where we're
- 19:51Speaker 2: not waiting until something is broken to fix it.
- 19:53Speaker 1: We're preventing. Absolutely.
- 19:54Speaker 2: And we're also going, okay, what can we learn now
- 19:56Speaker 2: that's going to help us progress forward so that we
- 19:58Speaker 2: don't wait until something breaks to then go, oh shit,
- 20:00Speaker 2: let's fix that.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Let's look at that. That's such a good mindset, isn't it?
- 20:02Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. Powerful. Cool. So if you think about
- 20:05Speaker 1: getting a coach in any area of your life, whether
- 20:07Speaker 1: that's for grief, growth in your business, to tap back
- 20:10Speaker 1: into your feminine energy or maybe explore your dark feminine
- 20:13Speaker 1: or relationships or health, whatever it is, this is your sign.
- 20:17Speaker 1: Stop thinking and waiting and just book it. It'll change
- 20:19Speaker 1: your life. Absolutely. Thanks for joining us. We'll see you
- 20:22Speaker 1: in the next episode.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Bye.
