- 0:00An avoidant explains exactly how to get your ex back.
- 0:04Who is that avoidant? Why?
- 0:06That would be me. And who better to know what your
- 0:08ex is thinking and feeling than another avoidant.

- 0:52notification and you're in. And to read our manual, go to
- 0:56nocontactsecrets.com where you can read two pre chapters before
- 1:00you purchase the book. All right, the video you've all
- 1:04been waiting for I'm sure if you were dating and avoidant and
- 1:07actually let's find out, were you dating and avoidant or are
- 1:11you dating and avoidant because someone left a comment recently
- 1:14that said, you know, some people think that they were dating and
- 1:17avoidant, but it was just the fact that their ex was not
- 1:20interested. They weren't necessarily an
- 1:21avoidant. And that's true, because when I
- 1:24did the test with my community, 80% said they were dating an
- 1:28avoidant. That seems very high.
- 1:30So is it 80%? I don't know.
- 1:32What you can do is that you can go online.
- 1:36There are plenty of tests to find out whether your ex really
- 1:39was an avoidant and also find out what you are so that we you
- 1:43make sure you are dealing with an avoidant.
- 1:47OK, so there's four things that you want to keep in mind with an
- 1:52avoidant. And so I'm going to explain to
- 1:54you how we think and feel, and it'll make it easier to
- 1:58understand why you need to do what you need to do to get your
- 2:03ex back to get your avoidance X back.
- 2:05OK, so with an avoidance, the first thing is slow your roll.
- 2:10No fast moves. Do not try to push things along.
- 2:14Do not try to speed up. Do not be saying I love you real
- 2:16fast. Do not be asking for a
- 2:17commitment real fast. Just calm down.
- 2:22It's like a cat. If you approach an unknown cat
- 2:26quickly, they're probably going to run away.
- 2:28So you want to slowly, slowly take a few steps at a time, and
- 2:32before you know it, there you are petting the cat.
- 2:35So don't be trying to rush things.
- 2:37If you're dating actually anybody, because you at first
- 2:40you don't know what their relationship, their attachment
- 2:43style is and going slow, It works with every single
- 2:46attachment style. It obviously works with
- 2:47avoidant. It works with a secure because
- 2:50they're secure. Fine.
- 2:51They don't care. And it works in reverse,
- 2:54actually, for the anxious, because since you're not
- 2:56bringing it up, you'll actually make them more anxious, which
- 2:59will make them more likely to want to commit to you, and it'll
- 3:03raise your interest level. So interestingly, it works on
- 3:06all attachment styles Going slow?
- 3:10All right, don't be rushing. The second thing to remember
- 3:14with an avoidant is trust. Trust is everything.
- 3:18If we cannot trust you, you're going to lose our interest real
- 3:23fast. It's better to just tell the
- 3:25truth. We can handle the truth.
- 3:28Just tell us. I have had a boyfriend once.
- 3:31I've been dating for a number of years, and I had a feeling he
- 3:33was cheating. So I said to him, are you
- 3:35cheating? And he said, yes.
- 3:38It's like, OK, well, thank you. I appreciate the honesty.
- 3:42And I didn't break up with him. I mean, I should have.
- 3:45And I said, well, you got to stop.
- 3:46Yeah, Like that's going to do anything.
- 3:48That was many years ago. But people actually really
- 3:51appreciate when you tell them the truth, when they know that
- 3:53whatever you they ask you, you're going to tell them the
- 3:56truth. They may not like the answer,
- 3:58but at least they know you're telling the truth.
- 4:00And one of two things is going to happen is they'll appreciate
- 4:05it and stay with you. That's like, OK, I can really
- 4:07trust this person. Or they're going to stop asking
- 4:10questions that they don't really want to know the answer to
- 4:12because they know you're going to tell the truth.
- 4:15And by the way, if you're finding this video helpful, be
- 4:18sure to give it a like in order to help the YouTube algorithm to
- 4:22help other people to find this video and find out all about
- 4:25their avoidant X. So with an avoidant, trust is
- 4:30everything. If they start to suspect that
- 4:34something is up, that you're not that interested, that you're
- 4:37pulling back, that you're up to something.
- 4:39Because we always have our antenna up, our radar is up
- 4:4224/7. Nothing gets past us.
- 4:45We are so sensitive to signs of possible rejection that we're
- 4:53ready to pull back the 2nd we suspect there's a rejection
- 4:56coming. To give you an example, let's
- 4:59say you usually text back within a few minutes or a few hours.
- 5:03Unless, of course, maybe you're at work and you can't.
- 5:06Or you're on an airplane or something and they know that if
- 5:08all of a sudden it takes you 4 hours to respond, six hours, 8
- 5:12hours, 12 hours. I can guarantee you, the person
- 5:18that you respond to, your your boyfriend, girlfriend, they're
- 5:24not the same person that they were before you took that long
- 5:27to respond. They've already taken a step
- 5:29back and avoidance already have one foot out the door anyway, so
- 5:34now they have 1 1/2 feet of the door.
- 5:38They may not say anything, but they their attitude towards you
- 5:42has already started to change. They are starting to deactivate
- 5:45as it's called. And so you better have a good
- 5:50reason as to why it took you so long.
- 5:52And it better be plausible because if it's not, then it's
- 5:55like this person can't be trusted.
- 5:57And if I can't trust someone and they're going to hurt me, I'm
- 6:01not going to be hurt and therefore I'm going to, I'm out
- 6:04of here. All right.
- 6:05That's how we think. So trust is paramount with an
- 6:10avoidance. Now, one thing to also keep in
- 6:13mind is that while you can't show too much interest in the
- 6:19beginning, as I said, slow your roll, you also need to show
- 6:23enough interest. And it's a fine line to walk.
- 6:28And I know it's a pain because it's like, well, I don't know,
- 6:30am I showing too much? Am I showing not enough?
- 6:32You're going to have to gauge that yourself by their
- 6:34reactions, because if you're too needy, we see that as weakness.
- 6:39If you're trying to push the relationship along, it's like,
- 6:40no, no, no, no. Slow down, however, if you're
- 6:44acting cool, like, yeah, whatever.
- 6:46I'll see you when I see you. I'll text you when I text you.
- 6:48Then it's like, yeah, I'm not down with that, so I'm out.
- 6:52So you got to find that fine line to walk with an avoidant.
- 6:56If there's one thing and only one thing that an avoidant wants
- 7:01you to know, it's this. And I have a slogan for you.
- 7:07Hey, if you didn't act whack, I wouldn't need to pull back, OK?
- 7:13That's how we think. We don't just pull back just for
- 7:16the hell of it. We're not crazy.
- 7:18If we're into you and everything's going fine, why
- 7:20would we pull back? So if we do pull back, it's
- 7:24because either you start to act needy, meaning that you didn't
- 7:28slow your roll, you made fast moves, you were trying to move
- 7:32the relationship along. We take longer to want to be
- 7:36committed. So while you think, well, we
- 7:38should be in a commitment by now, the avoidance is like, not
- 7:42there yet. Or you didn't show enough
- 7:45interest, you took a long time to respond to a text all of a
- 7:50sudden, or you started acting whack in some other way.
- 7:54And so we pull back. There's always a reason we don't
- 7:57just do it because we're avoidance.
- 8:01All right, So how to get an avoidance back?
- 8:05Well, getting them back is simple, but since most people
- 8:10who are trying to get an X back are trying to get an avoidance
- 8:14back, and they are anxious, it's not easy for you.
- 8:18Because you're anxious, anxious, which means that during no
- 8:23contact, you're going to be breaking No contact, You're
- 8:28going to be contacting them. You're going to be begging.
- 8:30You're going to be writing letters, making the grand
- 8:33gesture, pouring out your feelings.
- 8:37Let me tell you something about pouring out your feelings.
- 8:40If you find yourself in a situation where you feel that
- 8:44you need to quote, UN quote, pour out your feelings, or
- 8:47someone tells you to do that, you've already lost.
- 8:49You're already in trouble. You're you're probably already
- 8:53done. If you find yourself in a
- 8:55situation where you need to do that, that means that you really
- 8:58effed up. It's like, oh, now you're going
- 9:00to share your feelings. The only time you should be
- 9:04pouring out your feelings is on your wedding day when you do
- 9:08your bows pour away on your wedding day.
- 9:11Other than that, pouring out your feelings rarely if ever,
- 9:16helps you to attain whatever goal you're trying to attain.
- 9:19OK, so with the avoidant to get them back, it's super simple.
- 9:25Just leave them alone. That's it.
- 9:28Leave them alone. Unless of course you cheated or
- 9:32took them for granted. And in that case, I do have a
- 9:36video that I did on that and I'll put the link in the upper
- 9:39right hand corner on YouTube. But an avoidant needs to feel
- 9:44the loss. They need to feel like they lost
- 9:46you before they can even think about coming back.
- 9:49And I did a video on that too. What do you know?
- 9:52And I'll put that link in the upper right hand corner.
- 9:54So you reaching out is not going to get them back.
- 9:59It's just going to push them further away.
- 10:01And they know they can take their time and they're going to
- 10:04see you as needy and weak. And it's like, oh God, I didn't
- 10:08know she was so needy. I didn't know he was so weak
- 10:10that if I broke up with them, they're going to act like this
- 10:14because we hate to see weakness or or neediness in both
- 10:19ourselves and in other people. So, you know, as an avoidance,
- 10:23for me it's super simple to do no contact.
- 10:26And I get triggered every time I hear someone say, oh, I broke no
- 10:30contact. I'm like, oh why?
- 10:33Why? I know why.
- 10:35Because you have anxiety, which is why you need to work on it
- 10:38while you're waiting for them to contact you.
- 10:41Because without that anxiety I'm telling you no contact is a
- 10:44piece of cake. When I went through the break
- 10:49break up that led me to then helping other people to get
- 10:52their ex back, I didn't know about no contact at 1st and I
- 10:55had heard at that time about the 30 day rule.
- 10:58So I thought, all right, I'll do 30 days and no contact, and then
- 11:01I'll reach out. No, you know, no big deal.
- 11:04I wasn't like, Oh my God, I got to do 30 days.
- 11:06I was like, sure, no problem, whatever, Just to get out with
- 11:08my life in the meantime. And then, of course, I didn't
- 11:10have to do that because he reached out after two weeks.
- 11:13But people with an avoidant attachment, Stout, we don't have
- 11:17anxiety after a breakup. We're like, OK, no problem, no
- 11:20contact. Sure.
- 11:21How long? Two months.
- 11:22Three months, Not a problem. So you want to get rid of your
- 11:25anxiety so you too can get to that point where no contact is a
- 11:30summer day, a walk on an exotic beach.
