- 1:05SPEAKER_01: I am so excited to introduce Lauren Nickel.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: But I'm just excited.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: I'm excited to have just a powerful, like authentic woman here.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: And it's like, I get, I mean, I I love all my guests.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: I'm very particular who comes on.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: Same.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: But like when we sat down earlier before we started recording this, I was like, oh my God, you are a force.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: And I kept saying, we can't talk about this now.
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: You gotta save it for the pod.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: So this will be really fun.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: Well, thank you, Stephanie.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: I actually feel the same way about you.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: So I'm honored that you even invited me to be on the loop.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Oh my God.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Well, at the end of the day, I think it's just like we saw each other, right?
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: And I was even saying, like, when we first came, like, how did we find each other again?
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: Mutual acquaintances in the podcast realm.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Thank you, Alexis Sandra, and Lori Harder.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: And that's what I'm finding too, because we both are pretty new at this.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: And I'm gonna ask you next, kind of to explain to the audience like how you got into this and kind of what is behind the X-wife lounge.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's such a cool brand.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: I love the name.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: And I love what you're doing.
- 1:59SPEAKER_01: It's really inspiring.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: And it's, I think it's also so much more than divorce.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, there's so much more about like what is it like to be an authentic, empowered woman?
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: And a lot of my world has opened up so much since I decided to just like go for it.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: And what's what it's drawn in is just really like-minded women that you want to link arms with.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Like Alexis and Lori.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: And like it's just interesting.
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: And so this today, I'm just excited.
- 2:25SPEAKER_01: So no further ado, why don't you explain or just share your background?
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Like, how did you become the voice?
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: Like, how did this all come to fruition?
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: So, first and foremost, thank you so much for having me here again.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: It's a total honor.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: I have a lot of respect for you as well.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: And I don't know if other guests have done it during episodes with you, but I plan on asking you some personal questions at the end of this because your fitness journey, your company, everything is very inspirational to me.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: And I think women above the age of 40, just because of what you're doing in your sector, is life-changing for a lot of women.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: So thank you for that.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: Thanks a lot.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: So, how the ex-wives lounge pod started or how it was created was I went through a very high conflict divorce.
- 3:03SPEAKER_00: Um, I filed and left when my daughter was only 12 months old, which was as a mom, as a female, there's a lot of voices, there's a lot of chatter, there's a lot of judgment that comes with you being the one to make the decision to leave.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Oh, I know that.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: And so this was my way of kind of taking the experience of divorce and flipping it on its head and making women look at it as this is a time for you to become your best self.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: It's not a time for you to play victim.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: It's not a time for you to wallow in the victim, you know, stuff that we get so wrapped up in when we go through divorce.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: And yeah, there's a mourning period, of course.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: I definitely had a lot of mourning periods, but I would say the podcast was created from a place of love, a place of being a girl mom, a place of wanting other women to feel seen, heard, and validated in their truth and never feel like they're a failure or feel guilt for leaving an unhealthy situation to live their best life, which then in turn gives their children the ability to live their best life as well.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: And you know, I think I know you know this, and I talk with this a lot, especially as a woman.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: I'm not saying it's easier or harder to leave as a woman versus a man, but usually when if we are the ones, and I was also the one to leave, is that by the time you actually decide, yes, it has been a long road.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: Oh, right.
- 4:26SPEAKER_01: You don't wake up one day and go, oh, guess what?
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna leave the father of my children because this is great for them.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: I mean, and that's why when people who have not gone through we what we've gone through or just gone through divorce in general, like I'm not saying they don't understand, but I usually just say is if you see a woman do it, it's usually been a long road to get where they are.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we don't know what goes on behind closed doors, right?
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: All you know, all the sit-down dinners, all the talks, all the therapy sessions, all the, you know, ultimatums.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Um, I think a lot of people judged me harshly because I did pull the trigger pretty quickly and leave because my daughter was only 12 months.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: At that point, we'd only been married two years.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: So it was a very short-term marriage.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: So you were together for five.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: We were together for five.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: And there were a lot of talks during the engagement, there were a lot of talks during the marriage, and there were a lot of talks when I was pregnant.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: So, yes, it definitely was not a one morning I woke up and this was the decision that I made.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: It was a lot of thought, a lot of tears, and a lot of pain that went into making the decision.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: And at the end, it I don't look back and have any regrets.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: It was the best decision for me and for my daughter.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: What would you say is the biggest change?
- 5:29SPEAKER_01: And to be with someone for five years, when you knew him, it's not like I did.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: You had a short engagement and you're like, oh my gosh, like what was the biggest shift?
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: I think I just started seeing things that were scary.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I started seeing that the things that were causing fights, the things that were causing issues within the relationship were never going to change.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: And I also noticed that my light was being dimmed, that my personality, you know, I would purposely not allow myself to be opinionated.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: I would purposely dim my own light so that he could shine.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: And I always felt like I was extremely supportive of whatever decision he wanted.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: But then when it came to any of my ideas, they were never supported, they were never validated, and they never happened.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: And I'm very much an independent woman.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: I always have been.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: I'm very strong.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I've always known who I am, what I like, what I don't like.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: And I just decided I don't want my daughter to see a mommy that is an empty shell of a human.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: I want her to see someone thriving, someone happy.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: And that was another reason why I started the podcast.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: Like she is my why.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: I want her to look at me one day and go, man, mommy went through like a really life-changing experience, but turned it into this beautiful, bright platform for other people to feel seen and hard.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, oh my.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: For I've teenagers that are older, she will.
- 6:50SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you right now, I mean, and you are a force.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Because you question that, right?
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: As a parent when you're going through it, you don't know what the future holds for your children.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: You don't know what the future is gonna look like for them.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: You just hope and pray that at the end of the day, your decision is the right one.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: And are your parents still together?
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: They are.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: It's mine too.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: That was also hard.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: Because they've been happily married for 55 years.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: Mine too.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: 55 years, yeah.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Did you ever feel anxiety about being that daughter that's going to them, saying, I'm leaving my marriage when you've seen such a beautiful role model for a relationship?
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: Was that ever hard for you?
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Very very hard.
- 7:23SPEAKER_01: And you know, my situation too.
- 7:24SPEAKER_01: I actually my sister reminded me of this is it's hard to divorce somebody who on the outside looks like a really, really great person.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: And he is a great person.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: Like my ex-husband is a good man.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: Now, he's not my man.
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: And I don't think he was the best.
- 7:40SPEAKER_01: We were, we were not a good example of what love was.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: And I do remember my brother actually pulled me aside one night and he's like, What is going on with you?
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: See.
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: And I went to his house the next day and I'm volleying tears, and I'm just like, I am it the worst version of me.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: And I think when I started to look in the mirror and be like, I'm losing myself.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm staying in here for the wrong reasons.
- 8:04SPEAKER_01: I've been very vocal.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: I've been very clear.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: I mean, by the time I left, it was like there had been years and years of conversations.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: And, you know, it didn't make it easy, right?
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: It didn't make me question, it didn't make me think, like, oh, you know, my parents were oddly supportive.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: And I think the reason my parents were so supportive is they did not know what was going on.
- 8:24SPEAKER_01: So I left Hawaii during COVID with my ex-husband.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: And I think it was also our last ditch effort to say maybe if we moved to Newport, which we spent every summer in, right?
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: We had lots of mutual friends, our girls loved it here.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: Maybe a different environment.
- 8:39SPEAKER_01: So we served the relationship.
- 8:41SPEAKER_01: They knew that we weren't wonderful, but I was very protective of him.
- 8:45SPEAKER_01: I was protective of my girls, of figuring out like we need to make some decisions.
- 8:49SPEAKER_01: So I think when they finally heard my entire story, my entire story, they didn't really hear until probably a year after I filed for divorce.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: So they were very confused.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: Why did you move?
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: Why this?
- 9:05SPEAKER_01: So when they finally heard my whole story, they go, Stephanie, this makes complete sense.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: So I think mine's a little different, and I really haven't shared my whole story of my divorce yet.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: And one day I will when the time is right.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: I think for my girls, for my partner, all of it.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: I go into little pieces of it.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: But to answer your question is it was hard.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: You know, it was hard.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: I wanted the success.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: Sorry, I wanted the happily ever after.
- 9:26SPEAKER_01: I don't want my girls to have divorced parents.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Same.
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: I I never thought I would be that person getting a divorce, let alone with a child that young.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: And there was a lot of guilt that I had to work through in therapy and doing EMDR and all the things that, you know, I talk about on the podcast that I really relied on that saved me.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: But I think, you know, for me, it was I really hope my daughter doesn't resent me for this decision.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: I really hope she thrives.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: I want her to be a good person in society.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: And I didn't want her to become a statistic.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: But at the end of the day, if you flip the mindset on that, the way I look at it now is she's got literally a community waiting for her as she gets older.
- 10:06SPEAKER_00: Oh gosh.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: Right or wrong, because the divorce rate just continues to increase, which is very, very sad for us.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: But that's the reason why we need to talk about it more and make it not such a yucky thing because there's so many women experiencing it and men.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: And I get a lot in my DMs, and I'm not even like my podcast isn't, I can't imagine what you get.
- 10:26SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: Um, but we know one thing I do say to people or anyone that messaged me, I said, you'll know when it's time to go, when it's harder to stay.
- 10:34SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: And I said, until then, don't worry about it.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: Because I don't know.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: You will know.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: Like you will know.
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: So ride it out and do all the internal work.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: Like, do the hard work, look in the mirror, go to therapy, like have no regrets.
- 10:49SPEAKER_01: I think that's my biggest piece of advice is like, I feel like I exasperated all of it.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: Now, did I make mistakes?
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: Did I do things some differently?
- 10:56SPEAKER_01: Of course.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: But my girls are thriving and they're amazing.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm an open book and we talk about everything.
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: And that's just how I've chosen to parent.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: Yes, I'm sorry.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: In a very scary way, because there was shame behind it.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, I you can't imagine you can imagine.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: Like, I had to sit down and tell my whole story to my two teenage daughters.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: Like that, talk about hard.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: But on the other side of hard is the most amazing life ever because we've done the work.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 11:24SPEAKER_01: You know, and we're apologetic about it.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Yes, yeah.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of people are afraid to do the work because you have to be vulnerable.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: And you have to tap into those hard, those hard parts.
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: But that's the only way to work through it and come out on the other end better for it.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: We had an interesting story.
- 11:38SPEAKER_01: When I moved to Newport and my girls started, COVID was kind of coming to COVID and they were going, they were meeting friends and we were meeting mom groups.
- 11:45SPEAKER_01: And I was about to tell the girls we're getting divorced.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: And so I went to a mom's lunch.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: I had never met Happy's moms.
- 11:52SPEAKER_01: I mean, there were probably five of them there.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: Have never met them before.
- 11:55SPEAKER_01: And I had to look at them and be like, I'm getting divorced.
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: And I want you guys to know because I want your children, your girls to feel safe in my home.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 12:04SPEAKER_01: So I don't want you to hear from my girls who I'm about to tell.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: And also, if my girls are having a hard time in your home, I want you to know what's going on.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: And they kind of looked at me like one girl sort of crying, didn't even know me.
- 12:14SPEAKER_01: And I think they were so not used to somebody just coming up and like laying out.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: Owning it.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: Owning it.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: And I was kind of like, I don't care if you like me or not.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: I'm telling you this for two reasons.
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: So my children can feel like they're seen in your home if they're going through something.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: And then also I want you to make sure that you feel very safe.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: Like you know what's going on in my home.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 12:31SPEAKER_01: And we laugh at it to this day because they they do say they're like, I don't know who this Hawaiian lady came in, but she was just like, here I am, like me or not.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: And then I also need to tell them that, you know, I'm in a very serious relationship.
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: I have a boyfriend.
- 12:42SPEAKER_01: Cause I also never wanted them to think that I would hit on their husband or be.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, I was that was a wee.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: I don't know if you ever felt that I get that so much.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: I felt very, and I'd never felt that way, but I'm also wasn't a new community of like, I never wanted someone to think that like because I'm going through divorce, that like you're a homeworker.
- 12:58SPEAKER_01: Or whatever, yeah.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, exactly.
- 12:59SPEAKER_01: I would ever like I was very conscious of just being very much like so much came up, I guess, for me of just saying, like, how do I want to navigate this?
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: Yes, it's hard.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: I actually am not invited to a lot of block parties in my community that I moved into because I am literally the only divorced mom that lives in the neighborhood.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: Well, and you're hot.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Well and strong.
- 13:20SPEAKER_00: I feel the same way about you, but but I am not that person, just like you.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: You know, I I may look like I'm the type you need to be concerned about around your husband, but I'm not.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: That's just not how I was raised.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: You know, and my friends too, like I'm good friends with Sony.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: They're like now, we all we are all good, all of us are all such great friends.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: And we're all very, I think my my girlfriends, I'm very selective of who I have here.
- 13:44SPEAKER_01: And we talked a little bit about this.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: That like I've made a very small group.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: My life is really busy.
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: I'm not here a lot.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: And so, like, I can't have someone be like, you haven't been a good friend.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, girl.
- 13:54SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, they have to understand.
- 13:55SPEAKER_01: And a lot of them are really busy too.
- 13:57SPEAKER_01: And all of our, you know, our partners or guy friends, we're all happy and like we're friendly, and like, we, you know, they joke about me and I joke about them and our social media, and you just kind of can't take things that seriously.
- 14:07SPEAKER_01: You really can't, especially when you're out there, right?
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: I'm just kind of like, and one is interesting, one of my friend's husbands early on, we are on a ski trip, and she, I think, flew back early, and so I sat next to him.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: He grilled me.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: And it was great because when we first met, he looked at me and he said, and I knew this feeling from Hawaii.
- 14:24SPEAKER_01: And he said, just so you know, like, we don't need more friends.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: And he said it kind of like jokingly, but like, which was the truth of like everyone's lives are really full.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: And like when you're the new person coming in, and I laughed and I said, I'm gonna win you over, and um asked me like tons and tons and tons of questions at this lunch, and that was an open book, and he said, I had mad respect for you after that lunch because I gave you hard hard questions.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: He was invited to my 50th birthday last year in Hawaii, them as couples, and he stood up and gave goosebons the most beautiful toast and about how I am now a really good friend and why and why.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah you know, and it's because I just showed up who I am.
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: And like I feel like if we and I know you're the same way, if it's the any advice that I could give anybody, um, just be who you are.
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: And like your people will find you.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: Yes, and your children will see you just being authentic.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: And I'm not, I don't apologize for it.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: And my social media sometimes is so cringy.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: My girls think it's cringy, and I'm like, yeah, sometimes a horse and pony show, I can't talk about peptides, but I still put myself out there every single day I've posted since I started loop.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're much hotter about that than I am.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: My PR person's like, we need to do more day-in-the-life stuff.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: You need to take your phone with you wherever you go.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: No, I don't even mind.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: I am not that person.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Really, I'm very private, which is funny because our lives are not private, our lives are all over social media.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah but really, like at my core, I'm a very private person, especially protective and private about my daughter.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: You know, everyone's like, you never really talk about, you don't say her name and you don't give specifics.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: I don't want to.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: She's young.
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: She's young.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: She's young.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah, she didn't ask for this.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: And they need to decide.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: Like, my girls have been on a couple, sometimes like my my number one of my highest podcast ratings was when my daughter was on interviewing me, which I love that's hilarious.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: I think that's amazing.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And you know what's interesting for me is when I first flipped from private to public, my girls were like, What are you doing?
- 16:18SPEAKER_01: My friends are asking me, What are you doing?
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: Like they were like very embarrassed.
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I'm not sure yet.
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: But I do know I have a message and I do know that I'm starting this company and we're gonna see where it goes.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: And it's totally fine, girls, if you want to block me and mute me and everything.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: And I mean, my my big Instagram hopefully is gonna be back any day now.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: I keep saying it.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: Now they love it.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: They're proud.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: See, they're so proud.
- 16:41SPEAKER_01: I was at a graduation party the other day, and I have a skincare language.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: I need to get you some stuff with it.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: Yes, please do.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: And one of my friend, Michaela's friends, it was a boy, got hold of the samples, and he comes up, he's like, I'm obsessed.
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: It's cleared up all his acne.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: He's like so excited.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: And the mom's like, Yeah, it just like his little vials like sit there, and I try to hide them or put them away, and he wants to see them because he wants to use them.
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: He wants to and my daughter was so proud.
- 17:04SPEAKER_01: And I think it was a full circle moment for me to be like, they've seen me, and this is how I know how your daughter will see you.
- 17:11SPEAKER_01: She probably sees you now, and especially as she gets older, is that like you're just going for it.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, and that's the best example you can ever do.
- 17:19SPEAKER_01: Yep, you know, and I remind them and I apologize sometimes.
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: Like we were in New York recently, and like I invited them last minute because I was like, oh my gosh, like I've got three days in New York or two days in New York prior to some work stuff, right?
- 17:29SPEAKER_01: Or in between work stuff.
- 17:31SPEAKER_01: Why not play?
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: And like the day I had to actually go and do work, they were kind of like, when are you gonna come back?
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: And I was like, I know this is the day I have to do this.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: But I was like, the best thing is like you gotta watch me do both, and like you're here because I have work.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Yes, like it can afford to pay for the trip.
- 17:45SPEAKER_01: Like I have to work right now, right?
- 17:46SPEAKER_01: I don't have a choice.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: I have to I think that's amazing.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: And it's funny you say that because my daughter will go around telling everybody, my mommy is helping other ladies.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: My mommy, she's already proud of me at six.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: I mean, they did a little um like a little thing at her school for Mother's Day, and the teacher went ahead and filmed the child saying what their mommy does for a living.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: And I have a normal nine to five.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: I work in the tech industry handling government contracts.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: So it's like I have a big girl job, you know?
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: But she literally, they filmed her and she said, My mommy helps ladies, and she's a podcast host.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: So it brought tears to my eyes because she already sees.
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: She already sees the mission at six years old.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: And that's the reason why I wanted to do this.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: I want her to be able to see what I'm doing, which then will in turn make her believe.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: Which is your why.
- 18:33SPEAKER_01: All right, podcast listeners, we are gonna talk about supplements.
- 18:37SPEAKER_01: All right, so I rap a lot and I talk about the loop waste supplements that I formulated.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: And I really had the idea because I'm talking all the time on how the pillars of health are so important while you're on peptides.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: Getting enough protein, having creatine and amino acids to increase your protein levels and protect your muscles, put some water back into your muscles and protect your brain.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: These are things I use every single day.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: So I thought if I'm telling my clients and community to go out and purchase creatine, amino acids, and a high-quality protein, why wouldn't I just create one for myself?
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: And by the way, I nailed it.
- 19:11SPEAKER_01: I'm really, really proud, especially in my vanilla whey isolate.
- 19:15SPEAKER_01: It was made really so it can be it's thin, you can drink it in water.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: You don't even need to add anything else to it.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: Only 90 calories, 20 grams of protein.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: I also love to put in my afternoon coffee or matcha.
- 19:25SPEAKER_01: It mixes really well together.
- 19:27SPEAKER_01: So there's no excuse.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: When I'm telling you to eat your whey in protein, it is so easy to have two of these a day.
- 19:32SPEAKER_01: It doesn't hurt your stomach.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: This is coming from a girly who has some stomach issues.
- 19:36SPEAKER_01: The whey isolate is natural, it is a cinnamon taste, it's almost like a little macchiato in the afternoon.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: And I always say my creatine every single morning.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: It's a non-negotiable.
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: I have my parents on it for their brain.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: And any age, creatine can be great for your brain and your body.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: And then we all need the extra help.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: Amino acids, the building box of blocks of protein.
- 19:55SPEAKER_01: So I put it in my water bottle every morning before I go to the gym.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: These are my non-negotiables.
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: Check it out.
- 20:00SPEAKER_01: We got 10% off for all the loop way listeners.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: Now back to the show.
- 20:03SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: What's advice with you know, everyone that you've kind of brought on this last year in your podcast?
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Like, what's a theme that you see that you want to kind of turn into advice for any of your listeners, my listeners?
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: I would say the biggest kind of trend that I've seen with my guests is to stay true to who you are authentically.
- 20:22SPEAKER_00: Never change yourself, never try to fit in to a group of friends, never try to change yourself into getting likes or follows or all the things.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: I think maybe it's, you know, a marathon and not a sprint.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: Um, and so most of the guests that I have on are just very, you know, know who they are and aren't running anymore.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: You know, they we talk about when you're young, you you just want to be older and you try being kind of a sheep and you fall along with what everybody else is doing.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: You fall in line, so to speak.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: But as you get older, there is a beautiful thing about age.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: And I would say the most beautiful thing that I've seen with most of my guests and them getting older is saying that, like, I don't need people to like me anymore.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: So just staying true to who you authentically are, and and eventually you'll find new people.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: And it's interesting to your point, is like it isn't a sprint because you have to kind of earn that.
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: You do.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: You know, you have to earn that one day to genuinely feel it.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Everyone can say, Oh, I don't care what people think about me.
- 21:22SPEAKER_01: But you have to earn it.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: And I think one day when I realized that's really how I felt, I was thinking about some family members, or like, you know, other things where I'd be like, God, I really want them to see that way, or what are they gonna think of my bikini photo that I do a before and after?
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: Or like, and I was like, I don't care, yes.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: And I was like, oh, I genuinely don't care.
- 21:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but have you noticed, Stephanie, too, that that's more of a female trait?
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: Yes, men don't really care.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: Or if they care, they hide it really well.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: But women, we're just so hard on ourselves, and I think as we age, yeah, I mean, there are so many more things we can need.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Know, do not keep up with ourselves, and you're the person I plan on talking to about all of the above.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: But I just outside of that, I think it's more of mindset, not aesthetics, but mindset.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 22:11SPEAKER_01: Mindset.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: Well, and I think falling in love with yourself again, like really loving who you are.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: And at the end of the day, like I know I'm a good person.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: Same.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: And I know my why.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: I know I'm doing this.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: I understand my industry.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: I understand that it comes with opinions.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: You know, and my biggest thing, which I think was interest interesting, is that like what I've gone through in my divorce and my mood.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: I mean, I literally blew my life up.
- 22:36SPEAKER_01: And then one of the gifts is that this company that I've been able to start, that's really my my whole life, my passion.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: I'm you and you can probably feel it and see.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: I'm so passionate about it.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Very passionate.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: And I'm okay with everything that comes with it.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm really okay with somebody who has tons of opinions on it.
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: And I I go back and I just say, all I ask from anyone is be curious.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 22:56SPEAKER_01: And be open-minded.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: And I think those two things are the best advice you give give people in life in general.
- 23:03SPEAKER_00: It's just be open-minded and curious.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: I love that you say curious because I think at a certain age, people stop being curious.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: They're just like, well, I'm older now, so I don't need to be curious anymore.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: No, your life's not over.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: What are you doing here?
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: You have so much more life to live.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: And when you're about to judge somebody, you know, I say, like, assume the best and go, huh, I wonder what's going on that made them act that way.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: Or I wonder what's going on that they got divorced.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: I'm sure there's two sides to every story.
- 23:31SPEAKER_01: Um, I wonder, you know, and just like be curious.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: And so I use that a lot with my clients.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: I use it a lot with doctors.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: I use it a lot when someone's just, you know, so negative.
- 23:41SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, you know what?
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: The best part is this is your own journey.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: Like, go do your own research and be curious.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: And it's they're almost like taken back.
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: I'm sure.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: Because I'm giving them permission to sit with whatever opinion they have, and it's fine.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Or have an opinion on their opinion.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: Well, and at the end of the day, you have to advocate for yourself, right?
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: Especially when it comes to your health, which no one knows this more than you do.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, is you have to be your own advocate.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: And what works for one person's body may not work for somebody else's.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: And the opinions that people have on other people's bodies is what kills me the most.
- 24:12SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: You know, and why are we sitting here just judging each other, especially as women?
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: Like it's hard enough, especially like when you've gone through having children, yes, menopause, perimenopause, all the things that change, like the amount of tears that happen on my coaching calls, just because like they're seen.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 24:28SPEAKER_01: You know, they understand like so many tears, I've given so many tears, and I'm just going, like, we are so hard on ourselves.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: It's very true.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: And we look at our stupid feed, and that's why sometimes, you know, I have a hard time with it.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: Cause I'm like, I don't want to come across as like I'm perfect.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: I've it figured out because I don't.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: Same.
- 24:44SPEAKER_01: And I don't want anyone to ever feel bad about themselves.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 24:46SPEAKER_01: Now, can I inspire?
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: Is what I'm hoping to do.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: Like, can I inspire you?
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: Can I share with you some of my tips and tools?
- 24:52SPEAKER_01: Can I my journey?
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Like, if I can do it, so can you.
- 24:55SPEAKER_01: Because my journey wasn't I wake up one day and be like, God, at 51, I feel the best that I've ever felt.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 25:01SPEAKER_01: I mean that takes work and it's a process.
- 25:04SPEAKER_01: I had I was on crutches for a month and I couldn't work out for a year.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: Like, what does that look like when you start again?
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: That's very true.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: Very true.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: But one thing that really stuck out to me when you and I were talking before we started filming was the sheer fact that when you're in the line of work that you and I are in, how interesting it is when women want to go on and preach about being a girl's girl or saying that they support their friends, or you know, if someone's career is taking off, like your podcast, my podcast, you know, honestly, it's very unfortunate.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: But I've lost some of the closest women to me because of my podcast.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: And it hurts.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: It hurts.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Do you think it's because it's you're too much?
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: Gosh, she's talking about this stuff.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: Probably.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm talking about divorce, even though it's you know an everyday thing in a lot of people's lives.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: I think there's still something that, you know, some old-fashioned mentality that, like, oh, we don't talk about divorce.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: That's a very controversial topic.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: We don't talk about that.
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we don't talk about anything hard.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: But I'm the type of person.
- 26:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: I'm the type of person that does not brush anything under the rug.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: So when you got that, because I've had it too when we share, we talked about this, is when you have that, I wouldn't even say negative, probably just like not even acknowledging or going quiet or disappearing, you're not invited to all the lunches.
- 26:15SPEAKER_01: Like, yes.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: How did you handle that?
- 26:17SPEAKER_01: Like, what is what's your advice for anyone who's going to be like honestly, I've spoken to my therapist about it a lot.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: Um, leaned on my my mom, because my mom and I are really tight.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: My parents and I are really good friends outside of our relationship.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Um, but I I take it very hard because I'm very empathic and I give a lot to my friendships and I'm very vulnerable in my friendships.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: And, you know, the unfortunate thing is I have actually had people turn against me because they have believed, I would say, some false narratives given to them by my ex.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: And that's probably been the hardest for me because I have to see these people at my daughter's school.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: And we don't talk and we don't lock eyes, but they'll be over there talking to him.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: So those are the kind of dynamics that I've had to deal with.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: I haven't really lost a lot of girlfriends from the podcast per se, other than I have had some women really go silent on inviting me out to lunch or coffee or whatever, but yet they still watch my IG stories.
- 27:14SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:15SPEAKER_00: So, you know, they're always being nosy, they're always lurking.
- 27:18SPEAKER_00: They don't think I notice, I notice.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: You know what's funny?
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: I this was gosh, I don't know, it maybe a couple months ago on my other Instagram.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: Um, I said something like that.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: I said, it's really interesting when you're seeing everyone who watches things, but they never comment, or I've got some have never acknowledged I have a company.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: Same.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: And like I said, I don't need them to buy a pet side.
- 27:37SPEAKER_01: I don't need them, but like to not say, oh my gosh, Steph, so cool what you're doing.
- 27:41SPEAKER_01: Like no acknowledgement.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: You're like, hey, go for it, girl.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: I'm really proud of you.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: And they're entrepreneurs themselves, or and so I I did a story on it, and some I got lit up, and I don't get lit up that often.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: Oh, I got lit up.
- 27:54SPEAKER_01: Someone's like, you lost me there.
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: You know, you think it's all about likes, and and I go, that's so funny.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: I go, you've missed the whole point of what I'm saying.
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: It has nothing to do with that.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: It has to do with just like cheering other people on, and it doesn't even have to be on the feed.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: I'm just saying, like, if someone you can see knows what's going on in your life, knows what you're doing, and even offline doesn't go, well, Steph, really cool you're going, like, explain more about your business, or I'm just so proud of you.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 28:24SPEAKER_01: Like, and you're supposed to be really close friends.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: And it's one thing if they're not on social media and they have no idea, fine.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: But like, so I really, really try, really try.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: Like I said, it's not always online, but it's often a you know, a text message or a phone call, and I'm like, this is amazing.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: Or I encourage somebody, go for it.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: Yes, like if this is what you want to do, go for it.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: No, and that blows my mind too, because you have the same mentality I do.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: If I see someone that went through a really hard situation, give it a divorce or something life-changing, and they're literally starting something from ground zero and building it, the hustle that goes into doing what we do is so not talked about enough.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: I think they only watch the reels, they only watch what we're putting out, and and they're not realizing the work, the dedication, the sacrifice that's going on the burnout behind the scenes.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: I think one thing I struggle with a little bit, and I don't know if you feel this way is a single mom, but um I think because we have a business, we're working, you're entrepreneurial, and you're a mom at the same time.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: I don't have a lot of bandwidth for people who don't get that.
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: Say or like, why can't you come?
- 29:35SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I mean, I can I'm like, I can right now I can barely get through my day.
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: And I'll be honest, I'm like, I would love to have happy hour with you.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: And I love how a good happy hour.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: But I'm like, I just need to be home, I need to be grounded, I need to be with my children.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: I I travel a lot.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: I'm not, you know, I can't always be present.
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: So, like, if I have them, I'm home because if they call me, I want to be able to pick them up.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: I actually get that a lot from some of my single mom friends that are like, we're going out Friday night.
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I have my daughter.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: We'll get her, get a babysitter, get a nanny, or get someone to no, yeah.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: I actually love my daughter.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: And so I want to spend time with her.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: She is my best little friend.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: So I am like that boring single mom that will put everything off on my custodial days because she's with me, she's with me.
- 30:18SPEAKER_00: Yes, she deserves to have my undivided attention.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: Yes, and then she and she'll feel that.
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 30:23SPEAKER_01: Okay, so we were talking about podcasts.
- 30:24SPEAKER_01: Like it is really tough.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's the market is flooded.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: Like it is.
- 30:28SPEAKER_01: Someone who started a podcast 10 years ago plus, I mean, they were lucky in a sense.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: Not lucky because the ones that are still around have done right timing.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: Now it's like I haven't forgot the number.
- 30:37SPEAKER_01: It's like a crazy number.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: And I think they said like 0.1% actually like make it make it and have, you know.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: But we both agree that like we love what we do.
- 30:46SPEAKER_01: And I think when you have that passion, like I love being able to meet other people.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: I love to have conversations.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: Same.
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: I I think my my proudest moments are when I do get stopped and someone's like, I love your podcast.
- 30:55SPEAKER_01: Or I found you.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 30:57SPEAKER_01: Not even on social media, I found you.
- 30:59SPEAKER_01: A lot of my clients actually come in somehow.
- 31:01SPEAKER_01: I don't even know because I don't promote my podcast.
- 31:03SPEAKER_01: I don't know how they find it.
- 31:04SPEAKER_01: They find it somehow, or we'll go in somebody else's.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: But it that's what makes me the most happy because I'm like, if you have listened to my podcast, you see me.
- 31:11SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: Because you can't hide.
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: No.
- 31:13SPEAKER_01: And it's but it's not like the highlight reel, which Instagram, I feel like sometimes I'm going like, oh that's such a horse and pony show for myself.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: It is.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: It can be.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, it's been a very interesting journey since I started this podcast.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: And I agree with you.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: It goes really deep when you have someone say to you, I really love what you're doing, or I see your mission.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: Well, you're being vulnerable.
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: And like you're talking about, I think what's interesting, do you also find because a lot of women don't ever leave?
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Or men.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 31:40SPEAKER_01: And for a lot of reasons.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: Zero judgment.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 31:43SPEAKER_01: But I I I would love to know the statistics of unhappy marriages, or like what someone's sex life truly is.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: Or like, do they or my divorce attorney in Newport Beach is 50%.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: That 50% of married couples, because now the divorce rate in Orange County, only Orange County is 79%.
- 31:58unknown: No.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: 79% now it is.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: But he was telling me that 50% of married couples, they did the statistic, however they rate that.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: 50% of married couples are unhappy.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I believe that.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: I believe it too.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: I believe it.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: I believe it too.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: I also think social media is hard.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: I feel like it's so easy to get distracted.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: Like you're unhappy with someone and you start scrolling.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, this person looks hot.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, you just get it's like the bigger, better syndrome.
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: Fantasy world, or even just like the guys that come into my DMs.
- 32:27SPEAKER_01: I'm like, are you serious right now?
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: Can you side in my way?
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: I get no guy DMs.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: Oh God.
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: No, meant that I get a lot.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: I don't know what it is.
- 32:33SPEAKER_00: I must give off some like fuck off vibes.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: Oh no, I don't know.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: Caesar laughs too.
- 32:37SPEAKER_01: I get the feet people.
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: Stopping.
- 32:40SPEAKER_01: Oh, begging for feet pictures.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: Stop.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's weird.
- 32:43SPEAKER_00: Weird.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: I mean Caesars over there with the bottom.
- 32:45SPEAKER_01: And then I'm like, should I do OnlyFans for my feet?
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: This is so weird.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, stop.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: But when I do it's actually a brilliant idea.
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: I mean, seriously, I'm like, how can you do that?
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 32:52SPEAKER_01: But um, I think when I do, it just makes me go, ew.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: I know.
- 32:58SPEAKER_01: It's one thing it's a nice compliment, but oftentimes it's like I just flock them and it's inappropriate.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: But it makes me think that, like, you know, what how hard that is, I think, for men and female when you have this Instagram is wonderful, but it makes the world really big.
- 33:11SPEAKER_01: Or like you can easily have contact with an ex, or like you have to be like, so that I think is not helping the statistic either.
- 33:18SPEAKER_01: That like all of a sudden it's like you can get distracted in two seconds.
- 33:21SPEAKER_01: If you want to flirt with somebody, you can.
- 33:23SPEAKER_01: I think having boundaries of what that looks like, or like my expectations of my behavior or my boyfriend's behavior, like I would never ever be okay with all of a sudden.
- 33:33SPEAKER_01: Like it's just it's hard.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: I agree.
- 33:34SPEAKER_01: I think it's very hard to really stay focused and it takes work.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: And you know what's interesting?
- 33:39SPEAKER_01: I don't know if you feel this way.
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: I can spot a bad marriage in two seconds at dinner.
- 33:45SPEAKER_01: At dinner too.
- 33:46SPEAKER_01: At dinner, or I can or really good ones.
- 33:48SPEAKER_01: Like ones that are like, you know, I'm in a very, very, very healthy, beautiful relationship.
- 33:53SPEAKER_01: But I remember my best friend, shout out Julianne.
- 33:56SPEAKER_01: I remember we went on her husband's 50th birthday, and I helped help them plan it.
- 34:01SPEAKER_01: I remember we flew from Hawaii so when I was living there, landed in LA, and we were with, I was with her and her husband, and they just they have four kids and they have just the best relationship.
- 34:09SPEAKER_01: And just watching them and watching them on the plane and the whole weekend, and I'm like, I want that.
- 34:15SPEAKER_01: And when I kind of told her my whole situation, and I told her about my boyfriend, I looked at her and I said, I have what you have.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: Oh, so special.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: You know when you now I know what that is.
- 34:25SPEAKER_01: What it feels like, but I'm very my my antenna is very up, and I cannot hang around or be around unhealthy relationships.
- 34:32SPEAKER_01: I just can't.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: And I don't know if you feel this way too.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: And I and look, I am far from the judgmental type.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Like I have a podcast that talks about literally anything under the sun.
- 34:41SPEAKER_00: It the title sounds like I only have sad housewives, ex-housewives coming on and talking.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: It's way more than that.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: But I think for me, I have a very hard time being around a woman that's in an unhealthy marriage.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Says that she's staying for the kids.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: But the kids see and feel and understand your dynamics in that house.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: There's no way for them to not feel and know what's going on.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: Kids are very, very intelligent.
- 35:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, they well, they feel it.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: They feel all of it.
- 35:11SPEAKER_01: And that was my thing, too.
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: It's like, wow, this is their vision of love.
- 35:14SPEAKER_01: I'm showing them love.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: That's how I viewed it.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: But I do fear is a big thing.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: And on the other side of fear is freedom, right?
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: I just think there's, you know, I guess I know a lot of people where it's just like that is just they're they're frozen.
- 35:29SPEAKER_01: Like they're paralyzed.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: Like they they'll just never do it.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: And it is, I'll be honest, it is scary.
- 35:33SPEAKER_01: And I had some support.
- 35:34SPEAKER_01: It's terrifying.
- 35:35SPEAKER_01: It is, and I still have moments where I wake up and I'm like, can I afford my house?
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: Can I like same?
- 35:40SPEAKER_01: How is this gonna be?
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: There's I'm not there's no safety net for me to like everything right now is on me.
- 35:45SPEAKER_01: Hence, but I think that gives you your drive.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: Like in some way, I go, I wonder what my life would be like if I everything was just taken care of for me and I didn't have to feel like I want to, I have to build something.
- 35:57SPEAKER_01: Cause like I think a little bit of desperation is healthy.
- 36:00SPEAKER_01: You know, a little bit of like, all right, like failing is not an option.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: No, right?
- 36:04SPEAKER_01: And I feel like I tell my girls sometimes, I'm like, no, you want to have fire under your ass.
- 36:09SPEAKER_01: Like, I want to one day, I mean we were in New York and we went shopping a little bit, and I said, you know, I hope next year, this time, like I can really, really spoil you if I wanted to.
- 36:17SPEAKER_01: You know, I could walk in and say, because I want them to understand too, like I'm working so hard so I can give you, and it doesn't mean shopping for them, but give them the best life.
- 36:26SPEAKER_01: Like, yes, if my daughter graduates, you know, when she graduates from college, if I want to take her to Europe, I can.
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 36:31SPEAKER_01: But like that, that comes with a lot of hard work.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: It's not just a given.
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: No, it comes with a lot of hard work.
- 36:37SPEAKER_00: And I like that.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: Like, I like it too.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, honestly, like you and I were talking about the podcast world is very saturated with podcast hosts, but that actually fuels me more.
- 36:46SPEAKER_00: And you're going for it, girl.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: I am because I was asking you, I mean, I am.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: You got some exciting guests that are on some yeah, I'm working on some major reality show, you know, people right now to come on as guests.
- 36:57SPEAKER_00: And I'm trying to diversify and pivot a little bit.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: And you know, everybody has a story.
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: Everybody has an ex, hence why I call the podcast the home of the exes.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Because at the end of the day, we all have been through traumatic relationships, breakups, divorce, however that looks for individuals.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: But for me, it's like I'm working on brand partnerships.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna start probably throwing one or two health and wellness events every year and get my name on it, but make it different and maybe turn them into like an a yearly event.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: Have brands come showcase their product at all my health and wellness events.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: And that's what the linking arms with.
- 37:33SPEAKER_01: That's like my IRLs have done really well because and people want community, they want to be in person and they want to feel like, and you know, I I like that you're saying it's not just about divorce, it's about also like being strong.
- 37:45SPEAKER_01: Like there's so many other issues that people have that they need to get on the other side of fear, you know, and where did you find your voice?
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: Like, where did you find your courage?
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: Like, I get asked a lot, like, how did you do this?
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 37:55SPEAKER_01: And my advice, and I don't know about yours, is I'm like, just start.
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: And that was a hard thing for me as a perfectionist.
- 38:01SPEAKER_01: Like, thank gosh, my boyfriend like is an entrepreneurial, and he's just like, we're building the plane in the air, and I'm going like I don't know.
- 38:08SPEAKER_01: And it's like everything has to have a pretty bow on it.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: That's how I am too.
- 38:11SPEAKER_01: And it's not.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: No.
- 38:12SPEAKER_01: And I say, I'm like, gosh, I remind some people who work with us, I'm like, this is a startup.
- 38:16SPEAKER_01: Like, and sometimes it's three steps forward, one start step back.
- 38:20SPEAKER_01: And like, and some mornings I'm like, what are we doing?
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: And other mornings, like, this is the best thing ever.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: No, it's so true.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: It's the ebbs and flows.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: But yeah, when you're a small business owner, you're an entrepreneur, you definitely go through those ebbs and flows.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: And you just have to go into it knowing that that's part of it.
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: That that that's normal.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: That doesn't mean you're not winning at something, or that doesn't mean you're not thriving at something.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: It's just, it's time.
- 38:40SPEAKER_01: I also don't like all the numbers in social media because I think it holds people back.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: It does.
- 38:44SPEAKER_01: It's really, really hard to grow up on Instagram right now.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 38:47SPEAKER_01: And I tell people, I'm like, it doesn't matter.
- 38:49SPEAKER_01: Just start because you will find your people and like you will find your engagement and you will know you're on the right track because people will relate to you.
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: And so, like, half the time you see these big, big people.
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, I have like celebrities who follow me sometimes, and I'm just like, why would you my small little loop account?
- 39:05SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, how did she find me and why is she here?
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: But because it's like you just don't know who you relate to, that one person.
- 39:13SPEAKER_01: And I feel like if you are an empath, which we both are, yeah, helping people fills you up, and that's all that matters.
- 39:19SPEAKER_01: Like it at the end of the day, like you can go to bed and put your head on the pillow and be like, I'm on the right path.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 39:24SPEAKER_01: And you're a go-getter, which I think is so cool.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: I feel the same way about you.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: But I I do believe that, you know, with a little bit of failing too comes learning.
- 39:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: And I definitely, I wouldn't say that I'm a failure, but I haven't maybe be, I could be a lot better at other things in my life.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: But I but I don't let that creep in.
- 39:44SPEAKER_00: Like I don't let that run my mind.
- 39:47SPEAKER_00: You know, I don't let that get me down, so to speak.
- 39:50SPEAKER_01: Well, there's always things.
- 39:51SPEAKER_01: I just got back from a trip and I'm like, there's bills to be paid.
- 39:54SPEAKER_01: Like my car is dirty.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: There, I need to get food in the refrigerator.
- 39:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think my list, I've got to go to the bank today because we're having an issue with whatever our accounts.
- 40:00SPEAKER_01: Like, my list is like like this long.
- 40:02SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, well, I'll get to whatever I can today.
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: The girls are happy.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: I probably should get food in the house for tonight's dinner.
- 40:08SPEAKER_01: But like, Rome was not built in a day.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: And I just I give myself grace when I have to.
- 40:13SPEAKER_01: I feel like a lot of women, especially, talk about their bodies, right?
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: And obviously that's part of kind of what the peptide world is.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: But like, talk to it positively.
- 40:23SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: And you'd be surprised, like in general.
- 40:25SPEAKER_01: And when you do have too much time on your hands, it is a devil's workshop in your brain.
- 40:30SPEAKER_01: I so agree.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: Get off that scale, I always say, like, stop looking in the mirror.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: And I am so busy sometimes, like, good and bad.
- 40:36SPEAKER_01: I'll check in and be like, oh God, what is going on?
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I forget what I look like in the mirror because I'm so busy.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: I just throw on clothes and I go.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 40:44SPEAKER_00: I don't even look at the mirror to make sure that I look okay.
- 40:46SPEAKER_01: Or I look back at one podcast, I was like, oh my God, what is something?
- 40:49SPEAKER_00: It's so true.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: It's so true.
- 40:51SPEAKER_01: But then I'm just also like, someone like last week, sometimes you show up so disheveled.
- 40:55SPEAKER_01: I'm like, because I feel it's also more relatable.
- 40:57SPEAKER_01: Like, yes, like I don't not have it all together.
- 41:00SPEAKER_01: Like today I'm really puffy because I was traveling.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 41:02SPEAKER_01: It is what it is.
- 41:03SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm not gonna cancel a podcast.
- 41:04SPEAKER_01: Like I've had people, guests, who've canceled on me multiple times because of how they look.
- 41:09SPEAKER_01: And then be honest.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: Are you serious?
- 41:11SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, oh God, I just show up and I'm like, whatever it is.
- 41:13SPEAKER_01: Like if you like me or don't like me, hopefully you like me better because I'm showing up not perfect.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: I've had so many followers DM me, and I would say, like, the number one thing that I get from people compliment-wise, is we love that you wear your sweatshirt, your sweatpants, and your like Adidas sneakers, your Converse, and your chucks.
- 41:30SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm in mob mode most of the time.
- 41:33SPEAKER_00: So for me, I'm not in glam every time.
- 41:37SPEAKER_00: I mean, yeah, maybe I I went to the blow dry bar this morning.
- 41:39SPEAKER_00: Your hair looks really good for this interview.
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: Guess what?
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: Mine is this afternoon.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: It was not Thursday.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna show up looking great at yours.
- 41:44SPEAKER_01: I don't do this every time I film.
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: Like it, I think it comes across too over the top for a lot of basic people that are living their day-to-day and just trying to survive.
- 41:56SPEAKER_01: Well, and I think there's also people who like to listen to podcasts because it is unfiltered, you know, especially in my world of peptides and your world too.
- 42:03SPEAKER_01: Like, you're not gonna get online and just constantly like you this way it's interactive, you can talk about things, the hard things, like to show up just as a human being.
- 42:11SPEAKER_01: Yes, if you came across all put together every time, I think people aren't gonna believe you.
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: And it's a little off-putting.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, it is, it definitely is.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, look at Alex Cooper.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she's always in sweatshirt sets, like that's my girl right there with what she rocks when she comes.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: So comfortable.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: I freaking love it, and it looks great.
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: And she's like the OG of the female podcasters, so which is so great.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: You know, I just I think there's something to be said for a podcast host that can be authentically themselves.
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: And when I came across you and what you do, I just got that automatic vibe from you and said, I gotta meet this lady.
- 42:44SPEAKER_00: She's just so inspirational.
- 42:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, what's so fun?
- 42:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, thank you.
- 42:48SPEAKER_01: I really, I really don't take that lightly because, you know, like I said, you're not everyone's cup of tea.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: So when you find people the girls that see you that you're saying, hey, let's help each other.
- 42:57SPEAKER_01: Like, I want to when you told me that your event date, I'm like, I'm in town.
- 43:00SPEAKER_01: Yes, of course I'll be there, you know.
- 43:02SPEAKER_01: And that's I think Lori actually taught me a lot about that because she's been forward-facing for a long time.
- 43:07SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 43:08SPEAKER_01: Lori Harder's um my partner right now on In Loop and podcasts and stuff like that.
- 43:12SPEAKER_01: But she showed me a lot and we she had a really hard conversation.
- 43:15SPEAKER_01: We are coming back from our IRL in Dallas, and we sat and our seats were next to each other, ironically.
- 43:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, we didn't plan it.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: And now we're like, we always have to sit next to each other because we got so much work done.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: But we're talking about social media, and she's like, you know, I think my advice to you is like just stop playing small and show up.
- 43:33SPEAKER_01: And even though I thought I was, she's like, no, like you want to be aspirational because you you at 51, like you do work out, you're doing all the things.
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: Like, don't hide that piece, like people are there because they want that.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: So, like, make sure you understand why people are there and then give them for a reason to be there.
- 43:51SPEAKER_01: And like, you're not gonna be someone for everybody, but like don't try to be a thousand things.
- 43:56SPEAKER_01: Cause I was and I still struggle a little bit because I can't talk about.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: peptides on Instagram.
- 44:02SPEAKER_01: So imagine like not telling what you're uh why?
- 44:05SPEAKER_01: Oh they shut you I mean my they ban you for it.
- 44:08SPEAKER_01: Oh well my like my Instagram my bigger one the one I launched off of that's when I has been down for two months.
- 44:15SPEAKER_01: Uh-huh only because you went on there to talk about your company and say I now have a team that protects me believe it or not that like kind of works with tech and like kind of helps with stuff and I run the by almost everything by them but I have to be very very careful how I talk about things and Instagram keeps changing it.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: So like it does oh they're like oh you can talk about education.
- 44:33SPEAKER_01: Well now you can't talk about education from your perspective.
- 44:36SPEAKER_01: You have to like cite sources like for 25 years GHKCU has been talked about I can't say oh my gosh this is what GHKCU has done for me and my clients let me talk to you about it.
- 44:45SPEAKER_01: I can't talk about peptides so it makes it really difficult.
- 44:50SPEAKER_01: It makes it feel like a horse and pony show it makes it feel like and you I can feel with my audience like you definitely like I grew a lot because when I first got on social media I I could do anything with peptides right I could show a vial I could link it to my site I could do everything.
- 45:05SPEAKER_01: Now you cannot show anything.
- 45:06SPEAKER_01: Wow and the one the people that you do see eventually they'll get shut down or they're not making waves enough.
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: But like my account got attacked by all these bots and so like the people that helped me get it back were like we've never seen an account to attack so much.
- 45:21SPEAKER_01: That's crazy Stephanie.
- 45:23SPEAKER_01: Yeah so it makes you have to be resilient and like have thick skin and just go oh well you know and just say like I gotta show more on podcast or I've got to do my Substack or I've got to link arms and be in other people's podcasts so someone can come and say okay her social media you can't see what it is like go to the loop way like be involved in the community.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: It's hard.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah that that's a lot I have no idea and censorship it's like oh yeah no that's a real thing.
- 45:46SPEAKER_01: Hey podcast listeners okay I know I've been teasing this a lot but loop beauty is about to hit now we don't have the exact name yet so I'm calling it loop beauty until we all figure it out.
- 45:56SPEAKER_01: Maybe you guys have some ideas.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: But for our beta group you are gonna get our DHKCU 2% serum and I'm telling you I've been working on this for months and months and months with our chemists back and forth, combining my favorite ingredients, talk about hydration, the glow DHKCU is really known for its properties of increasing collagen, helping with acne scars.
- 46:15SPEAKER_01: I'm actually noticing on my skin not only that fine lines and wrinkles are getting becoming less, but also my sunspots are going away, which I actually have a lot of trouble with being part Hawaiian.
- 46:24SPEAKER_01: Then we have our moisturizer now let's talk about dewy thick.
- 46:28SPEAKER_01: It's great for the evening it really locks everything in.
- 46:31SPEAKER_01: And then I tell everybody in between the two use a red light mask.
- 46:34SPEAKER_01: It's fantastic.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: If you haven't signed up yet we still have some spots left so we'll have the link here we're only letting the first 120 people in so if you want to purchase it don't sleep on it.
- 46:45SPEAKER_01: And then in the fall we should have our whole line coming out we've got sunscreen eye masks and whole other things that are in the work.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: So hang in there check it out.
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: When you were question for you when you were going through the darkest moments of your divorce like health and wellness wise what did you lean on back then?
- 47:02SPEAKER_01: God so part of my story which is nuts is so I was a runner in college.
- 47:05SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 47:06SPEAKER_01: So I was literally running my way through my divorce and I was so inflamed and so swollen and then nothing was working.
- 47:16SPEAKER_01: And then the more tired I got the more I ran or the more hit I did or the more like I was just literally like driving myself into the ground.
- 47:23SPEAKER_01: And so you know you know getting we all have our tools and I call these you know exercise isn't a tool or you can abuse it.
- 47:30SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 47:30SPEAKER_01: I was definitely like an addict abusing exercise to get me through my divorce.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: I mean people would say oh that's probably better than alcohol or drugs or multiple partners.
- 47:40SPEAKER_01: I think it's equally as dangerous because I was definitely in a bad place.
- 47:44SPEAKER_01: And that's why when I tore my ACL the meniscus I do feel like God came in and gave me a hammer to my knee and was like the only way you're gonna stop is if I help you.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: And I surrendered I I mean I I think I willed it personally.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah I mean it's crazy that you say that because on a very different level you and I were doing the same thing.
- 48:03SPEAKER_00: When I was going through my divorce I mean my divorce was in the courts for way too long.
- 48:08SPEAKER_00: And that was like my second home for years.
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: And I was just I was exhausted and I went to every single grit psycho class I went to every berry's class to numb to forget to run away from what I was going through.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: No, I wasn't going out Friday and Saturday night and getting wasted I was not living on antidepressants.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: I was not going down that road because in my the back of my mind I'm like I have a daughter that I need to be a role model for through all of this.
- 48:33SPEAKER_00: But to an extent I was doing my body disservice by numbing yes by forcing so much pressure and stress hence why I'm now here on this really crazy adrenal support program because I have so much inflammation internally throughout my whole body from chronic stress that I was putting on myself by interval training by pressuring my body to look a certain way.
- 48:57SPEAKER_01: Well and imagine you're already going through your divorce right so you're already having this like constant fight or flight right constant like am I gonna be okay I can't even imagine being in the courts as long as you were an ex-husband like you have.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: Like I can't imagine thank God I did not have that but I do know what that feels like.
- 49:13SPEAKER_01: So like your cortisol is already through the roof a bear's already been chasing you and now you're like oh guess what I'm gonna do today I'm gonna beat the hell out of you again.
- 49:22SPEAKER_01: And this is gonna be great for me.
- 49:23SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 49:24SPEAKER_01: And right but that's where you had to give yourself grace I know you didn't know better and I think it's a you know the less of two evils is what other things you could have been doing.
- 49:32SPEAKER_01: But there's a lot of clients that I work with now breaking the addiction of cardiovascular like you're used to the high you want the high it's a hard breakup.
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: It is stopping the grit stock of the grit was hard how did you how did you do it?
- 49:48SPEAKER_00: Getting sick getting sick and being chronically ill.
- 49:51SPEAKER_01: So talk about you getting sick.
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah so I woke up one morning and I couldn't hear out of my right ear and everyone was like oh you must have a brain tumor and so I had to go in for a full pronoun which is a big thing right now the full body MRI which I did it last April.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: I am a huge proponent me too huge proponent I mean they're gonna find something I'm just like like warning you if you listen to this like they they're in the industry see they're in the industry to find everything.
- 50:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah which there's a good and a bad with that right the bad is you freak out when you see all these when your results come back.
- 50:21SPEAKER_00: The good is you get to be on top of your health every two years I want to do it.
- 50:27SPEAKER_01: Yes that's what they said every two years.
- 50:29SPEAKER_00: Same um luckily no brain tumor but I'm scared to death scared to death I mean I broke down crying at the thought of not being here from my daughter.
- 50:37SPEAKER_01: So my the reason I went is that they thought I had cancer because my markers I was fighting something else but my my naturopath MD is like I need you to go get a prenova test yesterday and I'm like you're scaring me and she goes something your body's fighting something we got to figure it out.
- 50:51SPEAKER_01: Yes and I drove the whole way to San Diego saying I'm dying.
- 50:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah and then the whole way back to say yes and I don't need to make fun of it because it's like but knowledge is power.
- 51:00SPEAKER_00: Okay keep keep going we can do similar yeah I I was being misdiagnosed oh it's paramenopause oh it's this so you know no one could really figure out I was like a guinea pig at this point for like I would say a solid two years.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: Then I was push on I was put on HRT which was the wrong thing to put me on because that's not what it ended up being.
- 51:17SPEAKER_00: My OBGYN thank God shout out to her she she's uh my God sent but she said to me the only person you need to be seeing right now is a very high level natural path that is well versed in tests like the Dutch test outside tests that insurance doesn't cover like you need to now be your own advocate and you need to think outside the box with your health because we're dealing with something that we can't pinpoint.
- 51:42SPEAKER_00: So I go to a local naturopath Dr.
- 51:45SPEAKER_00: Ciani at Newport Integrative right over here and she did a Dutch test on me.
- 51:50SPEAKER_00: She's done tons of blood work on me and yeah I have an autoimmune disease.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: And so it's I have flare-ups from it but the only thing that causes severe flare-ups is environmental stress and extra unnecessary stress i.e the kind of workouts and lifestyle I was living I mean I was literally killing my adrenal system I was drinking two cold brews a day and putting cold foam on both and then I wouldn't eat anything with that.
- 52:18SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 52:19SPEAKER_01: And then I would go take a grit class because it was just exactly like gasoline on like a fire that's already like home.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: So she changed she's like you need to eat every four hours you need to get off your HRT.
- 52:33SPEAKER_00: You need to start doing an adrenal support system with supplements you need to start doing lower intensity workouts.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: So now I'm a huge proponent of like heated matte Pilates.
- 52:42SPEAKER_00: Yes love it live it it's my go-to I will go to the gym and I will lift but I will not lift as heavy as I used to and I'll only lift maybe like two days a week and that is it.
- 52:52SPEAKER_00: Perfect.
- 52:52SPEAKER_01: Yeah and what I like about this and I tell everybody to because I'm I talk about progressive overload training because it's works so well for me.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 52:58SPEAKER_01: But I say a ton to you was like you've got to pick what's right for you because it's not a one size fits all and only you know what's right for your body.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 53:05SPEAKER_01: And if and then I say however the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and thinking so if you look in the mirror and do not like the body composition or you don't feel good or meant to like stop doing the same thing over and over and thinking one day you're gonna wake up and be like, oh I've got my dream body.
- 53:20SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 53:20SPEAKER_01: And that's one and then the second thing I always say too is that like at our age well I'm older than you but at my age you gotta like what you're doing.
- 53:27SPEAKER_01: You really do.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: You've got to like it.
- 53:28SPEAKER_01: So like there's twofolds like figure out what you like that hopefully also works.
- 53:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah and find it.
- 53:34SPEAKER_01: And then and then and guess what it might not work in four years.
- 53:38SPEAKER_01: And then you go well then we're gonna have to reevaluate this.
- 53:40SPEAKER_00: Yes you have to have really realistic expectations especially as we get older as women we have to end post pregnancy like having children your body's not gonna look how it looked when you were 18 unless you can go get a full mommy makeover which I mean kudos to you.
- 53:54SPEAKER_00: If I had more than one I would be in there the next day getting everything nip tucked so that I could even that but even that still still that doesn't solve everything.
- 54:02SPEAKER_01: No it does not because it's up here but I think you know mostly it was about confidence.
- 54:07SPEAKER_01: It's about energy.
- 54:08SPEAKER_01: Yes and I think and that's what I try to tell women is like how when you start feeling really good in your body it doesn't really matter how you look because you're feeling so good.
- 54:16SPEAKER_01: So usually when you see a woman walk through that door if they're starving themselves they're hangry yes they're this they're not their energy is I don't care how beautiful you are there's a billion beautiful women where we live and look on Instagram like it's like there are a dime a dozen but now woman with energy is and it's exuding from them.
- 54:36SPEAKER_01: Yes that's what I get attracted to and it's like she gets it she's figured it out she's happy whatever she's doing she's not staring in the mirror and like tearing herself down.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 54:44SPEAKER_01: She's figured it out correct so there's a lot of that a lot of coaching I think in your industry and mine because it is so much especially when you're coming out of a hard time where you feel like okay now I'm single I've got to look perfect.
- 54:57SPEAKER_01: Right or did they not like me or did is my marriage not work because of me and there's just so many questions you ask yourself.
- 55:03SPEAKER_00: Dating after divorce I don't know how your experience was before you met your boyfriend but my experience has been hell differently and I can't imagine in this um neighborhood.
- 55:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah neighborhood with this Orange County the land of the pretty people yeah exactly it's like you know you're great but what's next yeah is the mentality that I noticed with most men around here or they just don't want a commitment at all.
- 55:23SPEAKER_00: They just want to keep their options open and play around which at my age and being a divorced mom like I don't have the energy for that.
- 55:30SPEAKER_01: Do you want to get married again?
- 55:31SPEAKER_00: I don't know if I do to be honest with you Stephanie.
- 55:33SPEAKER_00: I would love to have a life partner.
- 55:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah I think that sounds appealing to me because I've built so much peace in my life that I will be honest I am terrified of putting my daughter through a second divorce and I have so many assets now that are mine that I've worked so hard for like owning my own house and starting this podcast and all the things that I would love to just have something in my life to enjoy, to travel with, to enjoy the little fine things behind.
- 56:00SPEAKER_00: Yes I always go back to them.
- 56:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah I would love to have something like that.
- 56:04SPEAKER_01: You know what's interesting I that I've been struggling with because I was the same way I'm like I don't really know if I want to get married again.
- 56:10SPEAKER_01: Where I am in my partnership the hard part it's actually weird because I have like a reaction to it like when they say boyfriend it feels like it doesn't do our relationship justice.
- 56:21SPEAKER_01: And then partner sounds in like I haven't figured out the right word right and it's more the word than it is about wanting to be married or being engaged or anything.
- 56:31SPEAKER_01: It's just the word I struggle with because sometimes you want that not even validation you just want like the relationship it's so much more.
- 56:40SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 56:41SPEAKER_01: But how do we I wish we had another word I know I do that was like because I think to your point I think you're gonna find a lot more people who don't want to get married again because it is so hard to get divorced.
- 56:51SPEAKER_01: It is it's really easy to get married.
- 56:52SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 56:53SPEAKER_01: But hard to get divorced and it's complicated and there's little people and there's assets and there's just the unwinding of it and it's expensive.
- 57:00SPEAKER_01: Like it's not the best use of your money.
- 57:02SPEAKER_00: No it's really not and I had to work so hard to get through the emotional turmoil of all of that and now my health is taking a hit from all of that.
- 57:08SPEAKER_00: Oh I'm gonna get you back girl.
- 57:10SPEAKER_00: I know I'm gonna help get you back.
- 57:11SPEAKER_00: I know you are I know you are I'm excited to talk about that more with you off camera but I I fear that I fear going backwards because I work so hard to get where I am now and I'm still not done yet.
- 57:22SPEAKER_01: What well you are not done by the way because I can't wait to see what's gonna happen in six months, a year kind of as you keep going you can just feel it.
- 57:28SPEAKER_01: I can feel the drive and energy of where you're at thank you.
- 57:31SPEAKER_01: You know I feel too that like when it comes to just society in general I think when you go against the norm, no matter what that looks like for everyone's different right I think it's now more common to be in something that's non-traditional I think it's more common to to make a decision for yourself to be a strong woman to say like I want to have my own money.
- 57:53SPEAKER_01: I talked to my girls a lot about that like I said I will never ever let you not have your own one of my regrets is I didn't keep things more separate.
- 58:02SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of trust that goes on and I you know and I wish my parents I love you guys are wonderful but had helped protect me a little bit more.
- 58:09SPEAKER_01: Yes and they were interesting because they were more saying like hey you never want to have a discrepancy you want you know you never want money to be an issue.
- 58:16SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 58:16SPEAKER_01: And I'm like oh no no no no if you're with the right person who's very strong it's okay to have your own money right it's okay to be a strong woman like it's okay to like want to build an empire like it's okay.
- 58:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah you just need to find a man that will still be feminine and I think this dance and I I work on it still of masculine versus masculine and the feminist I know I can be very feminine in my relationship.
- 58:38SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 58:39SPEAKER_01: However there's a lot of pieces with our business that like I have to sometimes step up and be like whose eyes are on this I'm the same way.
- 58:46SPEAKER_01: You know and I'm in this my face is this business like what is going on yes and I I feel the masculine come out and I'm like because I was so masculine in my marriage so masculine I hated it.
- 58:55SPEAKER_00: Did you feel like you always had to defend yourself or like handle everything because if you didn't handle it nobody else did I feel like I was pulling a boulder up and I'm very honest and I'm very open.
- 59:06SPEAKER_01: So when I ask something of somebody and they look me in the eyes and they're like I'm willing to work on it.
- 59:12SPEAKER_01: I'm willing to change I trust and so when they don't it lets me down even more and I'm like well you must not love me because if you love me what I'm asking for in my mind is just growth.
- 59:21SPEAKER_01: Yes and I'm willing to grow with you.
- 59:24SPEAKER_01: But the longer that it went on and the more open and honest in what I was asking of it was almost like a disrespect.
- 59:30SPEAKER_01: Like I felt like it was like I don't care you're never gonna go anywhere.
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: Like I don't care like and so that was for me.
- 59:37SPEAKER_01: So and I that is probably the one thing that is I find is a pattern in my life in general like if someone gives me their word even an employee like if you're telling me that you're gonna do something I expect it done or same hey if I want you available between the hours of 8 a.m and four and you say you can it's 801 I expect you to be available.
- 59:58SPEAKER_01: I'm the same way.
- 59:58SPEAKER_01: Because I that because I my that's how my work that's how I work like I'm very much like if you tell me that you're gonna if I tell you I'm gonna do something I do I mean I lead by example and I think that's really important.
- 1:00:09SPEAKER_00: Yes I'm the same exact way.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_00: Maybe that's old school values.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah I don't know but I I feel like that lacks in society today.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_01: But also you're a hard worker like to go through the divorce you went through to have a full time job to now be like I'm gonna create a podcast that's gonna be amazing I can tell and not being like why is anyone listen to me like you know why they're gonna listen to you.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_00: I do I do like I I know why does that come from I don't know I think because I just always had this knowing that I was different from everybody else.
- 1:00:36SPEAKER_00: And I always knew that I had something that I could add to the mix that nobody else could bring to the table.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_01: I just needed people to be open to listening what's your human design do you know um I'm what is my way human design have you done human design no I haven't oh I'm studying you Mira.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_01: Oh she's great.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_01: No I haven't we're gonna you're gonna do some human design you'll love it you'll love it because it's actually really fun to parent your children with it.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_01: I actually need to have my girls do it because I'll be able to parent them better.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:01:01SPEAKER_01: You'll I think I know what you are I'm not gonna tell you one day once I'm gonna send you her contact.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_01: You will love her.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_01: Oh I love that.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_01: And especially because all the work that you do it's just like one more layer of understanding who you are and why you are and what you need to do to like even be more in your power of who you are.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_01: I would love it it was a huge piece of how I started my company and like but it yeah I wouldn't I cannot I'm excited okay it's a season always opened five minutes about five minutes ago so I now you're on the hot seat.
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_01: I'm in the hot seat yeah yes okay all right so if you could go back to your 20 year old self what would you what advice would you give her just stay who you are don't I I tried so hard to get people to like me.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_00: Yes because I was kind of awkward you know I was very tomboy and I talk about this very openly on the podcast that I always wore baggy jeans baggy sweatshirts because I jumped horses I was an equestrian so I didn't find my girly side until I was probably in my I don't know early 30s.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_00: I kind of I'm similar to you yeah but like teens and 20s I was very tomboy very in my masculine yeah all the time and then I hit my 30s and I wanted to be in my feminine a little bit more.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_00: I love that then I got married and I was in my masculine way too much.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_00: And are you backing the feminine would you say oh it's hard Stephanie because with this podcast and now being a boss and having people working under you you kind of have to be a little in your masculine.
- 1:02:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_00: But I do try to find that balance more than I ever have.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_01: They also say you have to be a little crazy.
- 1:02:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:02:27SPEAKER_00: You gotta be a little crazy I think a scoach of crazy to keep things interesting.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_01: Well well to do what you do.
- 1:02:31SPEAKER_01: I mean it's like you have to be the the dreamer that's like you know why wouldn't I?
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_00: Totally you know a little bit of like ignorance is blissful why wouldn't I have the number one podcast one person tell me you're never gonna be anything without me and that is literally I take that I will take that with me into my grave like oh you're like I will show you watch watch me.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_00: I don't let someone say those things and it really messes my confidence.
- 1:02:55SPEAKER_00: I look at it and I go that's that's your loss.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_01: I love that just watch me yeah because I'm gonna prove you wrong that's so good.
- 1:03:02SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:03:03SPEAKER_01: So what's um a daily non-negotiable for you oh I have to sweat you know what's interesting I have to sweat we're gonna pull this easier I would want to I probably think on I think 90% of the answers I ask everyone the same questions.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah um has been movement of some sort have to sweat.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_00: Yes I if I don't sweat or get my body moving I have horrible anxiety.
- 1:03:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah me too horrible anxiety me too and then I just rabbit hole like and then my OCD is on fire and then my perfectionist is even on fire everyone doesn't want to be around me.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah so I have to just get it out I have to sweat it out.
- 1:03:42SPEAKER_01: I love that yeah all right what's something that's like a daily something that someone would think is like a guilty pleasure that's not so guilty.
- 1:03:51SPEAKER_01: I love reality love shows.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_00: Love island story again I'm addicted to love islands.
- 1:03:56SPEAKER_01: So my girls got me into love I didn't like it in the beginning and now we are traveling so much so they maybe watch it now I'm into it.
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_01: Now I'm really into it and it's like I'm I've always been a reality show I'm not a big TV person.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_01: I'm not either I love reality shows and people are like I'm like this it's just so brainless.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_00: It's brain numbing well and it's it makes for great guest content too like I had Teresa from Age of Attraction on where we got to talk about what it's like to be in your 50s and dating younger guys in their 20s and I can't imagine I know I just love how like honest and real and how she owned it.
- 1:04:28SPEAKER_00: So I had she was on the podcast and I had Farmer Wants a wife I had a contestant from Farmer Wants a Wife on okay I feel definitely sort of your niche is like bringing some of these reality Yeah women to just come in and open up but also get people to look at them as humans and not look at them as what their character was in the show.
- 1:04:47SPEAKER_01: I think the Love Island piece is a little hard for me because I think these women are so sexualized.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_01: Love Island is very sexual I'm like I'm a I'm honest I'm a little horrified like watching my girls watch it and then like we have a my boyfriend has a younger daughter and she's watching it and I'm like oh my I mean it is a lot.
- 1:05:07SPEAKER_01: I know it is and my only piece of it is I'm like is this really where America is right now we're all into it.
- 1:05:13SPEAKER_01: I know so I mean I'm I'm watching it but I'm a little there's a little parts of it just I think more how the women come the men don't bother me.
- 1:05:19SPEAKER_01: I think it's just how the for some reason maybe it's the thongs like and the humping and I don't know what it is or ideas that they put that I'm conservative maybe a little bit so anyway let's not get into that piece of no I I understand what you're saying.
- 1:05:32SPEAKER_01: But I just sometimes I'm like oh I just wish the women were like I like I like I think it's very interesting to go through I like it's entertaining.
- 1:05:39SPEAKER_01: I just wish it was not so sexual.
- 1:05:40SPEAKER_00: I I totally am with you on that.
- 1:05:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah no I'm totally with you on that but I I think in society for whatever reason women are always overly sexually like it's very rare that you see that happen to men.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:05:51SPEAKER_00: It's the women that you see that happen to and as moms of daughters yeah it's definitely a sensitive point.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_01: Or judge it's you know it's like you judge a woman How they're dressing, and you're like, Oh, she's dressing so sexy, or like, she was she looks amazing right now.
- 1:06:04SPEAKER_01: She feels amazing.
- 1:06:05SPEAKER_01: Like, yes, who, like the guys in a tight shirt and tight pants.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:06:09SPEAKER_00: No, it's very true.
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_00: It's always a double standard.
- 1:06:12SPEAKER_01: It's always a double standard.
- 1:06:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:06:14SPEAKER_01: All right, let's talk pat size a little bit.
- 1:06:16SPEAKER_00: Please, yes.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_00: I I think I told you I was on them for a little while.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:06:20SPEAKER_00: I did not get good results.
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_01: That's because you didn't work with me.
- 1:06:23SPEAKER_01: I'm really unpocky.
- 1:06:24SPEAKER_01: No.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_00: That's probably why.
- 1:06:25SPEAKER_01: Well, no, no, no.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_01: Well, a lot, obviously, a lot of the reason why people don't get good results is there's, and I know why now when you told me a little bit about what's going on, when you have all this other stuff going on, there's no room for the peptide really to work.
- 1:06:39SPEAKER_01: And so what happens is we need to, and I and this happens a lot, is like, especially when people are coming in on a GLP and they're saying it's not working, they have no business being on a GLP.
- 1:06:48SPEAKER_01: And it's because they have so much inflammation in their body, they have an autoimmune, they have all this other stuff going on.
- 1:06:53SPEAKER_01: So their body, the GLP is really powerful, even in a microdose.
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_01: Their body cannot handle and it floors them, it levels them.
- 1:07:00SPEAKER_01: They have no energy, they can't move.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_01: They, it's so oftentimes we're rewinding, but like it is putting a little bit of a piece of the puzzle together.
- 1:07:08SPEAKER_01: What I'm loving about us, I'm gonna work with you.
- 1:07:10SPEAKER_01: Okay, if you like it or not.
- 1:07:11SPEAKER_01: I would love it.
- 1:07:12SPEAKER_01: Um, but because you've been seeing this functional medicine doctor and you have your Dutch test, you have your labs, and we kind of sounds like you know what's going on.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's when the peptides will do wonders for you.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_01: And the way that I work a little bit is I always say peptides aren't going anywhere.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_01: So we are not going to do a sprint.
- 1:07:28SPEAKER_01: We're gonna look at this as quarters, right?
- 1:07:30SPEAKER_01: So there's a quarter here, and then it gets really, really fun.
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_01: Because as your body starts to heal itself and come back to hold meostasis, then we can start to work with your mitochondria.
- 1:07:38SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:07:39SPEAKER_01: Then we can work with your brain.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:07:40SPEAKER_01: And that's the part where you stay.
- 1:07:42SPEAKER_01: You know, people come in for the sexy and they come in for the weight loss and the hair and the glowing, and that's natural because then you're like, well, my Mary Jo has that.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_01: I want that.
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:07:51SPEAKER_01: But then when you really understand the power peptides, right, you stay for all the other ones.
- 1:07:56SPEAKER_00: That's more of why I wanted to be on them, was just to feel better.
- 1:07:59SPEAKER_00: You'll feel amazing.
- 1:08:00SPEAKER_00: To feel like myself again.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_01: You'll feel amazing.
- 1:08:02SPEAKER_00: You know, well, there's so much difference in the brain.
- 1:08:03SPEAKER_00: I think I was being misdiagnosed with paramenopause and being on HRT and all the things.
- 1:08:08SPEAKER_00: I think that's why they the whatever I was on was not on the.
- 1:08:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, I was on the glow stack for a little while.
- 1:08:13SPEAKER_00: I did not notice a huge difference in my skin and my hair and my nails at all.
- 1:08:16SPEAKER_00: If anything, I noticed more darker pigmentation on my face because I have very European skin and I'm very prone to pigmentation.
- 1:08:25SPEAKER_00: We know it's interesting.
- 1:08:26SPEAKER_01: I've been microneedling G H KCU.
- 1:08:28SPEAKER_01: And I just did it recently, my fifth one.
- 1:08:32SPEAKER_01: And I'm playing with it because it's part of our protocols when it comes to our skincare line.
- 1:08:36SPEAKER_01: So I'm pushing the envelope.
- 1:08:37SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:08:38SPEAKER_01: So I pushed it, I got all burnt here.
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_01: I can probably see it.
- 1:08:41SPEAKER_01: And it's what's interesting is it's almost acting like a laser.
- 1:08:44SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_01: So now it's like really peeling off, but it's not a one size fits all.
- 1:08:51SPEAKER_01: And so now, actually, now I am glad it happened to me and nobody else.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:08:54SPEAKER_01: That there is a range to it because you have to be careful with how you're using it, what type of skin, how we're talking to the aestheticians, the power of a peptide.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:09:02SPEAKER_01: Peptides are really, really powerful.
- 1:09:03SPEAKER_01: And they are, they should, they're, they should be in the supplement category, but taken very seriously.
- 1:09:08SPEAKER_01: So that's why I always say, like, I'm not the end all be all, but you need to work with a coach or a doctor.
- 1:09:13SPEAKER_01: And I always say, I bring up my doctors and to and my nurses into a lot of my stuff.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:09:18SPEAKER_01: But when people are just going through telehealth, which I have now, which is fine, there's no touch point.
- 1:09:25SPEAKER_01: So we're trying to create touch points within the telehealth because what happens is you go through a funnel and you get spit out, and they're like, Well, here's this obnoxious dose of GLP.
- 1:09:32SPEAKER_01: And they say it's a microdose and it's not, it's it's a low dose where you're starting.
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:09:36SPEAKER_01: And there's no support, and there's so much that's mental.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_01: Yes, so much that's mental that I have to really kind of dig in with and unwind.
- 1:09:43SPEAKER_01: And so it's the fun part though.
- 1:09:45SPEAKER_01: No, I'm really excited.
- 1:09:46SPEAKER_00: I'm really excited to pick your brain about them.
- 1:09:49SPEAKER_00: I'm really excited to be educated on them, probably the right way.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:09:52SPEAKER_00: And I think once I'm able to get my body stabilized and get my adrenals and my lymphatic system stabilized, which is what I've literally been working on the last two months.
- 1:10:01SPEAKER_00: So it's still very fresh and very.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_00: So I can help you.
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_00: So I almost feel like once I get that all stable, then the next step would be getting.
- 1:10:09SPEAKER_01: And when your body starts working for you instead of against you, it's an amazing feeling.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_01: So we'll get you there.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_01: No, I'm not going to be able to do that.
- 1:10:15SPEAKER_01: We're gonna end there because we have a lot to talk about in the peptide world.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna come on your podcast later this week.
- 1:10:21SPEAKER_01: So we'll chat more.
- 1:10:22SPEAKER_01: But thank you for spending time.
