Transcript
- 0:01Missing 14 year old Celeste Rivas Hernandez's body was found
- 0:07over two months ago in the trunk of a Tesla belonging to David
- 0:12Burke. And the latest update from the
- 0:15LAPD is no update at all. And it leaves me with so many
- 0:20questions, probably leaves you with the same questions.
- 0:25And let's get into it tonight. This video contains mature
- 0:41themes and discussions intended only for adult audiences.
- 0:45Viewer discretion is advised. Hello there, my friend, and
- 0:50welcome back to another true crime conversation right here on
- 0:55this here channel. My name is Gavin.
- 0:57Thank you very much for joining me.
- 0:59We like to cut through the fluff and sensationalism of true crime
- 1:02here on this channel. We don't always succeed.
- 1:05I feel like tonight we're not going to succeed at all, but
- 1:10that's what we try to do. We try to get into the nitty
- 1:12gritty. Unfortunately, in some cases,
- 1:14like the case of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, there's not a lot of
- 1:19nitty gritty to dive into. There's just lots of questions
- 1:27and, you know, the LAPD does not have to bring their case out
- 1:34into the press, right? They don't have to do that.
- 1:36Why is my lower third not working?
- 1:39What's going on? What is going on?
- 1:43Doesn't want to work. I hope the other stuff will work
- 1:48tonight. We're having issues, guys.
- 1:50Hey, before we dig into the case, a couple things that I
- 1:54want to make you aware of. And actually one of them is
- 1:57right here, right over here on the Fish tank.

- 2:21is now available on Spotify. It has been submitted to all the
- 2:25other places. It'll show up the other places
- 2:27in the next couple of days. So if you are a podcast listener
- 2:32and would rather just listen to the audio while you're doing
- 2:35stuff, that is where you can go. While we are over here, I want
- 2:41to show you my favorite, my favorite comment.

- 2:47I don't know. I don't know that's that's a
- 2:49terrible name, Gavin. That is a terrible name.
- 2:51We're not going to call it viewer mail because it's we're
- 2:53going to call it comments. Doesn't matter.
- 2:54OK, Zodak blacks K However you say that this is the best
- 3:02comment says Gavin is starting to look like he'd he'd give me
- 3:09the best weed recommendations. As you guys know, I love

- 6:23to but so just know that if you put GF in your comment, I'll be
- 6:28able to see it here on my side and we'll get into the stuff.
- 6:31OK, let's dive in, shall we? Let's go over to Acrobat first.
- 6:37Let's we're going to bring up again, we're talking about
- 6:40Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Just a quick kind of recap.
- 6:47Actually, I wrote about it in a blog today on my website.
- 6:51If you are subscribed to the Crime COD newsletter, you will
- 6:54have received this in your inbox.
- 6:56But I wrote a blog titled How is this not a crime?
- 7:00Why? Why The LAP DS No update is an
- 7:04update and I put a little background here.
- 7:07So just why don't we just read this real quick and this will be
- 7:11our background, OK? On September 8th, workers at a
- 7:14Hollywood impound lot reported a strong odor coming from a Tesla
- 7:18that had been towed in after someone called it abandoned in
- 7:22the Hollywood Hills. Inside the front trunk, police
- 7:24found a bag containing human remains.
- 7:26The body was so badly decomposed it took more than a week to
- 7:29identify. The Los Angeles County Medical
- 7:32Examiner eventually identified the victim as 14 year old
- 7:35Celeste Rivas Hernandez. The vehicle is registered to
- 7:39musician David, legal name David Anthony Burke.
- 7:44Reporting since then has included the following details.
- 7:47A matching tattoo with Celeste. A mother who had who said her
- 7:50daughter's boyfriend was named David.
- 7:52An unreleased love song with the name Celeste in the working
- 7:55title. A police with the name Celeste
- 7:58in the working title. A police raid at the residence
- 8:00connected to David. His subsequent move from that
- 8:03residence and after initially continuing his tour, the
- 8:06cancellation of remaining dates. So, yeah, authorities have
- 8:12repeatedly said he has not been arrested, charged or named as a
- 8:16suspect. And you know, there's, there's a
- 8:21whole bunch here that you can, we're going to watch this video
- 8:24here in just a bit. Those on the podcast will hear
- 8:26the audio. But this is something this
- 8:28there's a 14 year old girl. She would have been 15 by the
- 8:31time she was found. I think that's split in hairs.
- 8:34I don't think it really matters all that much, but.
- 8:37And he himself is 20 now. I want to go over to this
- 8:43article by it was on Men's Journal.
- 8:47It's titled Police standing by their statement in David case,
- 8:51Celeste Rivas. Yeah, in David Celeste Rivas
- 8:55case. OK, over 2 months ago,
- 8:59authorities made a grim discovery when they found the
- 9:01dismembered and decomposing body of 14 year old Celeste Rivas in
- 9:05the trunk of a vehicle belonging to 20 year old singer David
- 9:10Again David Anthony Burke. Over the past two months,
- 9:13months, authorities have continued to investigate the
- 9:15death and how the body ended up in the car, but authorities have
- 9:18had very little information to share on the case over the past
- 9:21several weeks. Recently, the Los Angeles Police
- 9:24Department issued another statement on the matter in which
- 9:27it essentially stood by another statement it made back in
- 9:30September. Let's go to that statement,
- 9:35shall we? This is the statement from
- 9:37September 29th from media relations of the Los Angeles
- 9:42Police Department, Dateline Hollywood.
- 9:44The Los Angeles Police Department's Robbery Homicide
- 9:47Division, RHD, has been diligently investigating the
- 9:51death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez over the past several weeks.
- 9:54At this time, we can confirm that Celeste Rivas Hernandez is
- 9:58deceased and her body was found in the front trunk area of a
- 10:02Tesla belonging to David Burke. The vehicle had been parked at
- 10:07the location from which it was towed for several weeks, so Miss
- 10:11Rivas Hernandez may have been deceased for several weeks prior
- 10:16or before the discovery of her body.
- 10:19The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined
- 10:22the cause or manner of Miss Rivas Hernandez's death.
- 10:25As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal
- 10:30culpability beyond the concealment of her body.
- 10:33So at least there is that. RHD is thoroughly examinating
- 10:39every aspect of the case to uncover the truth and seek
- 10:43justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.
- 10:46We appreciate the public's patience and understanding as we
- 10:49continue this investigation. Further updates will be provided
- 10:52as appropriate, but at this time we are unable to answer
- 10:55additional questions. So that was the original,
- 10:59original release their statement.
- 11:03So basically what happened was the LAPD issued a statement to
- 11:08the a local local news organization saying our
- 11:14statement from September still stands.
- 11:20So there's no crime here except for concealing Celeste's body so
- 11:28far, right? OK, while this obviously
- 11:32continues the article in what is it again, Men's Journal?
- 11:41While this obviously does not provide any new information, one
- 11:45expert explains why it is still a telling statement to make.
- 11:51We can get past the what we know so far kind of thing.
- 11:54We all know that, OK? Two months after the body was
- 11:58discovered in David's vehicle, KTLA 5 in Los Angeles reached
- 12:01out to the LAPD seeking an update on the case.
- 12:04However, the department did not have any substantial update to
- 12:08offer, telling the outlet that its news release stands on its
- 12:11own. That news release was dated
- 12:15September 29th, weeks ago, the one that we just read and weeks
- 12:18after the body was discovered, quote, the Los Angeles Medical
- 12:22Examiner, we just read this, but we'll do it again.
- 12:24The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet determined
- 12:27the cause or manner of Miss Rivas Hernandez's death.
- 12:30As such, it remains unclear whether there is any criminal
- 12:34culpability beyond the concealment of her body, the
- 12:38September 29th news release reads.
- 12:41And then it continues. RHD is thoroughly examining
- 12:43every aspect of the case to uncover the truth and seek
- 12:46justice for Celeste Rivas Hernandez and her family.
- 12:50Aside from that week's old news release, the LAPD has been
- 12:53largely silent on the investigation.
- 12:56OK. While the statement continues,
- 12:58Men's Journal that the LAPD is standing by a statement from
- 13:01weeks ago. Private investigator Steve
- 13:03Fisher explains why this statement is telling in and of
- 13:07itself. Now, remember Mr. Fisher, We
- 13:11remember him from this video that we watched.
- 13:14Maybe we'll watch it again tonight.
- 13:17We watched it on, I don't know, in the last episode that we did
- 13:21on this case. It is a clip from Vinny Politan
- 13:26Investigates, I think anyway, it's Vinny Politan and Mr.
- 13:31Fisher was hired by the owner of the Hollywood Hills home.
- 13:36I don't have a picture of that show you guys, but he was, he
- 13:39was hired by the owner of the Hollywood Hills home that David
- 13:42had been leasing or some, I think his agent or his, his
- 13:47label had been leasing for him to investigate things in the
- 13:55house. And so Mr. Fisher did that and
- 13:58he said in this, in this interview with Vinny Politan, I
- 14:02think we should just go ahead and watch it.
- 14:04But he basically said there were some other things in there that
- 14:09in and of themselves are not illegal to own, but are telling
- 14:13of what was going on there. Let's just watch.
- 14:15This is 8 minutes long. It was David's, but the question
- 14:18is who was driving the car? Who had access to the car?
- 14:22Who left the car abandoned on the side of the road?
- 14:26To me, that's an important question in all of this.
- 14:29It might not. That person may not be the
- 14:31killer, but that person may have some information that could lead
- 14:36you to the answer to what happened to this teenage girl.
- 14:43We've got a special guest joining us here at the top of
- 14:46the show on this story. Missing persons private
- 14:50investigator, search and rescue pilot and ground search
- 14:53technician Steve Fisher is with us.
- 14:55He was also hired by the homeowner of the house where the
- 15:00singer David was living. Also joining us, host of the
- 15:04Outlier podcast and pop crime TV reporter Lauren Collin.
- 15:08Great to have both of you here tonight.
- 15:10Steve, I want to begin with you because making a lot of news
- 15:15with all of this involving a video apparently that you were
- 15:19to get your hands on. Give us the back story on the
- 15:22video, what you can tell us about the video and what that
- 15:26video revealed to you and what you've done with the video.
- 15:33So it's from it's from the neighborhood, it's right down
- 15:35the street from the house that you know, David was staying in
- 15:39that is manager leased. And it's video of the Tesla, you
- 15:43know, being moved on the 29th, July 29th about midday.
- 15:50And it's the same day that. By the way, this guy, Steve
- 15:54Fisher was a guest today on Surviving the Survivor that I
- 15:57got to catch a few minutes of. I'm going to see if Mr. Fisher
- 16:01would join us for a conversation as well.
- 16:05Let's continue. They leave A group of them leave
- 16:09on a tour bus to begin the tour. The first day of the tour on the
- 16:12tour bus go in San Francisco. So the the Tesla at that point
- 16:16is actually already in as dirty state as it is in the pictures
- 16:22that we obtained, you know, right when it was towed.
- 16:26So it's it looked like you've been sitting again for a while
- 16:29and it looks like they just made one last move with it before
- 16:32they they set out for this part of the tour.
- 16:35Now as you, as you describe that everyone at home is saying,
- 16:39well, who is they? Do we know who?
- 16:46Day is you know that's something that right yeah, I know who I
- 16:51know who was driving it on that last little you know move that
- 16:56it made to that parking spot there but that's something that
- 16:59I'm not going to disclose yet. I think that would be, you know,
- 17:03stepping on LAP DS toes, which we don't we don't want to do.
- 17:06We we just want to make sure that, you know, some of these
- 17:09things are known and and that, you know that there's justice in
- 17:14this case. Because that statement that they
- 17:16came out with LAPD came out with not too long ago was a little
- 17:19concerning. It made it seem like really
- 17:22culpability of concealment of a body might be the extent of the
- 17:24charges. Of course he is talking about
- 17:29the statement that we just read, the September 29th statement.
- 17:33So what what and, and I just want to get a clearer picture
- 17:36here. The house where this was, would
- 17:40there be a reason for the for the car to not be at the house?
- 17:45Like were they abandoning the house and they were never going
- 17:48to return to the house? Do we know anything about
- 17:51information like that? I don't think that was the plan
- 17:56because they left a lot of stuff behind the house.
- 17:59They did, you know, after this all went down, they moved some
- 18:01of it out, but even then they left a ton behind.
- 18:04So I think it was just, you know, maybe that psychological
- 18:08factor of just a, you know, a little distance gets it a
- 18:11little, you know, further away from, you know, from the house.
- 18:16I, I think it was not a permanent solution, obviously,
- 18:19but I think that they did have a plan down the road.
- 18:22I think it just the towing really upended that that plan.
- 18:26Let me ask you Steve, is is there any indication of what is
- 18:30the last known proof of life of Celeste?
- 18:38So the last that that I have and then I don't know, you know what
- 18:43LAPD has, but there was some media left behind at the house
- 18:46and there's photos from a camera that David was using.
- 18:50And the last photo of Celeste is January 2nd of 2025.
- 18:59Wow, Now without revealing what you found, right, because some
- 19:04things you may not be able to reveal and what you went through
- 19:07in the house, did you find any evidence of criminal behaviour?
- 19:14So, you know, it's not a crime to think about doing certain
- 19:16things, but we found some things that had been delivered to the
- 19:19house that just don't belong there, don't belong in any type
- 19:23of environment like that. And they are things that you
- 19:26could use to get rid of a person if you wanted to.
- 19:30And they're really, you know, people say, oh, it's got to be
- 19:32tools and stuff. It's beyond that.
- 19:34It's, it's, it's really, it's really sadistic stuff.
- 19:38Now, LAPD didn't take it, but they have told us that they
- 19:41photographed it. But again, you know, that's not
- 19:44a crime, just ordering these things, you know, But I think it
- 19:47does. I am so curious what those
- 19:50things are. He called them sadistic.
- 19:53Beyond tools. Beyond just tools.
- 19:57You know, show that there was some intent and you know.
- 20:01Yeah, well, right. It's not illegal to have.
- 20:04OK, so let's just we don't need to watch the rest of it there.
- 20:07That that's the part that I wanted to cover, right?
- 20:10Where it's like he's like, I am concerned.
- 20:12I am concerned that the LAPD really, in that statement from
- 20:17the 29th, really is only worried about the concealment of the
- 20:20body when all this stuff was left behind.
- 20:24That really indicates that they were looking to do something
- 20:28more than that. Right?
- 20:31OK, let me go back to the Men's Journal article here real quick.
- 20:36Let's go back over here. All right, so getting back, so
- 20:41Fisher, the voice that we just heard, the face we just saw who
- 20:45has been investigating the case after he was hired by the owner
- 20:48of the Hollywood Hills home where David was living,
- 20:50explained that the statement suggests that the LAPD still
- 20:55does not have any evidence proving or suggesting that any
- 20:59crime other than the concealment of a body ever took place.
- 21:04LAPD quote, LAPD confirmed KTLA news on November 6th that their
- 21:08prior news release stands on its own.
- 21:11That release stated that no crime other than concealment of
- 21:14a body may have occurred in the Celeste Rivas Hernandez case
- 21:18involving David Fischer wrote in a post on X.
- 21:20We're going to read that entire post, OK.
- 21:23The LA County District Attorney's Office also confirmed
- 21:25that no case has yet been presented to their office for
- 21:29consideration. Statement also neglects to
- 21:33mention another aspect of the case that Fisher thinks is worth
- 21:36investigation. It's worth noting that nowhere
- 21:41in the press release this is a quote from Fisher or in any
- 21:45official statement has there been mention of an investigation
- 21:48into the relationship David had with Celeste.
- 21:51Yes, that could be a difficult case to prove because Celeste is
- 21:54no longer here to testify, but that does not mean it should not
- 21:58be pursued, Fisher added, continuing the quote.
- 22:05Hopefully law enforcement and the DA's office will do their
- 22:08job and take on a case, even if it's challenging.
- 22:11Even if people close to Celeste are unwilling to cooperate
- 22:14because it would expose their knowledge of the illegal
- 22:16relationship, charges should still be filed.
- 22:19We must prove we will protect children from predators.
- 22:24So David Fisher is coming out full and saying, yeah, so
- 22:29David's a predator. He he definitely, I mean, I'm
- 22:33reading between the lines here, but he had a sexual relationship
- 22:38with a 14 year old girl. And from what I can tell, she
- 22:44was 12 when they started their relationship.
- 22:49I don't know if it was sexual back then, but him being an 18
- 22:52year old boy slash man and her being a 12 year old girl not OK
- 22:59with that. And then the article finishes
- 23:02out. David has never been arrested,
- 23:04charged or even named as a suspect.
- 23:06Now let's go over to your comments.
- 23:09Hopefully you guys will remember, even without the GF to
- 23:14put your comments in the OR put AGF in your comment so that I
- 23:19can, so I can read. And then what we're going to do
- 23:22after your comments, we are going to, we're going to read
- 23:27Mr. Fisher's post on X from November 6th.
- 23:30All right, just refreshed. Yeah, Ladybug, I, I can only do
- 23:42the best I can do as far as like making words larger.
- 23:45That's why I'm reading it. But yeah, I will do my best to
- 23:50enlarge that stuff. Cooler by the lake.
- 23:52Gavin. I don't think she was
- 23:53dismembered, but disarticulated due to decomp.
- 23:57There's continued confusion about the matter.
- 23:59Yeah, it's been reported a couple of different ways.
- 24:02I'm not sure either. So when I have said that there's
- 24:06dismemberment, I have said reported.
- 24:08At least. I hope I have done that.
- 24:11Let me go back to my Yeah, I Yeah, like, right here.
- 24:28I mean, let me go to my website. I'll make it bigger.
- 24:33You know, I will, I will report. Like, for example, the timeline
- 24:37September 8th, workers at Hollywood impound lot report an
- 24:40odor from a Tesla. Police open the front trunk and
- 24:43find a bag with reportedly dismembered decomposed human
- 24:46remains. Because we don't know.
- 24:48You're right. We do not know.
- 24:51Thank you for that comment. Great comment.
- 24:56Fire Abbott, says Gavin. I didn't think so in the
- 24:58beginning, but now I'm really feeling like David is being
- 25:00protected by the police. You know, I have said this
- 25:07several times before and, and don't get me wrong because when
- 25:10it comes to corruption, acrimony, apathy, those things
- 25:17piss me off. I hate him.
- 25:20And when it's there, when I, when I feel like it's there, I
- 25:23go after it. And like, take a look at, for
- 25:27example, the Alan Greenberg case, the David Elmquist case,
- 25:31the Amanda Winkowski case. There, there are so many cases
- 25:34that I've covered where corruption I, I, I go after it.
- 25:40But I'm just going to quibble with you because I'm a
- 25:42professional quibbler, not because I necessarily disagree
- 25:45or not because I'm being disagreeable, right?
- 25:50This is respectful. Cops do want to solve crimes.
- 25:59It is in their nature. That is why they do what they
- 26:01do. It's what Drew draw to them.
- 26:05Drew drawn whatever. It's what drew them to the to
- 26:11the the job in the 1st place, the career in the 1st place.
- 26:15Now, of course there could be things that corrupt cops then it
- 26:19probably happens way more often than I'd like to think.
- 26:24But it would take the entire department to try to have to
- 26:28undergo some sort of conspiracy to protect the singer.
- 26:32What it seems like to me, and again, I'm just quibbling for
- 26:38the sake of quibbling, is it's enjoyable to me.
- 26:42What it appears like to me is that the DA is just not ready to
- 26:47charge, doesn't think they have enough to charge, waiting for
- 26:51talks to come back, that that's going to be a couple months
- 26:53before it comes back. That's what it feels like to me.
- 26:57But I certainly understand your perspective.
- 27:01Patty Olsen, my dad was in the Air Force, Korean War Happy
- 27:05veteran's day to your dad, Patty.
- 27:08That's awesome. Yeah.
- 27:12Today on Surviving the Survivor, Steve Fisher did help with the
- 27:15details and and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of
- 27:18that and I'm hoping, hoping to get him on the channel.
- 27:25And Emmy continues. He basically said that Celeste
- 27:28was last seen alive in January. And I think that's what he said
- 27:32in the Vinny Pollitan interview is the last time he has evidence
- 27:36that she was seen alive Was January OK?
- 27:43Hey Mooney thank you so much. Gifting memberships to y'all.
- 27:49Mooney is the best are OG Gavin. Is the Pi Fisher the same Fisher
- 27:58from the Sebastian Rogers case? Well that is a good question.
- 28:02Sebastian Rogers, Pi Fisher. Let's see.
- 28:13Yeah. I mean, it looks like it.
- 28:16Yes. Same guy, same guy.
- 28:20And I, I really don't know his, his his shtick beyond what has
- 28:26been reported in this case. Great question.
- 28:34Oh, Vinnie is asking those excellent lawyerly questions.
- 28:37Yeah, he does a good job, Vinnie.
- 28:39Vinnie does a very good job. So if the police, Tina says so,
- 28:45if the police are saying there was no murder, that must mean
- 28:48they know how she died, right? Either that or they don't know
- 28:53if there's a murder yet and they don't know how she died.
- 28:56Very, very. And those are two pretty
- 28:59different things, but they're they both could be true, right?
- 29:04Fire Rabbit says. Thank you for your respectful
- 29:06quibble. And I understand your points as
- 29:07well. I certainly hope something more
- 29:09comes in this case. Celeste deserves justice, which
- 29:13yes, she does. OK, so let's go over to Mr.
- 29:17Fisher's ex account, shall we? Now, I printed it on to so I
- 29:22could just bring it up in Acrobat and show you guys here.
- 29:27I don't know that I can get that any bigger.
- 29:31That's that's as big as it gets. Hold on, OK, this is from Steve
- 29:40Fisher OK LAPD, this is the whole statement.
- 29:46LAPD confirmed to KTLA News on November 6th, 2025 that their
- 29:52prior news release quote stands on his own its own close quote
- 29:56that really stated that no crime other than concealment of a body
- 30:00may have occurred in the Celeste Rivas Hernandez case involving
- 30:05David. The LA County District
- 30:07Attorney's Office also confirmed that no case has yet been
- 30:10presented to their office for consideration.
- 30:12Ah, so maybe my quibble, my second quibble was wrong.
- 30:17Maybe that maybe the DA's office doesn't know anything about the
- 30:22case yet. I'm sure they do like they in
- 30:25order to get a warrant. I know, I know, that's a judge
- 30:28thing, but they usually work with the prosecutor's office
- 30:31anyway. The DA's office is saying that
- 30:34there has not been a case presented to their office yet.
- 30:37It's worth noting that nowhere in the press release or any
- 30:40official statements has there been mentioned, excuse me, of an
- 30:43investigation into the relationship David had with
- 30:46Celeste. Yes, that could be a difficult
- 30:48case to prove because Celeste is no longer here to testify, but
- 30:52that does not mean it should not be pursued.
- 30:55Hopefully, law enforcement and the DA's office will do their
- 30:59job and take on a case, even if it's challenging.
- 31:03Even if people close to Celeste are unwilling to cooperate
- 31:06because it would expose their knowledge of an illegal
- 31:09relationship, charges should still be filed.
- 31:12We must prove we will protect children from predators, and I
- 31:15applaud Mr. Fisher for that. In a way, it feels like Celeste
- 31:22delivered some sort of justice herself with her final live
- 31:25stream calling out David for what it was.
- 31:28Child R Word Now there have been so many, so many purported
- 31:42pieces of video evidence of David and Celeste together in
- 31:46the last couple of months. I have been apprehensive to go
- 31:51down the path of showing those kinds of videos because I
- 31:58haven't been able to be sure that they actually are David and
- 32:03Celeste. However, with Mr. Fisher saying
- 32:09that her final live stream called out David for her essay.
- 32:16I did find the video. It's 22 seconds long.
- 32:18I have bleeped the R word because of YouTube and other
- 32:23reasons, right? We don't we we want as many
- 32:27people as we can to see these these videos that that I make.
- 32:34And so I'm going to bring it up it again.
- 32:37It's well, it's 23 seconds long. This is the end of what appears
- 32:42to be a live stream with David. He is wearing his hair up and
- 32:47afroed. It's looking glorious wearing AI
- 32:50love hot mom's T-shirt and big glasses.
- 32:53Celeste to to his left appears to be wearing large glasses and
- 33:01a dark hoodie, black with grey writing and and the hood up.
- 33:08So we are going to go ahead and have a listen to this.
- 33:13Let me mute my microphone so it doesn't feedback.
- 33:15Here we go. I media trained you.
- 33:20That's controversial. It's controversial of pink kids.
- 33:30Really good. It's been a good.
- 33:31It's been a good one. Bye, guys.
- 33:35Oh my. Delete everything.
- 33:37Delete, delete everything. Everything goes.
- 33:39Everything goes, everything. So that's the 23 second clip.
- 33:43Now that part where the sound goes out, it goes out in the
- 33:46clip. Let's let's have a watch one
- 33:48more time. I media trained you.
- 33:52That's controversial. It's controversial of being
- 33:55kids. Really good.
- 34:02It's been a good it's been a good one by hi guys.
- 34:05Oh my delete everything, Delete, delete everything.
- 34:10Everything goes. Everything goes, everything.
- 34:14OK, so let's go back to Mr. Fisher's post again.
- 34:20This is from November 6th. Hopefully, law enforcement and
- 34:23the DA's office will do their job and take on a case, even if
- 34:27it's challenging. He's talking about the
- 34:30relationship. In fact, let me back up just a
- 34:32little bit. It's worth noting that nowhere
- 34:35in the press release or in any official statements has there
- 34:38been mention of an investigation into the relationship David had
- 34:41with Celeste. Yes, that could be a difficult
- 34:44case to prove because Celeste is no longer here to testify.
- 34:50Sorry about that guys. But that does not mean it should
- 34:52not be pursued. Hopefully law enforcement and
- 34:54the DA's office will do their job and take on a case, even if
- 34:58it's challenging. Even if people close to Celeste
- 35:02are unwilling to cooperate because it would expose their
- 35:04knowledge of the illegal relationship, charges should.
- 35:09Charges should still be filed. We must prove we'll protect
- 35:13children from predators. And I agree.
- 35:16We must prove we will protect children from predators.
- 35:18In a way, continues Mr. Fisher. It feels like Celeste delivered
- 35:22some form of justice herself with her final live stream
- 35:26calling out David for what it was.
- 35:28Child beep essay. And, yeah, I mean, I I sure hope
- 35:40that the, you know, when we get into this, this statement from
- 35:49the LAPD, it remains unclear whether there's any criminal
- 35:52culpability beyond the concealment of her body.
- 35:55I think that there is criminal culpability beyond that.
- 36:01I really do. All right, Let's see what you
- 36:05guys are saying over here. Here we go, Tina says.
- 36:14Seems pretty crazy that they would make a public statement
- 36:16without all the facts if they didn't know, especially with the
- 36:19following in this case. Yeah, OK.
- 36:25Kell says they maybe want to make sure of their case because
- 36:30once they rest charge, the clock starts ticking.
- 36:33Yeah, they know where he is. He's probably easy to find,
- 36:37though. A person who's been making money
- 36:39so quickly could also disappear pretty easily.
- 36:43Real happy Gavin. I think it's important to
- 36:45remember what can actually be proven in a court of law.
- 36:48Absolutely. Absolutely.
- 36:51So maybe if we quibble with Mr. Fisher a little bit, you know,
- 36:57the, the part of the ethics of being a prosecutor is to only
- 37:03bring cases where they feel they can prove beyond a reasonable
- 37:08doubt the the specifics or the elements of the case.
- 37:16If they can't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt, they should
- 37:19not ethically bring the case to court.
- 37:23And sometimes in the true crime community, you and I, we run up
- 37:27against that where we're like, come on, man, you got to charge
- 37:30this and they just won't charge. And sometimes we go, well, maybe
- 37:35it's the prosecutor is afraid or maybe the prosecutor does, you
- 37:39know, just doesn't have it in them to to take the case all the
- 37:44way to court. Usually what it is, sometimes it
- 37:47is sometimes going to be corruption, sure.
- 37:51But usually what it is is they can't cross that ethical line.
- 37:54They don't think they can bring the case to a win.
- 38:00All right, Fire Rabbit says there's bound to be some kind of
- 38:02evidence of their relationship and their text exchanges.
- 38:06I wonder if they ever found her phone or if they will subpoena
- 38:08her phone records. I I would imagine that there, I
- 38:12imagine there's so much evidence of their relationship, so many
- 38:18friends. I, you know what with those
- 38:20Hollywood parties, it would not surprise me if there are
- 38:24eyewitnesses to the essay of Celeste Rivas.
- 38:29I It wouldn't surprise me at all.
- 38:33Oh, Towley 420 says. I'm guessing they bought a small
- 38:38incinerator. My mind had not gone there.
- 38:42Towley. Wow, maybe let's see best Nancy.
- 38:51Can they charge him with SA if she is no longer alive?
- 38:54I wonder if her not being able to testify as an issue.
- 38:57Charges can definitely be brought on behalf of somebody
- 39:01who is deceased, yes, because because the the crime is against
- 39:15the the people, not I mean, it's definitely against the victim,
- 39:20but the crime is also against the people.
- 39:23And so on behalf of the state of California, the people of
- 39:26California prosecutor can bring that for sure.
- 39:29Melissa said, haven't the LAPD talked to David?
- 39:32Seems like he would turn over his phone willingly.
- 39:36We understand that there were some interviews with David.
- 39:39I do not know. I don't they haven't released
- 39:44what those interviews were. Yeah.
- 39:50Just going to just going to wait a couple more minutes to see if
- 39:56anybody wants any more comments to give me any more comments
- 40:00before we call it a night. TLC Carol says that I should
- 40:07keep my hair like this. It looks great.
- 40:10Well, TLC Carol, I appreciate it.
- 40:13This is a temporary hairdo. I'm telling you, it's driving me
- 40:16crazy. It's.
- 40:17I do not like it at all, but I am.
- 40:22I am trying to accomplish something that I've wanted to do
- 40:25my whole life and and having a reason to do it has helped me to
- 40:29to grow my hair out. I've always wondered what it's
- 40:31like to have long hair. Now I know, now I know that I
- 40:35don't ever want long hair ever again.
- 40:39So funny. Today Kimberly and I were
- 40:41measuring it to see if we could just chop it off.
- 40:43We can't. We're not even close.
- 40:45It'll be like February or March, maybe April before I can I did,
- 40:49I didn't make a mistake. I had it trimmed because there
- 40:52because it was driving me crazy. I had it layered a little bit so
- 40:56that it it wouldn't drive me crazy.
- 41:02And so, So actually in the back, it's only 6 inches long and it
- 41:09needs to be 12. Tina says realistically, how
- 41:13much longer does it need to grow before you can donate it?
- 41:15Yeah, it's like February. I could donate most of it in
- 41:17February. And I think I can donate all of
- 41:19it in April. Real happy.
- 41:24Likes my hair. Well, this is turning in a
- 41:25conversation about my hair. Well, thank you.
- 41:30Thank you. I I will tell you one thing that
- 41:33has come in handy. I always was self-conscious
- 41:36about my pokey ears. Now in my adulthood where I've
- 41:40kind of put on the pounds, my pokey ears haven't been all that
- 41:43pokey. But when I was a kiddo, dude,
- 41:47we're my ears. So I'm here.
- 41:50I have an old photo that I have recently had up.
- 41:53You guys got to see this. I don't know.
- 41:54I don't know if you have to see this.
- 41:56Give me a second. Let me just take a look at it
- 42:01and see if I want to bring it up.
- 42:06Be in this one, I think. Let me see.
- 42:17Yeah. OK, so let me break this up.
- 42:22Dang it. I was always so self-conscious.
- 42:25Let me zoom in here, zoom in a little bit more.
- 42:34OK, so I'm like 17 years old in this picture.
- 42:39OK, So be kind right here, OK? I was always very, very
- 42:49self-conscious about what I thought were really, really
- 42:53pokey ears. I was so self-conscious about
- 42:57it. But now that I am older, at
- 43:00least I have something that I can put my put my hair behind.
- 43:09It's funny. Too funny.
- 43:12OK, Robin, says Gavin, you'll have to go full tennis ball
- 43:18haircut in order to have anything close to that's funny.
- 43:23That's funny. I did have excellent hearing as
- 43:27a child, Robin, unfortunately for me, unfortunately for me, I
- 43:35I spent a lot of time listening to very, very, very loud music
- 43:40and I've got so much tinnitus. I think my hearing is fine, but
- 43:44the tinnitus is like overwhelming.
- 43:47So people have to speak up around me.
- 43:50That's funny, Kell says. My little brother hated his ears
- 43:55so much he super clued them back when he was a kid.
- 43:57Wow, Dandelion calling me, calling me smoking hot, calling
- 44:06me. Well, I yeah, yeah, I was a good
- 44:11looking 90s baby right there. Yeah, I was a good looking kid.
- 44:16I think. I think I was.
- 44:17I didn't have enough confidence. I didn't have enough confidence
- 44:22looking back on it. I mean, look at that jaw.
- 44:26Look at the swell cleft in my chin.
- 44:28Oh, you can't really see it there because I'm smiling.
- 44:30But I've I've got an awesome, I've got an awesome chin, or at
- 44:34least I did when I was when I was a teenager.
- 44:37That's so funny. Best Nancy says that she loves
- 44:40the photo. And those are normal ears.
- 44:43Well, yeah, they look OK. They look OK.
- 44:45Just at the time I was very self-conscious about it.
- 44:51And Robin says I looked very wholesome in that picture.
- 44:53Well, in that picture, I was preparing to go to the wedding
- 44:59of my friend, my now late friend, Ingrid.
- 45:02And, and I think I was seated. Well, I know that I was.
- 45:08I remember that moment very well.
- 45:09I was seated at the kitchen table or the dining room table
- 45:18at at Julie's house writing a card for Ingrid.
- 45:23And Julie had told me, write anything but Beth, best wishes.
- 45:27I think she called it gauche. Don't write best wishes.
- 45:30It's so gauche. And so I had to think and think
- 45:33and think and finally wrote out something that I thought she was
- 45:37going to sign along with me. And then I handed her the pen
- 45:40and she wrote Best wishes. Julie.
- 45:46I love that memory so much. Oh, she had me wrapped around
- 45:51her little finger, Patty Olsen says.
- 45:54I've grown into my nose and ears.
- 45:56Yeah, yeah, yeah, it could be worse.
- 46:01You're right. That is so funny.
- 46:07Let's see, Half Nelson says. I was in Japan for three weeks
- 46:12recently and got to watch your lives periodically.
- 46:14I missed my regular stream so much, but I was there to meet my
- 46:18first grandchild. Well, great.
- 46:20Good. Anya in Japan to meet your first
- 46:23grandchild. Congratulations.
- 46:25Mazel tov. I am patiently.
- 46:29It's going to be a while. Patiently awaiting
- 46:32grandchildren. I'm so looking forward to it.
- 46:37Oh my goodness, That was. That was so funny thinking about
- 46:41that. Yeah.
- 46:41Where were you in Japan? Japan is the only place I have
- 46:44travelled all over the world. Japan's the only place that I
- 46:48just, I just feel like I'm on another planet.
- 46:52And it's not like I spend tons of time in Japan either.
- 46:55I've been there maybe 456 times, something like that and I just I
- 46:59never fit in. But yes, thank you.
- 47:04Thank you very much guys. That was a fun little ending to
- 47:07our to our show tonight. I'm thinking about doing
- 47:11segments in the show, like regular segments so that, you
- 47:15know, we can do some personal stuff every once in a while.
- 47:17She's in Okinawa. Okinawa.
- 47:21I've never been to Okinawa. I've only ever been to Tokyo.
- 47:25That's, that's all I've ever visited in Japan.
- 47:30But but I've had some terrific, I've had some terrific times
- 47:34there. Let's see, we got a little time.
- 47:35Let me tell you one little 1 little experience.
- 47:38I've told this story so many times, but I had I had one
- 47:42experience in Japan. It was the first time that I was
- 47:47staying there. I wasn't just transiting
- 47:49through. I was staying there, I think
- 47:55because I was going to the Tokyo Audio Show and well, I know it
- 48:02was an audio show, I just can't remember the name of it.
- 48:05I think it was the Tokyo Audio Show and I had purposefully
- 48:08gotten a hotel near the venue, but I didn't know how near.
- 48:15I didn't know how far right. And the bus from the airport
- 48:21pretty much took me within a block of my hotel.
- 48:25So I didn't know really where I was.
- 48:29So I settle in, I do my, I do my jet lag day.
- 48:34I did it all in the hotel. I really wasn't feeling that
- 48:37well in the hotel room. I, I could touch all four walls
- 48:43on my bed like and and it was a nice hotel room.
- 48:47Just things are very small there, right?
- 48:50So I'm in this tiny hotel room. I do my jet lag day.
- 48:53I I remember watching Tom Selleck movies and soaking in
- 48:58the most amazing tub. Oh my God, it doesn't matter.
- 49:01Anyway, next morning I'm going to the audio show and I go out
- 49:07outside and I see a cab stand. Well, first what I did was I'm
- 49:13like, you know what I should probably take, I should take the
- 49:16subway. I've been, I've been in a subway
- 49:20on 4 continents, right? I, I should be able to get this
- 49:23done. Now, my brother, for the same
- 49:27reason that I lived in Argentina, my brother lived in
- 49:29Japan, and I was talking to him, right?
- 49:32So he's like, yeah, it's it's really not that big of a deal.
- 49:34Just go down. So I go down into the subway and
- 49:37I'm looking at things and I'm going, I have no idea.
- 49:40I have no idea. And looking at my watch, OK, I
- 49:44got to get to the show. This is just too hard.
- 49:46So I go back out. I never went through a gate,
- 49:49like a turnstile. I just went to the ticket booth
- 49:51and I was like, so I walk back up the stairs to St.
- 49:56Level and there's a cab stand. I went, you know what?
- 49:59I've got a card, like a business card for the venue.
- 50:03I can't speak Japanese, but I can hand him the card.
- 50:08So I walk up to the cab. There are these Toyota, they're
- 50:13called Crowns. I think it's just called the
- 50:15Toyota Crown. The door automatically opens.
- 50:19I sit in the back on what would be our driver's side, but it's
- 50:24their passenger side. And I hand up the card to the
- 50:28driver. He looks at it and he looks back
- 50:30at me strangely. And he speaks to me in Japanese.
- 50:33And I'm like, I, I, I don't know, can you take me there?
- 50:39You know, I'm one of those guys, man.
- 50:42It'd be so much easier now with all the AI tools and everything.
- 50:46But anyway, he finally he he's like closes the door, puts the
- 50:54car in gear, moves the car forward.
- 50:58Kid you not, he didn't even like go out into traffic.
- 51:01He just moved the car like 50 feet forward.
- 51:05He puts down his flag. He tells me how much I owe him
