- speaker-0: today's date, people drink tea after How much impact the body? And secondly, what sweets should we an stomach? speaker-1: No. No. A big no. That is the clear understanding. You can never complete the requirements that the supplements can do via food. speaker-0: One health myth that should be illegal. speaker-1: People get scared of supplement that has to stop. speaker-0: One food people blame for weight gain but is actually innocent. There very classic proverb, early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. But honestly, doesn't work I did night shift in And I didn't even know when I would up when the cab would when I would go, when I would to night shift and an obnoxious cycle. And don't even ask And most of us believe success comes from working harder, pushing longer and sacrificing a little sleep along the way. But what if there are habits which we celebrate quietly, where we can focus on our energy, can focus our own focus, hormones productivity good or our long term health is good. So guys, welcome back to the Collaborative Canvas and today we have such person A beautiful woman who has nutrition to life of If you think this conversation is not worthwhile, then you have to listen to one more time. Because every conversation adds a completely new perspective to the canvas of our life and business. Hi again, I am Ankesh Akhsena and today we are exploring a topic that touches almost every working professional. So please welcome Suvidhi. Suvidhi is a full-time nutritionist and apparently when I also felt that I not I first talked about what to how can I make a relationship with my sleep first of all. And now I will decode that you secrets here and Suvidhi will actually decode So welcome Suvidhi. speaker-1: Thank you for welcoming me. speaker-0: So Suvidhi, I have I am sure a lot many things have been missed here. Please yourself. speaker-1: Yes. So hi, I'm Suvidhi. I am a clinical nutritionist in practice. I've done my MSc from University of Nottingham, which is in England. I have been in the field for a good seven, eight years now. I'm also somebody who's obsessed with eating desserts. So if you actually ask me that I'm a nutritionist who eats dessert and obsessed with it, it's not a right combination, but maybe today we'll figure out how everything can be right and wrong around health. I also deal with and what my passion lies is around a lot of women who are struggling with their health and the youngsters who are getting into the complication of health. So, main objective had to oversimplify it for them. So, to break my technical understanding into easy understandable languages for the youngsters, for the females and yeah for the males as well. speaker-0: Of course, which is why I was in the conversations and that's how we actually got to know each other. basically something which I always fascinated about you is that you have studied in the UK, I guess, right? There is systematic culture of eating your food, know, early to rise and then have a good breakfast. Here, that system is So, you to India and practicing, what challenges are and what difference do you the two cultures? speaker-1: So yes, if we understand that people are rising up early, they have massive availability of cleaner label of foods. So if I, like you said in the beginning, I don't know when to up, when I to cabs, even if I am in a very busy routine, I have clean food to eat from the outside. Even we are doing that, there is less availability in speaker-0: No, availability is Chole Pature, speaker-1: Yeah, that so if we talk about clean, that food clean? Is the health perspective? So you will not see healthy foods or healthy joints which are they very promising and not available also because of the demand that we Correct. And then second I also feel that one thing that there is not good but here is, if we scientifically, there people start their day with something that is sweeter on the palate. But here we start with something that is savoury, which it has little salt. That better for the approach that you diabetes later, next week. But we are running here and there, we are not planning our day. Availability here and there could be an issue. So a contrast. There are some good there, here some good But if I better way, little strategy, mindfulness, conscious eating should So you have help in too. You have better resources too. Here we can take better care of him. speaker-0: So, there are two things is to eat sweets in or dessert, and to savoury food. And second is to eat The biggest thing which we see as Indians is that what do do We There very few such I remember my father used to drink water first before having something else. And my grandma used to have tea with at least four biscuits. Today, people drink tea speaker-1: Conscious eating, Yeah. speaker-0: or let's say, coffee. How much impact the body? And secondly, what do we when And the third is, what sweets as a token of the group that we are actually having here, we are going we two biscuits Which is good? I mean, to start a day, what would you recommend first of all? speaker-1: To start the day, think in each family we would have seen the right way. In Indian families, we have a very small kitchen garden. We tea leaves there. We lemon grass or any grass you are growing which is helping you, mint leaves, coriander leaves etc. Because we come from land where Ayurveda has emerged, so we know what is the right thing. Are we practicing it as second question? Right thing is when you have slept for very long and when sleep, let's understand body also as a robot, as a machine. You are not plugging in charge. So when you are now ready to use it, you will not put your phone in water that the system will hanged. So if you tea, your system hanged. That is the clear understanding. Somewhere we lost that thin line of having a bed tea because it looked fancy, maybe somewhere in the TV or something. speaker-0: It psychological impact too, If we drink tea we a little energetic. speaker-1: Yes, this is called the Shraddhik benefit. I remember Vajpayee ji's one poem that we the drops that give us the shuddering happiness. So if you running behind something that you shuddering happiness, momentary happiness, then keep on doing it. You will have the repercussions of it in the long term. But giving your body something that it has not taken for 7-8 hours, water, 70 % water. Easiest thing is when we start our schooling, I think second or third, maybe kids nowadays they are reading it much faster, that 70 % of the body is water. So first allow some water. Your blood pressure was very low when you were in comparison to when you are working. Your body's temperature was also dipping down. That's we cold, we a blanket. That's why there will be blanket or which we take, AC, So your body, allow it to first feel fresh, get awakened and then put something which adds value. So it's difficult to 4 almonds and 1 walnut. Also, dependency is more because it's like a neurotransmitter. It's just making you feel better. Is it adding value? And if you feel that you acidity, bloating, now if this question, That means it has bothered you. If you are asking this question to yourself, whether it is in your mind or in your phone, it is somewhere bothering the big population. speaker-0: But what is that biggest problem in that case? Or chai or anything? mean, you wake up Because there will another question but what is that biggest problem in India right now? speaker-1: Which I... Right, so when you are taking tea, it is hot, a little acidic in nature, it a acidity but the problem doesn't stop there. Why it is a be something else that acidic in nature. Tea is a problem because it neurotransmitter. After your tendency can that you forget that a long time. I have Indian households, they say, I woke up. I two biscuits, now glucose has also gone. Neurotransmitter with glucose. is Now you will on stored energy You the energy like reserve petrol in the car. What will you feel at 12? What will you feel after rest of the day? And that is why slowly gradually the biggest challenge is that we can't Why? Start of the day is the problem. In yourself neurotransmitter, yourself so early. Slowly you have to rise, slowly you have to come to work. Allow yourself 30-40 minutes of time to get back into the pace. You can't start running when you have just woken up or you can't go and do the gym or something. So the only problem with chai is that neurotransmitter. Coffee is neurotransmitter. It activates We activation energy. ⁓ that time not allow and you forget it without knowing that I will But when you look back at few years where you were taking tea, you will not remember, you will not feel hungry. speaker-0: But there is always a constant war between tea lovers and coffee lovers. People say that coffee and lot energy. The tea lover also says that two cups coffee and then energy. So I think that's more of a psychological impact that you know once you wake up, course, know wake up slow, steady, have a cup of tea and then back to work. This has a mindset now. What to break speaker-1: The way is slowly. First, have some nuts. I see today, predominantly nuts are soaked. But something is biscuit. Something from the wrapper. Discard Let's this step one. Step two, what we have or not soaked, if any almond, pistachio, cashew for that matter. Start with nuts and have water. Wait for 5 minutes, 10 minutes. If you are very much used to having tea, then you take your tea. Don't have the biscuit. Now, if you ready to go to the second step, your second step becomes have your nuts, have your water, wait for 40 more minutes, 50 more minutes, get ready, have your breakfast, tea with Have coffee Zero problems here we will talk about. speaker-0: Basically, bloating, then it Biscuit is definitely not a helpful solution. No. Okay. more the second question was that a lot many people actually work in the night. It's trend. I worked in the night between 2005 to 2012. After I didn't the courage to shift But I see a lot of people actually work in the night. Apparently, I've seen people who leave at say 6 in the morning. They go first and they consume That I good sleep. Is it also good or bad? I mean, it couldn't For me, it is almost bad. I can't have alcohol right in the morning at 5 am. When the sun is and I feel what doing? I mean, think that for me was more of a psychological thing. I can't drink alcohol. But I am asking from a nutritionist that people actually have become prone to that one peg should because it is night speaker-1: What do you think? Yeah, yeah. speaker-0: What do you think? Is it good, bad? And then when they wake up, what will you about the routine? Because that very difficult. speaker-1: So see, first of all, if you ask as a nutritionist, alcohol anywhere at any place is problematic. But I also understand people who might, let's understand their psychology. Ki ho kya raha hai, wo ghar mein aare hain, dhoop dikh rahi hai, unhospitable environment to sleep hai, toh kya main aur against the circadian rhythm mein kaam kar raha hu. Toh why do I need alcohol? is maybe to put me to sleep and in a rested mind. Can that be done in any other way? By any other measures? It could be. Maybe. Have you tried? No. You just find a solution to the problem but that solution slowly becomes your problem. Yeah. So jo. Yes, exactly. Because you are tired. Yeah. speaker-0: Already, it's barely happened. I remember when I used to come down at 7 am, I used the driver to first we'll chhole bhature, if we full, we'll And then he and I was not married, so he gave an option, I food. He came ate and for think that chhole bhature was also not right. speaker-1: Right, right. So again, ⁓ if we understand why people are working in night shift, higher pay, lesser stability, chaos and etc. So, in night shift, generally, will see? The youngsters. Because you are getting more monetary benefits there, CAF facilities, you saving something here and there. So, if you ask me the question that I night shift, I am like, night shift we can't discuss. I am sorry. that was not made. Are you planning to do it for your whole life? Are you planning to do it for five years, eight years? Even if you do it for two or three years, imbalance in the life will for a longer period of time. But still, for the people who are working, what is the best solution? Work as much closely possible to the people in sync with the morning shift. That means, you have back after now Why you confused You back, you wanted You want sleep Why are you eating also? So maybe eat at the convenience of your office or in the cab. Have a solution to it. When you come back and you have eaten, then you for two more hours to digest That is not possible. You are already tired. So if you come at 6 or 7 or 8 in the morning, you sleep and when you wake up, When people are doing their lunch, you are doing your breakfast. Don't confuse that their lunch and my lunch will now. You have to work in sync with them but plan your day. That becomes your breakfast. In the night, because obviously you have to work for the larger period of time, that becomes your heaviest meal in the night. There some implications for This is not the best one. But this type of work, the night shift is obviously not the best one. There repercussions for Again, to the circadian rhythm You You You Only one chapter like a lot of people ask me that, but the biggest thing is the calorie deficit. If I less calories, that is one of the chapter of one of the unit that we were taught initially in dietetics and nutrition. So for us also to explain and over explain becomes difficult at some times. Calorie deficit, when it work, when will it not work is also one concept. But night shift, the heaviest meal at night. Whatever is your time to eat the meal. Yes. So just not having a focal point of confusion will clear you out. speaker-0: What kind of food habits they should have in that case? ⁓ speaker-1: See, the people who are going to their work, in the lunch they are eating all kind of things. Dal, rice, chhole, roti, whatever. They have to eat what fills their stomach and allows them the capacity in the brain to work and perform. When you are sitting, it's not that your body is not using the energy. We are talking, body movement, blood circulation. Your digestive system, respiratory system, cardiovascular system, it is working. Now when your brain is also working it is using energy, without energy it will not. To aap khao jo aapko peyt bhark ke khana khana hai, one time in the night without thinking about the calories. That will break it. speaker-0: I ⁓ am sure you many ⁓ clients and patients and there patients like in today's times. And considering that people are actually moving towards more ⁓ better dietary approach that I shift or I very exhaustive ⁓ work, so my body should fuel it Sometimes, you very bad case and then you realize that you to more effectively and then you to give him a solution. You have to your habits. speaker-1: So, ⁓ this is a very personal case. Obviously, the person who will watch this, she will know that I am talking about her. Very personal case. So, this female was, she is an aged female. When she was in her later thirties, she got into menopause, jo ki jaldi hua. Then she went into steroids. Then she had few other health complications. She was gaining the weight although before until her 35-38 her weight was less. Her body was but gradually complications came so nobody thought about the changes in the body of a female. That might happen with menopause and everything. Then steroids because she had slipped disc and etc. Did not know that her weight. And when you know the case closer or in brief you understand that what is In every case now we want oversimplification of everything. We want to healthy, that my weight loss is I healthy. That my weight should I healthy. So now she was increasing her weight and then she is also a cancer survivor. She got a ⁓ breast tumor. So she survived but again the medication is there. So now that she has gained weight but she has been brainwashed into ears that by losing everything will She eats very little. She eats extremely little food. And now if such cases come to us where the person is eating little food, has been brainwashed for 10, 15, 20 years that by eating she loses That is also the oversimplification leading her into this knowledge. So when as practitioners we tell them that you will 10 times to reduce the weight, they will just not understand it. it is but also it will change when the other 20-25 people are you the way. Losing weight is not the right approach. speaker-0: It's speaker-1: everywhere oversimplification of the routine of the diet or understanding that I can be into an AI driven world where I can just type, hey I want to reduce my weight, what are the five things I want to do. We have given so many years into reading to understand the complexity of it in Homo sapiens, in the humans. So, it's Yes, maybe AI helps you to some extent, but oversimplification doesn't. Right information is very important and this case somebody is very close to me has struggled with it, I just feel this was the case where I have not been able to help her till date. Maybe she looks at this and she knows what I am trying to speaker-0: So, since you brought up this menopause real example, there are a lot of ladies who actually have PCODs and PCOS. What would you recommend? Because, at what point of time they should know that have this, what kind of symptoms are there, which will make that it is diagnosed or they to After what kind of dietary and nutritional can they What would you recommend? What are those phases? speaker-1: Okay, so the good thing is that name of PCOS was very misleading. It was polycystic ovarian syndrome. our approach as practitioners and there a general approach that we cater. Our general approach was that we cysts in ovaries because the is the so our approach is also the same. Now the name has changed to PMOS. Polyendocrine Metabolic ovarian syndrome. So now why it has changed after many years it has changed. Now what we take of is endocrine problem can cause your mood swing in a certain age in adolescence. So tapping that the child is PCOS or PMOS is very difficult. So one step I always like talking in steps because I come from research background. step one is the Parents, mother and father have to be very vigilant about the changes in the female's body, mood, irritability, the mood swing. And I say parents, not only mother because my father is a doctor. So when I menstruated, I got the guidance from him that made my life easy. I was never told that should not talk I should talk to Both the parents. Today I also feel everybody is getting into the zone of more clarity. So parents should know that if the female is menstruating or There mood swing. At a certain age they get a lot of acne. So maybe talking to the Dermat. So this is for the youngsters. Now if we come into different direction for the females who are, who have been menstruating for 5, 8 years, 10 years, 12 years into their later 20s, early 30s. This is also age group where PCOS or PMOS now. There the females, one. Yes, ultrasound you have to get but also get few things which is checking your glucose, your insulin levels into the body. you always have a gynecologist, you always have a nutritionist, there are few tests like HOMA IR etc. advanced test but the right thing is awareness. Only that is not your PCOS or PMOS. you gaining a lot of weight. Suddenly you have been keeping really anxious for like 6-8 months. You have to be aware and you have to just figure out what are my best resources, what are my tests. So few tests like insulin sensitivity, glucose test, HbA1c test is helpful. Because endocrine problem is so maybe your TSH, T3, T4. that you want a whole thyroid profile, always in conversation with your gynae or with your clinical nutritionist. And I feel the background check of nutritionist should be done more than ever because we get a lot of cases where the problem is very haywire. ⁓ So, in my opinion, like you do background check of your doctors, who is the best doctor in the this and that and what have they done. In the similar manner, you should do it for the nutritionist as well and get, don't self assume, don't self tap, don't think ki arey nahi yeh prompt se sayi ho jayega. Just take some help, pay some bucks and get your query solved because it is a more complicated problem also in all the girls. speaker-0: Smita, more considering that all these tests that you mentioned, I remember there was also a case where one of the patients was considering Ayurveda at one point in time, homeopathy, then reached out to finally allopathy and she was not getting any kind of relaxation there. Eventually she has landed to allopathy. Now, allopathy doctor says to everything. Homeopathic says that you don't want to drink in or want to alcohol consumption. Or Ayurveda says that you should Is this a myth or is it being shown that our product should or like I don't understand why people say so. speaker-1: So, ⁓ if because I come from family of doctors and I have doctors in different, in allopathy, in homeopathy and etc. What I understand and what we all have understood is allopathy is the strongest medical solution to your problems. If there is a problem, if you are prone to a disease, and not merely absence of disease, you just have a symptom. Are you running to the solution? How quickly you are running to the solution has to be taken care of. that's people have lot of chaos that allopathy is always there, allopathy has side effects. Yes, it But the cure will the same For a heart attack, are not going to go to Ayurveda or homeopathy. So yes, by that we know that it is the strongest form. When we talk about homeopathy, or Ayurveda, they are more in alliance with how your lifestyle is, how you look and in a pragmatic view if we have to understand that I things. If I just laugh sometimes, if somebody is taking an Ayurvedic treatment comes to me and says that I eat curd at you me curd also. It's like okay, no problem, we will remove speaker-0: Kheer, curd, are still speaker-1: So my next question to them becomes, but what on Friday night? I went I came back at 12. If your life is not in sync with Ayurveda, like our life would been like my grandfather would have done it, my grandfather would have done it 50 years ago, are you able to that? If not able to then do something that is absolutely sustainable. And holistic things are sustainable. No allopathy, no homeopathy, no Ayurveda, no nutrition, all of them together made for you in your own way. So if you ask me what is the strongest viewpoint, kya mujhe iska dikhat hoga, ya uska dikhat hoga, nahi. Abhi amara style of life change ho gaya hai. Toh aapko benefit wo karega agar aap, I see a lot, I meet a lot of females in my gym or in my different classes where they wake up at 4.30 even today and I look at them and I get inspired. If 4.30 you are waking up, you coming to the gym, you have very good abs and etc. Am I doing that? No. So will I get benefited from what they are doing? No. So allopathy is also good. Homeopathy is good. People who are going for different approach that I will get solution from allopathy has given solution to maximum problems. Is that same for homeopathy or Ayurveda? speaker-0: Allopathy takes a lot of time and Ayurvedic has their own implications to it. I think the other reason why allopathy is because you rightly mentioned it's more stronger than nature so you really need to eat almost everything to have your dietary in position. So I think that's another reason. Another thing since you mentioned about you our style of living has also changed. Now you've seen how people used live in UK. They a routine. I first, but I remembered it when you talked Whenever I go out, there's always a routine that I follow. When you Rome act like a Roman. So, if I'm eating a non-vegetarian item along with my friends in the US and then I go along with them to some place and we to sleep, nothing happens. And that disorder in India is like very severe. You you eat a lot, but you then drink a lot, makes sense. But you drink a lot and then you eat less is also a problem. overall ⁓ style of living, how person follow his nutrition? They cannot copy. You said that by I any benefit, so I have to follow my own regime. So, what regime would you recommend in this case? ⁓ They cannot copy the entire western culture although what is happening in is eating habits. our ancient scriptures used that when you up, the at 4.30, people actually do that. They go out, they walk, they eat healthy foods, they have left drinking and smoking. But today's generation is already exhausted. They night shift, they Friday the way you just mentioned. What would you say that their regime should this case? Again. speaker-1: Yeah, again, let's break it down to make it easiest for the people. So we have four weekends If you are ready to make it ⁓ 1 is to 3 then we can talk about are we ready to think about the health? So if you three weekends as you one weekend maybe have a don't sit at home or etc. Maybe have a health change because I live in Delhi NCR we have a lot of marathons. Now different people are doing different things like running here, doing some health there, some pickleball, playing badminton, somewhere your gym there some competition. A lot of things are happening but one you have to be willing. Second you have to find that out. It's very easy to find that out really in Delhi NCR because you concerts. speaker-0: Exactly. speaker-1: So maybe the first agenda should be give your time for evaluation. You have four weekends. One weekend you pick up from around your ears and give that to your health. Do something in the health segment. Observe how the changes are coming into your body or does it do any mental change. Exhaustion hoga par exhaustion aapko aise bhi ho raha hai. So one here. Then second. starting to take few supplements for health is very important. speaker-0: That's a good point. Which age should to supplements? ⁓ speaker-1: There is no need because if we talk about calcium and iron supplement not a medicine we have been taking that from the time we were kids. But yes, the diversified supplement after 18 as per the requirements you can take it. But if I take any supplement and eat it, then you 20-22 years. Because PCOS, as we discussed, the cases, those girls are also inositol in maximum cases. So we do that 18-19. speaker-0: The supplement system has because we are not able to complete our dietary requirements through the food or the itself infected. Our fooding habits have which is why we have to cover up ourselves with these supplement medicines. speaker-1: mixture of everything. One, you can never complete the requirements that the supplements can do via food. D3, B12 are trace elements, you can't do it. We did an Instagram a few days ago where we were talking about magnesium. You won't know how magnesium is in your serum, in your blood test because that does not stay in the blood. So, as we move on with the researches over the years, we will figure out which is mineral or vitamin, was it, how to find ⁓ But when I talk about many many supplements, what is my focal understanding is one age group which start taking any supplement in the market. Again, not self-assumed, not self-directed. no, it is available, easily available. Not take those because speaker-0: in the next class. Hey, so you're saying you should not take those. speaker-1: I am telling you that you should be aware. Otherwise taking supplement is easy job. Just go to a website, place an order, start taking it because you heard it. what is requirement Who is supplement? You know. Otherwise you are just making a very expensive excreta. So we don't need that. One, always get it prescribed or be well informed by the practitioners. By practitioners I mean the doctors, people in fitness, your physiotherapist or anybody. right not a chemist ki le loon kya, no not that. Then second the right way to move for the cases you asked ki people who are always going out for night shifts or people who are having a Friday night they are feeling the exhaustion and etc. Some kind of antioxidant they should have if they can get their hands on on a antioxidant but In these cases, I generally see that yourself from People generally are very scared that they will get something out If it was acne, you are seeing it on the mirror and you getting scared. Just because you have skin over everything in your body, you not able to your problem. That's you feel that you will wait. The things are the body, have it on the ease of your hand in the reports. There, the biggest deficiency which is causing the loss of appetite or increase of appetite or a lot of exhaustion is one the less amount of D3 and B12 which we see generally overall. In females we see that there is less hemoglobin so maybe having an iron etc is good and then few more things here and there can be taken. If you're somebody who's working out, travels a long distance and you are also sometimes I see people in job also preparing for something else. or for the youngsters preparing for an exam. Having a magnesium complex helps. So ⁓ glycinate, citrate and everything will help. Second is ⁓ if you are still feeling exhausted after doing the test, taking ⁓ few of the calcium and iron and magnesium, the second step is always to evaluate your protein and the fibre with But protein intake. predominantly because we are living in India, every time you go outside you are missing it out. So, kuch aisa easy kar lo apne life mein that you don't have to always think about health, health, health that is not your speaker-0: I think when we awareness, when we get to know what is missing, something which you know of course when we consult a doctor only then we get to know that B3 is or B11 is we only get to know that. There are multi-vitamins which are available and people simply go over the counter and buy that and they eat it. As a nutritionist, do you agree that they should do speaker-1: Multivitamins are just a mixture of many vitamins put together in a capsulated form and given to you. But will my problem be It's difficult When I have resources, availability and now the prices are so expensive. Maybe your one outing removed from there can be put into test, same amount of money. So if you are ready to shift that thought, shift that mindset, then a test. You will have more awareness. Awareness starts from here. And then planning for yourself. B12, D3, calcium, iron, we taken it. Bicosul, have also heard. Limsi, we have heard. Covid has us this So the came You should also that you will start taking supplements. Zincovit, Limsi. speaker-0: Maybe giddy speaker-1: so many people have why? Because you were making your immune strong that time. But right now if you have to have a just a healthy, a flowy, an energetic lifestyle and you are not 60 yet, then looking at yourself is important. Otherwise stop looking at yourself in the mirror also every morning. speaker-0: So basically the health, show and routine ⁓ that technically people don't it. They simply live life it is. What the 10 years? speaker-1: So I best believe in this although we awareness but today if we talk India is having such an increase in the diabetes that it has become the second largest capital with people in diabetes. The PCOS which is now PMOS, you the cases, compare it to the last two decades, the cases have risen. the metabolic problem have risen. Although the solutions are there in various forms, we now have ⁓ something which is Ozempic or Monjaro, people are using it. But as I said earlier in my conversation, over simplification of everything, you just want to hack, you don't want to change, you don't want to put in effort, but you want to be healthy. That is a dreamy picture to paint. We are not in a Disneyland. And here, or we a movie about setting, that everything will be la la la la la and everything is fixed. No, that's not going to happen. speaker-0: So you're that the in Camel Festival, according basically we don't any power left. speaker-1: No, no, a big no. are women who have tug of war If you look at that video, were females who were having a lot of strength and pots and carrying them. But see, I am talking to you. I can also say... is in modulation of my voice. I know my voice can change into many directions. Modul, learning. Strength hai, but kya aap learn kar rahe ho. Those females are also by the chance of it or etc. They have the privilege of training themselves. Humare hain jaise desi akhada bhi chalta hai. But the females there, unke paas muscle bhi hai, strength bhi hai, paani bhi lekh chari hai, ghar ke kaam bhi kari hai. But were they trained enough? No. So the muscle might have been there. The training might not have been there. speaker-0: If we want we some women. Go and speaker-1: No, but if we something different, we water out we would have won. Because that is what we have done for a very long period of time. So what have you told your CNS, your body and what have you won actually? This the part of Strength can be there, strength is but that tug of war we could have won it. speaker-0: So I got a one word questions. Let's see how much you have trained One health myth that should be... speaker-1: Okay, yeah. I wouldn't say myth, but I would say that people get scared of supplement that has to stop. speaker-0: One food people blame for weight gain but is actually innocent. speaker-1: Mango. Mango. Yeah, it's very, I had mango today morning. I fond of mangoes. speaker-0: One food people think is healthy but secretly overeating. speaker-1: Makhana and peanuts. speaker-0: If you could ban one nutrition trend forever, wo kya hoga? speaker-1: Can I ban like more than one? yeah. Of course, go ahead. If it has to be one, I would stop banning ⁓ Keto, Intermittent, OMAD for everybody and anybody. It has come in play for people who require it. But now people have taken that into weight trend. That should not be done. speaker-0: and the most dramatic client excuse ever heard. speaker-1: Actually, we business families. Our outings are at There are 3-4 I'll give you. Second. You know, I just wanted to go out. I didn't have a lot. I just went into Starbucks and had one coffee. So that's not my cheat day, right? And... Yeah, one more. So yesterday I had very heavy food in the night. So today I have not had my breakfast and that will not cause my weight increase. speaker-0: Starbucks or those big cafes, I love the coffee of course and I love the eateries that they have. But considering that we our dietary plan properly, do you think that sugar, maida and other that that's good for our health either? speaker-1: No, but then they also have things that will not compromise. speaker-0: But those are on the Instagram pictures. They blab about it. They brag about it. speaker-1: Yeah, I am pretty sure they are very very young kids, students. Even their metabolic rate would be much much faster because they have kept it like that. also, generally, least when I was in my college. So we through 5-6 rounds But it depends on who is and how much he If you ask me... no questions asked, nahi hai healthy, over and out. But once in a while, yeah, I go to UK and I love having the croissant from the same place I used to have, my coffee is from the same place I used to have, my bisque of biscuits from the same place. So yes, but kitna kidhar percentage move kar raha hai? No, right. speaker-0: Once in a while it works. And that's exactly what you need to know. So it doesn't become a cheat book for you. You know exactly how you're doing. And one ⁓ supplement that deserves more attention. speaker-1: I think in the coming time it will be NAD, NMN which will be coming slowly and gradually to India but till now magnesium has it but in the coming two or three years I think NMN will be that. speaker-0: And are you seeing it on a very constant basis when patients come to you, you feel that magnesium is low? speaker-1: We can never find out that the magnesium is low, it's just through the conversations that we'll know if the magnesium is low. speaker-0: And to end the rapid fire, one quick question. What is the quickest way to annoy a nutritionist? speaker-1: Actually there are many, I'll also have to figure out. But yeah, just telling that you sugar I do it. I like my coffee sweet and my desert sweet. speaker-0: Yeah, I true. Whenever I take a coffee, generally prefer sugar. I can't drink without a sugar. speaker-1: Yeah, sugar is the basis of humankind because we were born and we started drinking milk which is sweet. weren't drinking So, maximum of us will have sweet palate. speaker-0: So before we wrap up this conversation, again, ⁓ one thing which came to my mind is that when I used to go out, I used to see a lot of vegan sheds. That I this vegan foodie this. And this thought was never in India before. I lactose intolerance a long time ago. That it is because we drinking milk. Now point is that ⁓ when a baby is born, he or she survived on mother's milk. for a longer period of time. But at certain point of time, a normal food and it nutrition it So how the vegan concept start? And coming does it vegan or things change? speaker-1: Right, so to understand this we have to understand many things all at once. One is your demography, availability, your last hundred years and many follow-up questions. So we will go one by one. Pehla ki jo aap yeh dekhte ho ki mother has been lactating but stopped the lactation kyunki chey mahi ne. The child needs the mother's Now, that milk also has a lot of immunoglobulins, antibodies, which the immunity strong. But the mother is a human. Till how long will she be able to give the milk? Because her body is also in a of compromise. So, 6 months where it very necessary, Milk is produced If some females that a back to back child, then the mother lactates It's like that, the lactation stops. But the whole human be if it raising That's why foods But if we talk about foods, what the easy understanding? Carbohydrates, proteins, fats, fibers. That is our easy understanding. Milk, if now come to my proposition of demography, if we India, If we at the religious beliefs of on a massive level, we in milk, ghee, like I come from a Brahmin family, we ⁓ Panchratna. Or when we pray we take milk, water, honey, ghee, etc. So it us to vegan and that is why we also pray to that she has been so much and that is why we idolize her. will pray to her. We Panchamrit. We get cow dung, cow dung gas, we get milk. So that is why she has been there for our survival for a very long period of time. Now yes, understanding how vegan culture is less animal cruelty etc. speaker-0: So you won't punch a minute later. speaker-1: In the West, there practice because is a fortification of food. There, every vegan can highly fortified. You minerals and nutrients. Is that a India? Now we at the base level of chapters. Where we protein intake, fiber intake. Now we will go. So when we run on veganism, good. If that is with your sentiments, good. But If you living in India, are you getting the amount of nutrients you would have got with the consumption of milk, with the consumption of being a non-vegetarian or being an agitatorian? Are you through vegetarianism? So, me, food should taken in some areas And when we see the chapters of lactose intolerance, out of 100 cases One might be there who actually lactose intolerance, rest of all of them self-assumed because they milk and stomach was triggered. It is not because in your body again different enzymes, like we clean our body, did you clean your body? speaker-0: Exactly. Well lactose intolerance needs speaker-1: action has to If you self-proclaim that you drank coffee, milk, buttermilk or I am through curd or paneer, but through milk. You still need to speak to a professional. In this case, a nutritionist, they will figure out for you because the digestion in are veins. So they aggravate. Like, you know, something is itching and you are constantly rubbing that. It will turn red. It will keep on having the burning sensation so you allow it to rest. You can have lactase enzyme, can have a word with your nutritionist etc. See if you are actually lactose intolerant, do the test and otherwise you are self-proclaimed. You are just having the aggravated result because ⁓ your body part highly active for a very limited period of time. So throughout the life you have to leave the milk, no. In India you are planning to leave the milk, your choice. speaker-0: Exactly. Milk does have proteins in it. So if eat it bloat. If too protein and drink milk, it bloat. But it doesn't mean that you are lactose intolerant in that case. No. So my biggest takeaway from today's discussion is that building strength doesn't always mean doing more. Sometimes it means recovering better, sleeping better, eating smarter and listening to what our body has been trying to tell us for a very long time.
