Transcript
- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: I'm Tina.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: I'm your transformational coach and emotional intelligence strategist.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: I'm here helping women rebuild themselves in the middle of their life.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: So if you're in your midlifetime, and if you're a man, you can listen to, of course.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: I'm here and I do not discriminate.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: Okay, all right.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: I am back in the podcast room after another unexpected three weeks of not being in here.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: And let me tell you, did I ever miss you guys?
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: And I missed this, and I was thinking about everybody and hoping that I could just get myself going again.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I needed to just get some more energy.
- 0:42SPEAKER_01: So I'm ex, I'm gonna start exactly where I am.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna like, oh, like, I don't know, sugarcoat it.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: So that's where I'm at.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: I'm right here.
- 0:53SPEAKER_01: I'm just starting over.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: I didn't even know what I was gonna do for my first episode back.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: So I'm regrouped now and I'm here to rebuild with you in the real time.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: And that's really important to me, real time.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: So I don't want to pretend that I'm good.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: I don't want to say that I'm worse than I am.
- 1:11SPEAKER_01: I want to keep a positive attitude, but I also want to be truthful and meet other people where they are because I know that when I watch a lot of podcasts or videos, that some people, including myself, have sugarcoated how they're feeling, how they're doing to be so positive.
- 1:27SPEAKER_01: And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: I think that's great.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Fake it till you make it, or even just if you're feeling more positive, it feels better.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: And maybe that works for you.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: For me, I I struggle with that because I'm like, no, I want to be who I am.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: So I'm showing up as I am right now in real time, and I'm hoping that encourages other people to be vulnerable.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: I still am positive.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: And so I've had, you know, an interesting new year starting January 2nd.
- 1:55SPEAKER_01: Some of you have followed my vision journey.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: So and that's another episode.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: Maybe I'll do an episode on that later because it is about midlife, how your eyes and your vision can get foggy, or can you can get a detached retina, or you have to really I preaching to myself, have to really take care of my eyes and go to the appointments.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: So and what I was just thinking was even if you pause, it doesn't break you.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: It can make you stronger, it makes you regroup.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: Maybe you need to pause, maybe you're just going 25,000 miles an hour, and your body and your brain can't even catch up with you, and that's okay.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: There's no shame, there's no guilt.
- 2:42SPEAKER_01: There is no guilt.
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Just restart from your truth, regroup.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: And when you do return, like I was like, oh my god, I have to come up with all these excuses.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: No, I don't have to explain anything.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: I'm just doing it as a courtesy, and I'm not doing it in a dramatic way.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Like I could tell you what I went through in the last three weeks, but yeah, we don't have that kind of time right now.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: Plus, you know, I want to stick to a different kind of pattern in my life where I want to say things, and if I'm careful about what I say, I want to I have abundance.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: I don't want to say I lack anything.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: I think it's really important for me to talk how I want to be or how I am.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: So for an example, I'm imagining I'm a loaf, life, a loaf, I'm a loaf, I'm a bread, a loaf of bread.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: No, I'm a life coach.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: I am a life coach.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: And last night I was laying down.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I am a podcaster, I am an author, I have a book that I have to not have to, but get to edit, and I'm so excited.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: And so that's a part of the things that are coming up, and I have a lot to live for and a lot to be excited for.
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: And I know sometimes things can get tough, and it's okay to, you know, you fall back, and that's okay, and then you just come back stronger.
- 4:00SPEAKER_01: So have you been off your game lately?
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: Maybe there are some things that you have to regroup or restart.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: And just be honest with yourself, and that's another thing.
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: I have to be honest with myself.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: I do like these checks with myself.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: Okay, Tina.
- 4:15SPEAKER_01: So where are you at?
- 4:17SPEAKER_01: Well, right now I'm feeling this or that.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Right now I'm super pumped, I'm super excited.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: I found uh I'm taking vitamins, B uh vitamins, B9, B12, and I have amazing amounts of energy.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: And of course, I'm not telling you to do that, but I'm just telling you what I did.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: So if you do something like that, just consult your doctor before you take anything else.
- 4:38SPEAKER_01: And I'm not a therapist.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: As we're doing the declaimers, we might as well disclaimers, we might as well go with I'm not a therapist, I'm not a social worker, I am not trained in the area of psychiatry.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: Now I have taken a life course of six-month course, and I've taken classes in social work, so I feel like, and I've also like the most important thing is the lived experience.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: I feel like I don't need a degree to and don't, I know I don't want any hate mail for this.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: If you got your degree, I'm not putting you down.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Like I want the degree.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: I have some things that I have to accomplish first before I can go back to school.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: It's on my list.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: I will go back to school, I will complete my degree.
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: I just turned 54.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna put it out there in the air.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: I will have my degree by age 60.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: I will have my BA.
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: So that's what I'm talking about.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: I'm putting stuff out in the air.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Like I will see again.
- 5:40SPEAKER_01: My eyes will get better.
- 5:42SPEAKER_01: They are better, they're getting better.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: They're they're actually better than I expected.
- 5:48SPEAKER_01: I did have a little hiccup, but I'm so grateful to what everything is.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: I've like heard some horror stories of people that did not have some great outcomes during their surgery.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: And if that's you, I'm sorry.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: And we'll do some episodes in the future about that.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: So I was just thinking, like, you're not starting over, and you don't have to have shame, you don't have to have guilt.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: And that's that's something that sometimes in the past I would get hooked up on.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: I would not start or I wouldn't want to say where I'm at.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't want to admit even with myself where I'm at.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: And now I'm like taking inventory and writing down stuff and writing down where I need to go and just accomplishing, you know, one or two tasks a day, nothing too heavy, but just something to move the dial.
- 6:31SPEAKER_01: If you're finding your way, you're not broken, you're not behind.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: You're exactly where you are meant to be.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: And I believe that in my heart and soul.
- 6:41SPEAKER_01: I'm exactly where I'm meant to be, right here, right today, February 21st, doing my podcast in the library, happy, excited, out of bed, have some energy.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: This is exactly where I'm supposed to be.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: And so I'm here.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: I'm right here.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: I'm sitting right here with you.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: And if this episode has helped you, let me just turn that down a little bit.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: And I forgot how to turn it down.
- 7:06SPEAKER_01: Oh, here we go.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: We're gonna turn it down.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: See, I'm in real time turning it down.
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: I didn't pause, I just went with it during the time.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: But if this episode landed in your chest, and I say chest because I I'm speaking from my heart, share it with a woman that's trying to come back, or maybe you haven't seen somebody, or maybe just listen to it again and share it with yourself.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: Share it with anybody that you think could benefit from this.
- 7:30SPEAKER_01: And if you're rebuilding and regrouping in real time, hit follow, hit subscribe so we can do it together.
- 7:37SPEAKER_01: Like I'm here with you, you're not alone.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: I believe that's important to feel like you have support.
- 7:42SPEAKER_01: I'm here to support and guide you and support you in any positive ways that I can.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: You know, if you find your, if you're if you find your way, not if, but when you find your way, just remember that's exactly where you're supposed to be.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, so thank you for listening.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: This is Tina.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: Get it, got it, girl.
- 8:03SPEAKER_01: I'm your transformational coach and emotional intelligence strategist, and I'm here to help you.
- 8:08SPEAKER_01: I'm here for you to go through the journey with me.
- 8:11SPEAKER_01: Okay, and one more thing, and I love doing this for people, and I'm doing it for myself too.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: We're gonna clap.
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: We're gonna clap and ride this out.
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: Talk to you next time.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: I'll meet you next week in the next episode.
