Latest / True Crime with Gavin Fish / Cruise Ship Murder: Anna Kepner’s Last Moments and the Charges Against Her Stepbrother (As an Adult)
Transcript
- 0:01My friends, we have a giant dock dump in the Anna Kepner case.
- 0:09We talked a little bit about it yesterday after we spent some
- 0:14time on the Nancy Guthrie case. Today we're going to flip it
- 0:17around. We're going to focus on Anna's
- 0:20case tonight and we will. Well, there is some news in the
- 0:27Nancy Guthrie case, but we're going to focus on Anna because
- 0:32we've got so much new information.
- 0:37I want to let you know just right out of the gate that
- 0:40whenever I get documents in cases, one of the benefits that
- 0:44I give my patrons is access to those documents.
- 0:48So if you let me make sure that I set this up correctly, did I?
- 0:52Let's see. Oh, close enough.
- 0:54We're close enough. If you go over to my website,
- 1:00whichisgavinfish.com, Push the right button, Gavin.
- 1:05Push the right button, Gavin. There we go.
- 1:07That now, Now I've shown you guys my agenda.
- 1:10Now you can pause and see what it is that we're going to talk.
- 1:12It's OK. I'm going to tell you anyway on
- 1:15my website, Scroll down. You can find Patreon link right
- 1:20there. You can also always find it in
- 1:21the description of the YouTube video and the Spotify podcast.
- 1:25But you will see there are 37 court documents that I have
- 1:30uploaded up there. And as more documents become
- 1:34available, in this case, I will, I will put them there.
- 1:40So if there and if there's anything, well, I already said
- 1:44that there's anything new, I'll put it there.
- 1:46And you know, if that if you are kind of on the fence about
- 1:50whether or not you want to support me on Patreon, that's
- 1:52just a added bonus. You can, you can get access to
- 1:56those documents. If you're not though, my
- 1:58friends, if you, if you can't do that, there's no pressure.
- 2:02That's just an invitation, man. And it's one of the reasons we
- 2:06do the live stream. We'll go over the documents
- 2:08together, you and I. So beyond Anna Kepner, let's go
- 2:15over. Let's see.
- 2:16We've got Anna's case. We got three questions tonight.
- 2:19A couple of really good questions in there.
- 2:21In the True crime headlines segment, we are talking about
- 2:25some Youtubers that apparently are making some trouble out
- 2:27there in Tucson, some updates on Amy Hilliard, Tyler Robinson,
- 2:32Celeste Rivas Hernandez, and we've got some good news.
- 2:36So we got a big long show. And in the, I mean for Anna's
- 2:41case, I think I've got 4 documents queued up to go
- 2:44through this. This feels like it's the old
- 2:46days, the the Madeline Soto days where we got so much that we
- 2:50could talk about. We may have to.
- 2:54I don't mind going long, but if it gets too long, we may have to
- 2:56split it up to tomorrow. Who?
- 2:59So there's a lot. Stick with me.
- 3:13This video contains mature themes and discussions intended
- 3:17only for adult audiences. Viewer discretion is advised.
- 3:23Well, hello there, my friend. Welcome back to another true
- 3:25crime conversation with me, Gavin Fish.
- 3:29I'm so glad that you are spending some time with me on my
- 3:32channel. If you're new around here, we're
- 3:34kind of chill and we're kind of spastic too at times.
- 3:38They seem to be appropriate times, right?
- 3:41We take our cases seriously, we take crime seriously, we take
- 3:44victims very seriously and their families, but we don't take
- 3:48ourselves seriously. We like to have a little bit of
- 3:50fun along the way. So if that is your jam, then you
- 3:54have found the right tune for to do some dancing and I'm glad you
- 3:59have. Thanks for tuning in.
- 4:00Wherever you're tuning in from, please tell me in the comments.
- 4:03I, I just love to check that out, especially like when I find
- 4:07people that are close by and people that are far, far away.
- 4:11For those of you in the middle there, I love you too, but I
- 4:15don't know, I just I it's fun to see people that are close,
- 4:19people that are far. It's pretty cool.
- 4:22A special note, I have put up a poll on the YouTube live stream
- 4:31asking what you guys think about using THS full name.
- 4:39He is a juvenile. This is the suspect in Anna
- 4:43Kepner's murder and essay. However, he is now being tried,
- 4:52prosecuted as an adult, and several major media outlets are
- 5:00using his full name. I'm kind of on the fence, so
- 5:04tell me in the poll what you think I ought to do.
- 5:08So far, 73% of you are saying go for it, 22% of you are saying I
- 5:14really don't care, and then 5% of you are saying don't use his
- 5:18name. So yeah, let your let your
- 5:23feelings be known. I think I will probably go by
- 5:27what what you guys think. It's no secret what his name is.
- 5:32I'm just kind of on the fence. All right, let's do a brief
- 5:39recap, shall we? This is Anna Kepner.
- 5:43Anna Kepner was an 18 year old young woman from Titusville, FL.
- 5:49She died on November 7th of 2025 while she was on a cruise with
- 5:53her family on board the Carnival Horizon cruise ship as it
- 6:02traveled back to Miami from the Caribbean.
- 6:06She had been vacationing with multiple family members,
- 6:08including her 16 year old stepbrother with whom she shared
- 6:13a cabin on the trip. Her death so ugly she was
- 6:21missing for a little while, Where is Anna, where is Anna?
- 6:23Where is Anna? That she was discovered stuffed
- 6:27in among like spare blankets and life jackets and stuff like that
- 6:31in the cabin that she was sharing with at least one
- 6:34stepbrother. I think they're probably more.
- 6:38Her death was later ruled A homicide.
- 6:41It's caused by mechanical asphyxiation, according to the
- 6:45medical examiner. It happened while the ship was
- 6:48in international waters, which puts this into federal
- 6:51jurisdiction, which makes it easy for us to get court records
- 6:56once they became unsealed. If it would have happened in
- 6:59Florida, it probably would have been even easier.
- 7:02But it's it's a federal case investigated by the FBI.
- 7:08Authorities allege that her stepbrother, known in records as
- 7:13TH, is responsible for her death and that prior to her death, he
- 7:19assaulted her in a keeping this YouTube friendly in an SAE
- 7:26manner SA ish SA esque manner. He SA Ed her right, according to
- 7:36authorities. I shouldn't say that as fact,
- 7:38according to prosecutors. According to investigators, that
- 7:41is what happened. So that is where we are.
- 7:47That's the case that we're talking about now.
- 7:50Let's let's check in with you guys, see where you guys are
- 7:56coming to us from. Emmy is with us.
- 7:59She's from San Jose and I know that Sharky's with us.
- 8:02We got Barb from Calgary, AB, Canada.
- 8:06Thank you very much for being here.
- 8:08We got Daytona Beach here. Deanna, glad to see you.
- 8:12Good to see my moderators as always.
- 8:14Autumn, Mooney and Robin, thank you very much for being here.
- 8:18We have got. Who else have we got here?
- 8:27Canada's here. Thank you very much.
- 8:29Fredericksburg, VA is in the house.
- 8:33Thank you. I'm glad that you are here.
- 8:35Colorado is here. Soddy Daisy, TN, Redding, CA.
- 8:40I do love me Northern California.
- 8:43Normie von Ormie is coming to us from Beyonce's hometown and,
- 8:47well, that is a clever way of telling us where you're from.
- 8:50Though I don't know where Beyoncé is from.
- 8:52I got to be honest, I'm not a I'm not a Beyoncé aficionado,
- 8:56let's say Tracy Burns from Prague.
- 8:59Thank you. You are You are currently in
- 9:02first place for farthest away, central Central Arkansas, Bergen
- 9:06County, New Jersey. Thank you very much for being
- 9:08here. Let's see, Elizabeth says Brian
- 9:14and interviewed A reporter close to the family and he was using
- 9:17the name freely, for what it's worth.
- 9:18Yeah, I think that we're going to go that way.
- 9:23Let's see half Nelson says if there were any evidence that
- 9:26would leave any doubt he was innocent, I'd say to conceal his
- 9:30name. But there's so much stack
- 9:31against stacked against him. For me, it's not as much about
- 9:35that, though. I appreciate the comment.
- 9:36For me, it's more about he's being tried as an adult.
- 9:41So legally, I think he's an adult.
- 9:46Let's see Ohio Pom moms having issues with the technology.
- 9:49Sorry about that. Let's see coffee time. 4D says
- 9:54I'm not trying to sway you or I want to remind you that most of
- 9:57us enjoy and respect your integrity.
- 9:59I think you need to follow your gut on using his name or not
- 10:01yet. My my gut is telling me it's OK
- 10:04in this one. Drippy, eerie PA is in the
- 10:08house. Jenny is back at us from the
- 10:12Queen of the American Lakes. We got Sarver, PA in the house.
- 10:17The city of Cinco de Mayo is there.
- 10:20Beyoncé is from Houston. Oh, I did not know she was a
- 10:24Texas girl. I had no idea.
- 10:27Montreal. You guys are awesome.
- 10:30Guys are awesome. Thank you very much for checking
- 10:32in and telling me where you're from.
- 10:33I love that part. That's that's my favorite part.
- 10:37OK, what should we start out with?
- 10:39We have done the recap on the case.
- 10:40Let's go over here. This is a document that we
- 10:45looked at yesterday, but I'm going to bring it up again.
- 10:48This is the indictment. This will kind of set set us up
- 10:52for everything here. And I'm going to go ahead and
- 10:55stop the stop the poll. I think that I think I'm
- 11:01comfortable using his name. OK, so here we go.
- 11:11This was filed on the 10th of March.
- 11:13There was information filed beforehand.
- 11:17This is known as the superseding indictment.
- 11:20It basically contains the same stuff.
- 11:23It is the US, the United States of the America versus Timothy
- 11:29Hudson, a minor, as the defendant and the Grand jury
- 11:35charges that count 1. Murder on or about November 6th,
- 11:412025, within the special maritime and territorial
- 11:45jurisdiction of the United States upon the high seas and
- 11:48out of the jurisdiction of any particular state or district,
- 11:52with Miami-Dade County in the Southern District of Florida
- 11:55being the district in which the offender was arrested.
- 11:58The defendant, Mr. Hudson, a minor, did knowingly and
- 12:02unlawfully perpetrate an attempt to perpetrate a murder that is
- 12:071, The willful, deliberate, malicious and premeditated
- 12:11killing of Anna Kepner with malice aforethought, and two,
- 12:17the unlawful killing of Anna during the perpetration or
- 12:23attempt to perpetrate an aggravated SA.
- 12:28This was something that I think we all at all suspected.
- 12:34I even think extended family members probably talked about it
- 12:37a little bit. But it is it is the charge it
- 12:43was aggravated because let's see, it's not the count is just
- 12:49murder, not aggravated murder, but the IT was an aggravated
- 12:53essay. I do like to talk a little bit
- 13:00about malice aforethought. We talked about that from time
- 13:02to time. Malice aforethought means
- 13:07basically pre planning, right? Intended to do it and planned to
- 13:13do it. However, that planning can
- 13:17happen in a moment, right? You're attempting to essay your
- 13:22step sister, for example. She's not cooperating.
- 13:26And then she says something like I'm going to tell mom and dad
- 13:30I'm going to and then, OK, well then she has to go.
- 13:34That is malice aforethought. It can happen instantaneously.
- 13:40That was one of the things that was so frustrating when I was a
- 13:43member of a jury years and years and years ago on a double
- 13:47homicide case, that people not willing to come to the the
- 13:51conclusion that no, he didn't have to.
- 13:53He didn't have to plan this for days and days and days.
- 13:57He he decided to do it in the moment.
- 14:01It was it was really, really tough to to make that argument.
- 14:05OK count #2 is aggravated SA on or about November 6th again
- 14:11within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of
- 14:14these United States upon the high seas and out of the
- 14:18jurisdiction of any particular state or district, with
- 14:20Miami-Dade County and the Southern District of Florida
- 14:22being the district in which the offender was arrested.
- 14:24The defendant THA minor did knowingly cause or attempt to
- 14:29cause a person that is Anna Kepner to engage in a sexual act
- 14:34that is by causing contact between his I have to keep this
- 14:41YouTube appropriate sexual organ, let's say and Anna
- 14:45Kepner's sexual organ by penetrating Anna Kepner with his
- 14:50sexual organ and did so by use of force against Anna Kepner.
- 14:56And then the rest of the document that is just, you know,
- 15:02couple of other things I don't like it tells us basically
- 15:06murder, first degree murder. He's facing life in prison and,
- 15:10and a maximum fine of $250,000. And for the aggravated essays
- 15:15facing life in prison maximum fine of $250,000.
- 15:20So not not little charges here. OK, So there are several
- 15:27documents that I decided to bring to you.
- 15:30These are a little out of order. I want to come back to this one
- 15:34which was sealed and became unsealed.
- 15:39This was filed back in February. Now remember Anna was murdered
- 15:44and assaulted according to authorities the previous
- 15:50November, right? So we're talking a little about
- 15:562 1/2 months, little over 2 1/2 months later, they filed this
- 16:04motion and it's an unopposed motion to transfer the case to
- 16:08adult status. And the reason I want to share
- 16:11this one with you is there's a lot of background, OK. the
- 16:19United States of America, by and through the undersigned
- 16:22Assistant United States Attorney hereby files this unopposed
- 16:26motion to transfer case to adult status as the juvenile
- 16:30defendant, Timothy Hudson. Pursuant to the provisions of
- 16:34Title 18, US Code, section 5032, and the interests of justice.
- 16:39In support of its motion, the United States avers the
- 16:43following relevant factual background On or about November
- 16:487th. So the 6th of the 7th.
- 16:52I guess they don't know exactly what date it was.
- 16:58Oh no no, Gavin, read ahead. Don't don't, don't get ahead of
- 17:01yourself, Gavin. They found her body on the 7th,
- 17:05OK. On or about November 7th, Anna
- 17:07Kepner, an 18 year old female from Titusville, FL was found
- 17:11deceased in the cabin she shared with the minor and a sibling on
- 17:16the Carnival Cruise Lines Horizon of the Seas while the
- 17:19ship was on the high seas on its journey to Miami, FL.
- 17:23The subsequent investigation of Anna Kepner's death resulted in
- 17:26the prosecution against the minor, a 16 year old male.
- 17:31So there were three people in that cabin, right?
- 17:34Anna Kepner, Timothy Hudson and a sibling.
- 17:39Anna, Anna Kepner's sibling. I'm having to remind myself of
- 17:43so many details. This is one of those cases where
- 17:46I man I I've constantly been looking for updates daily, been
- 17:52looking for updates on this and haven't had them for months.
- 17:56So you'll forgive me if there are details that I've forgotten.
- 18:00But details that you remember that that are important to you,
- 18:04please put in the live chat. I'd really like to hear your
- 18:11comments. And getting us started with the
- 18:13Super chat is just Ducky. Thank you very much, Ducky.
- 18:17With a $5 super chat saying thumbs up for Gavin and his
- 18:20awesome mods. I do have awesome mods.
- 18:23Thanks, Ducky. I appreciate that.
- 18:26OK. And let's see if there's
- 18:28anything else you guys have said here.
- 18:33Yeah, I, I, I never would have guessed Houston for Beyoncé
- 18:37Knowles. No, I'm old enough to remember
- 18:40when Beyoncé Knowles was not just Beyoncé Knowles, Right.
- 18:44And now I'm blanking on the group.
- 18:46What is the name of the Destiny's Child?
- 18:48Right. Yeah.
- 18:55Oh, I'm just, I'm, I'm sorry. I'm remembering.
- 18:57I'm remembering music from the 90s.
- 18:59I had a moment there. I just had a moment.
- 19:03So. So yeah, I, I never would have
- 19:06guessed Houston. You are correct, wouldn't have
- 19:08done it. OK.
- 19:12Paragraph #2 Pursuant to provisions of the Juvenile
- 19:15Delinquency Act, the United States Attorney for the Southern
- 19:19District of Florida filed an information on February 2nd,
- 19:232026, charging the minor with one count of murder in the first
- 19:27degree, a violation of this code, and one count of
- 19:31aggravated essay, a violation of that code.
- 19:34Again, you guys, that information document is
- 19:37available. It's one of the very first, it's
- 19:42one of the very first pieces of information like file #3 and I'm
- 19:48hopefully I'm, I've got these organized in a way that you guys
- 19:52will be able to to follow them. You'll notice like for example,
- 19:57file #17 is there, but file 18 and 19 are not.
- 20:01But I have included the docket report it, it's just because it
- 20:03was probably a, a motion that was an oral motion or something
- 20:07like that. So there's no actual document,
- 20:09but it's all there. OK.
- 20:12The minor surrendered himself on February 3rd, 2026.
- 20:18So he wasn't charged for November, December, January, for
- 20:23three months. On the same day, the minor had
- 20:27his initial appearance and arraignment on the information
- 20:30before United States Magistrate Judge Edwin G Torres.
- 20:34When he pled or plead not guilt, he pleaded.
- 20:40He pled not guilty to the charges contained in the
- 20:43information. The minor also demanded
- 20:46discovery and the Magistrate Court entered the standard
- 20:49discovery order in this matter. Additionally, A pretrial
- 20:54detention hearing was held on February 6th, 2026 upon the
- 20:59government's request for pretrial detention.
- 21:02After an hours long hearing, the United States Magistrate Judge
- 21:05Torres released the minor defendant with various
- 21:09conditions to the custody of a family member.
- 21:12We have a motion that I'm going to read.
- 21:14It's, it's the latest one. It's the motion to revoke that
- 21:21or to what is the motion? It's let's bring up Anna.
- 21:26It's the motion to review and revoke.
- 21:30Yeah. So we'll get to that.
- 21:36So yeah he's charged with murder in the first degree.
- 21:41He's charged with aggravated essay of his step sister and he
- 21:47was released to the custody of a family member.
- 21:50I, I mean, I don't even think there was bond, but what do I
- 21:56know? They're probably they're
- 21:57probably rules for juveniles. OK.
- 22:02Paragraph 5. Pursuant to US Code, 18 US Code
- 22:075032, the proceedings against the minor shall continue a final
- 22:11disposition hearing unless a the minor requests to be proceeded
- 22:16against as an adult or be upon a motion by the United States
- 22:20requesting to transfer this matter from juvenile status to
- 22:24adult status, the United States now makes said request, which is
- 22:31unopposed by the minor. Consequently, the minor Mr.
- 22:35Hudson, has executed a written document.
- 22:37Attached hereto is attachment one to this motion requesting he
- 22:42be proceeded against in this matter as an adult.
- 22:46So not only is the United States the prosecution asking that he
- 22:52be tried as an adult, he is. I mean, it's not even that he's
- 22:59unopposed to it. He full on a saying, yeah, let
- 23:02let's let's do this in grown up court.
- 23:05Interesting. I'm curious for you lawyers that
- 23:10are watching, if you could tell us in the live comment why
- 23:14somebody would rather be an adult court than juvenile court.
- 23:19I would love to know that. OK, continuing analysis and
- 23:25memorandum. Memorandum of law quote, a
- 23:30juvenile who is alleged to have committed an act of juvenile
- 23:34delinquency and who is not surrendered to state authority
- 23:39shall be proceeded against under Chapter 4 O3 That is under the
- 23:42provisions of the Juvenile Delinquency Act.
- 23:45Here, the United States has alleged the minor committed 2
- 23:48acts of juvenile delinquency by information on February 2nd,
- 23:522026. I think that is an
- 23:54understatement, but you know, legally speaking is probably
- 23:57accurate. He's a juvenile delinquent
- 23:59because we're saying he committed murder and aggravated
- 24:02essay that is, that is delinquency.
- 24:04I would say at least normally, Therefore, the provisions of the
- 24:08Juvenile Delinquency Act would require a delinquency hearing to
- 24:12be held for this court to make a determination of delinquency.
- 24:16However, this court may proceed against the minor as an adult in
- 24:21the interests of justice as outlined in Section 5032.
- 24:25Under certain circumstances applicable here, the court may
- 24:29proceed against the minor as an adult of the United States as an
- 24:34adult if the United States makes a motion, as it does now, to the
- 24:38court for the discretionary transfer of this matter to adult
- 24:41status. This transfer may be requested
- 24:43where a the juvenile is 15 years or older B.
- 24:47The ACT which is alleged to have been committed was an act after
- 24:50the juvenile's 15th birthday. I think even B are the same.
- 24:57OK. C The act is one that, had it
- 25:00been committed by an adult, would be a felony, that is a
- 25:03crime of violence or a drug trafficking offense.
- 25:07If such a motion is made, the court must then conduct conduct
- 25:10an evidentiary hearing to determine if the matter against
- 25:13the minor should proceed. Proceed to adult status, where
- 25:17the government has the burden to prove by a preponderance of the
- 25:20evidence that the transfer of this matter is in the interests
- 25:24of justice. Here, the minor is 16 years of
- 25:29age and is alleged to have committed 2 offenses after the
- 25:32age of 15, which if committed by an adult.
- 25:35Oh I, I see the difference between A&B.
- 25:38OK I get it. The it's the offense date and
- 25:40the charge date is the difference OK, so if it were
- 25:44committed by an adult would both be crimes of violence?
- 25:46Moreover, the Government avers that the serious nature of the
- 25:50offenses in this matter presents a compelling federal interest in
- 25:54transferring the matter to adult status.
- 25:56Finally, the authority to proceed with the this motion to
- 25:59transfer has been authorized by the United States Attorney for
- 26:02the Southern District of Florida under the authority delegated to
- 26:06him by the Attorney General of the United States, as evidenced
- 26:09by attachment to to this motion which is made a part of this
- 26:13motion. As such Government's motion
- 26:16meets the basic requirements for the court to consider, this
- 26:18matters transfer to adult status.
- 26:21Therefore, the court could proceed to a section 5032
- 26:25hearing if the minor objected to the Government's motion
- 26:28nonetheless. Oh, there's more.
- 26:31The court may also transfer this matter to adult status if the
- 26:34minor, in writing and with the advice of counsel, request such
- 26:37a transfer. Here, in addition to the
- 26:41Government's motion and as evidence in attachment one to
- 26:44this motion, the minor is requesting this Court
- 26:46transferred this matter to adult status as the minors requested
- 26:50this writing in writing that this court proceed in the matter
- 26:53against him as an adult, the court need not proceed to a
- 26:57Section 5032 hearing since under the plain wording of Section
- 27:005032, the minors written request is also a proper vehicle for the
- 27:04court to transfer this matter to adult status.
- 27:07Once this Court has entered an order transferring this matter
- 27:10to adult status, the government will then seek a two week period
- 27:13from the date. Blah blah blah, blah blah, blah
- 27:15blah. OK.
- 27:17I just see if there's anything in there that I want to let's
- 27:25see I want to see about his here's attachment one.
- 27:31So this is from the defendant. OK, a request to proceed as an
- 27:37adult and waiver of hearing pursuing pursuant to 18 USC
- 27:405032. And if I believe, I think this
- 27:46might be another document that is on the list.
- 27:49But anyway. Defendant Mr. Hudson, a minor,
- 27:52comes now before the court and asserts as follows.
- 27:54He has sought the advice of counsel assistant public
- 27:57defenders Eric Cohen, Abigail Becker and Evan Cool.
- 28:02He recognizes the United States has alleged by information he
- 28:05committed acts after the age of 15 years which if committed by
- 28:08an adult would be felonies that are crimes of violence.
- 28:11He further understands that as a minor, the instant proceeding
- 28:14against him is currently a delinquency proceeding in
- 28:17juvenile status. He also knows the US has made a
- 28:20request for this court acting under this discretionary
- 28:24authority to transfer this instant matter to adult status.
- 28:27He recognizes that should he contest EU s s motion, this
- 28:30court must conduct a hearing right Further understands he
- 28:35would have an opportunity to present evidence or the US.
- 28:39Gavin don't yadda yadda this. He further understands that at
- 28:42this hearing, he and the United States would have the
- 28:44opportunity to present evidence regarding Section 5032 six
- 28:48factors and the US would have the burden to establish by a
- 28:52preponderance of the evidence that such a transfer would be in
- 28:55the interest of justice. He also knows that this Court
- 28:59would consider and make findings regarding the six Section 5032
- 29:03factors in deciding whether the transfer or or to transfer this
- 29:07matter to adult status. Any further recognizes that
- 29:10should the court decide to transfer this matter to adult
- 29:13status after a section 5032 hearing, he could appeal the
- 29:16court's decision. Having understood everything is
- 29:18described above and upon the advice of counsel, the minor
- 29:21waives his right to a Section 5032 adult transfer hearing and
- 29:25respectfully request this court allowed the matter to proceed
- 29:29against him as an adult signed by himself and his attorneys.
- 29:37I think there are other there's the attachment to which is what
- 29:44is this a memorandum for all US attorney?
- 29:46So this is like their authority delegated by the attorney
- 29:50General, right. So, oh, let's pause there and
- 29:54see. Check in what you guys are
- 29:55saying over here on the old live chat.
- 30:03Looks like we got a couple more super chats.
- 30:05Thanks to Ducky again for starting this off.
- 30:09Thank you very much. Dom's mom, she says, Gavin,
- 30:13appreciate you and your mods in the fish tank.
- 30:15Do you think this will go to trial?
- 30:17And if so, it'll be televised? Man, that is a good question.
- 30:21So if this were in a Florida State court, yeah, cameras would
- 30:25be allowed. But in federal court, let's,
- 30:30let's see, let me just do a quick search.
- 30:43No, federal criminal courts generally do not allow cameras,
- 30:46television broadcasting or video recording and proceedings inside
- 30:51the courtroom. And that is from the Southern
- 30:53District of Florida. So no exceptions for high
- 30:58profile cases. Cameras are only permitted for
- 31:02administrative, ceremonial, or security purposes or for
- 31:06submitting evidence, not for public broadcast.
- 31:12While federal trial courts bar cameras, some federal appellate
- 31:15courts may permit recordings at oral arguments.
- 31:19So yeah, let's see. While video is banned, the
- 31:24Judicial Conference has at times authorized remote audio access,
- 31:28access to certain proceedings, the live audio witness testimony
- 31:33and trials is generally not allowed, and pressure exists to
- 31:35expand these options for greater transparency.
- 31:39So yeah, first of all, Dom's on. Thank you very much for that
- 31:43super chat. It appears if this does go to
- 31:47trial, I think the likelihood of it going to trial is probably
- 31:50low. But if it does go to trial, it
- 31:54won't be televised. So this might be one of those
- 31:56where we need to get little old me in the in the courtroom to be
- 32:02able to report back on this. Yeah.
- 32:06Debbie, how the heck does he get released after an alleged murder
- 32:10and essay? I'm baffled by it as well.
- 32:13Let's bring up Anna's picture here.
- 32:16Must be because of the juvenile nature of it.
- 32:19It. It has to be that.
- 32:21Thank you for the Super sticker. Doxies for prints.
- 32:24Appreciate that. You guys are awesome, Elizabeth
- 32:27says, who is an attorney as noted by her Esquire after her
- 32:33last name. I don't practice in juvenile
- 32:35court, although in most states it is a court not of record.
- 32:39There may be broader remedies being charged as an adult, such
- 32:43as pleading not guilty by reason of insanity you just thought of.
- 32:47That's an interesting thought. Thank you, Elizabeth.
- 32:51I appreciate you checking in on that.
- 32:55Devo Mama. Thank you very much, She says in
- 32:59her super chat. We need your goofiness never
- 33:02change. I am.
- 33:04I am goofy. That is true.
- 33:07Is it true that Mister Hudson strangled her?
- 33:10It is true that he is charged with her murder, and it is true
- 33:15that Anna Kepner died by manual asphyxiation.
- 33:20Those two things are true. Is it true that he strangled
- 33:25her? That is yet to be proven, but
- 33:28that is the charge. That is the charge.
- 33:30Thank you very much for that question.
- 33:33Debbie says so. I didn't know Gavin had to buy
- 33:35courtroom case reports. I thought they were a matter of
- 33:37public record. Yeah.
- 33:38So on the federal level, On the federal level, they have a
- 33:44system called PACER. It's access to, I don't know
- 33:48what. It's an acronym.
- 33:49Everything in the federal government is an acronym, but
- 33:53PACER allows you to search for cases and allows you access to
- 33:59the documents. And it is so easy.
- 34:02You just have an account. I've had an account for years
- 34:06and they charge you basically $0.10 a page.
- 34:09It's it's so much easier than almost any other jurisdiction as
- 34:13long as it's not sealed. So, you know, I think I probably
- 34:18paid for those 37 documents. I don't know, we're probably at
- 34:2511-12 bucks. I, I don't even, I didn't, I
- 34:27didn't even look right, just just charge my account.
- 34:31But even there are some states, Florida is famously just open.
- 34:39So if this were a state case in Florida, you pretty much can
- 34:43just get access to anything. They, they, depending on the
- 34:48court, each court has a different system that they use.
- 34:54They're like 3 or 4 different systems.
- 34:55But yeah, you can get access to them quickly, the court records.
- 35:01But if you want access to investigative records that are
- 35:04not part of the court record, then you have to pay for those
- 35:10and they get expensive. Like in in the Madeline Soto
- 35:15case. I, I think my total budget in
- 35:19the Maddie Soto case was probably around 1000 bucks.
- 35:23It's probably what I spent on, on everything there.
- 35:27I don't, I don't remember specifically.
- 35:29It's been a while in the Todd Cole hip matter.
- 35:34Let me just show you this. If you go to my website,
- 35:39gavinfish.com and go to cases, you will find my case
- 35:45repository. OK, now the Todd Cole hep case,
- 35:49he's a serial killer, fascinated me.
- 35:54And this was down in South Carolina, fascinated me.
- 35:58And so I wanted every document I could get my hands on.
- 36:03And when I talked to the investigators, they were like,
- 36:06OK, well we have to get a quote for you because we have 4 filing
- 36:10cabinets full of this. Most of it is not scanned in
- 36:14already. We'll have to get it scanned in.
- 36:16And I was like, great, just let me know.
- 36:19And then they came back to me like 3 weeks later, OK, it's
- 36:22going to cost you. And I think it was like $28,000.
- 36:28And I did like a spit take. What?
- 36:32Right. But then the investigator said,
- 36:38you know what though? We gave all of the pertinent
- 36:42information that was needed for his prosecution over to the
- 36:44prosecutor. Maybe you should call the
- 36:46prosecutor. And I called the prosecutor and
- 36:51I got all of these documents, all of the photos, So, so, so,
- 36:57so many of them, right? And then there were there were
- 36:59follow up lawsuits and so forth. So this is a really good example
- 37:03where of course I had to pay for him, but instead of like
- 37:07$28,000, it was some several hundreds of dollars, it was 7 or
- 37:11$800. Same thing in the Ellen
- 37:14Greenberg case right before I met her family and I was
- 37:18purchasing the documents. I think, I think I spent about
- 37:24$700.00 on on Ellen's case. But there are there are so many
- 37:31documents in here. And then ultimately I just
- 37:35became friendly and close with like I, I kind of consider Sandy
- 37:39my bonus mom. I Ellen's mom.
- 37:42She's she's awesome here. Here's another example.
- 37:45This is the Amanda Winkowski case.
- 37:47This is the very first case where I got access to case
- 37:53records. I got them from Amanda's family.
- 37:56In this case, she had to pay for the documents her her own family
- 38:02had to pay for their daughters, that the victim's family had to
- 38:04pay to get police records. And then I've shared a few that
- 38:13that her family allowed me to share.
- 38:17Course, I kept everything else confidential.
- 38:19So yeah, that if they are a public record, most of these are
- 38:24public record, but you usually have to pay for them.
- 38:28Great question. Going back to Anna.
- 38:32Let's see a affordable you're goofy and smart and very
- 38:37accurate and friendly. Well, thank you.
- 38:38Thank you very much. You're welcome Doxies for
- 38:41prints. Let's see.
- 38:44Why is a case sealed then? Debbie asks.
- 38:47This case was sealed because the juvenile the the offender is a
- 38:50juvenile. That's why it was sealed.
- 38:52And if you go to I, I can actually probably bring up the
- 38:57document. This isn't one that I prepared
- 39:00to bring up, but I will bring it up.
- 39:07This was the motion to seal by the United States government
- 39:13right on file on February 2nd, the US, the United States of
- 39:16America by and through its undersigned attorney comes down.
- 39:19Respectfully request that the information certificate of trial
- 39:22attorney penalty sheet, Certificate of the US Attorney
- 39:24Arrest Warrant Bond recommendation, Order regarding
- 39:28detention of a juvenile defendant.
- 39:30This motion and any resulting order be sealed until further
- 39:34order of the court or transfer this matter to adult status as
- 39:37required under the provisions of the Juvenile Delinquency Act.
- 39:41So yeah, it was required under the ACT.
- 39:43Accepting all entities and persons entitled to disclosure,
- 39:48the assistant US attorney has prepared to provide further
- 39:51information in camera should the court so require.
- 39:55That means, you know, in a person off the record meeting or
- 39:57well out of the public eye meeting.
- 40:00So that happened on February 2nd.
- 40:02Now what's interesting is that there is a whole bunch here that
- 40:07we don't have they brought it up, right.
- 40:11We have the information. We don't, I don't think we have
- 40:13the certificate of trial attorney.
- 40:15I don't think we have the penalty sheet.
- 40:17I don't think we have the arrest warrant, the bond
- 40:20recommendation, the order regarding detention.
- 40:23I I don't think we have any of that.
- 40:25So there's, there's a whole bunch more that we're going to
- 40:28have to get our hands on. But it was sealed according to
- 40:32this motion because of the Juvenile Delinquency Act.
- 40:35Great question. Debbie, do you have the
- 40:39coroner's report and findings or did you already cover this?
- 40:42I came in late. I do not have it.
- 40:45It has been that was sealed as well.
- 40:48This will be something that we are going to have to make a
- 40:51request to the medical examiner's office.
- 40:54So hey, Autumn, Robin Mooney, maybe you can remind me.
- 41:00Maybe between the four of us, we will remember and put it into
- 41:02Slack for me to start making some, some there.
- 41:09They will be FOIA requests for the documents that were listed
- 41:14in that motion. And then there will probably be
- 41:16a sunshine request for the state medical examiner.
- 41:19Let's, let's remember to do that as we continue our coverage of
- 41:23this case cabling. We should, we shouldn't have to
- 41:29pay for these documents. It should be public record with
- 41:31no fee. Amen.
- 41:33Amen. But no, it's not the case in
- 41:39almost any jurisdiction. You have to pay for them in the
- 41:42state of Pennsylvania. Oh my goodness.
- 41:45The right to know law is the worst law in the nation.
- 41:48Pennsylvania's right to know law is the worst and so, so, so
- 41:54expensive. Let's see from Sandra, Thank you
- 41:59for the Super chat. I just don't get why he's not in
- 42:01custody now that he's being charged as an adult.
- 42:04DOJ requested his custody yesterday and he's still walking
- 42:08free. Sandra.
- 42:10Yeah, we're going to get to it. We're going to get to it.
- 42:12We got I'm. I'm definitely getting there.
- 42:15OK. Thank you very much.
- 42:18Let's see. Affordable.
- 42:23I'm Angie, a Ford Sable. Oh, I I like affordable better,
- 42:30but OK, lol. But you are very appreciated and
- 42:34your viewers are not mean or little cuckoo and other
- 42:36channels. Thanks for what you do.
- 42:38We all appreciate you. Yet we have got the classiest
- 42:42viewers and all of YouTube right here on this very channel.
- 42:47And I'm glad Angie a Ford Sable that that you recognize that.
- 42:53And it's it's really because of my amazing, amazing moderators.
- 43:00Okie, dokie whoo, let's let's keep it there for now and let's
- 43:04move to the next document. Let's see, we, we just did this
- 43:08motion for transfer the case to adult status.
- 43:14Let's go to this document from the 3rd of this month, the 3rd
- 43:24of April. This is the sealed unopposed
- 43:28motion to modify conditions of release.
- 43:32Remember, he is a free person. And this was let's see, I think
- 43:39maybe the order probably it doesn't matter, doesn't matter
- 43:48the timing. Let's just let's just go through
- 43:50this. This is a six page document.
- 43:52Let me let me see if there's any background.
- 43:57We we probably won't need to read this entire document, but
- 44:00this was a sealed unopposed motion to modify conditions of
- 44:04release. The defendant, Mr. Timothy
- 44:07Hudson, buy in through undersigned counsel,
- 44:10respectfully submits this unopposed motion to temporarily
- 44:14modify the conditions of his release and states in support of
- 44:18the following. On February 3rd, Mr. Hudson made
- 44:22his initial appearance on an information charging acts of
- 44:25juvenile delinquency, which we all know about.
- 44:28Right after hearing the testimony of FBI Special Agent
- 44:33Andrew Del Valle or Del Valle and the arguments of both
- 44:39parties, Magistrate Judge Torres Torres entered a release order.
- 44:45That order requires that Mister Hudson be released to the
- 44:49custody and home of his uncle Devin Zisk or Ziski or Ziski, I
- 44:54don't know who is serving as a third party custodian.
- 44:59Mr. Hudson must reside in Mr. Ziski's home under the
- 45:03supervision of an adult. The order further permits TH Mr.
- 45:07Hudson to leave the home at Mr. Ziski's direction and in his
- 45:11custody. Hudson may not be alone with
- 45:15anyone under the age of 18 unless he is supervised by Mr.
- 45:19Ziski or another adult, which would mean he wouldn't be alone
- 45:22while on release, Mr. Hudson is subject to GPS monitoring.
- 45:27Lastly, the release order provides that Mister Hudson must
- 45:30comply with the orders of the family Court presiding over his
- 45:34parents custody case and alert pretrial services to any
- 45:38modifications of the custody sharing arrangements.
- 45:41By the way, one of the only ways that we knew about his Mr.
- 45:51Hudson being charged in this is because of that custody case.
- 45:56It's, it's public in Florida. Florida is a very transparent
- 45:59state and we got several pieces of information out of that.
- 46:04OK. Mr. Hudson now requests a
- 46:07temporary modification of the release order to accommodate his
- 46:10uncle. Mr. Ziski's anticipated travel
- 46:12from April 8th to the 13th, 2026, ending yesterday to attend
- 46:17a church retreat with his son. During the days of Mr. Ziski's
- 46:21planned travel, Mr. Hudson would continue to reside at Mr.
- 46:25Ziski's home in the temporary custody of Mr. Ziski's wife,
- 46:28Sarah. Mr. Hudson would be permitted to
- 46:33accompany his father, Thomas Hudson, to work between the
- 46:36hours of approximately 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM on April 8th through
- 46:4110th. The elder Mr. Hudson works as a
- 46:43supervisor for Landscaping Take Two Hobby Company.
- 46:49During his time in his father's care, Mr. Hudson would not have
- 46:53contact with any minors. Mr. Hudson's father would then
- 46:57return him to the Ziski home in the evening.
- 47:00He would remain at the Ziski home in Miss Ziski's custody on
- 47:04April 11th through 13th when Mr. Ziski returns.
- 47:07All other conditions set forth in the current release order
- 47:09would remain unchanged. They conferred with AUSA.
- 47:15The government did not oppose. So, yeah.
- 47:21So that gave us a little bit of information of what his release
- 47:24order is. GPS monitoring, has to be with
- 47:26his uncle, cannot be with minors, has to be, you know, has
- 47:31to be under supervision and probably again because because
- 47:38he was a A minor. So there is that document gave
- 47:46us a little bit more information.
- 47:48OK. This one that I wanted to share
- 47:52with you guys is the order transferring the case to adult
- 47:58prosecution. Remember, we, I mean, just a few
- 48:00minutes ago we read the motion for the order.
- 48:02This is the order. The United States having filed
- 48:08an unopposed motion to transfer case to adult status, and the
- 48:11defendant, Mr. Hudson, a minor, having made a request in writing
- 48:14with the advice of counsel to have the matter transferred to
- 48:17adult status. And this court, having been
- 48:19advised by parties, finds the minor is accused of having
- 48:21committed offenses alleged against him by the US after the
- 48:24age of 15 years, which had they been committed by an adult,
- 48:27would be felonies that are crimes of violence.
- 48:29And the minor, having had the advice of attorneys, understands
- 48:32the USS request to transfer the matter to adult status and
- 48:35understands his right to a Section 5032 hearing where the
- 48:40US would have the burden of proof, blah, blah, blah.
- 48:43The minor has made a knowing and voluntarily written request to
- 48:47have this matter transferred to Adult Prosecution.
- 48:50Consequently, the Court finds that it is in the interest of
- 48:52justice to transfer this matter to Adult prosecution.
- 48:55Therefore, it's ORDERED and ADJUDGED that this matter shall
- 48:58not transfer to Adult Prosecution until either the
- 49:02prior juvenile court records of the minor have been received by
- 49:04the court or the clerk of the Juvenile Court has certified in
- 49:07writing that the minor has no prior record or that the minor's
- 49:10record is unavailable and why it's unavailable.
- 49:12Upon receipt of the court of the minors prior juvenile record or
- 49:17the appropriate certification from the clerk of juvenile court
- 49:19as outlined above, that this matter be transferred to adult
- 49:23prosecution and upon this matters transfer to able
- 49:26prosecution, the record in this matter, including all filings
- 49:29and the courts electronic docket be unsealed.
- 49:32That was ordered back in February.
- 49:35All right. This is the last piece that I
- 49:38wanted to review with you guys. I think this is the motion for
- 49:49review and revocation of the order of release pursuant to the
- 49:54Bail Reform Act. And I want to see in the factual
- 49:59background if there's any, there's not tons of factual
- 50:09background. We we've got to get that fact.
- 50:13Hang on a second. Let me open the information
- 50:17file. The information file is just
- 50:23basically, you know what we want Robin and Mooney and Autumn,
- 50:31let's remember in, in Slack to look for the probable cause
- 50:37affidavit. We need to get our hands on
- 50:39that. So I'm not going to read all 14
- 50:42pages here. Just this is the motion for the
- 50:46revocation of his order of release.
- 50:48OK. The US, the United States of
- 50:51America, by and through the undersigned Assistant U.S.
- 50:54District Attorney or United States Attorney, hereby files
- 50:57the instant motion as to the defendant and respectfully
- 51:01requests a review and revocation of the US Magistrate Judge Edwin
- 51:05G Torres's Order of Release previously entered in this
- 51:08matter pursuant to the provisions of Title 18, the
- 51:11Juvenile Delinquency Act, the United States request this
- 51:14review pursuant to the provisions of Title 18, US Code
- 51:183142 and 3145. A1. the US respectfully submits,
- 51:23by the way this was submitted. This was filed with the court
- 51:26yesterday. OK, that the release order
- 51:30should be reviewed and revoked because once this matter
- 51:33transferred to adult prosecution, the JDA Juvenile
- 51:37Delinquency Act no longer applied in adult status.
- 51:41The defendant's detention or release should now be reviewed
- 51:43through the lens of a bail Reform Act and is more fully
- 51:47explained below. Under the Bail Reform Act, the
- 51:49defendant is a danger to others and should be held in pretrial
- 51:53detention. Alternatively, the transfer to
- 51:56adult status is a change in circumstance that recommends a
- 52:00review and revocation of the release order.
- 52:03This is a very normal lawyerly thing to do.
- 52:08Hey, here's argument number one. If that fails, here's argument
- 52:12#2 right? Argument number one is hey,
- 52:15this. This now falls underneath the
- 52:17Bail Reform Act, not the JDA, but if if you find him against
- 52:22me on that one also, there's a status change.
- 52:26So in support of this motion, the US averse as follows.
- 52:33We read this one already, but once again on or about November
- 52:367th, Anna Kepner, an 18 year old female from Titusville, FL was
- 52:40found deceased in the cabin she shared with the defendant, her
- 52:43step sibling and her half sibling on a Carnival Cruise
- 52:47Line ship, Horizon of the Seas, while the ship was on the high
- 52:50seas and route to Miami, FL. The subsequent investigation of
- 52:53Anna Kepner's death resulted in the instant prosecution against
- 52:56the defendant, Mr. Hudson, a 16 year old male.
- 53:00Pursuant to the provisions of the JDA, the US Attorney for the
- 53:03Southern District of Florida first filed an information on
- 53:06February 2nd making allegations of against the defendant for one
- 53:10count of murder in the first degree and one count of
- 53:13aggravated SA, and then on the third he surrendered himself
- 53:20right and was officially arrested.
- 53:25On the same day, the defendant had his initial appearance on
- 53:28the information before Judge Torres plead not guilty to the
- 53:32allegations containing information.
- 53:34The defendant also demanded discovery and the Magistrate
- 53:37Court entered the standard discovery order in the matter.
- 53:43Additionally, on February 6th, a detention hearing was held and
- 53:47upon the government's request the defendant be detained for
- 53:50dangerousness, the defendant requested the Magistrate Court
- 53:53also conduct A probable cause hearing.
- 53:55After the detention hearing, Judge Torres found there was
- 53:59probable cause for the alleged charges but denied the
- 54:01government's request for detention.
- 54:03As a result, the Magistrate Court released the defendant to
- 54:06the custody of a family member with various conditions which we
- 54:09read about at the JDA detention hearing.
- 54:12Judge Torres also stated the government could ask to revisit
- 54:15the defendants release status should this court transfer the
- 54:17matter to adult status. And then there was an order on
- 54:21February 26th and a written request to transfer the case,
- 54:26which it was. Pursuant to the transfer order,
- 54:32the US filed certifications for the Juvenile Court of Clerks of
- 54:36Miami-Dade and Brevard Counties on March 10th.
- 54:40Furthermore, on March 10th, 12 days after the court's transfer
- 54:43order, a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Florida
- 54:46issued A superseding indictment charging the defendant with one
- 54:49count of murder in the first degree and one count of
- 54:52Aggravated Essay. On the 8th of April, after a
- 54:55hearing, Magistrate Judge Torres found the proper certifications
- 54:58had been filed with the court. Thus, Judge Torres transferred,
- 55:01ordered the transfer to Adult Prosecution be finalized in the
- 55:04matter, and further unsealed the docket.
- 55:06As a result, on April 10th, 2026, this matter was formally
- 55:10transferred to Adult Prosecution.
- 55:14Consequently, consistent with Magistrate Judge Torres's
- 55:18pronouncement and pursuant to US Code, the US requests that the
- 55:23Release Order be reviewed and revoked.
- 55:25Moreover, as fully discussed below on page 13, the Government
- 55:29also requests the status conference regarding the
- 55:31scheduling of a hearing about this motion be held.
- 55:34Let me see, I, I don't know that we need to really get into the
- 55:38memorandum of law. Basically they're saying, hey,
- 55:41we, this is adult court. We need, we need bond, we need
- 55:46to have a bond hearing and we don't really need to get into
- 55:49that. Let me see if there's anything
- 55:50else that we want to get into. I want to get down to page 13
- 55:56just a little bit. The government's request.
- 55:58The government therefore respectfully request this court
- 56:01order and conduct a review or revocation of the release order
- 56:04under the provisions of the Bail Reform Act.
- 56:07The government further request this court set this matter for a
- 56:09status conference in order to schedule a hearing regarding the
- 56:12instant motion. The status conference is
- 56:15necessary for the government to coordinate the attendance of the
- 56:18case agents and for the defendant to coordinate his
- 56:21travel to the Southern District of Florida with his attorneys
- 56:25and custodial family member for any subsequent hearing on the
- 56:28motion. Man, I would hate to be his
- 56:29uncle. So much stuff.
- 56:33Let's see. In accordance with Local Rule
- 56:3588.9, the Government has conferred with opposing counsel
- 56:38about the motion. Assistant Public Defenders Eric
- 56:41Cohen, Abigail Becker, and Evan Cool have stated their position
- 56:45as follows. If the Court is inclined to
- 56:47grant the Government's request for a status conference, counsel
- 56:50for minor TH request that this matter be referred to Magistrate
- 56:55Judge Torres to conduct a consolidated arraignment and
- 56:58status conference and then to schedule a hearing to determine
- 57:01whether Mr. Hudson should continue on release with
- 57:04appropriate conditions or be detained pending resolution of
- 57:06the instant case. As Magistrate Judge Torres
- 57:09presided over the initial bond hearing here and set the current
- 57:12conditions of release, he is familiar with the facts
- 57:14supporting the Government's request for detention.
- 57:17The parties therefore anticipate that little, if any, additional
- 57:20evidence will need to be presented at that hearing.
- 57:22The parties agree that Mister Hudson should remain at liberty
- 57:25pending Magistrate Judge Torres's decision concerning the
- 57:29release. So wherefore the government
- 57:33respectfully request that the Court grant this instant motion
- 57:35and set a status conference and schedule a subsequent hearing on
- 57:39the motion. And that is from Mr. Quinones,
- 57:43United States Attorney. And I think that's, that's it
- 57:47there. So that was filed or filed with
- 57:50the court and published to the court yesterday.
- 57:54I'll, I'll go into pacer and check from time to time.
- 57:58I, I don't expect this will happen quickly, right?
- 58:01Over the next couple of weeks this will happen.
- 58:04We'll probably get some information on a hearing that is
- 58:08going to be held. Let's now go on over to your
- 58:14conversation over in the live chat.
- 58:17Let's see if there's anything you guys want me to see.
- 58:28Let's see. Jenny.
- 58:30Jenny, thank you very much for upgrading your membership to
- 58:32Super Fanatic. That is awesome.
- 58:34Thank you for doing that. And I need to give you guys more
- 58:36stuff for being members. It's mostly my appreciation.
- 58:40I got to do videos. I got to do.
- 58:41I got to do stuff cabling says Gavin, this kid needs to be in
- 58:47jail. Did they ask for his arrest?
- 58:49That this is what we're taught. Yeah.
- 58:51I mean, I know that you asked this before I read all that, but
- 58:54that's what's, that's what's happening there.
- 58:58Let's see, Barb says. What does something like this do
- 59:01to the relationship between their parents?
- 59:03How does their relationship go on?
- 59:05Oh, I do not know. I do not know because this is a
- 59:09blended family right there. There are siblings from both
- 59:14sides. And then there I, I think are
- 59:16half siblings, right. So it's.
- 59:21Yeah, I, I don't know how I could.
- 59:25I, I don't know. That's tough.
- 59:29Great. Great comment.
- 59:32Hey, Sandra, Thank you very much for sending gift memberships.
- 59:36That is amazing. You are amazing.
- 59:39Cabling says just arrest him. He killed her and is now old
- 59:42enough to stand trial by way of the court.
- 59:43Then what are we all waiting on? We're waiting on due process.
- 59:47That's really what it boils down to.
- 59:51Yeah. Thanks, Jenny.
- 59:52You are awesome. You are awesome.
- 59:56So guys, that is our update on the Anna Kettner case.
- 1:00:00Remember that there is so much more.

- 1:00:17purchased and and posted here and hopefully.
- 1:00:25Oh, looks like a they're a little out of order.
- 1:00:27I up I uploaded them in order, but they're a little out of
- 1:00:30order, but they're all there. OK, so go and grab those and if
- 1:00:36you see anything in those documents that I may miss that
- 1:00:40you think that we should cover here on the channel, Please,
- 1:00:44please, please get in touch with me through the website
- 1:00:48gavinfish.com. Click on the little click on
- 1:00:51this little icon right here that will take you to a page where
- 1:00:54you can contact me little envelope and let me know.
- 1:00:58I very much would like to know if I miss anything and let's see
- 1:01:04if there are any other comments on this before we move on.
- 1:01:06We still got we're we're an hour and 4 minutes into this Gavin
- 1:01:09Javi, we're going long man wander you OK in there?
- 1:01:12You got water got water. How about you Javi?
- 1:01:14Good. Everything's good.
- 1:01:16Air conditioning is working OK. We're good.
- 1:01:17We're good. Debbie, thank you very much.
- 1:01:22My goodness. Another super chat to help you
- 1:01:24buy more documents. You're awesome with your smooth
- 1:01:27velvet voice. I, I credit my parents for my
- 1:01:32voice. I have my dad's register and my
- 1:01:34mom's timber. And I think it's AI think it's
- 1:01:39I, I mean, I don't like listening to my own voice, but
- 1:01:42most people like the combination.
- 1:01:44So thank you very much. I will pass your compliments on
- 1:01:48to my parents for both. For both, what they contributed
- 1:01:54to my voice. I wonder about.
- 1:01:56I have two other brothers and I have two sisters.
- 1:01:59There are five of us. I think the one that I talked to
- 1:02:05the most is my oldest sister probably.
- 1:02:07And she has a beautiful kind of an Alto voice, same kind of
- 1:02:11tambour as my mom too. I need to I I should pay him
- 1:02:15closer attention. I bet we've all got kind of fun
- 1:02:18voices. My mom's got this tambour.
- 1:02:20This is a bit of a tangent. I'm going to allow it.
- 1:02:24I'm going to allow it. Man, that is a dramatic tangent,
- 1:02:40Stinger. I don't even remember what I was
- 1:02:44going to tangent on. Oh, my mom, my mom has this
- 1:02:48voice that is uniquely her. And I know that all children
- 1:02:52recognize the voice of their mother, right?
- 1:02:55But my mom's voice is so uniquely her.
- 1:02:58It feels, it sounds like she has like an extra couple folds in
- 1:03:04her vocal folds. It, it just feels like she's got
- 1:03:09multiple air passages going through there and the, the
- 1:03:14tambour is just rich and and beautiful and she doesn't like
- 1:03:18to, she doesn't like the spotlight, never did.
- 1:03:22But she would hum and sing around the house as she was
- 1:03:25doing, you know, her things around the house and beautiful
- 1:03:30voice, beautiful, rich, luscious, thick voice that she,
- 1:03:38she just didn't really like to, to share all that much.
- 1:03:42Elizabeth, thank you very much for your super chat.
- 1:03:45People are asking for my, my faux cheesecake recipe, which
- 1:03:52really isn't mine. I mean, I've tweaked it a little
- 1:03:54bit. I, I got it off a TikTok of all
- 1:03:56places. I, I will try to remember to
- 1:03:59share that in the tank. It's delicious and high in
- 1:04:04protein and low in calories the way I make it because I don't
- 1:04:06sweeten it with, with sugar or honey, though I have and it's
- 1:04:11delicious or like Maple syrup. I I do 0 calorie sweetener and I
- 1:04:16think it's a good taste. So so it lowers the the calories
- 1:04:20all come from protein and a little fiber.
- 1:04:25It's really, really good. But thank you very much for
- 1:04:29that. Debbie says, Gavin, can you
- 1:04:32sing? I have been known to sing.
- 1:04:35I wouldn't. I wouldn't say that I've got the
- 1:04:38best voice in the world. But having grown up performing
- 1:04:45and in choirs and stuff like that, yes, I enjoy singing.
- 1:04:49I've got I've got a bass voice. I do get up into the baritone
- 1:04:55registers, but, and I actually used to have a pretty broad
- 1:05:01range where I could, I could sing first or second tenor.
- 1:05:04The problem is in my age, my hearing, I just can't hear.
- 1:05:09I just can't hear in that frequency range, in the tenor
- 1:05:12frequency range. It's like it's mute there.
- 1:05:15So, so yeah. And also because I'm out of
- 1:05:19practice, my, my range isn't, isn't very wide.
- 1:05:23Clarinet girl. Speaking of rich tambours, you
- 1:05:27know that. Oh, yeah, clarinet is a
- 1:05:30beautiful instrument. Anna Kepner has seven siblings,
- 1:05:34including step siblings. Thank you for that.
- 1:05:37Cabling says you're a great podcaster.
- 1:05:39Your voice is soothing. Thank you very much.
- 1:05:42Sandra says. As much as I love cheesecake, I
- 1:05:44paid good money to get a hold of what you eat these days to get
- 1:05:47back your youthful glow. Oh, I can tell you.
- 1:05:51I can tell you OK, so I'm these days I eat about 2000 calories a
- 1:06:01day. For those of you who are new
- 1:06:04around here, I started out as fat Gavin.
- 1:06:07I didn't start out as fat Gavin. I was fit, Gavin, for many
- 1:06:11years. And then I got married and
- 1:06:12started having children and didn't exercise and had the
- 1:06:15stress of life and, you know, went through minor and major
- 1:06:20depressive depression. And, you know, over the over the
- 1:06:2426 years that I've been married, I gained a lot of weight.
- 1:06:27I got up to 288 lbs. And last August I said I got to
- 1:06:33say goodbye to fat Gavin. This also is a tangent, crying
- 1:06:37out loud. That was dramatic too.
- 1:06:47That was great. So what I decided to do was what
- 1:06:53needs to be done in order to lose weight, you have to have a
- 1:06:56caloric deficit, right? I wanted maybe to do a GL P1,
- 1:07:02but I didn't want to pay for it. And I thought to myself, you can
- 1:07:06do this. You know what it takes you just.
- 1:07:10And, and when I, when I dedicate myself to something, I, I do a
- 1:07:15pretty darn good job of it, especially if there's going to
- 1:07:18be public embarrassment if I fail.
- 1:07:19So step one was recognize you got to say goodbye to fat Gavin.
- 1:07:24Step 2, tell your audience on YouTube you're going to say
- 1:07:29goodbye to Fat Gavin. Therefore that way, like if you
- 1:07:33fail, it's going to hurt because I, I just hate failure.
- 1:07:37Public failure is the worst for me.
- 1:07:40It's a major motivator. So I told you all, this is what
- 1:07:43I'm going to do. And then there are two ways to
- 1:07:48do a caloric deficit and you can either eat fewer calories or
- 1:07:55burn more calories. The best way to do it is a
- 1:07:59combination of those two things. So you start to get active, you
- 1:08:03start to exercise. You don't have to go crazy.
- 1:08:06You just you just get active and then and then eat fewer
- 1:08:10calories. Now in my case, I decided I was
- 1:08:13going to, I was going to crash my calorie count because I had
- 1:08:18so much stored fat. So I went down to 1100 calories
- 1:08:23a day. And and then, you know, as, and
- 1:08:29then I started working out and as I started feeling, hey, you
- 1:08:32need more calories in order to sustain your activity level, I
- 1:08:35brought up my Clark intake. Now I'm at about 2000 calories a
- 1:08:38day. OK, I am a creature of habit.
- 1:08:41So this is what I do for breakfast.
- 1:08:43For breakfast, I do scrambled egg whites with lots of salt and
- 1:08:47pepper. I hate eggs.
- 1:08:49I do not like eggs at all. They are gross to me.
- 1:08:53But I can stand egg whites if there's lots of salt and pepper
- 1:08:57and I don't have any like family heart issues.
- 1:09:01So sodium isn't a real concern for me.
- 1:09:04In fact, you know, I, I felt like I needed more sodium
- 1:09:09because I was drinking more water.
- 1:09:10I wanted to hold on to to that hydrate my muscles while I was
- 1:09:13working out. So lots of salt and pepper on my
- 1:09:17scrambled egg whites. And then one of the very few
- 1:09:22processed foods that I give myself is ketchup because I love
- 1:09:27ketchup. And so I put some ketchup on
- 1:09:29there to cover up the taste. I don't like eggs, but I eat 180
- 1:09:34grams of egg whites with salt and pepper with 30 grams of
- 1:09:40Heinz ketchup every morning along with that.
- 1:09:44So 180 grams of egg whites is the equivalent of four or five
- 1:09:47eggs, The whites of those eggs, right.
- 1:09:50OK, then along with breakfast. My breakfast is big.
- 1:09:55It's like 800 calories. I do a an approximation of a
- 1:10:02dessert that my mom used to make for special occasions like
- 1:10:05Thanksgiving and Christmas. What she did was she would put
- 1:10:10cottage cheese and I'm sure she did full fat cottage cheese with
- 1:10:15equal parts like Cool Whip and then a package of gelatin like
- 1:10:23flavored strawberry, lime, Raspberry, whatever jello in
- 1:10:27there. She'd mix it up, put some
- 1:10:29pineapple chunks in there, called it pink salad.
- 1:10:32It was usually pink, even if it was green.
- 1:10:34We called it pink salad. But I was like, well, I, I love
- 1:10:40cottage cheese. I love cottage cheese and you
- 1:10:42can get non fat cottage cheese, right?
- 1:10:45And I like non fat cottage cheese.
- 1:10:46So I got that. And then I discovered if I mix
- 1:10:49in non fat Greek yogurt to the cottage cheese with just a
- 1:10:54little bit of sugar free gelatin, again, that's another
- 1:10:58processed food that I allow myself, right?
- 1:11:00Like very little to put in a little flavor in there.
- 1:11:05It tastes like my mom's pink salad and it's delicious and I
- 1:11:08love it. So I do 200 grams of the cottage
- 1:11:10cheese, 200 grams of the yogurt. I do about 2 1/2 grams of the
- 1:11:15gelatin. And then I put in a full serving
- 1:11:19of chia seeds, which is 36 grams of chia seeds, which adds tons
- 1:11:25of fiber. And I, and you know, it, it
- 1:11:29takes on the moisture and I, and I like it.
- 1:11:31It kind of reminds me of having like strawberries in there
- 1:11:34because of the crispy crunchy. Plus it has that kind of citric
- 1:11:38acid flavor. And then I add in 80 grams of,
- 1:11:43of blueberries. Hope you guys, I don't know if
- 1:11:46you guys care about this. Then I mix that all up.
- 1:11:49So I've got 2 bowls. I've got my egg whites and I've
- 1:11:51got my pink salad and that's what I have for breakfast.
- 1:11:55Then sometime between breakfast and lunch, I usually have a
- 1:11:58snack. Now I need more fiber, so I have
- 1:12:04popcorn. I have like 50 grams of popcorn
- 1:12:08and I do it full salt, full Sandman movie theater style
- 1:12:12popcorn because I love movie theater style popcorn.
- 1:12:15But I do 50 grams of it and that is like that.
- 1:12:18That's a lot of popcorn. OK, but it gives me lots of
- 1:12:21fiber, gives me lots of carbs, gives me lots of sodium too.
- 1:12:26But it's OK because again, no heart issues and I wouldn't do
- 1:12:31this if I had a family history of heart problems, you know,
- 1:12:34high blood pressure and stuff like that.
- 1:12:35I don't. So I do that snack.
- 1:12:40Then for dinner, which is usually early, I do chicken
- 1:12:46breast, usually around 200 grams of grilled chicken breast,
- 1:12:50sometimes baked chicken breast. I have two different ways that I
- 1:12:53make it, so 200 grams of that. I usually do either 250 grams of
- 1:13:01whole corn kernel, yellow corn with some salt.
- 1:13:05I don't put butter on it because I love the taste of corn.
- 1:13:07I don't need butter or I do a different starch.
- 1:13:12I do skin on baked potatoes sometimes roasted potatoes, same
- 1:13:17amount, 200, two, 150 grams, which is a lot, right?
- 1:13:21Gives me lots of carbs, but it's also satiating, right?
- 1:13:25And it gives me fiber, which is great.
- 1:13:27And then I usually have about 100 grams of a green vegetable
- 1:13:32that can be asparagus, that can be broccoli, that can be peas,
- 1:13:35can be a salad, something like that.
- 1:13:38And then I have another snack later on for my sweet tooth and
- 1:13:44I do that in the form of dark chocolate, 72% dark cacao, 72%
- 1:13:52cacao, dark chocolate. And I might have 40 grams of
- 1:13:56that. And then when you add that all
- 1:13:59up, I'm right around 2000 calories.
- 1:14:01And that's, that's my diet. That's what I, that's what I eat
- 1:14:04in a day. I'm always full.
- 1:14:06I have my salty, I have my sweet.
- 1:14:09And then I try to walk about an hour a day.
- 1:14:15But you know, I, I spent my whole life being fat and out of
- 1:14:18shape. And so, you know, my knees hurt
- 1:14:21some days, my ankles hurt some days I'm not able to get to it
- 1:14:25some days. So if, if I've got a knee
- 1:14:30inflammation issue, I don't do that right.
- 1:14:32I just pay very close attention to my body.
- 1:14:35And then three days a week I lift weights and you know, I do
- 1:14:40a home dumbbell workout and it's very simple.
- 1:14:43It's, it's one day I do pull exercises.
- 1:14:47One day I do push exercises. One day I do leg exercises.
- 1:14:50And again, like sometimes I get like an arthritis inflammation.
- 1:14:54It's actually Bursitis information in my, in my joints,
- 1:14:58my elbows, my knees, OK, I, I can't work out when I'm having a
- 1:15:03Bursitis, you know, incident. I have to, I have to stop, I
- 1:15:08have to give it a couple weeks and I don't get down on myself.
- 1:15:13I, I just give myself time to heal, continue to eat properly
- 1:15:20and, and say, you know what, you're 50 year old man Gavin
- 1:15:24there. You, you just sometimes your
- 1:15:26ankle will hurt. You don't want to aggravate it
- 1:15:28more or sometimes your knees will hurt or your elbows or it's
- 1:15:31usually my joints right. But I've gone since August,
- 1:15:37August 28th, I've gone from 288 lbs to 204 lbs This morning.
- 1:15:43I was £204.00 right? And, and I go up and down like
- 1:15:48I've been, I've been kind of around that 203-204-2052 O 6,
- 1:15:53but the trend continues to go down.
- 1:15:57My original goal was £200. I think that my body still, it's
- 1:16:01much stronger. My chest is bigger, my shoulders
- 1:16:03are bigger, my arms are stronger, but I still think that
- 1:16:07my body is a little too big, still have fat to lose.
- 1:16:10So once I hit 200, I'll celebrate for a minute, give
- 1:16:13myself an attaboy, and then I'm going for 190, and I'll stop
- 1:16:17where my body feels good. So, man, long, long, long
- 1:16:24tangent. I am so sorry.
- 1:16:28All right, What's our next cabling?
- 1:16:33Moms are just moms. We don't put ourselves in the
- 1:16:35spotlights. Not a thing if you're a real
- 1:16:37mom. Yeah, my mom's that way.
- 1:16:40Meredith is a new registered dietitian.
- 1:16:42Oh, Meredith, I hope that I did everything.
- 1:16:44I hope I'm doing everything right and and congratulations,
- 1:16:49Archangel says that pink salad needs a live cooking video.
- 1:16:53I'm thoroughly enjoying your diet meal, says Jenny.
- 1:16:57Robin says I eat oatmeal every morning, but add a scoop of
- 1:17:00vegan protein powder. Yeah, I'm just not, I'm not an
- 1:17:04oatmeal guy. I I I've never liked oatmeal.
- 1:17:06But yeah, clarinet gal saying what are your beverages of
- 1:17:10choice right now? Right now I'm only water and one
- 1:17:14of the things that contributed to my obesity was I drank soda,
- 1:17:19like full, fully leaded Coca-Cola, Pepsi Cola.
- 1:17:23And I've broken myself of that habit.
- 1:17:28I, there will be a time that I'll have a soda again.
- 1:17:33But I think, I think what I'm having to do right now is just
- 1:17:37recognize that I am in the weight loss section of my
- 1:17:40journey. And then for the rest of my
- 1:17:43life, however many more years or days or months, nobody knows
- 1:17:47right, I have left on this planet.
- 1:17:51I maintain my health and that every once in a while will
- 1:17:55include a soda, probably. Oh, by the way, like during
- 1:18:02during holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter,
- 1:18:05I partake. I partake, and then I get on the
- 1:18:10scale and I've gained weight. But you know what?
- 1:18:12I didn't. I'm not, I'm not depressed
- 1:18:16because I missed out on some sort of tradition.
- 1:18:18I just know. OK, well, that put me back a few
- 1:18:21weeks. But what's a few weeks?
- 1:18:23I've got a whole lifetime of this, right?
- 1:18:25Who cares, right? That's what I do.
- 1:18:28I just don't get down on myself. Sandra says walking and swimming
- 1:18:32are considered the fountain of youth no matter where you are on
- 1:18:35your health journey. Thanks for the tips.
- 1:18:37Yeah, thank you, Sandra. And I love swimming, but I don't
- 1:18:40love drying my hair. So when I'm finally done growing
- 1:18:45out my hair and I finally get it cut, which I'm so looking
- 1:18:48forward to, I think I will add swimming into the into the mix
- 1:18:51because with short hair that I've had my whole life, it's not
- 1:18:55that big of a deal. But with long hair, dude, it's a
- 1:18:57pain. It's a pain.
- 1:19:01Are there anything else that I should check?
- 1:19:03Okay, good guys, great comments and thanks for thanks for
- 1:19:07engaging with me on there. We've got what do we have next?
- 1:19:10Let me think about this. Oh yeah.
- 1:19:12Three headlines, three questions. 3 questions.
- 1:19:20OK, in three questions, I answer three of your questions that you
- 1:19:23sent to me at threequestions@gavinfish.com.
- 1:19:26Three questions at gavinfish.com.
- 1:19:28THREE spelled out questions at gavinfish.com.
- 1:19:32I solemnly promise to answer all the questions that I receive.
- 1:19:35Kind of running low on questions, everybody, it's time
- 1:19:38to send them in. Ask me about the mysteries of
- 1:19:41the universe. Ask me about the law.
- 1:19:43Ask me about a case. Ask me about my favorite color.
- 1:19:46I don't even care, but I will answer all the questions.
- 1:19:50I personally love the questions where you guys can answer the
- 1:19:54questions too. I just, I don't know, I really
- 1:19:57enjoy that. So send those into three
- 1:19:59questions at gavinfish.com. Today's first question comes
- 1:20:05from Diane G, who sent in a list of questions a week or two ago.
- 1:20:12Diane asked. Where would you like to be in
- 1:20:14your career five years from now? Well, I hope that I will be
- 1:20:23doing YouTube full time in five years and hopefully I'll be
- 1:20:28doing it on the road a little bit more.
- 1:20:31Hopefully I will be covering trials live.
- 1:20:36You know, like not just live streaming trials, but also being
- 1:20:41there in the courtroom kind of the way Joel does and Gisla does
- 1:20:45and and Josh does. And I hope that I'm doing more
- 1:20:52investigative stuff. Like when I started YouTube and
- 1:20:55I wasn't live streaming everyday, I loved the
- 1:20:58investigative stuff, digging into documents and going to
- 1:21:02courthouses and getting dusty and dirty in basements, getting
- 1:21:06old, you know, exhibits and stuff like that.
- 1:21:11I loved, loved, loved that. I would love to do it again.
- 1:21:16I do hope, I mean, I enjoy the the daily thing, but I do hope
- 1:21:22that there will be a time where it's like expected.
- 1:21:24Gavin is on vacation for a couple weeks.
- 1:21:27I hope, I hope there will be that right.
- 1:21:31And maybe maybe in five years I could have, there might be a
- 1:21:35team right where it's, it's my channel, but every once in a
- 1:21:40while there might be a guest host or or something like that.
- 1:21:44That would be fun. That's that's what I'm hoping.
- 1:21:50Yeah. Great question, Diane.
- 1:21:51Thank you. Question #2 from Kelly, have you
- 1:21:54ever gone swimming in one of the Great Lakes?
- 1:21:56Well, Kelly, I never had until we moved to the Commonwealth of
- 1:22:00Pennsylvania, the Great Lakes. We are right on Lake Erie,
- 1:22:06right? And we have Lake Ontario just
- 1:22:10just up in upstate New York. So I have gone swimming in
- 1:22:16fridge in the frigid chilly waters of Lake Erie at Presque
- 1:22:21Isle in Erie, PAII have dipped my feet into Lake Ontario.
- 1:22:29I have seen Lake MI. I have never seen nor visited
- 1:22:35Lake Superior nor Huron, but I hope to someday.
- 1:22:40Yeah, the Great Lakes are, are astoundingly huge.
- 1:22:44It's so cool. It's it's really cool.
- 1:22:46Like, during windy times up in Erie, there will be surfing on
- 1:22:52Lake Erie there. There are swells big enough to
- 1:22:55go surfing up there. That happens in Lake Tahoe, by
- 1:22:58the way, sometimes, too. All right.
- 1:23:00And question #3 what is your recommendation this from Cindy
- 1:23:05for best crime read fiction or non fiction?
- 1:23:08I had to look this up. Had to look this up.
- 1:23:12OK so I'm not a fiction reader, but I have read Mystic River.
- 1:23:17I love Mystic River. It is by Dennis.
- 1:23:20What is it? Dennis Lehane?
- 1:23:25They made a movie out of it that was really, really good.
- 1:23:28Sad, sad story. And I'm partial to sad stories.
- 1:23:33I, I don't know, I, it's, I don't know.
- 1:23:36I just, I like the, I like the tragedy.
- 1:23:39I like tragedies. And maybe it makes life feel
- 1:23:43more colorful because you can see less tragedy in real life
- 1:23:50when you're entertained by such such, such tragedy.
- 1:23:53So Mystic River, I guess, is one that IA fiction piece that I
- 1:23:56would suggest. And then my favorite all time
- 1:24:00favorite nonfiction book in the true crime genre is I'll Be Gone
- 1:24:04in the Dark, Michelle McNamara's amazing piece that led to the
- 1:24:12Golden State killer's capture. And I don't care if what anybody
- 1:24:14says, it was Michelle McNamara. Now, there are people that were
- 1:24:20important, that worked on that case, so many important people.
- 1:24:24But I I put that squarely on the shoulders of Michelle McNamara
- 1:24:30for keeping interest in the case for getting Speaking of
- 1:24:34investigative work, crying out loud, she did such good work and
- 1:24:39and indeed coined the the term Golden State Killer.
- 1:24:44Definitely read I'll be gone in the dark.
- 1:24:46I love it. And I want to hear your book
- 1:24:48recommendations as well and send your questions into three
- 1:24:52questions at gavinfish.com. Three questions at
- 1:24:54gavinfish.com. I need more questions, guys.
- 1:24:57I'm running out of questions. And while you answer, while you
- 1:25:03give me your answers to your Take Two hobby Take 2, while you
- 1:25:09give me your answers to these questions, let's get into some
- 1:25:13headlines, crime headlines. Okey Dokey.
- 1:25:25This is from kvoa.com. There are a couple of cases,
- 1:25:29obviously, that we keep our eye on, this being the Nancy Guthrie
- 1:25:34case written by Marissa Orr for kvoa.com Headline reads Day 72
- 1:25:42of Nancy Guthrie case Neighborhood patrols increase
- 1:25:45after YouTube harassing complaints What?
- 1:25:52Who could this be? Who?
- 1:25:55What YouTube could be in Nancy Guthrie's neighborhood and be
- 1:26:03according to neighbors harassing them?
- 1:26:06How could it be? Dateline Tucson?
- 1:26:08It has been 72 days since the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.
- 1:26:12As the Certs search continues for the 84 year old, there's an
- 1:26:16update regarding an increase in patrols due to YouTube harassing
- 1:26:21complaints. News for Tucson has learned that
- 1:26:25the Pima County Sheriff's Department attended a recent
- 1:26:28homeowners association meeting in Guthrie's Catalina Foothills
- 1:26:31neighborhood. At the meeting, some of the
- 1:26:34neighbors complained about a YouTube harassing residents in
- 1:26:38the area. PCSD confirmed that they have
- 1:26:41also received similar complaints from Guthrie's daughter Annie in
- 1:26:45relation to her neighborhood. The department has increased
- 1:26:49patrols in both areas due to those complaints.
- 1:26:53And then the investigation remains ongoing, and Sheriff
- 1:26:55Chris Nanos said his team, along with the FBI, is working through
- 1:26:59a large amount of DNA evidence and are still waiting on key lab
- 1:27:03results. Nano stated advances in science
- 1:27:06could soon help break apart mixed DNA samples, making it
- 1:27:09possible to identify multiple contributors as they wait on
- 1:27:13results. The focus is on piercing
- 1:27:15together thousands of clues already collected and combing
- 1:27:18through camera footage submitted.
- 1:27:20And it, yeah, just, you know, if you have tips, call the FBI.
- 1:27:29There is $102,500 reward plus $1,000,000 reward from the
- 1:27:35Guthrie's. Call 88, crime.
- 1:27:38Call 1800, Call FBI. But yeah, we've got a YouTube
- 1:27:43allegedly harassing neighbors in the Catalina Foothills
- 1:27:48neighborhood. What a dill hole.
- 1:27:57Come on, man, be better than that.
- 1:27:59OK? We've got an update on Amy
- 1:28:04Hilliard. Amy Hilliard is a 52 year old
- 1:28:08business owner. She owns a coffee shop in the
- 1:28:11Bay Area, one in Oakland, one in San Francisco, and she has gone
- 1:28:15missing. She is still missing.
- 1:28:18And this article comes to us from the San Francisco
- 1:28:21Chronicle. Chronicle written by David
- 1:28:23Hernandez today. Family of missing Oakland coffee
- 1:28:29shop owner offers $10,000 reward The family of Amy Hilliard, the
- 1:28:35beloved coffee shop owner who disappeared in Oakland last
- 1:28:39month, announced on Monday a $10,000 reward for any
- 1:28:41information that leads to her safe return quote.
- 1:28:45We truly believe someone out there has seen Amy, may know
- 1:28:48where she is or has information that could help bring her home,
- 1:28:51her husband, Chris Hilliard said in a statement.
- 1:28:54That might be on the Bring Amy home.
- 1:28:57Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's a video.
- 1:29:04Maybe we should. Let's watch the video.
- 1:29:07Good. Afternoon.
- 1:29:08I'm Chris Hilliard. Let me Amy Hilliard.
- 1:29:11Hold on, let me turn this up for you guys.
- 1:29:15Turn it up as loud as I can. OK?
- 1:29:17Let me start it over. This is a minute and 24 seconds
- 1:29:20long. Good afternoon.
- 1:29:23I'm Chris Hilliard, Amy Hilliard's husband, and Amy's
- 1:29:27been missing for two weeks. We're doing this video now to
- 1:29:31help our efforts in bringing Amy home.
- 1:29:35Amy's superpower is to bring out the best in people.
- 1:29:39She made me a better person. She makes most people she comes
- 1:29:42in contact with a better person. She's able to bring out
- 1:29:46everyone's superpowers. Now we need those powers to
- 1:29:49bring her home. Community is a big part of who
- 1:29:53Amy is. She loves to bring people
- 1:29:55together. I know the community's out there
- 1:29:58for her now. My daughters and I, of course,
- 1:30:01love Amy unconditionally. We're suffering and we just want
- 1:30:06her to come home. People ask me how I'm managing
- 1:30:10to get through the day, and at times the pain of not having her
- 1:30:13here by my side is unbearable. But I know the community out
- 1:30:18there and all the tireless efforts of all the volunteers
- 1:30:21over 400 is giving me hope and the strength to continue.
- 1:30:26They haven't given up on Amy and neither will we.
- 1:30:29We'd like to thank all of the volunteers, Oakland Police
- 1:30:33Department, Alameda County Sheriff's Office for all their
- 1:30:37efforts. Every day we hold on to hope
- 1:30:40that someone, somewhere, has seen Amy and will help bring Amy
- 1:30:45home. That was from April 8th.
- 1:30:50And then there's this update. We truly believe someone out
- 1:30:56there has seen Amy, May know where she is, or has information
- 1:30:59that could help bring her home. Despite the tireless efforts of
- 1:31:01hundreds of volunteers over the past two weeks, we are still
- 1:31:04searching for answers. The Oakland Police Department
- 1:31:07continues to follow up on leads and we hope this reward
- 1:31:10encourages anyone with information to come forward.
- 1:31:12If you know anything, no matter how small it may seem, please
- 1:31:15contact the Oakland Police Department's Missing Persons
- 1:31:18Unit at 510-238-3641. Your information could make all
- 1:31:23the difference in bringing Amy home.
- 1:31:27So that is the update on Amy Hilliard.
- 1:31:31We got a we want to bring her home a couple more.
- 1:31:36This one in the prosecution of Tyler Robinson, the man accused
- 1:31:40of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is
- 1:31:49written by our pal Michael Ruiz. The defense of Charlie Kirk's
- 1:31:54accused assassin Tyler Robinson is expected to call on an expert
- 1:31:58witness who also worked for Brian Koburger's legal team at
- 1:32:02Friday's hearing on their motion to kick news cameras out of the
- 1:32:05courtroom, According to court filings. california-based trial
- 1:32:09consultant Brian Edelman, who has a PhD in social psychology,
- 1:32:13conducted a telephone survey for the defense and reported his
- 1:32:17findings on March 13th. Quote.
- 1:32:19It is Doctor Edelman's opinion that the modern Internet and
- 1:32:22social media ecosystem, especially algorithmic curation
- 1:32:26and personalization, has fundamentally altered how news
- 1:32:30is consumed and makes local high profile publicity substantially
- 1:32:34harder to avoid for residents of the locality where the events
- 1:32:38giving rise to the case occurred and the case is being tried.
- 1:32:42close quote, Robinson's attorneys wrote in a filing last
- 1:32:44week. Adelman's testimony is expected
- 1:32:47to delve into pretrial publicity and public opinion connected to
- 1:32:50the case against Robinson, who faces the potential DP if
- 1:32:54convicted of aggravated murder and Kirk's shooting death.
- 1:32:58For me, guys, my opinion on this is that Vladir Voidier is the
- 1:33:05answer to all of this. I'm telling you, we all live in
- 1:33:09a bubble, a true crime bubble, and the average everyday person
- 1:33:15just isn't paying attention to this.
- 1:33:19So, yeah, through Voidier getting a big enough jury pool
- 1:33:26impaneled, they will be able to get enough fair jurors.
- 1:33:33I, I just, I, I mean, it's the defense's job to vigorously
- 1:33:38defend their client, do everything they can to do so.
- 1:33:41And I completely respect and love that.
- 1:33:44But I don't think it's going to work.
- 1:33:45OK, Last piece of true crime news, this from LA magazine
- 1:33:50written by Lauren Conlon Burke. Family subpoenas remain in
- 1:33:55limbo, this having to do with Celeste Rivas Hernandez.
- 1:33:59Nearly two months ago, a Texas court paused orders that would
- 1:34:03have forced the family of singer David Burke, known
- 1:34:05professionally as David, to testify in a California grand
- 1:34:09jury investigation tied to the death of 14 year old Celeste
- 1:34:12Rivas Hernandez. Now their attorney, Kent
- 1:34:16Schaefer tells Los Angeles the magazine there has been no
- 1:34:21update the Burke family. What is it?
- 1:34:25Dawood, Colleen and Caleb Burke initially filed petitions for
- 1:34:33writ of habeas corpus in Texas in an effort to block subpoenas
- 1:34:36compelling them to testify in California.
- 1:34:39A Texas appellate court denied those petitions, rejecting
- 1:34:42arguments that the order violated their due process
- 1:34:45rights. However, on February 25th,
- 1:34:48Schaefer confirmed with Los Angeles Magazine that the Court
- 1:34:50of Criminal Appeals granted their motion to stay the lower
- 1:34:53court's order. The case is currently pending in
- 1:34:56the Court of Criminal Appeals. With nearly two months having
- 1:35:00passed, Los Angeles Magazine followed up with Schaefer for an
- 1:35:04update. He confirmed that there has been
- 1:35:05no news, leaving the subpoena fight in limbo.
- 1:35:10If the Court of Criminal Appeals ultimately denies the writ, the
- 1:35:13subpoenas could. Subpoenas could be enforced,
- 1:35:16requiring the Burke family to testify before a California
- 1:35:19grand jury. Legal experts have confirmed
- 1:35:21that criminal grand juries in Los Angeles can sit for extended
- 1:35:24periods, often up to a year, meaning the window for testimony
- 1:35:28remains open. And it's not over yet.
- 1:35:35Now, Wanda, we are going to need from you a little transition
- 1:35:42music. Now that we're we're finished,
- 1:35:44everybody we can take a deep breath.
- 1:35:46We're finished. We now are going to get into a
- 1:35:51little good news. Wanda hit us with some
- 1:35:54transition music. Let's hear.
- 1:35:59Yeah, that was so good. Wanda.
- 1:36:08I well, the the window into her sound booth.
- 1:36:12I can't see all of the pedals she has on the ground, but man,
- 1:36:17the the the effects that you put on that guitar.
- 1:36:22Wanda, that was amazing. I don't know.
- 1:36:27Can we have one more? you feel it?
- 1:36:48Oh, I can feel it. Wanda, My goodness that you go
- 1:36:54from grunge to a power ballad. That was amazing.
- 1:36:57Wanda's our music director, everybody.
- 1:36:59She does a terrific job. And that that got me.
- 1:37:01I'm I'm ready for the happy news.
- 1:37:04I'm ready for good news. And this is a good one.
- 1:37:07Everybody, this coming to us from people Beach cleanup
- 1:37:12volunteers find rare sea turtle among 10,000 pieces of trash.
- 1:37:17We've got 2. We've got 2 facets of this.
- 1:37:20We've got we've got people out volunteering, cleaning up a
- 1:37:23beach, finding a whole bunch of trash and saving a rare turtle.
- 1:37:28Let's go on. Written by Adam England
- 1:37:30published today. Volunteers picking up litter in
- 1:37:33Folly Beach, SC found an endangered sea turtle among the
- 1:37:37cigarette butts and cans they set out to collect.
- 1:37:40Thank you volunteers for setting out to collect those things.
- 1:37:43Everybody, let's not put, let's not litter.
- 1:37:46Let's keep our world beautiful. The 5th annual Toby's Earth
- 1:37:50Month Island Wide Spring Litter Cleanup took place in the city
- 1:37:54on Sunday, April 12th with residents, visitors in South
- 1:37:57Carolina Aquarium and local community groups collecting
- 1:37:59pieces of trash from beaches, marshes and streets.
- 1:38:04While sweeping the beach, organizers helped save a
- 1:38:07juvenile Kemp's Ridley seal. There's a sea turtle, not seal,
- 1:38:11Kemp's Ridley sea turtle, that had been hooked by an angler on
- 1:38:15the Folly Beach Fishing Pier. The turtle was raised from the
- 1:38:20water using a drop net, Dave Miller of Folly Beach Turtle
- 1:38:23Watch told WCSCTV. It was hooked in the mouth, but
- 1:38:26the hook readily became disengaged.
- 1:38:29The angler was sure that all hooks were accounted for and no
- 1:38:32hooks had been swallowed. If a hook had been swallowed,
- 1:38:35the turtle would have been transported to the Sea Turtle
- 1:38:37Care Center, Miller added. As well as the turtle, over
- 1:38:4110,000 pieces of litter were collected in just two hours.
- 1:38:45Quote. What we do is born of our love
- 1:38:47for the ocean and our love for the environment, Sarah Butler,
- 1:38:50executive directory director of surf therapy nonprofit Waves for
- 1:38:54Women, told the network, continuing the quote.
- 1:38:57You can't rely on others, or somebody else will do it, or
- 1:38:59it'll happen at a different time, or it doesn't matter.
- 1:39:01It does matter, Butler continued.
- 1:39:04It matters now just like it mattered 10 years ago, and it's
- 1:39:07going to matter 10 years from now.
- 1:39:09And 100 years from now, the turtle they rescued belongs to
- 1:39:14the smallest and most endangered species of sea turtle, said
- 1:39:18Miller. He added that the turtle was the
- 1:39:20beach's first stranding of the 2026 season, noting that it's
- 1:39:24quite rare to see the species in South Carolina quote.
- 1:39:27They primarily nest on beaches in the Gulf of Mexico, he added.
- 1:39:32They nest in large groups together and are the only sea
- 1:39:35turtle that nest during the day. Rising sea temperatures have
- 1:39:39expanded the turtles range, which has left them vulnerable
- 1:39:43to cold, shocking events when the weather changes, according
- 1:39:45to Smithsonian Magazine, one was found washed up on a beach in
- 1:39:50Texas last month, with the Gulf Center for Sea Turtle Research
- 1:39:53revealing that she was being treated for severe pneumonia and
- 1:39:56associated ocular ulcers. So hey, good people out doing
- 1:40:02good things, saving little good turtles.
- 1:40:04That are that are swimming around in the warm waters of
- 1:40:07South Carolina making their way. I just love people.
- 1:40:12I just love people. Good on you people.
- 1:40:15Let's finish up with a couple of comments, see if you guys have
- 1:40:18anything that you want me to add to to the thing.
