• 0:41
SPEAKER_00: I mean, we're gonna have to, we're gonna have to get the the picture updated this year, the logo.
• 0:45
SPEAKER_00: So it's a lot of expense with that.
• 0:47
SPEAKER_00: There's a lot people have come to know that logo as the big team published.
• 0:51
SPEAKER_00: We'll just have to eat in some of our profitability to upgrade last year and kind of.
• 0:55
SPEAKER_01: I mean, we'll have to give up some of our salary and get that fixed.
• 0:57
SPEAKER_01: Sure, you get Chat GPT it.
• 0:58
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 0:59
  SPEAKER_01: Oh.
• 0:59
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 1:00
  SPEAKER_01: Oh.
• 1:01
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 1:01
  SPEAKER_01: I like that.
• 1:02
  SPEAKER_00: Good idea.
• 1:03
  SPEAKER_00: Hey.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_00: Well, we're here every Thursday for all things Bentonville Business Bourbon.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_00: And Jim brought a bottle today.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but Penelope Project X.
• 1:10
SPEAKER_00: It looked a little bit interesting.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_00: Is that from Guess Who?
• 1:13
SPEAKER_00: Shout out to Guess Yano.
• 1:14
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 1:15
SPEAKER_00: Shout out to Jamie at Guess Who.
• 1:16
SPEAKER_00: But um let's let's uh break this open and see what we can.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_00: This is what is Penelope?
• 1:21
  SPEAKER_00: Penelope is right.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_02: I'm not a big Penelope guy, but I'm gonna try this.
• 1:26
  SPEAKER_02: Is it?
• 1:27
  SPEAKER_02: It smells good.
• 1:29
SPEAKER_02: They're toasted is very good.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_02: They have to think they have like a Valencia or something.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_02: So what makes it Project X?
• 1:36
  SPEAKER_02: I wish I could tell you.
• 1:37
  SPEAKER_02: I didn't know.
• 1:38
  SPEAKER_02: Where's Russia on this?
• 1:40
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well I do like that you poured everybody else first.
• 1:42
SPEAKER_00: Matt normally pours himself and then passes the ball.
• 1:45
SPEAKER_02: So Project X is a it's a special barrel finished in cognac test.
• 1:51
SPEAKER_02: It's pushing boundaries, taking risks, and putting innovation above all else.
• 1:56
SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's almost like you wrote that yourself, Bobby.
• 1:59
  SPEAKER_00: Season three.
• 2:00
  SPEAKER_00: Wow.
• 2:01
  SPEAKER_00: Season three, Bobby.
• 2:02
SPEAKER_00: This is why we need Bobby here.
• 2:04
  SPEAKER_00: Bringing the heat.
• 2:04
  SPEAKER_00: Wow.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_00: And you got a B hat today for Blake?
• 2:07
SPEAKER_00: And shout out to our friends.
• 2:09
  SPEAKER_01: Beautiful hat.
• 2:10
  SPEAKER_02: Yes, sir.
• 2:10
  SPEAKER_01: Good looking hat.
• 2:11
  SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
• 2:12
  SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
• 2:12
  SPEAKER_01: It's in like a wine bottle.
• 2:14
  SPEAKER_01: It's in like a wine.
• 2:15
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 2:16
  SPEAKER_01: That's good.
• 2:18
SPEAKER_00: Well, I do have before we start, I do have to read something because oh boy.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_00: Because well, no, no, this is exciting because when you and I got connected, yeah, and one of the cool things we're talking about is you're you're you're the TV celebrity.
• 2:29
  SPEAKER_00: Like cut art.
• 2:30
  SPEAKER_00: No, you're cut artists.
• 2:32
  SPEAKER_00: Because I got we didn't a celebrity.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_01: Well, but you are you are on TV.
• 2:35
  SPEAKER_00: That's true.
• 2:36
SPEAKER_00: Because we did get I did get a note from the guy, Matt, who is the um uh founder of Flyway Brewery.
• 2:42
SPEAKER_00: So he came in and filmed on the campus and he posted uh about our about our podcast.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_00: He said, this was such a cool experience, new friends, Josh and Emily, blah, blah, blah.
• 2:52
SPEAKER_00: He goes, also, Matt Mars is a superstar TV personality on HTTP's Friction or Fabulous.
• 2:58
SPEAKER_00: And I said, I said, wow, super superstar TV personality.
• 3:03
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, right?
• 3:04
SPEAKER_00: And you get to sit next to him.
• 3:05
  SPEAKER_00: Wow, right?
• 3:06
SPEAKER_00: And now we're bringing in somebody else that's got it.
• 3:09
SPEAKER_00: Like put the two TV stars together.
• 3:12
SPEAKER_01: So I don't know why he's talking about me.
• 3:13
SPEAKER_01: But I mean, a super, I mean, have you ever been called a superstar TV personality?
• 3:16
SPEAKER_01: Superstar TV personality, but now there's I mean the 70-year-olds that watch the show.
• 3:21
  SPEAKER_02: Definitely think that.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_00: So I figured when you're coming on today with and we could talk about your TV uh experience, and then Matt can chime in from his TV experience.
• 3:32
  SPEAKER_01: That'd be great.
• 3:33
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because it's it's it's interesting.
• 3:34
SPEAKER_01: It's it's uh not what people think.
• 3:36
SPEAKER_01: There's always a lot more dominion now.
• 3:38
SPEAKER_01: So you were on Shark Tank.
• 3:40
  SPEAKER_01: That's right.
• 3:40
  SPEAKER_01: Yep, yep.
• 3:40
  SPEAKER_01: Shark Tank.
• 3:41
SPEAKER_01: We actually re-aired last night.
• 3:43
SPEAKER_01: Um so we we aired first time we aired was what November 22nd of 24, so about a year and a month or so ago.
• 3:49
  SPEAKER_03: Okay.
• 3:50
SPEAKER_01: Um, and then uh we we aired then we hadn't re re-aired since.
• 3:54
SPEAKER_01: So last night is the first night we re-aired.
• 3:56
SPEAKER_01: So it was about we were on CNBC instead of you know ABC.
• 3:59
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 3:59
SPEAKER_01: Um, but they you know that they constantly are you know recycling.
• 4:03
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so it's always nice to re-air, you get some nice little bumps, um, get good sales from it.
• 4:07
SPEAKER_00: But these guys tell us like they're they're obviously with the TV show and it's what you watch on the 30-minute segment or the 60-minute segment is not quite what happens.
• 4:14
SPEAKER_00: I assume you have a lot of similar stories.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think from a from a Shark Tank perspective, everyone's always really curious because it's all it's all cut down to like a 12-minute set, right?
• 4:22
SPEAKER_01: And um, you know, but you're in there for an hour.
• 4:25
SPEAKER_01: And I I guess one of the things that's different with Shark Tank is the first like minute or so is completely scripted.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_01: So like when we brought in the steamroller and we ran over the cooler, which I got the actual one we ran over.
• 4:37
SPEAKER_02: That wasn't your that wasn't your idea.
• 4:39
SPEAKER_01: That was it was screwed it was scripted with us in tandem.
• 4:42
SPEAKER_01: Like we work with them, right?
• 4:43
SPEAKER_01: So like that whole part was like the whole like quick pitch, the whole steamroller coming in, that was all you know scripted.
• 4:50
SPEAKER_01: Um, and then once they say, now who wants to invest or whatever the word is, I can't remember what I said, that's when it goes to just you know, real like real negotiations, real pitching, um, answering questions, you know, the that kind of thing.
• 5:04
SPEAKER_01: And you can tell, I don't know, you know, it's it's it's I don't know how it works on like uh Fixer Fabulous, but like on Shark Tank, you could tell that they're asking you questions, but they're trying to invoke a response.
• 5:16
SPEAKER_01: You know, like they're trying to poke and prod you to try to get you to say things or maybe show some like you know, get like upset, maybe or whatever.
• 5:24
SPEAKER_01: So we had a little bit of coaching going in, and we knew like, hey, you gotta be coaching from the show.
• 5:29
SPEAKER_01: Other companies that we've worked with have been on the show, and so we had some coaching.
• 5:33
SPEAKER_01: You know, they were just like be likable, be authentic, have fun with it, don't get it, don't take anything personally, they're gonna ask you questions.
• 5:39
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 5:40
  SPEAKER_01: And just well, Mr.
• 5:41
SPEAKER_01: Wonderful is a dick on purpose, like he goes out of his way to make it difficult, right?
• 5:44
SPEAKER_01: But I don't think he's that way in real life.
• 5:45
SPEAKER_01: No, um yeah, we didn't get to hang out with them.
• 5:47
SPEAKER_01: Like the first time we saw them was when we walked out, and that was the last time we saw them.
• 5:51
SPEAKER_01: Now we've met with Damon, the the I just kind of did a spoiler there, but the the one we made a deal with, Damon, we met with him multiple times since the show.
• 5:59
SPEAKER_01: Um, but we didn't meet with them like right after.
• 6:03
SPEAKER_01: It was it was fun, it was it was really fun and interesting because I don't know how any of that stuff works.
• 6:08
SPEAKER_01: Like, and I would love to hear your side of it because with your show being so or you know, Dame Jiddy's show being so like mobile, you know, everything's in different places all the time.
• 6:18
  SPEAKER_01: This was different.
• 6:19
SPEAKER_01: Like Shark Tank is set up in a studio um in um in California, California, Culver City.
• 6:26
SPEAKER_01: So it's set up in Sony studios, and so we were the very last pitch to go.
• 6:30
SPEAKER_01: So as soon as we were done, they were like, That's it, that's cut, that's a wrap.
• 6:33
SPEAKER_01: Get these guys out of here, do their exit interview, and then cranes were just breaking stuff down immediately.
• 6:38
SPEAKER_01: And they were just like, We get charged by the hour that we're in the studio, we gotta get the show back in the truck and the truck's out.
• 6:43
  SPEAKER_01: Wow.
• 6:44
SPEAKER_01: So I thought it was really interesting.
• 6:45
SPEAKER_01: I you don't hear about that or see that.
• 6:47
SPEAKER_01: How did you get on the show?
• 6:48
SPEAKER_01: Did you just apply online?
• 6:49
SPEAKER_01: So my co-founder and business partner, David, he is an amazing designer.
• 6:54
SPEAKER_01: He designed a lot of products for a lot of people, and um he designed uh a number of products that had been on the show before.
• 7:00
SPEAKER_01: And some of the companies, they they you know, we got to a point where we finally wanted to venture off on our own.
• 7:07
SPEAKER_01: And so we we decided to make our own product, and when we did that, we started showing it around to some of the other companies that we've worked with, and they were like, You got to take that on Shark Tank.
• 7:14
SPEAKER_01: It was like we can we can get you introduced.
• 7:17
SPEAKER_01: You still gotta go through the process, but we can at least make the introduction.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_01: And so we kind of had a little bit of a cheat code in terms of the intro.
• 7:23
SPEAKER_01: But then once you get intro, I mean, I don't know, I think joining the FBI would be easier.
• 7:28
SPEAKER_01: I mean, these guys like the the the thing they give you is like this thick, they won't let you like I had to sign something that said I won't run for political office for two years after being on the show.
• 7:38
  SPEAKER_01: Really?
• 7:39
SPEAKER_01: Because they don't want you to get any kind of unfair advantage or whatever, like like like that's gonna really mesh us, you know.
• 7:44
SPEAKER_01: But hey, vote for the phone guy.
• 7:46
SPEAKER_01: It's like, but you know, it's just it's crazy.
• 7:47
SPEAKER_01: Like you go through this this like no one, I mean, I wish Chat GPT was what it was at the time because I would have just thrown the whole contract in there and understood it.
• 7:55
  SPEAKER_01: I have I'm to this day I don't know what all I signed.
• 7:58
SPEAKER_01: So well, I know I signed a big NDA, but that's about it.
• 8:01
SPEAKER_01: So it's really cool, it's a great experience for us.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_02: You're not breaking any of that NDA with any of this information.
• 8:06
SPEAKER_02: Well, the it was new and reliable.
• 8:09
SPEAKER_01: What we found is is if you're speaking positively and optimistically about the show and you're not that there have been entrepreneurs that have gone on there and had a bad experience and then have proceeded to like go and bash the network and bash the the show.
• 8:21
SPEAKER_01: And if you do that, that's not not a wise thing to do.
• 8:25
SPEAKER_01: Our experientially really good, you know.
• 8:26
SPEAKER_01: So you're nervous when you're walking out because you're asking for money, you want you want to uh you want a contract, obviously, you want a partnership.
• 8:33
SPEAKER_00: When it's the back and forth, that's not scripted, that's all real.
• 8:37
  SPEAKER_01: That's all real.
• 8:37
SPEAKER_01: And I mean you talk about nervous, like yeah, because you're making obvious decisions in a very short window.
• 8:43
SPEAKER_01: They they stage you, so you guys know the hallway, right?
• 8:45
  SPEAKER_01: That you walk down.
• 8:46
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 8:46
SPEAKER_01: So like the first set of double doors, they see you're staged right there.
• 8:49
SPEAKER_01: And then there's a camera pointing like right there on you.
• 8:52
SPEAKER_01: And I didn't think about this, but they're like, as soon as that mic is wired on you, from that point forward, anything is on, it's hot.
• 8:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'm not thinking about it.
• 9:00
SPEAKER_01: And we're sitting there and been there, done that.
• 9:03
SPEAKER_01: I'm like, whoops, I'm starting to get sweaty, and I'm starting to be like, what's going on?
• 9:07
SPEAKER_01: You know, I'm like, what's going on?
• 9:08
SPEAKER_01: And I look over at David and like, I think I'm about to pass stop.
• 9:12
SPEAKER_01: Luckily I didn't, they held it together.
• 9:13
SPEAKER_01: And that was on the show, yeah.
• 9:14
SPEAKER_01: Well, I they didn't play that, but they have the footage.
• 9:17
SPEAKER_01: But um, but then we we walk out, and you know, they there's no like that cool music and stuff they put in, there's none of that.
• 9:23
SPEAKER_01: It's just dead silent, and a guy with a camera suit that's just walking back.
• 9:26
SPEAKER_01: But you must be nervous as hell, right?
• 9:28
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I bet shit.
• 9:29
SPEAKER_02: I'd like to make it easier.
• 9:32
SPEAKER_02: It would have like your neck.
• 9:34
  SPEAKER_01: It would, it would.
• 9:36
SPEAKER_01: But just so the fact that it was so quiet, and then you get out there and you you once you go through the second double doors, there's an X, and you have to stop on that X, and you have to maintain a smile and just look at them for a solid minute while all these like cameras are flying around, taking all the different angles.
• 9:51
SPEAKER_01: Are there cuts if you say something like, or is it just keep going?
• 9:54
SPEAKER_01: Like if you mess something up.
• 9:55
SPEAKER_01: No, there's not unless it unless it's detrimental to the to the to the um whole thing, like I don't know, like say you were doing like a beverage and uh you opened it and it went all over you, they'd probably cut for that.
• 10:06
SPEAKER_01: But no, it's all just like they'll take care of it and edit, you know.
• 10:10
SPEAKER_01: And all the math and all the financials when they're bidding with you, like I mean, again, this is not scripted, so you're doing all this.
• 10:15
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_01: We created a one-page cheat sheet and we knew, like, okay, for this number, it's this, this number is that, here's our sales.
• 10:21
SPEAKER_01: Like you we kind of had it down.
• 10:23
SPEAKER_01: Um, and so I felt very comfortable that we were dialed in for with that stuff.
• 10:29
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I'm pretty good, like on my feet, but I would be super like if this is my livelihood, yeah, and I'm worried about money and uh like I I would be super nervous on this thing.
• 10:38
  SPEAKER_01: I I don't know how I would get through.
• 10:39
SPEAKER_01: You think you'd be all right?
• 10:40
  SPEAKER_02: I think I'd be fine.
• 10:41
SPEAKER_02: I mean, it just depends on the product you're pitching because I mean I think the opportunity to get a deal with one of those guys, and you'll probably you know say I agree or disagree, is could potentially be life-changing.
• 10:52
  SPEAKER_00: Of course.
• 10:52
  SPEAKER_00: I'd be nervous.
• 10:53
SPEAKER_02: So I I I think, you know, and I I've watched the show quite a bit, and I think people get too greedy, and I think they hurt themselves.
• 11:00
SPEAKER_00: Yes, because it's like, oh uh 10% for a million, and it's like, no, no, no, I want 30%, and then they walk away from it, and reality is 30% of nothing is nothing.
• 11:08
  SPEAKER_00: Nothing is nothing, right?
• 11:09
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, and people don't remember and and they don't do a good job realizing that like it this isn't just a basic transaction from like your neighborhood friend down the street.
• 11:17
SPEAKER_01: You know, this is like you're if you're signing up with any of them, you're you're getting the power of not just their money, if you if you their network, but their network, exactly, whatever it is, you know.
• 11:30
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 11:31
SPEAKER_02: And again, I mean, from watching the show, I think some people get way too emotionally attached to the product or their business, and and that it's a personal thing instead of a business thing, and and they they kill themselves.
• 11:44
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 11:44
SPEAKER_02: Like, well, there you go.
• 11:46
SPEAKER_02: Good luck trying to sell that.
• 11:47
SPEAKER_02: If you get powerful advocates who are vested in your success, the the size of the pie just becomes bigger.
• 11:54
SPEAKER_02: So you might have a smaller percentage, but if that pie gets bigger and bigger, you will win.
• 11:58
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and how long would it take you to scale it to that?
• 12:00
SPEAKER_00: But there's been examples like the few, like ring.
• 12:03
SPEAKER_00: I think ring went on there, like the you know, the yeah, and they they turn it down and they're obviously successful.
• 12:08
  SPEAKER_02: I mean, there's a yeah, but that's but that's few and far between.
• 12:10
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 12:11
SPEAKER_02: I mean, I might hit the lotto this weekend, too.
• 12:12
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean so you get people like like Allison from Poppy, you know, the drink.
• 12:17
SPEAKER_01: She went on there, she took a deal with Rohan, and Rohan's like a whiz when it comes to beverages and the beverage industry, and she just sold like what was it like 1.3 billion to Pepsi.
• 12:27
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think she's okay.
• 12:28
SPEAKER_02: I don't know what size of her pie, what the piece of her pie is, but that piece is bigger than it was even if it was 10%.
• 12:36
  SPEAKER_02: It's fine.
• 12:36
  SPEAKER_02: Yep.
• 12:37
  SPEAKER_02: I have a B.
• 12:38
  SPEAKER_02: Yep.
• 12:38
SPEAKER_02: I may be people get to I didn't realize Poppy started on the well.
• 12:43
SPEAKER_02: Tell us about your product and all that, like the suspenses.
• 12:45
  SPEAKER_01: It's cool.
• 12:46
SPEAKER_01: So the the long and short of it is is you know, David and I worked at Coleman together, and so we love the outdoor industry.
• 12:51
SPEAKER_01: We love anything related to like being on the water, going outside, whatever.
• 12:55
SPEAKER_01: And so when we kind of came up with this, we want to develop our own product, we knew it would be in that space.
• 13:00
SPEAKER_01: Um, and we have a background in coolers from working at Coleman, and we just kind of saw like everyone, everyone's doing a good job, but they're all doing the same thing, and they're they're all chasing Yeti, you know, and Yeti and we, you know, David's done design work for Yeti, and Yeti's a great company and great brand, but they are going in a direction that is like it's uber expensive, it's super heavy if you're buying the hard ones.
• 13:22
SPEAKER_01: They're crazy durable, but they're just they're just going a direction that I don't know, was not it wasn't the fun direction.
• 13:28
SPEAKER_01: And you're also paying for the brand name at that point.
• 13:30
SPEAKER_01: You are and and we've kind of had this mindset of like this whole group of consumers, well, a lot of them women, but not only women, but like you look at like the the guy, just the the dads that drive minibans that are at soccer practice all the time, they're floating the river, like that kind of stuff.
• 13:44
  SPEAKER_01: Right.
• 13:44
  SPEAKER_01: That's the market.
• 13:45
SPEAKER_01: Like we tell I tell people like if they say, Well, your cooler doesn't hold ice for three days, my people are using our cooler, are either in at home or in the Hilton by 10 o'clock at night, you know.
• 13:56
SPEAKER_01: So I'm not keep most people who use our product are not you know sleeping in a tent.
• 14:00
SPEAKER_01: Now they may, but but yeah, so we just wanted to design product that was fun, simple, get rid of all the failure points, um, and then make it fun, you know, bright.
• 14:09
SPEAKER_01: So that's where Friday and a Monday comes from.
• 14:11
  SPEAKER_01: It's an FOAM phone.
• 14:13
SPEAKER_01: So we want to make products that make every day feel a little bit more like Friday.
• 14:18
  SPEAKER_01: I like that.
• 14:18
SPEAKER_01: And so and there's a whole story behind where this came from because this is relatively new for this year.
• 14:23
  SPEAKER_01: I like that.
• 14:24
SPEAKER_01: Um do it's show and tell.
• 14:26
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, let's just show you.
• 14:27
SPEAKER_01: So here's why who's the beef, the beef cake in the group here?
• 14:30
  SPEAKER_01: There's the muscles.
• 14:31
  SPEAKER_01: Rob probably Bobby.
• 14:33
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 14:34
  SPEAKER_01: He's a black belt.
• 14:35
  SPEAKER_01: Here's what I tell people he's a black belt.
• 14:37
  SPEAKER_02: I'm professionally trained.
• 14:38
SPEAKER_01: It's made of foam, right?
• 14:39
  SPEAKER_01: So so take it.
• 14:40
SPEAKER_01: Like it's it's durable though, so bend it corner to corner.
• 14:44
SPEAKER_01: So now go side to side.
• 14:48
  SPEAKER_01: And we'll wait.
• 14:52
  SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
• 14:55
SPEAKER_01: I may have done that before.
• 14:56
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but uh you loosened it up.
• 14:59
SPEAKER_01: But this is the exact one that was on Shark Tank, so this one has been run over by the steamroller.
• 15:04
SPEAKER_01: Just give for people that haven't seen a clip, so the steamroller comes out and drives right over the cycle.
• 15:07
SPEAKER_01: So then it just pops up right out the back.
• 15:09
SPEAKER_01: The front and the back.
• 15:10
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
• 15:11
  SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's a wow moment.
• 15:12
SPEAKER_01: So conceivably, Matt could like step on this, no issue.
• 15:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you can do whatever you want with.
• 15:17
SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, it's like the old Rubbermade trash cans they got rid of.
• 15:21
SPEAKER_01: It's kind of, except EV EVA is what is in the midsole of most shoes.
• 15:26
SPEAKER_01: And so when you think of EVA, you take it like croc shoes, crocs shoes or EVA.
• 15:29
SPEAKER_01: Now you can make it harder or softer depending on your application.
• 15:32
SPEAKER_01: But our goal was we got rid of all the metal, so there's nothing here.
• 15:36
SPEAKER_01: If you take it to the beach, nothing's gonna rust.
• 15:38
  SPEAKER_01: That's nice.
• 15:38
SPEAKER_01: We got rid of hinges because a lot of times the hinge breaks and then it's toast.
• 15:42
SPEAKER_01: Some people will float this and use it like a tray, but most people just fill this up.
• 15:47
SPEAKER_01: If you go on our Instagram and look at the first video, it's a guy on Beaver Lake, they fill that it's all full, they and then they just throw it off the boat to the guy in the tube.
• 15:55
  SPEAKER_01: And it floats.
• 15:55
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it just floats.
• 15:56
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so it's always heavier on the it's got enough on the bottom where it's not gonna tip.
• 15:59
  SPEAKER_01: That's part of why it's a cube.
• 16:01
SPEAKER_01: So most coolers are rectangular and in in their profile, which makes them prone to going like this, right?
• 16:07
  SPEAKER_01: Sure.
• 16:08
SPEAKER_01: So this is our floating model, which is also our first one.
• 16:11
  SPEAKER_01: That's interesting.
• 16:12
  SPEAKER_01: Brilliant, love it.
• 16:13
SPEAKER_02: Great for the pool, the pool, especially the pool of the boat, because like everything rusts on a boat.
• 16:19
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it you could leave this on the boat.
• 16:20
  SPEAKER_01: There's nothing to rust.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_01: Now, the only thing I would tell you, we've had to replace two lids so far out of almost over 10,000 coolers because people will roll like this, and then the wind catches this and gone.
• 16:31
  SPEAKER_01: There it goes.
• 16:32
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, all right.
• 16:33
SPEAKER_01: Now, what's the price on that?
• 16:34
SPEAKER_01: So it was started off at one, it started off at 99, and then we had to bump to 125 after the whole terrorist duration.
• 16:40
SPEAKER_01: Oh it's still half the price of like a soft yeti, not a hard yeti, it's about a fourth of the price of a hard yeti.
• 16:47
SPEAKER_01: Um, a soft-sided yeti of this same size is uh 250.
• 16:52
SPEAKER_01: Now, the magic though, the other magic of it is because we're only trying to hold ice for about a day, we can make our walls thinner.
• 16:59
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you get 30 cans of either.
• 17:02
  SPEAKER_01: That's what I was gonna ask.
• 17:06
SPEAKER_02: And and and ice, obviously.
• 17:08
SPEAKER_01: Maybe 20 cans with ice.
• 17:09
SPEAKER_01: It all depends on how you pack it, you know.
• 17:11
SPEAKER_01: Uh the beauty of trying to make it a day use application is you don't have to like jam this thing half ice, half product.
• 17:17
SPEAKER_01: You could put cold beverages, a little ice, always put your ice on top because cold falls, rises.
• 17:22
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 17:23
SPEAKER_01: And um off you go.
• 17:24
SPEAKER_01: There's gotta be a story with the color too, right?
• 17:26
  SPEAKER_01: So sorry, what?
• 17:27
  SPEAKER_01: Sorry.
• 17:28
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm saying there's gotta be a story with the colors.
• 17:29
SPEAKER_00: I mean, those are my kind of colors.
• 17:31
  SPEAKER_00: Bright.
• 17:31
SPEAKER_00: I mean, most things are not, most coolers are not as you're mostly like gray.
• 17:36
SPEAKER_01: Gray or white, like like we we do have gray, we do have white.
• 17:40
SPEAKER_01: That's but this this is our the most popular color is the cyan.
• 17:43
SPEAKER_01: We do have the ones that are just solid cyan.
• 17:45
SPEAKER_01: We also have solid pink.
• 17:47
  SPEAKER_01: Uh I brought this.
• 17:47
SPEAKER_01: This is a little bit of a pink.
• 17:48
SPEAKER_01: Josh would be solid pink.
• 17:50
SPEAKER_01: I don't know who I don't know which one of y'all want it, but this will be a little gift for you.
• 17:53
  SPEAKER_01: Whoa.
• 17:54
  SPEAKER_02: Um I mean, I bent it.
• 17:55
SPEAKER_01: But I it's it's the it's the color of the of the logo.
• 17:59
  SPEAKER_01: So I love it.
• 18:01
  SPEAKER_02: That is great.
• 18:02
  SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
• 18:02
SPEAKER_02: He wants a bright orange.
• 18:03
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 18:04
  SPEAKER_01: I do have a bright orange.
• 18:05
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'll take a bright orange.
• 18:07
  SPEAKER_01: I'll take a bright orange.
• 18:08
SPEAKER_01: Well, whoever wants this one, I'll take the blue.
• 18:12
SPEAKER_00: I mean, the host for the show has got to get some kind of award at some point.
• 18:15
  SPEAKER_00: Whatever, yeah.
• 18:16
  SPEAKER_00: Whatever.
• 18:17
  SPEAKER_00: The newest member.
• 18:18
SPEAKER_01: Uh welcome, welcome to the team, Jim.
• 18:20
SPEAKER_01: If you guys are looking for one, you might you might know someone who could help you out.
• 18:23
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 18:24
SPEAKER_01: Um, but uh yeah, play it's it's nice box.
• 18:28
  SPEAKER_01: Thanks, Matthew.
• 18:28
  SPEAKER_01: That's awesome.
• 18:29
  SPEAKER_01: It's the solder strap.
• 18:31
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just in case you don't like this.
• 18:32
SPEAKER_01: So I was gonna ask you bring it to all the cheerleading competitions, yes, because it's you snap it and then you can throw it out to somewhere.
• 18:39
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
• 18:40
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then they can open it.
• 18:41
  SPEAKER_02: That's great.
• 18:42
  SPEAKER_02: Yep, that'd be great.
• 18:44
  SPEAKER_02: It is.
• 18:44
SPEAKER_01: So that one is, yeah.
• 18:46
SPEAKER_02: What was the question you were gonna ask when I asked about it?
• 18:47
SPEAKER_02: Oh, it yeah, if I threw, you know, a 12-pack or a 24-pack and they're cold, how long, you know, with a little bit of ice, it'll uh or or no ice.
• 18:56
  SPEAKER_01: No, which is perfect.
• 18:57
SPEAKER_01: I tell people it it all depends on the like if it's if it's middle July, Arkansas, and you're floating it out there into 105, like you know, it's it's not gonna last as long.
• 19:06
SPEAKER_01: If it's reasonable and you keep it in the shade, yeah.
• 19:09
SPEAKER_01: The other thing is we had someone who they they were floating it with the lid off in full sun and were disappointed.
• 19:16
  SPEAKER_02: Well, hello.
• 19:17
  SPEAKER_01: But you know, yeah.
• 19:21
  SPEAKER_02: Basic science.
• 19:22
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's cool, it's fun.
• 19:24
SPEAKER_01: I mean, we've and this is where we started.
• 19:27
SPEAKER_01: I left my lid off my cooler and it didn't work.
• 19:31
  SPEAKER_03: Negative Google review.
• 19:33
  SPEAKER_03: Negative Google review.
• 19:34
SPEAKER_02: Sorry if you're watching the podcast, but yeah, you'd be surprised.
• 19:39
SPEAKER_01: I mean, you guys would you guys have all been in between?
• 19:40
SPEAKER_02: No, we we get it.
• 19:41
  SPEAKER_01: We get it.
• 19:42
SPEAKER_02: You get some people we get it.
• 19:43
SPEAKER_01: You love them, and you're just like, I don't know.
• 19:46
SPEAKER_01: Are you only online right now?
• 19:47
SPEAKER_01: Amazon or brick and mortar?
• 19:49
SPEAKER_01: REI REI is our biggest national retailer.
• 19:52
  SPEAKER_02: That's huge.
• 19:52
  SPEAKER_01: Uh that is huge.
• 19:54
SPEAKER_01: We we we we had a better presence in stores than we have online.
• 19:58
SPEAKER_01: Sorry, did Damon get that introduction to you guys?
• 20:00
SPEAKER_01: No, we actually did ourselves.
• 20:02
SPEAKER_01: Um, we we he he liked our background because we're we're retailing.
• 20:09
SPEAKER_01: I feel like we've lost Matt the John Body.
• 20:11
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's like, oh look, shiny object.
• 20:14
  SPEAKER_02: It's a shiny object.
• 20:16
SPEAKER_02: I don't want to get it too close to Josh, but uh hey, don't forget though, I want an orange camera though.
• 20:22
SPEAKER_01: Put it on the back.
• 20:23
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I'll put it over here, Matt.
• 20:24
  SPEAKER_02: Don't forget orange then.
• 20:27
SPEAKER_01: Uh it's about that color orange up there.
• 20:29
  SPEAKER_02: That's matches my phone.
• 20:31
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 20:31
SPEAKER_01: So so what we tell people, and I'll just give you guys just a little bit more on the company.
• 20:36
SPEAKER_01: We went on Shark Tank November of 24.
• 20:39
SPEAKER_01: With how much sales at that point?
• 20:41
  SPEAKER_01: About 200,000 in sales.
• 20:43
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 20:44
SPEAKER_01: You know, um, give give or take.
• 20:46
SPEAKER_01: Um, and then we we, you know, obviously you kind of like you you get a big jump for about, I don't know, a month, and then things kind of really I mean it's noticeable from being on Shark Tank, the jump goes.
• 20:56
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_01: So like our website traffic, you know, we'll have 20 people on our website a day.
• 21:01
SPEAKER_01: You know, we we don't buy ads or anything like that.
• 21:03
SPEAKER_01: So we just if people organically find us, that's how they find us.
• 21:06
SPEAKER_01: But um, and we still don't buy ads and stuff to this day.
• 21:10
SPEAKER_01: But that night, I think we peaked at 48,000.
• 21:14
  SPEAKER_01: From 20 to 48,000?
• 21:15
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, at one time.
• 21:17
  SPEAKER_01: Jesus.
• 21:18
SPEAKER_01: Not not collectively through the night, but one time we had 48,000.
• 21:21
SPEAKER_02: And did you have to prepare for that knowing that you're gonna have the spike make sure the website can handle it?
• 21:26
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we're based on Shopify, and Shopify's very robust.
• 21:29
  SPEAKER_01: Got it.
• 21:30
SPEAKER_01: We we did call them, they're like, oh, we got this.
• 21:32
  SPEAKER_01: We have check.
• 21:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's smart to call it because then people go on there and it crashes.
• 21:38
SPEAKER_01: Because then you miss it.
• 21:39
SPEAKER_01: That would yeah, that'd be bad.
• 21:40
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, but you you go up everywhere, right?
• 21:43
SPEAKER_01: So that's just our website, but then we also see like our traffic on like Amazon go up or other retailers that we're on.
• 21:49
SPEAKER_01: So it's it lifts, you know, rising tide lifts all shits, right?
• 21:52
  SPEAKER_01: So it lifted everything.
• 21:54
SPEAKER_01: But but then twenty twenty five happened, and I don't know how it was for everyone here, but between We we had like in in was actually in December of 24, my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.
• 22:06
  SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
• 22:07
  SPEAKER_01: And then she's great.
• 22:08
  SPEAKER_01: She's doing great now.
• 22:09
SPEAKER_01: She's actually been through treatment.
• 22:11
  SPEAKER_01: She's went to Mayo.
• 22:13
  SPEAKER_01: She works for Walmart.
• 22:14
SPEAKER_01: She had, you know, did the Mayo program and she's now training for the Bitville half marathon.
• 22:19
  SPEAKER_02: I said, wow.
• 22:19
  SPEAKER_01: She's yeah, she's a heck of a lot stronger than I am.
• 22:22
SPEAKER_01: But then in January, we're doing trade shows.
• 22:26
SPEAKER_01: And um and uh I was trying to think we went to Surf Expo, then we drove up to Atlanta.
• 22:31
SPEAKER_01: I stayed in Atlanta for a show.
• 22:33
SPEAKER_01: My buddy David, he went to um Vegas for a show and dropped him, dropped in his hotel of a heart attack at 43.
• 22:38
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.
• 22:39
  SPEAKER_01: He's alive, he's good.
• 22:40
SPEAKER_01: This was the guy that was on Shark Tang with you?
• 22:42
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 22:43
SPEAKER_01: So this was this was like 43.
• 22:45
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, 43.
• 22:45
SPEAKER_01: Six stents later, he's fine.
• 22:47
SPEAKER_01: But um, and he's not like not a big guy, he just the guy with curly hair.
• 22:51
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it doesn't matter.
• 22:52
  SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
• 22:53
SPEAKER_01: So well, that's what they told him is a lot of it for him was probably genetics.
• 22:57
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, so obviously he has to watch his diet and be proactive.
• 23:01
SPEAKER_01: But so you know, we started 25, like with a bang, you know, and then then the tariffs hit.
• 23:08
SPEAKER_01: And that that for a company of our size, we had one container of product that was that got caught up in the mix, and we needed it for QVC because we I won't stick a customer, like I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna be like, sorry, I'm not gonna show up because of tariffs.
• 23:22
SPEAKER_01: So we had to eat the tariff bill on that one container, it's a$30,000 container with a$50,000 tariff bill.
• 23:30
SPEAKER_01: So it was like an$80,000 container at that point.
• 23:33
SPEAKER_01: And so 2025 was rough, you know.
• 23:36
  SPEAKER_01: But luckily we're small.
• 23:37
SPEAKER_01: We weathered the storm, we're conservative, you know, we all have a big office building and all this, you know, stuff.
• 23:43
SPEAKER_01: So we were able to weather the storm, and now 26 is we've got new products coming out.
• 23:48
SPEAKER_01: Um, we came up with the whole Friday and on Monday, and that's part of that between my wife's thing and David's thing and just everything, that's where that's kind of why Friday and a Monday came into uh into fruition.
• 23:59
SPEAKER_01: And I have to give um designsteins across the street a little bit of a plug because they helped us come up with this.
• 24:04
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I mean my my saying is always the weekend starts on Thursday, but I like Monday much better.
• 24:10
SPEAKER_01: Just make every day a little bit of Friday, right?
• 24:13
SPEAKER_01: You know, and and um now we're just uh we're a cool lifestyle company that's doing other products.
• 24:20
SPEAKER_01: And let's look at see what else you got to do.
• 24:24
  SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
• 24:25
  SPEAKER_00: It's like unbelievable.
• 24:27
SPEAKER_02: This is such an interesting window into a minute, isn't it another being a similar thing on the table?
• 24:34
SPEAKER_02: You dump on the middle of the hungry man or I knew Josh was gonna go out.
• 24:41
SPEAKER_00: I mean, the guy who runs the podcast at some point's gotta get some sort of we'll make sure you're not here.
• 24:47
  SPEAKER_00: Quick place, yeah.
• 24:49
SPEAKER_00: As you're talking through it up, you say you're a small little outfit.
• 24:52
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 24:53
SPEAKER_00: You but we're here in Betonville.
• 24:55
SPEAKER_00: You you mentioned your wife works for Walmart, but I can imagine Walmart who sells Yeti stuff and who sells Ozark Trail, which is a knockoff for Yeti.
• 25:04
SPEAKER_01: This is an interesting uh not outpriced thing.
• 25:08
SPEAKER_01: Has there been any discussion about it there?
• 25:10
  SPEAKER_01: There have.
• 25:11
SPEAKER_01: We've we've met with the merchant there.
• 25:13
SPEAKER_01: Um actually worked in that department, not for Walmart, but as a supplier, I've worked in that department with coma.
• 25:19
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you probably don't sure.
• 25:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so I know the merchants, and we just like I I told them and they told me, we're like, let's just start it online, let's see how people react to the price.
• 25:27
SPEAKER_01: Good see what people feel.
• 25:28
  SPEAKER_01: So it's on Walmart.com today.
• 25:30
  SPEAKER_01: It is.
• 25:31
SPEAKER_01: That's where Matt can buy his.
• 25:33
  SPEAKER_01: I mean, I already have a blue one.
• 25:37
SPEAKER_01: It it it's been on Walmart just for a couple weeks, but uh yeah, we're we're Kate and it.
• 25:41
SPEAKER_01: We do get that bright pink one.
• 25:42
  SPEAKER_01: It's really cool.
• 25:43
  SPEAKER_01: Like that.
• 25:44
SPEAKER_01: So you have pink, orange, blue, and uh there's 10 colors.
• 25:46
  SPEAKER_01: We have purple.
• 25:48
SPEAKER_02: I think it's great that Walmart does that.
• 25:50
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because a lot of people just think that you can just get into Walmart and do great.
• 25:55
SPEAKER_02: They don't understand if it's great, it'll sink your company.
• 25:58
SPEAKER_02: But it's nice being able to stair step into it.
• 26:02
SPEAKER_01: Well, I tell people I do on the side, I do some consulting, especially with some other Shark Tank companies, um, for their Walmart business.
• 26:09
SPEAKER_01: And I tell people like Walmart doesn't really say no to more.
• 26:12
SPEAKER_01: They say put it on three P start here, right?
• 26:15
SPEAKER_01: And then grow from there.
• 26:16
  SPEAKER_03: Yep.
• 26:17
SPEAKER_01: The worst thing you could do, unless you just have some kind of like crazy resources and like ridiculously trending product, the worst thing you can do is walk in and ask for all stores.
• 26:25
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a people don't realize you got to finance that PO, you know, and all that product.
• 26:30
SPEAKER_00: We just talked about it.
• 26:31
SPEAKER_00: The the guy from Flowey Brooklyn, he used to be in and they he wanted states and states like let's just start here locally and regionally because your units for store policy seems to go way up and everybody's being excited and you grow it.
• 26:40
SPEAKER_00: And oh yeah, it makes more sense.
• 26:42
SPEAKER_00: Like just show success and then grow.
• 26:44
  SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
• 26:44
  SPEAKER_00: Like, what's the rush?
• 26:45
SPEAKER_01: You know, and by the way, if you go chain wide and you can't ship it, you'll be done anyway.
• 26:49
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's it.
• 26:50
SPEAKER_01: And then once you're out, I mean it's hard to no hard to get that door back.
• 26:53
SPEAKER_02: The worst thing you can do is get out over your skis and then fall on your face.
• 26:56
SPEAKER_01: Well, and that's Lori um on the episode.
• 26:59
SPEAKER_01: I don't know if you guys recall it, but she she threw us a bow and told us she was like, You guys are really smart because when we went to Target, we did like 97 stores and we just did a little test with them.
• 27:08
SPEAKER_01: And this was before Shark Tank and everything, so no one knew who we were.
• 27:11
SPEAKER_01: So the test did not go as great as we would have liked.
• 27:13
SPEAKER_01: Okay, but post-Shark Tank because you had no brand awareness, no one knew who we were, but we were still figuring out who we were, you know.
• 27:19
SPEAKER_01: We just so it didn't do well in those 97 stores, not not as well as like the you know, a 40 or 50, not well enough to expand.
• 27:26
  SPEAKER_01: Correct.
• 27:27
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so so we we pull back now.
• 27:29
SPEAKER_01: We're actually not focused on mass.
• 27:31
SPEAKER_01: I'm our our mindset is we really want to build this this this business around specialty channels and mom and pops and marinas and kind of focus it and yeah, yeah.
• 27:40
SPEAKER_01: Maybe one day we'll grow to Walmart or Atari.
• 27:42
  SPEAKER_01: That's a good idea.
• 27:43
SPEAKER_01: This we're doing gear, like gear, yeah.
• 27:46
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's something right up there.
• 27:49
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I've emailed it a couple times.
• 27:51
SPEAKER_01: Do you want to meet the gearhead guy?
• 27:53
SPEAKER_01: Well, so I know um, I don't know, but like I I've emailed with the their buyer.
• 27:58
SPEAKER_00: Um, no, we appreciate the the owner.
• 28:00
SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, that's easy to that.
• 28:02
  SPEAKER_00: That's easy.
• 28:03
  SPEAKER_02: That's easy to bad.
• 28:04
SPEAKER_02: We can be able to find it.
• 28:05
  SPEAKER_02: But I I mean, I I see I see where you're battery pull out.
• 28:08
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and like I'm gonna switch my order to one of those in orange.
• 28:11
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 28:16
SPEAKER_01: So what we learned was we're not a cooler company, we're an EVA company.
• 28:19
  SPEAKER_01: Matt's getting in.
• 28:20
  SPEAKER_01: What is this?
• 28:21
SPEAKER_01: So so this is our this this isn't even here yet.
• 28:23
SPEAKER_01: This will be here in about 30 days.
• 28:24
SPEAKER_00: So you're launching this here?
• 28:28
SPEAKER_01: The strap is more fashionable because it is a tote.
• 28:31
SPEAKER_01: You'll have what we call the Big Friday.
• 28:34
SPEAKER_01: Bobby's all about the fashion of the strap.
• 28:36
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that just sold Robert.
• 28:39
SPEAKER_01: And then you're in the little the little Monday.
• 28:41
  SPEAKER_01: Your mini Monday.
• 28:42
  SPEAKER_03: Oh, I love it.
• 28:43
SPEAKER_01: So you gotta have both of them, is the problem.
• 28:45
SPEAKER_01: Why the holes on the side?
• 28:47
  SPEAKER_01: So ventilation.
• 28:48
SPEAKER_01: So like if you put like, say you there's a lot of these bags in the market today, and they have their holes here.
• 28:54
SPEAKER_01: We put them on the side because we want two flat panels here, because one of our largest customers, what they do is they put loads up.
• 29:01
SPEAKER_01: And so we intentionally designed that flat.
• 29:03
SPEAKER_01: But it's also if you fill that with ice as the ice would be it's not a cooler, you don't want to put ice on it.
• 29:07
SPEAKER_01: I would why not because it's gonna go right out these holes.
• 29:10
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, the ice wouldn't.
• 29:11
  SPEAKER_02: This would be nice.
• 29:12
SPEAKER_02: Metal like helms on the yeah, yeah.
• 29:15
  SPEAKER_02: That's good.
• 29:16
SPEAKER_02: But absolutely can be a good thing.
• 29:17
SPEAKER_01: But in general, though, why the holes?
• 29:19
  SPEAKER_01: Um air ventilation.
• 29:20
SPEAKER_01: Because if you put like, say you went to the pool and you rolled up your wet towel and stuck it in here.
• 29:24
SPEAKER_01: Think about your sticky boxers.
• 29:27
SPEAKER_01: Think about your boxers coming out of the gym, Bobby.
• 29:28
SPEAKER_00: You pop it in there, like I need a little ventilation.
• 29:31
  SPEAKER_00: Got it.
• 29:32
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, what we did different too is our handle can be pulled out and lengthened and go end to end on this one.
• 29:38
SPEAKER_01: So this is a totally separate incremental.
• 29:40
SPEAKER_01: This is a whole we haven't even sold one of the.
• 29:42
SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've done the little bit of pre-orders, but no, these are these are brand new.
• 29:45
  SPEAKER_01: Like they'll be here.
• 29:46
SPEAKER_01: First one off the see that you could even when you set it in the sand, it'd even leave.
• 29:50
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, or the snow.
• 29:51
SPEAKER_01: If we uh David took his and Charlotte the other day and put it in the snow and it leaves foam is fun and the cool.
• 29:58
SPEAKER_00: So when you go to the cheer competitions, like you could bring this as a carry-on bench.
• 30:03
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, I I I mean, if possible, I would love one of those in orange.
• 30:06
SPEAKER_02: I'll pay for it too.
• 30:08
SPEAKER_01: We'll uh we'll get you we'll we'll get it all figured out.
• 30:10
SPEAKER_01: So what are the colors?
• 30:11
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so the ten colors.
• 30:12
SPEAKER_01: So ten colors, put you on the spot.
• 30:13
  SPEAKER_01: Oh gosh, okay.
• 30:14
SPEAKER_01: Swirl, uh cyan, pink, uh, purple, red, like razor back red, um, white, gray, um, orange, the glacier blue, and then I'm missing a color.
• 30:27
SPEAKER_01: Oh, on the totes specifically, there'll be a black.
• 30:30
  SPEAKER_01: Oh yes.
• 30:31
SPEAKER_01: And black look really good.
• 30:32
  SPEAKER_01: It does.
• 30:33
  SPEAKER_01: That's trap.
• 30:33
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
• 30:34
  SPEAKER_01: It does.
• 30:34
SPEAKER_01: The black looks really good.
• 30:35
SPEAKER_01: And it's a little bit on here.
• 30:36
SPEAKER_02: Now, can can you custom order with a logo or something written on it?
• 30:41
  SPEAKER_02: Or yes.
• 30:42
SPEAKER_01: So, like, let's say what would you put on yours, Bobby?
• 30:44
  SPEAKER_01: Helios.
• 30:45
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, yeah.
• 30:46
  SPEAKER_01: So, like shout out.
• 30:47
  SPEAKER_01: Typically, there's a$40 print fee.
• 30:50
SPEAKER_01: So typically you want to order like 20 of them, you know.
• 30:53
SPEAKER_01: One for each year guest as a gift.
• 30:55
SPEAKER_01: But uh, yes, we actually can do that.
• 30:57
  SPEAKER_02: Very cool.
• 30:58
SPEAKER_02: Uh, and they're they're printed on and what are those gonna retail for?
• 31:01
  SPEAKER_01: Uh 70 and 90.
• 31:03
SPEAKER_01: But that's retail, that's not right, you know, 70 plus 40 bucks for the logo.
• 31:08
  SPEAKER_01: Um there thereabouts.
• 31:10
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, but what else can you get for that?
• 31:12
  SPEAKER_02: No, that's a great deal.
• 31:14
  SPEAKER_01: And it's it's a nice print.
• 31:16
  SPEAKER_01: Can I see stuff?
• 31:16
SPEAKER_01: Can I see the baby?
• 31:17
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, of course.
• 31:18
  SPEAKER_01: It's a full color print.
• 31:19
SPEAKER_01: Like you could literally put a face on there if you wanted.
• 31:21
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, Bobby.
• 31:24
  SPEAKER_02: A Bobby, a B team podcast.
• 31:26
SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna send you that, yeah.
• 31:28
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you send me a logo.
• 31:30
SPEAKER_01: I I can mock it up to you for you by tomorrow.
• 31:32
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, tomorrow, Bobby.
• 31:34
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, you mean you're gonna send her Angie's gonna send it?
• 31:36
  SPEAKER_01: It'd be a digital knockout.
• 31:37
SPEAKER_01: So would you do would you do black with the orange logo?
• 31:40
  SPEAKER_01: That's what I think.
• 31:41
SPEAKER_01: That would pop a black orange.
• 31:43
SPEAKER_01: That would be it's look kind of like kind of like this.
• 31:46
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's exciting.
• 31:48
SPEAKER_01: Now the clue looks really good.
• 31:50
  SPEAKER_01: I like it a lot.
• 31:51
SPEAKER_01: I like the brand expansion.
• 31:52
  SPEAKER_01: Uh, cool stuff, yes.
• 31:55
  SPEAKER_01: You have more?
• 31:56
SPEAKER_01: Uh well, so this is the first time anyone's seen any of those.
• 31:59
  SPEAKER_01: Oh boy.
• 31:59
SPEAKER_01: Oh, so we design all of our own stuff from scratch.
• 32:03
SPEAKER_01: None of this stuff is none of not none of this stuff is uh um uh what do you call it?
• 32:10
  SPEAKER_01: Sourced and sold.
• 32:10
SPEAKER_01: None of it's sourced and sold.
• 32:12
SPEAKER_01: So the next thing we're gonna be doing, and I'm I'm excited to uh announce that this project um will be made in USA.
• 32:20
SPEAKER_01: And so we're trying we're trying to get the bigger stuff done in the US too, but it's it's very expensive.
• 32:27
SPEAKER_01: But we did find a factory that you're breaking news here right now.
• 32:31
  SPEAKER_01: Here we go.
• 32:31
  SPEAKER_01: This is exciting.
• 32:32
SPEAKER_01: So these oh for the phone.
• 32:35
SPEAKER_01: Let's go! No, Bobby, look at that orange in the color.
• 32:39
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's that's a little bit off because it's just filament.
• 32:41
SPEAKER_01: No, these are 3D, these are 3D material, right?
• 32:43
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, I see.
• 32:43
SPEAKER_02: So this is gonna be the phone.
• 32:46
  SPEAKER_02: So coozies.
• 32:47
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we can't say koozy.
• 32:48
SPEAKER_01: We already had a C S in the system now.
• 32:50
SPEAKER_01: Call them uh little foamies.
• 32:52
SPEAKER_01: Call them boozies, boozies, boozy, boozy, boozies, boozy.
• 32:56
  SPEAKER_01: That's a great idea, John.
• 32:59
  SPEAKER_01: Okay, do they float?
• 33:01
SPEAKER_01: These will float, but it's gonna, you know, it's gonna fill up it floats.
• 33:05
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, you you probably this because we've actually now.
• 33:08
  SPEAKER_02: You know what?
• 33:08
SPEAKER_02: Can can you can you design it since it's foam?
• 33:10
SPEAKER_02: Can you design it with almost like a like a uh what do you call it?
• 33:14
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I can I guess like an I know what you're talking about.
• 33:16
SPEAKER_00: Like uh like an inner tube around it almost.
• 33:19
SPEAKER_02: I just kind of double choke out.
• 33:21
SPEAKER_01: You could like a spare tire.
• 33:23
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, spare tire, yeah.
• 33:25
  SPEAKER_01: There you go.
• 33:25
SPEAKER_01: I got one of those too.
• 33:28
  SPEAKER_01: Telling you.
• 33:29
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it would do well.
• 33:30
SPEAKER_01: And we'll be able to print on these too.
• 33:32
SPEAKER_01: But uh you'll see, made in USA in the bottom, you get the stried one.
• 33:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, these are designed for like um just this is a 12-ounce can a 12-ounce, and this is like your white claw.
• 33:41
  SPEAKER_02: White claw, yeah.
• 33:42
SPEAKER_01: And that's like your, I don't know, energy drink or your 16 ounce, whatever.
• 33:45
SPEAKER_01: You guys are on fire.
• 33:46
SPEAKER_01: Who's doing the marketing and uh new product innovation?
• 33:49
SPEAKER_01: Uh so David and I both came from products, so we designed developed stuff ourselves.
• 33:53
SPEAKER_01: Um again, we hand scrap like David.
• 33:55
SPEAKER_01: Coleman must hate you guys now.
• 33:57
  SPEAKER_01: Shout out.
• 33:57
  SPEAKER_01: They're stoked.
• 33:58
SPEAKER_01: The Colemans they they they're doing their own thing, but they've gotten bought sold so many times, they don't know what's they don't know what way's up right now.
• 34:04
  SPEAKER_03: Sure enough.
• 34:06
  SPEAKER_01: Um I love it.
• 34:07
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, so you know, just little things like when David designs his stuff, you'll notice the the part line for the tool is hidden within these ridges, you know.
• 34:15
SPEAKER_01: So that or it will be.
• 34:16
SPEAKER_01: So just little things like that make right.
• 34:18
SPEAKER_01: We we try to be very intentional, like this logo is inset versus sticking out because you want the print head to be able to come across and do the logo or whatever you want to put on it.
• 34:27
SPEAKER_01: So there's a lot of thoughtful things like that.
• 34:30
SPEAKER_00: I feel like you could be a brand ambassador in Florida on Helios.
• 34:33
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, yeah.
• 34:34
  SPEAKER_00: No, in all seriousness.
• 34:35
SPEAKER_00: No, I we break both.
• 34:36
SPEAKER_00: He's got a super cool boat out of Florida.
• 34:38
SPEAKER_00: You could probably be like you can get him so much business just by pushing us on your North Miami.
• 34:43
SPEAKER_01: All you all you're North Miami is yeah, you just need to get Steve to do a boat club.
• 34:47
SPEAKER_01: They get my bags out for the the ride.
• 34:50
  SPEAKER_01: We should connect.
• 34:51
  SPEAKER_01: He's down there.
• 34:52
SPEAKER_01: So this stuff is this tooling is already it's in process, and so this we'll hopefully have these by late April, early May out of Georgia.
• 35:01
SPEAKER_02: So we're gonna be out of Georgia too.
• 35:03
SPEAKER_02: To me, if it's made in the U.S.
• 35:05
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we can do that.
• 35:06
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's beautiful.
• 35:06
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, now I see why you want the orange.
• 35:08
  SPEAKER_01: Yes, yeah.
• 35:09
SPEAKER_01: And that little pad you got out there, that's where your cooler's floating around it.
• 35:12
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 35:13
SPEAKER_02: And and plus you already got burned with the tariffs once.
• 35:16
SPEAKER_02: It's like, hey, listen, let me take that out of the equation as much as I care.
• 35:18
  SPEAKER_02: They're working.
• 35:19
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they're bringing everything back to us.
• 35:21
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's take it's it's hard, but yeah, it's something like this was a was a small risk for us, and we found if we we found a factory that actually had machines.
• 35:29
SPEAKER_01: Um problem is I don't know if they can do the big stuff yet.
• 35:32
  SPEAKER_01: So we're they're walking with this.
• 35:34
SPEAKER_01: If it works, then our next goal is we have our new version of the cooler, but it's not meant to replace the square.
• 35:41
SPEAKER_01: The the cube is the floating cooler.
• 35:43
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 35:44
SPEAKER_01: But the thing that we kept getting asked was, are you gonna make one for the golf cart?
• 35:48
SPEAKER_01: Because this the cube the cube's not gonna hold it.
• 35:50
SPEAKER_01: The cube is not gonna fit in the bathroom.
• 35:53
SPEAKER_01: That would ask it then.
• 35:54
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
• 35:54
SPEAKER_01: And the second thing they asked was, will it ever be able to hold wine bottles?
• 35:59
  SPEAKER_01: And so wine calls.
• 36:01
SPEAKER_01: Oh, we've got more coming.
• 36:02
  SPEAKER_01: Look at this.
• 36:02
SPEAKER_01: I just got this two days ago.
• 36:04
  SPEAKER_02: Hold on a second.
• 36:05
SPEAKER_01: Matt, you can't take it home with you.
• 36:07
SPEAKER_01: No, well no, it's just plastic.
• 36:08
SPEAKER_01: But because again, we designed it all ourselves.
• 36:10
SPEAKER_01: So this is a 3D, don't push the lid in, that's just representative.
• 36:13
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 36:14
SPEAKER_01: But this will be the shape and the profile of the new one, and we're gonna change the hinge attachments.
• 36:19
SPEAKER_01: Um, it's gonna be so that's for the golf cart?
• 36:21
SPEAKER_01: So it'd be more like golf, uh, wine.
• 36:23
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, gem start.
• 36:25
SPEAKER_02: Well, will you have an insert for the wine cooler where the bottles aren't smacking?
• 36:30
SPEAKER_01: We could probably come up with something.
• 36:32
SPEAKER_01: Just a thought, just a thought, but six bottles in here fit pre-protecting.
• 36:35
  SPEAKER_01: Tight.
• 36:35
SPEAKER_01: Okay, so then you don't have to worry about it about it.
• 36:38
  SPEAKER_01: Yep.
• 36:38
SPEAKER_01: Um just has to have six bottles.
• 36:40
SPEAKER_01: A lot of coolers don't fit wine bottles.
• 36:42
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're they're too short, yeah.
• 36:43
SPEAKER_01: And that's the problem that our floating that has it to where it it worked.
• 36:48
  SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
• 36:49
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, love that.
• 36:49
SPEAKER_01: So, and and you'll notice we've learned a lot, right?
• 36:52
SPEAKER_01: So, like, I'll just show you, and this turned into a product development F.
• 36:55
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, there you go.
• 36:56
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, fantastic.
• 36:57
SPEAKER_01: So, notice how short this dip is, and then there's nothing, no friction points.
• 37:02
SPEAKER_01: So, that kind of makes it to where it can come off the wind.
• 37:05
SPEAKER_01: So, you'll notice we we've updated this one.
• 37:09
  SPEAKER_01: It's much deeper, right?
• 37:10
SPEAKER_01: And it's got these kind of like friction points.
• 37:13
SPEAKER_01: So you don't get that one bad Google review.
• 37:16
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so boom, and then it would go in.
• 37:18
SPEAKER_01: And you got little handles that you made.
• 37:20
SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, it's that that is there that lines up with this here, but you'll also have the strap here.
• 37:26
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 37:26
SPEAKER_01: Um, that the it will look like this strap, but we're changing the attachment point to where it's gonna be more sealed.
• 37:34
SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, this one will be if they can do that right, our goal is for them to try to make this in Georgia.
• 37:40
SPEAKER_01: So, this is your full-time gig.
• 37:42
SPEAKER_01: This is what you're working on.
• 37:43
SPEAKER_01: You've done with the supplier stuff.
• 37:45
SPEAKER_01: This is your I I do, I have probably two or three clients at any given time that I help with Goldmark.
• 37:50
  SPEAKER_01: Sure.
• 37:50
SPEAKER_01: Um, I don't carry the bag for anybody.
• 37:52
SPEAKER_01: I tell people I don't have the time to do that.
• 37:54
SPEAKER_01: But I I've got some Shark Tank friends, some companies that have been on there um that need help with like analytics or they need help getting samples or preparing for line review or something like that.
• 38:04
SPEAKER_01: So I'll help help them.
• 38:05
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but no, we're we don't we're not like actively trying to grow in skill.
• 38:09
SPEAKER_02: Um so how how involved is Damon?
• 38:12
SPEAKER_02: I was gonna ask that same question.
• 38:13
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
• 38:14
SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, because obviously, you know, he has his multiple businesses and audio deals with Shark Tank.
• 38:19
SPEAKER_02: So like that's always been fascinating.
• 38:21
SPEAKER_01: Are you like text friends with him?
• 38:22
SPEAKER_01: Like can you know Damon's and and everyone's a little different, but Damon is and understandably he's very protected um in terms of and then it's intentional, right?
• 38:31
SPEAKER_01: Like I remember he was telling us stories like early on in the Shark Tank.
• 38:35
SPEAKER_01: He would have like he would get deals with people and then he would learn more about those people after the fact.
• 38:40
SPEAKER_01: And it's just he doesn't want his brand ties to that.
• 38:42
  SPEAKER_01: Well, and it's just I don't know.
• 38:43
SPEAKER_01: There's just there's a lot of stuff out there, you know.
• 38:45
SPEAKER_01: And so I'm not putting his business on on blast, but yeah, there's just he he needs to have some level of insulation.
• 38:51
  SPEAKER_01: Makes sense.
• 38:52
SPEAKER_01: Now we we can email him anytime.
• 38:54
SPEAKER_01: He responds personally, oh yeah.
• 38:56
SPEAKER_01: If we if we need him, like I mean, it's oh my gosh, we had to get him.
• 38:59
SPEAKER_01: Like we're one guy away.
• 39:00
SPEAKER_01: You know, we we have a guy that his name's Dean that um is like our main contact.
• 39:05
SPEAKER_01: And so like we'll just we just call Dean and he was like, I'm gonna talk to Dean, you know, and comes right back to us.
• 39:10
  SPEAKER_01: So you'll get within 24 hours, you'll get a call back.
• 39:13
  SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, easily.
• 39:14
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, that's good.
• 39:14
  SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, yeah.
• 39:15
SPEAKER_01: Like, I mean, like I'll give you an example.
• 39:17
SPEAKER_01: Um, like the the breast cancer thing for my wife.
• 39:20
SPEAKER_01: Um, last October, you know, I sent a request to Dean.
• 39:23
SPEAKER_01: I was like, Hey, you think Damon will make us a video?
• 39:25
SPEAKER_01: It's like we're gonna try to raise a little bit of money.
• 39:27
SPEAKER_01: And he was like, Yeah, sure, you know, and so they just he made up a quick video, called her out by name, and you know, asked people to donate, put that out there.
• 39:34
  SPEAKER_01: So he's a he's a really he's interesting.
• 39:39
SPEAKER_01: He's not what like I I I think of Fubu and I think of like fashion and like all this.
• 39:44
SPEAKER_01: When you get to know him, he's like all into like biohacking and fishing and NASCAR and like his personality is like if you took like 12 different random things and threw them in a bowl, that's like his personality.
• 39:56
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 39:56
SPEAKER_02: So so like how involved is it?
• 39:58
SPEAKER_02: Like, do you have to like do they help you continue to grow the business, the brand?
• 40:04
  SPEAKER_01: Or it's it's not a push, it's more of a pull.
• 40:06
SPEAKER_01: It's like what we go to them if we need something.
• 40:08
  SPEAKER_01: Got it.
• 40:09
SPEAKER_01: You know, because they're they're like you said, Yeah, they're so they're so busy, and so there's they're just letting you do your thing and helping you along the way.
• 40:17
  SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
• 40:17
SPEAKER_01: And if there's something specifically we need help with or whatever, and a lot of times Damon, this is how he operates, he views himself as more of like a connector.
• 40:27
SPEAKER_01: So typically, if you go to Damon, you're like, hey, I I got a challenge with um digital marketing, whatever your mistake is.
• 40:33
SPEAKER_01: He typically is a guy for that more galinous, you know.
• 40:37
SPEAKER_00: Which is yeah, well, after the battle, yeah, that's exactly right.
• 40:40
SPEAKER_00: But I'd imagine of the hundred people he works with, I'm just using a round number, some are gonna be bothering him every day.
• 40:46
SPEAKER_00: Some hopefully will never have to bother him.
• 40:48
  SPEAKER_00: It's just an investment.
• 40:49
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'd imagine he's trying to find a sweet spot of engagement level he wants to have.
• 40:53
SPEAKER_00: Some of the products are gonna be terrible in the long run in the long run, some are gonna be good.
• 40:56
SPEAKER_01: So he's probably picking who he wants to work with based on who he invests in.
• 40:59
SPEAKER_01: And he told us like so one of his companies that you guys will know is Bombus that he invested in from Shark Tank, the Sox.
• 41:05
  SPEAKER_01: Sure, the Socks.
• 41:06
SPEAKER_01: And he was telling us a story.
• 41:07
SPEAKER_01: And I'm Damon, if you ever see this, I'm probably gonna get it wrong.
• 41:09
SPEAKER_01: But it was something along the lines of he had this really great idea that Bombus should definitely do.
• 41:14
SPEAKER_01: And so he called him up, was like, hey, you need to do this, and they're like, No.
• 41:17
SPEAKER_01: And he was like, Okay, and he just like so he's not he's not there to run your business, he's there to support you.
• 41:25
SPEAKER_01: And some of the idea, like right now, his biggest push on us is he's like, Y'all are really strong in retail, you're really good at getting in front of buyers, whatever.
• 41:34
SPEAKER_01: He's like, But you you guys are terrible at digital marketing, and you and you you need to focus on live social selling.
• 41:40
  SPEAKER_01: That's where it's at.
• 41:41
SPEAKER_01: Like, you need to good feedback, you need to build, like you said, get out your camera and just start talking about the cooler and just start selling it on TikTok or whatnot, or whatever.
• 41:49
  SPEAKER_02: Same stuff.
• 41:50
SPEAKER_02: So, how does that come across?
• 41:51
SPEAKER_02: Is that like a quarterly meeting or a yearly review, or he just randomly says, hey.
• 41:56
SPEAKER_01: We meet with him on Zoom about every two months for like more in-depth.
• 42:03
  SPEAKER_02: That's that's pretty that's quite a bit.
• 42:05
SPEAKER_01: But he was here, like he comes to Bitendville all the time for Walmart stuff.
• 42:08
SPEAKER_01: And so when he's here, I usually run with like meet with uh like he was in uh Cersei, Cersei, Cersei, I don't ever remember how to say it.
• 42:16
  SPEAKER_01: Um, last April.
• 42:18
SPEAKER_01: And um, and so he came into town and he was speaking at uh speaking at a leadership summit there, um, conference at Harding University.
• 42:27
SPEAKER_01: And so I emailed Dean, like, hey, you know, if if if Damon will let me, you know, hang out and whatever, I'll I'll go to this thing and be there.
• 42:34
SPEAKER_01: And he was like, all right, cool.
• 42:35
SPEAKER_01: So I mean, like, you know, hung up backstage with him, went to lunch with him after, you know, had to help them get to the airport, like so I would say, and you guys know this, right?
• 42:47
SPEAKER_01: Like, we all know people, like they're just people.
• 42:50
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and and and and people that are in that position, they they don't try to be off-putting, they it's to be rude, it's just to be protective, you know, because you don't ever know what knucklehead is.
• 43:03
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're gonna ask you for this, that, or whatever.
• 43:06
SPEAKER_00: So do you think um I'm putting you on the spot, I know you know the answer, but like the local Benville Company maybe in the uh the Mercantale or the uh Mars on Main?
• 43:14
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 43:15
SPEAKER_00: I mean, this would be good to have in in their store, right?
• 43:17
SPEAKER_00: That would be super cool.
• 43:18
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I haven't reached out to the the Mars Mercantile, but yeah, we totally should do something.
• 43:23
SPEAKER_01: That would be super cool, right?
• 43:24
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, promoting especially the tote.
• 43:25
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I can see the toad crushing it in there.
• 43:28
SPEAKER_01: All of us TV starties together.
• 43:30
SPEAKER_01: We have an escalating the TV stars together when they have it.
• 43:34
  SPEAKER_01: It's ridiculous.
• 43:35
SPEAKER_02: No, but if they could put logos on it too, just I could see that that I can just have the blue one for me because it doesn't have the logo that they see on it.
• 43:42
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, that's a good point.
• 43:44
SPEAKER_01: So it's because yours like doesn't this one can't really because they have the first thing to do is put tape over any.
• 43:52
SPEAKER_01: Well, so we we had to build a we had to build a PowerPoint presentation for Shark Tank, and we had to show them everything except our underwear.
• 43:59
SPEAKER_01: We had to say these are the Shoes we're wearing, the socks we're wearing, this is our watch, this is our wedding ring.
• 44:03
SPEAKER_00: Oh, in terms of what you're gonna wear on the show.
• 44:05
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, no free promotion.
• 44:06
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 44:07
SPEAKER_00: Like you can't show up on that shirt that says B Team Podcast.
• 44:09
SPEAKER_00: They wouldn't let you wear it.
• 44:10
SPEAKER_01: You could never wear like these Adidas that have like the stripes.
• 44:12
SPEAKER_01: They would never allow it.
• 44:14
  SPEAKER_01: That's interesting.
• 44:15
SPEAKER_01: Even on the steamroller, if you go back and watch the episode, you'll see you'll notice that they're like strategically placed stage tape all over the stone.
• 44:21
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's how it is on the show.
• 44:22
SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, you can't wear like all your hats though, you are right.
• 44:25
SPEAKER_00: They have to be you have to wear paying you're not playing the place.
• 44:30
SPEAKER_00: So when you're wearing when you're wearing hats on the show, you're wearing career tires, date setups.
• 44:35
SPEAKER_02: Or no, uh you you couldn't show up with uh Blakeman's hat.
• 44:39
SPEAKER_02: You couldn't show up with that hat.
• 44:40
SPEAKER_02: They would be like you're judged.
• 44:41
SPEAKER_02: They would, but they put a big piece of black no is they would tell you take it off and they give you a they give you a white hat.
• 44:49
SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, no, it's cost too much to like do all the editing.
• 44:52
SPEAKER_00: But if Blakeman said, Hey, I want to pay X to be feature on the show, they would that'd be a different story, yeah.
• 44:57
SPEAKER_00: But he would he wouldn't do that because it's a local national show, but interesting.
• 45:01
SPEAKER_01: The the lawyers are we had to just go through like a whole legal briefing, counseling, whatever they want to call it, and they were just telling us like even when you're on the show, like don't make claims because that that could stop you from getting to air.
• 45:12
SPEAKER_01: Because just because you film doesn't mean you're gonna air.
• 45:14
SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, a lot of stuff just stays in the editing room.
• 45:17
  SPEAKER_01: Never makes sense.
• 45:18
SPEAKER_01: Me and Ra, we do a lot of work and never gets on.
• 45:22
SPEAKER_00: Dave, if you're watching, they want more time.
• 45:24
SPEAKER_00: Although the guy said uh that he said that you were a superstar TV celebrity.
• 45:26
SPEAKER_00: Superstar TV celebrity superstar celebrity.
• 45:28
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, that was Dave.
• 45:30
  SPEAKER_01: He went.
• 45:31
SPEAKER_01: Well, you know how these things work, right?
• 45:32
SPEAKER_01: Like once Dave and Jenny kind of like do their thing and they run their course, then next thing you know, it's you're gonna have your spin-off show.
• 45:38
SPEAKER_01: Oh just put that plug in there.
• 45:41
SPEAKER_01: Rob and I will be down in Miami with the coolers.
• 45:44
SPEAKER_01: We knew it, we knew him when we knew him when we do a Bimini boat show as a spin-off.
• 45:48
  SPEAKER_02: Let's go.
• 45:49
  SPEAKER_01: Let's do that.
• 45:50
  SPEAKER_01: I love that.
• 45:51
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, stuff happens.
• 45:52
SPEAKER_01: But I I think like if you could you keep looking at my cooler.
• 45:55
SPEAKER_02: Well, like the boutique level to where people could vote logos.
• 45:59
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's a big deal to a lot of it.
• 46:01
  SPEAKER_02: Personalization.
• 46:02
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the the reality is like we're we're in our mid-40s, and you know, we hope we we're not trying to like scale this up and exit in five years.
• 46:10
SPEAKER_01: Like, we want this to be something like our kids could work at and be part of, and so we're not like we're not, I'm not gonna say that Walmart or Target or guys like that are like a no for us, like never say no, right?
• 46:20
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but like that's not like where we're going first.
• 46:22
  SPEAKER_01: We're good for you.
• 46:23
  SPEAKER_01: It's something sustainable that'll last.
• 46:26
  SPEAKER_01: Yep, you know.
• 46:27
  SPEAKER_01: Yep, it's great concept.
• 46:28
  SPEAKER_00: I love it.
• 46:29
SPEAKER_01: I say that, but if Walmart came along with half a million PO, it didn't require me to do it.
• 46:34
SPEAKER_01: John Ferner, if you're listening and you wanted to make a purchase order, you'd take it.
• 46:37
  SPEAKER_01: No, never, yeah.
• 46:38
SPEAKER_02: I mean, never say but if something like that came, then you're calling Damon for the or I'd be calling a lot of people.
• 46:43
SPEAKER_01: That'd be a huge you need a lot of capital.
• 46:45
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's a lot producer.
• 46:46
  SPEAKER_01: But you know, cooler.
• 46:47
SPEAKER_01: The thing about something like a Walmart, I mean, there's there's so I mean what they I think today, the big news today, or was it what's today, the fourth?
• 46:53
  SPEAKER_01: Yesterday is big news.
• 46:55
SPEAKER_01: They for the first time passed one trillion dollars in marketing capitalization.
• 46:59
SPEAKER_01: So you lenders aren't exactly scared of Walmart going though, you know.
• 47:04
  SPEAKER_01: Nope.
• 47:05
SPEAKER_01: So all right, let's give your website.
• 47:07
SPEAKER_01: How do people find you?
• 47:08
  SPEAKER_01: Social media.
• 47:09
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, real simple, just phone cooler.
• 47:11
SPEAKER_01: Just um we'll we'll eventually navigate over like foam foam.
• 47:14
  SPEAKER_01: Phonecooler.com.
• 47:16
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just phone cooler.com.
• 47:17
SPEAKER_01: If you want any social media, just do you know at foam cooler.
• 47:20
  SPEAKER_01: And that's cooler with a C, not cooler with a K.
• 47:22
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, right.
• 47:23
SPEAKER_01: And that's on that's on Instagram, Facebook, and the web.
• 47:26
SPEAKER_01: Uh TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, yeah, all those things.
• 47:30
SPEAKER_01: And um, you know, we're we're currently overhauling our digital stuff.
• 47:34
  SPEAKER_01: We're getting ready.
• 47:34
SPEAKER_01: We we built out a little studio thing in my garage, and we're gonna start trying to do TikTok lives.
• 47:40
SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna start trying to improve our digital presence.
• 47:43
  SPEAKER_01: I love that.
• 47:43
SPEAKER_01: Um, I think an influencer.
• 47:45
SPEAKER_01: I think the the king of Miami here could really blow you up down there.
• 47:48
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel it.
• 47:50
  SPEAKER_01: Let's go.
• 47:50
  SPEAKER_02: Let's hey, let's let's book a trip.
• 47:52
SPEAKER_00: The trip we were just on.
• 47:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, if you're rolling in with that cooler, every one of those boats is gonna be 100%.
• 47:57
SPEAKER_01: Where'd you get that from?
• 47:58
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well, it's different, right?
• 47:59
  SPEAKER_01: People love different.
• 48:00
SPEAKER_02: Oh, even the marinas that we were at, like, you know, people are looking for stuff like that.
• 48:05
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 48:05
  SPEAKER_01: No, I I'm I'm with you.
• 48:06
  SPEAKER_01: I listen, we're we're planning a trip.
• 48:08
SPEAKER_01: I don't know what month it'll be that we'll be in Clearwater, and then we'll obviously jog over to the other side.
• 48:13
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, um, probably hit a couple places.
• 48:15
SPEAKER_01: But uh as we continue to really try to move more stuff to the US, we have to go vet a couple more factories too.
• 48:21
  SPEAKER_01: Damon's in Miami.
• 48:22
SPEAKER_01: I feel like when you're down there, a little power play meeting, lunch.
• 48:24
  SPEAKER_01: You Chad and Damon.
• 48:26
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we'll go cruise the Miami River.
• 48:28
SPEAKER_01: If his uh if his schedule permits, yeah.
• 48:31
  SPEAKER_01: Love it.
• 48:32
  SPEAKER_01: He's a good Limo Joe.
• 48:34
SPEAKER_01: Like he would be a part.
• 48:35
  SPEAKER_01: Limo Joe.
• 48:36
  SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
• 48:37
SPEAKER_01: A part he we wouldn't get the invite anymore.
• 48:39
SPEAKER_01: We'd be on the outs.
• 48:40
SPEAKER_01: Well, we appreciate you having us here.
• 48:42
  SPEAKER_01: This was awesome.
• 48:42
SPEAKER_01: You know, it's always kind of fun to show what's going on and we don't we don't get enough um enough, we don't get enough product development companies, you know, for being in the very few capital.
• 48:52
  SPEAKER_01: Very few here.
• 48:53
SPEAKER_01: A lot of source and sell, not a lot of product development.
• 48:55
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, so thank you for gifting me a blue cooler that Matt's gonna try to get great idea.
• 49:01
SPEAKER_01: We'll get you all figured out.
• 49:02
  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but uh yeah.
• 49:04
  SPEAKER_01: Good stuff.
• 49:05
  SPEAKER_01: We'll we're happy to support.
• 49:06
  SPEAKER_01: Well, I appreciate that.
• 49:07
  SPEAKER_01: Continue your success.
• 49:08
  SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
• 49:09
SPEAKER_02: Cheers, cheers, cheers, cheers, congrats.
• 49:12
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, don't forget to hydrate.
• 49:13
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, hydrate, hydrate, yeah.
