Transcript
- 0:01SPEAKER_01: Hey y'all, this is Desi.
- 0:03SPEAKER_01: And this is Lisa.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: Welcome to our podcast, Real Talk Real Healing, where we support women through their healing journey.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Through raw stories, authentic dialogue, and uncomfortable but very necessary conversations, we explore the full range of emotions, energetic, spirituality, and physical well-being that come with being human.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: We believe in a world filled with filters and surface-level messages that healing begins with truth and a little bit of magic.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Hello, beautiful souls.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: We are here with another episode of Real Talk Real Healing.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: And we have a special guest on today, Gigi.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: And our intention with bringing on guests is to really have them share their own story, their own healing journey, because it looks a little different from everybody.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: And everyone has their own journey and we want to just hear more about it, where she's come from, and what has led her here.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: So buckle up because this is a great conversation that we're going to be having today.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: And I'm really excited to bring it to you guys.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Yes, I am so excited to introduce you to Gigi because I met Gigi recently, actually, through a mastermind, through one of our mentors.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: And it is really cool to be in a room with a room with other women that are just really doing the thing, really listening to the intuition and really showing up for themselves.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: So Gigi is a registered nurse.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: She's a neurosomatic practitioner and the founder of The Cyclical Women.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: And this is a movement helping women understand their bodies, regulate their nervous systems, and live in rhythm with their cycles through cycle awareness, nervous system work, and simple daily rituals.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: She actually helps women stop fighting their bodies and start trusting them.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: So, GD, welcome on the podcast.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much for being here.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: We so appreciate it.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: We're so excited for this conversation.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: And if you wanted to add anything else about yourself, and then when you're ready, go ahead and answer our question.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: When you hear the words real talk, real healing, what does real healing mean to you?
- 2:05SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: Well, thank you.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: Thank you guys so much, ladies, for having the space that women could share.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Like that is the body of work that I am in.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: It's all about women coming together, sharing in our modern way, but with our ancient roots.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: We've always been doing this sharing, connecting, being with each other.
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: So something else about me.
- 2:32SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm a mom, I'm a homeschooling mom of two.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: I'm married.
- 2:36SPEAKER_02: I um I come from a lot of places, but my roots, I am Dominican.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: So I am an immigrant and uh I'm just oh, and I'm I don't know, I'm really like it's really fascinating to me when I hear the word healing because when I first started this journey, I was like, oh, it's things that I have to do, it's have to do, and I have to do.
- 3:02SPEAKER_02: But the more you know you're in it and the more you evolve, the more you're like, it's the human experience.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: So when I hear real talk, real healing, to me, it's like it's it's it's even the mundane, it's the being.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: It's uh it's just being a human being and just experiencing all of it and stripping down the layers of what society has told us that we had to be in order to be worthy of having our own experiences.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: So good.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's something I always say too is like society told us this lie, get married, have babies, buy house, all the things, and like, why aren't I happy?
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: So we would love to know a little bit about your journey and we'd love to start before your healing, right?
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: What did life look like?
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: What patterns were playing out?
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Like what seemed normal, and like what were you struggling with behind the scenes before you found your path to healing?
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: Oof, this is a loaded question.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: Do we have three hours?
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: Seriously.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: So I shared a little bit of like I'm an immigrant.
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: I grew up in a very dysfunctional house.
- 4:14SPEAKER_02: I grew up very abused as a child, and I grew up without a mother, so I have really deep hunger wounds that I am forever unlaying.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: And I always felt different.
- 4:25SPEAKER_02: I grew up in a very Christian, very Pentecostal.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: Have you guys ever heard of that religion?
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: It's like very strict, right?
- 4:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, very strict.
- 4:33SPEAKER_02: I grew up in this um religion, and there were so many rules, and I always felt different.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: I I always had some, I had too many questions in my head about what was happening.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: And it wasn't until like, you know, first of all, I was the kid that even though I grew up very Christian, I always had like my spell book, and I was writing spells and doing this and being outside and connecting to nature and doing the weirdest shit.
- 5:01SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: And looking back now, I'm like, but but of course, but in that moment, I just felt so different.
- 5:09SPEAKER_02: I was bullied in school.
- 5:12SPEAKER_02: Um, I was beat, I was abused physically, emotionally, mentally, so many different, so many different ways.
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: And I grew up and I went searching for my mom, and I realized that what I was searching for wasn't the fairy tale that I thought it was.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: So that was a whole nother thing that I had to go through.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: And through it all, through all the process, I remember like there's always these voices inside of me that guided me.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: I didn't really know it, right?
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: But it guided me into where to go next, what to do next to avoid dangerous situations.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: I look back now and I'm like, oh, okay.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: It was because I was listening to my intuition.
- 5:55SPEAKER_02: So when I was in my early 20s, what really like sparked this, I guess you would call it like a spiritual awakening was a friend of mine, maybe I was 19, he invited me over to a party of a friend of his, and I never really share this.
- 6:10SPEAKER_02: So this is interesting.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: Um, he invited me to a friend of his, and she was just like this witchy girl living in her own with her sage and her things, and they're outside barefoot, and it was like a vibe.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: And I was like, what is this place?
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: Who are these people?
- 6:27SPEAKER_02: And it was kind of like a taste to me, right?
- 6:29SPEAKER_02: Like how liberated one could actually be in their own body.
- 6:34SPEAKER_02: And that like was the first layer.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: You know, it comes in layers.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: It was kind of the first layer.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: Um, fast forward many years, um, I met my husband, we got married.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: In between there, I dealt with so much trauma, right?
- 6:51SPEAKER_02: Had therapists, many medications, many medications, birth control, all the things that now I talk so passionately about because I went through it.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: I don't talk just because like I heard it or like what's trendy.
- 7:03SPEAKER_02: Like these are experiences that I've had.
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: Um, I met my husband, we had our first kid, then we had our second, and I fell into a deep like postpartum anxiety real bad.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: And even though I thought I had like healed all these childhood wounds, like all of this shit kept coming up, and I'm like, I'm about to lose my mind.
- 7:24SPEAKER_02: And you know, I had to take a look at myself because then I started self-soothing through food, through like manic, like stimming and like really bad, like dysfunction and like always a mess and disheveled, no kind of structure.
- 7:41SPEAKER_02: And somewhere along those lines, I decided that's what it is, right?
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: We always make a choice.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: I decided that that wasn't the version of me that I wanted to live, and a change happened, right?
- 7:57SPEAKER_02: And little by little things started to fall into place.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: Of course, like I went on a weight loss journey that was like my gateway drug, I like to call it weight loss journey.
- 8:06SPEAKER_02: Um, and then I, you know, I had been a registered nurse for many years, so I studied a lot of the science behind the woman's nervous system, the women's like health and cycles and hormones and stuff like that on a very surface level.
- 8:22SPEAKER_02: But it wasn't until I started going through my own process and going through the own journey that I got really deep into it, and everything has just unfolded in that way.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: One thing at a time, one thing at a time.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: What's happened?
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: So, would you say that moment with the postpartum?
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: It's like there was layers and it was like things were happening and like slowly happening, but then like that was the moment where like everything changed for you.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Like, I can't keep doing this anymore.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, yes.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: It was literally like a an aha moment.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: I remember the exact moment.
- 8:55SPEAKER_02: I was walking up the steps.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: Um, we had like a double deck with our pool, and I was walking up the step.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: It was three steps, girl, three steps.
- 9:02SPEAKER_02: And I reached at the top and I was like, I am so exhausted holding this kid, right?
- 9:07SPEAKER_02: And I took a look at myself and it was just like it's the exhaustion.
- 9:12SPEAKER_02: It wasn't just weight, it was like it was a heaviness, it was too much.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: And I I felt that in that moment, in that precise moment was the moment that I was like, this is this is it.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: That's it.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Oh well, and what what what was the next step after that moment and be so curious?
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Like, what would you like to do?
- 9:29SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: So it was messy, it was crazy.
- 9:33SPEAKER_02: So I was like, I have to lose weight because honestly, like to me, that was what it was.
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: Look back now in hindsight, I see the whole picture clearer.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: But at the time I was like, I need to lose weight.
- 9:45SPEAKER_02: So I embarked on this weight loss journey and I tried it all.
- 9:48SPEAKER_02: I tried the Weight Watchers, I tried the everything.
- 9:52SPEAKER_02: It was like I would lose 10 pounds, gain 10 pounds.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: Like I was just it was it was it was a roller coaster until I found something that worked.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: But I think the reason that it worked was because I started pairing it with like the inner work, being with myself, meditation.
- 10:10SPEAKER_02: Um, I started doing breath work.
- 10:12unknown: Yeah.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:15SPEAKER_02: Any strategy works if the energy behind it is correct.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: Well, right.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: I mean, so Lisa and I, we took our first certification, which is a lot about the weight, and it's like we think it's a physical weight because of what we're eating, and of course, that plays a role, but like the energetic weight and crap that we're carrying around in our bodies is actually sometimes even more than it is than the physical weight, you know?
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: And so that's so beautiful.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Thank you for sharing that and just sending you a big hug and you know, the past versions of yourself.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: So beautiful.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: Thank you for sharing all that.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: Okay, so so that was the moment that changed.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Um, and then tell us more about like what actually happened in your healing.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Like you started breath work, like what were some of the next things after that?
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: And then, like, what surprised you most about your healing?
- 11:00SPEAKER_02: So I started doing breath work, and I would notice a shift.
- 11:05SPEAKER_02: And there was a specific session that I did on, I did on myself.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: It was like a YouTube channel video, whatever, and I literally had an orgasm.
- 11:13SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: I love this.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: Uh-huh.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: She's like, interesting.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: I like the way this is going.
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: So I I felt so it was so crazy, it was so out of body.
- 11:23SPEAKER_02: I've never felt like I've never felt blissed like that before.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I need more of this.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: And of course, I just started like putting it out there.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: Like, a lot of the times when we don't voice our desires, even to ourselves, we never get what we want.
- 11:43SPEAKER_02: A lot of us don't even know what we want.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: But I started like really like getting to know what I want.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Like, I want more of this, and I want to be able to tap in.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: And crazily enough, I was scrolling Instagram one day.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: That's how every great story starts.
- 12:00SPEAKER_02: I started, I scrolled Instagram one day, and this girl popped up, and I was like, oh my gosh, something about her energy, something about the way she spoke, something about her was just like, and she was doing some kind of challenge.
- 12:12SPEAKER_02: She was going through her own thing.
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: She was doing some kind of challenge where she was showing up every day, and every day I would be like, I gotta go run to see what she has to say because what she's singing is so like it was just so resonating for me.
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: And I ended up investing in her program.
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: She had a breath work certification.
- 12:33SPEAKER_02: I invested in that.
- 12:33SPEAKER_02: I was like, I'm doing it.
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: This is a sign.
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: I'm doing it.
- 12:38SPEAKER_02: And through her, I met one of my now mentors.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: And then so before that, actually, let's reverse a little bit.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: Remember when I was telling you about like the weight loss journey?
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: I was self-soothing with food.
- 12:52SPEAKER_02: I thought I had an addiction problem.
- 12:54SPEAKER_02: So I remember one time I went on YouTube, YouTube was like YouTube University guys.
- 12:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: And I was like, meditation for addiction, because now I'm into meditation, right?
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: Meditation for addiction.
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: And this addictions career came up, and I was like, ooh, this.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: So I started doing it and I did it for like 40 days.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: And I felt like there was such a profound shift.
- 13:19SPEAKER_02: And I kind of dabbled in it.
- 13:21SPEAKER_02: I never, I, you know, I don't know what was happening, but like I felt it and it felt strange and it felt weird.
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: And oh my god, what is this?
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: And so fast, but I never really like dove deep into it.
- 13:33SPEAKER_02: I just kind of it was just kind of something that I did in passing and kind of just forgot.
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: Well, this girl, while she was um teaching her stuff, she would add kundalini into it.
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: And then I was like, Oh, I remember this.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: Like, I want I want to learn more.
- 13:48SPEAKER_02: And I started doing it, and then I I Lisa, you're doing that, you're doing TAC, right?
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Or you did you graduate?
- 13:54SPEAKER_02: No, I'm finishing up right now.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: Okay, so I did the certification that she did, the trifecta alchemy, and I was like, okay, like this is it, this is what's going on.
- 14:06SPEAKER_02: This is what I needed.
- 14:07SPEAKER_02: Like, I feel like it was just such a great tool for me in my own journey, and it started unraveling parts of me that were stuck in survival mode for a very long time, and it gave me the space and the safety in my body to really just be present with things that I was never present with, even though I thought that I had done healing around it.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's interesting how like different layers come up at different times for different versions of ourselves.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: You're like, I thought I dealt with that with this already.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: Like, what is happening?
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: Like an onion.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: Amen.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh, great, here's another layer.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Exciting.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: But you know, you know, one of our mentors also says, like, the lucky ones pay attention, and then it's like when something you would normally react to, you don't anymore.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: And you're like, all right, we reached a new level, let's go.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: This works pain off.
- 14:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: And that's how it was for me.
- 14:59SPEAKER_02: And it was so interesting because, like, at the beginning of my journey, if you would have been like kundalini certification or whatever, I would have been like, um, excuse me, I'm sorry, what?
- 15:11SPEAKER_02: But like as it went through, as I kept going and doing the action and showing up and taking the next step, the things that were unfolding for me made sense.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: Definitely.
- 15:24SPEAKER_01: I to really feel you on that too, because it's like every, you know, we're in the healing space and we're in these healing journeys, but doesn't mean that we're we're done healing.
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: Like, especially with us like being at the forefront a lot of times and like sharing with clients and doing the things, like, I think that is the biggest thing.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: And that's what I've learned in in tack right now, is like it's about the consistency, it's about showing up for yourself every single day.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: And every day is not going to be rainbows and butterflies.
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: It is about working through those things that that layer is peeling back, and it's like it might be coming up again, but it's a different version of you.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: And it's like, how can you release that emotion now and as this version?
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: Because when you do, you start to release maybe that weight or release that anger, release that whatever, and you become a better person for the people around you and for yourself.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: So things start to happen and shift a lot quicker when you're able to sit with it, you know?
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: What would you say the hardest thing you had to face about yourself so far?
- 16:28SPEAKER_02: Oh, okay.
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: So I just realized that I didn't answer that last question that you said you asked, right?
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: Like, what was what did I find the most surprising?
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, okay.
- 16:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay.
- 16:38SPEAKER_02: So what I found the most for surprising was my resistance.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Ooh.
- 16:44SPEAKER_02: Like the resistance to the work, just the resistance to my own like journey, like to my own, how do I explain it?
- 16:52SPEAKER_02: Like the resistance that I felt to what was happening in my life.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: Like, so I say this because so my husband, like, he has told me this, like, since I've been on this journey and stuff, but he's like, You're not the same woman that I married.
- 17:05SPEAKER_02: And I meant that in the best of ways.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Like, I was very reactive, I was very like masculine, like, very like, girl, don't mess with me because I'm you, you know, like I was very aggressive, aggressive, that's the word.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: And as time has gone by, I'm more like receptive, more open, more like, oh, everyone's on their journey.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: That's my own, well, we're all on our journey.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: Now it's like it's a different vibe, right?
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: And at first I was very even resistant to the fact that I was very aggressive.
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: I'm not what you're talking about, like you know, like I was very resistant to the idea that there are parts of me that I need to sit with and get to know a little bit because they're driving the bus and they have no business driving this bus right now like that.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: So to me, that was very interesting, and also that the more I leaned back and surrendered, the more I felt healing happening, as opposed to like, I have to do this and I have to do that, and I have to do the shadow work and all of this stuff, and all of the things, and all the stuff, right?
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: Um, there's this uh song lyrics from this girl that I really like, and the lyrics are like, my purpose isn't to heal, it's just to be, and that was kind of like a ticking moment, like it doesn't have to be so hard.
- 18:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, at least for me, that's how I felt, right?
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: Like I was making this wait, I was making it another project.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you you're very similar to me, where I was like very aggressive and I'm about to pop off and tell you how it is.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: And it's like, yeah, definitely not the life that I I wanted to live or the person I wanted to be, but with all of the trauma and everything we had been through, like she's just who we were, and so it's beautiful that your husband can recognize that and see that and be like, I loved you then, but I love you so much now.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Definitely.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: How long have you guys been married?
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: Uh 10 no, we've been married nine years married, but we've been together since 2015, so 11 years incomplete.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: And how old are your children?
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: My daughter is nine and my son is seven.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: It's been a very interesting journey.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: I bet, I bet.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: And what would you say the hardest part was?
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: Was that like your hardest part?
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Like that aggressive part of yourself that you had to face.
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and also just um like surrendering to to what is like so one thing that like you know, when I went when I started on my journey and I started being like more, I don't know, when I started becoming more aware, that's the word, when I started becoming more aware, then I started becoming more aware of other people's patterns, like my husband, for instance, and I would be like, Well, yeah, well, this is not how we feel.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: Like, how who am I to tell someone how they should feel?
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: Like, anywho, um, so that was very challenging.
- 20:27SPEAKER_02: Um and for me, just to share like what really cracked it open for me, that part of it that really improved our relationship, I guess, and the fact that I am not like trying to make my journey his and having to like you don't have to believe the things that I believe and do the things that I do.
- 20:48SPEAKER_02: Like, it's the core values.
- 20:50SPEAKER_02: It was, I did this um immersive experience with Tony Robbins, but it wasn't him teaching, it was like one of the people that he had, one of his coaches, and she was like, You stay in your bubble, like, and the energy expands.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: You don't try and go control the outcome of other people's lives and try to tell people how to live and what to do.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: And I started really paying attention to that.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: And as I started just being just like I would with the parts of me, like I'm not trying to shame them, I'm just trying to be loving, supportive, and there for them.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: I started doing that as well.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: Like my husband would say stuff to me, for example, I have rituals, I have many rituals, and I, one of them is like blowing the cinnamon inside the house on the first of the and I would always be like, cinnamon.
- 21:43SPEAKER_02: And he would be like, You're crazy, what is going on?
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: Whatever.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: And I never pushed it because I learned, right?
- 21:49SPEAKER_02: I learned that everyone is on their journey, and little by little he'll be like, wait, I want to do it too, and then a couple of it, and now like this is a thing that We all do together.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: So it kind of you know, like it's involved.
- 22:03SPEAKER_02: Like it's just like little things like that that you start realizing that you influence the people around you without having to force and grip and control.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: Control is a really big one for me.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Mm-hmm.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: Same.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: Same.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: Yes, for sure.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: Especially because you want them to come along with you.
- 22:25SPEAKER_01: And you're like, just do the work with me.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: Like it's gonna change your life.
- 22:28SPEAKER_01: And like we know the power of it and the magic of it, but it's like they're just like, Yeah, you're crazy.
- 22:34SPEAKER_01: Like, what are you doing?
- 22:35SPEAKER_01: Or it's like how it works.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's like they they don't resonate with it yet.
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: But when they're ready, they're ready, you know, and they'll come around.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: And same thing at my house, too.
- 22:44SPEAKER_01: Like, my boyfriend's a little, a little spiritual as well, but like, you know, we do our different things, and then her his son starts to pick up a little bit in the sage and you know, whatever, and they're just like, okay, Lisa's a little weird, but like it's kind of cool too.
- 23:01SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Uh, I mean, by proxy, they're with us, though, like gonna get the upgrades, you know, and so that's beautiful.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: So you talked about control a little bit, and one of the questions that we have here is what patterns don't you control anymore?
- 23:14SPEAKER_02: I don't control my cycle.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: This is part of a big part of my work.
- 23:18SPEAKER_02: It's a big part of my uh it's a big part of my journey.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: So I used to think that, you know, I had to control, especially when I first started in the like I started helping women with their cycles, and I felt like, okay, if I'm helping women with their cycles, my cycle has to be on point.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: True.
- 23:39SPEAKER_02: Like, you know how we do that to ourselves, right?
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: Because then we get that it's not necessarily imposture syndrome, but but it's what it's what we call imposture syndrome, where we're like, well, I have to be on the straight and narrow, especially if you have integrity, which I do have a lot of.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: Like you have to be, you have to have be on the straight and narrow in order to teach something.
- 24:02SPEAKER_02: Like you have to know everything before you can teach.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: You have to, you know what I'm saying?
- 24:06SPEAKER_02: So I don't control that anymore.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: I lean into it, and the more I lean into it and honor it and give myself permission to be where I'm at, a lot of things have changed, you know, because when you release control, you release an invisible grip and blockage from things coming your way and things exiting your way, because sometimes that needs to happen as well.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: Um I don't control my husband in that way, like you do people, like do what you, you know.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: Um, and I think that's that's worked a lot.
- 24:44SPEAKER_02: Um, and I just don't control I don't want to control my perspective of other people's opinions and internal landscape.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: Like that's none of my business.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: So good.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: Thank you for sharing.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: Well, I would love to hear a little bit more about your work and what brought you to like teaching women about cycles.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: And I think it's it's such an important conversation.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: And I don't know what era you grew up in, but like that was not a conversation, you know, that was being had when you know we were first having our periods, and now there's just so much more information, and I just know like how important it is, like not pushing yourself and all the things.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: So I would love to hear a little bit more about that if you could share.
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, absolutely.
- 25:29SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 25:29SPEAKER_02: Thank you for letting me do that.
- 25:31SPEAKER_02: So I came into the coaching world, I call it the coaching world, like the online space, as a registered nurse who did not feel aligned in what she was doing in the pharmaceutical business, big corporate model that I was in.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: And I wanted to help people.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: Like I've always wanted to help people, it's always been my calling.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: I've known this since I was six.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: I knew I was gonna be a nurse since I was six years old.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 25:58SPEAKER_02: Um, and I came into the coaching and I didn't know anything, and this was a brand new world for me.
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: I'm like, I don't even know.
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: People would be online helping people, like what?
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: So I found a coach, and actually, I found someone that I really resonated with, but I couldn't afford her.
- 26:19SPEAKER_02: She didn't have payment plans, she didn't have it, it was astronomical.
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: I was like, people pay this, but I was like mind-blown.
- 26:29SPEAKER_02: So I went the other route and I found a coach, you know, because you're now you're looking for things.
- 26:34SPEAKER_02: And I found the coach and very masculine, I wasn't really like aware, very aware at that time.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: And he was like, Well, you lost 50 pounds, so you should teach women how to lose weight.
- 26:49SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 26:50SPEAKER_02: Because that's what you got to get taught.
- 26:52SPEAKER_02: Like, what's the journey that you were on?
- 26:53SPEAKER_02: And then you help people on the same thing that you were on, and that's great because that like it was my gateway, so it made perfect sense.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: While I was doing this work of helping women with losing weight, with their nutrition, with whatever this and that, I started noticing like sometimes you can, and sometimes you just don't want to, like, you're not the same every day, like every week we change, we ebb and we flow.
- 27:19SPEAKER_02: And I noticed that within myself through so through this journey, like I've been noticing this, right?
- 27:24SPEAKER_02: So I started noticing within myself, and I started making changes for myself, guys.
- 27:29SPEAKER_02: I thought I made up the word cycle thinking, I did not.
- 27:33SPEAKER_02: That's how like I I was like downloaded, yeah, guys.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I did not make it up, but anyway, um, this is a whole thing.
- 27:47SPEAKER_02: But I started doing it within myself, and then I would share it a little bit here and there with the women that I was helping.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: But the real breakthrough came for me when um my coaching business was like very slow.
- 27:58SPEAKER_02: So I started working with a friend of mine in her company, and she would tell me this and she would tell me that about how she was feeling, and she was very uh outcome and result-oriented.
- 28:09SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, girl, you need to slow down.
- 28:13SPEAKER_02: And I would give her all these tips and all these things that I was doing.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: And girl, you need to get yourself a journal about your emotions, and we would do this, right?
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: And I was just teaching her the things that I had learned and the things that I had moved through and the things that I remembered, thinking that I made this up.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: And she six months later tells me, Oh my God, I realize that when I pay attention to my cycle and I slow down during X phase, I come back stronger.
- 28:43SPEAKER_02: You should be teaching everyone this.
- 28:45SPEAKER_02: And I was like, I know, everybody should know this.
- 28:47SPEAKER_02: All women should know this.
- 28:49SPEAKER_02: And then her and I went out to eat one day with her mom, and we were talking about this because she was just like thanking me and talking to me about this in front of her mom.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: And her mom, I just I didn't know, I couldn't teach you what I didn't know.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: And then it just sparked this whole conversation about the gap in education and the gap in really like what women understand about their cycle.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: So at the time, I had kind of transitioned from weight loss coaching to self-care for busy moms, like literally, like I had this evolution.
- 29:23SPEAKER_02: I went from weight loss to self-care for busy mom because like now I'm getting closer to where I really want to be.
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: And then after that, um, and sitting with it a little bit, and then one time I was in bed with my husband, and he's like, I was telling him about this and about how because everyone in my household knows how intense I am, but I was telling him about how important it is for women to understand their cycles, and he's just like, I thought that women just put a tampon on and keep playing tennis.
- 29:56SPEAKER_02: I was like, excuse me, like it was it was a light bulb that was like this is literally what they show little girls.
- 30:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, for that tampax commercial, like he was referring to.
- 30:11SPEAKER_02: I was like, I need to be teaching this, like it's a light bulb moment.
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: I was like, I need to be teaching this, and that's how like I decided that I was going to start talking about periods and start talking about cycles because like we should all be privy to this conversation.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: And I started my Facebook group at the time, I called it the bloody truth because I was like so um it started off from there just giving like basic education.
- 30:40SPEAKER_02: I started going out into the community, I would go to like health fairs and help the kids like learn about their periods and learn about their cycles and stuff like that.
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: And it has evolved, and that's how like I've gone into this work, and then through my own evolution of going deeper into the work, now I'm going into the somatics parts, right?
- 31:01SPEAKER_02: Now I'm going more into the nervous system regulation part.
- 31:04SPEAKER_02: And the more I've evolved and the more I've learned, I've taken it with me and have evolved in my work where it's not just like I teach you about your period and the four phases.
- 31:13SPEAKER_02: Like I literally just had a masterclass about manifesting using your menstrual cycle.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: So fun.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:22SPEAKER_02: It's I'm sorry, what?
- 31:24SPEAKER_02: But who doesn't want that?
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: Like, and like yeah, so that's been the journey.
- 31:32SPEAKER_01: I feel like too, it's like it's great that you're saying this and you're doing this to help people like manifest and like you know, work with the energy, not against it, you know.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: I think that's the biggest thing.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: And um I think that we just we make things so complicated, is what I keep like, right?
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: And like you mentioned this a little bit earlier, too.
- 31:53SPEAKER_01: It's like just simplify, just listen to your intuition, just listen to like what you naturally have instead of pushing against it and just making up this whole dramatic story that like is not gonna work because it's not aligned.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: It's not working with your energy, right?
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, which is very interesting, actually, that you say that because this is why the work that I'm doing I feel is so important because yes, just listen to your intuition, just listen to your energy, just stop working against it.
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: But we, as a lot of women in society, don't even know what their intuition sounds like or brings them pleasure.
- 32:31SPEAKER_02: I had this conversation inside one of my programs today, like, you know, like what make I don't even know what makes me feel good.
- 32:39SPEAKER_02: I don't even know what what I need.
- 32:41SPEAKER_02: And it's because we've been so disconnected from our own rhythm for so long, and it's not just us, it's now our mom and our mom's moms, and now it's a generation of generation after generation of disconnection that we carry so deeply inside of us that it really is not as simple as like listen, but it's like but it is, it really is that simple, right?
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we complicate things as humans, that's for sure.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: It's like, wait a minute, like if I just get down to the basics, or if I just look at this with a like a four-year-old's point of view, like how can we simplify this and not make it so complicated?
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Um, I would love to hear like what would be one thing if you could tell like a woman about her cycle, like that you would share.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, my number one thing is begin with awareness, just pay attention and not just pay attention, like, oh, the app told me that my period is three days, but like pay attention.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: My thing is grab a journal, grab a little notebook every single day, track what cycle day you're in.
- 33:49SPEAKER_02: Your cycle starts the first day of your bleed, that's day one.
- 33:53SPEAKER_02: Okay, track yeah, the first day of your full bleed, that's day one of your cycle.
- 33:57SPEAKER_02: So not like the spotting, but like the actual heavy bleed, okay.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: The actual full bleed.
- 34:01SPEAKER_02: So if you were like spotting the day before, you count it the day that it starts heavy, like the real the bleed, you know, not just um, that's day one.
- 34:12SPEAKER_02: Track your prominent mood for the day.
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: Go through all these different moods throughout the day, but just track how did you feel today?
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: Did you feel moody?
- 34:23SPEAKER_02: Did you feel like excitable?
- 34:25SPEAKER_02: Did you feel steady?
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: Track your energy level, right?
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: Whatever the the most prominent energy that you had today, what was that?
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: Mood, energy, and any kind of physical symptoms.
- 34:38SPEAKER_02: I had cramps, I had back pain, I had headaches, I had, you know, um nausea, my boobs hurt, like just track that cervical mucus could be in that.
- 34:49SPEAKER_02: Um, but some women, especially if they're just starting, it's kind of like, oh, I don't want to look at that.
- 34:54SPEAKER_02: But you know, like I know, but happening.
- 34:59SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 34:59SPEAKER_02: But um that simple notion of putting pen to paper or even on the notes app.
- 35:05SPEAKER_02: When I first started this, I started doing on my notes app.
- 35:08SPEAKER_02: I would just write like on my notes app, and I had that whole thing.
- 35:13SPEAKER_02: And then like when it comes back around the next time you could go back and now you could see, like, oh, around this time every month, I feel XYZ.
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: What can I do to support myself during this time so that it doesn't suck?
- 35:30SPEAKER_00: So it's really uh what you're saying is like I have 30 days now.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: I can kind of go back and be like, okay, what can I expect on this day, and even maybe even plan a little bit for it, or maybe give myself some more nourishing, some more protein, some more self-care on those days.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: And then the days that I know I'm feeling really good, I'm like recording the thing, I'm on, yeah, doing the thing.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, I love this.
- 35:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:50SPEAKER_02: And that is so simple, just like that, right?
- 35:54SPEAKER_02: Because that's when you start noticing your patterns.
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: And you know, it might take a like maybe like two to three cycles for you to really start noticing a real like solid pattern, but you will start noticing the signs, and then you could do something that I call shadow stalking, your luteal phase, where like before, so this is the story, right?
- 36:17SPEAKER_02: I used to have very severe luteal rage, is what I called it.
- 36:21SPEAKER_02: Five days before my period, me and my husband were getting divorced.
- 36:24SPEAKER_02: I did not like hated him.
- 36:26SPEAKER_02: I was like the papers.
- 36:29SPEAKER_02: And it wasn't until I started paying attention and noticing the pattern that every day, like five days, like to the T, girl.
- 36:37SPEAKER_02: It was like this is crazy.
- 36:40SPEAKER_02: I started noticing this.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: It wasn't until I started noticing it, and then I started being like asking, like, what is what's happening?
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: Why is this coming up?
- 36:49SPEAKER_02: And then supporting myself through these different phases, like that doesn't happen anymore.
- 36:55SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 36:57SPEAKER_02: Like it's huge, it doesn't happen anymore.
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, literally my marriage.
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's beautiful.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: I've noticed that too, like in certain phases, like you know, because of course, with all of us having like a background in coaching and stuff now, it's like I realized when I would hit that Ludial phase right before my period and stuff, I would get like these stories would come out of nowhere and I would be like, just like the littlest thing would happen, and I'd be like, oh my God, I don't belong.
- 37:29SPEAKER_01: They don't they don't like me anymore.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: Like I'd be like, this is terrible.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: Like it would just go like so far spiral.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: I'd be crying.
- 37:36SPEAKER_01: I'm like, what is happening right now?
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: Like, this is not normal for me.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: And I've definitely had a few moments where I'm like, these thoughts are not mine.
- 37:44SPEAKER_01: Like, and I'm just like, okay, let's let's just, you know, softness, grace with yourself, because you know, we're not the only ones that experience it.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: And I wanted to ask you, like now, especially too, even after like TAC and doing the practices consistently, because I think learning from tack too, like having these practices and journaling those, right?
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: Like noticing sensations.
- 38:05SPEAKER_01: And after so long, it's like you do again, pattern, just like noticing your patterns and seeing the shifts.
- 38:11SPEAKER_01: And I actually feel like I'm I'm on my belie now.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, this one was probably the easiest one since I started.
- 38:17SPEAKER_01: I'm actually like, and Steve's kind of like, you're not PMSing like you normally would.
- 38:22SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, and he's like, Are you like, are I are you gonna bleed?
- 38:26SPEAKER_01: And like I had a couple of moments, of course, you know, but I'm like, I recognize them.
- 38:30SPEAKER_01: I'm like, wow, like this is like the easiest, you know, cycle that I've had so far since.
- 38:36SPEAKER_01: So would you say like very similar, like where it was like just that consistency, even of like doing the practices and the work that we're doing, you know?
- 38:45SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 38:46SPEAKER_02: And so one thing that I'm really big on is the nervous system.
- 38:50SPEAKER_02: The nervous system is the driver of your whole hormonal show.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: So I like to look at it like this.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: And I actually started talking about this in this way because I put my kids in music class, but think of your nervous system as the conductor of the band and your hormones are all the little instruments, right?
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: The one that's actually conducting the flow of the music is your nervous system.
- 39:13SPEAKER_02: If you're in a nervous system state of reactivity, stress, overload all the time, the mucat music isn't gonna sound good.
- 39:21SPEAKER_02: Like everybody's all over the place because the conductor is like off on wah wa land and the musicians are just kind of doing their own thing, correct?
- 39:31SPEAKER_02: Um, so your nervous system is the one that's the driver of how the music flows.
- 39:37SPEAKER_02: So when you are regulating your nervous system through the work that we do inside of TAC, through these different Kreas, through these different practices, you are setting a different baseline, you're rewiring your nervous system where it's not as reactive, which means that cortisol goes down, yeah, oxycosing goes up, right?
- 39:58SPEAKER_02: And because of that, everything else flows like a chain reaction.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: That's beautiful.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I started taking magnesium to help sleeping and some other supplements, and I've even noticed a difference with like supplements that can help that kind of stuff.
- 40:13SPEAKER_00: Like it's been, I also too have that like same thing.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: I'm like, why are you breathing?
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: And why are you breathing so loud, you know?
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: And uh so also like the education for men, too, because that hasn't really been a thing.
- 40:25SPEAKER_00: And so I know that Jason's had more than a few um videos that I've sent him just so they can have an understanding as well, because they don't even understand like what we're going through.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: And it's like literally, well, I don't know exactly all of the chemicals, but like our what is it, what is the hormone that gets really low?
- 40:41SPEAKER_00: Is it progesterone or that like so you don't have like tolerance for anything?
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: All of them.
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: So just like a quick 30 second of what happens, right?
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: Hormonally.
- 40:51SPEAKER_02: So when we have our period, our bleed, our hormones dip progesterone, estrogen, all of our hormones get to the lowest part.
- 40:58SPEAKER_02: This is a great time, actually, because there's not so much noise.
- 41:02SPEAKER_02: Hormones, I like to say, like they're not just chemical messengers, they carry energy, and sometimes these energies are loud.
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: Like estrogen starts to rise during after your period, during your follicular phase.
- 41:14SPEAKER_02: I call them like the season.
- 41:16SPEAKER_02: So winter is like menstrual is like your inner winter.
- 41:21SPEAKER_02: Everything is low, shut down, home, no one is like out and about.
- 41:25SPEAKER_02: As spring comes in, your hormones start to rise, your follicular stimulating hormones start to rise, your um, your FSH, your estrogen starts to rise.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: Um, as it starts to rise, you start to come online.
- 41:38SPEAKER_02: All of a sudden, you're like, oh, I like people again.
- 41:41SPEAKER_02: Hello.
- 41:42SPEAKER_02: Hi, it's me.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: Um, you start to feel that energy because estrogen is a very um estrogen is a very uh extroverted energy that it brings to the party, right?
- 41:53SPEAKER_02: So when estrogen rises, you feel magnetic.
- 41:56SPEAKER_02: Estrogen peaks in your ovulatory phase.
- 41:59SPEAKER_02: Estrogen is what makes your voice change to a little bit more sultry during your ovulation because you're attracting a mate.
- 42:06SPEAKER_02: She's the energy of that divine, like, oh, let's get it on type of deal, right?
- 42:12SPEAKER_02: Testosterone also rises during this peak phase.
- 42:16SPEAKER_02: Testosterone is a masculine energy that increases your motivation.
- 42:20SPEAKER_02: You're motivated to go get reproducing, right?
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: You're motivated.
- 42:25SPEAKER_02: But what happens is summer only lasts so long.
- 42:28SPEAKER_02: I call like ovulatory phase summertime.
- 42:31SPEAKER_02: When summer is at its peak, you feel so incredible, you feel so amazing, you have all of this energy, all of these hormones are online, you're energized, you feel amazing, but summer doesn't last forever.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: Ovulation is actually the the shortest phase of your cycle.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: It's like about four days.
- 42:48SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 42:49SPEAKER_02: 48 hours, really, but then four days for like you know, the before and after kind of a fact as it goes up and down.
- 42:54SPEAKER_02: After that, estrogen takes a nosedive.
- 42:58SPEAKER_02: So a lot of times women feel like that, because think about it, estrogen, your party girl just left the party.
- 43:07SPEAKER_02: So now it's like you know, when that one person leaves the party and you're like, oh, I could feel like the shift in energy, and progesterone comes online.
- 43:16SPEAKER_02: So when progesterone comes online, progesterone is also a like a feminine energy, but she's more like calm, cool, collected, chill, like let's focus and nest and organize and simplify and let's chill out and relax on the couch type of deal.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: Um, really, in our luteal phase is when we are supposed to feel the most calm.
- 43:40SPEAKER_02: It's just that we live so dysregulated from a constant chronic state of cortisol, which has the same building blocks as progesterone.
- 43:49SPEAKER_02: So when cortisol is overbearing, too much stress, your progesterone doesn't get a chance to really do its job.
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: And she gets bullied by cortisol, then you feel.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: Depleted.
- 44:01SPEAKER_02: You feel those PMS symptoms.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: You feel not like yourself.
- 44:06SPEAKER_02: Um, when estrogen decreases after ovulation, she kind of just like fluctuates a little bit, but very low, low vibes.
- 44:16SPEAKER_02: Like it's not like how she was before.
- 44:19SPEAKER_02: So if you notice, that's a lot of activity going on here, right?
- 44:23SPEAKER_02: And with all of that activity, because our hormones is what tells our body what to do in every way, shape, or form.
- 44:30SPEAKER_02: It's what tells your digestion system what to do, your heart rate, your temperature.
- 44:36SPEAKER_02: When progesterone comes online, your temperature spikes, right?
- 44:40SPEAKER_02: Like there's a whole process of things going on.
- 44:43SPEAKER_02: So of course, the whole energy shifts.
- 44:45SPEAKER_02: It's not just biology, like your whole energy shift.
- 44:49SPEAKER_02: You're literally a different person, right?
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: Because now there's a whole thing going on that's completely different.
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: So yeah.
- 44:57SPEAKER_00: So good.
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: Thank you for sharing.
- 44:58SPEAKER_00: I feel like we can continue to like talk about this conversation forever.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: Uh it's an important conversation too.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: So I'm so like grateful that you were here and to share this.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: Um, do we have any other questions that we wanted to to talk ask her?
- 45:13SPEAKER_01: Um I guess if you have any like last things about like your heal, your healing journey, and just like anything that can resonate with somebody with like real talk, real healing, like you know, just let it whatever comes to mind.
- 45:27SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 45:28SPEAKER_02: So one thing that I really want to say, and it's just because this conversation came up for me recently with someone, is that like your healing your journey is your own.
- 45:35SPEAKER_02: It doesn't have to look like anybody else's.
- 45:38SPEAKER_02: It doesn't have to be like just because this girl got into this XYZ, like it means that I have to do that.
- 45:45SPEAKER_02: Like, there are a million tons of modalities that you could use that will work for you.
- 45:50SPEAKER_02: Like, it's just being open to wherever your journey takes you.
- 45:55SPEAKER_02: Like, my journey took me on this whole adventure, and yours could look different.
- 46:01SPEAKER_02: Like, we're all we're all on our healing path in our own way, and um just having compassion with yourself and knowing that you're not just this linear one, especially women, like we're not linear beings, like we're super multidimensional.
- 46:19SPEAKER_02: Now we got this rhythm where we are completely different every week, and now we have this and that.
- 46:25SPEAKER_02: There's always something coming into the mix.
- 46:27SPEAKER_02: So, and there's all these different parts of you, and these different protective mechanisms, and all of these things, like it's not black and white, you know, like that's something I really wish that I could have like knew from the get-go, like it's going to look different because sometimes when you're going through your healing journey, and especially now in a world of social media where everything is like there's a real for this, there's a real for that, and this is what is going on, and you see all these things, and people are like, Oh my god, this is the healing journey, this is the process.
- 46:57SPEAKER_02: And you're like, Well, mine doesn't look like that.
- 46:59SPEAKER_02: Am I not healing?
- 47:03SPEAKER_01: So it's like we're all on our journey, right?
- 47:08SPEAKER_01: No matter if it's big or little, you know.
- 47:14SPEAKER_01: Love that.
- 47:15SPEAKER_01: Thank you so much, Gigi, for being here and chatting with us today about your healing journey and all of the things cycle.
- 47:22SPEAKER_01: So let us know.
- 47:24SPEAKER_01: Of course, we'll put it in the notes, but let us know how these listeners and people that are in our podcast world, how they can connect with you.
- 47:33SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 47:34SPEAKER_02: So I'm on Instagram at Glowflow G-L-O-F-L-O.withg, and on Facebook, and um, I have a Facebook group.
- 47:48SPEAKER_02: It's called the Cyclical Women Collective, and I host monthly masterclasses in there.
- 47:55SPEAKER_02: The last one I did was the divine desire, which is how to manifest using the power of your menstrual cycle.
- 48:02SPEAKER_02: Um, and there's just I have so many different ways to plug in.
- 48:07SPEAKER_02: Um, I have my Big Boom Energy Challenge that's coming up.
- 48:12SPEAKER_02: Tell us more about that.
- 48:13SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, girl.
- 48:15SPEAKER_02: So I am so excited about this challenge.
- 48:17SPEAKER_02: So this is an 11-day practice challenge.
- 48:20SPEAKER_02: So, what that means is we the the okay, so before I dive into that, the intention behind this is I feel like this is a very low entry point to like what is she even talking about?
- 48:32SPEAKER_02: Like, what's kundalini?
- 48:34SPEAKER_02: What what is energy work?
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, like come in, grab a little sampler and taste it and be like, mind blown, let me get some more type of deal, right?
- 48:44SPEAKER_02: Because the breakthroughs that I've I've done this challenge a few times already, and the breakthroughs that have happened in there from women healing from chronic back pain to feeling like, oh my god, people notice something different about me, to calling in all kinds of different things that they want, feeling more regulating, feeling more calm.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: I've like there's so there's so much feedback because the work works, right?
- 49:13SPEAKER_02: When you you do it, and yeah, and it's not me, it's literally the practice.
- 49:18SPEAKER_02: So the practice that we do inside of Big Womb Energy is we activate the lower three chakras, which are the chakras that are in charge of our root and safety, right?
- 49:29SPEAKER_02: Our root chakra.
- 49:30SPEAKER_02: Like we feel safe in our body, um, our sacral, our divine flow, our creative, our sexual energy, and then our self-source power, which is our solar plexus.
- 49:41SPEAKER_02: So we work with these different chakras to balance the energies and activate our womb so that we could be our most expressed self, so that we can be on and confident.
- 49:53SPEAKER_02: And I know who I am, and I know, you know, what I believe in, and I know my values, and like I don't have to believe the things that the world told me to do.
- 50:04SPEAKER_02: Like, who am I before the world stripped away my true essence?
- 50:08SPEAKER_02: So that's what we work on on this.
- 50:10SPEAKER_02: Um, it's a really fun challenge, it's only 11 days, right?
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: When does it start?
- 50:13SPEAKER_02: It starts October 1st.
- 50:15SPEAKER_02: Okay, two weeks for this round.
- 50:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I'm so excited because I haven't ran it and I don't think I ran it this year, um, just because of all the other things.
- 50:27SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I'm so excited.
- 50:29SPEAKER_02: And like the ladies in the group were so excited to have it back because they're like, oh my gosh, this did so much.
- 50:35SPEAKER_02: And it was just a sample, it was just a take in a fun way, and then being able to do it with other women, like, oh, I have this breakthrough.
- 50:43SPEAKER_02: And I always say when women come together and we share, we give permission to the next woman to have our own experience.
- 50:53SPEAKER_00: So true.
- 50:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so we'll definitely pop that in the show notes as well if anybody wants to join.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: I think I'm definitely interested in joining as well.
- 51:01SPEAKER_02: Yes, so excited.
- 51:04SPEAKER_02: And um, and yeah, besides that, like if you have any questions, if you're watching this and you just want to like, I always I'm open to the community aspects of it.
- 51:16SPEAKER_02: Like, if you have questions and you want to learn more about like how do you manage all of this, if maybe you don't have a regular cycle, or maybe you're on birth control and you want to know what your options are, or you had a hysterectomy, or you're in perimenopause or menopause.
- 51:31SPEAKER_02: Like, I work with the whole woman, human and in a holistic way.
- 51:36SPEAKER_02: So I'm always open to conversation and being of um being of help wherever I can be.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 51:45SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for sharing and being here today and sharing your story and your gifts, and just can see how much it like lights you up and like how excited you are about it, and like we love that energy.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: So let's go.
- 51:55SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 51:56SPEAKER_02: I'm so excited.
- 51:57SPEAKER_02: Thank you guys for having me here.
- 51:59SPEAKER_02: I am so welcome thrilled that you invited me to be on your podcast.
- 52:03SPEAKER_02: I'm like, it's so exciting, and I know that like even if it's just a tidbit from you guys sharing or from me sharing or something, like one person out there will hear and have like that seed that is sprouting that they needed.
- 52:17SPEAKER_01: So yeah, when we're all about that, like being the ripple effect, you know, like that's why we started our podcast.
- 52:24SPEAKER_01: We're like, we need to get people to like realize they're not alone in their healing journey and like we just have so much to share and we just love sharing.
- 52:31SPEAKER_01: And again, like just shifting someone's perspective and shifting like one person, like that's all that matters, you know, because we know that ripple will be go further than just us two and us three specifically on this call.
- 52:43SPEAKER_01: So uh, love it.
- 52:49SPEAKER_01: All right, thank you so much, Gigi.
