- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here. And in this episode of The
- 0:43Hypnotist, you'll be listening to a hypnosis session for a
- 0:47client that was feeling stressed and irritated and frustrated
- 0:54from things like noises or mess that their young children were
- 1:01making. And they didn't really want to
- 1:02feel this way. They wanted to feel very
- 1:05patient, calm and loving. So you can hear certain
- 1:09techniques, metaphors, suggestions in this hypnosis
- 1:13session to feel that they are more empowered and to work with
- 1:20their children to reward them with attention rather than
- 1:26rewarding them with attention when they throw a tantrum with
- 1:28something more beneficial for everyone, like being creative or
- 1:33kind or sharing or other things. There's a few things going on
- 1:37here, but really it deals with perspective, focus, and this
- 1:43feeling of empowerment. Because when most people get
- 1:46frustrated, it comes from a place of not really knowing what
- 1:49to do and feeling there's an element of choice can actually
- 1:53dial down that frustration a lot.
- 1:56It was created for a client that was a mother of two young
- 2:00children, and therefore some of the phrasing links to that.
- 2:07So if you're not a parent, if you don't have young children,
- 2:11maybe this isn't the right hypnosis for you to listen to,
- 2:14but equally, if you are triggered by loud noises, again,
- 2:19you might get some value from this particular session.
- 2:23Obviously it was created for an individual client, so if you
- 2:26would feel that maybe a bespoke session could be more beneficial
- 2:30for you, click the link in the show notes where you can
- 2:33schedule that free consultation call to explore working with me
- 2:36directly. For now though, find a quiet,
- 2:39comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 2:41Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 3:15you breathe in, just imagine breathing in a wonderful feeling
- 3:23of calm, patience and wonderful relaxation.
- 3:31And as you exhale, allow yourself to release any feelings
- 3:38of pent up frustration or tension.
- 3:43Feel it. Leave your body in that outward
- 3:48breath. So as you breathe in, breathe in
- 3:54more of that relaxation and exhale more of any tension, any
- 4:04stress, anything that's been triggering or bothering you.
- 4:10Just feel it leaving your body, so much so that breath by
- 4:18breath, feel yourself drifting deeper into a wonderful feeling
- 4:24of relaxation. On the next deep breath in.
- 4:40Hold it for a moment, feel your lungs full of that relaxation,
- 4:50and then release it, exhaling slowly, allowing any tension to
- 4:59feel like it's melting away, just leaving your body in that
- 5:04outward breath. With each breath, you feel
- 5:11yourself becoming more and more relaxed, like you're sinking
- 5:17into a wonderful place that some people call hypnosis and other
- 5:28people call empowered relaxation.
- 5:34Feel. You're right, it's getting
- 5:35heavier and heavier that any muscle tension around your
- 5:41shoulders and your neck just starts to unwind and relax, fill
- 5:51your mind, becoming calm and still.
- 5:56Perhaps you can imagine a pond that originally was filled with
- 6:04movement and ripples, but now see the pond still and
- 6:12completely calm. And as you focus on my voice,
- 6:20just allow any outside sounds or distractions feel like they're
- 6:25fading into the background. I want you to get a sense that
- 6:33where focus goes, energy flows. It's impossible to focus on
- 6:42every sensation, every sound. There's too much information.
- 6:52What is an annoying sound to one person is invisible to someone
- 6:58else. And I want you to get a sense
- 7:02that at an important time in your life, you had to dial your
- 7:10attention into a particular frequency, like a radio station.
- 7:17You could feel that that time has passed now and therefore
- 7:21feel that your mind is dialing back into a different frequency.
- 7:28Perhaps before parenthood, you had the balance just right.
- 7:36You could hear a loud noise and it wouldn't bother you at all.
- 7:41Feel like you're tuning back in to that frequency?
- 7:50I want you to use the power of your imagination to imagine that
- 7:53pond in a beautiful garden. The sun is warm, breeze gentle,
- 8:02and everything around you feels peaceful and calm.
- 8:09And every step you take into this garden brings you deeper
- 8:13into relaxation. Maybe you can imagine soft grass
- 8:19beneath your feet, maybe the sounds of nature like birds
- 8:24singing, leaves rustling. But these sounds soothe you.
- 8:33Let yourself settle into this tranquil place, a place where
- 8:38your mind and body can reason, reset and rest completely.
- 8:49Perhaps you can imagine some kind of garden furniture, like a
- 8:53hammock, one of those benches with soft cushions, or even a
- 9:03lounger, and just imagine yourself relaxing in that garden
- 9:08under the sunshine. And as you relax even deeper, I
- 9:15want you to bring to mind the image of your children.
- 9:22Picture their smiles, their laughter.
- 9:27Create an image of them where you feel that love and that
- 9:33connection. Feel that you're amplifying that
- 9:40sense of love and gratitude. Even a single moment is enough
- 9:49to remind you at your very core how you really feel.
- 9:59I want you to get a sense then this is the true feeling, and
- 10:06how you feel as a result of mass or tantrums isn't truly how you
- 10:14feel about your children. That's how you feel about a
- 10:20situation, and sometimes that situation may just be a game
- 10:27they're playing as they deeply crave your attention.
- 10:37I want you to get a sense that 20 years from now there will be
- 10:46adults, probably no longer living in a family home.
- 10:55Moments of even squabbles will feel like echoes of a bygone
- 11:03time. So give yourself permission to
- 11:11feel grateful for all of it. The smiles and the tears, the
- 11:21magical moments and the tantrums.
- 11:25It's all baked into this cake called motherhood.
- 11:34And the moment you accept the highs and the lows, you're able
- 11:43to realize you can play this game differently to how you have
- 11:53been playing the game. That you can be proactive rather
- 12:01than reactive. You can teach them how to find
- 12:06wonderful ways of getting attention, rather than reward
- 12:14them for doing the very things that in the past you found
- 12:19frustrating. From this moment forward, you
- 12:29will find it easier and easier and more natural to value the
- 12:33time you spend with your children, unlocking a strong
- 12:38desire to give them your positive attention.
- 12:43Not as a reaction to tantrums or nagging or mass, but because you
- 12:49want to. And maybe ideas will come to you
- 12:56immediately or in a moment of epiphany, but you'll discover
- 13:03creative ways to reward their kindness, their imagination, and
- 13:08their playfulness. And when they figure out the
- 13:14kindness and creativity, smiles, laughter, and play give them a
- 13:20better quality of attention than the mess and the nagging.
- 13:26Don't be surprised if they do those other things more and the
- 13:33more frustrating things less. And maybe you could imagine
- 13:40yourself, in the days that follow, responding to their
- 13:45positive behaviour with warmth and joy.
- 13:50And maybe that's through storytelling, playful games, or
- 13:55simply holding them close and sharing a laugh.
- 14:01And maybe you'll notice how rewarding this is for them and
- 14:05how it strengthens your bond. Don't expect it to be easy when
- 14:15challenges arise. What if it's an opportunity for
- 14:25you to be like a tall tree in a storm, being strong even when
- 14:34there is chaos around? Imagine feeling calm and
- 14:39composed no matter to the situation.
- 14:46Imagine yourself grounded and patient, as though there is a
- 14:51peaceful, infinite well of energy within you.
- 14:54And what if loud noises, tantrums, or chaos no longer
- 15:02irritate or trigger you? Instead, you'll frame these
- 15:08moments as temporary and insignificant.
- 15:14And whether these sounds come from your children or from a
- 15:21neighbour, just imagine that from now on, loud or disruptive
- 15:26noises will feel just like background sounds on a radio
- 15:33station you've tuned out of. And maybe you can acknowledge
- 15:38they exist, but fear the sense of release as you find that they
- 15:47no longer bother you. You are in control of what you
- 15:53focus on, and you choose peace and calmness.
- 16:06Treat it like a game. Noises, sounds, mess.
- 16:19The harder they try and trigger you, the less triggered you
- 16:22become. As any noises fade into the
- 16:30background. You'll notice your patience
- 16:34growing as you respond calmly, thoughtfully, and with the love.
- 16:41Or perhaps just perspective. And sometimes the ideal
- 16:47perspective is that all of this is temporary.
- 16:55Tantrums are temporary. Noises are temporary.
- 17:01Your children will only be the exact age they are now.
- 17:09Tomorrow they will be older, and in five years time they will be
- 17:16five years older. All of these are just fleeting
- 17:20moments. I want you to get a sense that
- 17:25given that it's all temporary, what if you can find that place
- 17:31where you enjoy the good times and feel resilient in the
- 17:37frustrating times, but nothing will steal that love, that
- 17:43connection and that bond from this point onwards.
- 17:53Previously triggering noises and now just harmless waves flowing
- 17:59around you without touching you. It feels like there's a force
- 18:02field around you. These previously triggering
- 18:08sound just bounce off, they pass quickly and you remain calm and
- 18:17steady as you are now free to focus on what truly matters.
- 18:26Those moments that bring joy, connection and love.
- 18:35And you'll find yourself filled with new ideas for awarding your
- 18:39children's positive behaviours, giving them attention for their
- 18:45kindness, for sharing, for their creativity and play.
- 18:52Each time you do this, you're teaching them valuable lessons
- 18:59that there are better ways to get your attention and they'll
- 19:03learn that quickly. It's a win for them and it's a
- 19:08win for you. I want you to imagine going
- 19:19forward in time and celebrating your youngest child's 18th
- 19:23birthday party. Your child has become an adult
- 19:32and think back to two different versions of you.
- 19:37A version of you that was frustrated, triggered,
- 19:44flustered, or a version of you that was calm, patient and
- 19:53loving. And when you know how you would
- 20:00have wanted. Your role in that childhood to
- 20:04be, you know, by nodding your head.
- 20:09And sometimes parents find their children becoming adults wishing
- 20:20they did things different. I want you to feel like you're
- 20:27intentional with how you want things to be and then go back to
- 20:32the present and realize you are unlocking all of the resources
- 20:37to make that intention real. So take a deep breath in through
- 20:45your nose and out through your nose.
- 20:51Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 20:53Connect fully into the here and now, and shortly I count from
- 20:571:00 to 10:00 to awaken you. You will awaken feeling
- 21:00resourceful, patient, with a feeling of creativity and
- 21:06perspective, feeling a desire to make this game winnable for you.
- 21:14Starting to count 123. Waking up 456.
- 21:19More alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 21:24Open your eyes 910. Wide awake.
- 21:27Wide awake. Wide awake.
