- Jessica Figueroa: Good morning listeners. You're listening to the Just For Today podcast, and I want to read to you a little part from Dale Carnegie's book How to Stop Worrying and Start Living. And in this section it says anyone can carry their burden however hard until nightfall. This was written by Robert Lewis Stevenson. Anyone can do his work, however hard, for one day. That's what this podcast is all about. That anyone can carry your burden, however hard, until nightfall. And that anyone can do their work, however hard it is, for one day. That's what it's all about here on this podcast. We are learning that we can do things for one day that we could never do for a lifetime, maybe even not two days. But rarely do we ever have to do the hardest things that we do for that long of a period of time. And then if we do end up having to do those really hard things for a longer period of time than we think possible, the way we do them is by learning to do them just for today. So what are we doing just for today? We are just today's lesson is for us to ponder on the fact that we can carry the heaviest burden we can imagine just until nightfall, and that we can do our work however hard it is just for today. So that's today's lesson is thinking about you can do something harder than you could ever have imagined if you only had to do it till tonight. And you can do the hardest work you ever thought possible just till the end of the day. So today, whatever you have to do, if it seems like a mountaintop or maybe today seems like an easy day, the night will come, the day will end. That's a guarantee. So whatever it is, you only have to carry it till tonight. So in the words of Robert Lewis Stevenson, no matter how hard it is, we can do it just for one day. That's what this is all about. I'll see you guys tomorrow on our just for today podcast.
