- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Hi, it's Cheryl here, and you're listening to Amazing Brilliant Gorgeous Wonderful.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: This is the final episode in the series, and we're talking about the bit no one wants to admit.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: You can't think your way out of stress when your state is wrecked.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Now, if you've been trying to be a role model while running on fumes, this episode is for you.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Today we're talking about the state as the filter of how we stay steady in this crazy world without turning your life into some kind of performance.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: And let's be honest, some days, I get it, you don't need more insight, you need less pressure.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: Because when you're exhausted, I don't know about you, but everything seems worse.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Your thinking gets sharp, your patience gets thin, your confidence gets it's like it's been repossessed, and you start making decisions from a survival mode, not from choice.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Here's a question for you: what state are you in when you decide to shrink?
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Are you calm and grounded or are you depleted and bracing yourself for the next thing to happen?
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: Because state is the filter, it changes what you believe is possible, which is why I love this work.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: I love getting people into really good states.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: What happens to your thinking when you're exhausted?
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know about you, but most women, when tired, go into one of these things.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: They over-explain themselves.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I do that sometimes.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: People pleasing, self-doubt, irritability, shutting down, and a kind of I can't be bothered numbness.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: None of this means you're failing.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: It means your system is underload.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Overloaded, even.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: And here's a cynical truth for you.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Sorry to say it.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: But workplaces in this modern world really care about your state, they only care about your output.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: Some women start performing fine while quietly unraveling.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: But role modeling isn't performing fine.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Role modeling is showing that you can be human and still be steady.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: What version of you shows up when you're steady?
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Because there's a version of you that knows what's true, that isn't auditioning, that isn't apologizing for existing, and that version might not be loud, but she's clear.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: So let me ask you what one thing you want to be true about you by the end of this year 2026?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Not about the workplace, about you.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Did you do you want to be the woman who disappeared to survive?
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Or the woman who stayed true to herself, even if she had to do it with smaller steps.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: And yes, I know you can I can hear the objections in your head.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Because it's the one most women don't say out loud.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: I can't keep doing this.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Fair enough.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: Some situations genuinely are too much, some environments are truly corrosive, some seasons demand change, but even then the question becomes: what would enough look like in real life?
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: I mean, for you, enough might mean I stopped shrinking, or enough might mean I told the truth, enough might mean I protected my dignity, or I left footprints instead of bruises, because that's the theme of this whole series.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Your Moxie, ladies.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Moxie isn't a spotlight, it's footprints.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Footprints are made step by step, not in one dramatic leap.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: So remember, your state shapes your choices.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: If you've been shrinking, it may not be because you lack courage.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: No, not at all.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's because you're exhausted, and that's important that you understand and accept that.
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: You're allowed to be human even in this crazy modern world.
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: You're allowed to be steady.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: In fact, you're allowed to be both.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: Remember to subscribe, share, and repeat because every step you take, no matter how small, step towards a brighter, more balanced future, trust in your journey and remember, progress is progress no matter the pace.
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Bye for now.
