- Denise: Hello everyone and welcome to another episode of From Sad Pick Me Girl to Alchemist. Today I'm so excited to have Christine here. She is a healer and I will let her touch more on exactly what she offers. But per usual I like to explain why I chose to have Christine on the podcast. As I've mentioned, if you're new here, I Struggled the majority of my life with mental health and feeling like I had a purpose. And what shifted that for me was a podcast where I was introduced to different spiritual modalities and really just a viewpoint on why we are here as humans on earth. And so since then I've connected with people who offer a variety of services, and my aim is to help people who their stories resonate with so that they can receive the guidance needed to step into a path of alignment and that looks different for all of us but I know that we also resonate with different people for different reasons and so with that Christine I will let you take the wheel and describe a little bit more about what you offer and how you got there. Christine Gold: it's a very long story that I put into my first book. it started in twenty seventeen, corporate burnout, addictions, Denise: Mm-hmm. Christine Gold: I had multiple, and mental health, absolutely. if I was not anxious, then I was depressed. And I'm very open about how I wanted to exit this world twice. But God had and spirit had different plans for me, just like you said, purpose. You you you don't know what it is, but you know there's something, and you just gotta go and discover what that is. and many times it's not a job. I mean, if it is amazing, but most times it's not. so I worked I worked with one of many mentors. My first one came delivered through YouTube. she told me my anxiety and depression are linked to me being highly intuitive, sensitive, and most likely a psychic medium. And I'm like, what? No one I don't what but I was so curious because doctors would just be like, take this pill or your your therapist, your talk therapy for years just keeps you chasing your tail and re triggering your trauma, which we now know does not work anyways. So we have specialists. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: it's a thing. I went through all of that. Denise: Right. Christine Gold: And I was in the corporate world because I did not feel seen, heard, or valued, and I thought my worth would be through achievement and making money. And status. No, it doesn't work. I've made six figures and been completely miserable. and you know, on the outside looking all Instagrammable, and it's all a bunch of BS, it really is. And and what Denise: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Christine Gold: I really love is that Gen Z and you know all the other generations of the k new new kids, the the indigos, the crystallines coming in, the rainbows, they're already preloaded to where I am. I'm 52. And I want to say, no matter where you are in whatever age or stage you're at. it's always an amazing time to choose yourself. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: Yeah. So I started working with her for six months. I became a certified medium, and then I moved on to being a Reiki master because I wanted to learn more about mastering my energy. We are energetic spiritual beings. And that is the the key to mental health, to everything. Is the inside. Denise: Right. Christine Gold: 1,000 million percent. I know this to be true because I have healed my depression and my anxiety. now I'm not saying I'm healed because anyone's saying that, I'm healed, I'm good. They're spiritually bypassing, they're not living in reality. I get it. I lived in the ethers for a while when I woke up when I was awake. But I was not being practical. Now I've married both worlds into my heart. Denise: Mm-hmm. Christine Gold: and Marianne Williamson just came out with a video talking about the solution to your anxiety, your depression, your mental health is surrender. Powerful. Denise: Mm-hmm. Christine Gold: that your ego hooks you, right? We're always talking about mindset, mindset. that again is bypassing. If you're always living up here, how can you ever get here and be fully at peace? Well, you have to surrender. Surrender to the BS that people tell you, surrender to societal stuff, surrender to all of not knowing everything, the who, what, when, where, why, and how. Because not everything can be explained. It need it's to be felt. That's the biggest piece. Denise: Yeah. And I like what you said about surrendering because that's something that we're going to have to do in our entire life. And I always thought that I'd reach this point of ascension where I would know and I would I always say this but I mean it. I would go to healers and Sidekicks, whatever they call were whatever label, it didn't matter. But my aim was always to get answers. And it's not, you don't get answers. You get clarity. So when you get clarity on your purpose, then you're able to make the necessary steps and slowly the things that are aligned start to unveil. But I think it's important for people to understand that that doesn't mean that your life is without hardship, without challenges, without Obstacles, it means that you just have the tools to navigate those better. So I've often heard people say, well, if so and so had it all figured out, they wouldn't be going through X, Y, and Z. And I'm No, that's not true. Because we all go, there's no point in life where you reach that you just don't face any sort of obstacle, we'll call it, right? And so that's what I think it's important for people to learn and also understanding that. When you don't feel like you're living a life of fulfillment, there's usually a reason and sometimes it is a job because our jobs consume so much of our lives. So I wanna talk about corporate burnout because that is something I feel like is very resonant in today's society and I I myself am going through it as I mentioned to you, where I feel like not the people are aligned, sure, but the mission is not. Like I love the people I work with, but I on a human level I think they're amazing. But the work itself is just draining every bit of my soul. And I want people to I I share this because I never want to seem like I have it all figured out. I am speaking from a perspective of somebody who's still figuring it out. And I know I'm getting closer, but I what is your guidance for that? Because sometimes I get impatient and I'm thinking, well, is it fear holding me back or or is it just that I need to be more patient? And where how do you learn? Is that just surrender or is it lack of effort? Christine Gold: no, lack of effort is a pro is programming. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: Just like the word lazy, that's programming. That's a label. Denise: Right. Yeah. Christine Gold: That's been placed on somebody, usually our parents or someone in school or sus at work, that is their own unhealed trauma and they're trying to dump it on you. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: and I want to say something about obstacles or opportunities, and the obstacle is the way. Only the ego would think that I'm gonna get through life with no problems and everything's gonna be handed to me. Good grief. Denise: B Christine Gold: And I know all and I know everything. Guess what? I know nothing. And every night I pray to die well. Cause that's That's what it's really about. So how are Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: you going to spend your time? Because that's what it's about. It's time. Time is Denise: Right. Christine Gold: precious. And we have to build an inner sanctuary. And through the inner sanctuary comes peace, comes surrender. Comes being, like Wayne Dyer would say, open to everything attached to nothing. Because attachment is the problem. We have to fix it, we have to solve it. And the fact that you're aware that your job is soul-sucking, like what's going on, but you're surrounded by amazing people, you're being presented a crossroads, which many of us are. You're gonna you decide to stay and figure out a way to love all aspects, even though not every day is gonna be rainbows and unicorns, or are you going to pivot? And go into something you truly love. So what do you love? That's what I would ask. What do you love? Like when you talk about something, you light up, your energy changes. That's Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: what I want people to, and it could be a hobby, it could be anything. And go back to your childhood. What did you want to be when you grew up? Many Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: of us forget or we're told, that doesn't make money. We don't do this and that are in our family. And I've also heard if you do that, you will be kicked out and disowned. Disgusting. I have two grown men, I would never say that to my kids. Ever, ever, ever. Ever. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: I always was told, you're a daydreamer, so what? Your heads are Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: in the clouds, so what? Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: I talk to dead people, so what? We all have that ability. It's the fact that we turned it down, shut it off, because we were not safe to be authentically ourselves. And I am so tired and very passionate about this because I don't want anyone to waste one more second of believing other people's BS. Denise: I love that. And I wanna go back to how our Our lives paralleled in ways. I think that one wanting not to be here, as I shared with you, that was a sentiment that I did share on the podcast that I've struggled with, and that was just a lack of purpose. But also the ADHD part. I'm not labeled as ADHD, but if you know me, you're there is undeniable. And so one of the things that happens, I think, with a lot of ADHDers is we have these creative minds and we try to fit ourselves in boxes that we don't fit in. So that manifests in the form of, and it's not to say we're not productive because we are and we know how to get things done but we end up losing interest very quickly and I find for me it's a lot of and I have had great roles and I don't intend on leaving now because I know what I've matured to the point where I know I'm just gonna go it's a cyclical thing but you kind of job hop a lot and I've seen this in Christine Gold: Yeah. Denise: people that I know and it's like they they're like I'm really passionate about this wait no I'm not and my theory is and I want to get Christine Gold: Mm. Denise: your take on this their soul wants something else but they're trying to fit in this box of what was told to them is successful And what's successful is stability. What's successful is the 401k, the pension, whatever it is. And so they try that because they're telling themselves, well, that's what success is. But deep down, there's something that they're some creative energy, something that they're not looking at that they have to provide to the world. And until that's unveiled, it's gonna come in the form, it's gonna look like job hopping, it's gonna look like scattered behavior and not really knowing what they want. Christine Gold: It's gonna look like a spiritual two by four to the head, as I like to call it. Dark night of the soul. Yeah, that's how I learn. Anybody else? Bonk. okay, spirit, I'm paying attention now. Whew, whoo, let me get my bearings here. Like, whoa. I love to to joke about myself because humor Denise: Yeah. Spiritual two by four. I like that, sorry. That's my yep. Yeah. I love that. Accurate. Christine Gold: changes our energy. And if we can laugh, yeah. Denise: for sure. It's healing. It's a great way to laugh. Christine Gold: 'Cause sometimes you get tired of crying and and here's the other thing, maybe you need to rage and anger and scream and yell. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: That is relevant as well because we've been suppressing a lot of that. So and ADHD, whether you're late diagnosed, diagnosed, suspected, neuro, spicy, whatever it is, doesn't matter. The only thing that likes a box is my cat. See my cat here? He loves a box. We don't. Denise: Right. Christine Gold: Our minds are brilliant. We are brilliant. I actually had Dr. Temple Grandin on my podcast a couple months ago. She talked about the three types of minds. And we all know the analytical one. We know the lawyer type, the one that can talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. You know what mean? And then there's us. We are the visual thinkers. Like animals. Animals see pictures in their minds first. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: I do the same thing. You can call it clairvoyance, or maybe you hear something. You get the little whisper. Those Denise: Yeah. Mm. Christine Gold: are all nudges. And and why we job hop? I've had over 30 jobs. I used to be embarrassed about that and shame. Now I'm like, F that. They didn't know what they had, right? We can see patterns and we recognize them very quickly, what works, what doesn't, your policies, your procedures, your body language, your walk the walk, talk the talk. It's not congruent. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: That is the curse and the gift, you want to call it. How can you merge both? Well, I am working on a beta. Because I work with many, many people who have a thousand ideas, but they always feel like they're starting over on a Monday and they don't know which one to start. Or they have four things and they don't finish any of them. They're like a quarter of this is done, half of that, I don't know about that. That one abandoned ship, you know what I mean? Like And I've done this. And you don't need another productivity hack or whatever. I I can't stand that word hack. It's like, it's a shortcut. Yeah, but if you don't take the long, however your way to it, it will keep coming, you'll keep repeating this pattern, is what I'm saying. Denise: Yeah. Yeah. Christine Gold: So this cohort is you pick one thing. And together in this in our group of other people trying to finish one thing, whether it's a book or starting a side hustle or whatever it is, or public speaking, which is people's number one fear, not death, by the way. and then it will come to completion. And that's amazing. That we need to celebrate the small things more. Denise: Yes. Christine Gold: Not, I graduated from, you know, I got my BA. That's amazing. But how about I know some people that said I had a shower today. Okay. Denise: It's amazing. Christine Gold: I cleaned out a junk drawer today. Yes. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: And for me, I had dental surgery just over a week ago. I had my first yoga class the other day. Because I wasn't able to hold downward Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: dog because of the pressure, right? Denise: my gosh. Christine Gold: So those are little things, but we never talk about those little things that are actually Denise: Right. Christine Gold: really big things and mean a lot. Denise: Yes. And I find the more you celebrate the little things, the more there is to celebrate, and the more positive that comes to you. And there is so much truth. And I know we hear it, but it's something to hear it and actually feel it. But the more positive you put out, the more you will get in return. And the more you focus on the negative, the more that will come into your reality. And I was talking to somebody about that, and this is going off on a tangent a bit, but sometimes we focus on all the negative in the world, and I do think that there are some. something of being informed. But when you consume that all the time, it's also not the best for our I don't think we as humans were meant to have all this information at our fingertips, right? And so it does something Christine Gold: No. Denise: to our mental health and our way of being and our vibrational frequency, I think, that is just not healthy for us. Christine Gold: No, it's not. And you know, people always ask no. I get this asked a lot. Am I a narcissist? Well, number one, narcissists would never ask that question. Denise: my gosh, it's so funny because I say this all the time. Yeah. I'm sad. Christine Gold: They would never, because there's nothing wrong with them. You're the problem. I mean, it reminds me of the the Taylor Swift song. I mean, that's about introspection, about I'm the problem, it's me. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: But they're taking inventory Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: about what's working, what isn't, why do I do the things I do? I'm recognizing patterns of my behavior, and I don't want to. I want to live a a high vibrational life. At the same time, I'm not bypassing. There's a lot of spiritual bypassing. you know, positive all the time, all the time, all the time. Okay, yeah, I get that. But there's other times where you're not. And you have to sit with that and like, why? What's going on? Denise: Right. Yep. Yeah. Christine Gold: I was around Joe today. And Joe bled on me in a way, his energy, his negative, murmur. You know what I'm saying? They get it, it's like an earworm. And then it starts bringing you down. So that's how you know you're around someone who's not in alignment with you, including family. You do not need to be around people that drag you down. Denise: Yeah. It's interesting that you say that too, because it is we especially when you're an intuitive person and I think a lot of the people who struggle with ADHD and Things of that nature. Yes. And so Christine Gold: Highly intuitive, highly yeah. Denise: I've found the same thing for me too, where I absorb and in much the same way. I think it's so funny that you use the narcissistic example. This is part of the thing. I swear, no interactions are coincidental. I struggle with that so heavily because I feel like I have a lot of tendencies from my father, who was like, I would say, textbook narcissist. And so sometimes Christine Gold: Yeah. Denise: I'm like, well, maybe I am a narcissist. And somebody will leave a comment on like the things that I share and like, maybe you're the problem. And I'm like, What if I'm a narcissist? So the fact that you use that example is just so funny to me because you didn't know this. That that's something that I struggle with. And for you to use that example is just not coincidental, I don't think. Christine Gold: absolutely not. It's a synchronous divine intervention and we're all channels, right? Denise: Right. Christine Gold: So that's the kind of work I do too, is I'm already tuned into who the person is. I don't need a picture. I get all this information through my dreams. It just comes flooding in. And we all have that ability, by the way. And the and what somebody when they commented and said maybe you're the problem, they're gaslighting you. So you're gonna block people like that as well, 'cause I'm sorry, that doesn't serve you at all. and anyone who's you know, what do they call a negative Nancy or a Ned? Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: Stay away from those people. Stay away. You can love people from a distance, but you do not have to. You have it's not your obligation to be around them. You are not here to save everyone, by the way, too. Take care of yourself. You are number one. You are not selfish. And Don't let people guilt you into anything either. That's another family thing. Well, but if you don't help me, you know, stuff like that, it's like, wow. And when you say no, no is a complete sentence, and you watch how they get triggered. Then you know exactly who you need to cut out of your life. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: And I also have videos on cord cutting, because that's a thing when someone gets into your energy. They can send you negativity, they can send you psychic attacks, whatever it is. Sometimes out of nowhere you feel like crap. Be like, well, there's a bit of a gap in my energy. I Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: need to tighten that up. I need to protect myself every day. You said you absorb, you need to observe. Lean back. Go, I'm feeling something, and it usually hits you in the solar plexus, right? Denise: Mm. Christine Gold: You get the ick. I've had the ick a couple times this week. That's another story. But right away I'm like, ooh, no, I don't like this. Something was going on here. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: And I'm not gonna try and figure it out or fix or where we do all those fight, flight, fawn freeze trauma responses. We're not doing that. We're Denise: Mm. Christine Gold: sitting back and we're detaching, like practicing Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: non-attachment. And then saying, no, this is not for me. And and then bring in what is for me. love, light, peace, joy, abundance. That we are magnets for that energy. Whether you're a generator archetype, a receptor archetype, observer archetype, like I think it's really important to journal as well and and find out more what what's going on here to meet here more. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: And then the more that you protect yourself, you will naturally deflect and reflect on people. If they don't match your energy, they will know right away. They'll be like, I don't know if you get this. Sometimes when I'm in the store, I get people not hissing at me, but I get hate, shade thrown Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: at me. And then kids, babies, they're just staring because they know. They know. Denise: No, 'cause they know, yeah. Their channel's so so pure. Yeah. Christine Gold: They know they are about love and healing and forgiveness, where us humans we tend to skew on the reptilian negativity where Teflon for good and Velcro for bad. No, we need to reverse that. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: And stop watching the news because Denise: Thank you. Christine Gold: Michael Beckwith says, never evolving with spirit. It is always the same script, always same programming. They show you the terrible death, destruction, disease. That is what ego is about. Death, Denise: Yep. Christine Gold: destruction, disease. Now ego is not the enemy. It no longer blocks my third eye. It sits here. It is a support system. It is the passenger while you're driving. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: Not the driver, because that's what was me. I it was I was out of control. I was drinking, I was eating, I was smoking, I've been sober for five years. I don't want anything to do with alcohol. I haven't I I I'm also living plant-based, which saved my life. I sold everything in 2020 and I still travel the world, let me tell you. That is Denise: Amazing. Christine Gold: how you actually accelerate your spiritual growth is go to other countries and be like, wow, humbled. Denise: Yeah. Yeah. Christine Gold: Because we are so spoiled in North America. Anyways. Denise: Yeah, that's true. It just it expands your view of the world and remem reminds you that and we were living in a little box and the world is expansive and everyone's on their own soul's evolution. And one of the things that you mentioned too that resonated with me is that you will encounter people that I I don't remember exactly what you use in the grocery store, but just people that kind of You know they're not resonating because yeah, Christine Gold: They're like Denise: exactly. The claws come out. And for me, that what Christine Gold: Hmm. Denise: that's happened is me stepping into my purposes, being more vocal about toxic relationship patterns and stepping away from those dynamics, sharing that divorce was the way for me, and people think I'm celebrating divorce. I'm not celebrating divorce. I'm celebrating choosing yourself and choosing what is in alignment with your soul, even when this society doesn't agree with it. And with that comes a ton of backlash. And it's been I pr I think part of my soul's evolution as well is to deal. With that backlash in a way that's not reactive because I'm very reactive and confrontational by nature. I just I don't want to be submissive. I am not that person, but I can't use my energy to attack people who are attacking me. That's not what I'm here for. And so if you can touch on that, and maybe that's something that people that you work with have experienced, but I I do get a lot of backlash, and recently more so because I think. I come off as very kind and soft, but inside I'm very combative and I believe something, I'm not gonna back down and that kindness and softness kinda goes away. So Christine Gold: Hmm. Denise: it's been a difficult I guess polarity to navigate in my reality. And so I'm curious what your take is on that and if you've experienced that on any other level with the people. Yeah, yeah, Christine Gold: Well, spiritual warrior, yes. Denise: exactly. Christine Gold: Celebrate that. You know, everyone thought Jesus was soft and still until he started flipping tables. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: Boundaries with a pencil, not a sledgehammer. I used to destroy everything, including myself. So no no more. kindness is not weakness. It is like the most powerful force in the in the world. And that's the problem is everybody is combative and attacking each other. The red, the blue, the left, the right. What religion Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: are you? Huh, here's one I'll throw out. I love doing this. God has no religion. anyways, I work with people who have religious trauma, so Denise: thank you. Yes. I just posted s again, I just posted something on religion yesterday and how I don't agree with ever using religion to undermine or criticize someone who is doing their best. And people don't like that, but it is what it is. I like what you just said. God has no religion. Christine Gold: Well, then religion is is control and power and money. And Denise: Mm-hmm. Yep. Christine Gold: people are brought like touch on your divorce or anybody that comes into your life, they're there you can call it a twin flame, but we've also kind of twisted that. It's all romantic. No, it's not. It's we are all mirrors. It was there to show you something, to teach you a lesson. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: We all have a soul's contract. We come in to learn things. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: and for me I've learned a lot, I'm sure you have as well, and I'm not coming back again to repeat it. So whatever Denise: Thank you. Christine Gold: keeps smacking you upside the head, pay attention to it. Denise: Yep. Christine Gold: If you keep attracting the same type of person, pay attention to it. I like I hear from girlfriends, why do I always attract the same guy? Because you put out that broadcast. You are Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: like, I need a man. Well, guess what? You're gonna get any man. Denise: A man like takes any woman. Yeah. Mm-hmm. Christine Gold: That's right. You know what I mean? Like and then I get the opposite where they're like, well, they have to be six foot two. I used to do this, have a checklist. Dark hair, some muscles, no. I want a man Denise: Just let it be. Christine Gold: who has a beautiful heart and spirit and is an energetic match for me. And until Denise: Yeah it's Christine Gold: that happens, it's not happening. And I love it because I love my own company. Denise: Yes. Christine Gold: That's the other piece. I'm so lonely. I don't like being alone. Well, there sometimes in your journey, you c Carolyn Miss calls it hermitage, hermiting. You are creating an environment where you need to heal and work on yourself. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: I I love the hermit card in the tarot. That's like one of my favorites. And he holds the lantern. And it's like the hero's journey, the hero wins journey. We all wanna want to be on top of the mountain like the goat. But then you have to go down into the valley. But don't be in the valley for 40 years wandering Denise: Right. Christine Gold: around and doing the same thing. That's what I'm saying. Recognize it. Investigate it. Heal it. Denise: Mm-hmm. Christine Gold: And then move on. There are three stages. to let's say something terrible happened to you, you're a victim. I work with a lot of women who had sexual trauma. I believe it's one in three that have some type of trauma. They were a victim. Then they're a survivor. Yes. Now we want to move you to empowered. I know so Denise: Yes. Christine Gold: many people who still live in their story. For ten years, Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: I'm sorry, you're you're you are not moving Denise: Yes. Christine Gold: to where you need to go. You are staying where you're comfortable. I get it. A bear is in the cave, had his snacks. But you gotta come out. I mean Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: the bear comes out of hibernation. You gotta come out. And Speaking of, you know, family, I learned a bunch of things from my family. My mom did not know her worth, and she literally died from a massive heart attack. My dad was married to a sociopath, which I will tell you the world is run by socio and psychopaths. Government, everything. It is changing Denise: I believe that. Christine Gold: though, it is crumbling. That's why we're seeing so much chaos right now. Yay! That's Pluto and Aquarius energy. That's Pluto and Aquarius energy happening, Denise: yay. We're clapping if you're wh here listening to this. Christine Gold: people. This is like 200-year-type events that are happening. This is all astrological. Why do you think they got rid of witches and seers and mystics? Because we knew way more than they did. Anyways, that's another story. Denise: Yep. Oof. Christine Gold: my d my dad, y again, he had the the not knowing both of them. So I had the worthiness wound with an abandonment piece. And that's why I attracted narcissistic type relationships. Denise: Yes, there's always a reason. Always, always, always. Right? Christine Gold: And here's the piece that people don't like. I have a workshop called Empath Narcissist Heal the Trauma Bond Forever. Let's say in a family, one is like, you know what? I'm not doing this. I'm just gonna worry about myself. The other one, empath. I don't like it when mom and dad are fighting. I need to help and fix and stay small and safe and quiet. So no one notices me because if they do, then I'll be attacked. That's the narcissist and the empath, but guess what? It comes from the same wound, and they're getting the same thing out of it, just in a different way. Denise: Yes. Christine Gold: When somebody revealed that to me years ago before the workshop, I was like, No, no, I'm an empath, I'm special, don't say that to me. That means I have to be responsible and accountable. Okay. Finally came to the realization, yeah you're right. I was getting something out of it. I was getting the role of fixer, of caregiver, of peacemaker. Denise: Yes. Christine Gold: my god, peacemaker? I always felt like it was in in the middle of my family disputes. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: Now I'm like, you know what? I don't want any part of it. You guys go do whatever. I nothing to do with it. Nothing. Not my monkey, not my circus. Thank you. Denise: Verp. Yeah. Yeah. Christine Gold: Mm. Denise: I wanna touch also on because relationships are one of the big things. I think purpose in general and relationships, and when I say purpose, it's really career, that kind of thing, because that consumes so much of our lives. But one of the things that you said is enjoying your own company, and that's something that I've been learning how to do. But I think that one of the things that I myself and others have feared is that when you get to that point, do you still find your person? And my take is like we don't have one particular person. What I mean by that, do you still find a romantic partner? I think the desire comes from that It's your soul saying that it is for you. You just have to follow the path. So I do think that everyone that desires partnership can have it. It's following those nudges and really living in a aligned timeline that determines whether you're going to meet that healthy partner or not. And embodying some of the necessary lessons and steps that you need to take along the way. Christine Gold: Yeah, and honestly partnership doesn't have to be romantic, it can be platonic. Denise: Mm. Yeah. As long as it's fulfilling, right? Christine Gold: Yeah, and I mean I some of the people that I've loved the most are animals. Denise: Yeah. No. Christine Gold: and people that are not blood related. That Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: when you meet them you're like, we've had a past life somewhere. Denise: yeah. Christine Gold: You just have that soul resonance, that vibration, that Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: time and space can't explain. And it's a beautiful relationship. Now I get it. We all want, we all want a partner and we all want that romantic thing, but I feel like we've been kind of sold this Hollywood thing that if you're alone, then you're gonna be an old spinster. And I'm like, where the heck did that come from? And who made up that lie? Denise: Yeah. Right. Christine Gold: Like you don't I mean if you want that relationship then yes, you but you also need to work on yourself and not have that desperate type of or that pining, yearning. I'm not I'm not complete without so and so. It's like, no, that's not true. Denise: Right. Christine Gold: You already are whole. What does the next version of you want to bring in? Is it someone that will match your will fill your energy tank and not deplete it? Who will give more than they take? Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: and then, but also you are two individuals. You can come together as a union, but then you also have your own dreams. And you support each other even if you don't understand it. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: Doesn't matter. It's and then just being real with each Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: other too. Like, do you want kids? Do you want to travel? Like, what does retirement look like? You gotta ask these important questions, especially the kid piece. I don't know how many times I've heard people say, I my god, we broke up because I wanted kids and he didn't. I'm like, and you're after five years, you're just discovering this? Like, come on. Now I'm not saying this Denise: That's like the yeah, fundamental part of a relationship, yeah. Christine Gold: is your first date type of question, Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: right? Denise: It's interesting too because I think that there are there is a soul recognition sometimes with certain people and we think that that means permanency. And it oftentimes it doesn't. There's a maybe a lesson to be learned, or th there's just some sort of interaction that maybe you contracted. But I'm finding that now as I become more enlightened or awakened, that certain people I gravitate towards and there's a a recognition on some level. And I know this because I'm like, I know you from somewhere, and I know it sounds crazy, but I like I I don't say this out loud, but I just feel that recognition. And before I would mistake that recognition with meaning, that this person's meant for me. And I'm talking about in a romantic capacity. Whereas now Christine Gold: Yes. Denise: I'm looking at it and actively living it where I'm seeing this person, it's not that, but there's something that we are to learn from one another and take that and and let it go. And what that Christine Gold: Yes. Denise: what letting it go looks like, I don't know. Will that person remain in my life? Who knows? Maybe this was just a short stint. But it's funny to be in this space where you recognize that now. And it's an understanding that chemistry and connection doesn't necessarily mean permanency. It's part of your soul's evolution. Christine Gold: Yeah. Like that infatuation thing. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: When I hear people say I get butterflies, I'm like, that's not a good thing actually. Denise: Your soul's like this person's gonna teach you something. Yeah. Christine Gold: That's right. Like all these shows, like these love stories, like these dating things, like on Netflix, like it's insanity. it's Denise: Yeah. Yeah. Christine Gold: actually teaching you about the people you don't want in your life. Seriously. All the Denise: Right. There's intensity for a reason. Christine Gold: red flags. So there's the other part where I'm like, some people are so protective that they won't let anybody in. Don't be like that. Denise: Right. Christine Gold: But y it needs to be a yin and a yang, like a balance between the two. Okay, there's something here and I'm gonna investigate, I'm not just gonna jump right in and be all crazy. Like woo. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: It's like a respect for yourself. Have that Denise: Right. Christine Gold: respect. And they have to earn those markers along the way. Denise: Exactly. Christine Gold: And look for the green flags again. I want someone I can feel their energies good, great. They are kind, great. They are funny. Maybe they're a little shy. That's fine. Like it but they're they're here. They've they've showed up. And you don't want those fair weather people that only call you when they need something or Denise: Right. Christine Gold: when they're in a crisis. Don't be picking up the phone. Don't don't pick up the phone because if you have repeat offenders, please pay attention. You're not and I've even had this with my own mother who I would tell her I can't talk to you anymore when you are under the influence of alcohol. I would actually put those boundaries in place because those are soul draining as well. Those take from you Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: little hits. And little things. So Yeah, and this whole idea that you're supposed to be friends with everybody, no. Not everybody's for you. And there's Denise: No, we don't have the energy. Christine Gold: just some people that you don't like. And they don't like you. And well, Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: that's fine. and and a spiritual protection, redirection, doors slammed in your face for a reason. Stop knocking on those doors. Denise: Exactly. Christine Gold: Because that one door you're so hyper focused on, you're missing the thousand other doors. Denise: Right. Christine Gold: And I will say this, I've stayed in, you know, I grew up in Calgary most of my life, and I keep coming back, but I've now I'm preparing to move across the country because doors I've been here for a couple years and doors keep slamming, slamming, slamming. I'm like, okay, I'm ready to move. And as soon as I made that decision. All these things start coming in. I'm getting offers and yeah, it's a thing. Denise: That's where people I wish or I want them to take away from this episode specifically is when you're met with these slammed doors in your face. It's not because you're cursed. It's not that the universe doesn't want you to thrive. It's that you're meant for more. And it's time to move on. Christine Gold: Yes. Denise: And you can sit in that victim mindset, but then you won't evolve. And I want everybody that feels that nudge to evolve. And that's where people like you come in, where they provide some clarity, some support, because we can't do it alone. I'm say speaking to myself even because even if you're an intuitive person and you're walking the walk, there's still things that you need help with. Because on a human level, we are only capable of so much and we need guidance, we need support. And sometimes the noise becomes too loud and we need somebody to ground us and be that channel again for us and carry that when we can't carry it ourselves. And that's the beauty. of being a human, Christine Gold: right. We're a community is who we are. We raise each other up in a in those villages together. Because Denise: Yes. Yes. Christine Gold: one person has this expertise and then another, and then you bring them all together and you have all these amazing resources. Denise: Yes. Christine Gold: and I want to say that spirit is always bringing you signs and symbols and synchronicities. Are you paying attention? Denise: Always. Yep. Christine Gold: because that that's the biggest piece. And the more that you pay attention, the more that will come in. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: So I I invite people and play games with spirit. Like when I'm filling up my car, I'm like, ooh, it's gonna be forty-five dollars or whatever, and it's like forty-five, one. Okay, great. You know, just let my bill Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: comes in. I'm like, okay, I'm going to intuit this bill. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: And bill is not a it's ooh, I get to pay this. But many of us put too much on money. And I mostly I hear root chakra issues. I don't have enough money. I don't I'm not safe and I'm not secure. Denise: Yeah. Christine Gold: So please work on your grounding and me I mean for this month I just did a energy video on YouTube about September's reset. It's all about building your sanctuary, your inner sanctuary, your security, your safety, your foundation. Denise: Exactly. Yeah. Well, this conversation alone is proof I always tell people I set the intention even when I listen to podcast episodes that I hear what I need to hear. But every guest that I've had so far has a resonance with me, which in turn I believe has a resonance with the people who listen. we are guided to certain people for a reason. And that's what I want to share here. If you're listening to this, there's a reason there's something that you need to unveil. And people like Christine will help. And I'll have Christine's information in the show notes. But I always invite people, if there's curiosity, please explore it, even if you're scared. I know it's scary, especially if you're new to spirituality, to go to somebody and be vulnerable and allow yourself to be seen in ways that maybe you haven't even wanted to see yourself. But it's the beginning of something beautiful. I can say that From my own experience and you always know the universe has your back, even when you speak to me, and it sounds like you're speaking individually to me and telling me things that I need to hear, because it is things I need to hear, but not just me, it's everyone. Even the money wound, that is something that I fear. So that's I'm staying in something that provides quote unquote security because I'm afraid of what it looks like to delve into and just take the leap. And of course you want to take strategized leaps, right? Sometimes, but there's a balance between everything and So yeah, I just want to thank you so much for coming on and for taking the time to speak to the the listeners and to shed some knowledge on your journey because it really is you've come so far and having come from a place of not wanting to live and job hopping to being where you are now and helping others is just purely I say amazing a lot, but what other word? I can't think of a word that encompasses it. It's just it's admirable. Christine Gold: No, thank you. And I appreciate what you're how you're so open and I mean and the fact that you're curious and you don't have to be and and spiritual spiritual just means your your soul, your yourself. That's Denise: Yeah. Yep. Christine Gold: I think we we have too many labels with spirituality as well. or if you say it's too woo, you got stuff to work on because you're living here. You're not living Denise: That's right. Christine Gold: in the heart, you're living in the mind. That's why you say, it's too much or I need Science to confirm it. Ooh, ye there's a lot of work that needs to be done. and I also only reflect what you already know and confirm what you already know. You just need me or someone else to go, yep. And you're like and it just hits you somewhere and then things you start opening up more and things start to heal and move, all those blocks and energy gaps or whatever leaks, it just starts to clear away and that's what I want for people. Live your best life now. Denise: Yes, yes. When you live your best life, you empower everyone around you to do so as well. So so that's the biggest takeaway Christine Gold: Yes. Denise: I think here. And again, thank you all so much for listening. I will be back again next week and again I will have Christine's information in the show notes. So please reach out to her if you are looking for clarity on your purpose, connection, or just have any sort of curiosity. Please do so. Thank you again and I will see you all next week.
