- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by the hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities, CEOs and even royalty, Adam Cox.
- 0:20These recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's
- 0:24world famous Harley Street, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:39Hi, it's Adam here. And in this hypnosis session,
- 0:43it's all about getting lean and strong and toned and the
- 0:48confidence and self esteem that comes with that.
- 0:50So if you've ever really wanted to unleash a whole new level of
- 0:54confidence that comes from looking good and feeling good,
- 0:58then I think you'll get some value from this session.
- 1:01So in this session I was working with a.
- 1:03Client that had. A period in their past, about 8
- 1:07years before, where they were jogging regularly, they were
- 1:10exercising, they were eating well, and that's when they
- 1:14considered their self esteem to be at its highest.
- 1:17So we start this session with an element of regression.
- 1:20Then we have a metaphor. With.
- 1:23The party game past the parcel. And that's because sometimes the
- 1:27actual reason we think we're doing something isn't for the
- 1:30reason, but several layers. Beneath that reason.
- 1:34And for this client. The core reason beneath it all?
- 1:37Was happiness and that's important because snacking on
- 1:41food can feel like happiness if you don't feel it's possible to
- 1:44get what you really want, that would actually give happiness so
- 1:49we use. That as a.
- 1:50Metaphor to highlight what they really want.
- 1:53And then there's future pacing, and we use this idea of a
- 1:56crystal ball in the past, the past, or for them to see a
- 1:59future. Where all of these things?
- 2:02That would link together. So by eating well and exercising
- 2:06more, they feel better in their own body, their self esteem goes
- 2:09up, they feel more personal pride.
- 2:12And then that can lead to them actually wanting to pursue a
- 2:14relationship but not compromising or settling the
- 2:17kind of relationship they would actually want.
- 2:19And then that could lead to moments of actual pure
- 2:22happiness. And then we create a game show
- 2:24metaphor of comparisons. They get to compare this life
- 2:29that they've just thought of in their future of real happiness
- 2:33and them looking confident and lean and healthy or snacking as
- 2:37much as they want. And what that does is it then
- 2:40creates. The ability to.
- 2:41Create micro choices on a daily basis.
- 2:45Do they want that biscuit or that chocolate, or do they
- 2:49actually want to move toward that future that would actually
- 2:51give them all of that confidence, all of that
- 2:54happiness, all of that high self?
- 2:56Esteem and these. Are the things going on in this
- 2:59particular session? Now, if you like hypnosis and
- 3:03you like the kind of stuff that I do, I would encourage you to
- 3:06check out the description, the show notes of this particular
- 3:10show. Because in there you're going to
- 3:13see lots of free things that I give away, like free downloads
- 3:15and free courses. And if you like the idea of
- 3:18working with me, there's also a link to schedule a free
- 3:21consultation call and we can have a chat to see if I could be
- 3:24the right hypnotherapist for you.
- 3:26For now, though, to get the most out of this hypnosis session,
- 3:30and to get you feeling lean and strong and motivated to become
- 3:33so, find a quiet, comfortable place where you won't be.
- 3:36Disturbed, relax and. Enjoy the session.
- 4:00Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 4:07feeling of relaxation. And as you exhale, just make
- 4:11your body comfortable. And in that outward breath, just
- 4:16close your eyes and notice with your eyes closed how much easier
- 4:23it becomes to focus on the sound of my voice.
- 4:30Each breath takes you deeper and more relaxed.
- 4:41That's it. Breathing in a feeling of calm
- 4:45relaxation and as you exhale, feeling more of that release, as
- 5:00if any stress, tension, worries are just melting away, helping
- 5:08you to make that shift from the waking world to an inner world.
- 5:22And everyone enters that inner world every now and then.
- 5:27Sometimes it's a Daydream, sometimes it's getting lost in a
- 5:33good book. Nostalgia is entering that inner
- 5:39world. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 5:43more you activate the neural pathways needed to enter that
- 5:49place. A place where your intuition,
- 5:55logic, conscious, and unconscious are all working in
- 6:01harmony to create wonderful changes that give you more of
- 6:09what you want and less of what you don't.
- 6:15But before we enter that place, first you can take stock of all
- 6:25of the powerful, profound changes.
- 6:30You've. Already made.
- 6:35Some of those changes have already enhanced the quality of
- 6:40your health. Your life gave you a feeling
- 6:44that if you can change that thing, you can change something
- 6:46else. And the more you acknowledge
- 6:53that you have already made changes and it feels like
- 6:58momentum is already working for you.
- 7:05It's easier to steer a ship that's already in motion than to
- 7:10steer a ship that is static. And you are already moving
- 7:16towards a future of more confidence, more self esteem,
- 7:23improved health, fitness and vitality simply because of what
- 7:29you've already done in the past. I want you to get a sense that
- 7:39we're not doing something new, just enhancing a direction that
- 7:43you're already moving in. So as you breathe in and breathe
- 7:49out, give permission to yourself to drift even deeper to that
- 7:58place, the kind of place where breathing becomes effortless.
- 8:09Tension around your neck and shoulders seems to melt away,
- 8:15eyelids feel completely relaxed, and even your arms and legs
- 8:19might feel limp, loose and heavy.
- 8:27And I want you to think that memory can be a trance.
- 8:34And I want you to think back to a version of you perhaps eight
- 8:40years ago or so, when you were doing certain things
- 8:47consistently and the result of which was increased fitness, but
- 8:55also higher confidence and self esteem, because you've already
- 9:03noticed this. The people with the highest self
- 9:07esteem regularly do difficult things.
- 9:15They want to be challenged. They're not taking an easy path.
- 9:22The easy path makes it. Impossible to feel.
- 9:25Pride accomplishment. But doing difficult things or
- 9:32even simple things consistently is worthy of pride
- 9:38accomplishment. So would you think back to that
- 9:42time in your life where you were running regularly?
- 9:49I want you to recall that the first few times you did, it felt
- 9:54strange because you weren't used to doing it.
- 9:58But remember how quickly that passed.
- 10:02It wasn't long before those runs, that fitness, that eating
- 10:11well became something that you just did.
- 10:22That's it. Breathing in, breathing out,
- 10:28more and more relaxed now. That's it.
- 10:29And the more you think about that time in your life, the more
- 10:38you feel a wonderful sense of possibility that's in you can
- 10:52close your eyes or keep them open, whichever feels more
- 10:55comfortable. That's it.
- 10:59But you could defocus your eyes, because sometimes people access
- 11:05a memory not by closing their eyes, but defocusing in just
- 11:11thinking back to that time and recalling, recalling then.
- 11:20It was hard before it was easy, and it was unpleasant before it
- 11:27became enjoyable. I just imagine floating back and
- 11:32being a witness, an observer you from your present, looking back
- 11:41at that version of you in your past.
- 11:47And I want you to notice as an observer, you can feel
- 11:52admiration, inspiration and know that this was you.
- 12:00And then start to have a conversation with that version
- 12:05of you and just ask them how they feel, their confidence
- 12:14levels and notice that confidence does not exist in
- 12:21just one area of life. When fitness improves, self
- 12:27esteem rises, but then social confidence improves too.
- 12:34I want you to get a sense that this has been you in the past
- 12:41and you don't need to replicate that, but it is irrefutable
- 12:46evidence of your ability to do certain things consistently and
- 12:54even enjoy them to get into that flow state.
- 12:59So imagine stepping into that version of you and just feel how
- 13:05you would feel if a week after week after week, several times a
- 13:12week, you were more physically active, eating well.
- 13:18And just imagine the impact, the subtle changes on your body,
- 13:25leaner, more toned, and just feel that that is exactly
- 13:33planting a seed in your subconscious mind.
- 13:38And imagine a park nearby to where you used to run back then,
- 13:44and just imagine there's a comfortable chair in that park.
- 13:47And just imagine what it would feel like to have awakened all
- 13:52of those resources back then. And just imagine having a
- 13:56relaxing sit on that chair in that park, maybe looking at the
- 14:01clouds in the sky or a nearby pond, and allow yourself to
- 14:06drift more and more comfortably relaxed.
- 14:10That's it. And I want you to recall a time
- 14:15from your childhood when you were playing past the parcel.
- 14:22Maybe you were just three, 4-5 years old.
- 14:24And remember when the music stopped, if you were holding the
- 14:30parcel, you would take off 1 layer of wrapping paper, the
- 14:35music would start again and it would go around.
- 14:39And I want you to get a sense that sometimes there are layers
- 14:45to what you want, to what you really want, to what your
- 14:49unconscious really needs. And I want you to get a sense
- 14:54then what if eating well is just the first wrapping paper?
- 15:03And beyond that, I want you to get a sense of what if it's
- 15:09feeling good, feeling accomplished, and the next level
- 15:15under is your self esteem and confidence rises.
- 15:21And because that's happened, I want you to feel that doorways
- 15:28that are closed or you have no desire to walk through then
- 15:34become appealing, or at least possible.
- 15:38Not because circumstances have changed, but because you have.
- 15:46I want you to get a feeling that what if these are all natural
- 15:51progressions, side effects where one thing leads to something
- 15:56else and leads to something else?
- 15:59And what if the final present in the middle is just happiness?
- 16:07Feeling that how you want your life to be and how it is seems
- 16:13to match. And that's how it is for most
- 16:17people. And how they want their life to
- 16:21be is so different from how it is.
- 16:23It can create dissatisfaction, frustration, or other emotions.
- 16:29But the closer the two, idea and reality emerge.
- 16:37Happiness or satisfaction or joy or gratitude tend to come up
- 16:43more frequently. And I want you to imagine the
- 16:47present. Right in the middle of that past
- 16:50the parcel is a crystal ball, a kind of crystal ball that a
- 16:57fortune teller might have at the fair.
- 17:00And just imagine staring into that crystal ball and seeing
- 17:04your life one year from now. Exactly 1 year from now.
- 17:12Think of the date it will be 1 year from now.
- 17:16And imagine seeing yourself one year of healthier choices.
- 17:22Not perfect choices, just healthier with more activity,
- 17:29more runs, more workouts, more hikes or walks.
- 17:35Just more activity. No need for 6:00 AM runs.
- 17:41Just see what a version of you one year from now looks like
- 17:47being consistently more active over 12 months.
- 17:52See that version of you that could have that snack, but
- 17:58either finds a healthy alternative or figures out that
- 18:02snack would be the equivalent of 10 or 20 minutes of exercise,
- 18:08and they get to feel as good as if they've worked out for 20
- 18:11minutes just by not eating that thing.
- 18:16And imagine seeing that over a year.
- 18:21All good movies that have an action hero sometimes have a
- 18:25montage sequence and just imagine your montage condense a
- 18:34year down to a minute in your mind and just imagine what that
- 18:39would be like. More of certain things, less of
- 18:43other things, and you see the progress as every good montage
- 18:47does. Initially, progress is slow, and
- 18:53then improvements, and more and more, perhaps seeing yourself at
- 19:00some point in this montage, finding a relationship.
- 19:04Not what you're settling, not what you're compromising, but
- 19:09the kind of relationship that ticks your boxes, makes you look
- 19:14forward to meeting that person and see yourself in that crystal
- 19:18ball. Slim, lean, toned, smiling, and
- 19:24you can tell from your facial expression, your posture, this
- 19:29is a confident version of you in a relationship that you choose
- 19:35to be in because it serves your needs.
- 19:39And there's a willingness to walk away if it doesn't because
- 19:46you have that level of confidence.
- 19:49And then see something at the end of that montage that would
- 19:52represent evidence that that future version of you is happy.
- 19:59And if you can think of what that image might be, let me know
- 20:01by nodding your head. That's it.
- 20:04And then work backwards and think what was the most
- 20:11important consistent change over that 12 months.
- 20:17And don't be surprised if it's an evaluation, a thought, a
- 20:22comparison, because I want you to now make a choice.
- 20:29Consider it like a game show. Box A or Box B.
- 20:34Box A is this future in the crystal ball and box B.
- 20:41As much snacking and takeaways as you could possibly want.
- 20:47No restrictions, no need to work out, just sit on the couch.
- 20:52No need to do anything that involves effort or sweating,
- 20:57just indulgence and gratification.
- 21:03Box A is happiness, Box B is a substitute.
- 21:09And you get to choose not just once, but consistently over the
- 21:15next 12 months. But allow the choice to come not
- 21:20from your logical conscious mind, but from your unconscious
- 21:24mind. And if you're unconscious,
- 21:27intuitively knows what is infinitely more desirable, let
- 21:32me know by nodding your head. And therefore you are empowered
- 21:39to choose. And every time you see that
- 21:42thing that would take you towards gratification and away
- 21:47from happiness, ask yourself, what do you prefer?
- 21:55To feel good in the moment or to gravitate towards a future that
- 21:59feels good every day? And as you get a sense of that
- 22:08future, consider yourself putting the coordinates into
- 22:13Agps system and allow your unconscious mind to feel that
- 22:18that is now your destination locked into it.
- 22:23And sometimes you've been on a journey and you've taken a wrong
- 22:27turn. And the SAT NAV simply says make
- 22:31AU turn and you do. I want you to get a feeling that
- 22:36setbacks are not failures, just delays.
- 22:41It may take you longer to get to the destination, but the only
- 22:45way you fail is to drive in entirely the wrong direction.
- 22:51A wrong turn is no big deal so long as you get back on track.
- 22:58Let's start to leave this place, taking all of these thoughts,
- 23:00ideas and inspiration with you. Clarity of your previous self
- 23:07eight years ago. Fit, healthy, confident and your
- 23:11future self. Fit, healthy, confident and
- 23:17consider yourself able to take wisdom from the past and
- 23:21inspiration from the future. So take a deep breath in through
- 23:25your nose and out through your nose.
- 23:30Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes, connect and calibrate
- 23:34into the here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to
- 23:39awaken you. Starting to count 123 waking up
- 23:45456 more alert. 7-8 open your eyes. 910 wide awake, wide
- 23:53awake, wide awake.
