- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing.
- 0:12Genuine issues. Brought to you by The
- 0:14Hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities CE OS and even
- 0:18royalty Adam Cox, these recordings took place live from
- 0:22Evans Clinic in London's world famous Harley Street.
- 0:29So get yourself comfortable and enjoy today's episode of The
- 0:33Hypnotist. Hi, it's Adam here and you're
- 0:41about to listen to a hypnosis session all about digestive
- 0:45health. And I was working with a client
- 0:48that felt they had many symptoms that related to IBS, so
- 0:53irritable bowel syndrome. They didn't have pain, but they
- 0:56had a lot of turbulence and a lot of discomfort and they
- 1:00didn't want that feeling. But also because they had that
- 1:03feeling, they were making the assessment that certain things
- 1:06that they used to like to do, like socializing and swimming,
- 1:10they couldn't do. And that becomes a bit of a self
- 1:13fulfilling prophecy. So in this hypnosis session, you
- 1:16could be listening to two main things.
- 1:19One suggestions designed to rest and digest to alleviate symptoms
- 1:25in the digestive system, and the second is to encourage to
- 1:31increase and expand the comfort zone.
- 1:33Because. If people avoid doing things
- 1:36because they feel uncomfortable, it takes less and less to create
- 1:40that same level of discomfort. The opposite is.
- 1:43Also true when you go beyond the comfort zone it then requires
- 1:46more to create the same level of discomfort.
- 1:50And your world. Gets bigger.
- 1:51So if either of those things are true for you.
- 1:54So you either have digestive issues and bowel issues, or
- 1:59you're feeling like your world is getting smaller, then you
- 2:02will benefit from this session. Some of the suggestions are
- 2:05going to be very specific to the client that I was working with,
- 2:08in which case just ignore any suggestions that aren't relevant
- 2:11to you. And at the same time, I'm
- 2:15getting feedback from people on messages and comments that they
- 2:19would just rather listen to the hypnosis session rather than my
- 2:23intro explanation and the outro that comes at the end.
- 2:27And if that sounds like you, then there will also be a link
- 2:30in the description where you can subscribe to get the hypnosis
- 2:34only versions of my hypnosis sessions.
- 2:37So if that feels like it would be beneficial, then you can
- 2:41check out that link. Now the cost of that, by the
- 2:44way, is the same cost as half the price of just getting a
- 2:47download that I sell on my Shopify store.
- 2:50So for half the price of one session you just get unlimited
- 2:54access every month to all of my hypnosis only sessions.
- 2:57So if that sounds of interest. Then check that out.
- 3:00For now, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:03won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 3:26Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 3:35resourceful feeling of calm and relaxation.
- 3:40And as you exhale, feel a wonderful feeling of release, as
- 3:51if tension, stress, or worries. It's starting to leave your body
- 3:59in your outward breath. And when you breathe in, breathe
- 4:05in for longer. And as you exhale, just allow
- 4:13that outward breath to just let go, to enable you to feel that
- 4:24feeling of release. Thoughts, worries, stress,
- 4:31anxiety. Just imagine it melting away and
- 4:37leaving your body. And notice your eyelids getting
- 4:44heavier. And with your eyes closed,
- 4:48notice how easy it is to focus on the sound of my voice taking
- 4:58you deeper and deeper. Relaxed.
- 5:03That's it. And I wonder if you could
- 5:08imagine breathing in pure, healing white light.
- 5:17Imagine breathing in through your nose, feeling that healing
- 5:22white light going alongside your sinuses, down into your lungs.
- 5:35And just imagine that healing white light going down into your
- 5:41gut as you exhale. Just imagine a dark shadowy
- 5:49colour leaving your body and allow that to represent any pent
- 5:57up stress, anxiety and worries as you imagine breathing in pure
- 6:03white light that is healing and releasing any emotions that
- 6:11could be making you feel tired or down.
- 6:17And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 6:23And the more relaxed you become the deeper you breathe.
- 6:30Each breath takes you deeper and deeper than the last.
- 6:37That's it. And as your physical body
- 6:43relaxes, your imagination awakens, and I wonder if you can
- 6:51imagine what it would be like to keep your physical body where it
- 6:55is and allow your imagination to be on a sandy beach in Portugal.
- 7:08I want you to imagine blue skies, sunshine, imagine rough
- 7:15turbulent waves, and just imagine a lounger there beneath
- 7:27some shade, perhaps a beach umbrella.
- 7:33And I wonder if you could imagine lying on that lounger
- 7:37looking out at the sea. And I want you to see those big
- 7:46turbulent waves, the rough seas. And I want you to imagine that
- 7:51that's what it feels inside sometimes turbulent, restless,
- 7:58volatile. But as you continue to breathe
- 8:02in, then healing white light all the way down into your gut, I
- 8:12wonder if you could imagine those rough, turbulent seas
- 8:18starting to calm. And as the seas calm, I want you
- 8:24to feel that you are training your body and brain and your
- 8:31intuition how to calm your nervous system.
- 8:38And even if the sea isn't like that, in your imagination it can
- 8:43be. Imagine those turbulent rough
- 8:47seas becoming calm and relaxing and at rest.
- 8:57And as you imagine yourself on the lounger looking out at the
- 9:02now calm sea, I wonder if you can imagine what it would be
- 9:10like to let go even more. Imagine just placing your feet
- 9:20slightly in the sand. Just feel that soothing
- 9:25heaviness pulling you deeper and deeper into comfort, into ease,
- 9:34into relaxation. I want you to notice the colour
- 9:44and all the different shades of colours of the water, and it may
- 9:51change depending on the sunshine and clouds, but maybe you notice
- 9:57deep Blues, turquoise, the sunlight shimmering off the
- 10:05surface in golden fragments, and even the sound.
- 10:14Because even calm waters have regular waves, and every sound
- 10:23of those waves brings you further into peace.
- 10:30Like the whole world is breathing with you.
- 10:35Slow, steady, calm, and just imagine what it would feel like
- 10:44to turn down the dial of all of these intense emotions.
- 10:53Dial down anxiety, dial down stress, and feel how you would
- 10:59feel if you've been relaxing on that beach for more than a week,
- 11:06refreshed, recharged, and feeling reinvigorated.
- 11:19And as you drift, I want you to imagine your body as an
- 11:25orchestra, and each instrument is a system.
- 11:32Your digestion, your breathing, your heart and your mind.
- 11:41Maybe sometimes it feels like when something stressful
- 11:45happens, or the possibility of something not going to plan.
- 11:53The instruments play to their own rhythm.
- 11:58The violin's faster than the piano, other instruments loud,
- 12:04others soft, and if it feels sometimes that your body is out
- 12:12of sync, just let me know by nodding your head.
- 12:17That's it. Just like all the instruments
- 12:23beginning to play at different tempos, out of time, out of
- 12:28tune. But I want you to feel what it
- 12:33would feel if you were both the listener and the conductor.
- 12:42And now just imagine recalibrating that orchestra,
- 12:53bringing the instruments together in harmony, your breath
- 12:58steady, your gut calm, your whole body falling into rhythm,
- 13:07balance and ease. And you can still hear the
- 13:18breaking waves. And with every wave upon the
- 13:22shore, the music becomes smoother, more fluid, more
- 13:32graceful, and your body responds with a perfect balance of calm
- 13:40and flow. And sometimes, as it always
- 13:49does, a thought can appear, a worry, a sensation.
- 13:59And you can allow yourself to notice that these thoughts are
- 14:06very similar to clouds passing across the sky of that
- 14:12Portuguese beach. And you are not the clouds, you
- 14:20are the wide, endless sky. The thoughts move across and
- 14:27then they move on. And I want you to feel that just
- 14:33because you think a thought doesn't mean you have to feel a
- 14:37sensation. As you become the observer, you
- 14:43can think of thought and allow it to float on by.
- 14:49And every time you release a cloud, the sky becomes brighter
- 14:56and you feel lighter, freer, more spacious within.
- 15:05And even if a cloud of discomfort arrives, you know how
- 15:11to release it. And with each release, you
- 15:16return calmer than before. And just imagine really enjoying
- 15:27resting on that beach. And I want you to imagine
- 15:36someone has surrounded your lounger with a big rope circle.
- 15:46And just imagine that if you try to leave that lounger and
- 15:51approach the rope, if you felt discomfort, unsettled, or
- 15:59anxious, you might return from the edge of the rope back to
- 16:05your lounger. You could just imagine if every
- 16:11time you refuse to pass the threshold of the rope circle,
- 16:18the circle got smaller and smaller.
- 16:23It wouldn't take long until you're trapped.
- 16:28They're on the lounger and you would be limited.
- 16:34But I want you to get a feeling then.
- 16:38You feel. Inspired, motivated, courageous,
- 16:47so that even if you don't feel like it, you have an
- 16:51irresistible urge to go beyond the rope circle.
- 16:59And every time you go beyond, the circle expands and gets
- 17:05wider, and everything within the circle feels comfortable, and
- 17:13everything outside the circle can feel unsettling.
- 17:17And when you think of it that way, avoiding the edge of your
- 17:26circle just means that more things feel like it would
- 17:33provoke anxiety, discomfort, and a physical reaction in your
- 17:39body. And therefore it's.
- 17:42Obvious what to? Do to feel a desire to expand
- 17:49your circle. I want you to think of a time
- 17:53when you were swimming regularly and realise that that right now
- 18:00might be outside of your circle. We're socializing more often,
- 18:07we're doing more speeches, more meetings, more pitches.
- 18:17I want you to feel that the very comfort that you desire is not
- 18:24within the circle. It comes from expanding the
- 18:29circle. And every time you step into
- 18:34something new, your circle expands.
- 18:41And every time you do something that you used to do and not
- 18:46doing, the circle expands. It doesn't shrink, it only
- 18:53grows. And I want you to feel how
- 19:00wonderful it would feel. But by expanding the circle,
- 19:06your physical body adapts. Because why not make that circle
- 19:13so big? Everything feels doable, nothing
- 19:18feels daunting, and then your body will feel safe and feel
- 19:25comfortable no matter what is going on.
- 19:33As you start to think about all of your accomplishments and
- 19:35achievements, you're reminded just how resourceful you are.
- 19:43You've taken risks, you've done difficult things, and therefore
- 19:50let's reawaken those resources and those skills to feel a
- 19:57desire. To act as if you have the very
- 20:04health, vitality and enthusiasm that you desire.
- 20:10And by acting that way, your circle expands and you feel
- 20:17exactly as you would want to feel.
- 20:25And now imagine, in the days and weeks ahead, what it would be
- 20:31like to see that future version of you swimming.
- 20:38And maybe you see yourself swimming a different stroke, or
- 20:42in a different pool at a different time of day, or at a
- 20:48slower pace. It doesn't matter.
- 20:53What matters is you see yourself doing something that gives you
- 20:59joy, mobility and fitness and feels good.
- 21:09See yourself swimming, your body moving freely, strong, capable
- 21:16and calm. And then imagine yourself
- 21:21meeting up with someone you haven't seen for a while.
- 21:28See yourself in those social situations, but not with the
- 21:33face of discomfort or angst. See yourself smiling, confident,
- 21:44excited for the future. And I want you to imagine what
- 21:52your business may look like a few months from now, your health
- 21:57restored and there is a new passion, a new level of
- 22:03enthusiasm. Something has changed to make
- 22:09you feel it's something you want to do.
- 22:12Or perhaps you're in the process of selling that business and you
- 22:20feel excited. Excited about the change in your
- 22:25role and perhaps the future freedom you will enjoy.
- 22:34But I want you to see yourself thriving, not merely surviving.
- 22:41Leaning in to those things that felt daunting.
- 22:47See yourself looking optimistic and revitalized.
- 22:53And when you see that future version of you more active, a
- 23:01new lease of life, energized, let me know by nodding your
- 23:06head. And then step into that future
- 23:11version of you like you're trying on new clothes in a
- 23:16fitting room. And notice how that future
- 23:21version of you feels remarkably similar to how you have felt in
- 23:27the past as we reawaken all of those neural pathways that know
- 23:34exactly how to feel that way. And I want you to get a sense
- 23:43that all that's different is what you focus on, what
- 23:48evaluations you make, and the desire to expand your circle
- 23:57rather than inadvertently contracted as you return back to
- 24:06that beach. The circle is so wide now.
- 24:11It's beyond the beach. And I want you to have that
- 24:15sense of freedom, liberation and enthusiasm as you imagine
- 24:21swimming in the now calm waters, feeling that your body is
- 24:28aligned, recalibrated like a Symphony, all playing in perfect
- 24:37harmony. But it's time to leave this
- 24:41beach. But you return with all of these
- 24:45new thoughts, ideas, emotions, and recalibrations, realizing
- 24:53that this has been a journey in your imagination, a journey of
- 24:59thoughts within thoughts, ideas within ideas, and dreams within
- 25:04dreams. So take a deep breath in through
- 25:07your nose and out through your nose.
- 25:12Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes as you connect
- 25:18and calibrate into the here and now as I now count from 1:00 to
- 25:2310:00 to awaken you starting to count 123 waking up 456 more
- 25:32alert 7-8 open your eyes, open your eyes, 910.
- 25:38Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
