- 0:00[SPEAKER_00]: All right, welcome back to the gym business coach podcast where I was Tim Lions join my Zach Columbia that I was some guy you got the memo for the the V net like these the the deep V I am a shallow V guy.
- 0:13[SPEAKER_00]: All right, listen guys.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about a topic that's it's very prevalent right now very very top of mind
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: prep peptides peptides in your gym whether or not you should offer them pros and cons like what what are you doing and so let's let's talk about
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: All of the gurus in the market pushing something to sell to Jim owners for them to offer peptides.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, we've got this new high ticket thing, offer peptides.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: If you don't, you're going to be left behind, like all of the pressures of a new shiny object.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: to be pushed into a sold to gyms, to then offer some type of program.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, listen, guys, there is very two, two sides of this.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: And probably a third side, we'll talk about in a second.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: uh... whether or not you should whether or not it's a good idea uh... and you know i'm split on this i'm not saying not to do it so like don't get me wrong at like i see a lot of cons in this also see a lot of pros and i say we just jump right into it man uh... you know peptides have taken the world by storm is the wild west it really kind of started before
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: GLP ones were around what were the what were the shots of people like even the body bills were taken there was in low vials, but they weren't peptides or something else I don't know thing it the like BCP one Yeah, I've said then what I've said for recovery or yeah, like that yeah, I'm just called something else, but anyways, you know, listen, there's there's these
- 1:48[SPEAKER_00]: and they come out every single week.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: I can't keep dribbler out of this.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: So many difference.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he won five seven.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Wolverine stack.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: G-O-P-1, you know, something the G-H-K copper for your hair.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: You can do it.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_00]: I actually use that one.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_00]: Dave?
- 2:04[SPEAKER_00]: Good for you.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: Good for you.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: Um, listen.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: And so,
- 2:08[SPEAKER_00]: There's all this research going on with peptides and at the end of the day, you have to start asking questions about them like do they work?
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: Are your clients asking about them?
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: Are your clients already taking them?
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Who are they getting them from?
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: are they asking you about them are you recommending them as a as their trainer as our gym owner are you you know should you participate in the upside profit in compensation of of you know selling these or offering them a referring them in my goddess it's just a mess right now and I don't want any other way to say it but
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: it's the wild west.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: And as much as I try to read up on them and understand them and watch videos, I like that I don't understand any of it to be honest with you.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm pretty sure most Jim owners don't understand it either, but they're
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: feel like they should.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: They feel like they should offer it.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: They feel like, you know, my God, if my clients are coming to me for a specific result, why would an I say, this is a great option for you to also include in your fitness and wellness protocol, and this here
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: Are you by offering peptides to your clients out of scope as a fitness and exercise facility?
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: And the easiest answer that is, yeah, you're out of scope.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: This is not in, giving your clients injectable pharmaceutical grade.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: belly, or their leg, or whatever, is that out of scope for a personal trainer?
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it is.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: Then the question becomes, well, how is it any different than a supplement that you recommend?
- 4:09[SPEAKER_00]: Is that out of scope?
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: And in most gymers, we're like, no, I think supplements are in scope because it's a supplement to, you know, it's like, where's the line?
- 4:17[SPEAKER_01]: Where's the line?
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think?
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: I don't agree.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever, it was last week and you were like, I just imagine being a gym owner and just, he missed Johnson, like, go home into your bathroom and, you know, like, shove this needle into your butt and shoot this dog, and it's like, that's a very, when you put it in that context, it's a very interesting, like, thought, like, yeah, is that what you're asking your clients to do?
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think this goes back to a bigger problem in our industry
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: most gyms do not have an identity.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: They just don't have an identity a brand.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: When you're trying to like, when you go into business, you go into business to solve a problem.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: When you try to solve all the problems, you try to have a solution for all the problems, you don't have an identity.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, what are you known for?
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: And most gyms out there, it's like, you know, they're
- 5:22[SPEAKER_01]: they operate from such a place of desperation that any shiny ball, any like,
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: opportunity to make a little bit more money, they're like seizing and they're jumping on that bandwagon as opposed to going like hey how do we just be really really awesome and the best at one thing and be known for that and so they never can be you know known for one thing because they're always just like trying to create these other streams of revenue that really when you look at them,
- 5:56[SPEAKER_01]: They're totally different business model.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: Is this how to scope like you're saying it's how to scope it.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: But look guys, I'm I'm in support of the gym owners making a living.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you know, like helping gym owners win is the goal.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: My, and so like the question is, well, why shouldn't you as a gym owner make money technically from offering it or referring it as a
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: you're the one that that's kind of selling it because you're you're hopefully educating your clients on or whatever the thing new thing is so why wouldn't you deserve some type of compensation i'm saying yeah you do you should make money if that's the lane you're going to go down but the question is is that the lane you're going to go down what you're saying is you don't have an identity so therefore you're always coming from desperation so when something new comes along you jump on it
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: The question is, what are you doing it for?
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: Why are you trying to offer peptides as a solution inside of your gym?
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: If the answer is to just make money, then I think that's the wrong reason.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: If it's because if I don't do it, the guy down the street is and he's going to make money.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_00]: Again, that's the same thing.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: It's not good enough reason.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: This goes back to my five question matrix where I ask when it comes to a new profit center or a new offering, I ask five questions and they all have to be yes.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_00]: And even if one of them, even if they are all a yes, it still doesn't mean you should do it.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: It just means let's take it to the next stage.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'll just run through those real quick and you're going to have to answer these yes or no for yourself because these are your own beliefs.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Number one, do I believe in this?
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I do, I can see that they're working, but there's also side effects.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: I can see that people are getting amazing results in the appear to work, but then again, what is the source of those peptides where are they getting them, like it's the black market right now.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_00]: So like, do I believe in them?
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have to answer that as a general or like, do you believe it?
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Number two, will this get my clients better results, okay?
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's no question they get results.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: People are having amazing responses from some of these, you know, what dosage, what blends, what combinations, you know, do you just shoot it, not exactly it works, like, I don't do it.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: But also like, what is the result that you're promising your clients?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: too.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you know, like we've talked about that recently, like are you tying yourself to weight loss?
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the result that you're trying to get or is it or are you delivering something different?
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like longevity, movement quality, like what is the result that you're promising your clients?
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: So, results.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, that's again, that's another question you have to answer for yourself.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Number three, can I sell this?
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I think that probably you could
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: Right, most gyms like your clients are asking about it is becoming more mainstream.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: So that's number three.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: So again, to kind of recap, do I believe in this?
- 9:19[SPEAKER_00]: Will it get my clients better results?
- 9:21[SPEAKER_00]: Can I sell it?
- 9:22[SPEAKER_00]: Is there profit margin?
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, just because you can sell it, you're not a charity, you should make money.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_00]: Is there profit margin?
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: How would probably, oh, I don't know, I've looked at the numbers, but I argue, yeah, that's probably easiest part of this.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: And then the last one is, can I service this?
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Um, I don't know.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: You again, you have to look at your operations.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: Can you can you do consultations?
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: Can you do blood, like, are you, is it, and then probably the six one is it in scope?
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: That should be the six question.
- 9:51[SPEAKER_00]: Let's add shows now.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's now the six question matrix.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_00]: Is it in scope?
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: And then it becomes, well, for just a gym with no medical oversight, by, by definition, it's not, it's not in scope period.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: You're just not, you don't have any medical oversight, like you're just going to order from like a black label or white label provider and then you resell it.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: That's the sign of scope.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then yeah, like that the, you just picture Mrs. Johnson in the bathroom with needles and mix in like the water into the powder and like,
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: how much does it should I take and then they shoot it in their stomach or their leg or whatever but it's like that's what you're really asking your client to do.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think there's probably oral forms too.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: But like here we are, yeah, we're talking about peptides, we're talking about offering it as a solution.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: inside of your gym, we're also need to talk about liability, yeah.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_00]: And we also need to talk about side effects and things like that.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: So like it's just gray area right now, but I think it's something we just, I made a post like a week ago about this and I'm got, it's very split.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's very too excited.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: And
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: There was probably four or five people that I was expecting to chime in because they are selling the solution to jemones and all of them chimed in.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's just interesting.
- 11:18[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like you're there once out of the other.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what it's on among.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's out of our scope and I'm not willing to take on liability, but I do I believe that they work and do I believe?
- 11:27[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I guess it's I guess it's too early to tell.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: But at the end of the day, guys, you need to be very cautious from just deciding to go down this path because what happens if somebody dies, I don't know.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and that is like, you better be really, really sure that you know, you are getting it from a reputable source
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: Like pharmaceutical grade, they remove lipo polysaccharides from them, which if that's not removed, it creates an autoimmune response.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, something that's coming from the black market, if that's what you're giving your class, you could create a lot of health issues for your clients and then who's liable for that?
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_00]: And so like first off, I don't even know what you're talking about.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: Right, right.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think all these gem owners or what, you know what I mean?
- 12:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you don't think though.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's just like part of our day-to-day education.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: So you've obviously looked into this and you're kind of like interested.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know a little bit about it, but I don't know much.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: And there's new science coming out all the time.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and so to your point, like you better be careful.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I did, I did reach out to our insurance carrier and I had a conversation about
- 12:52[SPEAKER_00]: And he said two things, it depends on what the policy says, but in normal liability policies, this is out of scope, it would not be covered if you had a claim against injury.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Meaning, did you recommend it?
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: And they went somewhere else that to a somebody that you also recommended, you could also be named in the lawsuit.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to be additionally insured,
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: Well, let's talk about the medical provider in a second.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: As far as Jim's go, he told me they're not covered.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: he also said that there are aggressively trying to underwrite policies that would cover because they know Jim owners are going on this road and if they don't do it they'll be left behind so they're trying to figure out what their insurance carriers how to make this all kind of work because it's so new but as of right now like our policy doesn't cover it so like you know we couldn't do it.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: So then it comes, becomes the next question, and this is what's really interesting because those four people that did chime in on this post, they're selling a wellness program that would include blood work and all this stuff through a medical partner, and the argument becomes,
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: How much money does the gym make on a sale?
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's the driving thing.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Here's very interesting how this is coming up.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: One of the people that chimed in on that selling is like, you should make more than 5% percent, okay?
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: And the other one is like, well, why don't we participate in the profit and the upside?
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's all money driven.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's very interesting with direction these guys are going.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: In a kind of easier third-party situation, you would refer,
- 14:43[SPEAKER_00]: your client to a medical provider that would do and take all liability and do blood work and then prescribe x, y and z and then do checkups and everything else and you may be make some type of commission or an affiliate fee or you know pay pay back from that third party.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_00]: That's one way.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: And the people on the post were arguing, well that that cuts you out.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're not making enough.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_00]: Again, no liability, no like it's about money.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, with these folks.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_00]: The other side of the thing is you bring somebody in-house, they live and work within your four walls of your operation, they're part of your team, then you obviously have to get your insurance coverage and everything.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: Upgrading, everything else for a medical provider, then they're part of your team, you sell into it, you give them a cut the other way, right?
- 15:34[SPEAKER_00]: You're cutting them in to do their work, like just a click and a pulley would.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: So it's just, it's just interesting to me,
- 15:42[SPEAKER_00]: the direction and the aggressive nature of people that are responding because it's about the money.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's just really, really interesting to me.
- 15:51[SPEAKER_00]: Meanwhile, what about your gym?
- 15:54[SPEAKER_00]: What about what you're originally got into business and your fitness programs?
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, in the other piece of this that we have a mention yet, there's only so much money to go around.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_01]: Just look at GLP-1, OZemPIC, what portion of the population is on a GLP-1 now?
- 16:23[SPEAKER_01]: For, like, your goes a 1 and 8.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: I bet you we have 7 or 1 and 6.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it's just increasing.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_01]: Why is that?
- 16:29[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's the easy button.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_01]: What you're selling to the marketplace is hard.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you're aligning yourself with weight loss as the solution, much as she's as an example, well, the people that are coming in, you know, nine out of 10 people, maybe more than that.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_01]: They want the easy solution.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_01]: They're looking for the quick fix.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so if you're saying, hey, you can spend $500 a month and work really, really hard and show up consistently and take four hours out of your week.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: And that's option A or option B is you spend $800 a month on these peptides that you just take.
- 17:11[SPEAKER_01]: And you don't have to do any work.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_01]: And it's going to lose the weight.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: Which one are they going to go with?
- 17:20[SPEAKER_01]: You know, now you're asking your client to spend, you know, $1,300 a month.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be like, I can't afford that, but you know what?
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I could spend the 800 to do this.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_01]: I'm forget the gym membership.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to take the peptides.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: And you're shooting your own revenue in the foot, your main thing because you're now selling them into this other thing.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: And legit peptides are still expensive.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you can get the cheap ones, but I wouldn't go like, I wouldn't do that.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, get the most expensive ones.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you want to get the expensive ones, but you're able to get the expensive ones.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because you want to make sure you're not going to like, you know, create some health issues.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_01]: And it's reputable, but yeah, like you could.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_01]: If you're presenting somebody with that option to say, hey, here's what the ideal program looks like for you.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_01]: It's 500 for this 800 for this and it's like all the sudden they're going, hey, financially, I think I'm just going to go with that.
- 18:18[SPEAKER_00]: Do they $800 one?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_00]: You still make more $300 more as a gym if you bring it in house.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_00]: If you bring it in house, but it's like you're making $1300 or you're making $300 more.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, now that person's not training with you and you're just
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: peptide clinic.
- 18:32[SPEAKER_00]: You're out of to take clinic.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think absolutely right.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: And then the argument from somebody listening to this, like, well, well, they're going to get it somewhere.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_00]: So let's capture that revenue and keep them in house instead of losing that member altogether.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we switch them from 500 to 800, and now they're on this peptide, but yeah, but they're not doing a fitness anymore.
- 18:59[SPEAKER_00]: bottom line is there's more money to be made out there in the peptide world and it is the wild west and you could lose clients to somebody else and so like you have to weigh all of these things when you're making a decision whether or not to go down this path.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: if you are going to go down this path like look I'm split right I see both sides I don't know if I'm hardcore one way or another like I'm just not I just think it's out of our scope like could you bring it in house with medical oversight with prayer blood work and everything else.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_00]: and provide this solution to the clients that they're looking for already and give them the easy but yeah, I think you can.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_00]: But you better do it the right way.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_00]: You better have the insurance.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: You better know what you're talking about in the research and be very, very educated.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: And by default, you're changing your business by default.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: You are no longer a gem, you're a peptide clinic.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just what you're going to do.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_00]: And in like to your point, are they going to do both?
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: maybe some, but not everybody because money, you know, for a lot of folks is tight.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, you are, you're making a conscious decision to change your business.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: And just know that.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: And could you get some money for a while?
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and maybe maybe the FDA and the government shuts all this down in a year.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: So now what?
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, where are you building on?
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: Where do you build?
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: You've built on this unknown wild west, black market, broscience, style, like, you know, the guy down the street or the influencer got shredded and so on Reddit, two, two tied, or what other than the hell, it's called Reddit, true chides and all the other ones, in the Wolverine protocols.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: And he healed his biceps and his shoulder, you know, okay, cool.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you're doing now.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: It's just it is what it is.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: Well, right.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's amazing stuff like that's what we're saying like, hey, yeah, there's definitely a job taking it.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: So well, I don't it not internally, you know, trying to prevent the hair loss.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: Try to get a real fit up there.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I feel that son.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_00]: I feel that shit.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I feel threat.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: But right.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's, you know, there's.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's obviously an upside to it, you know, like I believe in these types of things, like there's right wrong way to do it.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: But again, like is it the right thing for your business?
- 21:33[SPEAKER_01]: You're saying, I don't know my personal take on it is like, man, I don't know that we should be dabbling in that.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: you know I'm if if I did and this isn't like legal advice but if we were going to do it I would set up a completely different LLC.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's under that umbrella.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: The gym has nothing to do with it.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_01]: You have to do two separate businesses.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_01]: Even if we were doing a referendum for different names not connected I don't want somebody you know growing a third year or whatever and then putting my gym out of business you know yeah it would be very very careful yeah.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: And whether or not you take them as a gym owner by all means, do whatever that you want.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: And what I'm concerned about is Mrs. Johnson, she came to you for some result and you're telling her to shoot needles into herself.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: Like that's what you're what we're over at.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like out the dinner with my parents over the weekend and I was telling my dad about this and I'm looking at my mom, like the mom, my mom would be a client, right?
- 22:35[SPEAKER_00]: For many gyms that listen to
- 22:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and she would fit the demographic and like how would I feel if Joe fitness bro and a jam and was content was telling me I'm on the shoot peptides, you know, without any medical oversight and blood work and all this other stuff.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_00]: just to make a buck at probably go, you know, smash that dude's face in just because of you just like, dude, that's my mom, right?
- 23:02[SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, or if you're, right, or if it's your 17 year old athlete that's same thing and same thing.
- 23:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's like man, you know, not that they're steroids, but you would kind of feel that like, what are they juicing my kid up with?
- 23:15[SPEAKER_01]: It just doesn't feel right.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_01]: I just think that it's like, if you think about all of the, if you're going to do this the right way, you're going to do it all out, right?
- 23:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, okay, I'm going to create like whole another separate business is going to be a service.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to have, you know, obviously we have the legal, the pricing around it.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_01]: We have to sell it.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: We have to market it.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_01]: We have to, you're creating a whole another business, essentially.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: Could you not make the same amount or more by putting that same effort into just your gym?
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: And to just your gym into having the right model and to dialing in your systems, creating you know, SOPs and processes and leading your team, investing and developing in your staff and like if you put the same amount of time and effort and energy into that, you can probably make just as much or more.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_00]: without all of the elements.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: All the other of those in the rest.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it brings, it's just a good conversation to have.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm glad we did this show because like, look, guys, this is the facts.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like good or bad.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's a lot of negatives, but I also see some pros.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I would argue tooth and nail against doing this if it's just for the money.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: like you said, if you do it the right way, you're going to have to spend the money to get it off the ground and all that extra effort and time against what you're going to make and maybe in the first year you're breaking even.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what if you just put that money and effort into the current thing you're already doing?
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: You're probably coming out ahead, at least in year one and two and then maybe who knows if it's even legal after that.
- 24:56[SPEAKER_00]: So guys, just be careful.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: That's the point in the message is it needs to be talked about
- 25:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think there's any argument here that it's whether or not it's in or out of scope.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: I believe we all believe it's out of scope.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, maybe believe it's in scope.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_00]: Again, it's everybody's going to have their own opinions, because there is no, there is no true answer here.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_00]: This is just a conversation we're having.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_00]: So be careful.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_00]: Talk to your insurance carriers.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_00]: Don't go into something.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know anything about just to make a buck and you're being sold.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_00]: Something just be careful.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully that helps you guys.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: We'll love to hear your comments on this.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure we will in YouTube.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: So that's it for this episode.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: Guys, until next time, keep changing lives.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see you on the next show.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_00]: Bye.
