- 0:02Speaker 1: Life audio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Today, I don't talk about that. John prepares for his
- 0:08Speaker 2: Super Bowl and adds a middle initial to his books. Meanwhile,
- 0:12Speaker 2: I channel my inner Chris Farley for a church skit
- 0:14Speaker 2: and tell you the tale of the Spaghetti treat hoax,
- 0:18Speaker 2: plus a conversation about love and the Gospel and why
- 0:21Speaker 2: how we present it shows whether or not we really
- 0:23Speaker 2: have it. Today's episode is not sponsored by air Travel.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Soar through the clouds like a bird, but only after
- 0:29Speaker 2: you wait in this line for two hours and we
- 0:30Speaker 2: rummaged through your bags. The first a word from our
- 0:33Speaker 2: actual sponsor.
- 0:41Speaker 1: What's upb out there? I'm John, This is Johnny. Let's
- 0:43Speaker 1: talk about that. Your favorite neighborhood podcast.
- 0:47Speaker 2: We're just we're providing a service if you will. Yeah,
- 0:51Speaker 2: we're good people.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Well, well we're people.
- 0:55Speaker 2: Yeah. This is a big week for you as a
- 0:57Speaker 2: church leader. Easter Week. It is big one. That's when
- 1:01Speaker 2: you get your creastors in here.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Yeah, you people, you probably hurt us. We it's our
- 1:06Speaker 1: big joke around here because in the church world. Yeah,
- 1:08Speaker 1: it's a common saying in the hell.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I'm gonna guess, guys, this is our super Bowl. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15Speaker 2: I think I remember this.
- 1:15Speaker 1: We don't say it, but yeah, we've heard it said
- 1:18Speaker 1: so many times, like this is our super Bowl, and
- 1:20Speaker 1: we're like, yeah, like the resurrection of the Son of
- 1:23Speaker 1: God that redeemed all of creation and humanity, right, and
- 1:28Speaker 1: it is progressively doing so as compared to the largest
- 1:30Speaker 1: football game in America.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I think the idea of it is that if you're
- 1:33Speaker 2: gonna have it, like church has become more of like
- 1:35Speaker 2: a show to people, so like you're gonna say, this
- 1:38Speaker 2: is the big this is the spectacle, this is the
- 1:40Speaker 2: time when we really need to try to retain these people.
- 1:42Speaker 2: So like, okay, so they can give an example, so
- 1:45Speaker 2: the super Bowl. Even casual fans watch the super Bowl. Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 2: so my wife will watch the super Bowl. Yeah, could
- 1:52Speaker 2: not care less about NFL football, but she'll watch the
- 1:54Speaker 2: super Bowl. So I think that's that's probably the meaning
- 1:56Speaker 2: behind it is like if we're going to ever get
- 1:58Speaker 2: these casual fans to become real bands of Jesus, we
- 2:01Speaker 2: got to get them on this Sunday.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I know this, I know the meaning.
- 2:04Speaker 2: I just just it is a little offensive. Well said
- 2:09Speaker 2: that about the super Bowl. Guys, this is our super Bowl.
- 2:11Speaker 1: No, this is our Easter.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Yeah, Easter.
- 2:14Speaker 1: I want to if they ever have me come speak
- 2:16Speaker 1: to a team for the Super Bowls. Like, guys, I
- 2:18Speaker 1: just want you to know this is our No. I
- 2:21Speaker 1: mean it's one of those like I know what they're doing.
- 2:24Speaker 1: I have this and you know this. I have this
- 2:29Speaker 1: complicated relationship with the idea of church growth. Did I
- 2:33Speaker 1: ever send you the thing that it gave me on
- 2:35Speaker 1: LinkedIn that day? I don't know, you know, because it
- 2:38Speaker 1: has all your skills you put in and everything when
- 2:40Speaker 1: I've built the profile and years ago.
- 2:41Speaker 2: It sent me a thing because I'm as an.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Executive pastor and collaborative writer and all these different things
- 2:45Speaker 1: on there. And it said, and people can give you skills.
- 2:49Speaker 1: People can like they can justify or they can quote.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I think John's a good speaker or whatever.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Oh I see, yeah, they're giving you like recommendations.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I haven't I haven't screenshot it. Yeah, because it said,
- 2:59Speaker 1: John Driver, you are missing one critical skill church growth. Yeah,
- 3:03Speaker 1: And I was like, boy, am I ever how did
- 3:07Speaker 1: you know? But like just that idea?
- 3:09Speaker 2: Who else was Corinth? No, I don't know, I don't know,
- 3:12Speaker 2: don't I never went to the church at Corinth. But yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 2: well it's Sunday School numbers were atrocious.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I just don't want to like I want to. I
- 3:20Speaker 1: want to grow, yeah, but I really want to be
- 3:24Speaker 1: authentic in the Gospel more than I want to grow now.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I really really do. And that's it's easy to say
- 3:29Speaker 1: for a guy, is that we don't grow much anymore.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I can say that, but we grow and then it
- 3:33Speaker 1: changes and people move away, or things happen, or they
- 3:35Speaker 1: get mad and they don't like her. Whatever that happens,
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's just church.
- 3:38Speaker 2: With I got mad and didn't like you.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I don't want to deal. I don't want to worry
- 3:41Speaker 1: about that anymore. It's what it is, you know. And
- 3:44Speaker 1: all right, I want to worry about Johnny Salvage. That's
- 3:47Speaker 1: the real.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Probab that said come visit this Easter. And John's like, yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 2: I give up.
- 3:51Speaker 1: I don't even care, No, I di I care. I
- 3:54Speaker 1: just that's that's what's crazy. It's like I talked to
- 3:57Speaker 1: the I talked to the staff a lot about the
- 3:59Speaker 1: the parish model throughout history. Be in your community, Be
- 4:04Speaker 1: a place where the poor are fed, where the Gospel
- 4:09Speaker 1: is preached. Where there when your kids are born, we help.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Whenever it's time to re commit someone's body to the ground.
- 4:19Speaker 1: We're there when you're in trouble, and we helped create
- 4:22Speaker 1: community and we all kind of live in that community
- 4:25Speaker 1: together now, don't. I don't know if some you know,
- 4:30Speaker 1: middle aged, I mean, I'm like in the dark ages
- 4:34Speaker 1: or whatever, if they had a perish somewhere in the
- 4:35Speaker 1: middle of England, if they were really that worried about
- 4:37Speaker 1: their parish being bigger than the villages perish one town
- 4:42Speaker 1: over or not.
- 4:43Speaker 2: It's hard to imagine because I mean, yeah, the church
- 4:46Speaker 2: culture has changed so much, but yeah, was there that
- 4:49Speaker 2: exceptionalism where you're like, we have to be doing this
- 4:51Speaker 2: better than the next person. It seems like with human
- 4:53Speaker 2: nature it would have happened.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Did Paul ever write about that the other churches like
- 4:58Speaker 2: stop competing with each other?
- 4:59Speaker 1: Not well, I mean, yes, dissensions and jealousies and factions.
- 5:03Speaker 1: He talked. It was more theological dissensions than it was
- 5:07Speaker 1: based upon the quantifiable outcome.
- 5:11Speaker 2: It wasn't like him calling out emphasis but like, yeah,
- 5:13Speaker 2: you're growing, but you're not doing it the right way.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Like you're growing. But yeah, dude, this is all he
- 5:19Speaker 2: was always That's the thing.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Was only one church in those towns, right, and then
- 5:26Speaker 1: the home church is as much a model as anything.
- 5:29Speaker 2: You know.
- 5:29Speaker 1: That's something by the way that Francis Chan, I mean,
- 5:31Speaker 1: you know, he was a megachurch guy. I love Francis Chan,
- 5:34Speaker 1: and he wrote a book called Crazy Love that was
- 5:38Speaker 1: like a huge bestseller. He went on that megachurch pastor
- 5:44Speaker 1: journey a little bit, and he's in California. And of
- 5:48Speaker 1: course I've written for a lot of megachurch pastors and
- 5:50Speaker 1: so've I've been around that world a lot, and.
- 5:54Speaker 2: He really he just he walked away.
- 5:56Speaker 1: If only guy wanted to be done with that and
- 5:59Speaker 1: went to a homeh church model, yeah, and decided, I mean,
- 6:02Speaker 1: if you really talk to him or listen to what
- 6:05Speaker 1: he says, there's just he I don't know. And I
- 6:08Speaker 1: know megachurch pastors at the time that were like on
- 6:10Speaker 1: the one guy that I knew real well, and he's like,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I think Francis just didn't get it. We can we
- 6:15Speaker 1: can have this feel with this good community within Mega
- 6:18Speaker 1: and I believe that everybody's called the different things.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's okay. I would never just throw everybody
- 6:23Speaker 2: in the same pot. That's just because they're a large
- 6:25Speaker 2: church that they're doing corporate Christianity and it's it's not
- 6:28Speaker 2: the same, or it's they don't care about the people.
- 6:31Speaker 1: They're better at the growth side of church than I am.
- 6:33Speaker 1: And I'm okay with that. We have different games.
- 6:34Speaker 2: I've been in some big churches that really do care
- 6:36Speaker 2: about the people, and I've seen I mean, I've been
- 6:38Speaker 2: in megachurches where I was in meetings before I was
- 6:41Speaker 2: doing a big event for them, and they were like
- 6:43Speaker 2: weeping about like baptisms that it just happened. They were
- 6:46Speaker 2: like so dialed in. But I've also seen the corporate
- 6:49Speaker 2: side of it that's gross, and I wish that I'd
- 6:52Speaker 2: seen some things I wish I hadn't seen too well.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Again, the church. I had a lot of friends down
- 6:56Speaker 1: in Dallas at Watermark Church. I mean that church is
- 6:59Speaker 1: more committed tommunity and transformation in the community and serving
- 7:03Speaker 1: the poor. I mean then, I mean, and they're huge
- 7:06Speaker 1: and they're twenty thousand people, but they had, you know,
- 7:09Speaker 1: they they had the right emphasis and the right things.
- 7:12Speaker 1: It taught us a lot.
- 7:13Speaker 2: So yeah, I don't know, It's just one of those things.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Johnny. It's kind of like I could, I can, I
- 7:18Speaker 1: can stop writing because I worry about honey, I sell, Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 1: or I can try to write the best that I
- 7:23Speaker 1: can and know that that I get to I get
- 7:25Speaker 1: to do that.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And that's what I feel about pastors. Better to write
- 7:28Speaker 2: for yourself and have no public than to write for
- 7:32Speaker 2: the public and have no sense of yourself. Wow, like that?
- 7:35Speaker 1: Who was that?
- 7:35Speaker 2: I can't remember that. It might be caurek a guard Okay,
- 7:37Speaker 2: one of those.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Uh, And that might not be necessarily be a ministry
- 7:41Speaker 2: model because you're supposed to be writing for other people.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Technically you're writing with them in mind. Yeah, but you're
- 7:45Speaker 2: writing in other words. Don't change who you are just
- 7:48Speaker 2: to get a public, right, don't You got stuff on
- 7:50Speaker 2: your screen that's not you had the what was that?
- 7:52Speaker 2: But I hope it wasn't secret top secret things John's
- 7:54Speaker 2: got zooming in on the video. John had the screen,
- 7:59Speaker 2: our our logos screen on our video.
- 8:01Speaker 1: And that's always funny because people always let people when
- 8:03Speaker 1: we first started songwriting, you need to get this on letterhead.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Someone will steal your song. And I was like, even
- 8:10Speaker 1: back then, I think I knew no one's gonna steal this.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not that good one. Come on, if I
- 8:16Speaker 2: think it's good.
- 8:16Speaker 1: But two, wouldn't it be the best thing that ever
- 8:18Speaker 1: happened to us if we had something worth stealing.
- 8:20Speaker 2: I saw this tweet about Easter Week at a church
- 8:25Speaker 2: and they were like, it was funny to me, and
- 8:26Speaker 2: I wanted to say, this is why I brought it
- 8:28Speaker 2: up to you today. They said, this is where you
- 8:31Speaker 2: find out if you're on the A team or the
- 8:33Speaker 2: B team worship wise, because if you know, if you
- 8:37Speaker 2: don't get the invite to do Easter, you're like, boy,
- 8:39Speaker 2: but you guys have a pretty slim You guys have
- 8:41Speaker 2: like a nice skeleton career anyway, So it's like all
- 8:44Speaker 2: hands on deck, right.
- 8:45Speaker 1: No, we have we have three bass players.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah, we do have one drummer. If you're the third choice, buddy,
- 8:52Speaker 2: you need to step it up. Well we have.
- 8:53Speaker 1: We can now bring our other drummer back up from
- 8:55Speaker 1: children's because we have. We chatted to the staff and so.
- 8:58Speaker 2: A children's drummer. He's a little boy.
- 9:00Speaker 1: He's just he's at.
- 9:05Speaker 2: He does. He has no gift to bring. Literally, he's
- 9:09Speaker 2: that bad. He has no gift, no gift at all.
- 9:13Speaker 2: He has no gift for drumming. Honestly, I don't.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Know are you gonna be here?
- 9:17Speaker 2: No, I just this is like a tiny break in
- 9:21Speaker 2: our schedule, and so we're going to take a little trip,
- 9:23Speaker 2: take a little trip. Hey.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Do you know who didn't take a little trip out
- 9:27Speaker 1: of town when they were tired around Eastern Jeez? His
- 9:31Speaker 1: name was Jesus, and.
- 9:34Speaker 2: You know the little trip he took. He went to
- 9:35Speaker 2: Hell and fought the devil and got the keys to death,
- 9:37Speaker 2: Hell and the grave.
- 9:38Speaker 1: So why what are you doing? You're trying to just
- 9:43Speaker 1: go out of town.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I'm excited for you. I think you need
- 9:48Speaker 2: the break.
- 9:49Speaker 1: No jealousy and me at all.
- 9:51Speaker 2: You know what we I think the show needs a
- 9:53Speaker 2: break right now. So let's take a break and here
- 9:56Speaker 2: from a few of our fine sponsors, and we're back.
- 10:12Speaker 1: I know I am excited for you.
- 10:14Speaker 2: And I know you're not, but it's okay. I mean
- 10:16Speaker 2: I don't need your excitement you. Let me say this though,
- 10:19Speaker 2: as we record this tonight, you're gonna get to meet
- 10:22Speaker 2: Stephen Coast Chapman because of me.
- 10:23Speaker 1: No, probably, I'm aware. And you paid for lunch today too.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I did pay for lunch today.
- 10:27Speaker 1: That was not intentional.
- 10:28Speaker 2: I was trying to pay for I'm very magnanimous as
- 10:31Speaker 2: a person. I just I love people.
- 10:34Speaker 1: I just want to do good.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I don't even want credit. No, you would even mention it.
- 10:38Speaker 2: You would even I would never even say it into
- 10:41Speaker 2: a microphone.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Right for millions of listeners to hear, millions and millions
- 10:44Speaker 1: all the good things.
- 10:45Speaker 2: That you know. But yeah, you're gonna get to meet
- 10:47Speaker 2: the SCC tonight.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I think I met him once in passing.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not the same.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I wrote for a guy and he passed away last
- 10:55Speaker 1: year named Mike Hamilton, who was the former athletic director
- 10:59Speaker 1: right the University of Tennessee, and actually was one of
- 11:02Speaker 1: those weird things where I just approached him at an
- 11:03Speaker 1: event and it was like, because I really wanted to write,
- 11:05Speaker 1: you know, Tennessee stuff. And we became friends and we'd
- 11:08Speaker 1: hang out and the book never took off that we
- 11:11Speaker 1: were trying to write. Pitched it and did different things,
- 11:14Speaker 1: but became a pretty good friends. But he became the
- 11:16Speaker 1: executive director of Show Hope Agency for the Chapmans, and
- 11:23Speaker 1: I think I had some meetings over there and saw
- 11:26Speaker 1: maybe shook his hand or something walking past kind of thing,
- 11:29Speaker 1: you know, So I put it.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Do you remember when I was a youth leader. We
- 11:33Speaker 2: were both youth leaders for our buddy Brian, who was
- 11:35Speaker 2: the youth pastor of Tennessee, and I would I wasn't
- 11:38Speaker 2: doing comedy yet at all, but every now and again
- 11:41Speaker 2: I would get a while here to do like a
- 11:42Speaker 2: skit before church. And one time I found this really
- 11:46Speaker 2: obnoxious looking suit at Goodwill and and I was heavy then,
- 11:52Speaker 2: I was probably two eighty, and I was like, I'm
- 11:54Speaker 2: going to do Matt Foley. And so I did like
- 11:56Speaker 2: a Matt Foley. Do you remember this Chris Farley, Matt
- 11:58Speaker 2: fall I. I did Matt Foley before or like a
- 12:00Speaker 2: youth He had some Brian wrote some spiritual tie into it.
- 12:03Speaker 2: He just wanted to see me do Matt Foley. And
- 12:06Speaker 2: I came out and I said something. I was doing
- 12:08Speaker 2: the whole like VANDWM by the river thing. And then
- 12:11Speaker 2: the thing I remember is I go, uh. I walk
- 12:13Speaker 2: over to you, and I go, what do you want
- 12:14Speaker 2: to be when you grow up? Young man? You're probably
- 12:15Speaker 2: twenty two or whatever, and you go, actually, I want
- 12:18Speaker 2: to be a Christian musician. And I go, well, why
- 12:22Speaker 2: do you freaking not? I walk over to Brian and
- 12:25Speaker 2: I go I can't see you real good days. That
- 12:27Speaker 2: Steve Chapman over there, and I had my glasses. Is
- 12:30Speaker 2: that Steve Chapman over there? Actually we've encouraged John's songwriting.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I wish you would just shut your big Yeah. Anyway,
- 12:39Speaker 2: it was a total ripoff of this sketch. But I
- 12:40Speaker 2: just remember saying, Steve Chapman. May it made me last
- 12:43Speaker 2: because he said Bill Shank said Bill Shakes. Is that
- 12:44Speaker 2: Bill Shakespeare over there? Oh? Yes, anyway, you get to
- 12:47Speaker 2: meet Steve Chapman and I I want you to call
- 12:49Speaker 2: him Steve Chapman.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Well, there is a Steve Chapman who's.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Oh Steve and Chapman. That's that's probably why he was
- 12:54Speaker 2: Stephen Curtis. Probably I need to ask him that question,
- 12:56Speaker 2: because that's true.
- 12:57Speaker 1: There's like a it's like a Jesus open up blood feud.
- 13:03Speaker 2: That's why I had to be Curtish.
- 13:05Speaker 1: He must be stopped.
- 13:06Speaker 2: It's like Michael J. Fox. He's Michael J. Fox. Because
- 13:08Speaker 2: when you go down to like register your name with
- 13:10Speaker 2: SAG to become an actor, you get your book, your
- 13:13Speaker 2: first role, they go like okay, and they look your
- 13:16Speaker 2: name up in the database. Even back in the day
- 13:18Speaker 2: pre computers. They would go, we already got a Michael
- 13:20Speaker 2: Fox and you go what yeah, and they go, what's
- 13:24Speaker 2: your middle initial on you?
- 13:25Speaker 1: Jay?
- 13:26Speaker 2: You're Michael J. Fox now, And so that's what happened
- 13:29Speaker 2: to Michael Keaton. Michael Keaton was Michael Douglas, but there
- 13:32Speaker 2: already was at Michael Douglas.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Wow.
- 13:35Speaker 2: So he just couldn't be Michael Douglas. And one of
- 13:36Speaker 2: his favorite actresses was Diane Keaton. So he goes, I'll
- 13:39Speaker 2: be Michael Keaton.
- 13:40Speaker 1: I don't know that. Yeah, Well did you know that
- 13:43Speaker 1: Ulysses S. Grant his middle initials not really as.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Ris Stephen Curtis Grantman.
- 13:50Speaker 1: When he went to his dad had made him go military, sure,
- 13:54Speaker 1: to the academy Military Academy. He didn't want to. When
- 13:56Speaker 1: he went to West Point right and they were like
- 13:59Speaker 1: they just put s in there and he.
- 14:03Speaker 2: No, he was like, that's not really because it's a
- 14:04Speaker 2: lot too much.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Well, but it's he became then U. S.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Grant U. S.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Grant, which is a big part of like the.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Name, like it sounds very American, the most American.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that they used it like that for all
- 14:17Speaker 1: their propaganda.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Call yourself dollar Bill, you know what I'm saying, like
- 14:20Speaker 2: you're gonna win the election.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Here's my uncle uncle Sam.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's wild.
- 14:25Speaker 1: And also you know where I had to see you
- 14:28Speaker 1: in my name now for a lot of times because
- 14:30Speaker 1: of the other John Driver John C. Driver, because they
- 14:33Speaker 1: so some of my things will have John C. Driver
- 14:35Speaker 1: now and some will have Johndre.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I think you seem like a Keaton to me, John,
- 14:39Speaker 2: John C. John. That guy knows how to theologize.
- 14:43Speaker 1: I do have a pseudonym idea. You know how to
- 14:48Speaker 1: make your pseudonym, right, you take your middle name.
- 14:51Speaker 2: In the street.
- 14:51Speaker 1: You grew up in your mom's maiden name. Okay, so
- 14:55Speaker 1: what would be your pseudonym if your middle.
- 14:56Speaker 2: Name My middle name is Terry and my its main
- 15:00Speaker 2: name was Rhymer, So be Terry Rhymer.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Yeah, no one would ever know.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Yeah, you can write whatever you want. That's how I
- 15:05Speaker 2: check into hotels now, Terry Terry Rymer is it? No?
- 15:09Speaker 1: Okay, I just use my name because nobody cares. Listen,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I'm not gonna reveal my pseudonym. Oh well, because I
- 15:15Speaker 1: really may. I have some ideas to write some things
- 15:17Speaker 1: that maybe I maybe I don't want.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Is that a norm? Plume, a pen name plume.
- 15:22Speaker 1: Maybe I don't want recognition, or maybe I don't want.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I don't I think if you didn't need attention, we
- 15:27Speaker 2: would not be doing this show. You've got to You've
- 15:29Speaker 2: got a real problem. But it's okay, John.
- 15:31Speaker 1: And on that note, listen to my segment we call it.
- 15:35Speaker 1: They talked about that. I gotta say my voice. I'm
- 15:51Speaker 1: leaning worship or easter.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Boddy, you're on the A team.
- 15:54Speaker 1: This is like the halftime show. Okay, oswaldt Chambers.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Said, wasn't he? The hold on Oswald Chambers was the
- 16:04Speaker 2: my utmost for you'd get that book when you graduated
- 16:08Speaker 2: a lot. That was a big graduation in the nineties.
- 16:11Speaker 2: My utmost for his highest Yeah. Yeah, big devotional guy.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Yeah, he said, we have shown our ignorance of him,
- 16:19Speaker 1: this Jesus. We have shown our ignorance of him in
- 16:21Speaker 1: the very way we determined to serve him. We serve
- 16:25Speaker 1: Jesus in a spirit that is not his. We hurt
- 16:28Speaker 1: him by our advocacy for him. We push his claims
- 16:32Speaker 1: in the spirit of the devil. Our words sound all right,
- 16:37Speaker 1: but our spirit is that of an enemy.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Man.
- 16:41Speaker 1: This really struck me. It seems so kind of prescient,
- 16:43Speaker 1: and I think, you know, it's good to remember when
- 16:46Speaker 1: we feel panicked in the modern whatever our modern thing
- 16:49Speaker 1: is that the spirit of the enemy, and you know,
- 16:54Speaker 1: the the temptation to try to use the name of
- 16:58Speaker 1: Jesus to gain things we shouldn't gain.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Right as like a club, it's always been there, using
- 17:03Speaker 2: the Gospel as a club for people, right a club
- 17:05Speaker 2: to club somebody with not a club, like join a club.
- 17:08Speaker 2: But like we're battering people with the gospel sometimes, I
- 17:11Speaker 2: think that's what he means, Like your tone is important,
- 17:13Speaker 2: this idea that like, well it's the truth, it hurts,
- 17:16Speaker 2: it's working.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Come on, man, Yeah, if there is no love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, face, inness,
- 17:22Speaker 1: or self control in your version of the gospel that
- 17:25Speaker 1: you're that you're speaking audibly, that it cannot be the gospel.
- 17:29Speaker 1: It cannot be even if you I'm not saying there
- 17:31Speaker 1: not a time to call something right or wrong. But
- 17:34Speaker 1: if you look at how Jesus did that with people,
- 17:38Speaker 1: he always did it with love and joy and peace
- 17:40Speaker 1: and patience and kindness and goodness, even if he was rebuking.
- 17:42Speaker 1: But the understand when he was rebuking it were. It
- 17:45Speaker 1: was the people doing this.
- 17:46Speaker 2: It was usually the most religious people. Yeah, it was.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It was the people doing this were who were using
- 17:50Speaker 1: the name of his father in a spirit that's not
- 17:53Speaker 1: his father's.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and so like.
- 17:55Speaker 1: But I thought the one to get me that really
- 17:57Speaker 1: got me was we hurt him by her advocacy for him.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And I've said that to the church without using this quote, like,
- 18:03Speaker 1: it would be better for us to stop if we're
- 18:05Speaker 1: going to speak in ways or about things towards people
- 18:09Speaker 1: that don't love people in the way that Jesus loves
- 18:11Speaker 1: them present tense, then it would be better for us
- 18:15Speaker 1: to stop claim.
- 18:17Speaker 2: You were a Christian if you're going to act that
- 18:18Speaker 2: way in public.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Because they think that's how Jesus is, which is how
- 18:21Speaker 1: Jesus set it up. He set it up as us
- 18:23Speaker 1: to be his body. They will know who you are
- 18:27Speaker 1: by your love right, which means they're going to know
- 18:29Speaker 1: who Jesus is because they recognize the love of Jesus
- 18:31Speaker 1: in you, and not just the love of Jesus from
- 18:34Speaker 1: you towards them, but the love of Jesus they see
- 18:36Speaker 1: between you and other believers. More specifically, so, the way
- 18:39Speaker 1: that we handle our conflict, the way that we lash
- 18:43Speaker 1: out or don't lash out, the way that we repent
- 18:45Speaker 1: when we hurt someone, because we still make those mistakes.
- 18:48Speaker 1: But advocating for Jesus in manners that are contrary to
- 18:55Speaker 1: let's not just say the personality, but to the spirit
- 18:57Speaker 1: of Christ. And again the spirit of Christ. That list
- 19:00Speaker 1: I just rattled off, Yeah, like that's not one of
- 19:05Speaker 1: those I think we hear something. It sounds just flowery
- 19:09Speaker 1: to us. And scripture like that is the deepest of
- 19:12Speaker 1: theology possible in terms of orthopraxy, like the way that
- 19:17Speaker 1: you live out the things you believe. What Paul is
- 19:20Speaker 1: saying is is, look, these are specific ways, he says,
- 19:23Speaker 1: and against these there's no law. There's no law against these,
- 19:26Speaker 1: meaning like the law the way of the law is
- 19:30Speaker 1: not it doesn't. Oh you can't you can't find something
- 19:34Speaker 1: legalistic to overcome these things with. You can't say yeah, yeah,
- 19:39Speaker 1: But this topic is the issue of our day. The
- 19:41Speaker 1: issue of our day is always for the believer. Am
- 19:45Speaker 1: I being transformed by Jesus into the manner of looking
- 19:49Speaker 1: more like him? How do what I know that I
- 19:51Speaker 1: look like him? Because I will bear the same fruit
- 19:53Speaker 1: he bears by the same spirit that is within him,
- 19:56Speaker 1: that's within me, and that fruit will look like love, joy, peace, patience,
- 20:01Speaker 1: and so like the time spent meditating on those things
- 20:06Speaker 1: or evaluating our lives, Like if you really evaluated your life, Johnny,
- 20:10Speaker 1: as a believer, what do we look at? We look
- 20:13Speaker 1: at church attendants and prayer, and we look at giving
- 20:15Speaker 1: and all those things, and those are great. But basically
- 20:19Speaker 1: even first John talks about this, but if you do
- 20:24Speaker 1: all those things and you still hate a brother or sister,
- 20:29Speaker 1: you still hate another human who you have seen, then
- 20:33Speaker 1: there's a lie happening within you to say that you
- 20:35Speaker 1: love a God that you have not seen. Those two
- 20:38Speaker 1: things cannot go because the love of God cannot have
- 20:43Speaker 1: a terminal point in your life. And it's not the
- 20:46Speaker 1: love of God you're experiencing. That the love of God,
- 20:49Speaker 1: by its transformational nature, must go through you to others.
- 20:53Speaker 1: It is the way, not only he intends it, it's
- 20:55Speaker 1: the way he commands it. That that is the number
- 20:57Speaker 1: one command. And I think there's a dis ordering of
- 21:00Speaker 1: our commandments where we go, Oh, I can skip as
- 21:03Speaker 1: long as okay, I'm doing these other things. It's like no, no, no,
- 21:05Speaker 1: He's saying doesn't matter if you have those other things.
- 21:07Speaker 1: It's just it's just a loud clanging gong. Now it's
- 21:10Speaker 1: just a symbol. It's just making noise. It's not doing
- 21:13Speaker 1: his things. So anyway, Johnny, I thought the way you
- 21:16Speaker 1: treat people now, someone should say something, and I thought
- 21:18Speaker 1: Oswald really came.
- 21:20Speaker 2: He did, he nailed it. And what's funny is I
- 21:22Speaker 2: play the loud clanging gong for the worship team and
- 21:25Speaker 2: I did not get an invite to Easter too. I
- 21:28Speaker 2: didn't get the planning center. Well, well, planning center is
- 21:33Speaker 2: kind of inside baseball for people who don't on a
- 21:35Speaker 2: church staff. That's the email system that churches used to
- 21:38Speaker 2: plan their services. It's your app.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it tells youation.
- 21:41Speaker 2: You get to check the box yes or no. Are
- 21:43Speaker 2: you willing to play guitar this Sunday? Can we can
- 21:45Speaker 2: we mark you down for these next three and you
- 21:47Speaker 2: go yes no, And then they go to triage. Is
- 21:49Speaker 2: to the next person if you say no. So, yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 2: I didn't get the plane. A loud clanging gong turns
- 21:55Speaker 2: out not absolutely necessary.
- 21:56Speaker 1: You know, they should throw some relational stuff into that app,
- 21:59Speaker 1: like swipe right. If you're willing to play.
- 22:01Speaker 2: I think people. Yeah, make it more of a game,
- 22:03Speaker 2: make it feel more Yeah, if they church swipes right
- 22:06Speaker 2: on YouTube, is it left right? Like? I don't know,
- 22:07Speaker 2: I really don't know.
- 22:08Speaker 1: It's been a long time since it has been Yeah dated.
- 22:11Speaker 2: It's been a long time. Thank the Lord for that.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Thank you Curry, Yes, for keeping me off the market.
- 22:17Speaker 2: John thinking Curry, Dan, it's weird.
- 22:18Speaker 1: I could not handle this guy.
- 22:21Speaker 2: You know, you're probably right, John. Let's do my single.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Let's start with old jokes. We call it joke about that. John.
- 22:32Speaker 2: You know what really boils my blood. Faulty spacesuits. It's
- 22:39Speaker 2: a dark one. We're starting. I like it. I like it.
- 22:42Speaker 2: You know, we're gonna we're going to orbit the Moon
- 22:44Speaker 2: for the first time in a while. We're sending man made,
- 22:48Speaker 2: man made, man manned spaceships to the man made, man
- 22:53Speaker 2: man made man spaceships to the Moon, and we're going
- 22:57Speaker 2: to land on the Moon within the year. I think
- 22:59Speaker 2: we're going back to the move for the first time
- 23:00Speaker 2: since the seventies. I think. So. It's an interesting time
- 23:04Speaker 2: and NASA culture at large. But anyway, faulty spacesuits. John.
- 23:08Speaker 2: At the end of his service, the Minister told his congregation.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Next week, I plan to preach about the sin of lying.
- 23:14Speaker 2: To help you understand my sermon, I want you all
- 23:15Speaker 2: to read Mark seventeen. The following Sunday, as he prepares
- 23:17Speaker 2: to deliver his sermon, the minister asked for a show
- 23:19Speaker 2: of hands. He wanted to know how many had read
- 23:20Speaker 2: Mark seventeen. Every hand went up. The mister smiled and said,
- 23:23Speaker 2: seeing as Mark has only sixteen chapters, I will now
- 23:25Speaker 2: proceed with my sermon on the sin of lyne. You
- 23:27Speaker 2: knew it right away. John's like a sword drill you
- 23:30Speaker 2: like you seventeen? Good day? Like I'm using that. I'm
- 23:36Speaker 2: doing that next time, you bunch of liars.
- 23:38Speaker 1: How many of you guys have read in the Book
- 23:39Speaker 1: of a Hezekaya?
- 23:40Speaker 2: Your second opinion? Second opinions? First condominiums. John. A guy
- 23:46Speaker 2: in court. A guy's in court facing murder charges. The
- 23:49Speaker 2: judge says, you're charged with murdering your wife with an axe.
- 23:53Speaker 2: A guy at the back of the court yells you monster.
- 23:56Speaker 2: The judge then says you're also charged with murdering your
- 23:58Speaker 2: mother in law with an axe. The guy at the
- 23:59Speaker 2: back of the court again yells you monster. The judge
- 24:02Speaker 2: addresses that got the back and says, sir, I realized
- 24:05Speaker 2: the charges are upsetting, but please refrain yourself. The man replies,
- 24:08Speaker 2: you don't understand, judge. I lived next door to this
- 24:11Speaker 2: man for ten years, and every time I asked to
- 24:12Speaker 2: borrow an axe, he said he didn't have one. These
- 24:17Speaker 2: are some dark jokes today, It's okay, except for the
- 24:20Speaker 2: lying when that was just kind of tame. John upon
- 24:25Speaker 2: seeing his new store. On seeing upon opening his new store,
- 24:29Speaker 2: sorry and reading these. Upon opening his new store, a
- 24:31Speaker 2: man received a bouquet of flowers. He became very dismayed
- 24:34Speaker 2: after reading the enclosed card, though our deepest sympathies. Suddenly
- 24:39Speaker 2: his phone running. Surprisingly, it was the florist calling to
- 24:42Speaker 2: apologize for having sent the wrong card with the flowers.
- 24:44Speaker 2: Oh it's all right, said the shopkeeper. I'm a businessman
- 24:46Speaker 2: and I understand how these things can happen. But asked
- 24:49Speaker 2: the floorst I think I accidentally sent your card to
- 24:51Speaker 2: a funeral party. I'm sure it's no big deal. What
- 24:54Speaker 2: did What did it say? Asked the storekeeper. Congratulations on
- 24:57Speaker 2: your new location, which is kind of app honestly sounds
- 25:04Speaker 2: a new location. Yeah, or I'll headed to a new
- 25:08Speaker 2: location upon death. That'll preach on it, John, boy, this
- 25:12Speaker 2: will this is a easter. John. Let's do my final
- 25:16Speaker 2: segment this week in history, we call it talk about
- 25:18Speaker 2: Then John. This week I had a couple of April
- 25:26Speaker 2: Fools moments because this is April Fools Day as we
- 25:28Speaker 2: record this. Are you a big April Fools prankster? No,
- 25:31Speaker 2: you don't do it. Never posted a faulty. No, Laura
- 25:35Speaker 2: and I are pregnant again. I've never done the thing,
- 25:37Speaker 2: and goes, oh, holy moly.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I don't have time.
- 25:40Speaker 2: I just don't.
- 25:40Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 25:41Speaker 2: It's just you're never you do You never practical joke
- 25:43Speaker 2: to anybody except like maybe high school.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Well, I mean you and I are kind of the
- 25:46Speaker 1: same in this. You're always I'm always worried that the
- 25:48Speaker 1: person that practical joke will be more serious than I am.
- 25:50Speaker 2: In the turn, they'll jump a level, go psycho on you. Yeah,
- 25:53Speaker 2: you don't. You never know.
- 25:54Speaker 1: You used to have a joke with that.
- 25:55Speaker 2: What was you would say? You start off simple, like
- 25:57Speaker 2: I put cheese was on your door handle, I shut
- 25:59Speaker 2: shaven on your mirror. You're like I toilet paper as
- 26:01Speaker 2: your law. They're like I poisoned your ferret. Yeah, I
- 26:06Speaker 2: don't have a ferret. John. This week nineteen ninety six today,
- 26:10Speaker 2: nineteen ninety six, April first, As part of an April
- 26:12Speaker 2: Fools Day joke, Taco Bell takes out ads in seven
- 26:15Speaker 2: leading newspapers announcing they had purchased the Liberty Bell to
- 26:19Speaker 2: quote reduced the country's debt and had renamed it the
- 26:22Speaker 2: Taco Liberty Bell. In response to public concerns, White House
- 26:26Speaker 2: Press Secretary Mike McCurry stated that the federal government was
- 26:29Speaker 2: also quote selling the Lincoln Memorial to Ford Motor Company
- 26:32Speaker 2: and renaming it the Lincoln Mercury Memorial. The prank was
- 26:36Speaker 2: successful in that it only cost the US three hundred
- 26:39Speaker 2: thousand dollars, but generated a sales increase exceeding one million
- 26:42Speaker 2: dollars for the first two days in April, along with
- 26:46Speaker 2: a large amount of free publicity. It's seeing the US
- 26:48Speaker 2: wow cost the US that I'm think. I'm thinking that
- 26:50Speaker 2: means Taco Bell was successful in doing it. Okay, so
- 26:53Speaker 2: I'll say, what what the US spending money too? Yeah,
- 26:56Speaker 2: that's weird. I think this means because this is a
- 26:58Speaker 2: RUSS I get these out the internet, off the web,
- 27:01Speaker 2: and so I'm sure. This means that Taco Bell spent
- 27:03Speaker 2: three hundred grand but made a million dollars in sales.
- 27:06Speaker 2: What do we think that I remember the Taco Liberty Bell.
- 27:08Speaker 2: I remember it being a thing in the newspaper ninety six,
- 27:11Speaker 2: the Taco Liberty Bell. Yeah, and people are like, come
- 27:14Speaker 2: on real, walk them on.
- 27:18Speaker 1: You know, they stopped making Mexi melks. That's the best
- 27:20Speaker 1: thing that happened, you know what. I love the chilito,
- 27:23Speaker 1: the chili cheese burrito.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Yeah. Gosh, man, you could. You needed to be near
- 27:27Speaker 2: a bathroom, but man, that was good. The Mexi melt
- 27:30Speaker 2: I'm with you, Mexi mount was whyse never come back?
- 27:32Speaker 2: They do all these like eighty cents.
- 27:34Speaker 1: We're bringing them back, your favorites over the decades, and
- 27:36Speaker 1: then never bring back Mexi melts.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Guys do better.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Yeah, and if you're listening, algorithm, yeah, someone tell Taco Bell.
- 27:43Speaker 2: So we the other night, Curry goes, I go, where
- 27:45Speaker 2: do you want to go to dinner? And she goes,
- 27:46Speaker 2: I just kind of want something, and she goes, I'm
- 27:48Speaker 2: afraid to say it. I go what she goes, I
- 27:50Speaker 2: want Taco Bell. We went to Taco Bell and sat down. Hey,
- 27:53Speaker 2: we ate in a taco bell.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Listen, it's really good. I hate it is really good.
- 27:56Speaker 2: It's a little more expensive than it ever has been,
- 27:58Speaker 2: so you can't just eat like five pounds of food
- 28:00Speaker 2: for twelve dollars. It was like it wasn't It was
- 28:04Speaker 2: more expensive, but not as expensive as like a sit
- 28:06Speaker 2: down place would have been a real sit down.
- 28:08Speaker 1: Do you get a Mexican pizza?
- 28:09Speaker 2: No?
- 28:09Speaker 1: Do you get a nachos belgrande?
- 28:11Speaker 2: I got a ksadach in case of dia and a
- 28:16Speaker 2: hard shell taco. Wow, I'm not I don't. I don't
- 28:19Speaker 2: like the fancies fan I didn't have. I didn't have
- 28:20Speaker 2: a crunch wrap chance to go and do something special.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I know I do like a Mexican pizza every now
- 28:25Speaker 2: and again. And those went away for a while too,
- 28:26Speaker 2: and they brought him back popular demand. Maybe if we
- 28:29Speaker 2: if we get a petition together, Mexi mount Guy's Mexi.
- 28:32Speaker 1: You never had one. You don't know. It's unbelievable.
- 28:34Speaker 2: It was very good. It was very good. John This Week,
- 28:37Speaker 2: nineteen seventy six. Apple Computer is founded by Steve Jobs,
- 28:41Speaker 2: Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne. You don't hear about Ronald
- 28:44Speaker 2: Wayne a lot. I wonder what happened with them. I'm
- 28:46Speaker 2: sure an Apple, an Apple nerd is going to like
- 28:48Speaker 2: try to email the show and tell us what happened,
- 28:50Speaker 2: because you're about Waz and you hear he was kind
- 28:52Speaker 2: of the brains and Steve Jobs was like he had
- 28:55Speaker 2: the public facing persona and the drive right, you know,
- 28:59Speaker 2: and but who's wrong Wayne? What happened to him? Their
- 29:01Speaker 2: first product? This is why it makes the list. Their
- 29:03Speaker 2: first product was named the Apple one Personal Computer Kid,
- 29:06Speaker 2: and it's sold for a price of six hundred and
- 29:09Speaker 2: sixty six dollars and sixty six cents. Now, listen, John, Wow,
- 29:12Speaker 2: you already live in a world at this time in
- 29:13Speaker 2: nineteen seventy six where people are like, yeah, the mark
- 29:16Speaker 2: of the Beast. It was the kind of the seeds
- 29:18Speaker 2: of the Satanic panic were starting. Yeah, and you're gonna
- 29:22Speaker 2: sell a computer which people think is going to usher
- 29:24Speaker 2: in the Antichrist. Probably, let's sell it for six hundred
- 29:27Speaker 2: and sixty six dollars and sixty six cents. What are
- 29:29Speaker 2: you crazy?
- 29:30Speaker 1: I technically you're adding two more sixes, but.
- 29:33Speaker 2: That makes it all the worse.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I don't know, Maybe I think it I don't know
- 29:37Speaker 1: it's anyway.
- 29:39Speaker 2: They'll never be they'll never go anywhere. No, obviously that
- 29:41Speaker 2: Apple computer from the beginning, that's not great. John This Week,
- 29:46Speaker 2: nineteen fifty seven. The spaghetti tree hoax occurred nineteen fifty seven.
- 29:51Speaker 2: The BBC aired as an April Fool's quote news story
- 29:55Speaker 2: about the spaghetti harvest in Switzerland. It purported to show
- 29:59Speaker 2: spaghetti being harvested from trees and laid out to dry as,
- 30:03Speaker 2: and claimed that spaghetti trees had been specially bred in
- 30:08Speaker 2: Switzerland to produce such uniform length spaghetti strands. After the broadcast,
- 30:13Speaker 2: hundreds of people called in to find out how they
- 30:15Speaker 2: too could obtain their own spaghetti trees. To make it
- 30:19Speaker 2: sound more authoritative, the voiceover was done by respected broadcaster
- 30:23Speaker 2: Richard Dimpledby Dimplebee, the idea was the brainchild of panoramic
- 30:29Speaker 2: cameramen Charles D. Yeager, who came up with the idea
- 30:32Speaker 2: for the hoax after remembering how teachers at his school
- 30:34Speaker 2: teased classmates for being so stupid that if they were
- 30:37Speaker 2: told spaghetti grow on trees, they would believe it. No,
- 30:39Speaker 2: listen these teachers, Yeah, it's really that's not very Just
- 30:43Speaker 2: do a better job. Let me tell you why you're stupid.
- 30:45Speaker 2: You're so stupid, young person. I'm charged with your education.
- 30:49Speaker 2: But it is interesting to BBC. You know these English
- 30:52Speaker 2: people are you know Britain. They're supposed to be like
- 30:54Speaker 2: the New Americans with you, and they fell for this.
- 30:56Speaker 2: They were calling in the station. How do I get
- 30:58Speaker 2: my very own? Sorry?
- 31:05Speaker 1: I remember my.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Wife telling me that she had a girl in her class.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Once asked if there were cheese trees? So was this
- 31:14Speaker 2: senior year? Yeah? This was It was old. It was
- 31:17Speaker 2: old enough that people turned around and stared, Yeah, where
- 31:21Speaker 2: does cheese come from? Cheese cheese trees? John. Finally, the
- 31:27Speaker 2: first portable cell phone call occurred this week, nineteen seventy three.
- 31:33Speaker 2: The first portable cell phone call is made, and this
- 31:35Speaker 2: is why it makes the list. I love it. General
- 31:37Speaker 2: manager of Motorola's Communications system division called. Do you want
- 31:40Speaker 2: to guess who he called? Because it had to be
- 31:42Speaker 2: somebody else with a portable cell phone? Right? Or maybe
- 31:45Speaker 2: I guess you could call a landline. I guess you'd
- 31:48Speaker 2: call Aline. But who would you call? If you had
- 31:50Speaker 2: disinvented something that you had a feeling was going to
- 31:52Speaker 2: change the world, you'd probably call your mom. You're not
- 31:55Speaker 2: gonna believe this, right, or you call my wife. Call
- 31:57Speaker 2: your wife. They called their arrival at AT and T's
- 32:02Speaker 2: Bell Labs from the streets of New York City.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Wow.
- 32:05Speaker 2: So they basically call, you know, they're like, it's working,
- 32:09Speaker 2: you're going down. They to taunt them.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Wowm that cool, that's cool.
- 32:14Speaker 2: That's some hater aid right there. I don't know, you
- 32:16Speaker 2: don't like that because when you know, Alexander Graham Bell
- 32:19Speaker 2: was like what half god rot, you know, it was
- 32:21Speaker 2: a big like hmm yeah, and you can get your
- 32:25Speaker 2: own for six hundred and sixty six. No. He They
- 32:29Speaker 2: called their rival they called the old which that's kind
- 32:31Speaker 2: of an old that's an old school hater rut there.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Montreolla is onlyer around, right, I don't They probably have
- 32:36Speaker 2: been absorbed and they still exist in some other conglomerate form.
- 32:39Speaker 1: You know, it's like AT and T still is that's true?
- 32:42Speaker 1: Who's the last one standing?
- 32:43Speaker 2: Who had the last still?
- 32:45Speaker 1: Could maybe Motorola maybe they got maybe they turned into
- 32:47Speaker 1: Horizon or something.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Yeah, I think Motorola was absorbed by somebody and then
- 32:51Speaker 2: they were absorbed and absorbed.
- 32:53Speaker 1: And what was the name of Horizon before his Hoverizon.
- 32:54Speaker 1: It was a next till singular?
- 32:57Speaker 2: Oh singular?
- 32:58Speaker 1: Was it?
- 32:59Speaker 2: I don't know. We don't have any information. We'll look
- 33:01Speaker 2: it up and we'll tell you next week. On John,
