I recently celebrated my 65th birthday, and had a new view on the ritual/tradition of blowing out candles. It's an open manifestation channel for any/all to throw in their malicious projections, thinking it'll be masked by all the good energy surrounding it. Um, nope, I see it, just as the universe sees it. It's spiritual trespassing, and won't do.
