- 0:36SPEAKER_00: Apparently, I was so excited about the conversation that I forgot the one thing that a podcaster is supposed to do.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: I'm talking 20 minutes in.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: I looked down and I realized I forgot to hit record.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: So welcome to the podcast.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Welcome back for me, but you guys, this is your first time hearing this episode.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: So let's make a go of it again.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: And sometimes, hey, I guess you got to start over some things, but do I have to throw everything away?
- 1:08SPEAKER_00: No, because I still had the conversation, and maybe it was something that was just meant for myself.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: But here goes, guys.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: What if you're not lost?
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: And this is something I was thinking about my own self because I'm like, oh, I'm so lost.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I'm doing.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I should do.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: I have no idea.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: And then I realized, you know what?
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: I'm not lost.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: I've been thinking about my midlife and really actually I'm going to start paying attention.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: I have been building and working and keeping the things that are good, some still there that are bad, but I'm working on it.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: But one thing I'm not doing is starting from scratch.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: And as far as knowing what I want to do, there are things I know that I want to do that give me joy.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I don't know why I don't acknowledge them as much as I do, but that has all stopped.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: I don't feel like you have to throw away your whole life and start over.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: I feel like I'm finally getting intentional.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: Like I'm living intentionally.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: And I know what I want to build.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I know there's things I need to rebuild that I haven't done.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: And I know there's things that I need to reignite that are underneath me.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: And that feels very different from feeling lost.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I think we assume that if we're questioning our life, something must be wrong.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: But what if there's necessarily nothing wrong?
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I'm so used to worrying about everything that some days I sit there and I go to worry and I'm like, why am I worried about the same things that I can't control?
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: What if I'm just changing and this is just normal?
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: And I believe that's normal.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: We all have to change at some point.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: We do change.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Life changes from day to day, and we don't know what it's gonna bring us.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that can be scary, but that also can be exciting.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: What are the possibilities?
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: There's endless possibil can't speak.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Possibilities.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: What if some things from the past though don't excite you anymore?
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: I have been soul searching on that.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: What if suddenly you find yourself curious about things you never thought about before?
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: That you don't even have to blow up your life.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: Maybe it just means you're starting to pay attention.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Little things can start telling you a lot, and I had started noticing that the little things that make me feel excited again.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Creativity.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Which I never thought I was a very creative person.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: But looking around, I can see I'm very creative.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Coming up with solutions that I never thought I could or ways to adapt shows I do have a creative side, and I'm gonna embrace that side.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Now, I can't paint pictures.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm not gonna say I can't because I don't want to say I can't do anything, but I'm I don't know, I don't paint very well.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: Now, when I was a kid, paint by numbers, I could do that.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: What are the other things I want to do?
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Like I like to make videos, I like to do TikToks, I like to be silly, I like to have you know YouTube videos, just little videos for myself, videos of my puppies, my grandbabies.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: And looking back a year ago, the one thing that I was so scared to do, and you're listening to it right now.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: I started this podcast.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: I was terrified, and then I was like, what am I gonna talk about?
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: I have nothing to share.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: I'm just an imposter, and I did have that imposter syndrome.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: And earlier today I thought, wow, I am like a couple weeks or less from my one-year anniversary of doing podcasting.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: I am a podcaster.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: If you did one podcast, you are a podcaster.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Then I thought, well, what else have I been doing?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Well, I've been researching.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm a researcher, and I was thinking about skills and things that I could do.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: And I'm thinking, well, I didn't go to school for this, I didn't go to school for that.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: But sometimes you have lived experience, you've studied things just because you don't have the degree or the paperwork.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: Now don't come at me.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: But I have thoughts on that.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: You still have experience and a voice.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: And just maybe by sharing your story, you're helping one person or you're making a difference.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: What have I been doing lately?
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I'm trying to think of what I've been doing for joy lately because I've been trying to discover what gets me excited, what brings me more joy, what brings happiness to my life.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: And one of the things that I just noticed is I really want to travel to a bunch of places.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: So I took a couple places that I've been interested to go to in my mind, and I started looking and traveling for a year or a year and a half to come.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: And I started getting excited, just looking at the pictures and the videos and just closing my eyes and imagining.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: And one of them is to be in Colorado and ride the trains at the snow when the snow's out, like just a beautiful snowy train ride.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Sounds simple, right?
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: I've wanted to do that, I think six years.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: What about things that you've wanted to do, and for I don't know what reason we haven't done them?
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Like even in my local town, I've wanted to go to the shark aquarium.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: I love sharks.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: I've lived here 22 years.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Why have I not gone and done it?
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: So that's gonna be on my list.
- 7:27SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm talking about.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Like, just you have to discover yourself.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: You're not lost, you're it's deep down there.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: I guess we ignore it or we don't think we can look.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, another thing.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: I have been, and I've kind of always been like this, playing with my clothing style.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: So recently I have been decluttering my room and my things, and that's all for the future with the future plans.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: And so I have different moods.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Like we all have different moods, we all have different clothing that we like to wear.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: Sometimes when you go out, you want to dress up, you want to bring your A game and you want to just feel a little bit more confident.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: And one thing I tried to do, which I realized, why am I trying to do this?
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: I was trying to get, I know, I know I'm talking to my people out there.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Where are my people that like to be in comfortable clothes?
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: We all got that t-shirt that is almost paper thin because you've worn it for maybe 10, 13 years, and that's so interesting, and we like those clothes.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Why do I want to throw it away?
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: Sometimes, yeah, you gotta do a little clutter, clutter work.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: But the other thing is holy, not necessarily holy, but maybe you got big hoodie sweatshirts.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: You know the ones, you know, the ones that you put on, and you look like you weigh 54.
- 9:01SPEAKER_00: I don't know, 54 is my year of birth, years in life.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: So 54 pounds more.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: So we'll take 54 pounds because it's like three times too big.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: But there are nights when you need that hoodie.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: You reach out for that hoodie and you just get in your bed and you crawl in your bed and you put on that old t-shirt or that hoodie, or maybe the raggedy sweatpants, or those favorite pair of shorts that are so thigh-high that normally you wouldn't even wear those anywhere.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: We all know those clothes.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: I think we're gonna call those our grunge clothes, our comfortable clothes, our life-living clothes.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: And I tried to get rid of those.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: I got rid of some and I was like, oh my god, where are my clothes for when I'm comfortable?
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: All I could find.
- 9:45SPEAKER_00: Excuse me.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: One moment, please.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: All I could find was my shirts, blouses that were tighter.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: They fit me perfect, like they're a size, you know, my regular size, the ones that touch my skin because I did lose some weight, so I did get some clothes that touch my skin.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: And those are not comfortable to sleep in for bedtime.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: We wouldn't want to be sleeping in your jeans or your tight t-shirt that you can't even breathe in.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Pardon me.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: I'm doing live because my I still don't know how to edit, which I know that's a big thing, and I am going to get that.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: If somebody knows a good editor or something, just let me know.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: I would love to hear what you use.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: And then I have what I like to call my Gemma side, you know, the SOA Gemma, the more rocker look, which I feel so confident, and I love that.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: I love to put my choker on, and I know I talked about that, and just some nice jeans with some nice boots, nice tight jeans, and a nice shirt that's tight and a little sparkly, of course.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's times that I want to wear that.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: But if I'm going to the grocery store, do I want to put that on?
- 11:12SPEAKER_00: Well, actually, I've been thinking about that.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I do want to put on that outfit that I normally wouldn't wear.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: So that's gonna be my call to action this week.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: I'm going to wear a dressy outfit just to go grocery shopping.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: Then there are times that you just want to wear, like, I can only laugh because recently I was trying to find girly tops.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: And by girly, I mean they're floral.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Nothing wrong with ladies who love to wear floral shirts.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: I just don't like them.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: I got some bigger ones and they're like a blouse, and I looked in the mirror and I did a video and I tried to be excited, and I was just like, oh my god, this is not me.
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: So I was trying to be a certain way, and then I thought, well, I need to get more professional looking.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: And that goes down to like trying something new because next year I am going to run like a five to eight people workshop.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: Something I've been wanting to do for two years, and now I'm going to do it.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: And I want to have my own style, but I don't want to look like somebody I'm not and feel like I'm very uncomfortable.
- 12:32SPEAKER_00: That's gonna kill the confidence.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: So that was another thing that I started looking at is changing and looking at my style, the actual style that I was working with.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: And like I was saying, I'm starting to try to build confidence and that building confidence after somebody who had a 36-year pattern of being in unhealthy relationships and a 20-year pattern of being in a soul-sucking job where it was I don't even know how to say it was like downgrading, especially as a female in that that area.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: So if you know, you know, I don't like to call the female card out, but in that case, that little situation was kind of like that.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: So I'm working on building my self-esteem and my confidence again.
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna question myself.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: I'm so used to being questioned by like my supervisors and things.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: Sorry, no offense, supervisors, if you're listening.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Some of you were great, some of you could do better.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: And so I had a lot of self-doubt.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: And now I don't have as much self-doubt.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm gonna ask myself a question.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, I gotta look that up on the internet.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, no, I already know the answer.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: Like, I can look for there's a difference from getting the answer and not trusting yourself, and then there's the other side of that of just kind of bouncing it off to get a little more information, or maybe maybe you lack the way to say certain things, and you just need a little bump up, is what we're gonna talk about.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: Even little things can tell you something about where you're headed, like trying things that you've never done before, and that's what I was talking about.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: I'm not I haven't public spoke before.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Well, one time in 2018, I did get on the stage at a motivational speakers event, and I announced that I hated my soul-sucking job and that I was gonna quit.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: That was 2018.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: It took me till 2025 to quit for good, and that's a whole nother story.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: I ended up quitting for good based on what happened to my vision.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: I lost some vision, which I feel like that was supposed to happen because honestly, I was so I want to make money and it was so cool.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: People thought it was cool that I did surveillance, and I hated it.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: I hated every moment.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: There are things I love about surveillance, but the atmosphere was just not for me.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: I'm on the other side.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: I know people say, oh, you just want to help people.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: People don't say help people, but that's where the side is.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Like, I want to be nice, like I'm compassionate.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: Like if I see somebody who's homeless, I don't want to kick them out.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: I get that the business has to do that, but I'm the one that wants to go after my shift and go get them mittens and gloves and coffee.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: I probably could have got fired for that, but I didn't care.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: Like, I it just doesn't align with me.
- 15:58SPEAKER_00: It just doesn't match anymore.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I think that we just overlook these things about ourselves.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Like we know inside what doesn't fit, we were just like, oh, that's not important.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: So instead of asking what is wrong with your life, these are some of the questions that I wrote down that I started asking myself, and some that I wrote down that I haven't answered yet.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: It's like, what am I curious about?
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: And that would go back to the podcast.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: I was so curious about doing this.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: How could I do it?
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Could I do it?
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: What should I do?
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: What do I want more of?
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: Well, I definitely know I need more joy.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: I definitely know since my vision loss, I have become depressed based on the circumstances and have moped, laid in my bed, had many a days where I couldn't get up.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: Just wanted the day to go by for the next day.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: So I want less of that.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: I want to live with compassion.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: I want to live with intention.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: What makes me feel alive?
- 17:30SPEAKER_00: I want to do the things that make me feel alive.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: The podcast, talking to people.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: I feel like I need to share the things that have happened because this cannot be in vain.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: And that goes back to my olden days.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: No pain in vain.
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: Where I wanted to do my pain to help yours, but I didn't do it because I let somebody talk me out of it.
- 17:53SPEAKER_00: What is something that maybe you know that's deep in your heart that you want to do?
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: And you let somebody talk you out of it?
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: Like you shared or you opened up, and they're like, ha, that's funny.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: And you just felt embarrassed, like, oh, how could I even think about that?
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: Is there something you've been putting off?
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: I've been putting off really getting down to writing a business plan or writing exactly what I want get it girl to look like.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: What I want to call my people.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Get it, girls.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: You know, I just I have put off my mission.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: And I call them the 12 pillars that I've been working on.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: I started to write.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Like, what is in what I want to talk about?
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: What I want to share?
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: What are the things that are important?
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, see, I'm getting passionate.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: I can feel it because my I'm like, woo! And I'm getting excited.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: I can feel I'm getting warm inside, like a good kind of warm.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: So I'm on track.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: What excites you when you talk about it?
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Oh gosh, this is the biggest one.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: What would you try if you weren't worried about whether anybody else understood it?
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Why don't we try?
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Okay, I want to challenge you just to do something about that.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna challenge myself.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: Obviously, not right this moment, but I am going to make a note after this.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: What are things that I would try if I wasn't worried about what anybody else understood?
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: And just write down.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: Let's just throw out five to ten things.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: We'll make it not very like strong, like you don't have not high pressure.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: What are some things that only you know inside, or maybe you put back in the back of your mind because you thought, you know what?
- 19:49SPEAKER_00: They're gonna think that's dumb.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: They're gonna question me, or they're gonna think that I'm not good enough, or who am I to who is she to do that?
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: Look at her life.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Yes, look at your life.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Share what you've learned.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: Do those things that you want to try.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Maybe you don't want a regular nine to five job.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: Maybe you don't want to do the surveillance job in your life.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Maybe something else you were driven to do, something exciting.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: I knew it was bad when I would have rather work anywhere else.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: Like I rather shovel cowpoo than be in surveillance again.
- 20:42SPEAKER_00: I can't believe I said that out loud.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: But I said it because that's the truth.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: I don't want to realize that one day I it's too late.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: I'm 54 now, and you know, two years ago I thought, oh, I'm too old.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: And then I thought, wait, I could find my spark again.
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: I still have maybe 30 years to live.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: And I thought it was over.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: We don't know.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Look at these people live until they're 105.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: What's the oldest guy?
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: I was it 115.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: What if you're alive for let's what if I'm alive for 45 more years?
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: I can't even imagine how much I could accomplish or get done or try that.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: I think, oh, I'm already done.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: And that's another thing I'll talk about coming up is like adapting to things that you think, okay, well, like for me, I'm visually impaired now.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: It's not, I don't want to say it's not going to get better because it has gotten better from the beginning of last year or the beginning of this year.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: So it does get better.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: And what's getting better too is I'm learning to adapt and I'm learning to say, okay, if I can't do this, what can I do?
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And that was a huge thing because I would try harder.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: And I think I shared this, and I know I'm going off, but I have ADHD.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: I shared this before.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: I actually tried harder to see.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: It still cracks me up.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Like, how can I try harder to see?
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: The only thing I could do harder or control in that aspect is listening to my doctor and doing what she says and doing research on my own to see if there's anything else, or calling different places, or anything.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: I couldn't change exactly what was happening for that.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: I can't control it, but I can adapt.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: I can get new information.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: So I want to ask you something.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: What's one area of your life that you're suddenly curious about again?
- 23:02SPEAKER_00: Maybe you wanted to be a photographer.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're a writer.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: Maybe you wanted to write a book.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: I know that's on my list, but not yet.
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: I do have one written somewhere in my files.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: Maybe you want to go take pictures.
- 23:23SPEAKER_00: There's still one I wanted to do.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: I wanted to take photographs of churches all around.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: I don't know why.
- 23:30SPEAKER_00: I think they're just I do know why they're beautiful.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: I love architecture.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: I love like New York and the buildings.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's something that you want to stop doing.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Maybe you don't want to be in bed.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: Maybe you want a little bit of structure.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Maybe you don't want to scroll until two or three in the morning.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's something that you didn't even ever give yourself permission to explore.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: Like I didn't explore podcasting for three, four years when I wanted to do it.
- 24:08SPEAKER_00: Maybe today is the day.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: And most of all, don't overthink it.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: That's my advice to you.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: And I don't like to give a lot of advice.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: I just like to give things that I do because I'm a big overthinker and we all know where that goes.
- 24:23SPEAKER_00: What's the first thing that comes to your mind?
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: And sometimes that you start paying attention to yourself, you actually discover things that you weren't even expecting.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: That's exactly what happened to me.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: Because I thought it was completely done with shadow work, and then I did one simple exercise.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: I sat in front of a mirror and I looked at myself for five minutes.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: No phone, no music, no distractions.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: And what happened to me was not what I expected.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: So that's what we're gonna talk about next.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: Go get it, girl.
