- 0:00Speaker: I see all good people now.
- 0:02Speaker: Who can't learn more?
- 0:06Speaker: Who can't become more?
- 0:08Speaker: Who can't practice more?
- 0:10Speaker: Is a question to be asking oneself all the time.
- 0:13Speaker: Seeking self-improvement.
- 0:16Speaker: Learning.
- 0:17Speaker: Eventually learning.
- 0:19Speaker: Sometimes it takes time.
- 0:20Speaker: We're slow to pick up on our own recommendations.
- 0:26Speaker: It's okay.
- 0:27Speaker: I think probably most likely all of us are this way in different ways, each unique.
- 0:34Speaker: So together as a society, as a world, we can learn from each other.
- 0:40Speaker: We are lucky enough to have a medium of communication where we can do that.
- 0:45Speaker: We can foster this opportunity, papers, books, magazines, articles.
- 0:50Speaker: We are very lucky today.
- 0:53Speaker: And it signifies the greatness of our responsibility toward each other, mankind, and everything else upon this planet, in this planet, beyond this planet, the atmosphere.
- 1:10Speaker: All the different regions that are borders, like our skin.
- 1:16Speaker: A human being's largest organ is our skin.
- 1:19Speaker: It is the border between inner and outer space of you and I.
- 1:24Speaker: Being comfortable, undisturbed, becoming more and more aware of your physicality, your heat emanating, your blood circulating through your body, through all the reaches of one's self.
- 1:42Speaker: One's chest rising and subsiding in the effort and activity of one's lungs.
- 1:51Speaker: Being aware of these things as they occur is a beginning of finding one's foundation on a physical basis.
- 2:00Speaker: It is what we have already accomplished, it's already done.
- 2:06Speaker: It is like getting on a boat for a small journey through the jungle, on a beautiful river, to see what there is to be seen.
- 2:16Speaker: What is the first thing we need to do?
- 2:18Speaker: We need to sit down on our bench seat, along with our fellow humanity, to get ready to take off on our journey.
- 2:27Speaker: And this is what we have done.
- 2:29Speaker: This is what we can consider and think to do in one way, shape, or form in every moment of our lives, the more the better.
- 2:37Speaker: Understanding we won't.
- 2:40Speaker: But understanding also the will to do this increases the number of times one does it.
- 2:48Speaker: Increasing the number of times that one is aware increases the value, the weight of one's activities.
- 2:58Speaker: If you want to, we can consider this within the context of a day.
- 3:04Speaker: If you want to winnow this down, one can consider this in the context of a year.
- 3:11Speaker: But we've just lost 365 days to make a year.
- 3:16Speaker: A day is a nice way to consider one's life.
- 3:20Speaker: Because it is full.
- 3:22Speaker: But we need to be mindful of the fullness of a day.
- 3:27Speaker: 86, 400 seconds.
- 3:31Speaker: We need to be mindful of this.
- 3:32Speaker: Otherwise, they fly and are gone.
- 3:37Speaker: And in essence, our time is lost or stored in such a way that it is seemingly, increasingly unavailable for our retrieving it.
- 3:51Speaker: Come on.
- 3:54Speaker: Being here in this moment, now, is eternity.
- 4:02Speaker: There is a long cascading motion before us, and it continues beyond on the other side.
- 4:12Speaker: Our hands can be knit together, fingers to fingers, thumbs to thumbs, or perhaps one's arms are spread out from one sides, lifted as if reaching for time on both sides of one's torso, the past to the future, and in the middle of which is one's physical body, one's torso, one's mind in the moment, right now, or fingers knitted together, feeling the warmth, or feeling the muscular activity of one's arms and shoulders, regardless of posture, feeling the weight of gravity pulling you down, humming inside, becoming more clear, calm, resourceful, aware, alive, awakening to one's own being, thinking, DNA, how old, feeling one's body in motion, one's chest, one's whole body undulating in activity, in your heart's pressurizing one's vascular system again and again and again.
- 5:45Speaker: It is one's cadence of life.
- 5:47Speaker: It is always changing also.
- 5:49Speaker: You don't run at the same speed all the time every day.
- 5:53Speaker: No no no no no no no.
- 5:56Speaker: It changes, it fluctuates.
- 5:59Speaker: Being aware of the rhythms, being aware of as much as one can be, and allowing everything in between, being kind and gentle, compassionate, one must be having empathy.
- 6:25Speaker: Oh, so very important to have virtuosity, patience, humility, gratitude.
- 6:37Speaker: These are words, yes, and yet they symbolize greater possibilities, wider perceptions.
- 6:44Speaker: More important are these greater possibilities in how one behaves towards oneself or in one's social environment with others.
- 6:56Speaker: And I leave the others open to include everything.
- 7:07Speaker: It could be a dog or a cat or a cow or a bird or a fish or the leaf of a plant or a flower or a thought.
- 7:23Speaker: Be aware of one's feet, of one's toes, spreading them out gently, one's heels, one's hands again, one's arms.
- 7:37Speaker: Where are we now?
- 7:39Speaker: The physical gestures each of us are making allow them to rest, to soften and change, transforming, practicing, being different, being playful, being curious, utilizing one's sensitivities as a tool to learn and expand one's own knowledge of oneself.
- 8:07Speaker: Today we have the capacity on a computer to ask questions on the internet.
- 8:15Speaker: One can find almost any answer to almost any question.
- 8:20Speaker: Read, study, be playful, be curious, enjoy, learn, expand, become.
- 8:33Speaker: One practices doing these things.
- 8:36Speaker: This is why there is such a thing as a formal education.
- 8:40Speaker: Schools, why?
- 8:41Speaker: Because you're practicing every day when you go to school.
- 8:44Speaker: Am I right or wrong?
- 8:45Speaker: You're practicing.
- 8:47Speaker: You're practicing, learning the way your society's educational system has decided one should learn.
- 8:53Speaker: Is it better or is it worse?
- 8:55Speaker: Is it something or is it nothing?
- 8:57Speaker: It is somewhere in the middle or in between these different questions or concepts.
- 9:03Speaker: Can we improve our educational system?
- 9:08Speaker: Well, that's a silly question.
- 9:11Speaker: Of course, we can improve everything.
- 9:14Speaker: And in particular, our educational systems need improvement to foster better traits in us, human beings, more virtues, and the truth, authenticity, rather than ignoring the truth or adding in lies.
- 9:38Speaker: We need to be honest.
- 9:42Speaker: This is not fifteen or twenty thousand years ago when Nugog didn't know Mahway, and we were all just busy trying to survive in the next day.
- 9:57Speaker: You're hungry, you go to a restaurant or call in food on Uber, or you go to a store, or you go to your refrigerator or your cupboard.
- 10:08Speaker: It is not the same.
- 10:10Speaker: Remember, Not so long ago.
- 10:13Speaker: I hear too often people don't have enough time.
- 10:18Speaker: They are inundated and overwhelmed already.
- 10:22Speaker: So, in essence, leave me alone.
- 10:24Speaker: I can't do more than I am.
- 10:26Speaker: Maybe people need to examine themselves to see what they are doing wrong or right, or what one could do better or worse.
- 10:39Speaker: This is mindful meditation and action.
- 10:43Speaker: This is what the purpose of mindful meditation is.
- 10:47Speaker: The simple part is meditating.
- 10:51Speaker: The more industrious part is in thinking with your brain.
- 10:59Speaker: Being here now, a bundle of miracles, feeling one's heat, one's pulse, one's breath, one's body shimmering and undulating with energy in awe, in ecstasy, for what one is discovering.
- 11:22Speaker: This is natural twenty-four hours a day.
- 11:27Speaker: It is here.
- 11:28Speaker: If you want to play the game of awareness, oftentimes mankind chooses to fade these basic truths to pursue more superficial areas of interest or concern or possibility or necessity or responsibility.
- 11:50Speaker: Understood, right?
- 11:52Speaker: We're not living in la la land here.
- 11:54Speaker: We're trying to be honest and authentic.
- 11:57Speaker: We don't live in the clouds, we live on the surface of our planet, on the seas and the land.
- 12:03Speaker: Being humble before the majesty, the immensity of a creation of which we haven't really even broached the subject of today.
- 12:18Speaker: Look at the horizon and what is beyond it for you in the air, at the border between the air and space, and beyond, and you, the end of your nose, warm, if you like also breathing in air.
- 12:41Speaker: Humbled before the difference between the two, the immensity of what is we are unaware of.
- 12:50Speaker: We don't know.
- 12:51Speaker: Thankful.
- 12:54Speaker: Not last and certainly not least, to be thankful is to have gratitude and appreciation.
- 13:06Speaker: Perspective, To have these characteristics or traits or moments of appreciation "are" conditions for being in awe.
- 13:18Speaker: Put them together.
- 13:20Speaker: Allow oneself to be in awe of what there is, of what we are aware of, of oneself.
- 13:36Speaker: The music continues for another moment, time sixty.
- 13:44Speaker: So you have plenty of time.
- 13:47Speaker: Float in your sea of tranquility and awe, reverberating with life energy. namaste
